Full Name:
William Ryker

Nickname:
Ryker

Gender:
Male

Age:
31

Crush?:

Mate?:

Pack:
Stiprus

Role in Pack:
Sentinel

Personality:
Ryker is, at times, an unpleasant, egotistical bastard, and that when he's in a good mood. He does have a soft spot for the weak and the underdogs, but he would argue that it's only because he loves a challenge. It usually takes him awhile to warm up to you, but once he has your back, you never need to look behind you. He sees himself as a guardian and protector of his loved ones. He loves a good joke (usually at the expense of his enemies), and is often staring into the horizon, looking for a possible ambush or lost in deep thought.
Image
Likes:
Quiet nights
Fresh fallen snow
Rabbit meat
Chasing rabbits
Long naps

Dislikes:
Coyotes
Over aggressive Assholes.
Thunder Storms
Country music
Competition

Other:
Born into pack in the Colorado area, Ryker was the younger brother of the alpha, a kind soul and trusting leader, whom Ryker admired and loved. The young sifter quickly found his place in the pack as the beta, and right hand of the brother. For many years they lived in peace in the mountains, until something happened that wiped-out the all of his family. For a long time Ryker wondered the wilderness alone, going from territory to territory not really settling down until he hunted with the Striprus.

Ryker

Come...now....we must hunt. The voice echoed in Rykers head like a distant memory. He opened his eyes slowly, but he didn't bother to get up. The new alpha, Leon, was calling him. He was calling for all the members; how inconvenient. Ryker got up with a bit of resistance from his aging bones, he was traveling with a younger pack, younger than him at least, and he was not the hunter he used to be. As he trotted along towards the rest of the pack not too far away, he contemplated on if this was the pack he was going to die for. I liked leprechauns before they were cool Ryker snapped out of his depressing thoughts. What the... he laughed. This pack is definitely going to be the death of him.

Now more alert, Ryker glanced at the treeline, sniffing the air and twitching his ears in every direction. Paranoia often strikes his mind, but it is what he credits it to his survival. Old, Paranoid, and grumpy, Ryker laughed at himself almost out loud as he continued. The winds stirred around Ryker giving him some energy for the hunt.

Ryker arrived just in time to hear Leon speak. He listened and kept quiet; a hunt in the rain will be fun, if not dangerous. He watched as the alpha ran off towards the sent of an elk. The old dog grinned, and followed his leader.

Women assemble on the right... Men on the left.

Ryker didn't like to compete, but the alphas orders were clear. If nothing else the leader spoke the part, not afraid to give orders. Leon was the third alpha Ryker served under since his brother, but none of the others seemed to actually care about the pack, they just made sure that the rest of the group knew who was in charge. This subtle difference ment the world to Ryker, and reminded him what a family really was.

trying to keep himself focused at the task at hand, Ryker scanned the tree lines one more time as he fell in line. the scent was coming from the east, but that could be because the strong wind. he was looking for any physical evidence on the trees, elk were big and clumsy but even they can smell a pack of wolves from up wind. Ryker didn't catch much big game when he was alone, never fast enough, but he did learn to track and his prey rather well. He closed his eyes and listened to the forest, the leaves, the birds, the elk; they were all getting ready for the rain, if it doesn't come tonight the it will be here tomorrow.

Now that we're done flirting, can we please kill something? Ryker said to Daniel as he shot him a serious look. the old sentinel was beginning to wonder if everything was a game to the younger scout. He regretted his words almost instantly; too harsh on the younger ones, let them have their fun. But Ryker did not apologize for it, instead he looked forward and calculated the best angle he should take towards the treeline.

Piece o' cake he thinks back to Alex. Daniel barks at Tane playfully, Oh, right. You trip over your own paws, twinkle-toes! He turns away at the same time she does, not wanting to be left behind in the competition, and makes his way right up to the Alpha. He moves to the left obediently, looking over the she-wolves with a competitive spark to his eye. The male has always loved competitions, if only because they make for great jokes to hang over the heads of losers- assuming that he wins, of course. Danny tends to always assume that he will win, though; competitions are a lot more fun when you anticipate victory throughout them. He could guess why the competition was split between genders, of course, glancing towards Jonah. Around this time, Shasta began to act strangely, dropping down and becoming seemingly pure-wolf, whilst also sort of ignoring the Alpha and Beta. Danny watched her for a moment, but then turned back to look at Narissa as she promises the killing of the elk to whoever can track it the fastest. He paws at the ground excitedly, confident though he knows that he hasn't the skill of an actual hunter. He knows these woods like the back of his paw, being a scout, and therefore will have some sort of advantage. Before he can make a move, however, Ryker makes a snide comment of sorts towards Daniel and Tane. Being as he is, Danny doesn't respond with any sort of hurt.

Who stepped on your tail, Ryker? He asks cheerfully, eyes still twinkling. He turned and began towards the scent of the elk, but was stopped within a few feet by Leon determining that the hunt would not happen under current poor weather conditions. In disappointment, Daniel's tail dropped for a moment, though it lasted no more before he spun around with a humorous look. I guess you girls have been spared the humiliation of defeat for today, he says teasingly, before following the clearly disappointed Alpha back to the den. As most others seemed to be doing it, the man shifted into a human form, revealing warm blue eyes and dark brown hair. He wore simple jeans and a ratty old T-Shirt that had the name of some human movie or another across the chest. His feet, however, were bare.

Image
Myla's eyes show some sympathy for Jonah, knowing that he holds his guitar as probably his most prized position- he has played her a few chords before, but always seems to get too nervous to finish the song, as he tends to get around females. His sudden look of smugness, though, leads her to blink slightly, not accustomed to such an expression from the somewhat awkward Delta. Before she reacts to a greater extent, Myla's ears perk up towards Leon to listen as he commands that the female wolves move to the right and the males to the left. Behind her, she can smell Tane following her- probably because Myla is actually a hunter, whilst Tane is known for being somewhat. . .clumsy. And for being incredibly stubborn about denying said clumsiness. However, her attention is quickly distracted by Shasta, who grumbles something about some people only wanting to do the killing and not the tracking part. This makes her mentally frown slightly for, despite being in favor of energy conservation, she doesn't exactly approve of this mentality. Being a hunter, she spends much of her days tracking- it is necessary before the killing part of hunting, of course. The fact that Shasta wants to just dodge out on the tedious part and skip back in for the fun part irritates her, because it seems to Myla that she expects to just be handed things on a platter. The huntress looks over at Shasta with some annoyance, though her look gives nothing away because she has always been gifted at masking true opinions and emotions. Such a skill is very useful in easy living.

When Narissa promises the kill to whoever tracks the elk first, Myla can't help but allow her tail to wag very slightly, because elk are her favorite, and first kill tends to mean first bite as well. She is about to move forward towards the potent scent when Akitla begins telling people where to go and such, making her tale fall slightly as she looks over the fellow huntress who has decided to take charge. With an inward sigh, she begins to move towards them when Akitla darts forward, apparently receiving the Alpha's orders somewhat late. Myla has already begun heading back to the den when Akitla realizes and shifts. She shifts about halfway there, walking with ease because she has no dread for storms- rather, she quite likes them, if only the skies were not so clouded by them. The rain is cool, the lightning lovely and the thunder interesting to her. More than anything, Myla loved the sound of rain. She may even be tempted to break her normal role of obedience to go out to the lake and watch the rain fall onto the water if she desires enough to. Her human form has dark chestnut hair that softly curls to a bit past her shoulders, and maintains the intelligent green eyes of her wolf form. She wears a short brown dress and shorts underneath -really more of a shirt and shorts- because movement is easier in these clothing, and they are less uncomfortable when shifting. Her feet are strapped with comfortable sandals. The young woman looks over her shoulder, knowing that Jonah will be a bit behind her as he had stopped to get his guitar. She continues to walk leisurely, enjoying the crunch of leaves beneath her feet and the crisp feel of the pre-rain air on her bare skin.

Reiner

When Eleanor stopped so quickly it made Reiner stumble over his own feet so he wouldn't run into her smaller wolf form. "Alice! We can't just go there, and automatically attack! If it's not an attack. It could be the alpha, trying to make peace with us. Please. Calm down." Reiner couldn't help but scoff. It was highly unlikely Leon would make peace anytime soon now with Alice barging in. He gave a small nod whenever Ella agreed to keep a nose out for Sabine.

It's Sabine! She's with the other wolf!

If Reiner had been in human form all the color would have drained from his face, he suddenly took off after Ella, knowing how protective she was. His jaw clenched as he came upon two wolves, not of his pack. He shifted when Ella did, keeping a calm look on his face but his body language was clearly protective as he stayed close to Ella and Alice. He gave a small grin when Sabine moved towards Ella, but a loud snarl escaped his lips when one picked up Sabine by the scruff.

"You really don't know me then, LEON!"

Reiner quickly tensed as his brown eyes flickered to Ella, knowing she was upset now. "Put. Her. Down." He took a deep breath as he crossed his arms, "If you really want to get the pack, then let me take her place-" Reiner's brow furrowed as he looked at Eleanor with a confused look. "El.." He mumbled, but let her continue. "I'm the alpha's little sister. If anything happened to me, he'd be completely torn up. You can take me, and I'll send away the rest of the pack." Reiner gentle reached out and put a hand on Eleanor's shoulder. They weren't taking Ella, not on Reiner's watch. He promised Gabe he'd keep her save and that's what he was gonna do. He knew Gabriel wouldn't let Molly do this. "Or, if you chose to take the pup, I can have my entire pack here in a second, ready to rip your head off. Most of them are nearby, already in wolf form. A few of them are on their way right now. I'll make sure to let them know you two were the one who started all this. I doubt your alpha will be happy with you for that. I suggest my first option, if you really want to get the alpha." Reiner watched as Ella stood up, he reached out and pulled her back towards him. "I'm sorry, but you aren't getting any members of my pack. Not tonight, at least." He stated calmly to the two girls and the guy who just arrived. How was it he was always drug into this drama?

That's when the one holding the pup was tackled. Reiner couldn't hide the confusion on his face. What was going on? "Take your pup and leave. Next time we won't be so leniant. So better keep your pack on your land or else." Reiner instantly bent down to pick up Sabine, knowing she liked to ride on his shoulders. "We'll keep that in mind." He said smoothly, mentally face palming. Did he seriously just say that? He needed to stop picking up habits from Molly.

Eleanor Hope Sanders

Ella turned her head towards Reiner slightly when he pulled her back towards him. She didn't fight back, but stayed tense as she leaned against him slightly, comforted by his and Alice's presence. "I'm sorry, but you aren't getting any members of my pack. Not tonight, at least." He told the two, and Ella held her tongue.

Just as she thought things were going to calm down, she heard another pair of footsteps approach them. She tensed again, taking a step forward. he calmly told the wolf to shift back into human form, and tried to make the situation calm down. Ella relaxed slightly, taking a half step back so she was beside Alice and Reiner again. That's when a wolf came into the clearing, knocking over the girl holding Sabine. She growled, unsure of what was going on.

The wolf ran towards them, and Ell braced herself. she let out a deep breath when the pup was safely dropped in front of them. Reiner quickly scooped her up, and Ella relaxed. "Thank you." she murmured to the wolves from the other pack.
She softly touched the pup's arm, and gave her a gentle smile. "Are you alright?" she asked softly. "Let's get you back to the dens."

She linked her arm with Reiner's, allowing him to lead her back to the dens to drop off Sabine. As the rain poured down on her, she shivered. She glanced back at the other wolves, offering them an apologetic half smile. She was very friendly, but didn't mess around when it came to the safety of the ones she loved.

Ryker couldn't believe what he was seeing; to threaten the beta of the pack is one thing, to ATTACK her is unthinkable. A wave of anger shot through him. One of his own sentinels too; and in front of members from the other pack. Rykers hands clinched into a tight fist. How embarrassing, how completely humiliating. He followed the wolves from the other pack in silence until they were far enough for him to turn back. The head sentinel made his way towards the den, passing Leon but not stopping for pleasantries.

Ryker... where'd Nessie go?

"Hopefully to put Shasta down like a sick dog." He said through his teeth, "If you need me, I will be standing guard just outside the den until everyone arrives for the meeting."

He didn't wait for the alpha to respond, Ryker knew Leon had other things on his mind. To old wolfs surprise, he calmed down a lot quicker than he thought he would. Now without the anger keeping him warm, the cool rain began to remind him of the coming winter. This will be his thirty second winter, sometimes it feels like twice that. When is the snow going to get here? For a bref moment, Ryker was remembering the winters of the past; mostly good ones, like the last one he shared with his brother. They would wake up the bears from their hibernation and run away as the angry beast would chase them. Ryker laughed inwardly as he recalled the time a mother grizzly actually caught the then young beta, and how his brother saved his hide from being eaten. After that day, his Indian name was Sleeps-With-Bears.

Ryker, still in human form, lowered his head in respect when Leon entered the den followed by Isis. The sentinel watched as she moved into the den, almost missing Narissa storming in the den. She clearly needed to get something off her chest.

... Shit, he forgot about Shasta. Ryker quickly shifted to his wolf form and bolted out to the clearing. Goddamnit where did she go. It wasn't long before his arrived at a large fallen log, the heavy rains made it difficult to see, but he could smell the girl was close.

SHASTA!

SHASTA! The get out of this rain and come with me to the den!

He finally saw her a little ways ahead and trotted to the young sentinel. You look like your thinking of leaving this place... If that's what you want, I won't stop you. I even understand. But let me ask you something, do you even know what it means to be in a pack, to be part of someting greater than yourself?

Akitla had snapped at her, but Isis was relieved to hear that Akitla wasn't so injured that she was pleading. When Akitla managed to get herself from under the branch, Isis dropped it heavily. The burning smell was so obvious now. Her hands were hurting...Akitla probably needed help to get back, so Isis was considering staying human and--

Akitla yelped and Isis jumped, turning to face the now-human Akitla. Why'd she shift?! Isis wondered in surprise. She was cradling her arm and seemed to have another injury as well. Smeared with mud, she hadn't made it very far from the branch. Isis started towards her, but--

A crack of lightning hit the tree. The sound was like a gunshot and Isis cowered, falling backwards onto her butt. Akitla seemed in control of herself, which embarassed Isis a good deal. It might've been that the younger wolf was so much more sure of herself, even when injured... or just the fact that Isis was terrified of loud noises.

"Isis! Go get the others, I'll be fine!" Akitla said, waving her hand at Isis.

"...I..." Isis mumbled, still startled. Her heart was thumping heavily, but Akitla was right about getting the others. Isis frowned. Judging by earlier, she probably wasn't going to be able to get Leon to come, he was too busy to humor her, it seemed... but she was sure Ryker could get Leon to go for Akitla. then she could come back and keep an eye on Akitla. Would the older Sentinel listen to her, Isis wondered. "...Akitla... I'll be back soon." She promised, shifting to her wolf form. I'm not sure if you should stay in your human form...but shifting again might cause a lot of stress, Akitla... please be careful. Isis warned, before shooting off towards the den again.

The rain whipped at her face and Isis realized suddenly, with a start, that she hadn't seen Ryker at the den. He'd been near, but he was leaving... she recalled him calling for Shasta. Shasta... Isis had heard her when she was running back from her scouting expedition. If Isis was correct...

Ah! They're closer than the den! She realized. She made a slight turn, going for Ryker and Shasta. If she got at least one of the two of them to go back to the den, probably Ryker, then Shasta could help her move Akitla out of the way of the tree and probably help her with first aid. Isis hoped that Ryker and Shasta weren't arguing, because she really needed at least one of them to respond to her now. Shasta! Ryker! She called as hard as she could.

Ryker watched as Shasta took off. The rain stopped, it was just a drizzle now, but the wind was still strong. He took a sept forward, but hesitated to go after her. It's for the best. He reassured himself. He wasn't going to waist him time on a lost cause like Shasta.

He looked around for a few moments, he was pretty close to Rohani territory. The thought crossed his mind to do a little espionage, maybe he would run into that blind woman from earlier. He quickly dismissed the idea and turned back to the den. There a meeting that is supposed to be taking place any minute and he need to share the news of Shastas departure. This was going to make him look bad he just knew it.

Well, at lest we got rid of a bad apple before she ruined the whole bunch. Ryker thought as he made his way through the clearing. It was a bit harsh, but true. The sentinel wondered if the Rohani had any 'bad apples' of their own. He laughed at the idea of the alpha of the Rohani having to put up with a buch of Shastas and Akitlas. Ryker met the Rohani Alpha once, before he was the Alpha of course, back when Ryker was a lone wolf. What was his name, Gary? Looking back, he realized why he chose the Stiprus pack... Leon reminded him of his older brother. A smile crossed the wolfs face, he never really saw the connection until now. What a funny thing life is; when the people you kow remind you of the people you knew.

Ryker, still in his wolf form, soon arrived back at the den and took his post right outside, waiting for the meeting to start.

Isis wasn't able to find either Ryker or Shasta and went back to the den quickly, finding Ryker there. She called for Leon first, but when he didn't seem to be nearby, figured he had left. Maybe he heard Akitla after all. Then, the others must've found her. She wondered if she ought to go back and help. She had promised, after all... but if Leon had left, he'd probably brought someone with him-- for certain he would have everything under control. She supposed if she just waited outside for him to return and ascertained with her own eyes that Akitla was alright, she'd be fine. She was pretty tired from running around already.

Relaxing, Isis turned her attention to Ryker briefly. She wasn't sure how he viewed her because they barely spoke to one another. If I wasn't always off exploring, I guess we might talk a little more. She thought, though she doubted this. It wasn't like they had much to talk about in the first place.

In any case, currently Ryker was... smiling to himself, it seemed. She took up a post a little ways away from him. He might've been deep in thought and she didn't feel like saying anything to draw attention to herself. Instead, she stared out at the trees. She really wished she could just go out and explore. The other wolves in the pack were great, but she didn't feel very much like a part of the pack, usually. She did report in when the pack was supposed to of course, but then she'd usually go exploring again. She had felt a sort of kinship with Shasta because of it-- Isis thought Shasta had the same kind of disconnect with the pack that she did. Then again, she never spoke to Shasta either, so she couldn't be sure.

She could hear Daniel, her fellow scout, in the den. He was probably with Tane and the pups... Isis was always pretty bad with the pups, she didn't tell stories or jokes as well as Daniel or the Omegas. She sighed to herself and stared into the sky. I want to go out and find something to investigate, She thought. Hurry back, Leon... I want this meeting to be over with and I want Akitla to be safe.

Akitla felt herself going in and out of consciousness due to the pain as Leon brought her back into the den. All she was seeing was different flashes of colors and voices around her. Jesus, she felt like she was tripping out or some shit. She gripped her arm and groaned quietly as someone else took her and began walking. She squinted and looked up at who it was. "Isis...?" She muttered rubbing her head. "I swear to god if I start muttering about going towards the light slap the crap outa me." She said quickly starting to loos her usual calm persona. Well if you thought you might loose complete use of your arm she's sure you would too. She grunted as Isis set her down and started checking out her injuries.

"Akitla, how much pain are you feeling right now? I think your arm is broken and I want to set it. But it'll hurt a lot, especially if your arm is actually broken. Your knee is swelling up and I don't know what the cause is-- err, well, I know what the cause is, but I don't know if it's broken... I want to compress it in ice... what do you think?

She frowned and was quiet for a moment before answering hesitantly. "....Set it. I'll deal." She said wincing even at the thought. Compressing it in ice is the right way to go, most of the pain is coming from my arm and a few cuts and bruises here and there on my side. But i'll live...I think. But if you see anything.....poking out keep it to yourself cause for me that's just TMI." She answered back, slightly out of it. Her brain was trying to block out the pain and like hell was she about to knock out while people were touching here. Friends or not. She heard someone else come over but was too lazy to even try to look up.

"There's an ice pack, some bandages and a splint kit. I would start with the splint kit." Oh...Ryker. She put on a lazy grin as she saw him pull out a the flask.

"...And this is for you."

"My hero." She said, as she reached up with her other arm and took it, getting the lid off with some difficulty before guzzling half of it. If she was about to get her arm all reattached an shit, she was about to do it completely inebriated. "Also do me one more favor before we do this..." She slurred slightly. "Get Alex's ass over here so I can crush his freakin hand while we do this."

Akitla's response was as flippant as Isis expected. She had to admit, she liked that about the younger hunter. She smiled, about to respond, when she heard someone coming up near her. She stiffened slightly, but relaxed when she felt a presence at her left side. She looked up from Akitla, surprised when Ryker kneeled next to her. He placed a kit near her leg.

Ryker...? Isis wondered. What is he--

"There's an ice pack, some bandages, and a splint kit." He said. "I would start with the splint kit." She wasn't sure what he was talking about for a minute, then realized that he was talking about the kit he'd given her.

It was a kind gesture and Isis was thankful. But she was sure she was wide-eyed. She couldn't recall ever speaking to Ryker-- or even being this close. She wasn't sure what she was surprised about the most, but she tamed her expression quickly, smiling at him before glancing towards Akitla.

"...And this is for you." She heard him say. Akitla's eyes lit up and Isis turned to see Ryker was holding out a flask.

"My hero." Akitla said wryly, reaching for the flask. Amused, Isis watched Akitla struggle to open it and then drink what seemed like half of the contents. If she's going to have her arm set, might as well do it drunk. Isis thought. "Also do me one more favor before we do this," Akitla was slurring a little. Isis nodded. "Get Alex's ass over here so I can crush his freakin hand while we do this."

Isis couldn't help but laugh then. "...Alright." She agreed warmly. "...Ryker." She addressed the man with her, pausing when his eyes landed on her. She suddenly felt a bit self-conscious. Ah... it's been some time since... I saw him this way. She thought, unsure of when last she saw him as a human. ...He's... Realizing that she was staring, she cleared her throat and continued, "...Do you mind going to get Alex? I'll wait here for you...with Akitla."

Kat Tirry Bright

She saw Alpha Leon deposit Snow and he looks mighty pissed. Kat jumped out of the way, short of hiding. You don’t want to cross the Alpha when he’s in a mood. Isis and Ryker was by Snow’s side she couldn’t she the extent of the damage but she knew enough first aid to treat the wound and broken bones. She immediately went to the gardens and tore two aloe vera leaves. She went to the infirmary and fetched a clean, stainless gurney. When she got back Ryker was starting a splint and Alex was firing questions one after the other. Snow was chugging liquid amber which is good if something gets dislocated, she would need distraction. Then they she will have to set it but there’s so much people they might not even let her come near Snow.... but Snow needs her help. And there’s the impending meeting which she is not a part of but Ryker, Isis and Alex should be present. She will have to do this for the others to attend the meeting or heads will roll.

Whimpering, she said “Ex-cuse me uhm... master Ryker, if you would let me borrow a leather belt if you have one. I-i-i uh... would have given my belt but its so narrow and uh... Miss Snow will need something wide to bite on or she will lose all her teeth if I reset the bone.” She managed to get that out. She set the aloe vera beside the medic kit. Her hand slightly shook as she rolled the gurney near Snow she turned to Isis. “Miss Isis if you uhm...." Kat cleared her throat. "Miss Isis, Master Alex would be so kind as to h-h-help me transfer Miss Snow to this gurney?” Kat said nervously, she can feel the blush up to her ears. What are they thinking now? Some puny omega wanting to take over?

"But there's to be an important meeting....” even her thought sounded so forlorn. She only hoped the ground and swallow her up.

Ryker's response had been negative, but considering how quickly Alex had returned and was prodding at Akitla, Isis was happier that the older sentinel had stayed with her. And now this, She thought, observing Alex's behavior. Her pack sometimes joked around too much-- what, is he trying to put her into shock from the pain? She turned to Alex and scolded him immediately.

"Are you a pup, Alex? You'll hurt her more that way! Sit down and stop that." She growled, her brows furrowing. "...Akitla wants you here, but I'll send you away if you keep this up." She didn't wait for his response and smacked his hands away from Akitla before pushing him into a sitting position to her right. Resuming her usual speaking voice, she said softly, "Don't worry, Alex...It's just one arm and her knee. No concussions. And I'm sure when we're done with her, you can talk about kung fu movies." She didn't know how best to help outside of assessing Akitla's injuries-- even when she wasn't a scout, she was normally not around for aiding with medical things. Isis had spent most of her time back then taking care of the pups... and she still wasn't good at that, either.

A shaky voice came from her blind spot and Isis nearly had a heart attack. "Ex-cuse me, uhm... master Ryker..."

Someone else? Isis turned. Relieved, she realized it was just Kat. She supposed she couldn't be angry at Kat for showing up in her blind spot-- most of the others didn't pay her right eye any mind, so how would Kat have known? Besides, Kat was being extremely submissive-- The omega's voice was so small, she was shaking with every word-- so Isis decided it was easier to just ignore that she'd nearly died with surprise when Kat showed up. Ryker really would benefit from her help over mine, Isis thought instead. The thought strangely made her feel a bit sad. She really did want to help. ...No. It's better this way. She decided. She didn't move from her spot, though.

The way Kat was shaking made Isis feel bad. When she was an omega, Isis remembered feeling as though no one wanted to hear her and she was sure Kat was feeling similarly. Kat addressed her, "Miss Isis, if you uhm...Miss Isis, Master Alex would be so kind as to h-h-help me transfer Miss Snow to this gurney?"

Isis wanted to agree, but... This isn't my show, really. The person who is doing the most work is Ryker... She felt bad not responding positively to Kat, but she was certain that if Ryker wanted to move her, he would speak up and do so. But Ryker was occupied and... well, Isis couldn't be sure that he wouldn't just ignore Kat. She thought about a possible response, knowing that Kat wouldn't leave while she was thinking.

Finally, Isis responded, "...Is it possible for you to aid Akitla here? Then we'll move her onto the gurney, after her arm is set." She looked hopefully at Kat, hoping the omega wouldn't take her suggestion the wrong way. She had worded it well... she assumed.

"...Is it possible for you to aid Akitla here? Then we'll move her onto the gurney, after her arm is set."

She didn’t realize that she was holding her breath until she breathed a sigh of relief. Its better to work with a patient lying on a gurney so they can exert proper pressure. There’s no second chance when re- setting bones. Then again, she’s probably right contusions are starting to show. Soon it will be too painful to even move Snow.

“Yes of course, Miss Isis.” Kneeling beside Snow she rummaged through the medic kit, put on some gloves and pulled out a penlight. With that she shined the light to her left eye, then to the right. Satisfied that the pupils react to light like they should she put it back to the box. "No sign of concussion." she said. She dabbed antiseptic on her forehead and bandaged it. Snow had a gash on her arm and legs that needs cleaning too. She will have to do it later. She injected a serum that will block hematoma to her arm and knee. She handed a roll of gauze to Snow "I'm really s-sorry for this Miss Snow. I-i'll be resetting your arm now." She stammered and wiped her brow. Willing her self to finish the job.

Two loud crunch after she was splinting Snow's arm and knee.

"Mi-miss Isis... Miss Snow is in no position to move for the next few days. It looks like her arm might be casted, her knee only suffered light trauma but she will...." her voice faltered. Miss Isis makes her nervous something about her eyes. She gulped then continued "She will have to stay at the infirmary for a few days."

Akitla looked at Ryker with an eyebrow raised. He was totally judging the hell outa her right now. Well, most of the pact did...sometimes she thought it might be better if she just left the pact...but with all that elder BS she was just wayyyy to lazy to even think about doing all of that.

"You didn't break both arms now did you? It's just the arm right? And no head concussions or anything?" He asked qustion after qustion, not waiting for any answer. "Quick: Whose my favorite martial arts hero? And how old are you? And what number of fingers am I holding up?"

"A-alex I swear to god if you don't stop touching me I will split every martial arts DVD you own in half and proceed to snap both your arms ioff." She threatened as she slapped his hand away with her good hand, but grinning slightly. She loved this kid, she really did. But he needed to learn when it was time for messing around or when it was time to lay low. She knew he was just concerned but come on. She groaned again and drank more as she winced.

“Ex-cuse me uhm... master Ryker, if you would let me borrow a leather belt if you have one. I-i-i uh... would have given my belt but its so narrow and uh... Miss Snow will need something wide to bite on or she will lose all her teeth if I reset the bone. Miss Isis if you uhm....Miss Isis, Master Alex would be so kind as to h-h-help me transfer Miss Snow to this gurney?”

Snow stayed quiet as apparently one more person came over to help her. She was actually surprised to say in the least. Since she wasn't exactly obeying Leon when this happened she thought they'd all just probably leave her till she was half dead. I mean as cruel as that sounded it was something she'd probably even do to herself if she were in Leons position... She listened to them banter a bit before Kat settled down next to her. Oh Jesus this was guna hurt like a bitch...

"No sign of concussion. I'm really s-sorry for this Miss Snow. I-i'll be resetting your arm now." Her eyes narrowed as the girl gave her the a roll of gauze. Why? Probably for something to bite down on, well she assumed. She grabbed Alex's hand as Kat leaned down. She muttered a bunch of swears under her breath as she felt her put her hands on her. God, she hated people touching her.

Crunch Akitla bit threw the gauze as she was probably squeezing the life out of Alex's hand, yelping. She was trying her best not to scream and or slap the crap out of the girl who was doing it. She's helping, she's helping, she's helping, don't, don't- She thought to herself as she tasted some blood on her tongue. Oh great her lip...today was just freakin spectacular. Dandy and candy with gum drops. She didn't notice that she was still squeezing Alex's hand.

"Mi-miss Isis... Miss Snow is in no position to move for the next few days. It looks like her arm might be casted, her knee only suffered light trauma but she will....She will have to stay at the infirmary for a few days."

Akitlas eyes snapped open at that statement. Stay in the infirmary?! She had to hunt and catch food for the others! Man, Leon was going to be pissed at this fact. She was supposed to just sit in some infirmary? Psht, no no no. She pushed herself up, her being hard-headed as usual, as her gaze hardened.

"You expect me to just sit in the infirmary when I have hunting to do? I know this is my fault but come on." She said groaning to herself as she lifted her arm and moved it a bit. "See look at that, it's all better. Ok now if you'll excuse me." She said as she went to stand up.

Ryker couldn't find the damn ointment in his bag. Just as he was about to give up, he noticed someone put aloe vera next to the medical bag. Who the..? Ryker looked at everyone around him, not noticing the omega on the first take.

“Ex-cuse me uhm... master Ryker, if you would let me borrow a leather belt if you have one. I-i-i uh... would have given my belt but its so narrow and uh... Miss Snow will need something wide to bite on or she will lose all her teeth if I reset the bone.” The timid omega spoke.

Who the... Ryker felt around his waist. He wasn't wearing a blet. "I'm wearing suspenders," he admitted, "they keep my pants at my natural waist line..."

The sentinel was slightly embarrassed about exposing his sense of fashion in front of a crowd of people, especially Isis. He shrugged, trying to move the conversation forward. He noticed Akitla giving him a dirty look. Was the bourbon not to her liking? Was she not happy that Leon didn't leave her to her own undoing like he would have done? Like he did do... Shasta could have been convinced to stay; maybe if he tried harder, or was nicer... Fuck'em.

Ryker watched in surprise at how quickly the omega was moving, grabbing the gloves and equipment from his bag without even asking. He wondered if she even noticed she did that. she would make a good replacement for Shasta. She would need a lot of training, like A LOT, and the blessing of the alpha of course, that's if she even wanted to be a sentinel. Sentinels weren't popular like the hunters, their job is to keep the pack in line and protect the territory not an easy job, especially with this bunch.

He placed his hand on Akitlas shoulder to prevent her from getting up all the way. "You're going to hurt yourself even worse if you keep this up." He told the female hunter. Half concerning, half threatening.

"Oh come on Elna, why don't you just drink some blood from the pack?" Alex said.

"Nobody is to give her blood until Leon gives the go-ahead." He said to Alex in a harsh and demanding tone. Ryker saw it as a fitting punishment to her disobedience, but the decision wasn't his to make. He was sure Narissa would agree the a punishment was in order, maybe even a temporary demotion. The thought of quiet timid Kat out there hunting while Akitla was stuck in the den is amusing indeed.

Suddenly Ryker noticed a void. Isis, where was she? He looked at the omega with stern eyes. "Watch theses two." He commanded before sifting into his wolf form and leaving in search for the scout. He saw her at the mouth of the den and casually approached her left side. Are you this always restless? He asked her.

Isis heard someone approaching, but didn't realize who until a voice interrupted her thoughts. Are you always this restless? Ryker asked. She glanced to her side, pleased that he was on her left. She wasn't sure if he'd noticed her nearly dying when Kat had shown up. If that wasn't embarrassing, then the word needed to be redefined. She resumed watching the horizon.

Focusing on his words, Isis wondered briefly if that was how the others viewed her, restless. Wasn't too far from the truth, she had to admit. All the same, she thought it was funny that he would ask that. It was like he was concerned about her. Which I suppose I would like very much, She realized. ...hm. Well, that being besides the point... She couldn't stay quiet and not respond to him forever... and she did want him to have a better impression of her than what she assumed he had.

I apologize. She sat down, turning her head towards him. Kat didn't seem all that comfortable around me... and Akitla and Alex are usually joking around. You were there, so I doubt they would do anything too foolish. I... didn't think I was very much needed... Hesitating, Isis turned her eyes to the outdoors again. I didn't realize anyone would notice my being gone. Pausing, she turned to look back at the larger black wolf. But you did, Ryker. I'm...surprised. Normally the others tend to ignore me.

It felt like she'd said a lot...more than she was accustomed to in one go, anyway. So she was silent for a while. Her mind was brimming with questions about Ryker that she thought it would be rude to ask. Ryker was different from the others-- she wasn't sure how long the others had been together, but she assumed it had been a while-- and that made Isis think that he was in a different pack, once. Was it a pack of regular wolves or werewolves? Was he a sentinel in his old pack too? Why had he left them? Why did he choose to stay with the Stiprus? Eventually, worn out by the onslaught of queries her mind was buzzing with, Isis murmured, It's fine, you know...if you decide you'd rather be elsewhere.

Ryker had started playing with a rock but stopped after she spoke. Isis wondered what he was thinking. Then he spoke. Is that what you want, to be elsewhere I mean? You know, Shasta ran away today, I don't think she's coming back...I haven't told anybody yet, I let her leave the pack without so much as a hesitation. Sometimes I see the same look in your eye that she had.

Isis considered his words carefully. Would she leave the pack...? She couldn't lie to him and say she hadn't thought about it. At the same time, she wondered if he felt guilt about Shasta. Did he blame himself for her leaving? Shasta had been similar to her-- disconnected, not the same as the others. She didn't know what it was. She didn't know why it was. But they were different.

...I would like to be elsewhere. She said, finally. But I never want to be elsewhere forever. Does that make sense? She shook her head. She didn't word that well, but she didn't know how else to say it. ...Shasta's leaving isn't because of you... Isis murmured idly, focusing on the rock he'd been playing with. ...Shasta's like the lone wolves I meet. She's got some damage... something she can't share. You probably told her what she needed to hear... something that made her realize that she couldn't be a part of a pack. Since it's you... maybe she heard how devoted you are to the pack, Ryker? I feel as though you're the only one who could help someone like Shasta. Isis fell silent for a while. You're a good man, Ryker. The words slipped past her before she could stop them. Surprised that she hadn't held her tongue, she glanced at him.

The sentinel laughed, which Isis had been expecting. One day I'll tell you why that's not true. But thanks for the kind words anyways. He said. She wished she could shrug. She settled on just watching him sit next to her. Her mind wandered for a moment, but when he spoke, she blinked up at him. As far as 'lone wolves' go, I've been one before. It's not all it's cracked up to be... My brother once said, "if you're runnin' away from your fears, you're runnin' in the wrong direction."

Isis looked away. Some of those fears can't be conquered by facing them, she thought. But she assumed for most people, that statement was correct. She had been alone once and it had been pretty nice up until a point and then she'd decided she needed to live with others. Maybe Ryker and his brother had come across something different. But that was interesting... if he had family, why was he with this particular pack? Families normally stuck together.

Leon was calling them and Isis looked back towards Ryker and the innards of the den. Ryker seemed comfortable and asked if she wanted to move, but she shook her head. Leon's words made her worry about their current relations with the Rohani, though. Although Isis wasn't sure what the issues between the two packs were-- she assumed it was something small, like just having the same hunting grounds-- she thought if the two packs would talk it out, or at least not be so hostile towards each other, they'd be better off. But... for some reason Narissa isn't all too keen on them. She hadn't come from this particular forest... but the Stiprus had accepted her into the pack. So it probably wasn't having to do with what forest they were from. She recalled overhearing that it came from a rivalry from when the alphas in both packs were young, but...Was that really it, just a rivalry? Quietly, she asked Ryker, Why is it that we and the Rohani are fighting, anyway?

Ryker's explanation made Isis go back to thinking again. She supposed she would eventually have to ask Leon about the difficulties between the two packs, but... probably not today. Leon seemed to be far too busy today. Isis was going to ask Ryker about his brother but he spoke first, saying The meeting is over, you're free to go investigate the mysteries of the forest.

The thought of finding a new cave to wander was enticing, no doubt. ...Well... She said, looking outside for a couple seconds. Sure, she could be called restless... but being with Ryker made her feel very comfortable. It was nice, so she wasn't really keen on leaving him just yet. ...Maybe. Are you busy? Isis played with a nearby pebble as she gathered her thoughts. She wasn't sure why Ryker's presence was so nice. It was so pleasant that Isis didn't actually feel like taking leave of the den to explore and she usually took any opportunity to go out exploring. However, she'd been to most of her usual haunts already today... and on top of that, she had been thinking about puzzles earlier and she really wanted to buy some new ones for her room, now. If you're not, she continued, Would you like to go into town? I was thinking about buying some things and... Leon said we needed to partner up to go... She trailed off, putting her paw over the pebble. Ah. Ryker is head sentinel. Of course he's busy. Isis chastised herself. But she waited for his response anyway, hoping he'd agree to go to town with her. On the chance that he said no, though... she thought she might go hunt for rabbits. It had been a long day and she still hadn't eaten.

Rykers closed his eyes for a moment; only listening to her voice. Truth be told if she asked him to run away with her and never look back, he might actually consider it. Who was this woman? He bearly even knew this person yet he is willing to abandon his post for her. The worst thing was that she didn't know who he was. She didn't know a thing about this old wolf; that he was in a pack that toured around the Midwest as a black metal band and was worship as a cult, that the elders of this pact almost didn't let him join because of his history with pack elders, that he killed his own brother. If he got any closer to Isis, she might find out about is darker past. Part of Ryker wanted to tell her everything right then and there, to go with her to town, but fear got the best of him.

"I think... It would be best if I stayed in for the night." He said; heavy with hesitation and remorse. "If you still want to go in the morning, I will go with you. If you want to go with someone else, I will understand." Ryker cursed himself and his responsibilities. Merely excuse to avoid his uncontrollable urge to be with her. A feeling that excited and scared him.

The sentinel, noticing movement from the corner of his eye, looked back into the den. It was that omega from earlier, Kat. She looked like someone had just asked her to a question because she had that stupid worries look on her face. Ryker looked back at Isis, wishing she wouldn't leave him just yet, but worrying she would. With a sigh he turned back to the omega, "What is it." Swiftly, almost snapping at the poor girl.

Ryker's response was negative, which Isis had expected with such a busy job as sentinel. The scout was disappointed and a bit confused as to why she was disappointed in the first place-- she'd been turned down before, multiple times, so why was this time any different? Maybe it was just the fact that Ryker sounded like he was regretting his decision to stay. He must've really wanted to go. She rationalized. He's head sentinel, though...it must be hard to find time to go into town... Still, he had said he'd come along with her in the morning and that was good enough. She could use this time to hunt. But before she could respond, Ryker faced the omega from before. Isis only briefly saw the look on her face-- worried, nearly frightened.

What is it. He said. It was almost as though he was snapping at her. It surprised Isis to hear the sentinel talk like that-- not because she didn't think he would or could, but...moreso because he usually seemed collected and calm. It lead her to believe that something was on his mind. Something that upset the man more than he was letting on, in any case.

Isis was aware that Kat was very likely to take that the wrong way. Kat was easy to scare, it seemed, at least that's what Isis had gleaned from her previous encounters with the skittish omega. Especially if the head sentinel snapped at her... Kat would probably become terrified and extremely apologetic. She wasn't sure how much Kat actually liked being around her-- Isis was sure Kat thought her lame eye was creepy-- but Isis was pretty sure that Kat wasn't going to respond very well to Ryker's behavior. The scout decided after a thought that she would get something to eat after she aided Kat. Although she wasn't sure what the sentinel was thinking about to make him all but yell at Kat, Isis also decided that she needed to at least partially try to lighten the mood between Kat and Ryker. Did you need something, Kat? She asked politely. ...Is it help with Akitla? Isis got to her feet and looked at Ryker. I'll help her, She said. She wasn't sure exactly how to make him less upset (and to be fair, she wasn't sure that he was upset to begin with), but she'd had good results with submissive behavior with other wolves who had seemed angry with her when she was an omega. So she flattened her ears back and lowered her body just enough to show she wasn't out to challenge him and nuzzled under his chin. She focused on Ryker and managed to say just to him, We can go together tomorrow.

She'd been close enough to know his scent but she'd never been this close. He was comforting and felt safe, but she wasn't sure why it was that she thought that way. Was it his job? Was it just that he seemed to like her? Maybe she was focusing too hard on Ryker...? Isis didn't want to waste anymore of his time idling about, so she backed away from him and turned to face Kat. Come on, Kat. I'll aid you with Akitla if you need help.
