Description

Bill Lucas

Image

Name: William "Bill" Lucas

Image

Alias(s): Detective Michael Adams, Special Agent Lawrence, James Peters

Age: 30

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 220

Physical Appearance: Bill has short dark hair that brigthens up during the summer months. He's around average height and has a tasteful amount of muscles. He is fit but not overly fit; being fit is kind of in the hunter job description. His eyes are a cool blue color, and depending on how money is and the hunt he's on, he may or may not have a clean-shaven face. He wears casual clothes unless he needs to wear a suit for investigative purposes. He's never had a problem catching the eye of really nice one-night stands; his grin can melt a lot of hearts. His real smile is something he only shows to select people... mainly his brother.

Image

Likes:beer, sunglasses, guns, women, his car, fries, pizza, dogs, O'hara bar, peanut butter

Dislikes: licorice, babblers, cigarettes, cats, mini vans, Demons, werewolves

Fears: his brother dying

Personality: He can come off as a womanizer, and he can be crude with a sarcastic sense of humor. Sometimes he speaks his mind when he probably shouldn't, and he could probably drink a little less. However, he's a very nice guy at heart. He wants to help people, that's why he's a hunter... Well, that's why he has stayed a hunter over the years... He is very protective and knows he must get on his little brother's nerves. It isn't just his brother though, he would jump in front of a bullet for an innocent bystander if he had too. It wouldn't be ideal, and he would grumble and complain if he didn't die, but he would never regret saving someone's life.

The thin shell of a womanizing drunk that covers him is actually quite easy to see past, even though he would refute that all day long.

Family: a younger brother, TBA

Brief History: Bill was just a boy when his parents were killed by a monster, an honest monster. It wasn't a sick human being, it was a m-o-n-s-t-e-r. He still couldn't figure out how he and his baby brother had lived, maybe the monster was full or maybe he just didn't like kids. Whatever the reason, he and his brother had no parents. They were separated into different foster homes until many years later when Bill finally tracked his brother down.

Bill became a hunter as soon as he was legally free from the system. It was hard at first, he had no idea what to do or how to start but twelve years later he had it down pat.

He stumbled across the O'Hara bar after over-hearing some hunters he came across on one hunt. He had never felt as at home as he did when he was there. His few dim memories of his parents' home didn't even really compare.

Bill drummed his fingers on the steering wheel as he drove to his brother's motel. It was really early, and he would rather be asleep, but he hadn't seen Jeremy in a couple of months. They had been on opposite sides of the country and were just now close enough to visit. They had decided to head to the O'hara Tavern since it was relatively in the middle of where they both were; it seemed like a nice meeting place. However, Bill couldn't wait for their meeting time at the bar; Jeremy had just finished up a case with a nasty poltergeist and Bill was worried.

As he got closer and closer to the motel, it got brighter and brighter outside. He rolled his shoulders, wincing as he felt the pang in his left shoulder from where he'd been tossed around by a demon. He hated demons, but he sent the bastard back to Hell so his stiff shoulders weren't much of a drawback. One down... "Too many to go..." he grumbled. Was it just him, or did other hunters feel like they killed one just so two more showed up?

He grimaced when he pulled into the motel parking lot where his brother was staying. Working as a hunter made settling down a bitch, taught every good hunter how to do some self-stitching, and left a good salary to be desired, but that didn't mean his brother had to stay in such a crappy little place. He sighed; it was the dog. Jeremy took that dog everywhere and always ended up in the crappiest little places because they were the only ones that allowed dogs on Jeremy's budget.

He walked to the room where his brother was supposed to be staying. "Jerry!" he yelled, banging on the door. "Open up, Jerry!"

"My name is Jeremy," the shorter man replied, opening the door.

"Sure, Jerry, I know," Bill replied with a smile, stumbling back a bit when the dog jumped at him. "Hey, Cherry, girl," he said, crouching down and rubbing the dog's head. He stood and examined his brother, noticing a cut on his cheek. "Are you okay?" he asked, worried.

Jeremy frowned and shook his head. "It's fatal," he said. "Two inches long and a centimeter deep; the doctor said I don't have long."

"Ha. Ha. I forgot how funny you are," Bill replied. Jeremy laughed. "It's not funny."
"It's a little funny," the shorter man replied. "When are we going to the bar?"
"You wanna drink already? It's not even lunchtime yet." Bill plopped down on the bed, noticing that it was made perfectly as if his brother hadn't even touched it. He pushed Cherry aside when she went straight for his face with her tongue. "Did you get any sleep?"
Jeremy shrugged and pulled his shirt off, grabbing another one from his bag. "I passed out on the floor," he replied, pulling his new shirt on. "Cherry kept me company, didn't ya girl?" he questioned with a smile, rubbing her head lovingly.
Bill was really good at picking out lies, especially when it was his brother, but he also knew when he should point out that fact. Now wasn't one of those times. Instead, he grinned evilly. "If that dog were human then maybe you would get laid."
"Bill!" Jeremy yelled. "You're disgusting."
Bill laughed. "Let's get some food and then head over to the bar. Cassie might have some cases we can work on locally before we part ways again."

Bill laughed as he watched his brother scarf down a large stack of pancakes. He found it sad that he had been the one to introduce the man to pancakes, especially since it had only been a few years ago when he'd done it. Bill, himself, had had pancakes homemade from his mother... Not a healthy train of thought. "I'm glad you didn't bring the dog in," he teased. "I know how much you wanted to."

"Oh shut up," Jeremy replied with a grin. "You're just jealous that I have a friend."

"That was low," Bill laughed, not bothered in the slightest. He didn't begrudge his brother a friend at all, it was just easy to tease him. "The fact that your friend is a dog isn't unhealthy at all," he added sarcastically.

"She's a lot better than most humans I've met..." his brother mumbled somberly.

This is the point where Bill would frown and change the subject. He didn't know why his brother was always such a pessimist, not that he was always much better. But that's why he enjoyed beer so much; when he was drinking he felt better more than he felt worse. He wouldn't encourage his brother to drink though; he would just change the subject for him. "I bet that crazy old hunter will be at the bar by now. He'll probably be raving about the clowns in the bathroom again." It worked because Jeremy laughed. "If he is you owe me a beer."

"You enjoy the fact that I'm twenty-one now don't you?" Jeremy replied, shaking his head.

"Hell yes," Bill replied. "Now I don't have to buy my own drinks!" He took a swig of his coffee. "Finish up and we'll hit the road. We can be there by lunchtime after we go grab your stuff and Cherry. I'm sure she misses you."

"Sounds like a plan," Jeremy said, excited to visit the bar again. He hadn't been in a while.

Bill gulped the rest of his coffee, ready to hit the road, when a rather loud voice spoke from the counter area of the diner they were in. He looked and saw an older man, maybe sixty, looking very angry and disheveled like he hadn't showered in a month. He was blabbering angrily at the waitress behind the counter, waving his arms around like he was telling some sort of story, and by the looks of it it was quite the story.

"Oh, don't worry about him," their waitress said as she reached the Lucas brothers' table with their check. "That's ol' Crazy Carl; he looks mean but wouldn't hurt a fly."

"Is he drunk?" Jeremy questioned incredulously. "It's not even eleven yet."

The kindly woman sighed and frowned as she gathered the empty plates from their table. "Poor ol' Carl," she mumbled. "He hasn't put the bottle down since his wife was killed about..." She looked deep in thought. "Well... It must have been thirty years ago... Yeah; I was just a little girl then. It was all very sad. He comes in here all of the time, always goin' on 'bout her like she was still there with him."

"You don't believe in ghosts?" Bill questioned with a charming smile.

The woman flushed and smiled. "I'm a romantic so I'd like to believe she stuck around for him, but Miss Clara was such a nice lady. He talks about something dark and horrible." She shrugged. "He drinks so much though that it's really no surprise. He probably gets hurt during his drunken stupors. Okay, boys, just whenever you're ready, leave cash on the table or take it up to the register. Alrighty?"

The brothers smiled and nodded as she walked off. Jeremy turned to his brother. "Sounds like a spurned spirit to me."

"It does indeed," Bill replied, pulling some cash from his wallet. "How about we offer Crazy Carl some Jack and our services?"

Crazy Carl was actually a really cool guy, he was just a scared drunk. And as a hunter, scared drunks weren't all that uncommon. In fact, Bill thought it was weird if someone "normal" didn't wanna grab the closest bottle and freak-out a little bit. Hell, he needed the bottle sometimes!

Anyways... Carl was a nice guy who got the shit stick in life. He married his high school sweetheart, Clara, and they were happy- googly-eyes, kissy-faces, holding hands in public, being so vanilla and cute that it was almost sickening and all of that romantic crap. They were married for about five years when everything went to Hell. Carl had gone out with some buddies, a weekly poker night, and when he got home he found his wife's dead body in their living room. There was no blood or even any bruising so the doctors and policemen all convinced him it was something natural, but the dark force haunting him was anything but natural.

"Thirty years with an angry ghost-wife," Jeremy said in sympathy-laced disbelief, "No wonder he's a drunk." They were in Bill's car, heading to the man's house.

Bill chuckled. "Men get drunk over alive and kicking wives, Jerry. I might prefer a ghost to the real thing myself."

"And you make fun of my dog," the younger brother replied. He grinned. "I'm pretty sure Cassie isn't a ghost," he said, grin growing when he noticed his brother's shoulders stiffen. "Wouldn't you prefer her?"

"Shut up," Bill replied, feeling that annoying warmth in his chest at the thought of the lovely bar-owner. "That was a long time ago."

Jeremy shrugged. "It was your idea to go to the bar, not mine. Just sayin'."

"And I'm just sayin' that you should drop it." He gripped the steering wheel a bit tighter. That had been a long time ago, and he didn't still think about her; he didn't. Yeah, right, he thought sarcastically. Every time he was thirsty he thought of beer, in turn he thought of the O'Hara Tavern, in turn he thought of the O'Hara family, and when he thought about the O'Haras he really only thought about her.

And he was thirsty a lot. Okay. He really needed to focus on the case at hand.

About an hour later, both Bill and Jeremy had been tossed around like ragdolls by one very spurned wife-spirit. She was angry as hell that she had been taken away from her husband but even more mad that he believed it had been natural. She had been drugged but with the medical capabilities thirty years ago, no one could see that. They had salted and burned her body, which was buried in the back beneath the woman's favorite tree, but she was still very much alive... or... adead would make more sense. Regardless, Bill and Jeremy were having a hard-ass time trying to find whatever it was that was keeping her here, and Crazy Carl was no help. He passed out as soon as she materialized before him.

Jeremy had a fresh cut on his face and quite possibly a fractured rib. It hurt to breathe too deeply. As he ducked from the vase launched at his head, an idea struck him. He needed to find Carl's bedroom. "Bill! The bedroom! We need to find the bedroom!"

His brother nodded and ran off down a hallway, Jeremy ran for the stairs cringing the whole way. Maybe he had two fractured ribs...

Another few minutes later and Jeremy found what he had hoped to find- a woman's hairbrush. He grabbed it, still with hair stuck in the bristles, and ran out of the room. "Bill! I've got it!" he yelled at the top of the stairs.

Bill ran to the bottom of the stairs. "Good job Jerry! Now get your ass down here so we can destroy the damn thing!"

Jeremy smirked in triumph, going to take that first step, when a look of horror crossed his brother's face. "Jeremy! Look out!" Okay, it had to be bad if Bill used his actual name. And it was because he felt a harsh shove on his back before he began tumbling down the stairs. Screw fractures, he had broken bones.

Bill tried to cushion even a little bit of his brother's fall. He saved him from a few steps at least. "Don't move," he instructed, grabbing the brush still held in his brother's hand. "I'll get rid of that bitch."

Not moving was definitely easy to do. He wouldn't have moved if he wanted to! He took shallow breaths because anything else hurt, and he wanted to punch himself in the face when he cheered as the ghost burst into flames at the top of the stairs; that hurt like Hell!

"Yeah," he mumbled, "Rest in peace, bitch."

Bill ran back to his brother and crouched down next to him. "What's the damage?" he questioned, looking the younger man up and down.

"My face is bleeding, and my ribcage has gone to shit," Jeremy replied. "All together, I'm perfect. I consider this a job well done."

"If this is your good job, then I'd hate to see your bad," Bill replied with a frown. In fact, he hoped he never saw it. Seeing his brother like this was bad enough; it was one of the reasons they hunted separately. Working with your family was too worrisome and too nerve-racking. "I don't think anything is broken, but I do think you'll be sore for a while. Let's get you up," he added, offering his support.

They hobbled to the car, Bill carrying most of his brother's weight, which was actually kind of difficult because of all the damn muscle he'd built up over the years. He remembered holding his adorable little brother easily, this kind of sucked.

Jeremy was in the passenger seat, reclined back with Cherry in his lap, as they made their way to the Tavern. Bill wanted his brother to rest but the motel was out of the question because that bed wasn't fit for the dog, and he really needed a drink. So it was best to continue with the day's plan and go to the bar. Plus, he knew that the bar had a nice stock of first-aid supplies, stuff which he had run out of and needed to restock, and he could do with a couple ice packs and pain meds. Not to mention the new cut on his brother's face; it needed some attention. It was much deeper than the other one.

They reached the bar a short while later, noticing quite a few people already there. "Looks like a party," Bill said with a smile as he helped his brother out of the car. He carried most of his weight again and they kind of stumbled through the doors. "A little help?" he questioned.

Nodding Toril turned to looks at the O'Haras, both of which she was familiar with. Cassie always helped her how ever she could. And Liam, let's just say he was so convinced she'd be amazing in bed that he ignored her scars. Leaving back in her seat she waited for somthing interesting to happen. It almost always did when more than two hunters got together. And when a pair of injured hunters stumbled through the doors it didn't seen like she had to wait long. "A little help?" the older of the pair said.

Toril hopped out of her seat and walked over to support the more injured guys other side. " Liam, clear the bar, I'll take a look at him from there." Laim nodded and started removing things from the bar " you gonna need the big first aide kit?" he asked her and her only reply was a ' no shit' look.

Cassandra O'Hara

Hearing the door open, Cassie's head shot up, a smile appearing on her face as Hector and Toril walked into the building, she had to admit it was good to see them again and a wave of relief washed over heras it had been a few months since she had last seen them; it was in her nature to worry about friends. "Good to see you two" she said softly with a small nod, moving behind the bar and placed two cold beers in front of them.

Leaning on her elbows on the long mahogany bar, Cassie smiled as she watched the people around her, she considered ever one of her regulars family and when they were all together she felt complete, although there were also those times when some would never return...those moments almost killed her. They had lost many people over the years but death was just one of those things you learnt to deal with at an early age when you grew up in the hunter lifestyle, it was a sad fact but a fact at that. Releasing a small smile, Cassie's smile faltered slightly as she thought about those who she hadn't seen in while and as a result was worried sick about, the Lucas brothers sprung to mind. It had been a while since she had last heard from Bill and Jeremy, apart from the texts and phone calls from Jeremy, which made her love the boy more, aside from that she hadn't heard much from her two favourite men (besides her brother.) The blonde couldn't deny how much she missed them both, Jeremy was like a younger brother to her, someone she was fiercely protective over, however with Bill they use to have something, something that made her believe  a happy ending could happen, the one main regret in life was letting him go.

Sighing, Cassie brought her own beer to her lips, technically she shouldn't drink whilst working but she was the boss, she could do whatever the fuck she wanted. Her attention soon turned towards Hector who seemed to be intoxicated with her new bar maid, rolling her eyes at them both she decided to play match maker, those two looked like they could do with a little fun"Hector, this is Hera, my new barmaid" she spoke mischievously, hiding her smirk behind the beer bottle.

 "A little help?"

The familiar voice, caused Cassie's head to shoot up as she swallowed the lump in her throat, it was Bill, her heartbeat quickened as she looked at him 'damn him for still being so freakin handsome' she cursed silently, before noticing an injured Jeremy being supported by his brother. "Jer" she gasped, worry filling her senses "What happened?" Cassie asked sternly, her voice carrying louder than she had originally hoped.

Bill tried to focus on his brother and the woman who helped support him, but there was no way in Hell he could do that with Cassie so close. Her worried voice rang in his ears and he almost couldn't think of anything else. A grunt of pain from his brother brought him back to his senses enough to talk. He and the woman practically carried the younger man to the bar.

"We met this old drunk in a diner, ranting and raving about an angry wife who died thirty years ago," Bill began. He tried not to only look at Cassie but damn it all to Hell if she didn't look even prettier than the last time he'd seen her. "Should have been a simple salt and burn, but naturally it wasn't. Big surprise there."

Jeremy spoke up as they situated him at the bar, wincing as he was moved around. "An old hairbrush upstairs was the only thing keeping her around."

"Bitch pushed him down the stairs," Bill concluded.

Jeremy laughed but it turned into a groan. "Everything hurts. Thank you, by the way," he said to the woman who was helping him. He smiled at Liam too who was in charge of the firstaid kit.

Bill stayed close to his brother but still only had eyes for Cassie. "I thought it would be best to bring him straight here because the beds here are a whole lot better than the shitty ones he pays for." He finally managed to pull his eyes away from the blonde and nodded a greeting at her brother. He turned to the others in the bar and nodded as well. "Howdy," he said.

"Bill," Jeremy said, "Cherry is stuck in the car. Get her out."

"No," he said, "I'll go get her when you're fixed up." However, when Jeremy turned those pleading eyes to him he cursed. "Fuck. Fine," he grumbled. He looked at Cassie. "Watch him for me will ya'?" And he left to get the dog.

Hector Dorothy

Hector just nodded at he caught her name ignoring Cassie's mischievous tone. She thought that Hector was interested from a bachelor standpoint and that was not the case. Hector was interested in Hera as you might be interested in a book because of it has a cool cover. Hector kept fine lines between different kinds of interest because otherwise it caused unnecessary complications. For example when he once told a women at a bar sh interested him because he couldn't place her accent, he ended up punched in the face because she thought he was interested sexually. From the corner of his eye he glimpsed Toril who had sat down near him. He was unsure what category of interest he placed her in and that interested him even more.
Hector looked to the door as Bill and Jeremy came through, Jeremy leaning heavily against Bill. He wasn't oblivious to Cassie's sudden nervousness as she noticed Bill and he stopped his smile from increasing. He would call her out on that later as a little revenge for her trying to play matchmaker.
Hector watched as everyone around him got to work helping injured hunters. As he thought before comfort was not his expertise. The skills used for hunting the supernatural didn't really apply in the business of making people feel better. When he saw Bill leaving to get the dog from the car he saw his chance to escape.
"I'll help you with that." he said hopping out of his seat to leave after bill. Personally he hated dogs, too much like wolves, but he needed to get away from Hera's captivating eyes.

Cassandra O'Hara

As Bill and Toril helped Jeremy to the bar, Cassie hurried back behind the bar, putting ice into a cloth before returning and holding it to Jeremy's head, a sense of relief washing over her as the youngest Lucas brother's injuries didn't look like anything overly serious, she had no idea what she would have done if they had of been. Cassie run her fingers up and down Jeremy's arm like a mother would comfort a child, laughing at herself on the inside, she had no idea she was that maternal. Suddenly she felt Bill's cool eyes on her and instantly she felt as if her knees were to buckle, why did he have to have such an effect on her. Finally turning her gaze onto the man who had stolen her heart the day he had first walked into her bar (although she would never admit that) Cassie offered a small but warm smile.

"No," he said, "I'll go get her when you're fixed up." However, when Jeremy turned those pleading eyes to him he cursed. "Fuck. Fine," he grumbled. He looked at Cassie. "Watch him for me will ya'?" And he left to get the dog.

Cassie laughed slightly at the brothers, trust Jeremy to be worried about his dog even though, he was beaten to hell, but then again she supposed she would have been the same, however what amused Cassie even more was what a sap Bill was around his brother and she found herself biting her lip to keep from saying anything. "I won't let him out of my sight" Cassie smirked at Bill before he left to fetch the dog.

Sighing she looked down at Jeremy and smiled warmly "it's good to see you Jer, despite the fact that I remember saying if the next time you walked into my and you were injured again I would kick your ass" she quipped, raising her  eyebrow slightly with a smirk "I'll just wait till your feeling better" she laughed placing a quick kiss onto the side of his head before turning to Toril and Liam.

"Get him patched up then we can move him to the house."

"Thanks," Bill said as he was followed out to his car. "Damn dog," he mumbled, seeing the Beagle clawing at his passenger side window; he could hear her barking as well. He jogged to the car. "If you've scratched my seats then I'm getting my brother a new dog!" He pulled the door open and the dog jumped at him, attacking his face with her tongue. "I promise," he said to the dog, trying not to laugh as he pushed her off, "He's going to be okay." She looked at him with an all too smart tilt of her head, like she knew what he was saying, before she noticed the stranger. "That's Hector," he said. "Her name is Cherry. She's harmless, just protective."

Jeremy Lucas

Jeremy was a little nervous with a stranger helping him, but she was nice and he was glad for the help. Then, of course, Cassie's presence made it all okay. He smiled at her. "Save some of that ass kicking for my brother; he always gets mad when I make him worry." He really wished his brother wasn't so stupid because Cassie was amazing. "Sorry about this," he said to the ones helping him.

Toril shook her head, " it's fine, I figure my medical experience should be shared with other hunters so that they don't go through what I did." she smiled as she took in the heavily bruised ribs of the man who had still not given her his name. " I'm Toril by the way.." she glanced up at Liam, " ace bandage please." he nodded and handed it to her. " oh and some tape, I'm going to have to tape these in to place.

Liam did as he was told all the while keeping half an eye on his sister. He knew that she and Bill had a thing, he just didn't know how serious it was up until this point. Now watching the way his sister reacted to the hunter just walking in to the room made Liam think that she loved him. He didn't know how he felt about that, but he knew that if his sister w happy that was all that mattered.

. "Save some of that ass kicking for my brother; he always gets mad when I make him worry." Cassie laughed at Jeremy's statement before smiling warmly "you make us all worried" she replied, "so a ghost made you her bitch huh?" Cassie quipped with a smirk, trying to lighten the mood before turning to Toril "how's he looking? Anything broken?".

Thankfully nothing was "I've got some aspirin up at the house, I'll go and get it" she offered with a small smile before turning to her brother "make yourself useful and watch my bar" she said, still feeling incredibly angry at Liam for going into that vampire nest without back up, shaking her head slightly Cassie decided to continue the argument later, she still felt that Liam had no idea how upset she was over the whole thing, if he had died, she would have been alone in the world, something she feared more than death itself.

Slipping past the people, Cassie noticed Beau starting to follow her, with a smile and a scratch behind the Rottweilers ear, she ordered him to stay before she walked outside, immediately stopping when she saw Bill with Cherry in his arms. Offering him a small wave, accompanied with one of her greatest smiles, Cassie was tempted to walk over there, however she remembered Jeremy still inside in pain and so reluctantly walked away and towards her house.

Hector Dorothy

Hector just nodded his head as Bill talked to the dog. When Hector came outside with Bill he really didn't expect to actually be any help, at most he would open the door when they went back inside. He could take some consolation in the fact it was a small dog unlike a golden retriever or anything like that. Even with this considered a dog was a dog and nothing more. Why people chose to defy the dogs wild nature and make them pets was beyond him. He wasn't going to give Bill the impression that he was scared of dogs though so he walked towards the car. He couldn't keep himself from jumping as the dog jumped from the car and licked Bill's face. Pull yourself together. You've faced vampires without flinching this dog is nothing. he thought instantly composing himself. He pulled his hand from the handle of his sword and walked forward to pat the dog on the head. He had touched the dog with his prosthetic hand so he understood when the dog started sniffing at it in confusion. He pulled away when the dog felt inclined to taste his hand.
He was wiping his hand on his jacket when he saw Cassie come outside. She offered a small wave in their direction but it wasn't hard to figure out that it wasn't directed at him in particular. "Know what Bill i think i'll take rain check." he said giving bill a pat on the back before walking towards Cassie. In all the fuss over the injured he hadn't actually said hello yet. "So what have you been up to?" He asked falling in step beside her. He thought he already knew the answer to this question but it was a good conversation starter. She had probably been attending the bar while all the other hunters went on hunts. When he thought about it he couldn't remember the last time they had gone on a hunt together. Maybe he should ask her if she wanted to take part in his next hunt. He would have asked then but with Liam injured as he was it probably wasn't the best time.

Jeremy Lucas

Jeremy offered a smile to the woman but winced when she began to wrap him up. "I'm Jeremy," he grimaced. He tried to take soothing breaths but they hurt too. "I promise I'm not usually like this," he tried to joke. He was kind of embarrassed to have let a simple spirit get the best of him. And he wasn't a fan of his brother treating him like a kid; it was only okay when Cassie did it. She wasn't even treating him like a kid really, more like a younger brother. Bill on the other hand treated him like a baby brother- there is a difference.

Jeremy turned a grin towards Liam. "You look like shit," he said. The older O'Hara looked like he had gone through Hell and back.

Bill Lucas

Bill chuckled as the dog invaded Hector's bubble; her curiosity was cute if not a little awkward. He was hyper-aware of when the bar opened and Cassie walked out. Okay. Seriously, he needed to do something about this. He watched as Hector joined her and they walked towards the house... A house he had been in a few times... A house he wouldn't mind going in again...

He wasn't the kind of guy that thought like this, dammit! It was a lot easier when there were no emotions at all. Hell, life was easier without emotions, but sadly that was impossible. He was cursed to feel the guilt of not saving someone in time, or the pain of watching his brother have nightmares when he actually got any sleep at all. He felt angry whenever he thought of what happened to his parents and felt sad when he thought of his little brother growing up in all types of hellish homes. And now, to put the cherry on the cake, he was stuck with an unbearable ache in his chest for a woman that was right in front of him, but he thought he could never have her. The hunter lifestyle wasn't meant for relationships or gods-forbid families. He wouldn't want to put his kids through this shit and he certainly as hell wouldn't risk dying and having them put in foster care. The system had already been cruel enough to his brother.

He leaned against the hood of his car, tilting his head back to look up at the sky.

He had convinced himself that one-night stands were the best he was ever gonna get on the job, a job that he wouldn't quit for all of the world. He loved saving people and ridding the world of darkness, despite the almost nonexistent income and constant need of stitches. One-night stands were perfectly fine with him... Then came Cassie. He couldn't have spent just one night with her even if he had wanted to. She was a fierce, strong, caring, and witty woman all wrapped up in a beautiful package that never failed to get his blood pumping faster. If he ever had to imagine the perfect woman, it would be her.

With her, suddenly he wanted more than a night or two. He wanted to settle down. He wanted a family. He wanted everything that his job, her job for that matter, would not allow. Being with her had been a mistake for his brain, but there was no way in Hell that he would ever convince his heart that being with her had been anything but right. Going separate ways with her had been like parting with half of his body.

He sighed and walked to the doors of the bar, Cherry following him excitedly. "Go check on him," he said, opening the door enough for her to get in. He didn't follow. He let the door close and went back to his car. He pulled out his phone and shot his brother a text. Going for drive. Be back in a bit.

Nothing cleared his head like a drive in his car. He wouldn't be gone long, just long enough to shake off the gooey romantic turmoil that was distracting him.

"I'll have one of those if you don't mind," Jeremy said to Liam. He could really use the burn. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket so he pulled it out. Going for drive. Be back in a bit. He sighed, thinking that his brother was really childish. Sometimes he thought that he should have been the older one. He quickly typed a reply. She'll still be here when you get back you know. "Cherry!" he exclaimed happily as the dog reached him. He reached to pet her but he groaned. Not a good idea. She looked up at him and tilted her head, her worried look. "Sorry girl," he mumbled.

He looked around and noticed a vaguely familiar woman. She was the lady to go to if you wanted a case; maybe he and his brother could ask for a case before they split up again. And maybe after my ribs heal up a bit.

Bill Lucas

Bill tossed his phone to the side, not replying to his brother's message. Of course he knew she would still be there! He wasn't running away, he was just going for a drive. Yeah! A drive...

A drive wasn't going to fix this. The only thing that could fix this was some alcohol and a good kick in the head, something to knock some sense into him. He was pretty sure that if he had the right push then everything would just make sense, and he would know what to do. He knew what he wanted, what his heart was telling him to get, but he also knew what he might be giving up. He thought too heavily about consequences and he worried to much to get serious. It was like two halves of himself were warring with each other: one half had to have her, the other half wanted her to have something better.

He felt like a damn angsty teenager; he thought he left this shit behind in high school! He sighed as he drove further away from the Tavern.

He was driving for what felt like hours (but there was no way it had been that long, probably not even an hour), when he noticed a car on the side of the road in the distance. He groaned when he noticed the smoke and the lone man under the hood. Damn his bleeding heart! He pulled his car up behind the guy and got out. "Need some help?" he questioned.

The man under the hood looked up with a large smile. "You don't even know how glad I am that you're here."

Bill offered a grin and shrugged his shoulders. "What can I say?" He approached the man and stood next to him. "So, know what the problem is yet?"

The man smiled at him and his eyes flashed black... demon black...

Bill cursed and tried to move but he was frozen in place. His eyes widened in horror. He hated damn demon mojo!

"I've seen your car around the Tavern," the demon said, his black eyes shining gleefully. "This is perfect."

"What the hell?" Bill growled out, still trying to move.

The demon let out a growl of his own, one far more menacing then Bill could manage himself. "Not Hell," he said, "Not yet. But I'll give you a taste. I'll give every one of you damn hunters a taste." He pulled something out of the jacket he was wearing, a menacing-looking dagger. "You see this?" he questioned, grabbing the hunter and pulling him around the car that was no longer smoking. "This little beauty was forged in Hellfire," he grinned evilly and placed the tip of the thing against Bill's cheek, digging it in just enough to draw a drop of blood. "You feel it don't you?"

Feel it? Feel it!? Hell the fuck yes he felt it! He almost bit his tongue off from trying not to scream.

"Yeah," the demon said, digging the dagger in further, pulling it down. "It cuts the Hellfire right into your flesh... Wonderful isn't it?" He sneered. "Now the next time you feel like you have the right to say 'hurts like Hell' you'll understand what the fuck you're saying." He pulled the dagger away, proud of the ugly, bleeding, line going down the hunter's face. "And that's only a papercut." He suddenly dug the dagger into Bill's shoulder and this time he couldn't stop the scream that ripped itself from his throat.

The demon pushed the man into his backseat and slammed the door. He wouldn't be going anywhere. He whistled happily as he went to the man's car and started going through it, laughing when he found the man's phone. It was one of those old phones too that didn't have a passcode on it. One good thing about hunters: they're cheap. He looked through the contents, only finding a few messages from one person, most likely a brother. There were a couple of messages though that were really old and locked so they couldn't be deleted, all from the name Cassie. He recognized that as the owner of the Tavern... He grinned and went back to his own car, hearing the screams through the glass. Damn, was he glad he grabbed that thing.

He tapped on the glass. "Hey," he said, "Say cheese." He snapped a few pictures glad that the phone had the crappy little camera on it. He picked the best one and sent it to both the supposed brother and the possible lover. "This should be fun," he said with a grin, tossing the phone away and climbing into his own car, driving off.

"I could say the same thing for you." Cassie couldn't help but laugh at that statement "touche" she agreed with a small smile, he was right she seemed a little bit of a hypocrite, she couldn't even remember the last time she had even taken a day off from the bar, however in all fairness, in her eyes no one was capable of looking after her bar whilst she was away, not even her brother, nope Liam would probably send her into bankrupsy by giving all her alcohol away for free to the pretty girls in a feeble attempt of getting them into bed. Shaking her head, she surprised herself at acknowledging the fact that she would trust no one with her bar, even her kin or closest friends, she reasoned it was similar to Bill's attachment to his car.

"What alterior motive could I possibly have?" Rolling her eyes, the blonde shook her head "you know if you wanted to know if I was sleeping with him, all you had to do was ask" she retorted as they left the house to walk back over to the bar, stopping momentarily to cast a glance over her shoulder at Hector "Which the answer to is no, that stopped a long time ago" she stated regrettably, her memory becoming fuzzy as to why they actually did call things off, maybe things were just too serious between them both? Relationships didn't seem to last very long in their lifestyle, although that didn't stop her missing him or loving him, it was just probably best to do it from afar.

Walking back into the bar, followed by Hector, she patted Beaus head in passing and walked over to Jeremy, offering him two pain killers "Take these" she ordered softly, pouring him a glass of water "You'll be all fine in no time" she smiled before turning to Cherry, scratching behind the beagles ear "hey there baby" she cooed to the dog.

Feeling her phone buzz in her pocket, Cassie grabbed it, noticing a text from Bill her brow furrowed, he never text her "your brother had just sent me a text Jer" she commented, confusion lacing her face as the phone loaded the message, gasping as a picture of Bill all battered and bloodied filled her screen "Jeremy we have a problem" she spoke worry lacing her voice.

Jeremy rolled his eyes when Cassie practically force fed him drugs, but he actually enjoyed her motherly/older sisterly attention. However, his heart stopped when she checked her phone and she spoke with such worry. He had felt his own phone vibrate and pulled it out, dreading what he might see. He just stared at the unopened message; he wasn't sure if he wanted to open it...

Bill Lucas

It hurt.

Everything fucking hurt.

There was a fire going through his veins that couldn't even be described. It hurt so much that he actually thought dying would be better. The only thing that hushed that line of thinking was the bar where his brother was and Cassie...

He didn't know where they were going or where he was. He didn't know what day it was, how long he'd been gone, nothing. He was in so much agony that what had only been less than an hour felt like lifetimes.

Hector Dorothy

Hector stayed silent for once after Cassie gave her response. That certainly wasn't the answer I was expecting he thought reentering the bar. He had thought it was potential relationship like what she proposed for him and Hera, not the remnants of a past one. That completely changed things and for a moment he regretted bringing it up. It wasn't revenge anymore now it was.....a discovery he thought regret vanishing in an instant. This was a whole period in the life of his fellow hunters he knew nothing about. But he planned to he thought letting out a mischievous grin.
He was about to delve deeper into her past relationship when she stopped to look at her phone. Her face darkened in an instant and he knew it wasn't the right time. A moment later Jeremy fished out his phone and his face darkened to the same level of Cassie's if not worse. He heard Amelia ask what happened but took no notice. If both Cassie and Jeremy were devastated by a text at the same time then there was only one possible explanation. "Something has happened to Bill." he answered knowing Cassie and Jeremy were too distracted to answer Amelia's question. Hector had adopted his rare serious face because he knew this situation called for it. The room was silent as everyone grasped the situation.
Hector was a man of action and he had spent enough time worrying about Bill and was ready to do something. "So who's up for a rescue mission?" he asked around to the assembled hunters. He was genuinly asking this question because he wasn't sure of anyones answer. Jeremy and Liam may be too beat up to go but it was Jeremy's brother and Hector doubted he could keep him from coming if he wanted too. Cassie may be too emotional to come and he didn't know anyone else well enough to make a prediction. One thing was for sure, if this thing could get Bill then he couldn't handle him alone.

Cassie froze in place, slamming her phone down onto the bar, she couldn't bear to look at that picture anymore, running her hand through her blonde curls she released a shaky breath "Bill's been taken Amy" she sighed gnawing on her bottom lip as she turned towards her friend at a loss of what to do. Her mind warped with worry although desperately trying to keep that at bay if she hoped of being any use on the rescue mission "I'm going too" she stated firmly, not leaving any room for discussion or protests, knowing that her brother would probably have one.

Turning to her brother and Jeremy she smiled weakly "you two stay here and look after things" she stated resting her hand on Jeremy's arm in comfort "we'll get him back I promise" she spoke trying to sound confident, unable to think about what would happen if they didn't.

Grabbing her jacket and car keys "He said he was going for a drive right, so there are a number of routes he could have taken, I'll take the one leading to the highway, if we have no luck in an hour, we come back here and think of something else, all right?" And with that she left the bar hurrying over to her Jeep and tore out of the car park.

---

Cassie glanced at the clock on her dashboard, she had been out for nearly an hour without any sign of Bill. Running a hand over her tired face she was about to turn around, when she noticed a car parked up ahead, narrowing her eyes she gasped upon seeing it was Bill's beloved car, pulling up in front of the car, Cassie cut the engine, grabbed a flashlight before jumping out, cautiously approaching the car. "Bill" she called out, shining her light through the car windows, her next surprise came whens she found the car door was unlocked, that was not a good sign, next to Jeremy, this car was one of the most important things in his life, there was no way the hunter would leave it unlocked. Pulling her phone out Cassie quickly typed a text message to Hector, Toril and Amy, which read:

Found Bill's car, out by route 6, 4 miles down. Hurry.

-Cas

Putting the phone back into her pocket, her flashlight started to flicker, immediately tensing up, Cassie slowly reached into her pocket and pulled out a small flask, turning around she came face to face with a man, jumping slightly "Sorry to scare you ma'am" the man smiled.

Cassie nodded offering a small smile "It's all right" she stated "Say this is my friends car, you've not seen him around have you?"

The man laughed, an evil smile tugging at his lips "Cassie, you got my picture?" he asked, his smirk deepening as Cassie’s breath hitched in her throat, her heartbeat quickening as his eyes flashing black, accompanying his menacing expression.

“What have you done with him?” Cassie asked through gritted teeth, taking a step back as he took one forward whilst discreetly unscrewing the top of the flask.

Reaching out the man brushed his fingers through her curls with a sinister smile “That doesn’t really matter at this moment” he laughed. Cassie had enough at that point, shoving him away from her, then threw the contents of the flask in his face, which made him recoil as his face burned “bitch” he screamed out. Cassie took that opportunity to run to her car, unfortunately, the man was behind her in an instant, grabbing a fistful of her hair, he slammed her head against the metal frame of the car, with a force that knocked her out instantly.
“You shouldn’t have done that” The demon muttered, picking the blonde up.

Amy watched as the hunters left the bar, the one thing she could do was find out what it was that attacked Bill, she sat down at her laptop and searched for missing people on the roads but nothing in the area came up. Her phone then buzzed and it was a message from Cassie. She had found Bill's car. Amelia stood from her table, put her laptop in her bag and snatched someone's keys and ran outside. After finding the car, she sped down Route 6, keeping an eye out for Cassie. She slammed her foot on the brakes when she saw her car and a man standing by it. She climbed of the car, a worried look on her face. "Hey mister, is everything okay? Do you need me to phone a..." She then noticed Bill's car further down the road and she knew this was where Cassie was meant to be. She looked up at the man and he was right in front of her.

Once the man stood over her, Amelia kicked him in the side and into the car bonnet. She reached into her bag and pulled out a silver stake, and stabbed him through the back. She ran over to Cassie's car and looked through the windows, hoping Cassie and Bill was in the car, but no one was. She looked back and the demon ran at her, a horrid scream emitting from Amelia's mouth. She kicked him and cried for Bill, Cassie and Hector. "Please help me!" She screamed louder, hoping for someone to hear.

Amelia watched in shock as Hector flung from the car and into the Demon. Amelia immediately did as she was told, running as fast as her legs could take her, she pulled the car door open and yanked the crossbow, but the strap was caught around something. Amelia looked up to see Hector and the creature in a fight. She started to panic and pulled at the crossbow harder. She eventually got it freed but she just looked at it and then back to Hector. "What if I miss?" She asked herself out loud and looked around for Toril, hoping she would be able to know what to do.

Amelia looked over at Bill's empty car and then to Cassie's and she froze, Where are they? What happened to them? She readied her aim and pointed to the Demon. She froze when she saw Hector's arm crack. "Oh god." She set the crossbow down. I have to help him, this way is probably better. She ran at the demon and jumped onto his back, placing her hand on his face and pulled him away from Hector.

Jeremy Lucas

Jeremy tried multiple times to get up and do something. That was his brother out there, dammit! He still couldn't bring himself to look at the picture on his phone... If it was bad he didn't think he could handle it... Or at least if it was as bad as he feared it was.

Anyways... He tried to get out there but just a deep breath was enough to make him cringe, which in turn hurt his ribs even more. Fuck! He hated being hurt! He had to watch everyone leave to help his own brother while he was stuck on a damn barstool.

Bill Lucas

Bill was able to breathe a little better now, the burning in his veins finally letting up. He wasn't sure where he was but assumed it was an abandoned house or something, most likely in the middle of nowhere. There was probably no one else around for miles...

Or maybe not.

He definitely just heard someone else breathing behind him...

He struggled in the chair he was sitting in, finding it incredibly difficult to move with his arms tied behind his back and his legs tied as well. The position was also seriously straining the aching wound on his shoulder, and his face was sticky from his own blood... Gross, but he had a more important problem right now. Who the hell was behind him? If he could just get his hands free he would make that damn demon pay.

He cried out as he fell from the chair, not able to catch himself. He landed hard, and his shoulder started burning again but no where near as hot as earlier. He had to catch his breath again before he could move, but he managed to sit up and look behind the chair.

"Cassie!" he yelled.

Tyler Richardson

Everything was going just as he had planned. He had found a relatively low-level demon that was easy to control but who was also pretty strong so it would be entertaining to see how much damage he could do.

Cassie's eyes slowly fluttered open upon hearing someone calling her name, for a moment she failed to recall where she was, the continuous throbbing on her head gave her a sharp wake up call, that and the warm gooey substance trickling down the side of her head made the memories come flooding back; the text messages, Bill's car, the demon...the latter thoughts snapped her quickly back to her senses and the mans voice immediately came clear.

"Bill" she whimpered, seeing him on the floor, tied to a chair "what's going on?" she asked trying to pull on the ropes tying her to the chair "are you okay?" Cassie asked in a horrified gasp upon seeing the extent of his injuries.

Looking around the room, her heartbeat quickened, the place looked abandoned, it was dark and gloomy and quite frankly stunk like death, she just prayed to god that someone would find them fast.

Amelia had not anticipated the demon stumbling back on top of her, she fell to the ground and hit her head on the floor. "Ouch." She sat back up and blinked a couple of times, that was when she was lifted up and thrown into Cassie's jeep, the windshield shattering around her and the hand brake making her landing all the more painful. She lay where she landed, coughing and moaning. She looked up and the demon was on top of the car looking in through the shattered windshield. "You should have let the big boys play, little girl." Smoke started to rise from his mouth and over to Amelia's. In an attempt for help, she let out one scream as the demon tried to possess her. It returned to its original meat suit and stared at her, before grabbing her by the hair and pulling her out the jeep. She cried as he pulled her along.
