Description

Shasta Morgans

Image

Nickname: Shasta or Sassy

Gender: Female

Age: 21

Crush?: TBA

Mate?: TBA

Pack: Stiprus

Role in Pack: Sentinel

Personality:
Shasta would probably be better described as more wolfish than that of her packmates. She growls and bares her teeth all too much in her human form and if often thought of as an odd wolf by her own kind, so she mingles by herself most of the time. Which is probably why she patrols the territory alot, to be out on her own, and be able to have a little more freedom than others. Being wolf kin, she does like to mingle and play with other wolves, even babysit the cubs when able to, but being herself around others is difficult. So you can say she has major trust issues and likes to think of herself as better off in the wild alone. Shasta is protective, territorial (Of course!), wary, and gentle, but very loyal. Once you gain her trust, she will fight side-by-side with you even to death.

Likes:
  • Cubs, she adores them!
  • Reading, it's her favorite pasttime.
  • Running, she loves the feel of the wind in her fur.
  • Mock fighting, don't be afraid to fight a girl!
  • Being on her own, it's a small sense of freedom for her.

Dislikes:
  • The Rohani pack (Of course!)
  • Too many limits, she doesn't want to be choked with the dominance leash!
  • Human males, they have too many human flaws!
  • Horses, too big, and scary for her liking.
  • Algebra, wolves don't need math to live.

Appearance:
Shasta stands at 5'8 and weighs 127 in her human form. No one knows how much she weighs in her wolf form, although she is quite big for a female. Often mistaken for male wolf, she has Amber eyes that always seem to glow. Her coat is a mix of light gray with white and creamy brown layers. It's not that heavy and is often silky but can be a bit 'scruffy' around her ears. During the winter and fall seasons her light gray coat thickens until you can barely see any of her brown layers, but in her human form she has chocolate brown hair that cascades down to mid-back. Her eyes are Amber, but most of the times she is caught with dark blue contacts that hide her natural wolf-y eyes. She doesn't care much for fashion and wears anything comfortable.

Other: Her middle name is pronouce like cure-ah not Ky-rah.

Alex McClain

A flash of rainbow colors jumped and there was another flash of rainbow colors as the grizzled gray wolf, that had currently been lying still on his slice of rock, lunged forward, stepping into the creek. Cold water seeped into his fur but didn't bother him as he snapped his jaws shut on a now flailing fish. The fish had a name, but names don't matter to Alex when he hunts and of course, there was no exception as he was about to eat it. That is until his Alpha's words ran through his head momentarily freezing him. The fish struggled, occasionally slapping him in the face as he trotted along side the creek going downstream toward the lake. When he got there the fish was dead and there were some scales sticking to his muzzle as he came into sight of the pack's current location. The fish was about the size of his tale and would be a great snack before the true hunt, but - He saw Narissa. He made a slight nodding notion toward his pack Alpha as he walked over to Narissa and dropped the fish at her feet. Here you go, babe. Then he trotted a few away and jumped into the lake. He was in a good mood and no one was going to spoil it except...

Alex lapped up some water, while trying not to alarm the others and trying to get in contact with Shasta. The female wolf had been nearby when he first started to fish but the girl was strange and always happened to have a... Closed up and cool mind, like a jelly filled head. He never really liked talking, er, thinking to her but he had after all been slightly out the pack territory. Shasta! He couldn't take it no more, instead of mind whispering to Shasta he practically howled it out as he lifted his head. Feeling embarassed for howling out he lowered he into the water to fake drown himself.

Shasta Morgans

Shasta was feeling numb again, or as the gray wolf had said, Cool minded. It didn't strike her as hurtful for the wolf to describe her that way but only made her more aware of how she didn't fit in with these wolves. She was okay with their Alpha giving commands and asking qustions but... It's going to take her awhile to re-adjust to pack life, sometime she hadn't been used to for a year or so. And so, Shasta felt a flash of frustration and annoyance as she heard or felt Leon's command enter her head. She looked back to the creek where the Gray wolf had been and heard a couple of splashes. Shasta shook out her light gray fur and made a growling noise low in her throat before purposely going the long way to Leon's location. Around the Lake and a little deeper into Rohani Pack.

Shasta! Shasta! Shasta growled, when the Gray Wolf's words again ran into her head. The brute seemed to always bother her as she heard a howl go out, her name practically ingrained in the animalistic vocalization of the howl. She purposely sent an image of a pair of teeth into Alex's head and focused on walking silently and blending into her surroundings. The feeling of being a shadow entered her head and a sense of peace entered her as she remembered how easy it was for her to live her life alone in the wild. There had been no one to hold her back, no one to turn back for. She couldn't help it as she started to run, bathing in the sense of freedom as she ran faster. Her paws thudded against the earth in a rythm, similar to the sounds of a beating heart. She let out a bark the sounded almost like a laughing girl as she pushed herself, yearning for the feeling of the wind brushing through her fur.

(Sorry if there are misspellings and stuff like that... Still getting used to a new keyboard. :)

Right. That wide variety of leprechaun movies. Please- I went and saw a band of leprechauns at this little bar, and there were only like, two other people there. Didn't see you there, did I? Daniel retorts mentally to Tane, who is basically his partner in crime in all things joke-related. Sure, Akitla may keep the ball rolling once a joke gets going, but Danny and Tane are generally the ones who start the joking around; that's why the pair get along so well. When she responded with a hot stuff, then nudged against him before jumping back playfully, Daniel sunk into a position that made his intentions obvious. In a moment he was springing onto the female wolf, but rolled off in time for her to tease Jonah. The boy's actions were distinguishable by the splash of water and a quick apology to Akitla, who had gone over to play a bit. Daniel spins around to look at Jonah, only catching the male wolf sending a look of pleading towards Tane, probably to ask her to stop making fun of him. Jonah always has been rather sensitive, but there are some perks to such a nature. Akitla jokes back, stopping at the unmistakable sound of thunder in the distance. Daniel's own ears perk up at the sound, twitching towards the East from where it came.

Naturally, it isn't long before Narissa is scolding them like a harsh parent. She'd probably make a suitable elder, already the sort to be strict and somewhat bossy. Oi, calm down Narissa- we're just kidding around a bit, he says cheerfully, barking in a soft and playful manner as he looks over all of the pack mates once more. They are missing a few, but more quickly make themselves seen, as Alex showed up and dropped a fish in front of the Beta. The hunter begins to lap up water, only to suddenly stop and howl in a seemingly involuntary instinct. He is about to comment on it when Shasta appears, and soon Leon is speaking again. Dig up the shrooms? You're pack would be rather boring if you did that, he laughs, eyes glittering with good humor. At the mention of the hunt being male vs. female, Daniel instantly turns to Tane with a devilish look.

Bet I catch more than you! he proclaims before following after the Alpha.

Image
Myla quietly listens to the joking around with some level of amusement, although her eyes turn back towards Jonah at the sound of water splashing as he falls back, and then stumbles forward to fall on top of Akitla. True to nature, he begins to apologize immediately and awkwardly- the Delta hasn't really got any skill with females; a fact known to the entire packs, except perhaps the pups. It isn't his clumsiness, but the expression on his face while the clumsiness happens, that causes Myla to laugh very softly. He looks over at her with embarrassment, and immediately the huntress silences her own laughter and looks away in an attempt to ease his own apparent shame. Naturally, Tane jumps in to tease Jonah, promising that Akitla won't bite too much, leading to Akitla's playful response. Myla watches the interactions with her own calm expression. She is amused by it all, of course, but doesn't want to embarrass Jonah further, and knows that she isn't really expected to take part in such joking. People find her pleasant and such, but she isn't really seen as being a very goofy wolf. This is accurate, of course.

Thunder then strikes in the background, causing Myla to briefly press her tail down before returning to a normal stance, head turned towards the east. There goes a lovely night, she thinks, softly enough to be heard only by herself, for it is really meant as more of an off-hand observation than anything else. She really would like for the hunt to be done over with soon enough, because she is a bit hungry at this moment from hunting, and generally prefers to do these sorts of things alone. She isn't as social as Tane and Daniel are, after all, although not necessarily shy. The female wolf mostly ignores Narissa's scolding, knowing that she is not part of the group that it is intended for. She generally is more off to the side, and therefore is very rarely scolded by others. On those rare days when she would be the type to become angry or do something reckless, the huntress is usually wise enough to spend a day away from the pack. When Leon announces that the hunt will be a contest of sorts, male vs. female, Myla does somewhat like the prospect. It kind of means smaller groups, and she knows that both she and Akitla are more than capable, as far as hunting goes.

She glances back towards the others, lingering on Jonah to ensure that he is okay, before following after the Alpha. She naturally falls to be in the middle of the procession.

Jonah McGregory

"Oh my God! You're too cute!"

At this statement Jonah's ears pricked forward with slight interest before pinning themselves back once more. He peeked up at Akitla briefly then looked back down, pawing at the ground. When the she-wolf pawed at him he finally drug his gaze to her's, yet when she licked the dirt off his nose he looked immediately somewhere else, towards the line of trees. He was thankful that very moment he was not in his human form, because if he was his tanned face would be the color of a ripe tomato; as if he was not already embarrassed enough. That's when Tane butted in with a teasing comment, something he should have been expecting. He shot he a pleading look as Akitla went along with it.

"Now, now, Tane. You just gave my surprise away! Wow, next time call spoilers."

Jonah blinked a few times, I-It's okay, I b-bite back. he shot back. It would have been a rather clever remark, that is. . If he did not stutter and mess the whole thing up. He knew Narissa's gaze was on him; he felt it burning a hole straight through to his soul, to be quite honest. When she stepped forward and made her snarky remark about acting like pups his head immediately lowered and he gave a low whimper. The comment was centered towards him, naturally. He felt the urge to defend himself, to tell her that he did not always trip over his own paws when hunting, that it only happened a few times, but he quickly decided against it. Narissa was beta, after all. Jonah knew she had some secret bone with him. It was most likely due to him being quiet and reserved. . Shy. She did not see him as an equal and that he knew; she made it rather obvious.

Jonah's eyes followed Akitla as she moved towards Tane, commenting about the hunt.
Well, I know a good place to hunt up towards the West. It has plenty of rabbits, foxes, deer, and so on. Though i'm sorry I kind of finished off the last Unicorn last night.

His eyes danced with amusement as she went on about unicorns and such. Of course she'd keep the ball rolling. Why not get the beta more upset? Yeah. .Right. Sometimes Jonah wished he had the guts to do that sort of thing, but it was not really in him. He liked keeping the peace and letting things just go. If his pack was happy, he was happy. Maybe that placed him in the category of a "chicken," however, he had a knack for knowing when it was the right time for something and when it was not. If he did not have the whole issue with women and not injuring himself when around them, he'd probably fly under the beta and alpha's radar.

Jonah stretched, shaking out his pelt as his brown eyes traveled towards the sky. It was getting real dark and the wind was picking up fiercely. A large part of him wished Leon would just call off the hunt all together. If only he would voice his opinion. . He didn't pay much mind as Shasta, Alex and Ryker joined the hunting party, attention having strayed to his guitar that laid propped against the large elm tree close to the lake. I really don't want this storm destroying my guitar. . he thought before remembering his wolfish state and the fact the whole pack heard what was only meant to be his secret worry.
His ears flickered, signaling his slight embarrassment as he looked at Myla. At least she might understand his "grief." She came to the lake here and there when he was suppose to be there by himself, strumming the instrument. He let her listen to a few cords once or twice, but was always too paranoid to play a whole song.

Becoming slightly annoyed with this whole hunt, the delta turned his gaze on Leon as the alpha began speaking once again. Shrooms? He looked briefly at Daniel and Tane, having an idea on who was using them all. His chest vibrated with husky laughter. His alpha's next words caught his attention. Men vs. Women hunting parties? Interesting. Jonah glanced at Myla, expression a bit smug, surprisingly, as he fell in step, following after Leon.

Tane
Tane shot a playful glare in Daniel's direction as he began to speak. Right. That wide variety of leprechaun movies. Please- I went and saw a band of leprechauns at this little bar, and there were only like, two other people there. Didn't see you there, did I?
Of course you didn't see me! That was the whole point! I was there though, trust me. Did you talk to them afterwards? I bet not! she joked, watching him carefully.Tane knew once she jumped back Danny would immediately follow suit in their "game." Her tail swayed back and forth as she crouched down, and when he sprung forward she immediately jumped back yet fell short. He had her pinned but quickly rolled off as the splash was heard from Jonah.

A sound which resembled the echo of laughter rumbled deep within Tane's chest in retort to Akitla's spoiler comment. She had already gotten to her feet and was watching the scene with Jonah and Akitla intently. Oops, I'm so sorry! Spoiler alert? she joked, icy blue eyes dancing with amusement. She really did adore her pack- well, most of them, that is. The sound of thunder in the distance instantly caught the slim wolf's attention, making her cringe visibly and hunker down just slightly. Tane detested storms. She absolutely hated them, and pretty much everyone in the pack knew that. Everytime a heavy thunderstorm blew in she was always glued to one or two of her pack-mates' sides. Since becoming close friends with Daniel, more than half of the time it was him who she stayed with. Luckily, Narissa made a comment that snapped the newest sentinel's attention away from the on-coming storm.

Y'know, you could just tell us you love us already, Narissa. Tane teased light-heartedly, holding the beta's gaze momentarily before looking at Akitla who nudged her with her nose. Tane's tail immediately started to wag back and forth slowly, eyes flickering towards the west, in the direction the huntress was talking about. No unicorns? Heck! I'm out. she joked, glancing at the beta to see if she'd stepped on any toes.
Tane watched as Alex appeared, having finally decided to join them then not long after Shasta who was repeatedly called by Alex. She nodded towards them before her gaze moved to Leon who had started speaking.

At the mention of "digging up the shrooms" Tane gave an offly dramatic whimper, moving forward and pawing at the alpha's front paws. But we like the shrooms! she whimpered jokingly, eyes glinting with good humor. Then Leon said it. . Men vs. Women hunt. Right as Danny turned to her, Tane turned to him, ears pricked forward, eyes glazed with mischief. Oh, you're going down, tender foot! she taunted, giving a playful growl at Daniel before turning, following after Myla. She figured that would be the best thing to do, since that she-wolf was a huntress and all. Tane liked the thrill of the hunt but she was awful clumsy. However, she'd never admit that to anyone, especially not Dan even though he probably already knew it.

Shasta Morgans

Shasta turned to Narissa when she heard a growl. Shasta everyone is expected to hunt so lets get going, and i noticed you were late, what where you doing? Shasta licked her lips and forced herself to make small growl back, giving the Beta a wolfy hello and gave the wolf some false words that she had heard earlier from Gabe's mouth. I did a quick patrol at the far end of the territory and double backed in case I missed anything. I wouldn't put it past the Rohani pack to lead an attack on us under cover of the storm when Leon led the pack on a hunt.. Shasta barely flinched at the lie but was quite impressed with herself for not twitching something she would've down had she been talking to someone who knew half the truth. Besides, not all of enjoy tracking prey down, what if some of us actually prefer to take part in the chase and kill after the tracking is done? She mumbled off at the last part, as if talking to herself, something she often did with these wolves.

Shasta looked down at the water and cocked her head trying to focus on anything but where she had gone. So she imagined running after an elk with the feel of it's blood seeping into her mouth. The imagination actually got her riled up, made her want to actually hunt an elk. She snorted and looked up at the stars before turning to follow the pack's clearly visible trail, albeit at a walking pace. She didn't look at Narissa, she didn't even bother to think like a normal person would do. She just did what a normal sentinel wolf would do in her mind, follow behind the pack as if making sure no one got left behind. She hung her head and her tail low, and walking in a crouched looking gait that actual wolves often did in the real wild. Now she didn't notice it, but when she did that while anyone was watching, they would probably see the fact that the wolf in her had taken over completely.

The wolf reigned and the girl was dying in it's shadow.

Alex McClain

Head back to the den...we will not hunt in this weather.Alex pulled himself out of his work and looked up. He whined and growled at the same, angry yet happy the storm chose this night to come. He was tired but he was also eager to chase down some prey, so he shook out his fur again, feeling more crestfallen than happy. Alright you heard him lets go back, and no taking your time this storm looks like a bad one. He turned to look at Narissa and made a face at her pretending to be angry with her when he was really just teasing her. His tongue was sticking out with his jaws wide open while his right out was closed and the other was scrunched up. He moved his jaw as if talking and mimicked her words thinking she wouldn't see him since he was a little far back and it would take a while for him to come face to face with her. Guess we should have that meeting...huh? Alex snapped his jaws shut and looked at Leon with a normal wolf face. It would be the best timing for it, we also should have someone make sure all the pups are in safely, we shouldnt have anyone out in this storm, dont want anyone getting injured. He unburied the memory of Shasta and saw that she was following along farther back, away from everyone.

Hey Leo Leon why don't you remind that one she needs a den and that maybe she isn't a lone wolf anymore? Alex knew he sounded like he was whining cub for a moment but the werewolf gal... Just seemed different and too... lone wolf for his liking. Different was great in his mind but the girl was just too different and wasn't too different a little dangerous? The wolf in him filled his overprotective head with suspicion and a whole new cautiousness. He licked his lips, barely realizing that his tiredness, eagerness and protective instincts were beginning to form into anger. He glared at the she-wolf purposely looking her in the eyes as he remembered the image of fangs she tossed at him in his head.

Back off. The thought entered his head, invading his thoughts and making him angrier. The coolness of her head connected with his somehow making his anger rise even more. He knew Leon was nearby and so was Nari, so he flicked his gaze away and growled as his hackles went up a little. He layed his ears back and stalked off toward his den.

Shasta Morgans

Shasta was following behind the line of wolves, heading for the dens, er, their dens. She had only been her about a month or so, and had forgotten to make a den when stargazing on a couple of boulders a few yards away from the dens. The boulders always felt a little warmer at nigh and of course it attracted her attention but now, since it was gonna rain, she regretted it now though. Even angry though she looked remote and distant ecpescially now that she was falling farther behind. That is until she felt eyes on her. She growled and looked up to see the Gray Wolf, Alec or Allie, she always forgot his name but his name didn't matter when she felt the anger and distaste radiating off the wolf. She growled and stared back at his, her amber eyes darkening somewhat as she bared her teeth at him. She was female and he was male, but being alone in the wild had always made her tougher than an average wolf would be. Back off.

Shasta thought the words to him and felt her fur standing on edge but forced herself to walk away without a few insulting words at the wolf when he backed down by looking away and turning. She huffed and noticed that he had been talking to Leon. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good with the way "Allie" had been glaring at her. She lowered her head. I'm guessing what the Hunter had spoken to you, wasn't good was it? She asked him as she made her way toward him, slowly and steady.

Piece o' cake he thinks back to Alex. Daniel barks at Tane playfully, Oh, right. You trip over your own paws, twinkle-toes! He turns away at the same time she does, not wanting to be left behind in the competition, and makes his way right up to the Alpha. He moves to the left obediently, looking over the she-wolves with a competitive spark to his eye. The male has always loved competitions, if only because they make for great jokes to hang over the heads of losers- assuming that he wins, of course. Danny tends to always assume that he will win, though; competitions are a lot more fun when you anticipate victory throughout them. He could guess why the competition was split between genders, of course, glancing towards Jonah. Around this time, Shasta began to act strangely, dropping down and becoming seemingly pure-wolf, whilst also sort of ignoring the Alpha and Beta. Danny watched her for a moment, but then turned back to look at Narissa as she promises the killing of the elk to whoever can track it the fastest. He paws at the ground excitedly, confident though he knows that he hasn't the skill of an actual hunter. He knows these woods like the back of his paw, being a scout, and therefore will have some sort of advantage. Before he can make a move, however, Ryker makes a snide comment of sorts towards Daniel and Tane. Being as he is, Danny doesn't respond with any sort of hurt.

Who stepped on your tail, Ryker? He asks cheerfully, eyes still twinkling. He turned and began towards the scent of the elk, but was stopped within a few feet by Leon determining that the hunt would not happen under current poor weather conditions. In disappointment, Daniel's tail dropped for a moment, though it lasted no more before he spun around with a humorous look. I guess you girls have been spared the humiliation of defeat for today, he says teasingly, before following the clearly disappointed Alpha back to the den. As most others seemed to be doing it, the man shifted into a human form, revealing warm blue eyes and dark brown hair. He wore simple jeans and a ratty old T-Shirt that had the name of some human movie or another across the chest. His feet, however, were bare.

Image
Myla's eyes show some sympathy for Jonah, knowing that he holds his guitar as probably his most prized position- he has played her a few chords before, but always seems to get too nervous to finish the song, as he tends to get around females. His sudden look of smugness, though, leads her to blink slightly, not accustomed to such an expression from the somewhat awkward Delta. Before she reacts to a greater extent, Myla's ears perk up towards Leon to listen as he commands that the female wolves move to the right and the males to the left. Behind her, she can smell Tane following her- probably because Myla is actually a hunter, whilst Tane is known for being somewhat. . .clumsy. And for being incredibly stubborn about denying said clumsiness. However, her attention is quickly distracted by Shasta, who grumbles something about some people only wanting to do the killing and not the tracking part. This makes her mentally frown slightly for, despite being in favor of energy conservation, she doesn't exactly approve of this mentality. Being a hunter, she spends much of her days tracking- it is necessary before the killing part of hunting, of course. The fact that Shasta wants to just dodge out on the tedious part and skip back in for the fun part irritates her, because it seems to Myla that she expects to just be handed things on a platter. The huntress looks over at Shasta with some annoyance, though her look gives nothing away because she has always been gifted at masking true opinions and emotions. Such a skill is very useful in easy living.

When Narissa promises the kill to whoever tracks the elk first, Myla can't help but allow her tail to wag very slightly, because elk are her favorite, and first kill tends to mean first bite as well. She is about to move forward towards the potent scent when Akitla begins telling people where to go and such, making her tale fall slightly as she looks over the fellow huntress who has decided to take charge. With an inward sigh, she begins to move towards them when Akitla darts forward, apparently receiving the Alpha's orders somewhat late. Myla has already begun heading back to the den when Akitla realizes and shifts. She shifts about halfway there, walking with ease because she has no dread for storms- rather, she quite likes them, if only the skies were not so clouded by them. The rain is cool, the lightning lovely and the thunder interesting to her. More than anything, Myla loved the sound of rain. She may even be tempted to break her normal role of obedience to go out to the lake and watch the rain fall onto the water if she desires enough to. Her human form has dark chestnut hair that softly curls to a bit past her shoulders, and maintains the intelligent green eyes of her wolf form. She wears a short brown dress and shorts underneath -really more of a shirt and shorts- because movement is easier in these clothing, and they are less uncomfortable when shifting. Her feet are strapped with comfortable sandals. The young woman looks over her shoulder, knowing that Jonah will be a bit behind her as he had stopped to get his guitar. She continues to walk leisurely, enjoying the crunch of leaves beneath her feet and the crisp feel of the pre-rain air on her bare skin.

Shasta Morgans

Shasta was about to answer Leon when he turned and left. She snorted as if thanking god for not having to answer that qustion. She shook out her fur and decided to maybe... Sneak away to go watch the Rohani pack. She stared of into the distance recalling the sight she had got of them before. The idea was suddenly alot more intresting except she whined hearing lots of thoughts run through her head. Something about Rohani, Leon, and traiotrs. The thoughts were bunched up together and really loud for her liking. She followed the lines of thoughts and found Akitla with Narissa and a Rohani pack cub. She let het tongue lolled to the side of her jaws, silent laughter for a wolf. Shasta walked forward not taking part in Narissa and Akitla's conversation. She stuck her nose in the wolf's face, inhaling the scents of other wolves and pulled back to make barking laughter as if amused by the scene and the other Rohani pack members at the far side of the meadow talking while watching. Shasta looked at Narissa and Akitla. Geez, guys. Why don't you just send her back, she is after all still young. She thought irritated for a moment.

Don't bother with them. They're just a bunch of squirrels that got changed into wolves... Well maybe just Narissa was the squirrel and Akitla was the duck. Shasta bent her head to look the younger wolf in the face, her amber eyes becoming the soft eyes of a human for a moment. She paused to look at the mature rohani pack members that were looking at them. She then turned to the young wolf and growled while thinking. Akitla could move against Nari and quickly take the wolf back to it's family but wouldn't she be deemed a traitor just for doing so? Shasta then thought of doing it herself. She could be deemed a traitor but she already was the oddball, what would be the matter? She had nothing to lose. Shasta added up the odds of getting into a fight with Nari and... She had a chance of winning but it wasn't exactly a great idea for a Sentinel to get in a fight with the Beta.

Shasta looked at Akitla and thought directly to the wolf, something she was apparently really good at. Stall the beta while I take her back?Shasta didn't give the hunter a chance to reply because she already jumped forward and tackled the beta in human form. As soon as the pup fell she gently latched her jaws on the pup's scruff and was dashing across the meadow and... Well, aren't you heavy? She made it the entire way there and to the Rohani wolf Ellie something. She let go of the pup and looked at Ella and growled a low whine as if saying please don't attack me.

Reiner

When Eleanor stopped so quickly it made Reiner stumble over his own feet so he wouldn't run into her smaller wolf form. "Alice! We can't just go there, and automatically attack! If it's not an attack. It could be the alpha, trying to make peace with us. Please. Calm down." Reiner couldn't help but scoff. It was highly unlikely Leon would make peace anytime soon now with Alice barging in. He gave a small nod whenever Ella agreed to keep a nose out for Sabine.

It's Sabine! She's with the other wolf!

If Reiner had been in human form all the color would have drained from his face, he suddenly took off after Ella, knowing how protective she was. His jaw clenched as he came upon two wolves, not of his pack. He shifted when Ella did, keeping a calm look on his face but his body language was clearly protective as he stayed close to Ella and Alice. He gave a small grin when Sabine moved towards Ella, but a loud snarl escaped his lips when one picked up Sabine by the scruff.

"You really don't know me then, LEON!"

Reiner quickly tensed as his brown eyes flickered to Ella, knowing she was upset now. "Put. Her. Down." He took a deep breath as he crossed his arms, "If you really want to get the pack, then let me take her place-" Reiner's brow furrowed as he looked at Eleanor with a confused look. "El.." He mumbled, but let her continue. "I'm the alpha's little sister. If anything happened to me, he'd be completely torn up. You can take me, and I'll send away the rest of the pack." Reiner gentle reached out and put a hand on Eleanor's shoulder. They weren't taking Ella, not on Reiner's watch. He promised Gabe he'd keep her save and that's what he was gonna do. He knew Gabriel wouldn't let Molly do this. "Or, if you chose to take the pup, I can have my entire pack here in a second, ready to rip your head off. Most of them are nearby, already in wolf form. A few of them are on their way right now. I'll make sure to let them know you two were the one who started all this. I doubt your alpha will be happy with you for that. I suggest my first option, if you really want to get the alpha." Reiner watched as Ella stood up, he reached out and pulled her back towards him. "I'm sorry, but you aren't getting any members of my pack. Not tonight, at least." He stated calmly to the two girls and the guy who just arrived. How was it he was always drug into this drama?

That's when the one holding the pup was tackled. Reiner couldn't hide the confusion on his face. What was going on? "Take your pup and leave. Next time we won't be so leniant. So better keep your pack on your land or else." Reiner instantly bent down to pick up Sabine, knowing she liked to ride on his shoulders. "We'll keep that in mind." He said smoothly, mentally face palming. Did he seriously just say that? He needed to stop picking up habits from Molly.

Shasta Morgans

Shasta. Den. Now! Shasta growled at Narissa but looked away submitting to the higher ranking wolf. She turned to leave, her shoulders hunched and her head hanging low. Then rain drops began to fall. Great... The dark angry clouds, and the small drizzle was going to get worse and it didn't help that she was already upset with the pack. She was already being looked at like a freak by Alex and the wolf even caused the Alpha to look her way for about a second. The pack thing just wasn't working out for her. She paused to looked back to see Nari arguing with Akitla now and growled before making her way toward the pack dens. Perhaps you could leave? A thought crept into her head and was NOT instantly crushed. The idea was a great idea, but wouldn't that call for a meeting of Elders or something like that? Her old pack just let their pack members leave when they wanted to but that was probably because their numbers had been over twenty. Of course, that was also the reason they were hunted and driven out with fire. Shasta shuddered when she remembered the flames licking at her flanks.

Shasta jumped over a fallen log and stopped to sit near a tree trunk, closer to Nari's den. Thoughts of roaring fire and gun shots filled her head. A crack of lighting lit up the air and she was actually startled into getting to her paws. The storm was probably getting worse, and the idea of leaving was too tempting that she thought of a plan. She didn't have den. If anyone asked she could say that she had found a cave to stay in until the storm passed. When she was really just running out on them. It would so easy to do that. Of course it was beginning to become her actual goal if Nari actually showed up to scold her for being a bad little Stiprus. Or she could run for it now? She could change into her human form and just run. Run until she out of their territory than become a wolf and than really run like hell. Shasta looked at where the pack was and looked back at an opening between trees that clearly led away from the heart of their territory. She could also just head to town... So many ideas and choices she could choose.

Ryker couldn't believe what he was seeing; to threaten the beta of the pack is one thing, to ATTACK her is unthinkable. A wave of anger shot through him. One of his own sentinels too; and in front of members from the other pack. Rykers hands clinched into a tight fist. How embarrassing, how completely humiliating. He followed the wolves from the other pack in silence until they were far enough for him to turn back. The head sentinel made his way towards the den, passing Leon but not stopping for pleasantries.

Ryker... where'd Nessie go?

"Hopefully to put Shasta down like a sick dog." He said through his teeth, "If you need me, I will be standing guard just outside the den until everyone arrives for the meeting."

He didn't wait for the alpha to respond, Ryker knew Leon had other things on his mind. To old wolfs surprise, he calmed down a lot quicker than he thought he would. Now without the anger keeping him warm, the cool rain began to remind him of the coming winter. This will be his thirty second winter, sometimes it feels like twice that. When is the snow going to get here? For a bref moment, Ryker was remembering the winters of the past; mostly good ones, like the last one he shared with his brother. They would wake up the bears from their hibernation and run away as the angry beast would chase them. Ryker laughed inwardly as he recalled the time a mother grizzly actually caught the then young beta, and how his brother saved his hide from being eaten. After that day, his Indian name was Sleeps-With-Bears.

Ryker, still in human form, lowered his head in respect when Leon entered the den followed by Isis. The sentinel watched as she moved into the den, almost missing Narissa storming in the den. She clearly needed to get something off her chest.

... Shit, he forgot about Shasta. Ryker quickly shifted to his wolf form and bolted out to the clearing. Goddamnit where did she go. It wasn't long before his arrived at a large fallen log, the heavy rains made it difficult to see, but he could smell the girl was close.

SHASTA!

SHASTA! The get out of this rain and come with me to the den!

He finally saw her a little ways ahead and trotted to the young sentinel. You look like your thinking of leaving this place... If that's what you want, I won't stop you. I even understand. But let me ask you something, do you even know what it means to be in a pack, to be part of someting greater than yourself?

Akitla had snapped at her, but Isis was relieved to hear that Akitla wasn't so injured that she was pleading. When Akitla managed to get herself from under the branch, Isis dropped it heavily. The burning smell was so obvious now. Her hands were hurting...Akitla probably needed help to get back, so Isis was considering staying human and--

Akitla yelped and Isis jumped, turning to face the now-human Akitla. Why'd she shift?! Isis wondered in surprise. She was cradling her arm and seemed to have another injury as well. Smeared with mud, she hadn't made it very far from the branch. Isis started towards her, but--

A crack of lightning hit the tree. The sound was like a gunshot and Isis cowered, falling backwards onto her butt. Akitla seemed in control of herself, which embarassed Isis a good deal. It might've been that the younger wolf was so much more sure of herself, even when injured... or just the fact that Isis was terrified of loud noises.

"Isis! Go get the others, I'll be fine!" Akitla said, waving her hand at Isis.

"...I..." Isis mumbled, still startled. Her heart was thumping heavily, but Akitla was right about getting the others. Isis frowned. Judging by earlier, she probably wasn't going to be able to get Leon to come, he was too busy to humor her, it seemed... but she was sure Ryker could get Leon to go for Akitla. then she could come back and keep an eye on Akitla. Would the older Sentinel listen to her, Isis wondered. "...Akitla... I'll be back soon." She promised, shifting to her wolf form. I'm not sure if you should stay in your human form...but shifting again might cause a lot of stress, Akitla... please be careful. Isis warned, before shooting off towards the den again.

The rain whipped at her face and Isis realized suddenly, with a start, that she hadn't seen Ryker at the den. He'd been near, but he was leaving... she recalled him calling for Shasta. Shasta... Isis had heard her when she was running back from her scouting expedition. If Isis was correct...

Ah! They're closer than the den! She realized. She made a slight turn, going for Ryker and Shasta. If she got at least one of the two of them to go back to the den, probably Ryker, then Shasta could help her move Akitla out of the way of the tree and probably help her with first aid. Isis hoped that Ryker and Shasta weren't arguing, because she really needed at least one of them to respond to her now. Shasta! Ryker! She called as hard as she could.

Shasta Morgans

Shasta was digging her paws into the ground her amber eyes glowing with anticipation. She could practically feel the trees and bushes flying by until she was- SHASTA! SHASTA! Get out of this rain and come with me to the den! Shasta growled and looked at Ryker when he was close enough for her to see. You look like your thinking of leaving this place... If that's what you want, I won't stop you. I even understand. But let me ask you something, do you even know what it means to be in a pack, to be part of someting greater than yourself? Shasta paused for a moment and instinctively buried herself deeper into her head, closing off all ties with any pack members. She was a wall of steel if anyone tried to speak to her through their heads. She would be cold, hard and emotionless if they even got through the giant steel wall she had around her. She glared at Ryker. He said he wouldn't stop her if she left. Good, she thought to herself before turning and loping into the forest. The farther she got from them physically, the farther she'd get from them mentally. She had learned that with her home pack.

Shasta was hiding something, and she was glad that no one had really qustioned her when she first joined the pack. No one had seemed intrested in the lone wolf deciding to join a pack. A minute passed and two minutes passed. Shasta was heading in the opposite direction of where Leon was, but she was completely unaware of the problems they had or what she was going to have. She was angry, and frustrated and the emotions blinded her from seeing the path she was taking. She was about to start running through Rohani territory heading for God knows what. The stupid secret was a burden and it was what had held her back from completely becoming a part of Leo's pack. And so she snapped at the trees and everything that came into veiw and reach. She was stupid. She was stupid to keep herself from letting out her secret that was so clearly poisoning her life. If she didn't let go of the old feelings and pains, she'd just continue on a self destruct path. She was going to crash and burn... And she didn't seem to care.

Alex McClain

Alex was in his den curled up in his wolf form and dreaming of steak... Oh, and with maybe some ladies. It was coming to his favorite part when a physic scream went through his head. He jumped up and bared his teeth at nothing. His den was dark, but even with his night vision there was no one in here. He shook his head, exasperated with himself for not realizing that the trouble was coming through the pack's thoughts. He walked out of his den to see... No one. Where had everyone gone? He yawned still trying to wake himself up. Oh my... Akitla remind to never go hunting for fish again... Freaking fishies kicked my as- He cut the thought off when he realized Akitla wasn't in the pack web of thoughts. Panic began to set in when he tried to focus. Leon! Leo! Wheres Akitla!? He whined as he paused waiting for Leon to reply.

Alex whined again. Something was wrong, and if Akitla was in the middle she must be upset or angry or both. He growled at himself for not being more inttune with his friend's emotions. But if something was wrong like something was harming her... He had to do something. If Akitla, his best friend left who was going to watch Jet Li movies with him? Who was going to help him learn chinese? He growled and was about to faint with not knowing where his friend was.

[size=150]Shasta Morgans

Shasta was running, her heart beating in rythm with her paws digging into the soft earth. It was easy to breathe, to think, and not feel confined inside her own head. It was safe to think about things like the Rohani wolves like they were okay, to even think of raiding human farms for an easy meal and even wandering into town. It was safe, but it didn't feel safe to think here. That is until she heard a bit whining nearby, she pulled herself to a stop, throwing up dirt. She looked her around, her ears straining to locate the sound of the soft whimpers. There. She lifted her nose and followed the whimpers back to a female wolf with blue eyes. The wolf from the problem with Sabine, Akitla and Nari. She was a lone wolf now and had no superiors, or followers. Her tail went down into a submissive gesture, but her head held high she sniffed the hunter trap clutched around the Rohani's leg.

Shasta growled deep in her throat, remembering gunshots and vengeful flames that roared for blood. She licked the bleeding leg before shifting into her human form. It looked like the normal mouth full of spikes for teeth looking ones, they were easy to take apart, if that person had the strength. She looked at it from several different veiws and gently moved it so she could twist the screw hiding the pins, then started to twist both at the same time. Now these screws were tightened good, and her fingernails were starting to bleed. After awhile she removed them and saw the pins that held the jaws together. She muttered a curse under her breath as she looked at her bloody fingers before trying to forcefully yank the pins out without hurting the victim. Come on, come on. She was able to pull one pin out halfway, and the pin wasn't even half way. It would have to do. Her finger nails were already abouts to fall off. She put her hands between the contraption of what little space there was between them. She breathed for a minutes or see before pulling the mouths apart, it's teeth digging into her palms and fingers. Her own blood seeped out but the contraption pulled apart slowly. She grunted and snarled, torn between anger and pain. "Pull your leg out now!"
