Hector nodded as Toril and Cassie said they would go. Even though he had proposed the rescue mission he didn't want to lead it. All of the responsibilities of being a leader drowned out the initial rush he got from a hunt and if he wasn't hunting for the rush of it he would stop without hesitation. Letting go of the situation he thought back to what his life might be like if he hadn't discovered Hunters and their fight against the supernatural.
Well i'd have two arms he thought giving a grim chuckle. Non-intentionally he looked down at his
prosthetic limb hanging limply by his side. Surprisingly enough he had been able to get a pretty good model off of a Hunter's salary. The inner workings were safely protected under the clear layer of durable plastic with had helped in a hunt on more than one occasion. To help even more this fake limb felt no pain so he could sometimes use it as a shield if he didn't want his other arm to get scarred more than once. If he could help it he wouldn't cut his good arm more than once. The first cut was a souveneir but the second was damage.
He left his thoughts when he saw his Cassie leaving the bar in a hurry.
Was she really planning on going alone he wondered pushing himself towards the door slightly. It had been a long time since Cassie had gone out on a hunt and if this beast could hurt bill, then Hector couldn't help but be a bit worried for her. He stopped himself giving up the effort of stopping her.
It's probably best she do this alone he thought turning his back to the door. "This is important information needed for a rescue." He said swiping Jeremy's phone from his hands using the accent of the stereotypical police officer. Though the other reason was just as true he wouldn't put Jeremy through the torture of seeing his brother in pain. Sitting down at his previous seat he opened the message that Jeremy had failed to open. He didn't bother to hide his surprise upon seeing Bill's beat up face. There was only one wound but it was a nasty one.
And that was some time ago he thought checking the time the message was sent. He restrained himself from thinking of all the things that could have happened in that time by setting about investigating the image. The camera's phone sucked but he could still get information from it. The wound was too thin to be from a creature's claws so that eliminated werewolves along with other clawed creatures. So my expertise wouldn't be needed today he thought continuing to study the image. Of all his knowledge there was only one blade that could make a cut that thin and deep. This was a blade forged in Hellfire and where there was a Hellfire blade there was usually a Demon wielding it.
Looking up he noticed a few things. First of all Amelia was gone but she usually worked alone anyway. But how she planned to get to the highway without a car he didn't know. Next he had a new text on his phone from Cassie. He had overlooked the vibration while he inspected the message but he fished his phone from his pocket and checked it. Cassie had found bill's car apparently and if he didn't know better he would have assumed that the Demon was close by. Getting up from his seat he turned to Toril who had been silent since saying she would come. "We have a location. Lets go." he said before reaching for the car keys he had left on the table. His hand touched empty space and he looked down realizing how Amelia had got away.
She stole my car he thought unable to stifle a small laugh. "You know what, you can drive." he said turning back to Toril.
