Physical Description
Ruzik is a tall young lad who carries a trim and rather athletic build that although seemingly active he does not animate himself much, unless it is for something good and extremely rewarding. His hair is short and stylish, baring a rather bright shade of red. His eyes however are rather unique in appearance, being of a light yellow-green mix that he has had since birth. Additionally, he has oddly shaped teeth that have been best described as similar to 'shark teeth'. Most of the time he dresses quite fashionably and smartly, always with glasses, and a times he can come across as slightly feminine. He puts effort into his appearance and likes to impress others.

"Yes, yes. The teeth are real, and yes, they will bite you - and it will hurt. Ok?"

Abilties | Powers
Heart’s Desire | Ruzik has the power to grant whatever 'the heart wants'. This ability is limitless in itself as he can summon forth just about anything within reason – meaning he isn’t going to suddenly summon a whole city right before you, but objects, weapons, information and status effects are all considered reasonable. He is limited to only granting three requests at a time and must allow adequate recovery time in between. Should someone persist in pressuring the demon into granting more requests then there will be notable side-effects as his mind becomes ‘overloaded’. This is affective with both mages and demon and he can use it on himself too!

"What the heart wants, it gets. At least if your nice to me of course ~"
Heightened physicality | Ruzik has advanced speed and strength. He in turn does not feel pain as instantly as others would do when injured and thus he can take on more damage and last longer in fights. The down side to this though, is that eventually the pain does catch up to his senses and hurts twice as bad long after the encounter. Although should an attack prove fatal then he would actually die upon getting hit.
"Sometimes I forget, and only after the fight does it hit me - hard."
Heart Chat | Ruzik has the ability to control a person’s heart and alter their actions and thoughts. This ability stems from his natural gift to sense out hearts, which also allows the demon to ‘hear’ hearts – as if they talk only to him. Through this he is able to ‘whisper’ ideas of what the victim should do, rather than what they were going to do, and thereby altering their thought process. This power lasts for only so long, and it helps if a person is weakened whilst attempting this as it makes the target more vulnerable and persuasive. This ability is affective against mages and demons - though is stronger against demons.
"Quite nifty, eh? If I do say so myself."

||Momoko Sawada||
"."

||Mikari Akigawa||
"I prefer him to the other teachers, he's kinda cool. But I'm wary to trust him yet - I'll bite him again if he tries anything sly."

||Liliane Auringer||
"I don't understand her grudge against me, it's baseless. I've not even laid a finger on her body, unfortunately. But I will ~"

"It's a pity her beauty does not fully disguise her true ugliness. We are very similar, admittedly, but sadly do not see eye to eye."

History
Ruzik doesn't enjoy lingering on the past, and yet to know his tale that is where you'd have to begin. If you did, then you would learn the story of Ruzik, the demon that stole hearts and left broken humans in his wake. A demon that could rip hearts apart, abandoned and truly broken into pieces. That demon was called Ruzik, the accidentally conceived child of an Incubus and a Succubus, who had both mistaken one other for a human one night as they ventured through a lone human town - a night which would eventually lead to the birth of Ruzik. His existence was by mere accident and chance of opportunity, and not long after entering the world his parents left him shortly after and never spoke to the boy ever again.

As a child he was left to wander the world, born with an unsatisfiable lust for hearts and to consume them greedily. Though as a child, and unable to acquire hearts, he was very near the end of his life as it came to be apparent that he needed hearts to survive – simply, he fed off them. Unlike his parents who had always lusted for the affections of the heart, he merely lusted for the heart itself. During his youth he was found by a mage and taken in by the old man, who in time supplied the demon with animal hearts to fend off his hunger. Over the course of the time he lived with the mage Ruzik learned many things about humans; how they dressed, spoke and adapted to many of their ways of living for the sake of keeping a low profile. But this way of life didn’t last long.

Ruzik began acting up, protesting, and sneaking out at night to stalk humans whose hearts he sensed nearby. As he grew older his urge for hearts developed increasingly, to the point that it was only inevitable that he made his first killing. Enraged, the mage threw Ruzik out and abandoned the demon, having nothing else to do with the boy ever again. This action alone would soon lead to the slaughtering of many humans in the maddening endless search that Ruzik would go on for the ‘perfect heart’. He would kill many, consuming their hearts and yet never feeling satisfied.

In time it was only expected that he would turn into his parents, though only with a murderous twist. He would entice people in, rob them of their hearts and then dump them to the side. It was a savage hunger that controlled him, one that would lead him to further trouble, along the lines of The Survival Kit Academy. One night whilst trying to jump a group of mages Ruzik was unaware that it was a trap to capture him, and blindly he walked right into it, and was immediately sent to the academy. That is where the demon finds himself now. But what will he do now that he is surrounded by hearts, mages and demons?

"Well who needs parents and mages anyway I guess."

Other
~ Heart Snatcher ~
Though as a child Ruzik needed hearts to survive, now that he is older, the demon has learned to survive longer whilst consuming fewer hearts and by experimenting through other methods to control his hunger. Especially as he is now at the academy and must find various ways to feed his urge without causing harm to others.

"Apparently because it would cause harm to the student body and I must not endanger anyone."

So begins...

Kou's hands balled into fists, how dare he treat her like that! How dare he call her stupid! Kou was tired of Ruzik's hot and cold act, she was not some sort of pet he could just toy around with when he felt like. Kou was a being with emotions and she was not going to take anyone's crap anymore. "Fine," She said through grit teeth, turning on her heels and sitting in the place she had occupied before. Kou began to plot, she was not going to take this quietly but unlike most demons she would act with grace.

As soon as Ruzik returned she struck, not using physical violence but choosing to do something that she knew would drive him crazy. Would she feel bad for it later? Yes, but right now Kou was blinded by rage and dragging someone else into it was honestly the last thing she wanted to. Regardless the rabbit did it anyways. As soon as he turned to her Kou stood and walked over to Ichiro, sitting in his lap and pressing her lips against his. It was no small peck on the mouth, Kou wanted to leave a lasting impression but on who she wasn't sure. Then she remembered and broke away, leaning close to Ichiro's ear and whispering an apology. "I'm sorry," she said and slid off of his lap, her hair turning pink as she waltzed back over to her seat.

"Oops, stupid me." Kou turned to the incubus, a rather devious smile dancing across her lips. She made sure to insert as much fake innocence into her words as she could muster. "You told me to sit still." Kou wanted him to realize she was not a dog that was going to role over and bark at his every command. She was a wild rabbit that no one could contain, not even a God.

"They were teasing me." Muse said and Liliane was a bit surprised. She didn't think of the others to tease but hopefully it wasn't the kind that went with bullying. If it was Liliane would have something to say.

"I'll talk to them the next chance I get." Liliane hoped that the others were just joking that they would understand Muse being uncomfortable with their teasing.

"Should we go to class Liliane?" Muse's voice shook Lili from her thoughts.

"Yeah. We should get going. It wouldn't be good if we were late to class." The two exited the infirmary and made their way to class in silence until the demon spoke up.

"Is there a certain name you would like me to call you?" Muse suddenly asked, hoping they would get to class soon as she didn't want to be in trouble.

"Liliane is perfectly fine. Or you can call me Lili if you want. I'm glad that I seem to get lucky in getting pleasant team mates." They reached the classroom door and Lili turned to Muse. "I just want to make something clear that I apply to anyone in my group; I am not your master. It troubles me if anyone thinks that way of me. We are teammates and equals. That is pretty much my main rule. And if you ever need anything don't hesitate to get me or our group instructor, Ms. Rayne. She's probably the nicest teacher at this school."

Liliane finally opened the door to the class to see most of the students were already present. Including Ruzik. Liliane didn't glare at him as she walked by this time. There already seemed to be some sort of tension in the air as it was but Lili was starting to get what type of person the Incubus was. To Lili he was like a small dog. All bark with no bite. She went and took her seat at the same place as the morning with Muse in tow. Sarah was already at the front of the class as well with the other instructors. Liliane waited to hear what was planned next. And in the back of her mind she wondered how would she do in any further exercises without her abilities.

The rabbit barged in on the girls business, why should she care if the servant was lonely? It wasn't as if they were a group anymore, did this girl still think of herself as a protector? Tedious. Kou asked of the new mage, was he better then the old one, what nonsense. It was not her place to ridicule the master verbally, any gripes she had were to be kept silent. It would be rude to not respond to the girl and she wished to keep good relations with Kou, it would be exploitable, "Lord Snow is my master, it is not my place to comment on his status, only encourage him forward." Etelka's eyes spotted the shark darting his way over to Kou, her threat had worked wonders it seemed.

Ruzik was rather aggressive in his motions, pulling the rabbit away and directing her to sit. It almost caused the servant to laugh at how concerned the shark was, then he got very much in Etelka's face. His words were quiet but aggressive in tone, but no matter what angle he took to try and intimidate her the stoic mask on her face would not break. She spoke back at his words at an equally hushed level, "I remember telling you to stay away from me and the master, are we going to teach each other lessons then?" She returned his smirk at him while leaning closer to his face, catching the master approaching out of the corner of her eye. Well then, the servant certainly hoped the master knew what he was doing, she didn't feel like conjuring the wand and stabbing the shark right now.

The master told the shark to leave her be, Etelka hardly needed the help but was satisfied with the master showing dominance. Then Ruzik had his rebuttal, he was beyond stupid threatening the mage in her presence again, telling him he would cause him to scream. The servant could barely restrain herself from conjuring the wand right now and jabbing the beast with it, but she could feel it. Lord Snow had tightened his grip on it, she could feel his intent, Etelka wished to see where this would go. The two exchanged more words, then it happened, the master pointed the wand towards the dastardly demon. Yes, this was good, Lord Snow was finally showing himself to be a desirable master, asserting dominance over this useless shark.

The red haired demon spat some words before retreating to his seat, Etelka chuckled as he escaped. Her eyes fell to the Lord and she smiled at him, "Thank you very much m'Lord, please do not let me inconvenience you in the future. She bowed her head slightly before returning to the realm of her own mind. However now she was far more satisfied, the Lord was growing already. She brought her bandaged hand up to her face, it had done the trick, it was worth a million times more pain then this. She would help form Lord Snow into the strongest mage, and because she was with him the whole way he would respect her. Being like Mikhail was her goal, then not only would the master be pleased she would be pleased. Etelka wanted to break all who opposed them together this was just the start, but it felt good.

Ruzik watched as Kou left him and made her way over to Ichiro, sitting herself against the mage-boy’s lap before locking her lips with his. Though watching such events the incubus couldn’t believe it was true, and yet he was certain that he wasn’t being delusional either, as the rabbit eventually managed to part herself from the blonde-boy and bring herself back over beside Ruzik.

His whole body ached whilst he sat, his insides screaming with rage and ill-felt thoughts of the rabbit. But he refused to voice it, oh no. He would not be that stupid again, clearly the whole thing was done out of spite to him – but for what? Did he hurt the lil’ bunny’s feelings? Good. Of course naturally his face gave his feelings away quite easily, his displeasure towards the rabbit-girl couldn’t have been more obvious when she sat back down and faked her innocence to him. It almost made him sick. Normally he would not have thought twice about slapping the girl for her spiteful act, not that he usually did such a thing to the girl, not at all, but the anger he felt was so strong at that point that causing any form of pain onto her was deemed acceptable in his mind. However, such an action would go against what he was trying to build – a good reputation, for the sake of earning back all that which was his, mainly his powers.

Still, the girl had gotten what she wanted. Ruzik was hurt, albeit somewhere deep inside of him that many would not have really noticed, but the girl knew him too well and the simplest of actions would have given him away so easily. For a moment and as he sat, his expression softened just an inch whilst the redhead looked to the girl and slowly leaned in closer to her before simply whispering at the girl, ”I hope he will make you happy, because we’re through.” His tone held no emotion, no rage nor despise, and not even a hint of sorrow. If anything it was quite lifeless, maybe he was more hurt than imagined but it was never easy to tell with Ruzik. Even though he may have been reacting a bit extremely, and quite hypocritically. It was a little odd to say the least about the incubus. ”I hate you.”

Pulling away, the incubus turned on his seat before rising to his feet. Ruzik didn’t even care to look back at the rabbit as he decided to walk over to the other side of the room and sit in one of the seats in the front row, surprisingly. Though perhaps even more amazingly, he didn’t kick off. Not a raised word was screamed, not a table was thrown, and not even a hint of revenge erupted from the demon. For those who knew him it would have been considered disturbing, but Ruzik didn’t seem otherwise bothered.

Of course though Ichiro earned a nasty glare from the redhead at one point, though other than that Ruzik paid no attention to anyone as he sat and faced the front. Didn't even look to Liliane, nor even Etelka again, or anyone. Eventually he slouched in his seat before resting his arms against the desk and burying his face within them, seemingly awaiting for further action from the Headmaster, once the time came. However, for certain he never looked back to the rabbit-girl. Not even once. They were through. Was she pleased with herself now?

"Goodbye Ruzik." was all the rabbit girl said in response to the Incubus's break up. He could go off and sleep with the whole school and she would forgive him, but if Kou kissed one boy the damn succubus threw a fit! He failed to keep promises, lied, cheated, and caused her unimaginable amounts of pain and Kou forgave him every time. Yet somehow in this whole situation she was the unfaithful one; he had no right to be mad. If anything she should have been the one breaking up with him! Perhaps it was a good thing Kou had been dragged away to the shrine all those years ago, otherwise Kou might have killed Ruzik by now.

She sighed as her hair returned to it's normal blue and drummed her fingers on the desk. This wasn't an unusual pattern for the two, breaking up after a string of extraordinary events. Unfortunately their relationship was not the healthiest and Kou seemed to like the idea of Ruzik more than the actual Ruzik. Things were going to be very awkward tonight when they had to retire to the same room. Perhaps she could take the bottom bunk and build a blanket fort? That's what any mature, 1000 something year old demon would do.

This led to thoughts about their new mage. Kou had gotten the message that Kasumi was being transferred and that she and Ruzik were going to get a new magic man (or woman). Who they were or what they looked like was beyond Kou and frankly she was excited. This would mean a new friend! Unless it was an overpowering person who had no interest in becoming acquainted and was simply attending the school to try and make themselves powerful. Kou had ended the lives of a few power hungry mages that had attempted to capture her. She had fed their hearts to-dammit why did all of her thoughts drift back to that redhead?

The demon rabbit clutched the sides of her head, it had been ten whole minutes and the fact that she knew they were no longer together was already making her crazy. She could really use a pint of the treat humans called ice cream and one of those magic screens to drown away her sorrows right about now. Don't look back at him. It's not worth it. The rabbit tapped her heel against the ground anxiously, smoothing down her hair and getting out of her chair to perch herself back up on the desk.

Kou was a rabbit, sitting still was not in her vocabulary.

"Oh you don't need to do that," Muse said quickly. "I don't think they meant anything mean, they were just playing around." Muse did not want to make enemies of the trio especially because.... Well she kind of liked Bugby. It was nice of him to try and help her during her anxiety attack and she did not want to lose the awkward friendship that was beginning to blossom. Muse's cheeks turned red at the thought and she quickly looked down so that Liliane could not see the blush that was forming.

"But to most other mages, demons are meant to serve.... So why?" Muse questioned as she trailed behind Lili into the classroom. Muse sat in an empty seat beside the mage and watched with amusement as the scene before her unfolded. She felt kind of bad for the redhead, although she did not know the whole story; otherwise Muse might have cheered on the rabbit. Muse turned to Lili to say something and winced, the beginnings of a headache starting up in her skull. Gently Muse pressed her fingers against her temples and attempted to rub it away, but the pain persisted and spots began to dance at the edges of her vision. Quickly Muse turned away from the mage as she did not want Liliane to worry for her well being and placed her head on the desk, acting as though she were bored or tired.

This was no ordinary headache and with the pain came a memory. Had something Muse said trigger it? Or perhaps maybe Lili had? Muse closed her eyes, hoping that this would be an important clue to her past.

"Get up you stupid demon, you're of no use to me dead." The boy who spoke was young with brown hair and striking hazel eyes that today were the color of small gold supernovas. He ran a hand through his hair as he commanded the being on the ground to rise. "Master I believe it is dead," the mage's companion spoke, kicking the corpse over with a booted foot to reveal the gaping hole in the demon's abdomen that was still leaking rancid fluid.

"Dammit Muse I told you to rough him up not kill him!" His hand came down hard, striking the servant's face. A large red welt began to blossom on her cheek but the mage wasn't finished, for good measure he kicked the demon in the stomach and as she went down, kneed her in the face. She could not touch him as their contract stated and so Muse took the pain quietly, standing at her master's command. "Come on, now we've got to find another one."

Muse lifted her head off of the desk, both the headache and memory gone. There had been no important tidbits, except now the demon knew that she had once served a mage with odd colored eyes. She was even more frustrated then before, if possible as the memory seemed to be irrelevant aside from the fact it told her where she had gotten so many of her scars from.

About ready to enter the classroom as the door opens, Ichiro stepped back as Bugby quickly closed it in front of them. Getting another ear full about their teasing from Bugby. "Ya I bet I'll be sorry." He said with a hint of sarcasm. Entering the room they all seemed so sit around Kou, this time Ichiro decided to join them. For one, the red haired Demon wasn't around which meant that he was fine. Though if he were to show up Ichiro wouldn't back down this time and if the Demon decides to start something it may be time to throw down the gloves.

Ichiro glanced over at Bugby as Cleo joked about how they could be the only ones returning to class. He hoped that whatever they did next he wouldn't end up with a spear through the leg. The pain was one thing, but the embarrassment he received from the Nurse was on a whole different level. Laughing in his mind a bit as Bugby probably felt the same level of embarrassment in the end as well. His train of thought interrupted as he received a tight hug from behind, while he had a sinking feeling of who it might be. Turning around he had assumed correct as their stood the devil himself. Maybe throwing up a bit in his mouth as the Demon mentioned the thought of even becoming friends.

While the Demon was pushing it, Ichiro wasn't ready to be kicked out for starting something over a hug. For now he would buy his time and pay him back when the time was right. As Kou inquired about why the Demon was being so friendly Ichiro couldn't help, but scoff at the thought. "Ha, him friendly. That's a good joke." Ichiro said in a whisper to himself. Something seemed off between the two, the Demon who Ichiro had learned was named Ruzik, and Kou. As Ruzik keep looking over to the girl who was sitting next to the window.

Before Ichiro knew Kou was already talking to her, though that was not the shocking part. Reacting like wind Ruzik bounced out of his seat moving over to Kou and grabbed her wrist. Ichiro didn't know Kou all that much, though in reality he didn't even know his own team that much. Compared to them he barely knew Kou, while his impression of her from their first meeting was really good as she seemed kind and a lot like Cleo in many ways. See seemed to be really close with Ruzik, most likely knowing each other before they arrived at the school. Still they had just arrived at school so everyone was practically still strangers, though Ichiro felt more as if they were already his family. Ichiro almost jumped out of his desk and speared the Ruzik for the action, though he hesitated because he was unsure of what kind of relationship they had, maybe he wasn't being serious, though it looked serious. Even if he hadn't known Kou he still would be in a aggravated state. Still Ichiro knew Kou was tough and unless she mentioned otherwise he would try not to act.

Ichiro's mother always tried to instill good manners in him, and Ichiro picked them up quite easily. The biggest one his mother ever taught him was never lay hands on a woman. She always really stressed that as the biggest thing, though Ichiro came to understand what she meant. Training, these school assignments or even if the the enemy was a woman he couldn't refuse to fight them because that would be way more disrespectful. What his mother was saying was never assault a woman in a personal manner. While he always tries to act cool and refrain from getting angry. He couldn't stand watching guys bully around women. On top of that he proceeded to start yelling at the girl Kou was talking to. Not sure at all what was going on or the backstory behind it, none of that really mattered as Ruzik's behavior was just disgusting. "Man what a great new friend you guys seemed to have made." Saying with a completely serious face, he hadn't had an expression like that since his fight with Midora and not for a long time before that. He made sure to say it loud enough for Cleo and Bugby to hear.

Ichiro's reason to dislike Ruzik may have seemed petty before, but now he had a solid reasoning why not to like the Demon. He truly encompassed almost everything Ichiro could hate in a person. About to jump out of his seat and kill the Demon himself, it seemed as if the mage from earlier stepped in already. "Oh mage, please I'm begging you to start something so I can join in without the repercussions." Ichiro said to himself. Before anything started Kou did something Ichiro would had never seen coming in a million years.

Kou walked straight over to him sat down right on his lap and full on kissed him. Ichiro's behavior changed in the blink of an eye. His face turned a bright shade of red and his excitement and anger faded in a split second. Most of what he was feeling was pure shock and confusion as Ichiro wasn't really sure what just happened at all. As she apologies Ichiro wasn't to sure what to respond with. "Don-Don't worry about it." Ichiro said back with a hesitant laugh. His face still blaring red and his heart was beating so fast he was sure it was about to explode. "Please no nose bleed not right now, not the time at all." Saying to himself while quickly checking to make sure he didn't get a nose bleed. While his body language and attitude portrayed the idea he was experiences with girls, it was almost the opposite. He had barely kissed any girls, and definitely never had a kiss like that.

He fiddle with his hands below the desk while shifting his eyes from his desk, to Kou, to the front of the classroom. Not making eye contact with anyone in the room, as he wasn't sure what to say or even how to act. After a few seconds he glanced around the room. "So we're just waiting for the headmaster to get class started now." Not sure what else to say right now. Ichiro was really conflicted, one part of him wanted to just stand up and gloat while rubbing it in Ruzik's face. Though as he looked at Kou he could tell by her behavior she was in pain. While he wanted to cheer her up, after what just happened he wasn't to sure what to say or even how to approach Kou at the moment. Watching her he knew he had to do something, he couldn't just leave her like that. He had to think of something.

Ruzik unsurprisingly couldn’t help but look over his shoulder every now and again and eye up the rabbit-demon. He had made the biggest mistake of his life to date and yet didn’t quite know it, as his eyes traveled up and down the girls figure with a rather confused look. He watched her sit on the desk, seeming confident and alright with what had happened – it distorted his train of thought.

Why was she fine with it? Where was her tears and heartache? Moreover, why in contrast was he the one sat hunched over a desk and keeping his head low? It irked him a little, mostly due to lack of understanding. Though to say this was a first for the pair would be an understatement, and you’d think it would get easier the more practice they had for these types of situations, though sadly not. Most times Ruzik was to blame, but he would never accept it believing it was the girls own fault. She’d drive him away, force his unfaithful streaks whenever they arose. He had no control, it was all the rabbits doing. Of course it wasn’t his fault – he was who he was after all, blaming his own species for his antics. What else would you expect from an incubus? The girl knew what she was getting involved with from day one, so why continually blame Ruzik for behavior that she’d more or less accepted? That was his view on the situation, at least.

Facing back round to the front, Ruzik threw his head down hard against the desk with a loud thud. From a distance it would have looked as if he was attempting to knock himself out, though unfortunately he was still very much conscious bar the headache he now had. Others would have wished him dead let alone unconscious. He wasn’t stupid, the incubus could practically feel the hatred and tension that radiated to him like a magnet. One demon had bit him, the other using him then dumping him. A mage even tried to kill him whilst another blatantly stood up to him, and then there was one more who had gone so far as to even break his heart. That was just in one day, if that.

But then who needed others anyway? Picking up his head the demon sat with one elbow rested against the desk, aiding to prop his skull up as he slouched forward. Letting out a sigh he closed his eyes slightly, pondering over what to do with himself. He had lost everything now, there was no real reason to behave anymore or remain at the academy. But it wasn’t as if he could just leave, in reality he was forced to stay at this awful place and face every consequence of his actions – which was certainly a first for him. No wonder the incubus seemed uneasy all for a sudden, he wasn’t use to this wave of emotion that was creeping over him gradually. All the guilt, regret and even a slight hint of fear that was building within him.

”Nobody cares anyway.” He huffed, biting down on his lower lip to the point he managed to draw a slither of blood. His eye though focused on the headmaster, awaiting further instructions. ”Let’s just get this class over with, sooner the better.” He told himself.

Cleo Gardenia

Cleo watched as things unfolded quickly amongst the students after her group had taken their seats. Her eyes had fallen onto both Kou and Ruzik as the pair had some form of domestic whilst over beside another girl, clearly the redhead was mistreating the rabbit-demon however Cleo wasn’t that very experienced with these sort of things. Was this normal behavior? Probably not, considering Kou didn’t look that happy due to it but the feline kept herself out of it at any rate.

Soon enough the rabbit sat back down, followed by Ruzik. But what happened next the cat-girl would never had suspected, and looking quite evidently surprised if not shocked, Cleo witnessed Kou kissing Ichiro right before her very eyes! The girl’s mouth almost dropped open, as well as her ears falling however thankfully it was over pretty quickly. Whatever happened next between the rabbit and redhead the feline didn’t care, as a slight hint of displeasure was visible on her features as she looked to the back of Kou.

”S-She kissed Ichi
but that’s my job!” Her voice was kept to only a slight hear-able audio, her glare shifting between the rabbit and mage though she couldn’t entirely blame Ichiro. But of course his blush didn’t help matters, to Cleo it suggested he enjoyed it which didn’t make her feel any better. Puffing her cheeks a little a slight tint of red filled her face, but she did her best to ignore it. ”Why did it have to be my Ichi.”

Narrowing her eyes a little the feline lowered her ears further before turning to the red-faced mage beside her, giving him a not-to-amused expression. ”You idiot why can you never just say no to other girls!” She hissed at him quietly before punching the side of his arm, though not too hard just enough to emphasize her feelings. Plus, she meant to get him back for his little comment earlier. The one he had said especially loud to ensure she heard, about how the demons had made such a great friend. Yeah, she’d heard him.

Crossing her arms down against the desk the cat-girl rested her head against them, just under her chin, as her gaze looked ahead onto Kou. Cleo unintentionally let out a small continuous hiss, as the feline was never great had hiding such emotions. And as such she couldn’t deny how much it upset her that the rabbit had kissed her mage. He was hers. Her mage, her teammate – her friend. She was protective of her mage and perhaps a bit clingy to him, but ultimately she viewed Ichiro similar to a new owner, in that he reminded her of the old woman who cared for her. So it was hardly surprising that Cleo took offense to the rabbit doing such a thing! However, shifting just a bit closer to Bugby the feline gradually began to lose her hiss and form a purr towards her other teammate, Bugby.

DĂșyĂš

Finally being in a real bed after days of uncomfortable travel and enjoying the pleasant aftermath of her time with Etelka, DĂșyĂš desperately wished to ignore the announcement of their next class that rang out through the entirety of the academy. After delaying for some time she heaved a sigh and finally pushed herself up to her feet. Her eyes squinted in discomfort as she flicked the lights in the room back on and headed into the bathroom to wash her face and fix her hair. Soon after she went about slipping into a new set of underwear and a new dress before donning her loose brown coat and heading out of the dorm, flipping off the light and shutting the door behind her.

Looking none too pleased she tucked her hands away into her coat pockets and made way for the classroom she had found earlier that morning. The halls were mostly empty, it seemed a majority of the students had more promptly made their way to class but DĂșyĂš nonetheless didn't feel in much of a rush. After some time she arrived at the classroom, another sigh pushing its way through her lips as she slid the door open and stepped inside. It seemed class had yet to start, oh joy. Her gaze immediately turned to the headmaster, less ireful than it had been before as her nose detected no presence of the disgusting smoke from this morning. With that out of the way her gaze turned back to the several mages and demons who sat about the room, once she located Laurence and Etelka however she simply made a straight line for them.

She took her seat without a word and glanced between the two, mostly checking to see if Laurence's face had been tended to, and it looked like it had. Already feeling boredom creep in she leaned forward onto the desk, "Smokey over there said anything about what we're doing yet?" she asked to the both of them before her gaze turned more decidedly to Etelka, a slight grin on her lips. "Was fun dear, don't hesitate to ask if you'd like to go again in the future."

Bugby sat and observed as more students turned up, many of which he actually recognized and even daringly knew to an extent. He didn’t really say much whilst sitting and watching, though there didn’t seem to be a need to as things kick-up with Kou and Ruzik, which may have escalated at some point though things were pretty hit-and-miss for the majority of the time. Of course he wasn’t slow in giving Ichiro a quick glare towards his little remark, he had certainly voiced it loud enough for himself to hear, as well as Cleo.

”Whatever.” He muttered with a frown, though his expression changed considerably when the very same mage was then kissed by Kou. It was oddly unbelievable and yet it was truly happening, the expression on Ichiro’s facing lifting the demons mood just a little. But Bugby couldn’t help but wonder why the rabbit had done such a thing, surely she didn’t fancy the idiot? It was then that Bugby couldn’t fail to notice the evident unpleasantness that was Cleo, who felt differently upon the action, he guessed.

”Maybe you should calm down Cleo.” He quietly said after witnessing the feline punching their mage, though not too roughly. Clearly the girl felt more strongly for Ichiro, in a way perhaps she didn’t fully understand. It was quite amusing though awkward at the same time, especially as quite a few students were causing some tension in the air now. Thankfully he kept out of it, preferring to sit and merely watch as conflict was not exactly his area of comfort. When Cleo move a bit closer to him the boy offered a smile to the purring girl, reaching a hand over as he lightly patted her back to ease the girl, surprisingly. He could sense the girls dislike to the rabbit, he understood her issue with the girl though he’d rather she’d got over it for the sake of peace. So long as the cat kept purring that could only be a good sign.

Laurence Snow

Laurence turned and face Etelka, giving the demon a friendly smile before tilting his head to the side. ”You’re very welcome, but you weren’t inconveniencing me.” He told the demon before walking round and sitting in the seat next to her, placing the wand against the desk as the young mage leaned back in his seat. He hoped he wasn’t bothering the demon, and hadn’t even thought of how she felt towards him defending her, although by the looks of it Etelka didn’t mind which reassured the boy. ”I don’t really like that guy, and I don’t appreciate him bothering you. So I just did what I felt was right though I don’t believe I did much, anyway.”

Laurence sighed a little as he spoke, trying to forget about the red-haired demon. However, quickly after, he spotted another redhead though this one he preferred more. It was Venom and the girl joined them, to which he turned to face her. ”No, the Headmaster hasn’t said a word to anyone, or even moved now that I think about it. Though it looks like everyone is here near enough, so we should be starting soon’ish I guess.” He informed the demon, though noticed her gaze was more fixated onto Etelka, and once after speaking into her fellow demon the boy raised a brow slightly. ”Go where?” The mage asked with his ever-common sweet voice. He didn’t fully understand what she was implying or referring to, but he could only assume whatever it was happened during the time of which he was absent from both demons. ”If it was fun, can I go too?”

He looked to the pair curiously, offering a smile as his fingers tapped lightly against the wand. Really, the boy was just pleased to know that the two demons were getting along, clearly very well. And so long as he got along with them then that was all that mattered. ”I meant to ask what you two did after I left, so I'm guessing you went somewhere? And you didn't think to come and get me too!”

Memphis

Memphis watched as the room filled up gradually, rarely uttering a single word nor moving as he kept his being seated indefinitely. At some point he noticed Midora arriving, giving out a faint sigh of quiet relief as at least now he wasn’t alone with the class – not that the students bothered him to that extreme, but it was strangely reassuring to know there was other members of staff nearby in case they should be needed. Likewise Miss Rayne appeared and took her place at the front with him.

With the thought pushed aside however the red-haired demon rose from his seat and calmly walked around the desk before placing himself in front of the seated students. With either hand sat against the side of his waist the man gave quite an emotionless stare to the youths, though perhaps that was mainly due to the fact he didn’t have a cigarette and was a little lost as to what to do with himself without a smoke on-hand.

"Well, let me start by saying you all did well on your exercise this morning. I am actually quite surprised to see so many of you back here right now," He began, though it was a little too much effort for the demon to force a smile. "That was just a tiny ouch of what will be thrown at you to come in your time at this academy. So, work on your groups and bond more, as you will certainly require each other in the exercises to come." With the brief moment of praise over, the Headmaster shifted his weight from side to side momentarily as he thought quietly for a few seconds. Once that was done, he cleared his throat slightly. "Now, I have asked you here for two things, mainly. One being what some of you will be doing now, and secondly what the rest of you will be doing tonight."

Pausing, he let the wonder and curiosity set into their minds before continuing. "As I said, there will be a special task given out to a few select individuals. Those students are as followed – Laurence Snow, DĂșyĂš, Muse, Hive, Ichiro Ogura and Cleo Gardenia. Those whose names I’ve mentioned will speak with me and Mr. Kurayami shortly, in private. You will be briefed then on what it entails, and we will prepare you for this task soon enough. However, all I ask is that you remain seated for now until we are ready to speak with you. As I must ensure the remaining students are set with their task first." Memphis gave Midora a quick glance, as he revealed his chosen students and even added another one to the bunch – but the demon knew what he was doing. He had thought about it, and stuck with his decision.

Readjusting himself, the demon clasped his hands together as he addressed the other half of the class – meaning those who were not part of the special mission. "You remaining five – Kou, Ruzik, Etelka, Liliane and Bugby will be partaking in a different task. Though soon there is to be six of you once our newest student arrives, I’m sure both Kou and Ruzik have been informed of their new mage – Lapidus?" Glancing to the door, the red-haired demon began to wonder when his newest arrival would actually arrive. He had told the boy to be there early but clearly that had not happened, but he was sure the mage would appear soon enough. Quickly though he returned his attention o the students. "As I was saying. You all will be undergoing a knock-down challenge and will be split into two groups - the first person from each group to knock-down both their teammates will earn a special reward of their choice. I believe this to be quite a fun game, especially when grouped with those you are not entirely familiar with."

Walking closer the Headmaster looked to the individual students who he was talking to, eyeing them up as he thought. "Group 1 will be Bugby, Etelka and Liliane. Meaning Group 2 will be of Kou, Ruzik and Lapidus." Giving a slight nod the demon walked back over to his desk and rested against its side as he addressed the students. "That is all. Those who are doing the knock-down challenge should make their way outside to the training area to begin." He said and pointed to the door. "It’s a simple game, the aim is to knock both your opponents down - however you are only allowed to hit each person once. If you fail to knock them over with that one hit then you lose and will be disqualified - in turn giving a point to your opponents. But by all means use your abilities to their best and avoid getting hit for as long as you can - those who do not have any powers currently will have to adapt. Think wisely, move quickly and do your best. Oh, and best remember – any form of cheating or lack of participating will result in punishment, both you and your partners." Looking away he turned to the others, " And those who aren’t, as said, should stay seated."

Moving once more, Memphis walked over to Miss Rayne and spoke to her quietly. "If you could, I would like you to keep an eye on Group 1 and ensure no trouble arises. Just make sure no cheating goes on, you know. I will send Mr. Akigawa to keep watch of Group 2 when he arrives." With a nod he turned and returned to his desk, sitting on it this time as he dismissed those five students. Motioning with a hand he also beckoned for Midora to come over beside him.

The rabbit was contemplating going to take a nap in the infirmary as she could not stand Ruzik's eyes boring into the back of her skull. Kou was very proud of herself for keeping it together and not breaking down crying or going to Ruzik and begging him for forgiveness. No, it was time the Incubus learned the error of his ways. There were plenty of Incubus and Succubi that didn't cheat, lie, and hurt their partners and although Kou had known what she was getting into when she first met Ruzik, it was about time the demon realized he was on a path towards self destruction. This is for his own good.

A hiss came from her side and Kou turned her head to see that Cleo was clearly not pleased. It seems she had burned one bridge and Kou would attempt to rebuild it at a later time as now she was afraid she could not speak for fear that she would burst into tears. Kou was miserable without her Ruzik although the rabbit kept up her air of a happy, carefree exterior. It was then that the new Headmaster began to speak, leaning against the desk in a casual manner as his fingers twitched, clearly itching for something to hold onto. Kou took a proper seat when he began to speak so that the students behind her could see and listened to what the man had to say. He had an aura about him that demanded attention, or perhaps it was the lavenous red hair that drew the eye in?

The rabbit folded her hands and rest her chin on them, propping her elbows up on the desk as she listened. She silently hoped that her name would be called for the mission off campus so that she would not have to see the Incubus or meet the new mage, but it seems the rabbit had no such luck. She was stuck here with both, although now Kou knew the persuasion of the new magic wielder. A male. A sly grin made it's way onto Kou's lips as she thought about all the fun she could have with this boy. Not in the way most would think, Kou just enjoyed teasing. It was a hobby of her's to embarrass others and see how red she could make one's face turn. Sexual relations were not something she took lightly and unlike some at this Academy; Kou's chastity was still very much in tact.

Her name was called and Kou's gaze drifted from the window and back towards Memphis. He was saying something about her being in Group 2 with Ruzik and a Lapidus. Who's Lapidus? Oh that must be the new mage. Kou's thoughts somehow drifted to Etelka and because of the servant girl Kou thought up a new game. Oh how a bad day was about to turn fun! Her hair turned pink with giddy, although one might have thought it was because of the game the Headmaster spoke of. Knock-down, or something of the like. Her ears perked up as the Headmaster informed them that they would be able to use their abilities and just then Kou understood what the name implied. She would have another chance at beating Ruzik today.

This time Kou was not going to let him knock her flat, she was determined to come out victorious. As soon as he was done speaking Kou stood and walked towards the door, going to the training grounds where the staff game had taken place. On her way Kou passed the Incubus and winked, "See you on the battlefield."

Idiot, he doesn't like you anymore. Remember? A dark voice in the back of her mind spoke, causing her hair to turn back to blue. The rabbit suddenly remembered herself and exited the room so that no one could see her hands shaking. She wiped her palms on her dress although no perspiration had formed and made her descent towards the training grounds where the game would take place. He hates you, it felt as though someone was stabbing her in the chest. It's a good thing she was nowhere near Ruzik otherwise Kou's heart surely would have betrayed her. Kou turned a corner and choked back a sob, covering her mouth with both hands and closing her eyes in an attempt to calm herself.

"Ichi.... Ni.... San..." she counted quietly and began to walk once more towards the battle grounds. Kou was the first to arrive and so she sat in the grass, savoring the feeling of the sun on her skin.

Muse sat in her seat quietly, swinging her legs ever so slightly out of boredom. She had taken to staring out the window, although Muse sat on the opposite side of the room and so it might have appeared as though she were staring at the group made up of Etelka, Duye, and Laurence. The peculiar looking demon shook her head and looked forward as the Headmaster cleared his throat. Muse continued in her musings as she listened to his words, wondering what this mission could be while figuring there was no way she could be chosen for it. Then, as if by miracle or perhaps mind reading, her name was listed off as part of the group that was to leave campus for the assignment.

Muse early fell out of her seat in surprise. She ceased her swinging and sat up a bit straighter, a smile dancing across her lips as excitement tingled her spine. Perhaps that would mean they would release her from the bind of the talismans? Or maybe Memphis was only bringing Muse along to keep an eye on her? She would have to ask him when time allowed it. Muse waited patiently, drumming her fingers quietly on the desk. Finally he finished speaking and dismissed them and Muse jumped out of her seat before remembering Liliane. "I'll see you later then Lili," Muse said and waved goodbye as she walked to the front of the classroom.

"Excuse me Sir, I was wondering why I was chosen for this mission?" Muse reached out to tap Memphis's shoulder because he was facing the other way, then thought better of it and withdrew her hand. "I don't know if you've been informed of my... Problem." Muse didn't know if that was the right word for it. "You see I have no memory so I don't really know what my abilities are." Which meant she was nothing more than a liability, especially if this mission was especially hazardous. Muse did not want to get in anyone's way and although she wanted to go, she also wanted to stay alive.

Midora listened on quietly as Memphis began to induce about the students' upcoming tasks. It seemed that besides the mission that was sent from the Department, the Headmaster has given the new tasks for those ones who aren't going to partake in the quest to defeat the monsters and close the Window. It was a knock-down exercise. Midora couldn't say that he'll totally accept with his boss' decision, taken into account of what has happened this morning to the students that Mikari supervised. Somethings like that must never happen again. Midora also know that sealing their powers are still merciful. If the students ever break the laws again or something worse than this morning session then severe punishments that they wouldn't even think of will be carry on them. But, Midora believes that the Demon might has some intentions that Midora didn't know so he'd accept his order and follow Memphis's decision for now.

As the Demon continued, he has decided who is going to go on the mission in place of Etelka and gave Midora a quick glance, in which he replied with a nod. It seemed that he has chosen another extra one, which was Cleo, so that no student will be left out. Midora said they only needed five students, but it wouldn't be too crowded to add another one so he figures that he has no objections. During the inducement, Midora has kept his eyes on the hybrid Mage - Laurence, ignoring whether the Mage notices that Midora was watching him or not. The boy isn't weak as he shows to the others. He also has quite some determination. But just like Midora, he is holding back his real strength. The power that lies deep in the darkness of his soul. Although Midora has already decided to do what he need to Laurence, he is secretly wondering whether if he should totally recondition him or just partly. He knows that the boy was so innocent and naive, which reminds Midora of his past and he wouldn't want to make him fall into the dark. But later on, he can decid what should be done.

After Memphis has finished, he motioned Midora to came beside him. Perhaps there are some other things that he wanted to ask. So Midora walked to the man and quietly asked, "Yes?" However, it was them that Muse came forth and asked Memphis about something, so Midora stepped back a bit and let them talk first.

Mikari stretched his arms and yawned tiredly as he kept on waiting his student to arrive. Didn't Memphis-sama tell that kid to arrive on time? Guess I should work on that. Mikari sheepishly thought. But just as he waiting, he checked on Ruzik through the talisman, only to find nothing but a mess. The Incubus' emotions were a chaos and Mikari could felt the feeling of betrayal coming from the Incubus. Did something happen between him and Kou-san? He thought. Though he must admit the Demon has improve a bit for trying his bed to hold back his malice so that it didn't to turn into bloodlust. Mikari figures that he should have a nice 'chat' with his favorite Incubus. Maybe on bed, again...

Just as he was deep in his thought, someone pronouncing his name in a rather funny way startled him, pulled him back to reality. He looked on and find that a boy with a swinging tail was walking towards his direction. This boy is the one whom Midora has informed him to be the replacment? Mikari was rather surprise because just lookong from the outside he clearly look like a Demon more. But before Mikari could even asked, the boy suddenly go hyped. He pointed the picture of Mikari to him in the introduction paper like a child showing something they've just found to their parents.

"O..Oi, calm d-" Mikari sweat dropped as he tried to keep the Demon calm, but he was interrupted again as the boy introduced himself. He said his name was Lapidus so he's definitely the one Midora talked about. Taking a quick glance at the boy, he quickly made his judgement by digging his knowledge. Mikari can feel the affinity for magic from the boy and the mana flow from him tells that he has potential of Demon control power so he is no doubt a Mage, and yet, only a hyper-active Demon can have such a ragged appearance like that. This leads Mikari to his conclusion: Lapidus is a half-breed.

When the boy finished talking, Mikari let out a sigh of relief. "Geez, we've just met and you speak to me as if we've been friends for a while. I don't mind that, but some people aren't very comfortable, y'know." Mikari said with a hand on his hip and smile light-heartedly, "And yeah, the name's Mikari. I'll be your Teacher from now on. So be nice or I'll kick your ass, kay?" Mikari grinned as he 'threaten' the boy, "You should feel lucky that I'm your teacher. If you fall into the hands of a gloomy, meanie, scary black-haired Teacher or a fiery, bossy, and also meanie red-head Headmaster then I'm sure your head has already been put onto a silver plate and served as breakfast for them already."

Mikari grinned at his own jokes then straighthen himself up but a proud smile still appear on his face. "So, you're a half-breed, huh? Don't worry when you're here, absolutely no act of discrimmination is tolerate so no one's gonna eat you up. And does that tail troubling you? Let me do something 'bout it."

With that said, Mikari waved his index finger as Lapidus' shirt was rolled up, revealed his belly. His tail then automatically wrapped around the boy's torso. And finally, Mikari sprung out some extreme thin Dark Matter strings from his sleeve and wrapped around the tail. "Those strings should be able to keep your tail intact until dusk falls. We don't want anyone trample on it, do we?" Mikari playfully said then walked foward and approched Lapidus, "Today's the first fay so I'll spare you from your fate for being late. But remember that I won't be so mercy next time, agree?" Mikari winked.

"As much as I want to take you for a round to see more of this humble Academy, the Headmaster are requesting our presence for the upcoming task in the afternoon. Sorry that you couldn't have a decent break to day, but learn to deal with it. Now let's go. You don't wanna test his patience." Mikari said with another grin as he grabbed the boy's shoulder and the two of them vanished into a dark vortex. Seconds later, they were teleported in front of the classroom's door. Without any time to waste, they entered the room, gaining anyone who are still inside's attention.

Mikari cleared his throat as he took Lapidus to the front of the class and introduced, "Attention, class. For some reasons, Kasumi has to be transferred so Group 4 is going to have a new Mage, as informed. Please meet Lapidus Otto. I hope you all will get along." He said then turned to Lapidus, "You can sit on the empty seat in front of the red-head on the front row over there. The Headmaster will explain the task again to you soon."

With that said, Mikari walked and stood next to Midora and turned to ask Memphis. "So, do I have any duties on the upcoming session?"

Memphis was silently watching as one of the students headed outside, the rabbit-girl who was partaking in the challenge he had set up for the other half of the class. But his attention was stolen a moment later as he heard a voice speak up behind him. Looking round quickly he saw it was the girl with the horns, Muse he believed her name was.

"Are you complaining that you were chosen?" He replied, not really answering her question nor showing much of a kind expression towards the female. Soon he turned his body round to face the girl fully, pondering his words a little more carefully before continuing. "I’ve heard about your ‘problem’ and I know of that talisman that is placed on you – your file gave that away, however my knowledge goes no further than that. As to why you have it, and why you cannot remember is not of my business, what matters are that you are here and were chosen because we thought you could be good for the mission."

Looking to the younger girl, Memphis knelt down a little to be more level with her. Similar to a parent with a child he looked into her eyes and with a calm voice added, "Just so you know, it’s not what you can do with the abilities you have that make a valued demon, but rather it’s what you can do with the body you have and how you use it that make a difference. Abilities are only accessories, demons need more than that to survive." Pausing, the redhead thought for a single moment before finally asking, "However I will not force you into this if you feel completely uncomfortable with undertaking this mission – I won’t lie, the mission will be dangerous, so if you feel you are not ready for it then I would put another student in your place if that is what you wish? I appreciate you came to talk to me, it shows you have a good head on your shoulders, as they say Muse. Just let me know what your decision is when you decide.” When about to address Midora who had appeared not long before the Headmaster just remember something, quickly redirecting his focus to the girl. ”Oh, if you want further assistance with that talisman I am here to help, should you want to investigate the matter further – we could even help try and get it off you, but only if you want it. Feel free to speak to me on the issue later or whenever you want to."

With that said Memphis straightened himself and looked to Midora once again, however Mikari also decided to enter at that very moment with the new student in tow. Finally. His expression generally followed its usual un-amused state as the demon looked to the blue-haired mage and then the younger student, who after being introduced to the class then proceeded to sit near Ruzik. Memphis turned to face Mikari at that moment. "Yes, I want you to keep watch over Kou, Ruzik and Lapidus outside as they will be facing each other in what I like to call ‘Knock-Down’. The aim of this challenge is to knock each of your opponents down with only one hit for each. Abilities and such are allowed, though I just want you to ensure nothing bad happens like last time. Your group doesn’t exactly have a good reputation, Mr. Akigawa. Think you can handle that simple duty?"

Turning away Memphis walked over to the new mage and placed his hands against the desk as he glared down at the odd boy before him. "And you, Otto. What happened to arriving here sharp? I specifically told you to arrive early, not late. Do you see the problem here?" Leaning in more closely the redhead narrowed his eyes slightly, mostly just to give the boy a friendly warning that his lateness would not be tolerated. A minute or so later, Memphis pulled back and put his hands to his hips. "Anyway, your task for now is simple – try and knock each of your opponents down with a single hit, doing so you will win. Those you will be facing are your teammates, one being Ruzik who is behind you, and Kou who is already outside waiting. If you need to know anything else then feel free to ask either Mr. Akigawa or your group-mates, and once more – do not be late, Otto."

Turning is back to the boy Memphis finally faced the two mage teachers. "Mr. Akigawa if there is nothing else then you should head outside, while you Mr. Kurayami will stay with me." He said, waiting for Mikari to take his leave before speaking to Midora alone. "Actually, I was thinking that when the time comes to brief the kids on the mission that you could take the lead on that? I’m not as knowledgeable on the matter, and you seem to know the details pretty well. And one more thing, I was wondering if we could talk privately afterwards, or later at some point before we set out for the mission. I think it would be wise for us to talk about how we will perform during this mission as a team, and establish some ground rules and familiarity, and such. If that is alright with you?"

Ruzik R.

Image

Ruzik sat and listened as the Headmaster spoke, albeit he didn’t want to listen the incubus could do nothing but hear the demon-figure as he stood in front of him. Apparently half the class was going on some mission but he wasn’t picked, instead Ruzik was to participate in some other exercise with Kou and his new mage – Lapidus. He didn’t know whether it was a girl or boy as the demon hadn’t been informed on much more other than the fact his old mage was now gone, the girl who he would’ve attempted to hurt if it weren’t for Liliane. Sulking, the redhead kept quiet and listened to the in’s and out’s of the game, Knock-Down. The reminder that he didn’t have his powers was another hit to the incubus, as without them he would surely lose? Then again, it wasn’t like he really tried and gave it his all in the last exercise. Admittedly he did give it a go, but not by much. He cared little for these games and would merely humor the Headmaster for now. As he was about to move himself Ruzik noticed Kou already passing him and gave the boy a wink, apparently she would see him on the battlefield.

Was that an invitation to fight, or make-up? Ruzik couldn’t tell and honestly he didn’t know which one he preferred. The rabbit waltz about as if nothing had happened and it bothered him, she didn’t even appear heartbroken over it! Rolling his eyes the incubus got to his feet and begrudgingly began to make his way to the door. However, the new student had arrived not long before and was sat in front of him – the incubus unable to keep his hands to himself as he sat a hand against the mage-boy's shoulder and looked to him.

”Hey teammate, I’ll see you outside.” He grinned to the pointy-eared boy, removing his hand as the redhead carried on walking.

As he did he also passed Mikari as he stood beside the other mage-teacher, as well as the Headmaster. The incubus refrained from saying anything as it appeared they were talking, although Ruzik looked to the blue-haired mage and gave him a dissatisfied look – though his displeasure was not due to the mage, it was merely the fact that Ruzik could not ignore his inner conflict of emotions and failed to hide them from his features. Soon enough he exited the room and walked out into the training area. His eyes quickly fell onto the sitting figure of Kou, though he didn’t feel a need to draw her attention onto him so soon as he quietly walked over the rabbit-demon.

Once he had approached the girl he knelt down beside her and wasted little time in throwing his arms around the rabbit’s shoulders as he pulled her into a tight embrace. ”I-I didn’t mean it.” He said though his voice was a little muffled by her hair at that moment, which was just as well though, as it was handy to disguise the slight needy emotion that was present in his tone. ”I’ll take you back, you don’t have to apologize I’ll have you back, Kou.” Clearly Ruzik had not grasped who exactly it was that was in the wrong, seemingly viewing Kou was the source of their sudden break-up.

Releasing the girl Ruzik moved himself over until he was sitting directly in front of Kou. Caring little for the consequence he placed his hands up against her thighs and just beneath the ends of her skirt, as he teasingly ran his fingers against that area of her flesh. ”I’m willing to look past your wrongdoing and that kiss you gave that mage, I know it was just a cry for attention – deep down you want me, you need me. If you just say you’ll have me then I’ll be yours, Kou. All yours.” Despite how it may have came out, that was an actual attempt to rebuild bridges with the rabbit – though Ruzik clearly viewed the situation differently compared to his ex, which was not at all surprising. In truth though he did want her back, desperately. It was so unreal to not have the girl with him, having her against him and being able to talk to her without this sudden tension that lingered between them.

”I know you’re just a girl going through your emotions, I realize that now. You wanted to get back at me for something or another, whatever. But I won’t hold it against you, I forgive you. So, anyway,” Placing his face a few inches closer to hers, the incubus whispered ever-so-slightly seducingly, ”It’s been so many years Kou, don’t you want to relive the old days? The good days?” Quite frankly the old days weren’t much better to they are now, things never changed much when it came to the incubus. He was always like he is, deluding himself into think that sex solved all their problems – it was really one of few things he was any good at so why wouldn’t he? Lacking the maturity to voice his feelings nicely he would much rather work around said emotions, only through his own personal way.

Maybe that was how much he thought of their relationship, considering he hadn’t really earned the girls affection but rather he had always just had it at his disposal. She was his and that was about it. Nobody could have her, she was his to own and that was how he honestly viewed their love. Ruzik was the dominating force and Kou was his follower, the incubus could do as he pleased knowing the girl would always forgive him. Perhaps unintentionally in the beginning the demon couldn’t help but play to the girls forgiving nature over time – he was her weakness, he knew it and would use it. Maybe Ruzik wasn’t ready for a relationship, clearly the demon lacked the proper understanding of what healthy communication was and never mind his constant infidelity. The incubus would never truly learn from his errors until the girl could be firm with the boy, stand up to him and finally tell Ruzik, ”No.”

”Tell you what, to show how much of a good sport I am, how about this,” He spoke up and pulled away from the rabbit-girl. ”If you can knock me down then I’ll do something for you, anything at all you name it – alright? I won’t even ask for anything in return. Not that you will knock me down, since you know I did knock you down and out this morning with only one hit, remember?” Smirking, Ruzik couldn’t help but rub it in a little to the rabbit. He wanted her to know how serious he was and maybe if he bet her then the rabbit would realize what she was missing out on.

”Oh, I saw our new mage just there. He should be out soon - he's kind-of cute.” WIth his hands still on the girl the redhead looked quite smug, for whatever reason. Maybe he was just excited to beat his teammates and prove his superiority - despite having no powers.

Cleo Gardenia

Image

Cleo perked her ears up once the Headmaster spoke though her attention only really kicked-in when her name was mentioned and it was revealed that she was to be sent on some mission tonight. Beyond that though she hadn’t paid too much attention but understood the basics, only soon after looking to her teammate, Bugby, and nudging him playfully.

”Hey, looks like if you win you get a reward that you want! You gotta win Buggie,” She purred to the green-haired boy, smiling to him for added reassurance. ”Besides it’s only girls Bugby, you ain’t gonna let some girlies beat you, eh?” It seemed that those doing the challenge were to head outside, which only forced Cleo to then turn to her mage, Ichiro, and give him a knowing look of displeasure. ”Oh my, it looks like there’s more girls on this mission so I wonder who you’ll kiss next?” Lowering her ears the feline didn’t quite know what to do with herself and this seemingly baseless aggression. Ichiro hadn’t’ done anything wrong, he didn’t want to kiss Kou – or did he? Just the thought irked Cleo and a frown quickly formed on her lips. It had been the second time today that the girl had gotten angry with her mage – the first time being earlier when he sat with those two girls, and now right after he was kissed by Kou.

As Cleo thought of it more a quiet hiss erupted from her as she sat, aiming her gaze to the front of the room. The feline could be quite childish at times, throwing huffs at a moment’s notice and all because she was jealous of others getting close to her mage. With that in mind suddenly, the girl forced herself against the side of Ichiro as she rubbed her head against his arm, quickly peering up at the blonde-boy. ”I’m sorry I didn’t mean it,” She purred, unable to remain annoyed with the mage as the girl was too weak to ignore him. Plus, if Ichiro didn’t like the way his demon was acting the boy could walk off and sit with those other girls, which Cleo didn’t want so she’d suck it up if she had to.

Without warning, the feline moved out of her set as she climbed onto Ichiro. Perching herself on his lap as she rested her head against his shoulder – in doing so making sure he couldn’t go anywhere and the girl had him all to herself for once. ”Ichi don’t go with those other girls stay here with me, don’t you like my company?” She asked quietly, flickering her ears as her eyes curiously looked to him.

Lapidus Otto

Image

Lapidus gave a few slow conforming nods to the mage with blue hair as he attempted to understand the man’s words and replicate his calm demeanor. But the boy was still a bit hyped so some occasional fidgeting occurred through as his body swayed to either side as he stood on the spot. Mikari had also nicely told the younger mage to tone down his friendliness just a little, as by his suggestion some of the other student may not take too quickly to his embracing personality. Lapidus understood this, keeping it embedded in his mind as he would try to keep a bit of self-control about him - - hopefully.

"I’ll try mah’ best Mikari." That was all he could say really with hopes of keeping true to his words, though there may be times when the boy might slip up of course. Lapidus was glad to be reassured that the man in front of him was his teacher, he had gotten it right thankfully and was happy to have this mage as his overseer. Lapidus even laughed a bit to the older mage’s jokes - - or at least he hopped they were jokes, unless this was how Mikari operated. Maybe the man was not the serious type? Perhaps, considering how he had told the boy how lucky he was to have the mage as his teacher.

Mikari had figured out that the boy was a half-breed though Lapidus had never viewed himself as that before, being ‘half’ of something, as most of the time he was always wondering whether he was a ‘full’ demon or mage or both. "I’ve learned to live with the tail ac --." Red-faced, the boy was taken by surprise when the teacher used some form of magic to life his shirt up and reveal his stomach. "Oi!" His tail was wrapped around his torso and held there by some strings of some sort, before his shirt was returned to his proper placement covering his body. It was quite weird having his tail around him as it was as Lapidus could feel it tickling him, causing a few sheepish chuckles here and there. "I-I’ll try to be on time Mikari, can’t promise tho’." He replied with a grin, though the boy knew that due to his placement at the academy he would be moved to another dorm but this time sharing with his ‘teammates’. With more people around him in the morning surely he couldn’t be late?

Shortly after Mikari transported the pair to outside of the classroom door via a vortex of some nature, though Lapidus resisted the urge to question Mikari over it as he was simple too awed at the whole experience. Quickly after the two of them entered the classroom and made their way to the front. When introductions were over Lapidus sat himself down in front of a redhead who actually matched the same red-haired figure from one of the photos on his piece of paper. ’Was that one of his teammates?’

The brief period of time the boy spent sat on his seat was relatively peaceful and he was even about to make a comment to his thought-to-be teammate when the Headmaster himself approached. With hands to the desk and a nasty glare directed at him, Lapidus almost gulped and sat up straight. "S-Sorry Sir, I-ah’ see the problem it’s just I slept-in..." The man leaned in closer and forced the boy to move his head back a little though only a little as the redhead eased up soon after, allowing Lapidus a moment to sigh in relief. The Headmaster went on to explain his task and informed him that if he needed to know anything further then he could either go to Mikari or his teammates, which was even more of a relief.

With things seeming to be over the boy began to make his move though not before he felt a warm hand touch him out of the blue, the barer of the feeling belong to the redhead who was behind him. He told the mage that he’d see him outside, was that a good thing? The figure had given him a grin, so Lapidus could only interpret his intentions as something of good banter than nothing else. "Uh, cool I-ah’ will do."

When the moment had come and gone Lapidus got to his feet and walked through the small aisle between the desks as he side-stepped by the teachers somewhat uncomfortably - - not wishing to get another warning from Headmaster as the boy hurried to the door that lead outside. But before he left the room the mage stopped suddenly and began to scratch at his chest and stomach, his tail that had been wrapped around him tickling and moving against his body. He didn’t like it, his tail was uncontrollably trying to wriggle itself about and the little flickers of fur were tickling against his flesh.

"Right-a’ these are comin’ off." He huffed and lowered his eyebrows as he put his hands under his shirt and grabbed a part of the string that binded his tail around him. With his fingers pressed against the thin material the boy closed his eyes and thought of ice, or rather the freezing of it and many more cold things of that nature. "Freeze." Lapidus whispered as small, very little tiny shards of ice crackled and formed from his fingertips and traveled along parts of the string. The whole thing was hardly noticeable bar the odd sight of Lapidus standing with his hands stuffed up his shirt, however soon enough once the frosty surface had taken over most of the string the boy gripped hard and pulled the string apart from around his body. Naturally his tail sprang loose and flung itself behind him.

The furry thing twisted and curled itself and even knocked a book or two over from a nearby table accidentally. Spinning round in panic Lapidus sheepishly laughed it off, looking to the teachers and other students hoping no one had noticed. As his tail swished about frantically the mage began to take his leave as he stepped backwards and walked out through the door, though when loosing track of his tail the mage hadn’t realized where it was until he blindly stepped on it and instantly freaked out.

"Owe!" In response to the sudden sting of pain his tail violently swished about and caused the boy to fall onto his back. Gritting his teeth he crawled and quickly straightened himself back upright before hurrying out the door and into the training area - - as he had heard it being called. Right away he spotted his group and ran over to them eagerly whilst trying to be mindful and not trip up again!

Upon approaching the pair who seemed to be in the middle of something Lapidus managed to halt himself just in time before skidding to a stop beside them, his tail flapping about excitedly as he finally got to meet his teammates. "Lapidus at your service! Eh, oh, I hope I’m-ah not intrudin’ or anything the Headmaster-guy told me to come here an’ stuff, so, you know." Baring a fanged smile he tried to be really at ease around them - not that he wasn’t but he just hoped they didn’t find him too forward or anything. It was only then that he noticed the girl had a pair of rabbit ears, hinting to him that she was actually a rabbit. "Your ears are so bouncy lookin’ but I won’t touch them or anything ‘cause that’d be really too ahead of me to do so, yeah? Anywayz I’m your new mage so it’s nice tae meet both of you. You're both really pretty."

Opting to go down the extremely polite method and hoping that he wasn't gawking at them too obviously Lapidus straightened himself before bowing to the two demons - - throwing his head over so strongly that the mage nearly toppled himself over but thankfully regained his balance quickly. "Ruzik an' Kou I wish you the best of luck, ha! I was told we have a challenge to do? Well, prepare to lose guys, aha!"

Bugby Marshall

Image

Bugby listened as the Headmaster spoke and took in his words, feeling partly relieved that he wasn’t going on the mission as he’d probably mess it up, though the thought of doing another challenge wasn’t that thrilling either. Apparently it was a ‘Knock-Down’ game which sounded simple enough, just hit the other two students down with one hit each. He could manage that, right? However the two students were girls and ones he didn’t know really, it was different going against girls he didn’t know as opposed to Cleo, who felt more familiar to him over the progress of the last day or so.

”Hey, looks like if you win you get a reward that you want! You gotta win Buggie,” He heard the feline speak to him just then, as he looked to the cat-girl and gave a sigh in response. ”Besides it’s only girls Bugby, you ain’t gonna let some girlies beat you, eh?” Bugby already looked defeated, however he guessed he’d give it a go and see how he faired. Couldn’t be too hard, right?

”I guess not, anyway I’ll see you later or whenever.” He said and got out of his seat, making his way down the classroom before leaving out the door that lead to the training area. Looking over the grounds he noticed group 4 already with the new boy with the tail who had tripped up earlier. Though shifting his stare he noticed another demon beside a tree. Was that one of his group? Probably, he vaguely remembered the girl from the previous day in class when she had given her name, and possibly ran out the room. With a shrug he made his way over to the tree that she stood beneath, though as to why she’d stand there he grew curious. Others normally stood in the sun, not the shade.

When he reached the tree Bugby stopped just a few paces from the girl, looking to her and tilting his head a little. ”I believe you are part of my group? I’m Bugby.” The boy introduced himself simply, his eyes traveling up and down the girls figure as he studied her a little. She didn’t look overly threatening, at least that was his first impression. Quite pretty too, Bugby actually thought he might win in all honesty though the thought of hurting the girl bothered him just a little, mostly due to his unfamiliarity with her. She was a stranger to him and hadn’t given the boy any reason to seek conflict with her, the demon was quite lost as to what to do with himself just then.

”A-Are you
Etelka? I think that is your name.” He asked softly, shoving his hands into his pockets as he stood. ”May I ask why you opted to stand under this tree?” The shade made things just slightly darker, and the boy wasn’t often in the shade. Perhaps he was just trying to make light conversation, for once. Though things still felt a bit awkward to him.

Laurence Snow

Laurence just gave Etelka a smile when she explained as he believed the girl and thought no more of it. Simple-mined perhaps, the boy was probably more mature in other areas as appose to some. His attention was quickly taken by the Headmaster as he spoke and explained what would be happening. The young mage was evidently surprised when his name was announced to be part of this supposedly important mission, though what it involved he didn’t know but would be briefed soon enough. Baring a grin the boy sat excitedly, maybe a little eagerly before noticing one of his demons getting up.

”Oh sure Etelka, you can leave. Tell me how you get on with your challenge later, I’d love to hear all about it especially if you win.” He smiled to her and watched the girl leave, before turning his attention over to Venom. His grin grew as he stared to the red-haired girl, before the boy raised his hand up towards her. ”Hey Venom, high-five! We’re part of the mission!” Laurence chuckled and gazed to the demon girl, though really he wasn’t expecting to receive any high-five from her, he didn’t believe that was her style but miracles could happen!

”You excited Venom? Wonder what it’s about, got any ideas? Just think we’re gonna be together on this, doesn’t that sound fun?” Maybe he was teasing her a little, knowing how slightly un-thrilled she was to be around the boy. Not that he minded, he could be a bit annoying sometimes, maybe. Laurence moved more round in his seat as he faced the girl straight on, unwavering his stare at her. ”Wonder what the other people are like who are going with us, maybe we’ll make friends along the way, haha.”

Kou had been laying in the sun, minding her own business when she suddenly felt an embrace, a head nuzzling her hair. The rabbit had a sneaking suspicion as to who it could be. Her guess was confirmed when the redhead began to speak, mumbling that he takes it back. She breathed a sigh of relief, about to say something when Ruzik mentioned that she needn't apologize for her wrongdoings. Kou twisted in his arms to look at the Incubus as he continued, anger boiling inside of her. When he finished Kou took a deep breath and smiled, "Yes Ruzik that was a desperate cry for your attention," she confirmed seeing no point in lying. "Now you now how I feel every time you run off to sleep with someone."

Kou ran her fingers down his chest, biting her lower lip before she continued. "I think it's the opposite," the rabbit said quietly. "I think you're the one who wants me." At least sexually; she was not in this relationship for benefits. Kou sighed, "but you keep hurting me Ruzik. You make promises you don't intend to keep and throw around the L word like it means nothing." Kou had never actually given anything to Ruzik aside from the occasional kiss, she had promised him and had told Ruzik if he needed to relieve his urges he could come to her but Ruzik had never taken her up on the offer. In the old days they had always been too busy slaughtering to do stuff like that and on the occasion that they had a few minutes to spare Kou normally would fall asleep.

"I'll take you up on your offer," Kou stood and brushed the grass off of her skirt. "If you knock me down you can do whatever you want to me Ruzik, but if I knock you down you have to apologize." That's all it would take for Kou to take him back, a simple apology but until she heard him utter the words I'm sorry, she would continue to refuse him. Her hands balled into fists, there was noway she was going to lose to this shark toothed incubus for a second time. "I don't recall it being one hit," Kou crossed her arms. "In fact I remember exchanging several blows before that dirty trick of yours." She would be on guard this time, just because she liked Ruzik did not mean she wasn't going to enjoy beating the stuffing out of him.

It was then that he made the comment about their new mage and Kou remembered the game she had thought up in the classroom that would hopefully drive Ruzik crazy. She turned as the new boy approached them, surprise clearly written on her face as she spotted the tail. Kou quickly wiped the expression off of her face, turning her frown into a smile. "You must be my new Master!" She threw her arms around him, attempting to channel her inner Cleo and nuzzling against the boy while shooting a sidelong glance at the incubus, this is what it feels like when you run off with those people. Oh if only Kou had mind reading abilities! "I appreciate you not acting on impulse," Kou flipped one of her ears up that had fallen when Ruzik had grabbed her. "They're extremely sensitive to touch." She took a step back and smiled, rocking on her heels. Her cheeks flushed red when he mentioned that they were pretty as the girl had not been prepared for the compliment.

"I wish you the best of luck Goshuujin-Sama." Kou winked, suddenly unable to wipe the smile off of her face.

"I appreciate you taking the time to talk to me sir," she was glad that she had expressed her concerns to him as he had been very understanding. The Headmaster seemed much less intimidating to her now and Muse considered his offer of staying here. "I think I will go." Muse said slowly, "I believe I could benefit from such an experience." She was also thinking about his offer to remove the talisman although Muse didn't know if it would make a difference since she had no idea what her abilities were. Perhaps she should have them remove it just to see? And then if Muse proved she couldn't handle it they could always put them back on?

"I've decided that I would like you to remove the talismans if you can?" Muse questioned, her tone a bit nervous. She would learn to use her body as well as her abilities to make herself a shield for Liliane. After all, what else was a demon good for? Maybe destruction and getting rid of enemies....? Muse moved back so that Memphis could speak to Midora and Mikari and went to take a seat, wondering what this was going to be like. Be good, had been the mage from the UK's branch parting words. "Oh yes, I will be very good." Muse mumbled to herself, a smile sneaking it's way onto her lips. She would become the greatest here and then work her way up the ranks.

Wait a second, what happened to a demon once they reformed themselves? Would they forever be tied down by some sort of mage? Would Muse spend the rest of her life serving Liliane? True the girl had said to think of them as friends, but really a demon-mage relationship was much more complicated.

Memphis briefly pondered over what the horned-girl had said to him and more so as to how he should approach the talisman. He had said he’d help and try to remove it though as to how he would the demon was unsure. Regardless, it was something he’d deal with more properly after the briefing when he could focus on it more, and maybe find some sort of solution to aid the girl. During this time he noticed that the other students had left the room now, so the chosen students were by themselves.

His thoughts were distracted by another voice, the barer being Hive who had appeared in the class. Looking to him the Headmaster raised a questioning brow initially, though his expression settled and the redhead took a few steps closer to the individual. "Don’t be so dramatic, and anyway you will find out shortly if you can contain your
excitement." Spinning round the demon sat himself on the edge of an unused desk, crossing his arms over as he perched one foot over the other and looked to Midora. "Mr. Kurayami, if you would begin the briefing seeing as we are alone now." Giving the mage a nod the demon silenced himself, awaiting for the briefing to begin.

Ruzik R.

Image

Ruzik listened as the girl spoke and explained her feelings to him, though his expression failed to alter into a more fitting one like it should have as the incubus failed to see what the big deal was. Rolling his eyes a little the redhead continued to listen, believing that at least he was doing something good by hearing her words through to the end.

However Ruzik wasn’t stupid, he knew his actions hurt Kou and that his lifestyle was not to her liking. But the incubus had the tendency of ignoring these issues for the sake of not weighting himself down with this burden. No, he was too free to be tied down to such things as feelings and rules when it came to a relationship. He had never really understood the whole commitment that came with two people, though granted despite wherever or whoever he went to, the incubus always returned to the rabbit in the end.

”It’s always about how you feel, isn’t it. That’s all that ever matters.” He muttered quietly and rolled his eyes, as that was the only thing he had kept hearing from Kou. Her feelings. How the incubus had hurt her, whatever he did it always was wrong, and how everything seemed to affect her. Blah, blah, blah. Perhaps that was the problem – feelings. Ruzik was never good with them even though he was very emotional, just never in a good way. His feelings for Kou were chaotic at best, muddled even which often put the redhead off from approaching her for certain things. He couldn’t get that close to someone who’s presence caused his heart so much confusion - it put him off, so strangers were often preferred over the girl.

Kou had accepted is offer which pleased the demon, especially when Kou stated that the incubus could do whatever he pleased with her. It was like the best thing ever and he wanted to win, more so as he didn’t fancy apologizing either. ”Apologize? Pfft, whatever. Though you’re going to be disappointed as I don’t plan to lose to you, rabbit.” He’d apologized many times before so why this would be any different he didn’t know, such a thing rolled off his tongue just as easily as saying he loved someone. He rarely meant it.

Their mage appeared at that moment, though this time he had a tail which really surprised Ruzik. Ignoring it for now the incubus looked to the boy, who clearly was nice enough and looking forward to their challenge. Before he could say anything however the rabbit was already over and hugging the boy, getting too close for a certain incubus’s comfort. The girl had given him a glance which only confirmed the unpleasant thoughts in his head. It was like with Ichiro only this time with their mage - which Ruzik had only just really thought about, as the mage was indeed a boy. If it had been a girl then Ruzik would have felt more at ease however the sudden addition of another male only caused him – amazingly – some anxiety. Or was it jealousy?

”Whoa, whoa! Enough of that!” Scrambling upwards he stood between the two once the rabbit had released the boy, shooting a disapproving look to Kou before eying up Lapidus. Ruzik didn’t like the thought of having competition within their group though the boy was hardly a threat, not yet at least. ”Ok, so you’re new and everything but there is one rule in this group that must be obeyed at all times. Which is simple - that thing over there is not for touching.” As he spoke Ruzik pointed to Kou, as she was that thing which should not be touched at least not by anyone other than himself. ”Anyway let’s stop wasting time and get this show on the road – I have a reward to claim once my victory has been achieved. So let’s go!”

Raising his hand forward Ruzik attempted to summon forth his weapon of choice, though due to momentarily forgetting the talisman that had been placed on him the incubus then realized that his abilities were still sealed. Not wishing to show this the demon tried to laugh it off and dropped his arm to his side, hoping that none of his teammates had noticed his disadvantage before taking a few steps back as he pondered his next course of action. Though as to how he’d win without his abilities was beyond him. As long as they didn't notice his hesitance to attack he should be good, right? Maybe he could bluff his way out of it, or at the very least just try to not fall over.

”Bring it on Lapidus, let’s see if you have what it takes to be my mage,” Cocky as ever the incubus then looked to Kou with a wide sharky-grin. ”Oh, and just try not to lose consciousness this time, bunny.” Raising his hands in front of him Ruzik motioned for the pair to approach him – surely the demon would be strong enough to with take their hits, he was Ruzik after all. Nobody could beat him.

Lapidus was a little surprised by the sudden hugging from his teammate who had pounced on him slightly, nuzzling against him which caused his cheeks to turn a sudden shade of pink which he couldn’t suppress for long. The girl’s body was soft and curvy, and it wasn’t often that Lapidus had a girl hanging from him in such a situation as he was in at that moment. "J-Just call me Lapidus, or Lapi or whatever pleases you! Master is a bit strong, haha." When their contact was broken and the girl took a step back the boy gave a sigh and tried to ease his body from the sudden encounter. His cheeks felt hot and had no doubt turned a deeper colour of red, thanks to the rabbit female.

The girl wished him luck to which he replied, "Good luck to you too, Kou." Just as he had spoken the words the red haired boy jumped up and maintained his stance between to two individuals. ’Had Lapidus done something wrong?’ Twitching his ears the boy looked to Ruzik before he stepped back slightly when the demon spoke of some rule that must be obeyed. Clearly he was referring to the rabbit girl, though as to why he was so bothered hadn’t fully grasped Lapidus.

"I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset you, I-I didn’t know." He felt a little bad for setting the demon off though Lapidus wasn’t overly bothered by it, they’d just met so things were bound to be a bit difficult whilst they meshed together as a group. Although when rethinking what the redhead had said Lapidus dropped his head to the side a little. "You know you ought to treat her with more respect, dude. She’s not a ‘thing’."

The demon seemed ready to get to it and Lapidus would obliged him. Silently watching he saw Ruzik raising a hand in, what he believed to be, preparation to summon something as Lapidus he did a similar action when bringing his kanata forward. But nothing came of it, the demon seemed unsettled and the mage began to wonder quietly within his mind. "Don’t yah’ worry shark-boy I got what it takes alright, tho’ whether you’re good enough to be mah’ demon is another thing entirely."

Baring a grin against his lips the mage gave a quick look to the rabbit girl before staring back at the redhead who was beckoning for the pair to go to him. "Well, I guess you’re going out first, huh?" Lapidus may not have known the extent of the connection between the two demons however the mage got an odd vibe from the rabbit that told him that she was ready to go for the redhead, which he would gladly allow her to do - - though his aim to come out as the winner overall was still vivid in his thoughts.

With that in mind he turned to the rabbit girl. "If yah' don't mind too much I think I'll kick this thing off, alright? I fancy my chances, heh." Standing there his tail swished happily as excitement filled his body. Lapidus was filled with a happy sensation as he was finally mingling with his teammates who, with any luck, might actually like him and accept the boy for their mage!

Taking a deep breath Lapidus then sprung forward with as much enthusiasm and speed he could muster before running dead straight at the redhead. Once approaching close enough the boy excitedly leaped upwards before throwing himself back down onto the incubus. "Bring it!"

Ruzik wasn’t overly impressed at how the strange boy thought to defend Kou, at least in a very slight sense. What was it to him how he addressed the girl? Great. Not only was the mage getting hugs from his ex but now he was feeling fond enough to support the rabbit, or whatever. Lapidus even had the confidence to state he had what it took to be his mage – did he? And he even questioned whether Ruzik was good enough to be his demon? He was certainly confident enough.

Ruzik liked that. The boy wasn’t slow in his approach and he neither shied away from a bit of fun. Oh goodie, someone to actually amuse the incubus and maybe challenge him – not that Kou didn’t, but he knew the rabbit too well and this mage was perfectly new to him in every sense. ”Bring it on then, dear mage of mine.”

As the boy dropped to him Ruzik quickly sidestepped the strike, spinning his body round as he let the mage fly past him and promptly grasped at the ever annoying tail that swished so care-freely. Nabbing it, he halted the boy mid-flight and forced his body backwards with a forceful tug, before setting the mage to his feet next to him. ”Next time don’t just run at me so carelessly, or else you might just lose that precious tail of yours.” He teased with a grin and leaned in closer to the pointy-eared boy, eying his odd little details that formed his face. The boy truly was odd in a very subtle way, which intrigued the incubus.

”Want to try that again?” Ruzik whispered, yanking the tail and forcing the boy to edge just an inch closer to the demon. ”Or will you just roll over?” Twitching his eyebrows mischievously the incubus grinned wickedly, raising a hand as he grabbed the mage by the neck and forced his head down towards the ground. Still gripping onto his tail Ruzik pulled upwards a little more on it, attempting to tip the boy over through his self-believed superior strength. ”Bow down and then bow-out mage, I’ve won this.”

The demon taunted and then applied more pressure as he forced the boys upper body downwards further, however what truly mattered was getting his back flat down against the ground – as it would please the demon to no end to see his mage laying so helplessly. ”Try and wriggle your way out of this – you’re so weak and daft I’m surprised I didn’t pin you down instantly. Now, stop resisting and drop!”

Lapidus went through a whirlwind of motions as his body lunged itself at the demon and - - without really thinking of what to do next it was no surprise that the demon glided out the way - - as the mage uncontrollably swept past the redhead and almost thought he’d land face first into the ground. But he was stopped suddenly, feeling his world spin around him as the boy was then placed upright next to his foe.

"T-That’s not what my tail’s for! Thank you very much." The mage frowned just a tad with an emerging pale pink blush - - a natural reaction whenever his tail got touched suddenly, especially so forcefully as the demon had done. Without even the chance to blink Lapidus felt his whole upper body plunged downwards towards the ground beneath him, his tail however going skyward as he felt his body tipping. ’Such a sneaky demon.’ He mused with a smile, listening as the redhead said this and that and whatnot else.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah and what else? Stop being so demon’ish for once and just chill - - we’re havin’ fun ain’t we?" Hoping to silence the demon and cease his ranting or whatever you’d call it, Lapidus went with the flow and allowed his body to ease downwards. But once reaching an appropriate level he sank his hands down into the ground and let his legs swing above his upturned body. Swaying backwards his back bent a little and he threw his legs to one side, stretching them to their furthest length before he sneaked a peek at the redhead from his view down below. "Hope yah’ don’t mind."

With a hint of laughter he brought both his feet forward with as much force as he could build up and landed them into the incubus’s forehead. Propelled backwards, Lapidus was flung in the opposite direction as his lower half bounced back down and landed him to his feet, his upper body springing forward as his view returned to its normal upright position.

Ruzik nearly gasped as he felt the force to his temple. After all that mocking the boy proved to be troublesome, as the incubus was thrown backwards and his grip on the tail was lost altogether. But, as his body was thrown backwards the redhead put a hand to the ground and propped his being upwards and over as the incubus gracefully flipped himself all the way over and landed back onto his feet. ”Nice try.”

Lapidus grinned to the demon. "I’m not kinda’ done yet." Hastily, the mage sprang into action and threw himself into the direction of the demon. Smirking, he purposely ran and then dodged the redhead as the boy moved himself round the shark-boy and hurried around in a small circle to distract him. After a few rounds Lapidus stretched his tail and aimed it for the demons wrist as it quickly curled itself round it and tightly knotted itself in place. "Here we go!"

Ruzik frowned and tried to wriggle his wrist free but to little avail. "H-Hang on a minute what are you doing!" Keeping his firm footing the incubus couldn’t even guess as to what the boy would do next.

Once the demon was caught Lapidus kicked his speed into another gear as the mage sprung himself about the small grass area as if filled with bundles of energy secretly, which was sort of true in a way. As he ran the boy then suddenly leaped into the air as he threw his head beneath his body and launched his lower half straight into the air - - his tail naturally following in suit as he catapulted the redhead with it and carried the demon round the whirlwind of air as they soared for a brief moment. Upon landing, Lapidus landed squarely on his feet and turned to look at the dragged demon on his tail.

Feeling particularly nauseous for a few moments the redhead did not look at all good, swaying a little as he seemingly landed on both feet albeit he wasn’t so sure how long he’d remain standing due to how shaky his legs felt. Actually wanting to sit down, Ruzik fought the feeling and glared to the mage. ”Right, enough.”

Spreading his hands out to balance him a little the redhead then grabbed the tail that was still wrapped round his wrist, grabbing another part of the tail with his free hand before he began to pull the mage closer to him. One tug at a time, the boy was slowly slid over to him as the incubus gave the other boy a sharky-grin. ”I-I can’t believe I-I didn’t think of it before.” He said, though the slight dizziness still bothered him from the unsuspected throw!

Baring his teeth more clearly the incubus snatched a piece of the tail and held it to his mouth, not even waiting a second longer as he bit down on the tail that had irked him so much. His sharky-teeth pierced the tail and left several marks in their place once reopening his mouth. Little spots of blood were visible against his teeth as well as the tail from where it came from. And, just to taunt the mage further the incubus then ran his tongue against his teeth and licked up the small dabbles of blood.

Lapidus froze on the spot as he stood and felt the piercing of his flesh as well as sadly witnessing it before his very eyes. ’The demon bit him!’ Noticing the blood only added pain to his already hurting wound, as the mage sucked it up and refused to cry over his beloved tail nearly becoming someone’s snack! Instead as if flipping a switch the boy’s attitude changed in seconds as he glared at the redhead.

"Drop it - - SHARK BOY." Referring to his tail that was still in the possession of the redhead, Lapidus walked right up to the demon and was almost nose-to-nose with him with a look of determination. "Don’t make me ask you again."

”What you going to do?” Ruzik replied and pushed his luck a little, hoping to get a response from the boy. ”Oh, and don’t you ever call me that again, you dog.”

Lapidus grinned and tilted his head to the side as his eyelids dropped slightly, his gaze never leaving that of the demons. Using one hand he moved it up against the redhead’s that held his tail, weaving his fingers through his before gripping his hand fully altogether. ”Let’s go, fair an’ square. Let’s see who’s stronger - - better guy wins when he pushes the weaker dude over, cool?”

Grinning, Ruzik dropped the tail with his other hand and quickly grasped hold of the boys other one, raising it until both their hands were just about eye-level with each other. ”Fine by me, but you’ll be down way before I ever will be.” With that said, the incubus used all his upper body strength and forced it against the mage as he held tightly onto his hands and tried to force the boy backwards.

The mage merely gave a quick nod before feeling the demon pushing him back a few steps, and in slight panic the boy dropped his head down and forced himself forward. Parting his legs a little Lapidus used all the energy he had left into forcing the demon back, however by appearances the pair seemed equally matched. "I-I’m gonna win! Haha!" He said with a tired breath and peered up a little to his opponent who’s hands were clasped tightly around his own.

”Like hell, just back down before I throw you down!” The demon huffed back and forced all his strength into pushing the mage back – though neither seemed to be give way to the other. The boys were so set on pinning each other that they forgot all about their third member.

Leaning back in his chair Ichiro placed his hands behind his head resting them there still not to sure what to do. The room was awkwardly quiet, though that didn't come much as a surprise because of what just transpired. Glancing over at Cleo since it sounded like she had said something, turning his head he watched just as she leaned over and gave his arm a questionable hit. "Hey, what was that for?" He said inquisitively. "What did I do?" Saying only a moment later not really sure what he did wrong. Watching as she rested her head on her arms and let out what sounded like some sort of hiss at Kou. Not being the best at reading people or even more so women.

Still taking a second to think about it, he wondered if it was because Kou kissed him, but thinking why that would make her mad. None of it seemed logical, she always acted very close with him but when looking back she kind of seemed that way with most people most of all Bugby. Looking over watching as she shifted over towards Bugby and began purring. The whole situation was so confusing it started to give him a headache. Not really sure what to think or where he stood with Kou, the kiss was oddly exhilarating and she was cute and fun to hang around, but she seemed really close with Ruzik and the two were very touchy. As well it seemed to make Cleo mad, but that was a whole different problem he would have to figure out. In the end he would just have to talk with her to figure it out.

With perfect timing the headmaster finally started talking. Just the thing he needed to take his mind off the whole thing and get down to some more exciting fun. It seemed as if he was part of the class that would be going on the special task, which was perfect as he wasn't as interested in partaking in the game they were doing next. Hopefully they would be going out and hunt someone, or maybe it would be an assassination job. Ichiro saw the school as just a training ground for lapdogs that they were preparing for dirty tasks or to grow their strength to use them later on. Either way he didn't really mind as long as it benefited him.

Ichiro knew most of the people who were going to be partaking in the special task, though most of them were either in the group that ended their earlier task in seconds or didn't participate. Which means Ichiro wasn't able to learn their powers and what sort of fighting style they had which bugged him a bit. Saying bye to Bugby as he left with the others, towards the outside training area. Cleo saying her own form of goodbye's as well, though almost instantly after throwing a look of displeasure at Ichiro. Ichiro wasn't ready when Cleo seemed to lash out at him again, this time with what seemed like real zeal. She made it fairly clear that she wasn't happy over the whole kiss incident, but Ichiro couldn't figure out why. First it wasn't his fault even more so why was it such a big deal to her. "What is going on with you, why is it such a big deal." He said in a part angry, part confused tone. "How about I save you the trouble of who because it's...... Muse, and I'll kiss whoever I want." Leaning in close and saying it in a lower voice as to make sure no one else would hear, while throwing out the only girl other than Cleo who he knew was on the special task assignment.

To frustrated to keep talking any further he propped his arm up on the desk and rested his head on his palm while looking the other way in a frustrated fashion. Shaking his head a little, Ichiro just felt done with the whole situation. After a bit he felt something soft rub against his arm, turning his head to see Cleo peering up at him. Trying his hardest to maintain a grumpy expression he caved and placed his hand on her head, giving her head a slight pat. "I know." He said in response to her apology, as he tried so hard to maintain his grumpy demeanor, though a smile peeked its way through a bit.

Completely unexpectedly Cleo maneuvered out of her desk, perching herself on his lap while resting her head against his shoulder. Ichiro tried to pout, but was completely unable to, the way she rested in his lap was all too cute. Trying to keep his gaze away, in the end he failed and gave in. Sliding his right arm behind her back and placing it so he could rub the back of her head gently. "I told you earlier if you needed me I would always be there for you. And of course I love your company you should never think otherwise. Its just sometimes I'm not sure where you and I stan...." Trailing off at the end with each bit of it getting more and more quiet to the point of it just cutting out. He wanted to be mad and he had a good reason to, he got yelled at for something he had no control over. Though when looking into her soft eyes and feeling how soft she was. Slowly he started blushing when he realized what he was thinking. "Now after we hear what are assignment entails, we are going to have to group up with the others. Can you promise you won't get mad at me for just talking to the other girls." He said with a smile in a somewhat joking manner.

Looking to the front of the classroom waiting for someone to give them their instructions. All the others who were not partaking in the special task had already left and gone towards the training field to begin their game. While the rest who had their names called for the special task sat waiting for their orders. The room was oddly quiet again it seemed, as people waited to hear what kind of task they were being assigned to do.
