Description

Hector Dorothy

Image

Name: Hector Dorothy
Alias(s): Dr. Theodore Bastian, Sherrif Robert Brouns
Age: 24
Height: 5 ft 6 in
Weight: 150 lbs
Physical Appearance: The picture below explains his basic physical apearacnce but as for what the picture doesn't show he has scars all over his left arm. He wears these scars proudly as each one is gained from a successful hunt. You could say that his other arm is missing as it was amputated during his first experience with hunters and in it's place is a prostetic arm.

Image

likes: Hector is the kind of person that would do something just because you dared him too. He delights in all things dangerous and challenging.
Dislikes: He has no problem working in a group but he dislikes orders that he deems to safe. He also dislikes when people try to rationalize things especially his line of work.
Fears: No majorly obvious ones but he is slightly afraid of werewolves because it was a werewolf that took his arm.
Personality: Hector's entire personality was created to be the opposite of what his life started out as; A shy, obediant pushover. Hector can't be described as brave as much careless. This is because it's not bravery that drives his most dangerous antics but just his lust for excitement causing him to ignore the danger not embrace it. He uses sarcasm as a second language because it defies the blind obidience he was raised with. He's very sure of himself putting himself out in the open when most hunters might hide. He trusts himself to be able to take on the supernatual in any situation therefor sees no fault in putting himself in the line of fire. He makes himself noticeable as it sometimes draws monsters to him easing the strain of the hunt but mostly so he can make entertain himself.

Image

Family: His father was a Hunter and his mom was merely his sidekick, often staying behind to care for Hector when he was young.
Brief History: Hector hates to recall that his life started as the cautious and shy child of an overprotective mother. He didn't realize anything was wrong until he saw some hunters eliminate a werewolf that was attacking his mom. When he tried to protect her the wolf took off his arm and yet he had never felt more alive. Then he started doing crazy stunts and things with the sole purpose of recreating the excitement of that moment. It wasn't enough so as soon as he was old enough he found a way to join the Hunters. Armed with a Crossbow and the Katana of his father he goes around the country hunting monsters. He disguises each hunt by doing an outrageous stunt in every town he visits. However to him the stunt is just the opening act.
Anything else?: He is a paintball fanatic thinking it keeps him on his game. He specializes in hunting werewolves but has no problem hunting other things.

So begins...

Hector kept his breathing easy and his eyes trained on the ground. He tapped his fingers uneasily over the trigger of his crossbow. This plan was risky but if it worked now he might be able to equip it in the field. Thinking of the plan he decided to remind himself why he needed a plan in the first place. He had heard tale of a werewolf den near here but they were settled inside a cave with only one entrance. He tossed his custom paintball crossbow in his hands making sure there was a bullet ready to be fired when the time came. "Where is he," Hector muttered impatiently checking his watch. "A werewolf would have been here by now." He knew that there was no point to this test if he didn't hold it to the standard of the average hunt. He calmed himself by thinking that his runner wasn't a hunter and he was being chased by humans not werewolves.

His ears pricked as he heard the sound of something coming through the the bushes to his right. Hector growled as he re-positioned his crossbow to face the bushes. He told the boy to come in through the front. He pushed aside this thought as the boy broke through the bushes tailed by every person on the enemy team. Most of them seemed to have expended most of their ammo and where just trying to keep the boy from running. Perfect he purred as he took his shot hitting every enemy who still had ammunition. The remaining people looked around trying to figure out where the shots had come from while the hit walked away still in shock. Hector slid down from the tree and pulled out his sword coated in paint. Upon seeing the enemy pulled out the paint soaked knifes he had given them and Hector's partner rushed to his side taking Hector's crossbow in hand. Hector rushed forward and with a combination of dodges and swings taking out all but one of the enemy. As he prepared to chop down on his neck he felt a paintball hit him in his shoulder. He turned around in frustration glaring at the guilty teammate meanwhile feeling the enemies knife hit him in the back. Hector kept his intense glare on his teammate as the enemy finished him off too.

Hector walked away from the cheering enemy towards the place he had parked his motorcycle. He ignored his partner as he pestered him to give him the money he had promised him if he did what he said in the match. The brat jumped in front of Hector's bike as hector started it to drive away. "You said you would pay me if I did what you said." demanded the teen as he tried to make himself intimidating. Hector revved the bike and the teen jumped out the way in surprise. "But you see you didn't do what I said unless I told you to shoot me right before i finished." He started to drive off when he realized how heartless that was. With a sigh he pulled out his wallet and dropped 5$ onto the ground before driving away.He should really thank the kid. Despite his blunder he had proven That hector's plan could work. "But the main part of the plan is the bait." he said with a smile. He checked his Gps and then made his way to O'Hara Tavern.

Liam sighed as his sister yelled at him, she didn't understand why he did what he did. It was to protect his family, his sister and all they stood for. He didn't look at the girl who spoke to Cassie straight away, no he knew that if he did his sister would yell at him for hitting on the woman, but then again he did sort of deserve the reputation.

When he heard " And this is my dick of a brother Liam" Liam looked up at the woman, Hera, he remineded himself. " I'm not really that bad.." he says holding his hand out for the woman to shake. She wasn't bad looking, but he did have lines he wouldn't cross, and one of them included somone who worked at his family bar. " I just tend to live on the more wild side of the world that us hunters live in." he smirked and let his natural southern charm flow.

Toril Holtz

Pulling in to the O'hara tavern's parking lot Toril shut off her car and sat in the front seat just breathing. Some days like this one, her back made it so difficult to breath or move she just waned to curl up and cry. Not that she would ever let herself do that, not while she was around other hunters that already treated her like she was a cripple. She made sure to rise to every challenge or trial they had for her, it wasn't a matter of pride. Toril couldn't fulfill her destiny if she just laid around and had others do things for her. It wasn't in her, she was a hunter in blood and spirit.

Glancing up she noticed a car pull in to the tavern parking lot, she instantly regonized the car as the one owend by Hector, another injured hunter that did the job for the rush. Getting out of her car Toril smiled at him, " So if you're back in town that means you came up with a new stunt. Care to share?" she liked Hector, and the fact that he didn't let his injuries get in the way made her like him even more.

Hector looked up as Toril addressed him taking in her blonde hair flowing over her shoulders. He cursed himself under his breath for forgetting to plan a stunt. It was his trademark entrance into a town and he had forgotten about in thinking about the many variables in his plan. However he couldn't disappoint his adoring fans he thought turning his head to Toril as she continued towards his car. He wagged a finger at her following it with a series of tisks. "I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise." he said returning her smile. He pulled himself up out of his car and reached for the sword that sat in the backseat. He hesitated before finally picking it up and strapping it around his waist deeming that he couldn't be too careful. He withdrew the sword from it's sheath and ran his fingers along the blade, metallic fingers tracing the silver grooves etched into he steel.
Noticing Toril still watching he returned it to it's sheath swiftly before making his way to the door. Holding it open he gave an exaggerated bow gesturing inside. "Your destination awaits." he said feigning a overly elegant voice with a smile.

Toril's smile grew as she walked through the door Hector held open, " Why thank you," she says copying his voice. "but your number one fan wants to know..." she says glancing back at him. She knew that Hector was attractive to every woman before his injuries, and he still was with them. But to Toril, they made him even more attractive. Not the injuries themselves, but the strength and bravery they represented. That above all else was what she respected and hoped somone would see in her. Walking through the door she stumbled a little, her back getting it's revenge for sleeping in her car.

" Shit.." She says for the second time that day, as she grabs a nearby table for balance. Biting her lip she tries to hide the amount of pain she was in from Hector. She didn't want him to look down on her like the other hunters did. But she couldn't hold back the small whimpers as she tried to hold back tears. Don't do this.. she thought bitterly Don't let them see you like this..

Hector's smile wavered momentarily before coming back in full force. He would have to do some quick improvising if he didn't want to disappoint her. Looking up he saw some Phone lines and the beginning of an idea sprung into his head. It was risky but then it wouldn't be a stunt if there was no danger. he retired from his thoughts so he could give her the beginning of his idea when she stumbled through the doorway. He moved forward to help her but stopped knowing she would bite his head off if he did. He had heard enough tales from around the tavern to know that the scars on her back still bothered her. If it was anyone else he might have been mad that she tried to hide her scars. He liked Toril and in the very least he considered her more interesting than any other girls he had met.
He sat down at the table she leaned against and looked at her letting her know that he didn't see her any differently. On the bright side now he didn't have to explain the stunt while it was still in development. He turned away from her as watching started to make his shoulder hurt. He turned to her his tone becoming more thoughtful. "Pain is temporary. It may last a minute or an hour, or a day, or a year but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place." He said trying to be comforting. He didn't comfort anyone very often believing strongly in the concept of Karma. "I'll give you a hint, it involves heights." he said back to his joking self.

Toril saw Hector come and sit at the table that she was balancing on, At least he didn't mind being around her when she was like this. Toril was just about to quit caring and cry when Hector said thoughtfully "Pain is temporary. It may last a minute or an hour, or a day, or a year but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place." That was the perfect thing for him to say in that moment, it gave her a new strength to power through the pain. She stopped the trears and glanced up at him, if she could make it to the chair next to him she would be okay.

Taking a deep breath she started walking towards the chair that was only a few feet away from her. " I'll give you a hint, it involves heights." he joked as she sat down. " Oh really? Well let me know if I can help with anything." she says knowing that she could try and keep him safe. Hector dying in a stunt was the last thing she needed right then, she didn't want to bury another dear friend. Especially because she wasn't entirely sure that her feelings for him were just those you would have for a friend..

He smiled keeping his nerves hidden. If Hector was an honest man he might have asked her to help put the rest of the stunt together but Hector wasn't an honest man. "Just spreading the word will suffice." he said speaking with his usual confidence. A voice inside told him that he would only make the problem bigger if he spread the word but Hector quenched that voice with his own. "So who might you be?" he said turning towards the O'haras. There was a women with them that he didn't recognize and he didn't like not knowing things.
While awaiting his answer he looked her over. Her clothes weren't necessarily clean and he guessed she had probably just gotten off a hunt but didn't have the time to tidy up before going into public. He didn't like people who spent too much time on their appearance but he still felt that her looks pushed that belief. Her brown hair was done back in a ponytail but he could still see that it was just about as well put together as her clothes. Had he not known any better he would have thought she'd just been pulled from a dumpster. He could feel his smile slipping into a frown but it stopped itself when he noticed her eyes. She had the most interesting eyes he had ever seen with the swirl of grays blues and greens. He found that he couldn't take his eyes away from them but forced himself to knowing it would be awkward to just mindlessly stare into the stranger's eyes. He found himself avoiding eye contact and threw his attention to the O'haras. Liam had a cut on his head and Cassie was mad about it though she did a good job with her fake smile. Hector pulled so many fake smiles himself that it wasn't hard to notice another.

Cassandra O'Hara

Hearing the door open, Cassie's head shot up, a smile appearing on her face as Hector and Toril walked into the building, she had to admit it was good to see them again and a wave of relief washed over heras it had been a few months since she had last seen them; it was in her nature to worry about friends. "Good to see you two" she said softly with a small nod, moving behind the bar and placed two cold beers in front of them.

Leaning on her elbows on the long mahogany bar, Cassie smiled as she watched the people around her, she considered ever one of her regulars family and when they were all together she felt complete, although there were also those times when some would never return...those moments almost killed her. They had lost many people over the years but death was just one of those things you learnt to deal with at an early age when you grew up in the hunter lifestyle, it was a sad fact but a fact at that. Releasing a small smile, Cassie's smile faltered slightly as she thought about those who she hadn't seen in while and as a result was worried sick about, the Lucas brothers sprung to mind. It had been a while since she had last heard from Bill and Jeremy, apart from the texts and phone calls from Jeremy, which made her love the boy more, aside from that she hadn't heard much from her two favourite men (besides her brother.) The blonde couldn't deny how much she missed them both, Jeremy was like a younger brother to her, someone she was fiercely protective over, however with Bill they use to have something, something that made her believe  a happy ending could happen, the one main regret in life was letting him go.

Sighing, Cassie brought her own beer to her lips, technically she shouldn't drink whilst working but she was the boss, she could do whatever the fuck she wanted. Her attention soon turned towards Hector who seemed to be intoxicated with her new bar maid, rolling her eyes at them both she decided to play match maker, those two looked like they could do with a little fun"Hector, this is Hera, my new barmaid" she spoke mischievously, hiding her smirk behind the beer bottle.

 "A little help?"

The familiar voice, caused Cassie's head to shoot up as she swallowed the lump in her throat, it was Bill, her heartbeat quickened as she looked at him 'damn him for still being so freakin handsome' she cursed silently, before noticing an injured Jeremy being supported by his brother. "Jer" she gasped, worry filling her senses "What happened?" Cassie asked sternly, her voice carrying louder than she had originally hoped.

Hector Dorothy

Hector just nodded at he caught her name ignoring Cassie's mischievous tone. She thought that Hector was interested from a bachelor standpoint and that was not the case. Hector was interested in Hera as you might be interested in a book because of it has a cool cover. Hector kept fine lines between different kinds of interest because otherwise it caused unnecessary complications. For example when he once told a women at a bar sh interested him because he couldn't place her accent, he ended up punched in the face because she thought he was interested sexually. From the corner of his eye he glimpsed Toril who had sat down near him. He was unsure what category of interest he placed her in and that interested him even more.
Hector looked to the door as Bill and Jeremy came through, Jeremy leaning heavily against Bill. He wasn't oblivious to Cassie's sudden nervousness as she noticed Bill and he stopped his smile from increasing. He would call her out on that later as a little revenge for her trying to play matchmaker.
Hector watched as everyone around him got to work helping injured hunters. As he thought before comfort was not his expertise. The skills used for hunting the supernatural didn't really apply in the business of making people feel better. When he saw Bill leaving to get the dog from the car he saw his chance to escape.
"I'll help you with that." he said hopping out of his seat to leave after bill. Personally he hated dogs, too much like wolves, but he needed to get away from Hera's captivating eyes.

Bill Lucas

"Thanks," Bill said as he was followed out to his car. "Damn dog," he mumbled, seeing the Beagle clawing at his passenger side window; he could hear her barking as well. He jogged to the car. "If you've scratched my seats then I'm getting my brother a new dog!" He pulled the door open and the dog jumped at him, attacking his face with her tongue. "I promise," he said to the dog, trying not to laugh as he pushed her off, "He's going to be okay." She looked at him with an all too smart tilt of her head, like she knew what he was saying, before she noticed the stranger. "That's Hector," he said. "Her name is Cherry. She's harmless, just protective."

Jeremy Lucas

Jeremy was a little nervous with a stranger helping him, but she was nice and he was glad for the help. Then, of course, Cassie's presence made it all okay. He smiled at her. "Save some of that ass kicking for my brother; he always gets mad when I make him worry." He really wished his brother wasn't so stupid because Cassie was amazing. "Sorry about this," he said to the ones helping him.

Hector Dorothy

Hector just nodded his head as Bill talked to the dog. When Hector came outside with Bill he really didn't expect to actually be any help, at most he would open the door when they went back inside. He could take some consolation in the fact it was a small dog unlike a golden retriever or anything like that. Even with this considered a dog was a dog and nothing more. Why people chose to defy the dogs wild nature and make them pets was beyond him. He wasn't going to give Bill the impression that he was scared of dogs though so he walked towards the car. He couldn't keep himself from jumping as the dog jumped from the car and licked Bill's face. Pull yourself together. You've faced vampires without flinching this dog is nothing. he thought instantly composing himself. He pulled his hand from the handle of his sword and walked forward to pat the dog on the head. He had touched the dog with his prosthetic hand so he understood when the dog started sniffing at it in confusion. He pulled away when the dog felt inclined to taste his hand.
He was wiping his hand on his jacket when he saw Cassie come outside. She offered a small wave in their direction but it wasn't hard to figure out that it wasn't directed at him in particular. "Know what Bill i think i'll take rain check." he said giving bill a pat on the back before walking towards Cassie. In all the fuss over the injured he hadn't actually said hello yet. "So what have you been up to?" He asked falling in step beside her. He thought he already knew the answer to this question but it was a good conversation starter. She had probably been attending the bar while all the other hunters went on hunts. When he thought about it he couldn't remember the last time they had gone on a hunt together. Maybe he should ask her if she wanted to take part in his next hunt. He would have asked then but with Liam injured as he was it probably wasn't the best time.

Jeremy Lucas

Jeremy offered a smile to the woman but winced when she began to wrap him up. "I'm Jeremy," he grimaced. He tried to take soothing breaths but they hurt too. "I promise I'm not usually like this," he tried to joke. He was kind of embarrassed to have let a simple spirit get the best of him. And he wasn't a fan of his brother treating him like a kid; it was only okay when Cassie did it. She wasn't even treating him like a kid really, more like a younger brother. Bill on the other hand treated him like a baby brother- there is a difference.

Jeremy turned a grin towards Liam. "You look like shit," he said. The older O'Hara looked like he had gone through Hell and back.

Bill Lucas

Bill chuckled as the dog invaded Hector's bubble; her curiosity was cute if not a little awkward. He was hyper-aware of when the bar opened and Cassie walked out. Okay. Seriously, he needed to do something about this. He watched as Hector joined her and they walked towards the house... A house he had been in a few times... A house he wouldn't mind going in again...

He wasn't the kind of guy that thought like this, dammit! It was a lot easier when there were no emotions at all. Hell, life was easier without emotions, but sadly that was impossible. He was cursed to feel the guilt of not saving someone in time, or the pain of watching his brother have nightmares when he actually got any sleep at all. He felt angry whenever he thought of what happened to his parents and felt sad when he thought of his little brother growing up in all types of hellish homes. And now, to put the cherry on the cake, he was stuck with an unbearable ache in his chest for a woman that was right in front of him, but he thought he could never have her. The hunter lifestyle wasn't meant for relationships or gods-forbid families. He wouldn't want to put his kids through this shit and he certainly as hell wouldn't risk dying and having them put in foster care. The system had already been cruel enough to his brother.

He leaned against the hood of his car, tilting his head back to look up at the sky.

He had convinced himself that one-night stands were the best he was ever gonna get on the job, a job that he wouldn't quit for all of the world. He loved saving people and ridding the world of darkness, despite the almost nonexistent income and constant need of stitches. One-night stands were perfectly fine with him... Then came Cassie. He couldn't have spent just one night with her even if he had wanted to. She was a fierce, strong, caring, and witty woman all wrapped up in a beautiful package that never failed to get his blood pumping faster. If he ever had to imagine the perfect woman, it would be her.

With her, suddenly he wanted more than a night or two. He wanted to settle down. He wanted a family. He wanted everything that his job, her job for that matter, would not allow. Being with her had been a mistake for his brain, but there was no way in Hell that he would ever convince his heart that being with her had been anything but right. Going separate ways with her had been like parting with half of his body.

He sighed and walked to the doors of the bar, Cherry following him excitedly. "Go check on him," he said, opening the door enough for her to get in. He didn't follow. He let the door close and went back to his car. He pulled out his phone and shot his brother a text. Going for drive. Be back in a bit.

Nothing cleared his head like a drive in his car. He wouldn't be gone long, just long enough to shake off the gooey romantic turmoil that was distracting him.

"Experiencing the 3-D's so yeah pretty much same old." he said with a shrug as he entered the door. The 3-D's stood for Death, Danger and Damage so basically everything that described Hector's life. He found himself trying to remember why he had come over here. Besides saying hello he really hadn't thought of what he was going to say. He heard the sound of Bill's car pull away and he figured now was as good as ever for his revenge. "So Bill seems pretty worried about Jeremy." he said casually as he followed her through the house. This was a pretty obvious but he accomplished his task of bringing Bill into the conversation. He watched for her reaction already feigning innocence.
He hoped she didn't take it the wrong way as , Bill had he knew he wouldn't understand the bond between siblings. Cassie has Liam, Bill had Jeremy but hector had no one but himself. It wasn't that he had a problem with that though it was just that he wouldn't want someone worrying over him like that. He would give them a heart attack with all of his antics and there was enough death in the business already.

Cassie chuckled slightly as she looked through her cupboards for the aspirin "Hector, darlin I think you you need to take a vacation" she commented and it was true, she can't remember the last time her friend had just let go and had fun for once "In fact, I aint letting you leave this place for at least a week" Cassie smirked knowing that it was something Hector could never do, that man seemed to live for danger, she doubted he could function without it. 'Ah-ha there you are' the blonde muttered to herself as she reached for the bottle of pills.

"So Bill seems pretty worried about Jeremy." Came Hector's tactful way of dropping Bill's name into conversation, turning on her heel, Cassie raised an eyebrow as she looked at him pointedly "He is" she stated with a small nod "But why do I get the feeling that's not why you brought him up?" the blonde enquired, already knowing the answer to her question, but decided to give him a chance to answer.

Hector just shrugged when she said he needed a vacation. He had taken vacations before doing things like bungy jumping and skydiving but even extreme sports like that didn't compare to the thrill of the hunt. Besides if he didn't live off the thrill as he did he ran the risk of becoming the shy kid from his youth again. He shivered at that distant memory and knew that he could never let that happen. It was stupid to think that a week's vacation would do that to him but he wasn't going to take that risk. He didn't think that he could take a vacation if he wanted anyway. He had made a name for himself among werewolves and every now and then the hunt went the wrong way. A werewolf would hunt him down and that never turned out pretty for anyone. Once a female werewolf had managed to get him into bed with her to strike and to put it simply he walked away with some unwanted scars. If he could remember he believed that wolves referred to him as argentum gladius secundo. It translated to silver sword the second but hector just shortened it into ags. Silver sword the first was of course hector's father and along with passing down his sword he passed his title. "I could say the same thing for you." he retorted aiming to bring his focus back to the conversation.
It was meant as a retort but the truth it held was not lost. Try as he might he couldn't remember the last time Cassie had spent a week from the bar. She cared for the bar just as she might a family member. You could say that she was as addicted to the bar as Hector was to danger.
"But why do I get the feeling that's not why you brought him up?" she said fixing him with accusing eyes. "What alterior motive could I possibly have?" he said bringing his hands up in an attempt to feign innocence. "It's not as if there's a reason you would be particularly interested in Bill." he finished shooting his own accusing glare under a raised eyebrow. Hector considered himself very observant and he took that in mind as he watched for her reaction.

Cassandra O'Hara

"I could say the same thing for you." Cassie couldn't help but laugh at that statement "touche" she agreed with a small smile, he was right she seemed a little bit of a hypocrite, she couldn't even remember the last time she had even taken a day off from the bar, however in all fairness, in her eyes no one was capable of looking after her bar whilst she was away, not even her brother, nope Liam would probably send her into bankrupsy by giving all her alcohol away for free to the pretty girls in a feeble attempt of getting them into bed. Shaking her head, she surprised herself at acknowledging the fact that she would trust no one with her bar, even her kin or closest friends, she reasoned it was similar to Bill's attachment to his car.

"What alterior motive could I possibly have?" Rolling her eyes, the blonde shook her head "you know if you wanted to know if I was sleeping with him, all you had to do was ask" she retorted as they left the house to walk back over to the bar, stopping momentarily to cast a glance over her shoulder at Hector "Which the answer to is no, that stopped a long time ago" she stated regrettably, her memory becoming fuzzy as to why they actually did call things off, maybe things were just too serious between them both? Relationships didn't seem to last very long in their lifestyle, although that didn't stop her missing him or loving him, it was just probably best to do it from afar.

Walking back into the bar, followed by Hector, she patted Beaus head in passing and walked over to Jeremy, offering him two pain killers "Take these" she ordered softly, pouring him a glass of water "You'll be all fine in no time" she smiled before turning to Cherry, scratching behind the beagles ear "hey there baby" she cooed to the dog.

Feeling her phone buzz in her pocket, Cassie grabbed it, noticing a text from Bill her brow furrowed, he never text her "your brother had just sent me a text Jer" she commented, confusion lacing her face as the phone loaded the message, gasping as a picture of Bill all battered and bloodied filled her screen "Jeremy we have a problem" she spoke worry lacing her voice.

Hector Dorothy

Hector stayed silent for once after Cassie gave her response. That certainly wasn't the answer I was expecting he thought reentering the bar. He had thought it was potential relationship like what she proposed for him and Hera, not the remnants of a past one. That completely changed things and for a moment he regretted bringing it up. It wasn't revenge anymore now it was.....a discovery he thought regret vanishing in an instant. This was a whole period in the life of his fellow hunters he knew nothing about. But he planned to he thought letting out a mischievous grin.
He was about to delve deeper into her past relationship when she stopped to look at her phone. Her face darkened in an instant and he knew it wasn't the right time. A moment later Jeremy fished out his phone and his face darkened to the same level of Cassie's if not worse. He heard Amelia ask what happened but took no notice. If both Cassie and Jeremy were devastated by a text at the same time then there was only one possible explanation. "Something has happened to Bill." he answered knowing Cassie and Jeremy were too distracted to answer Amelia's question. Hector had adopted his rare serious face because he knew this situation called for it. The room was silent as everyone grasped the situation.
Hector was a man of action and he had spent enough time worrying about Bill and was ready to do something. "So who's up for a rescue mission?" he asked around to the assembled hunters. He was genuinly asking this question because he wasn't sure of anyones answer. Jeremy and Liam may be too beat up to go but it was Jeremy's brother and Hector doubted he could keep him from coming if he wanted too. Cassie may be too emotional to come and he didn't know anyone else well enough to make a prediction. One thing was for sure, if this thing could get Bill then he couldn't handle him alone.

Toril watched all of the hunters around her grow very worried at the sight of a text message, and from who recived the message she figured that it had to do with Bill. She knew that there would have to be a rescue mission and was about to sugest that they figure out who was going when Hector said " So who's up for a rescue mission?" Liam stood up shakily, " I'm in." he knew if he didn't try and go Bill would die and then Cassie might acctually break.

" No way in hell." Toril says standing up. " You're dead on your feet, stay here and protect the bar." she walked over to Hector, " I'm in," she says with a smile. She could take on anything so long as the bar stayed open, it was like her home.

Cassie froze in place, slamming her phone down onto the bar, she couldn't bear to look at that picture anymore, running her hand through her blonde curls she released a shaky breath "Bill's been taken Amy" she sighed gnawing on her bottom lip as she turned towards her friend at a loss of what to do. Her mind warped with worry although desperately trying to keep that at bay if she hoped of being any use on the rescue mission "I'm going too" she stated firmly, not leaving any room for discussion or protests, knowing that her brother would probably have one.

Turning to her brother and Jeremy she smiled weakly "you two stay here and look after things" she stated resting her hand on Jeremy's arm in comfort "we'll get him back I promise" she spoke trying to sound confident, unable to think about what would happen if they didn't.

Grabbing her jacket and car keys "He said he was going for a drive right, so there are a number of routes he could have taken, I'll take the one leading to the highway, if we have no luck in an hour, we come back here and think of something else, all right?" And with that she left the bar hurrying over to her Jeep and tore out of the car park.

---

Cassie glanced at the clock on her dashboard, she had been out for nearly an hour without any sign of Bill. Running a hand over her tired face she was about to turn around, when she noticed a car parked up ahead, narrowing her eyes she gasped upon seeing it was Bill's beloved car, pulling up in front of the car, Cassie cut the engine, grabbed a flashlight before jumping out, cautiously approaching the car. "Bill" she called out, shining her light through the car windows, her next surprise came whens she found the car door was unlocked, that was not a good sign, next to Jeremy, this car was one of the most important things in his life, there was no way the hunter would leave it unlocked. Pulling her phone out Cassie quickly typed a text message to Hector, Toril and Amy, which read:

Found Bill's car, out by route 6, 4 miles down. Hurry.

-Cas

Putting the phone back into her pocket, her flashlight started to flicker, immediately tensing up, Cassie slowly reached into her pocket and pulled out a small flask, turning around she came face to face with a man, jumping slightly "Sorry to scare you ma'am" the man smiled.

Cassie nodded offering a small smile "It's all right" she stated "Say this is my friends car, you've not seen him around have you?"

The man laughed, an evil smile tugging at his lips "Cassie, you got my picture?" he asked, his smirk deepening as Cassie’s breath hitched in her throat, her heartbeat quickening as his eyes flashing black, accompanying his menacing expression.

“What have you done with him?” Cassie asked through gritted teeth, taking a step back as he took one forward whilst discreetly unscrewing the top of the flask.

Reaching out the man brushed his fingers through her curls with a sinister smile “That doesn’t really matter at this moment” he laughed. Cassie had enough at that point, shoving him away from her, then threw the contents of the flask in his face, which made him recoil as his face burned “bitch” he screamed out. Cassie took that opportunity to run to her car, unfortunately, the man was behind her in an instant, grabbing a fistful of her hair, he slammed her head against the metal frame of the car, with a force that knocked her out instantly.
“You shouldn’t have done that” The demon muttered, picking the blonde up.

Hector nodded as Toril and Cassie said they would go. Even though he had proposed the rescue mission he didn't want to lead it. All of the responsibilities of being a leader drowned out the initial rush he got from a hunt and if he wasn't hunting for the rush of it he would stop without hesitation. Letting go of the situation he thought back to what his life might be like if he hadn't discovered Hunters and their fight against the supernatural. Well i'd have two arms he thought giving a grim chuckle. Non-intentionally he looked down at his prosthetic limb hanging limply by his side. Surprisingly enough he had been able to get a pretty good model off of a Hunter's salary. The inner workings were safely protected under the clear layer of durable plastic with had helped in a hunt on more than one occasion. To help even more this fake limb felt no pain so he could sometimes use it as a shield if he didn't want his other arm to get scarred more than once. If he could help it he wouldn't cut his good arm more than once. The first cut was a souveneir but the second was damage.

He left his thoughts when he saw his Cassie leaving the bar in a hurry. Was she really planning on going alone he wondered pushing himself towards the door slightly. It had been a long time since Cassie had gone out on a hunt and if this beast could hurt bill, then Hector couldn't help but be a bit worried for her. He stopped himself giving up the effort of stopping her. It's probably best she do this alone he thought turning his back to the door. "This is important information needed for a rescue." He said swiping Jeremy's phone from his hands using the accent of the stereotypical police officer. Though the other reason was just as true he wouldn't put Jeremy through the torture of seeing his brother in pain. Sitting down at his previous seat he opened the message that Jeremy had failed to open. He didn't bother to hide his surprise upon seeing Bill's beat up face. There was only one wound but it was a nasty one. And that was some time ago he thought checking the time the message was sent. He restrained himself from thinking of all the things that could have happened in that time by setting about investigating the image. The camera's phone sucked but he could still get information from it. The wound was too thin to be from a creature's claws so that eliminated werewolves along with other clawed creatures. So my expertise wouldn't be needed today he thought continuing to study the image. Of all his knowledge there was only one blade that could make a cut that thin and deep. This was a blade forged in Hellfire and where there was a Hellfire blade there was usually a Demon wielding it.

Looking up he noticed a few things. First of all Amelia was gone but she usually worked alone anyway. But how she planned to get to the highway without a car he didn't know. Next he had a new text on his phone from Cassie. He had overlooked the vibration while he inspected the message but he fished his phone from his pocket and checked it. Cassie had found bill's car apparently and if he didn't know better he would have assumed that the Demon was close by. Getting up from his seat he turned to Toril who had been silent since saying she would come. "We have a location. Lets go." he said before reaching for the car keys he had left on the table. His hand touched empty space and he looked down realizing how Amelia had got away. She stole my car he thought unable to stifle a small laugh. "You know what, you can drive." he said turning back to Toril.

"We have a location. Lets go." Hector said before Toril got a chance to check her own phone. She smirked as he searched for his car keys, Amelia seemed to have taken them. Toril was already heading out to her car, there was a good reason she kept her car keys close to her heart, you just couldn't trust hunters. "You know what, you can drive." Hector said turning back to face her. " Oh really?" She says in a loking tone as she pulls her keys out of her bra. " The great and powerful Hector is allowing me to drive? It must be my lucky day." she laughed a little and got in the drivers seat of her car. " I'm already a head of you."

"Yes you should be honored." he said playing along as he slid into the car next to her. He had to admit he liked toril much more than he liked most of the other hunters. He had always told himself it takes a strong person to face danger and an even stronger one to laugh in the face of danger. That homemade saying kept him going through most hard times whether it be a hunt or his body reminding him of his imperfections. Not that he considered anyone of his scars imperfections. To him each one gave a testimony to things he had once endured. They were no more scars than a tattoo might be.

Hector would have loved to keep sitting in the car laughing with toril (more than he would admit) but it would have to wait for another time. Right now he had to set his mind to rescuing bill and probably Cassie by this point. He only assumed Cassie was in danger because she hadn't texted him to tell them what she found in bills car and she wasn't the type to keep people worrying. If you asked him Cassie and Amelia were both idiots for going in alone without any kind of plan. Believe me Hector had done plenty of rash things in his day but he was an expert at being rash so it was okay. But even with Hector there was a difference between recklessness and stupidity. Bill had been owned when he took this demon one on one so what made them think they could succeed where they failed? No there was strength in numbers even if that number was two he thought to himself while dialing Cassie's number into his phone. This was his way of knowing if Cassie was okay or not so he really hoped she picked up.
While he waited he tried to devise some kind of battle plan. Toril didn't seem to have any weapons on her so he figured his best route would be to distract the demon while she freed his prisoners. It would have been better if Amelia hadn't stolen his car. Then he could just take out the demon with his crossbow. He prayed to whatever force governing this messed up planet that Amelia had grabbed his crossbow from the backseat. Lives may depend on it he said after hearing no response from Cassie's phone.

Once the man stood over her, Amelia kicked him in the side and into the car bonnet. She reached into her bag and pulled out a silver stake, and stabbed him through the back. She ran over to Cassie's car and looked through the windows, hoping Cassie and Bill was in the car, but no one was. She looked back and the demon ran at her, a horrid scream emitting from Amelia's mouth. She kicked him and cried for Bill, Cassie and Hector. "Please help me!" She screamed louder, hoping for someone to hear.

Hector Dorothy

Hector didn't need to hear Amelia's plea to know that action had to be taken. When the scene finally came into sight Hector's masterful eyes drained it of information. Cassie lay unconscious on the ground while Amelia loomed over her shaking her to awake. Meanwhile Amelia must had done something to piss the demon off because the Demon stood enraged before charging towards the defenseless hunters. well it was at least who hector thought was the demon because it was impossible to be sure from this distance. Bill was out of sight and probably too beat up to do anything except fight off the pain. Overall the situation seemed pretty grim and Hector knew he had only moments if he didn't want Cassie and Amelia to be trampled by the demon. "What would they do without us?" he asked toril sarcastically before setting to work on his plan.

He eyed his car, Toril's speedometer, the Demon and then Amelia on the ground and with that his plan was together. It was risky but that was how Hector liked his plans. It kept the Hunt interesting when you knew anything could go wrong. "Speed up." He commanded toril meanwhile undoing his seat belt. Either Toril was too worried to defy him or she knew what he was trying to do but she complied and sped the car up. Tentatively he stood up in his seat hand on the headrest for balance. I only have one shot at this he thought glaring at his landing zone. Suddenly he felt the reason why he hunted. The incomparable danger, the thrill of uncertainty were all thing you can't get anywhere else. "I'll handle the demon you just get the others out of here." he said calmly not looking at Toril. Now or never he thought flinging himself from Toril's car.

The landing didn't go according to plan but it met the same purpose. Instead of landing in front of the Demon as he had wanted he had crashed into it knocking them both to the ground. The demon had been running pretty fast and the car even faster so when their two momentum's collided it left both of them stunned on the ground. Hector, who had been more or less expecting the impact, reacted first but gave up the first blow to tell Amelia to get his crossbow from his car. The demon reacted only a moment after swiftly drawing his knife and cutting Hector's prosthetic arm. The plastic of the arm was tough but here weren't many things that can withstand a hellfire forged blade. The blade cut through the arm leaving a thin but noticeable cut in it's shell.

Hector's attention was snapped back to his fight with the demon as his arm was cut. After a few moments in the battle Hector was on the defensive blocking every blow best he could. Every now and then he would take a scratch that hurt just as much as rumors said. he had to stifle a scream as one hit his real arm. This arm had already taken many cuts from the demon's knife as well as the original scars so it really was running out of power. He felt himself relying on the painlessness of the prosthetic limb more and more. His sword was useless at his side as the motion to reach it would allow another not needed blow from the demon. He knew he would get slaughtered if he didn't though so after taking a deep breath he thrust his bleeding hand down to the swords handle. Meanwhile he heard a loud crack emanating from his other arm.

Amelia watched in shock as Hector flung from the car and into the Demon. Amelia immediately did as she was told, running as fast as her legs could take her, she pulled the car door open and yanked the crossbow, but the strap was caught around something. Amelia looked up to see Hector and the creature in a fight. She started to panic and pulled at the crossbow harder. She eventually got it freed but she just looked at it and then back to Hector. "What if I miss?" She asked herself out loud and looked around for Toril, hoping she would be able to know what to do.

Amelia looked over at Bill's empty car and then to Cassie's and she froze, Where are they? What happened to them? She readied her aim and pointed to the Demon. She froze when she saw Hector's arm crack. "Oh god." She set the crossbow down. I have to help him, this way is probably better. She ran at the demon and jumped onto his back, placing her hand on his face and pulled him away from Hector.
