Physical Description
Hanako is by all counts a rather average looking young woman. Unassuming and average in height and build and possessing a rather typical looking head of straight, black hair. Hanako would be someone to easily disappear into a crowd if it weren't for one more obvious factor; her wheelchair. Her build is lithe and light in appearance which gives the accurate portrayal of a girl who lacks much physical strength. This fact combined with her kind and friendly looking disposition give the dark-haired girl a rather unintimidating and approachable presence. Along similar lines to her average appearance, her wardrobe follows a similar style. Rarely seen in anything but her school uniform her range of outfits is quite small and generally conservative in style. You'll find few bright colors or loud patterns in her dressers nor any pieces of clothing that go anywhere near anything that could be considered even slightly risqué.

Abilties | Powers
Aegis || Hana's primary specialization of magic is the creation of solid walls of force. These creations can range in size from as small as the size of your palm to the size of a whole room. They are seemingly unaffected by gravity and nigh unmovable. The strength of these walls varies, the more mana put into them the more resilient they become, additionally the stronger the walls are made the more opaque and dark they become, blocking vision. Aside from the obvious defensive uses of such a power it can also be used to trap other individuals.
Minor Creation || Hanako also has the ability to conjure and create small, non-complex objects. This ability is for the most part useless as anything she can create is about as fragile as glass and cannot be made with very much fine detail nor intricacies.

History
Born into a family with a reputation for magery, the children of the Minami household were raised with high expectations and strict upbringings. Her family was obviously quite disappointed when Hanako was born without the use of her legs, this disability however wouldn't end up keeping her from studying magic. Among her four siblings she was the youngest so despite her best efforts she always felt she was behind her older siblings, it was a gap of experience and knowledge she would never be able to breach despite her efforts. This fact coupled with her unmoving legs lead the girl to feel quite insignificant in her family, despite this however she continued to give her all in her efforts towards becoming a more capable mage.

Things changed however when Hanako's ability to control demons began to manifest. This was a talent none of her siblings shared and was one that many mages desired. Frustrated, her parents sent her off to the Survival Kit Academy so that she could properly train this ability. This was something that Hanako was all too glad to agree to. She was exited to leave her home, excited at the prospect of a blank slate and at the prospect of meeting new people. Uncertain of what awaits her, Hanako eagerly awaits the coming days and the new life that will unfold before her in this new place.

It is almost twilight now, when the horizon is covered with a deep orange color. Yet, a long day for everyone has almost passed and to Midora, the end of today marks the beginning of a new challenge tomorrow, not only for him, but for all the new transfer students and the new teachers that had been assigned to work here in the Academy. Being a Headmaster was something that he'd never thought that he'd do in his life, but asides from him, no one is willing to take the responsibility now, which is why he has to stepped up for the role.

Slowly made his way to the main classroom, where all the new transfer students were requested to gather and wait until the Headmaster arrived to induce them about their time at the Academy. They should have began the first day of training since yesterday, yet because of that incident, it has to be delayed, but now it can be started and actually Midora felt quite good about it, though he didn't admit. Standing before the closed door, Midora took a deep breath. He has never thought that he'd stepped into this position and what's more, he hasn't prepared properly for all of this just yet, but Midora knew that he has to do this.

I've overcomed a lot of hardship in my life, so this time, I definitely have to, for everyone's sakes. With that thought, he opened the door and stepped in, gaining everyone's attention. Midora then walked towards the teacher's desk at the front. First, he looked around to see if everyone is already there or not. It seems that two students are missing. He cleared his throat and then began to speak loudly. His facial expression is still calm, cold and stoic like usual.

"Greetings, students. My name is Midora Kurayami, the newly appointed Headmaster of this Academy. Because of the incident that has happened a few days ago, we have to transfered away most of the new batch of students along with their appointed teachers. At the same time, we also received new transfer students, which are 10 individuals sitting in front of me right now. As you all have known from the introduction papers that we've given you when you arrived, you'll be divided into 4 groups and each group will consist of 1 mage and 2 demons. The group that each of you'll be in has also included in the papers."

He paused a bit to let his word sink in, and then continue, "From tomorrow, the days of training at the Academy will begin. I hope that you all will try your best and achieve good results." Midora then looked at the clock on the wall, "For now, please make your way to your dorms, where you'll rest for the day. The supervising teachers for each group shall be introduced by the first lesson tomorrow. I suggest you all try to get acquaintance with each other and don't cause any troubles. Class dismisses. Have a nice evening, everyone."

With that said, Midora moved away from the desk to the door. "Oh, and one more thing," as Midora remembered something, he turned back to the students, "all of your belongings had been sent to your rooms. You've been informed which room you'll be staying at."

After saying that, Midora turned his back and closed the door behind his back then made his way to the teachers' room, where all the newly appointed teachers are waiting for him.

Sitting at the round table in the teachers' room along with his two new collegues, Mikari tapped his finger on the table as he waited his best buddy comeback after the induction with the students. He lazily gazed outside the windows and then looked up at the clock. It almost dark by now, hope that we can get this over with so I can get some rest before tomorrow.

Staring at the scenery outside, Mikari silently let out a sigh. Though at first he was quite optimistic about this whole teacher thingy, but he has never been a teacher before. So he is somewhat nervous about this, but not much. Midora has stated that he has what it takes, but can he managed to do it well? Mikari knows that he only needed to try his best.

He then turned to his fellow demon teachers, "Dora-chin will be here any moments after his greetings with the transfer students. Are you ladies ready to find out which groups we'll be taking care of?" He asked with a smile.

A short while later, Midora arrived at the teachers' room. He gently slided the door opened and greeted his fellow teachers, who are seemingly waiting for him. He walks in and then sat in the middle of them.

"Alright then," He spoke up to the two female demons, "Asides from Mikari here, I guess that you two don't really know me just yet. Let me introduce myself again. My name is Midora Kurayami and I'm a Dark Mage. I've just got appointed to be the new Headmaster of this Academy. Hope that we'll work well together."

"Hehe, there's nothing that my little Dora-chin can't do, eh?" Mikari said jokingly.

"Anyway, I've decided which groups that each of you will be handle," Midora said as he reached out for a drawer and took out the detailed profiles of the students and handed them to his collegues, "Mikari, you'll be taking charge of group 4, Ms. Embla will be taking charge of group 1, Ms. Sarah will be group 2 and I will take group 3. Please take a look at their profiles first and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. And it seems that there was one student that went missing in Ms. Embla's group and my group also missing one but we can keep carry on without them. Hopefully there'll be some new replacements soon." But just as Mikari was about to raised his arm and ask, Midora bluntly cut in, "Not you, Mikari."

"Aw, not fair. Always so meanie." Mikari pouted then glance at the profiles of his group.

~| Kasumi Toshiko |~

(Edit: Sorry I didn't have a very good original post. I was rushed and wanted to get something in.)

Kasumi stepped out of the black car and pulled three bags out with her. The black car pulled away as K examined the front gates. She was awed briefly, but soon the felling passed and she entered the Academy.

She handed the bags to a waiting man at the front door and padded down the hall. Pulling out a crisp white note, she looked at the neat black writing. Akumu Yume and Hive were the two demons she was paired with, apparently. Hmm, Akumu. She'd heard the name before... Ah yes. The demon who trapped people in dreams. She remembered from her lessons via scrying.

Finally arriving in a classroom, she entered. Upon seeing other students sitting around, she assumed that this was the right rom and took a seat as far as she could get. No use in socializing quite yet.

"Greetings, students. My name is Midora Kurayami, the newly appointed Headmaster of this Academy."

The Headmaster's speech was short and to the point. Thankfully. K had no interest in idle chatter. She walked out with the rest of the students, not engaging in conversation or even eye contact. Sure, she'd been invited, but this school probably couldn't teach her much more. She'd learned a lot from the scryed school.

"Oh, and one more thing. All of your belongings have been sent to your rooms. You've been informed which room you'll be staying at."

She glanced at the small paper again and nodded. She hoped she wouldn't get lost. Wouldn't that be embarrassing...

She wondered briefly who her dorm-mates were, but pushed aside the thought as she entered a large dorm room. From the emptiness she assumed she was first to arrive. She took the center bunk and noticed her bags neatly near the door. She retrieved them and laid them on the soft, plain sheets.

Nothing to do but to wait, I assume... She said in her mind as she surveyed the room. Basic room, just a door off to the side that she assumed was a bathroom. She wondered when her dorm-mates would arrive. The Nightmare King and the Hive... Wouldn't this be exciting.

Who'd be taming who, she wasn't sure.

Etelka Lantos

She scanned her eyes across the classroom while waiting, most of the demons seemed oddly optimistic about this whole thing. It hadn't been a thing she had even considered until she was taken to the academy, demons who had never had a mage. The history of everyone was hardly any of her concern, she would wait for a teacher to assign a group to her and she would serve them, even if she did not respect them. Etelka wholeheartedly believed whatever mage was her knew master would be some sort of twig she would normally toy with before killing, but with the stronger mages around it was hardly a good idea to murder these students.

When the teacher came into the room she felt conflicted, the man of course commanded her absolute respect due to the sheer power he could feel from him, but that power was to the source of her confliction. The black haired headmaster gave her the same feeling of impending doom and soul crushing power her had felt from Ervin, yet it felt held back by, he felt stronger then and weaker then Ervin at the same time, this man interested her intensely. Etelka concluded to herself that would pursue her keen interest in the man as long as acceptable, but for now she had his orders to follow, go to her dorm.

Deciding now not being the time to mingle with random students Etelka made a straight course to her dorm, clearly arriving faster then her new companions. She made sure all of 'her' belongings had been taken to her new quarters, most hadn't unfortunately as many of them were trinkets that belonged to mages past their living days. Her two spare dresses and the pack of juice she had on her at the time wear neatly placed on the desk. Etelka slid out her desk chair and grabbed herself a drink, which she sat drinking in silence while staring at the door with her legs crossed and face straight.

Hanako Minami

Though the delay of the start of the academy was only a day in length it only made the wait and the anticipation more unbearable for the girl known as Hanako Minami. She was never the best with meeting new people and now she would thrust into entire school full of not just mages, but demons as well. Nervousness and excitement plagued the young woman's mind even as the day had finally dawned. Even the relatively short drive to the academy, to her new home for the next number of years, felt like an eternity.

Her eyes were glued to the windows as they drew closer and ever closer to the academy until they finally came to a gentle stop near its front gates. With a moment spent to close her eyes and inhale a deep breath in a futile attempt to calm her frayed nerves she turned herself to face the side door with her hands and awaited as her driver came around to open the door for her and help her out into her wheelchair. With a small but sincere smile of thanks she bid the man farewell and began to wheel herself passed the gates and towards the main building. With a quick search into her jacket pocket she retrieved a small piece of folded paper that contained her class designation and the names of her soon-to-be partners.

It didn't take long to find the class, and from the sound of all the chattering from within she was certainly not the first to arrive. She entered from the door towards the back of the classroom where a desk that lacked a chair was specifically prepared for her. From here she sat quietly and simply opted to observe for the time being, crowds made her uncomfortable and she was never quite the social butterfly. Some tens of minutes later the headmaster finally arrived to deliver a short introduction before urging the students to head out to find their dorms. His manner of speaking and the brevity of his introduction gave her the impression that this headmaster was a no nonsense man, a trait she thought befitting for such a position.

His words came as a bit of a relief to Hanako, the crowd of the classroom made her uneasy to begin with so she was more than happy to be free of it. Sparing no time she wheeled herself out of the class room before taking a look once more at the bit of paper from earlier to confirm her destination. A gentle tune emanated from the girls throat as she hummed and rolled through the halls of this new and unfamiliar place. It looked much like she thought it would, though she herself had never attended a normal school back home she had seen pictures. Her thoughts continued wandering aimlessly like this until she finally found herself before her dorm room door.

Hanako briefly took a second to smooth out her clothes and mentally prepare herself before reaching forward to open the door. A rather bland and uninteresting room opened up before her however the room was hardly the thing of most importance as her gaze settled upon the bored looking girl with a most peculiar shade of hair. The first thought that passed through her mind was that this girl, presumably a demon, was actually quite pretty. She quickly shook the thought away however with a blink and put on her most charming smile. "Hello there." She wasn't sure which one this girl was, as she understood it she was to have two demons in her group.

Her gaze shifted over to one of the beds in the room that had some familiar looking luggage atop it, apparently that was to be her bed. With her destination spotted she rolled herself over to the bed and with some small effort transferred herself on to the bed. She reached over to open up her luggage bag as she tried to figure out what to say next. "Um, my name's Hanako Minami, I'm the mage of our little group here. I hope we can get along and work together during our time here." It was about a normal introduction as one could imagine but, she really wasn't quite sure what else to say to the demon that sat not more than a few meters across the room from her.

Etelka Lantos

Etelka stared at the little mage girl who rolled into her dorm, the girl was entirely unassuming and dull. She made a bland introduction before wheeling herself over to asses the imported belongings. After a short delay her next message came through, her name and more exchanged pleasantries. Hanako Minami, everything about her being the one Etelka was to serve under bothered her. This mage was of course of novice, she was told to expect no less, but it must have been some sort of brave gesture from the teachers to pair this girl who couldn't even walk with a demon who had a history of murdering weaklings. She would not kill the mage, luckily enough for her, even if she had no sort of respect for Hanako, it is an order from one of higher power to serve this mage and she would follow.

Standing from her seat Etelka strode across the dorm and stood beside Hanako, she glossed over the girls belongings, then around the room. Letting out a small sigh Etelka reach past Hanako and began to grab up clothes, then walking over to the closest and hanging them neatly. "Lady Minami, that is what I shall call you," it came out casually as she worked, but was followed up before letting wheelchair girl get a word in.

"The way you said 'work together' I fear you don't understand our relationship, I am your servant, I do as you tell me to do, we are not friends." The last words came out cold and stern, Etelka stopped what she was doing and to offset her tone she turned and smiled at Hanako. Then, slowing walking towards the seated girl and leaning in close to her ear, "But that doesn't mean we can't have fun." Lowering her hand gently onto the thigh of the mage, she began to slowly raise it up along her leg, calmly sending her hand on a path up the skirt of her mistress.

✮ Bugby Marshall✮

Image

Bugby was calmly progressing towards the designated classroom as he solely strode through the hallways that all lead up to it eventually. With halfhearted eyes beamed forward and lazy steps dragged behind, the green-haired demon soon found himself stood in front of the door that offered access to the area he required. Opening it somewhat cautiously he stuck his head in first to case over the room, before sticking a boot forward and making his way further into the wide space of desks and idle students.

Quickly concluding that there was only a handful of students at best, and paying little attention to any of them at that, the demon kept to himself and walked further down the room towards a seat that was far distanced from any of the other students, or at least as far as he could manage without seeming entirely unsociable. Having settled somewhere Bugby didn’t really take the time to notice who exactly was in the room with him, preferring to stay somewhat anonymous for now until greetings were needed. However it did not take long before their headmaster soon made an appearance, of which Bugby was not so pleased about. So to say.

“Greetings, students. My name is Midora Kurayami, the newly appointed Headmaster of this Academy…” Bugby merely raised a brow in acknowledgement as the headmaster greeted the bundle of students that sat before him. His expression was bored at most as his eyes retained their ever-knowing dispirited look. Even as the teacher spoke the demon did not seem enlightened, but rather more begrudging at the mentioning of mages. As the dark-haired headmaster continued on, Bugby couldn’t help but feel an odd sense niggling away at him, something irking him ever so slightly, of which he could not set his finger on. Perhaps it was due to being stuck in a room with pesky mages and even more un-worthy demons that was getting to him just a tad, perhaps.

”For now, please make your way to your dorms, where you'll rest for the day. The supervising teachers for each group shall be introduced by the first lesson tomorrow. I suggest you all try to get acquaintance with each other and don't cause any troubles. Class dismisses. Have a nice evening, everyone.”

Bugby let out a despaired sigh as he got onto his feet shortly after. He considered much of the headmasters talk to be mere malarkey and not something he’d take overly seriously. However, the demon did accept that venturing to his dorm made some sense, and that was what exactly he would do. Turning on his heel Bugby made little effort to acquaint himself with any of his fellow peers as he side-stepped in and out of the few who got in his way. Clearly personal space was not a priority for some! Just as he was about to storm out the room the headmaster spoke yet again, catching the demons begrudged attention once more.

”Oh, and one more thing,” Bugby narrowed his stare slightly as he waited for the piece of information. ”…all of your belongings had been sent to your rooms. You've been informed which room you'll be staying at.”

With that he left the room, finally.

The demon knew soon enough he would cross paths with his fellow teammates, regardless of how much effort he’d put into not meeting them, it was inevitable all the same. Little time had seemed to pass as Bugby made his way to his dorm room, arriving soon after leaving the classroom, and immediately looking over what little belongings he had that were safely delivered to his room. As he stood beside the beds the demon could hardly care which he claimed as his own, though the top bunk was especially tempting, and with that the bored-seeming demon launched himself upwards onto the highest bed and lay against it with a heavy sigh.

All he had to do now was wait. To wait and see who would form the latter of his team. Oh joy.

Hanako blinked as she watched the girl rise up silently from where she sat and stride across the room towards her. Without saying a word she began to look through her belongings, Hana was about to ask what she was doing before she began to take the items over to a closet and hang them up. A small smile graced her lips as she watched the woman hang things up before finally speaking.

"Lady Minami, that is what I shall call you,"

Her head inclined slightly to the side at the odd manner in which she was addressed but before she could speak up to question or challenge this the demon continued.

"The way you said 'work together' I fear you don't understand our relationship, I am your servant, I do as you tell me to do, we are not friends."

The cold words came as a bit of shock to the young woman, her eyes betraying her obvious feelings of confusion at at the demon's actions and words. Her smile had faded by now as she simply sat and silently continued to watch the demon as she approached her and leaned in close.

"But that doesn't mean we can't have fun."

And with that, she felt the sensation of the demon's hand upon her thigh. She was of course shocked but she wasn't about to let herself be overwhelmed by this girl. She knew she looked weak and so she also knew she would have to prove the false, right here and right now. Tapping into her magic she quickly summoned a small wall of force around the demon's wrist to render her hand immobile before using her own hands to scoot herself a bit farther away from the woman before clearing her throat and looking her in the eye.

"I'm not sure who you think I am but I'm no 'Lady', nor your master. As I'm sure you're aware my ability to control demons is rather underdeveloped at this point in time, that's why I'm here. I couldn't control you even I wanted to, which I don't. So, with that all in mind I do believe I do understand our relationship, we're going to have to work together while we're here. If you don't wish to be friends then that is regrettable but understandable."

The girl heaved a deep breath after her little tirade of words but spoke up once more with one final piece to say. "As for this 'fun'... You could at least take me on a few dates first." With that the opaque wall of force would disappear and free the demon's hand. "Oh, and I don't believe I caught your name?" A pleasant looking smile once more formed upon Hana's lips as she looked to the demon once more.

The advance of her hand was halted by some sort of wall forming around it, then the young Lady pushed herself away and began to go on a tangent. Her first point was null and void, her Lady was new to demons and didn't understand her role in all this yet, Etelka had grown with this, this was her life up until a couple years ago. As Minami then pointed out she was a novice, Etelka scoffed to herself but keep a straight smile at the girl, the wording of the next sentence bothered her deeply. Why would she come to an academy for controlling demons if she didn't want to control them, what an odd girl. Every other mage she had ever met was immediately enthralled by the prospect of controlling Etelka, which gave her many opportunities to have sex with them, injure them, then use her power to cripple them, leading to their death.

Next on little miss tangents parade of words was saying she understood they were to work together, this directly contradicted the information Etelka had provided the Mistress by it wasn't her place to question it. Finally her tirade ended with regrettably accepting that Etelka had not wish for friendship, which was dramatically cut off Minami trying to catch her breath. Her lady mentioned going on a date before releasing Etelka from the wall, the way the word was used completely confused her, what did she mean by date in that sentence? Did she mean take her to a certain date like Tuesday? Take her to have some dates, not a food Etelka would generally love to eat. Before being able to voice any concern her name was asked for, and with complete disregard for the tangent Etelka stood up straight and answered "My apologies M'Lady, my name is Etelka Lantos, twenty-six years of age."

Cordially returning to the task of organizing her Ladies belongings she prepared to ask a question, she sputtered out noises that resembled words before raising her own hand to her mouth. Even if her new master insisted she was not her master, she was, and one never questions their master, so the confusion of whatever she meant by 'date' would have to be left alone. While not speaking for a few seconds Etelka decided it best to inform Lady Minami of where she stood on friendship, "Lady Minami, you seemed to find it regrettable that we could not be friends, I don't wish to cause you any discord of the heart so let me alleviate that feeling. Most humans tend to be turned off by the fact that I have killed many of them, around ten to be exact, I watched the life drip from their eyes as they screamed out in pain in front of me."

Etelka now stopped her task, she turned to face Hanako and smiled one of the most genuine smiles she could provide, "You are weaker then many I have killed, the only reason you are alive is because I respect the headmaster. So please Second Master, do not throw away a great mans grace, I know now to serve, not how to be friendly."

She was late; this is not how Kou had wanted to make her school debut although it was entirely her fault. Kou had spent the morning rushing to pack, excited to finally be leaving the Shrine even if it was to another place that would confine her and try to quell her abilities. Anything was better then sweeping the grounds and organizing fortune slips and so Kou made sure that everything her final duties had been performed last night before waking up only to realize she hadn't packed a single thing.

Now the Usagi stood at the gate, awfully late with her bag slung over her shoulder. Tsukuyomi had ordered her to come here to learn how to love humans, if she didn't she was going to be turned back into a rabbit and trapped on the moon once more. It was not something Kou wanted and she had promised herself that she would do her best to make peace with the kind that had eaten her family. Or at least attempt to. The demon was going to be on her best behavior and not destroy anything or go berserk without reason.

Her ears twitched, the sound of laughter flitting through the air reached her and she turned to see humans and demons walking out of a large building towards a slightly larger one. She riffled through her pockets to find a piece of paper with a few numbers scribbled on it. Fortunately the rabbit had learned to read and write a few human dialects during her time at the shrine, otherwise she would not be able to decipher the dorm number and names of her teammates.

Should she check in with the Headmaster first? No, Kou decided. Her bag was heavy and she was tired, teleporting from Miyagi Prefecture had taken a lot out of her and she could do with a snack or something before having to deal with the Head Mage. So Kou headed across the paved walkway towards what she assumed was the dorm building, using the scribbles on paper to navigate the way to her living space. She knocked on the door twice before entering, finding a demon girl with gems on her forehead and aqua colored hair as well as a human in a wheelchair. It took everything Kou had not to turn in disdain at the hideous smell that offended her nostrils. Mages always reeked, she wasn't sure why though.

"Good evening," Kou bowed, an ear flopping into her face. The demon rabbit righted herself and placed her small bag of belongings on the unclaimed bed. She had only brought about three changes of clothes, which is really all Kou owned. The rest of her things had been Shrine Maiden outfits which she would not need at the school or ever again. Hopefully. "I'm Usagi Kou, pleasure to make your acquaintance."

The sidewalk was fairly busy, but he was close enough to the Academy that it would be too easy to take a cab. With one hand he held onto the strap of his satchel slung over his shoulder while letting his other arm dangle lousily at his side. It was a fantastic day out and Ichiro was ready for the Academy. Being stuck at home for so long caused him to have an excessive amount of energy bottled up that he got out on his way here. Though he left a fair share of damages in the wake of his trail, raising his free hand he snapped and small bit's of golden particles quickly formed together to produce a small red gem. With a swift pinch it dissolved and another snap produced a golden coin.Only if their eyes were quick enough to notice my particles they wouldn't have been cheated. Thinking while he flipped the coin the air.

Finally he had arrived at the school. After a little searching he had found the classroom that he was suppose to be in. Normally he would stroll in the room fully plated out in his golden armor so that everyone would remember him, but he decided not to intimidate anyone away at first sight. It seemed as if everyone was already here, making Ichiro either the last or one of the last to arrive. After looking around the room a grin crept across his face as it seemed a lot of the other students were the reserved or laid back type. You could assume by looking at peoples body language, it's not full proof, but when someone sits keeping to them self and nervous like or head down asleep on the desk, the clues are there. Almost instantly as he sat down the headmaster came in and right away Ichiro could feel the power emanating from the man. Midora Kurayami. What a fantastic challenge you would pose in a fight, though as of now death would be assured for myself. The thought though of such a challenge is revitalizing, school may just be fun after all. With a slow grin growing on his face. Just as quickly as the headmaster came he left.

It seemed everyone was going to head to their rooms. The satchel was the only thing he had brought with him so unpacking would be simple meaning he was in no rush to get to the room. After making a few stops to check out bits of the school he had finally arrived at his groups dorm in no rush. What kind of people could be in my group I wonder, maybe if I'm lucky I will get two book smart people who I could transform into party loving brawlers. Or maybe two intense thug style characters, oh the entertainment that would provide could be endless.

After entering the room he looked left....than right.....than left again. It seemed that both his demons were already here before him. One lay on the top bunk though Ichiro couldn't get a good look at whoever it was. The other was a girl and she seemed to be talking with the person on the top bunk. "You two having fun up there. I don't know the bedding situation, but I'm taking the bottom bunk." He said without giving them a second look, throwing his satchel on the lowest bed he felt as if he was forgetting something. He took a step back and looked up again an noticed something that had slipped his mind. "Oh she has cat ears...... wait CAT EARS!" Saying the first part to himself the second half slipped out without him realizing. He stood stunned for a moment, he expected demons to come in all different looks, but it slipped his mind they could look as simple as a cat though she seemed to only have the ears from his angle. Normally he wouldn't have cared an inch how they looked, but since he was a kid Ichiro had loved Lions above all else, the golden mane, power, and title of King all made Lions the greatest creatures in his eyes and it turned into an infatuation with lions that has only gotten worse with age. Though Ichiro won't claim to be the brightest and in his eyes cat's are just mini lions so hes always had a thing for cats just on a smaller scale. His eyes were glued to her ears. Please be a lion, I would forever be in your favor oh master of the fate. He couldn't think of anything else while crossing his fingers. Ichiro had to know if she was a lion and in his mind she had to be why wouldn't you be a lion and have cat ears, that's how his mind was working, and if she was he was dead set on having her be his.

Hanako Minami

As Etelka delivered her rather grim message Hanako could only let out a small sigh as her gaze turned away from the demon woman and towards the door, this whole thing was starting to seem like it might be a bit more difficult than she had imagined. As if right on cue to interrupt the slightly awkward silence that had fallen over the room, the door opened. Who came through though could... Most accurately described as a "bunny girl".

She blinked in surprise at the sight as she watched the girl flop forward in a bow that was undeniably cute. Hanako simply watched with curiosity as she wandered over to the final bed and set her sparse belongings. It seemed neither of the demons had brought much at all with them. After setting her things down the bunny demon introduced herself in a much more friendly manner than Etelkos had. Hanako in turn smiled pleasantly at the girl and introduced herself in turn, "Nice to meet you too Kou, I'm Hanako Minami." She gestured her hand over towards the strange-haired woman nearby, "This is Etelka Lantos."

"I hope we can work together and get along in our time here Kou." With a small bit of effort she scooted herself over to the edge of the bed before transferring herself onto her wheelchair. She reached over to her luggage and quickly took out what looked to be a pair of pajamas. As she placed to clothing on her lap she spoke up as she wheeled herself over towards the bathroom. "I'll be taking a bath first, it's getting late." And with that, she disappeared beyond the bathroom door.

"Nice to meet you too Kou, I'm Hanako Minami." Her voice was quiet, like a whisper of wind that tickled her ears. If it weren't for her enhanced rabbit senses, Kou was sure she would have never heard the human speak at all. "This is Etelka Lantos." She thought it rather rude that the Mage did not allow the other Demon to introduce herself, but perhaps the other being was shy? Not that Kou cared. She sat down on the bed, surprised at how plush it was despite the fact that the mattress was so thin. It was much better then the futon Kou slept on in the shrine.

"I hope we can work together and get along in our time here Kou." Her attention turned back to the Mage who was scooting herself off of her bed and into a wheelchair. Remember what Tsu said, Kou thought and smiled, her ears standing up in mock attention as she replied with, "Me too." The only thing Kou truly wished for was a hot meal and a bath, but those things would come later seeing as how Hanako was going to be the first one to use the bathroom. Kou watched as the Mage wheeled behind the bathroom door and shut it behind her before turning to Etelka, the demon with the aqua colored hair.

"Looks like we're going to be working together for the next few months." Or however long this thing took. They might as well get any awkwardness or petty arguments out of the way as they would be partners under the command of the little Mage in the chair. Kou had nothing against people in wheelchairs, she did, however, have something against people who tried to harness her power and use it for themselves. Of course that wasn't the goal here, it was to learn to interact better with humans.

Etelka Lantos

Image

Her grim message seemed to perturb Lady Minami only slightly, the only response Etelka had received was an exhale of breath, maybe the tiny lady wasn't as pathetic as anticipated. If the two had anymore words to exchange they were forgotten at the introduction of a third, this girl was the second demon to serve the Lady it seemed. Kou Usagi, Etelka had not met many other demons in her life but none had been more captivating then herself until now, she had initial resentment as she had never met another demon she liked, but who could resent a girl so well endowed in her physical features. Etelka had only truly began to enjoy sex after the death of Ervin, but since then it was something she could never get off her mind, and it seemed be unlikely Kou would be quickly off the mind.

Her Lady had introduced Etelka for her, which while unnecessary was kind. More nonsense about working together was spouted before the Lady dismissed herself to bathe before nightfall, leaving the two demons alone with one another. The voluptuous rabbit girl spoke, "Looks like we're going to be working together for the next few months." Etelka was beginning to think Ervin was the odd one out, everyone spoke of cooperation, but perhaps that was just the words of the weak and misinformed. Even after his death Etelka would not forget his directive for her was to serve, and she would do so or she would be punished.

She finally decided to converse with the rabbit girl, although she had to restrain herself from going after those large breasts, Etelka returned to her seat. Picking up her juice pack once more, she grasped at another and tossed it to Kou, "Greetings Ms. Usagi, if we are to serve m'Lady I do hope to get along, and..." This was probably getting awkward for Kou at this point, Etelka's gaze had obviously drifted to the girls breast, and her smile had become more lustful as she licked her lips. She desperately wanted to embrace Kou, so she cleared her throat but didn't avert her gaze, "May I partake in your body, it is simply scrumptious." While not the most graceful and dignified sentence Etelka was close to the point of performing an illicit deed upon herself with lust.

Midora still sleeping peacefully with his arm rested on his forehead and his breaths are quite monotonous. Nothing seems to had troubled him as he slept. As the first lights of dawn rises along with the sun, they peeked through the frames of the windows and brighten up the whole room. The rays then shone of the bed, dancing on Midora's face as they woke him up.

Midora then sat up on his bed and stretched his arms. He scratches his slightly messed hair a bit and then looked at the clock on the wall. It's already 6:00 AM, still early, but he has to get prepare because he knows which day today is, and he also well-awared that it's going to be a long day for him, his collegues and the new transfer students. "I should get prepare." Midora said to himself as he pulled the blanket away from his lap downward then stood up and folded it nicely on the bottom of his bed.

After that, he made his way to his bathroom. He turned on the faucet and adjusted it to the right temperature and strips off his pants before immerse himself under the water streams (Well yeah, he slept half-naked, mind you). Midora closed his eyes as he felt his muscles relaxed under the heat of the bathroom before grabbed the shampoo lotion nearby and washes his hair with a small amount of the liquid.

Meanwhile, in the room next to Midora's, Mikari has just also woke up from his slumber and now he's changing into a more suitable clothes. After finished changing, he went into his bathroom while humming a melody. Somehow, he felt optimistic about all of this and was kinda excited. He then brushed his teeth then fixed his hair a bit. Great, I'm ready. Everyone better aware, cause it's time for Mikari to shine. He smirked to himself in front of the mirror and went out of his room.

With just a few steps, Mikari stood in front of his best friend's room and knocked the door. "Hey Dora-chin, rise and shine. Have you woke up yet? Can I come in?" He asked. "The door wasn't locked." Midora replied from the inside. Mikari then opened the door and stepped in. But just as he stepped in...

Mikari wouldn't have thought that he'd got an eyeful early in the morning like this. He was pretty surprised when he saw that Midora has just got out from the bathroom without wearing anything to cover his torso. Midora's hair is still wet as some drops of water streamed down on his naked skin. And another thing is that the Mage in front of Mikari right now only covered the part from his waist down by a towel hanging around his waists.

Mikari blushed as his face got a bit reddened. This wasn't the first time he saw his best friend half-naked and they're both guys so it wasn't such a big deal. It's not that he has any kinds of feeling towards Midora, but he couldn't figure out why anytime he caught this scene from any of his male friends, which included Midora, he felt quite awkward as his heartbeats got quicken.

"Hey, you're okay over there?" Midora called and pulled Mikari back to reality. "Y-Yeah, I'm good..." He bit his lips and gave a smile. Midora just leaned his head, wondering what was his friend was thinking. After putting his usual Dark Mage's uniform on, he walks towards Mikari. "Want to go and breathe some fresh air first?" Midora asked, feeling quite comfortable, but he still keeps his usual calm posture like everyday.

"Yeah, that'd be great." Mikari grinned like a child. Midora just silently shook his head as he puts on his boots and both of them made their ways towards the garden. Stepped out into the open air, Mikari sniffs and took a deep breath. The air was fresh with the atmosphere still a bit cool. The morning sunshine is still quite gentle. Today's gonna be a perfect day.

"Ah... feels good. Usually I would go jogging around town by now." Mikari said with his smile, "Hey, we can go and have some exercises when there are free times. I missed working out with you."

Midora nodded, "Sure, that's a good idea." Mikari giggled. After that, Midora walked to the rock and sat down in meditation form and Mikari also sat down on the grass. Both of them meditated for about 15 minutes and gather their thoughts. When they're done, they decided to go and have breakfast.

"Say," Mikari spoke up as they walked, "could the students wake up by themselves or there are some sort of... well, alarm clocks to wake them up?"

"Yeah, to avoid class tardiness, I've placed an alarming spell around the walls of the students' room. At the exact time, the spell will "goes off" and sent supersonic waves straight to the brains of the ones staying in those students' rooms. Because it only in their heads, it didn't make any noise to the outsiders of the room, but to them, it's going to be REAL loud."

"So, I guess that the sounds will only disappeared once they have woke up, correct?"

"Yes. Most of the newbies complained about this at first, but they'll got used to it." Midora coldly assured.

"Hehe, you're such an little wicked wizard, you know?" Mikari grinned mischiviously.

When they went through the students' quarters, Midora then abruptly stopped then looked at the time on his phone, it was 6:59 AM. "Wait for it..." he said as the clock ticked 7:00 AM. Right after that, Mikari could hear the sounds of students falling off their beds and even some yelling came out from the rooms. It was kinda hilarious to hear those sounds and he has to resist the urge of laughing out loud. "This Academy sure is fun, I don't know what else is waiting for me but I can't wait."

"Just wait and see." Midora said as put his phone back to his robe and both of them continued to walk.

After having their breakfast, Midora and Mikari went to the teachers' office and took the other two demon teachers with them. Together, four of them went to direction the classroom. Standing in front of the door, Midora turned his head and spoke to his collegues, "Remember, teach them with all of your dedication, but if they make mistake, never go easy on them and help them fix it." Then he turned back and opened the door.

With that, the four of them walked in, interrupting all the talking between the students as the room filled with complete silent. Midora stood in front of the desk and began to talked loudly.

"Good morning, all students. I believe that all of us have rested and ready for this morning. And now, I officially announce that the days of training of this year in Survival Kit Academy begin. As you all have known, within your course, you'll learn how to make yourselves better individuals. I believe that, 12 persons sitting in front of us right now will try their very best, passing your own limits and learn from your mistakes."

Midora paused then turned his head to the teachers who are standing in a horizon line, "Allow me to introduce your supervising teachers, who will be the ones to oversee and advise you. I, Midora Kurayami, Headmaster and also a Mage Teacher, will look after group 3. Standing next to me is Mikari Akigawa, a Mage Teacher and the supervising teacher of group 4. The shorter lady here is Embla Brodersson, a Demon Teacher and supervisor of group 1. And last but not least, Sarah Rayne, the Demon Teacher in charge of group 2. I hope that during your time at the Academy, you will listen and follow every advices we give, strictly follow our instructions so that you can better yourself."

After introduction, Midora paused a bit before going on with the first lesson, "As for the first day, we will have different sessions for both Mages and Demons. Four Mages of four group, please follow me and Mikari-sensei to the training room. The rest of the Demon students will learn their introduction lecture with two ladies here. Let our first day begin."

With that said, both Midora and Mikari made their ways out of the classroom. When they're outside, they waited at the other exit for the Mage Students before they head for the training room.

Kou had risen with the sun, the warm rays alerting her to presence of morning. She turned over in bed slowly and stretched, her fuzzy rabbit ears picking up the sounds the still snoozing Etelka and Hanako. The rabbit demon slid out from underneath the covers, going over to the closet and pulling out an outfit she deemed good for the first day. Kou then made her way over to the bathroom and turned on the shower, discovering that her hair was still pink from last night's encounter with Etelka. It was weird to think that someone could possibly like her, especially since Kou had never found herself especially attractive.

The rabbit shook her head to get the thought out. Today was about focusing on becoming better! She pumped her first in the air in order to psych herself and stepped under the steady stream of hot water, scrubbing until her hair turned blue once more and her fingertips were a bit wrinkled. "It feels so nice to be clean," Kou purred as she dried herself off and pulled on her clothing. When she finally went back into the room the sound of screaming and people falling echoed through the walls, surprising Kou and causing her to jump a few feet in the air. "What the-!" Kou cursed and flung open the door to their room in order to see what could possibly be causing so much excitement, but her ears weren't picking up any sound aside from the pained cries of students.

It was only about an hour later and with a full stomach that Kou sat at one of the desks in the back of the classroom. She noticed she was not the only animal demon in attendance and was actually a bit relieved although Kou couldn't tell if the demon was a kitsune or a nekomura, but figured that she would discover which soon enough. It was then that the Head Master began to speak, a man with dark hair and eyes that matched who carried himself with confidence; Kou instantly hated him.

"Good morning all students. I believe that we are all rested and ready for this morning. And now I officially announce that our training days here at the Survival Kit Academy have begun. As you all know, within your course you'll learn how to make yourselves better individuals; I believe that, the 12 persons sitting in front of us right now will each try their very best, surpassing their own limits and learning from their mistakes."

Kou listened with an expression of determination; yes the rabbit was attending the academy by force just like many other demons but that didn't mean she wasn't prepared to learn how to better herself and properly use her abilities. Kou was attempting to keep a positive attitude about it all, but it was hard when you were working with the species that devoured your family. Her attention was drawn back to Midora once more as he began to announce who would be teaching them all. Their group, Group 1, was assigned to a short but pretty instructor named Embla Brodersson. The woman was clearly a demon herself and Kou wondered how she could have possibly ended up in this position.

"As far as how the first day will work; we will have different training sessions for both Mages and Demons. The four Mages of the four groups, please follow me and Mikari-Sensei to the training room. The rest of the Demon students will receive their introductory lecture with the two ladies here. Let our first day begin!"

Kou watched as Hanako left along with the other three Mages. Her heart rate picked up a beat in excitement as she turned to face the two demon instructors, the real fun was finally about to begin!

Refraining:

Shiore sat upright in the hospital bed, humming to a playful tune he had heard a few days prior. He glanced beneath the cut out of cloth covering him, there were a few straps of gauze wrapped around his frail chest. ”Owwwww, why was that cat so high up in that tree?” Yes, out of an act of valor and bravery, the boy had attempted to become the hero in a generic scenario, where a cat was stuck in the tree. It happened when he and a few of his classmates were on their way home from school. They were in the middle of chatting about which idol was their favorite, until they waltzed into the scene. Nobody in the general vicinity was tall enough to reach the lowest branch, nor were they versed in climbing up tree trunks. Shiore, being the opportunist, seized the chance to shine. Although his friends were fully aware of his demonic origins, the boy was able to play the role of a human very well. To the extent where he was always perceived as a human of pure bloodline.

He attempted to propel himself up to the first branch, then continue to ascend the tree, save the feline damsel, and save the day. It was foolproof, well, in his mind at least. When he surged towards his target, he accidentally overshot and flew a few meters higher, where there was nothing to grab onto. His descent wasn’t too pleasant. When he awoke, belly-up, he noticed a puff of fur resting on his chest. From what his friends said, he shook the tree so much that the cat lost its balance. But, since cats always land on their feet, it managed to find a soft cushion to break its fall. Sure, he may have received a few fractured ribs, but at least he saved the cat, and had a good laugh with his schoolmates. And that was how he wound up here, examining his own wounds. When Shiore glanced up from the collar of his gown, a middle-aged woman in a nun’s attire was standing before him. Who knew death was so stealthy? ”Idiot boy!” The woman shrieked, tugging tightly on his cheek.

”I’m sorry Aunt Reeeeeeeen. But it was a kitty~” Ren exhaled and shook her head, then squeezed him closer, ”I don’t care if it was a cat, a dog, even the prime minister! You still might be partially human, and even though you are mostly a demon, you are by no means invincible! Who do you think is paying for the bill? You’re lucky you do a lot of good deeds around the town, otherwise you wouldn’t have any donors!” The woman was speaking at a frantic pace, though she couldn’t find a point to truly prove the boy wrong. He wasn’t harmed too much, and the bills were completely covered. The only downside was the amount of school days he was bound to miss. Which, at the most, was roughly two or three. ”Is this how you’ll live your last year of highschool? You know you’re going to that institution next term, right?” What’s it called…” The woman stared at the ceiling fan, tapping her chin as he tried to scrounge around for the name. It was obvious where Shiore had gotten the habit from. Survival Kit Academy. That’s it. Your enrollment has been fully covered, but are you sure you’re ready for dorming? This will be the first time you’re away from the orphanage.” The nun looked at Shiore with a worried expression, dubious thoughts floated in her eyes as they focused on the boy. Furawa was staring blankly out the window, his whitened grin wasn’t present on his face. ”We’ll see, Aunt Ren.”

Back to Reality:

Shiore woke up with a start, the book which had been resting on his chest flew onto his mattress. Yet another glimpse of his past, something here rarely referenced. He had always been a futurist, a person who moved forward and lived for tomorrow. The complete opposite of the stars he was allured by. Ren wasn’t really his aunt, just a nun who ran the orphanage. Though Shiore rarely partook in her sermons, it was nice to pop into them from time to time. The boy had lived a pretty normal life. He had his share of highschool interactions. Friendships made, bonds formed, late night and eleventh hour assignments, he was even confessed to a few times. His playful persona was desirable by some, it seemed. But of course, he had to turn people down, even though it was very uncharacteristic of him. His mind slowly departed from his dream state.

The frequency of his sharp breaths began to slow down, as air began to circulate through his lungs. The room was still dark, and the morning light hadn’t pierced the panes of glass as of yet. Rather than climbing down the bed and potentially waking up his groupmates, who were still fast asleep, he slowly eased him over the edge. With feet first and the weight of a feather, he landed without a sound or a thump. Shiore glanced back at the two, who were still immersed in their dreams. He tiptoed over to his desk and picked up his phone. His blurred vision finally focused on the screen, and he acknowledged the time in his internal clock, ”6:15 AM? Maybe the cafeteria is open?” The rummaged through his bags and produced another set of his attire, the usual black uniform which buttoned across. After a quick wash, change of apparel and the tightening of a tie and scarf, the boy was ready for class. Before he left at thirty ‘til, he stealthily made a cup of espresso, slipped a pair of magnifying glasses onto the nape of his uniform and pocketed his cellphone.

”Rise and shine should be at seven, I think? Might as well go for a walk, then treat myself to something at the cafeteria.” It was a quick trek to the cafeteria, he had some time before it was seven. And when that time finally came around, Shiore could hear screaming from the dormitory, even though he was a ways’ away. ”Wonder what’s happening? I hope Cia-Cia and Liliane aren’t having a celebratory party without me!” He pouted for a few moments, though such an occasion would seem unlikely. If anything, he would be the one to hold such an event. Instead, here he was, sipping from a travel cup and nibbling on a grilled cheese sandwich by his lonesome self. ”Never had one of these. Doesn’t seem very… Japanese.” He recalled the academy being an international school, so cultures were mixed in all cases. Shiore was listening to an electronic song, a number by an English producer. ”Anyways, I should go to class soon. This song is pretty catchy~ Cia-Cia’s homeland has some nice music.” He rose from his seat, discarded his plate and proceeded to the same classroom. Shiore could see the lights of the dorm rooms in the distance, and a few silhouettes moving frenetically. ”Jeeze, did the whole dorm throw a party? Maybe they’re happy about their new comrades?” Little did he know, that they were all in the midst of suffering and despair.

As his classmates strolled into the classroom, some appeared exhausted and shocked. The boy was sitting forward, his mouth buried into the black scarf. ”Woah. Seriously, what happened?” He sat forward in his seat when he saw Akumu finally walk in, ”Sup A-ku-mu-kun~! How’s it going, old man?” The demon sulked with what Shiore presumed were his groupmates. One was a petite young girl, with blood red retinas and a displeased expression. The other looked like he could kill a person with a lock of hair, he seemed more feral than human in complexion. Soon enough, his own teammates entered the room and took their seats. The headmaster began with his speech, which Shiore listened intently to. Still with a covered mouth, he leaned back in his seat and lowered his headphones to his neck. The man was sporting the same dignified expression from yesterday, a man of boldness and pride. When he referenced group two to their teacher, Shiore recalled the description he was given by Liliane yesterday. ”Definitely looks angelic. That’s interesting. Must be pretty fluffy~. And they don’t look fake either. Can’t think of a person who would go to such lengths to craft such genuine extensions.” After the headmaster beckoned for all of the mages and made his departure with Mikari. Shiore glanced over to Acacia, then back to their teachers. Not a lectuuuuuuuuuure.” He thought to himself in denial. The boy wasn’t too fond of lectures or prolonged speeches.

”And, class is in session. Shiore nodded, with a determined look of cheerfulness on his face.

The sound of the nearby shower spraying to life woke Haruka from her rather light sleep. It felt like she had only slept for a couple hours at most being an unfamiliar place and with the beginning of actual classes on the horizon. Fighting off her desire to just lay back down she sat up with a yawn and stretched her arms into the air. It had been some time since she ate and her stomach was not quiet in its protest of its emptiness. Her desire for a cup of hot tea was also intense, a morning ritual she had grown quite accustomed to back home, she simply hoped the cafeteria here would have some available. After Kou had left the bathroom Hanako took her turn to head in, wash her face, and get dressed.

This rather mundane task however was made quite exciting by the sudden erupting of a most disturbing sound into her mind. And it seemed she wasn't alone in experiencing it as thumps and shouts came from all the rooms around her as well. The assault was thankfully short lived leaving Hanako to simply sigh at the unpleasant experience, such things were to be expected in a magical academy. It was a relatively short trip to the cafeteria where Hanako had a light breakfast and a rather mediocre cup of tea, but it was better than nothing at least.

After rolling into their classroom Hanako took the opportunity to once again scan over the other students and demons assembled here, the diversity was quite impressive. The headmaster stepped in not long after and informed the class of their objectives for the day. Apparently she was going to be going off with the other mages and the mage instructors for some sort of training. Looking over her fellow mages Hanako couldn't help but sigh. None of them looked particularly friendly or approachable. With a shake of her head she strengthened her resolve, she had to give it a shot, and who knows? Maybe they were actually be nice under their rougher exteriors.

And so, putting on her best smile she rolled herself behind the teachers and the other mages curious as to what their first exercise would involve. Whatever it was, Hanako was confident she could handle it after the rigorous schooling she went through daily back at home.

Cleo Gardenia

”Oh my freakin’head!” Cleo cried out of the blue suddenly, hands tugging wildly onto her furry ears as she desperately wished for the noise to stop. It came out of nowhere, and never seemed to end as the feline hissed angrily at no one. ”I will be good I promise, oh dear lords above!” Falling out of bed without her usual grace the girl hit the ground with a thud, thankfully landing on her backside as appose to her dainty face, though her hands were still gripped to the ends of her ears as the ruckus continued for a short while after.

Scrambling to her feet Cleo quickly released her ears, feeling a slight twinge after doing so due to her tight grip, and proceeded to run her fingers through her hair in a bid to make it look more presentable. Brushing down her clothes the girl could hardly do much else, believing she was running late or something along those lines at least, given her very, very rude awakening. Surely her teammates could hear it? They would soon enough, she amusingly thought. ”Guys, we don’t want to be late! I’ll catch you at class!” She called as she hurried out through the door, whether the boys heard would surely be proven later, when she’d next meet them.

That was if she too wasn’t late.

Some time later Cleo eventually arrived at the classroom, panting as she did so before opening the door and sliding into the classroom. So far there were only a few students, though more were quickly pouring in – thankfully. The feline joined the students and quickly headed into the room and took a seat towards the front surprisingly, not really a preference, but she did all the same for whatever reason. It wans’t long after settling into her new seat that the Headmaster arrived with a group of teachers.

“Good morning, all students. I believe that all of us have rested and ready for this morning...” As the man began to speak Cleo could already feel her sleepiness sinking in as his words went on, and on, and on. It wasn’t like she disliked him – she didn’t know him. However, that sharp awakening was not easily forgotten, and the feline just knew he was behind it. However, instantly a pair of fluffy white ears perked upright at the mentioning a particular sentence.

"I, Midora Kurayami, Headmaster and also a Mage Teacher, will look after group 3..."

Raising her head with a daunting look the feline could not believe what she was hearing. ”Oh crap he’s in charge of our group,” She whispered to herself, whining ever so quietly as her ears lowered just a little. ”…Am I being punished already? Pfft.”

”As for the first day, we will have different sessions for both Mages and Demons. Four Mages of four group, please follow me and Mikari-sensei to the training room. The rest of the Demon students will learn their introduction lecture with two ladies here. Let our first day begin.” Cleo watched as the mages began to leave with the two teachers, keeping an eye out for Ichiro before her attention shifed to the two demon teachers in charge of the rest of them. A slight smirk edged it’s way onto her lips as she began to wonder what their first class could be. Just then, she redirected her eyes and quickly scanned the room and got a better look at the other demons in her class – a few slightly intimidating whereas others were perhaps a bit too cute – and there was even a rabbit demon to her surprise, and a familiar face too but she’d leave it for later. Quickly though, she turned and looked to Bugby.

”Psst... These losers ain't got nothin' on us. We’re gonna have real fun, huh?” She could only hope no one misinterpreted that as a challenge. Not that she'd mind. That hellish wake-up call had already set her mood in motion. To pass the time the girl opted to lick the side of her hand and brush it softly against one of her ears, letting out a playful purr as she did so.

Etelka Lantos

Image

Bad habits eventually have bad outcomes, and with a curfew set in place Etelka did not get a lot of sleep. When she had finally decided to venture out of the castle for the first time the sun did not agree with her eyes, and has never since, twenty plus years of darkness does that. As such she made a habit of traveling during night and hiding and sleeping during the day. This is why now at 7:00 am Etelka was rudely awoken by a terrible screech in her ears after only an hour or two of sleep. The sound caused an ache in her head that quickly went away, and from her perch looking over the side of the bed she saw Ms. Kou scouting the hallways for the sounds source.

No matter how rested she felt, which was negative amounts, Etelka had precious little time to prepare for class. It seemed her Mistress had already departed from the room so she had little to worry about in terms of tending to her whims, and that also meant the bathroom was most certainly available. She cleaned herself, dried herself, and then put on her dress in time to make it to class on time, although on an empty stomach. Etelka payed little mind on the position of her seat other then to avoid the side of the room near windows, she was exhausted and mostly just wanted to rest her eyes until it was time to 'learn'.

Of course she didn't get to rest long before the Headmaster arrived and addressed the students. It was mostly endless rabble Etelka barely cared to acknowledge, but eventually the demons were segregated from the mages and the two demon teachers were left to stare at their class. Etelka was not excited about this current classroom, she didn't even care to acknowledge her classmates existence, other demons would just either turn her on or annoy her. Adjusting herself to have good posture she kept her gaze on the teachers out front, hers was apparently the one with the creepy furred appendages, not that she liked the 'angel' wings any better.

Both of them bored her immensely, the one called Embla was down right unattractive to her and gave off no aura of particular power, and Ms. 'Angel' was also unexciting to look at and plain. Neither of them looked particularly strong and she was tempted to stare at their eyes and chomp on lip just to she what emotion would expand, but no that wasn't how to treat ones 'superiors', so she decided to simply wait for the lesson to start.

✮ Bugby Marshal✮

Despite having what could have been described as a peaceful sleep, it was a-shame that his awakening could not have been just as nice. Bugby woke up with a banging headache of some sort, or at least he first believed this to be the case, until he realized the difference. With both hands placed on either side of his head the demon grumbled a few choice words on the matter before opening his eyes, realizing that Cleo was the first to awake out of the three, surprisingly, in his opinion.

”Guys, we don’t want to be late! I’ll catch you guys at class!”

Taking a moment to acknowledge her words, the green-haired boy merely watched as the feline demon rushed out the door as quickly as she did. ”…Goodbye then.” He said with a blink, still vaguely hearing the ringing from his early wake-up call. Swinging his legs over the demon hopped down to the ground, running a hand lazily through his hair as he shifted himself into the bathroom. Bugby simply splashed some water onto his face, rubbing his eyes and finally snapping into reality.

”I suppose we best get this thing over with,” He sighed half-heartedly, somewhat un-enthusiastically, before returning to the bedroom area and looking to the blonde-haired mage. ”Best not be late to our first class – lets go.” He waited a few minutes, ensuring he had everything he needed, before leaving the room altogether and letting Ichiro catch up in his own time.

Eventually Bugby reached the classroom and made his way inside, soon spotting Cleo towards the front, and taking the seat next to her as they waited for their mage to join them soon after. Not long later, the Headmaster entered the room and began to address the students.

"Allow me to introduce your supervising teachers, who will be the ones to oversee and advise you.

Bugby merely shrugged at the news. He was neither overly pleased nor excited about what was to come for the students, though he did have some interested, it wasn’t much. The remainder of the mans words dind’t reach Bugby much, and yet, similar to his teammate, he also could not believe their luck of having the Headmaster as their group advisor. Were they that unlucky?

”Oh crap he’s in charge of our group,”

The demon sighed with a nod, clearly sharing the same disbelief as the girl. ”Looks like it. Better get use to the idea.”

"As for the first day, we will have different sessions for both Mages and Demons. Four Mages of four group, please follow me and Mikari-sensei to the training room. The rest of the Demon students will learn their introduction lecture with two ladies here. Let our first day begin."

”Oh good-y.” He sulked, biting his lower lip in slight boredom. As the Headmaster took his leave with another teacher, Bugby watched as the few mages of the class left also, leaving the rest of the demons to sit. Along with Cleo, he too grasped a moment to eye up his class and see the individuals who would be his peers. His attention was broken though, when Cleo beckoned him.

"Psst... These losers ain't got nothin' on us. We’re gonna have real fun, huh?"

He offered a nod of agreement, along with a slight grin towards the girl. ”Oh, of course. Just do not do anything too crazy, it is only our first day.” Sitting back in his chair the green-haired demon paid little attention to the other students, only shifting his stare between Cleo and the two demon teachers.

Acacia Lance
Image

Dreams were not something Acacia was accustomed to. They'd float around in her mind a few seconds after she awoke, but they'd also disappear just as quickly. She probably woke up around the same time as Shiore, but she had stayed in her bed, staring at the bunk above her. She wanted to dream. Well, that wasn't entirely accurate. She did dream, but she never remembered those dreams. Sometimes, she wondered what she dreamed about. Her biological parents maybe? She shook her head and sat up, deducing that several minutes had already passed. Shiore had left and she could barely make out Liliane's soft breathing. Whether or not the mage was actually awake, she wasn't sure. Even so, she didn't want to bother her.

She quietly got out of her bed and straightened out the skirt of her nightgown. Comfortable as they were, they almost always ended up crooked. The smell of Shiore's coffee still lingered in the air as she rummaged through one of her two suitcases and withdrew a simple dress. She changed in the bathroom, checking her phone every few minutes. Honestly, she had no idea what the time difference between England and Japan were. As she brushed her hair, she hummed a lullaby under her breath. It was a song she'd known her entire life, but one she did not know the orgin was, as strange as it seemed.

A quick stop at the cafeteria led to Acacia enjoying a scone and then she was in the classroom, seconds before class actually started. She sat down a little bit of distance from Shiore, already feeling out of place among the other students. When she mages and Liliane left, she felt even more alone. She glanced at her blue-haired companion for some comfort. She was someone who needed comfort.

When the Mages have gathered, Midora took a quick glance at them. Just by the look, he can already give them a quick judge. All of them hold their own potentials. Although they came from different places with different backgrounds and that they came here with different purposes, he knows that it is his and Mikari's job to teach them all that they needed to know. Some of them have already got a good hold with their magic and some needed to be trained, but they all had a certain flaws that will be fixed during their time training here. Midora then turned to look at the Mage of his group for a while. It seems he was exactly like what I read from his profile yesterday, but we shall see.

"Although Dora-sensei here has already said a little about me and my name earlier but allow me to introduce myself again." Mikari said to the students with his usual smile, "I'm Mikari Akigawa, master of Dark Magic like our Headmaster here and a newly appointed Mage Teacher of this Academy. You can address me as Mika-sensei, Mr. Mikari or something like that, just don't cross the line. Hope that you all will have a wonderful time here at the Academy." Then he turned to the Mage of the group that he was going to supervise, "Especially you, Ms. Toshiko. Remember that I will keep my eyes on you."

"As for me, I will go as the same like him." Midora continued, "So, I take it as you all enjoy the little awakening earlier? I hope you will, because that's a part of everyday routine. Now let's go, we will induce about our lesson today more at the training room."

With that said both Midora and Mikari began to walk and led the students to their destination. As they were walking, Mikari poked Midora, "Hey, have you changed your shampoo lately?" He said as he took a sniff at his friend's hair, "Yep, there's no doubt about it. Though this one doesn't smell bad, I still prefer the previous one more."

Midora turned and gave Mikari a glare, "What the hell are you doing? We're walking in front of the students. And it's not a good time for jokes. Pay attention to when and where, will you?" He said with a low tone, almost as if he was murmured. It's not like that he mind if that was Mikari, but at least he has to keep his image in front of the students. But no matter what, he knew that Mikari just wouldn't care, because that's how Mikari like.

"Aw, come on. Don't be so serious like that; I'm sure they wouldn't like it if you're keeping making that face. I'm quite sure that they wouldn't really mind." Mikari said with a grin as he pushed his elbow on Midora's arm. Midora just simply gave a 'Tch' and turned his head away. Mikari giggled. I just want you to be the person that you used to be before, but I guess it wasn't me who will help you with that. Hopefully one day there will be someone who will pull you out from that darkness, Dora-chin.

After a while walking, they finally made it. Standing in front of a huge door, Midora waved his hand as it glows a purple-ish sheen and unlocked it. As the door opened itself, both of the Teachers walked in along with the students. Midora flicked off as the veils that covered all the windows unveiled themselves and let the light get in, brighten up the whole room. The training room was very spacious and fully-equipped with many facilities that required for both physical and magic training. Though the most notable points are that there's a duel ground on the right of the room and four big, dark pillars at the end of the room.

"Do the introduction, Mii. I'll go and prepare." Midora said. Mikari then nodded and the Headmaster went and prepares the tools for their first session. Mikari then turned to the students, "Well then. From your profiles that were sent when you enrolled, I know you all have different backgrounds with different strength. But you all have your own potentials, which is why you're here so that you can learn how to make good uses of them. During your time here, we will teach you everything you needed to know about magic, from basic to advance." Mikari lectured, "First, what is the true definition of magic? If we explain it in a scientific way, magic is a supernatural ability that a part of humanity possessed when they're born. Humans with such ability are able to control 100% of their brains and their nerve systems, which allows them to be able to control the forces of nature around them. But to put it in a more simple way, magic is the source of all Mages' power from both our bodies and our souls. Without it, Mages cannot survive. Magic has many types, which can be ranged from the simple spells that every Mages should be able to control..." Mikari said as he waved his index finger and some experiment rocks on a table nearby floated telekinetically, "...to the more complex spells which involve with the elements around us." This time, Mikari said as he swung his arm and darkness covered the whole room.

With just a clap, the lights then returned to the room. Mikari then continued, "Seven basic elements - Earth, Water, Air, Fire, Light, Dark and Ether, are the main sources for all of our magic. Each of us Mages have a special element that will decide the features of our abilities. For example, if you has the ability to conjure items, then your element is Earth or Air, depends on how you train to use it in your life. If we put them on a scale, then the easiest and the most common elemental source for Mages' unique abilities is Air, while the most complex and hardest are Dark and Ether, which explains why the gift of controlling Dark Magic and Celestial Magic - magic that based on the Ether element, are very rare."

"Okay, that is enough for our lesson about magic. Now we're going to practical lessons." He said as he turned to the pillars in front of them, "These pillars were made from pure Dark Matter by one of the founders of this Academy. Long time ago, they were made to strengthen the school's structure because of their regenerative ability. So even if these pillars were destroyed to pieces, they will just regain after a short while." Mikari paused a bit to let his word sink in then continue, "Now, because we've found another ways to keep hold of the school's structure, these things aren't being used for that purpose anymore, but we still can use it as a mean to test the strength of the students. This is also why we took you here today."

After that, Midora walked to them and handed to each of the student and Mikari medium-length staffs with red crystals at the top of the staffs. "These are our special training staffs. As you all may have known, the process of performing our own abilities is like this. First, we synchronize our magic energy, or mana, into the first stage known as 'raw magic'. After we've gather enough raw magic, we'll be able to cast the spell. Base on this, we can check how strong a Mage is with high accuracy. However, raw magic don't have any shape and can't be seen or felt because the process often happen quick, we can use these staffs. They will absorb your raw magic into the red crystal on the top and release it in the shape of a beam that can deal damages depend on the strength of the Mage. Mikari-sensei will make an example. Go on, Mii."

Mikari nodded as he closed his eyes and cleared his mind, aim the staff at a pillar in front of him. As he cast a spell, the crystal began to shine as it absorbed his raw magic and launched a beam towards the pillar. As the beam hit, it causes an explosion that totally destroy the pillar. Looking at his result, Mikari smirked victoriously. That was just a taste. Like what he said earlier, the small pieces of the pillar, although were scattered, quickly made their way back to where the pillar stands and soon it returned to its normal state before Mikari destroy it.

"Okay, now is your turn. Each of you will now stand in front of a pillar. Focusing your energy and pour them into your staff and then release it towards your pillar. But remember, Dark Matter is one of the most indestructible substances in existence so it's likely that you can't totally destroy them like Mikari-sensei at your current strength yet. But I will make judgements depend on your mana radiation and the damages that you've done. Good luck." Midora said.

With that said, both of the Teachers stepped back and observe the Mages.

"Although Dora-sensei here has already said a little about me and my name earlier but allow me to introduce myself again." Then he turned to the Mage of the group that he was going to supervise, "Especially you, Ms. Toshiko. Remember that I will keep my eyes on you." K's eyes widened a little bit, remembering that her teacher was also her supervisor. Crap...

"As for me, I will go as the same like him. So, I take it as you all enjoy the little awakening earlier? I hope you will, because that's a part of everyday routine. Now let's go, we will induce about our lesson today more at the training room."

K followed the teachers as they led the group through the academy. Despite everything, good and bad, she was actually warming up to this place. A great feat indeed. She gazed around at all of the details. As her neutral mood improved, her tough exterior melted away to reveal an almost childlike curiosity.

They finally reached the classroom and K wondered what they were going to teach her. She had watched the teachers whispering, and it seemed that Mikari was very lighthearted and a bit playful, where the Headmaster had a more serious mask.

"Well then. From your profiles that were sent when you enrolled, I know you all have different backgrounds with different strength. But you all have your own potentials, which is why you're here so that you can learn how to make good uses of them. "...to the more complex spells which involve with the elements around us." Darkness blanketed the room, enveloping K in folds of night.

With just a clap, the lights then returned to the room. Mikari then continued, "Seven basic elements - Earth, Water, Air, Fire, Light, Dark and Ether, are the main sources for all of our magic. "Okay, that is enough for our lesson about magic. Now we're going to practical lessons."
K turned to see the dark pillars she'd noticed at first and wondered what they were made of. Luckily, her question was instantly answered. "These pillars were made from pure Dark Matter by one of the founders of this Academy. Long time ago, they were made to strengthen the school's structure because of their regenerative ability. So even if these pillars were destroyed to pieces, they will just regain after a short while. Now, because we've found another ways to keep hold of the school's structure, these things aren't being used for that purpose anymore, but we still can use it as a mean to test the strength of the students. Go on, Mii."

Looking at her staff, she smiled briefly. The crystal was about the same color as her magic- a bloody scarlet hue. She examined it briefly. The crystal was actually quite pretty, like a ruby of some sort. She wondered if it contained magical energy. She watched as Mikari used his, maybe there was a trick.

K watched her supervisor close his eyes and nod. He pointed the staff at the midnight-coloured pillar and sent a bolt of magic straight at it, shattering it completely. K was amazed, frankly; she'd never seen a mage quite that proficient in magic work before. The pillar reformed as the Headmaster had promised. She knew that wasn't Mikari's full power, she could sense it somehow. He was almost... holding back?

"Okay, now is your turn. Each of you will now stand in front of a pillar. Focusing your energy and pour them into your staff and then release it towards your pillar. But remember, Dark Matter is one of the most indestructible substances in existence so it's likely that you can't totally destroy them like Mikari-sensei at your current strength yet. But I will make judgments depend on your mana radiation and the damages that you've done. Good luck."

She didn't want to go first, but shrugged and stepped forward. She readied herself mentally and closed her eyes. Raw magic...? What element could she possibly have? The only one she could even imagine was Dark, but after seeing her teachers, it was highly unlikely. K pointed her staff at the pillar and conjured up what she assumed was raw magic. It poured out of the staff and she heard cracking, but didn't dare look. Had she passed?

She felt a faint tickling sensation on her face. Her crimson eyes flashed open and she remembered why she never used her raw magic. As the gorgeous tattoo-like marks blossomed across her face, she internally panicked. The Curse... how far would it go?

The red flowers bloomed into a pretty image... or it would have been, if it wasn't so dangerous. She could feel her magic thrashing around, and it seemed like it was trying to escape. She held her hand up to the flower and could sense the power running the lines. Quickly pulling her hand away, she tried to hold down the magic. She was terrified- of the Curse, but also what she would do if it took control.

Her energy ebbed; she could feel the pulsating as the Curse sent ripples of her own magic through the ground in a circle around her. It was rather nauseating, feeling some otherworldly force take control of her own body. It was rather what she imagined a possession to be like. She was extremely vulnerable at this Academy, she realized. Any demon that had powers of possession on any level could probably take control of her body for a short amount of time.

As she tried to keep the Curse from completely annihilating everything and everyone, K knew that every single mask she'd worn was fading. The other mages could all see her vulnerability. Almost two thousand years old, still looked like a child. Almost two thousand years of magical interaction and she was completely destroyed by a stray Curse... it wasn't even hers. She'd taken it instead.

Her vision swirled and she knew she'd failed. She only hoped they were safe... anything could happen to her, but nothing to them... It seemed like an eternity, but it was only a few moments before she was taken over.

K was glad she was unconscious by the time she hit the floor.

Ichiro awoke to the most annoying alarm he had ever hear before. Grabbing his pillow and holding it over his face and ears trying to block out any sound. I didn't surprise him that it had no effect, it seemed as if he was still on a reverse sleep cycle from all the nights of partying he did on his way here. ”Guys, we don’t want to be late! I’ll catch you at class!” Cleo bolted out of the room. That reminded him that they did indeed have class this morning. He tried to get out of bed, but all he did was rollover once and get closer to the edge. With Cleo gone it was only himself and Bugby and right as he was about to call out to Bugby to stay here and be late with him Bugby was already leaving. ”Best not be late to our first class – lets go.” Though Ichiro still sat in bed, he could hear Bugby doing something until the room was quiet again. "It's seven in the morning, who wakes up at seven in the morning." He yelled into his pillow before throwing it across the room.

Ichiro dragged himself out of bed as golden particles flew around him and his pajama pants changed into jeans and a black shirt and white jacked formed around his torso. It didn't take to long, but he grabbed a quick snack still a little annoyed at the early morning wake up call. Finishing the bare minimum requirements for him to get his day started he started walking over to class. Now he didn't care if he was late at all, but right when he put his hand on the door he could see the headmaster enter his view. Instantly chills went down his back, the good kind though, the kind you get when you are so excited you can barely contain it.

Opening the door and walking in right away. For sure the last student who was going to enter the room he sat down with the headmaster entering almost right behind him. The headmaster began talking and introducing the other teachers, but one sentence almost knocked Ichiro out of his seat. "I, Midora Kurayami, Headmaster and also a Mage Teacher, will look after group 3." After hearing that he would be leading one of the groups Ichiro would accept none other then the headmaster himself teaching him and that's exactly what he would get. His foot was tapping at an excessive rate while the widest grin could be seen on his face. It took all his power, but he had to contain himself just for a little bit no point in spoiling all the fun right away.

The demons and mages would train separately for today at least which made him a little sad since he couldn't see what his other class mates could do. Still he was satisfied enough training with the headmaster and testing the limits of his fellow mages. Getting up with the others and following the rest of the mages out of the room and to wherever they were going to have lessons. As he left though he had to take a look around the room to see who would entertain him for now. Glancing at Bugby and Cleo he would see what they were made of later which was good enough for him. With only three other guys who all seemed to be demons and the rest being girls. No one looked particularly special, but he knew better then anyone you can't judge someone on their appearance. Though one person did catch his eye as he was leaving the room it seemed as if one of the girls in the class had bunny ears it took a glance to confirm it. That reminded him of someone else who seemed to have animal like qualities. He would have to dive deeper into that later now he had to focus on having fun with his new toys.

It seemed the other mages were all girls. With his entire class almost all female and holding some sort of power hidden away it was almost like a fantasy come true. Adding another objective to his plans for entertainment he was dead set on having all the fun he could here before being done with it. As they left the class he looked close at the others to size them up in a way, but without glaring or being to obvious. The first one was a girl in a wheelchair who looked to soft to be here. I'll have to act quick if I want to have any fun with her since she won't last long here. He thought to himself while looking over at the next mage she didn't stand out to much with nothing to give him any discernible ideas about her. The last who seemed child like which meant either she was powerful enough to come here at that age or she isn't what she seems. Either way he would make this enjoyable though maybe only for himself.

Before he even noticed they were at the training room. This is where the magic will happen I can't wait to see what everyone's got. That feeling quickly washed away when the teacher who introduced himself as Mikari began to lecture them all. Lectures were one of the things Ichiro was bad with, preferring to just fight and learn in the moment then hear someone preach about studies and learning. Though surprisingly since he normally doesn't get angry at anything, he got slightly agitated to hear that his magic revolved around the easiest and most common elements. When working with his magic in the past he found it quite hard to work with at time. His hand clinched into a fist I'll show them rare magic I'll be using Dark and Ether magic in no time. Though he had no idea what Ether magic was at all, it was a good thing he wasn't saying his thoughts aloud.

He took the staff and looked it up and down listening to the rest of what Mikari said. Though as he talked more and more about raw magic and synchronize mana Ichiro's head started to get tangled up. Why does any of this matter, he who lands the hardest blow wins right? Snapping back as Mikari said "we can check how strong a Mage is with high accuracy." This grabbed his attention as he was finally ready to show how strong he was.

After he was finished talking Ichiro walked over to one of the pillars as instructed and raised his staff ready to massacre the pillar. I'll destroy this pillar so badly nothing will be left to reform. Pointing the staff at the pillar with a look of excitement he started to cast a spell. His crystal shined bright and time seemed to slow down for Ichiro as he examined every part of what would clearly be his defining moment. And it went, a beam was sent from his staff, time moved in slow motion for him as it seemed the beam was sizable smaller then the headmasters. Ichiro's excited and cocky look started to look grim as the beam struck the pillar. No explosion no shattering of the pillar to oblivion, only a smalls spark that broke a fragment of the pillar off leaving small cracks that were about a penny sized divot. It reformed in the blink of an eye, but Ichiro was already defeated in his mind. Time seemingly froze and his attitude dropped as his face became horrified. All the power he thought he had was minuscule if nothing it seemed in his mind now. Time roared back to life as his face turned to that of anger as he launched a rapid volley of blasts one after another all with the same effect.

Their had to be a reason his strikes seemed powerless or maybe it had some secret meaning that the teachers were looking for. Still it didn't matter he already felt as if the whole world he had built around himself had crumbled into obscurity. Remembering others were in the area he quickly snapped back and put a fake smile on while turning to the headmaster. "I'm pretty sure my staff is broken it doesn't seem to be firing completely. If their are not anymore I would be happy to show you my power in another fashion maybe a dual?" Saying with a forced smile as he scrambled to put his broken mind back together. Though he was extremely glad when one of the other mages fainted he hoped it would draw attention away from himself.
