"It's... hard to describe. The feel of blood dripping down your throat as someone slashes it with the cold, tapered steel of a blade. Or was it a gun he shot me with? No, actually. Neither of them. It believe it was a noose. Yes, a noose. Actually, I can't remember it that well, maybe some other time?".

The blue-haired man smiled lightly at the lady sitting opposite him, sipping her red wine and pretending to be more sophisticated and classy than she really was. Alex knew her true form, though. She worked down the street as a prostitute, although he didn't care. He owned a large business and owned his own private mansion filled with attractive and entertaining servants of his own. Surely they couldn't be trained in the art of knife or bow, they said. Indeed, most of them were not. But poison is another thing entirely. Sure enough, Alex would lure rich men there with the premise of fame and fortune, actually, no. It was practically anyone who could fulfill Alex's desires that were drawn into his net of lies and agony. Male, female, transgender. Any and all would fall into Alex's trap as he promised them more than they could imagine, and in all honesty, he could deliver if he really wanted. Being an Immortalis that has lived as long as he meant he had power, and he didn't shy from stooping that low in his acts.

Alex sighed, and spoke again. "Oh yes, it was a brutal, devastating fight that lasted well over a few days. In all honesty I couldn't quite comprehend it myself, but I'm fully aware that it indeed did happen". Alex set his own glass on the table, and leaned over to the womans ear, beginning to speak of the beauty of being one of his servants and how she could achieve all of her dreams if she simply did everything he told her to. That's it, you see? Alex had anything and everything you could dream of thanks to his Demonic Majesty, the Devil. Alex smirked as she grinned and spoke back to him, showing him what he wanted.

Submission.

Alex was odd, in the fact that his hair was blue and his eyes had a habit of changing color when he was using his powers and when he wasn't. They were usually a beautiful, sparkling blue with golden dots in them, but when enraged or in a battle they changed to a deep, blazing crimson hue. Tall and pale, his blue hair and red eyes stood out remarkably, and he held himself in the way only a refined, charismatic man could. He smiled as he helped his companion into the carriage, Alex's own, and they were off to his mansion. Only Alex knew what would be happening next.

"And now, the fun begins~".

Jared made himself comfortable in Alex's mansion. He needed his services and knew that at one point he would return back to his mansion with a toy to play with. Jared was first in the kitchen, looking through the cabinets. Nothing there. Well... nothing that Jared liked. Then he headed into the main bedroom. Alex's bedroom. Jared looked through his things, looking for any dirty secrets. Jared was a bad boy and he knew it. He loved to make people's lives a living hell. Jared soon had to return to his place as king, but he wanted to bother Alex before he would do that.

Jared was quickly bored and left the bedroom. He should be coming soon... Jared said to himself. Sure enough, he heard the sounds of galloping footsteps nearing the mansion. Adrenalin raced through his veins as faded into his own shadow and appeared into the main lobby. Teleportation through shadows was probably his favorite power out of all the ones he had. It allowed him to just move from one spot to the other. The darker the place, the more places he could move.

Alex sat in one of the seats in the carriage, watching his next toy blabber on about how she was thrilled to be with him and how she'd dreamed of this moment. Alex had heard the same story many times before, and this time was even more prolonged and annoyingly detailed. "I grew up on a small farm, and when I heard about you I just knew that you would be in my life, somehow!". Alex smiled a little, memories of happier times dancing before his eyes. "Seventeen... killed by his best friend. Brutally. Violently. Bloodily". The girl stopped speaking and gazed at Alex. "W-What?". Alex simply smiled at her. "They told me that he tore my instestines out and strangled my little sister with them, too". Alex sighed, grabbing a wine bottle and skulling the whole thing. "Alcohol sure does help, ya know?".

Soon enough, the carriage was stopped outside the entrance to Alex's Mansion, and he smiled. The Phoenix Mansion was grandiose, large and brilliantly made, comprising of several stories both above and below ground, a massive garden, outhouse and a Guard Post, among other things. Alex didn't waste time with many things, he could feel the presence of another Immortali within his Mansion. A strong, powerful, dark aura emanating from the Lobby. Alex turned to the girl he'd brought with him. "Talk to Helena, one of the chief maids. She will direct you from there~". Alex smiled, and turned to walk away. The girl spoke. "Where are you going?". Alex didn't even turn around, instead his features twisted evilly, his wide grin showcasing suddenly razor-like teeth and his eyes turned a horrfying crimson.

"I'm going to meet with an old friend".

~~~
Alex grinned as he entered the lobby and found none other than the Dark Champion of the Devil, Jared Halton, standing before him. Alex didn't even bow, instead walking over to Helena and pointing out the new girl to her, watching Helena run off to fix her up for Alex's playtime later that day. Alex grinned, observing the wine in his glass move as he played with the glass, before speaking. "What brings you here, may I ask?". Alex had known that Jared would appear, because even he could sense the small, but somehow growing aura emanating from the forest. The aura was pure, and it made Alex frustrated. "So, we have more Immortali of God on our hands, do we?". Alex grinned, taking a sip of the wineglass and speaking again. "What brings you here, my friend?". Alex then turned, grinning devilishly, his features once again twisted into an expression of anticipation and devilish glee. "And more importantly.... What is it that you require?~".
"Who goes? If you do not come in Pax...I wish that you leave me to my mourning."
It had been simple to escape from the Mansion, Jared seeming unreactive to Alex's presence, but Alex had grown bored of waiting and decided to pay a visit to one of the God's Immortali. All Alex had to do was sit down on the couch, and much like Darius could, create a doppelganger of himself. Although the difference between their powers was that Alex could take full control of his doppelganger, and simply put his real body into a transitive state as he used his doppelganger to travel. He had flown over the lands, practically sniffing out the Immortali's aura and had found her standing near a Pond. Alex landed in the trees, cloaking the shadows around him as to conceal himself for when the time was right. She'd noticed him, however, and Alex's cheshire-cat esque grin could be seen, along with his glowing, crimson eyes. Alex kept his powers hidden, and simply dropped down from the trees, brushing a stray twig off of his arm and smiling as his eyes changed to their natural blue. "Hello there, miss. Quite an... interesting place you've chosen to come to by yourself". Alex smiled, eyeing the girl curiously. Her flaming red hair was a lot like his fire, and her eyes were unique like his own. She was shorter than him by far, and her pale complexion was even paler than his own, somehow. Alex's eyes trailed to the bow she had slung over her shoulder, and he smiled politely. "Please, I am not here to harm you. May I ask your name?".
Alex smiled, as the girl replied, and he looked at the Pond regardless of her answer, closing his eyes and breathing deeply. "This place.... Something seems to have happened here...". Alex's right eye opened. "And you.... Nevermind. I don't want to bring up bad memories for you. As I said, I'm not here to harm you". Alex smiled again, this time directing it at the girl. "May I ask why you're here, Miss?".
Vega shook off her feeling of dread when she spotted two red orbs and a grin out of the corner of her eye, but by the time she had even blinked they had vanished. She shuddered as the other being dropped down from the trees, her small feet already shifting her away and to the side a little until she was comfortable with the distance between her and the strange male. She bit her tongue to quash the sudden wave of fear that almost robbed her of her common sense. Vega blinked, suspicious and incredibly wary of him as he smiled and she found herself having to look up quite a way because of how much he physically dwarfed her.
"Hello there, miss. Quite an... interesting place you've chosen to come to by yourself." She considered not answering him, but then thought better of it as she would not want to be rude, despite his frightening intrusion.
"Hello...sir. It is not at all an interesting place unless you know of the pond's story I'm afraid." She said in a carefully modulated voice that was slightly husky in places. Her eyes then flicked back to the water, another shiver going through her as she noticed that the ducks had long escaped.
"Please, I am not here to harm you. May I ask your name?" She let out a long slow breath, weighing up her chances of escaping without this stranger knowing her name. With a careful and deliberate hand she reached up and tucked some of her wavy locks behind her left ear, she had long ago come to terms with the silvery-pink scar tissue that resided on her temple.
"My name...It's been so long since I've mentioned my name to someone living. I have unfortunately almost forgotten it you see. I do remember my nickname however, it is Pax." She said wryly, knowing that he'd most likely see right through the misdirection, although truth was mixed with untruth here so it could confuse him.
His presence unsettled her equilibrium, and not in a way that she thought was good. He was an incredible threat, even she could sense it as the danger curled about her like smoke. "This place.... Something seems to have happened here..." As his right eye opened, she stared right at him, her eyes dark with a mix of fear and wary respect. He was probably much much older than her, and as dangerous as a baby pit viper, even if that pit viper was probably tempting.
"And you.... Nevermind. I don't want to bring up bad memories for you. As I said, I'm not here to harm you" She laughed softly and ducked her head a little, as if to hide from his scrutiny. "May I ask why you're here, Miss?"
"Something did indeed happen here, a long time ago a man murdered his wife because she lost their child. He threw her into the pond and it froze over that night." She swallowed and then raised her head again, no tears or any such foolish nonsense. "Why am I here...I am mourning both my own loss, and the loss of my child." She then looked up at him and arched an eyebrow, her pale pink lips pulling up slightly at one corner.
"Surely you did not sniff me out because you were bored...and isn't it always said, to first do good...is to do no harm? You might just get in trouble for talking to me." She teased before walking further away from him, around the edge of the pond.
Alex smirked. "Me? Get in trouble with you?~ Oh my, what a delightful fantasy you have, my dear~". Alex grinned wider, opening both eyes as they changed to blue. "....Ice....". Alex smirked, clicking his fingers as a small flame appeared above his hands, and he began to mold it into many things. A box, then a shield, then an axe, and then a violin. Alex smirked, snuffing out the flame and then holding out his hand, yet another violin appearing in it.
"I'm much better at expressing things with music than with words, I must admit. But surely one such as yourself, that has suffered such a loss, can understand the monster that stands before you?". Alex smiled lightly, putting the violin to his neck, and beginning to play. The sound was timid at first, slow and sad as he played a sweet melody that was drenched in sorrow and the feeling of guilt and bitterness. "I was Seventeen, and I'd met a girl. Long ago I believed in soulmates, and I believed she was mine". Alex played a bit faster, the music changing into a more beautiful, upbeat sound as he did so. "Seventeen, and I'd inherited my Father's Businesses and Fortune, and was one of the most well-known people in Europe". Alex's playing once against grew sombre, as he continued. "My best friend, James D'Franc was jealous of me and the life I lived, so on the night before my Eighteenth Birthday, he came to me, and put a knife against my throat. And then...". Alex then stopped with one jagged, gut-wrenching note. "It took me three mintues to fully die, and in that time I witness my love stolen from me, and my little Sister, Ange, was murdered...". Alex began playing again, the sound echoing throughout the small clearing. "I watched as James disembowled me, and then wrapped my intestines around poor, little Ange's throat...".
"Then I had to listen to her squeals and screams and the sounds of her struggling as she called out for my help... 'Brother, Alex! Help! Plea-....'... After that, I heard her draw her final breath, and then.... She was gone....". Alex stopped playing, and locked eyes with the girl he knew as Pax. "James dropped her cold, lifeless corpse right next to mine". Alex then went silent, playing the violin and letting a soft, melancholic melody float through the night as he did, his eyes fixed on a spot on the ground as he let out a sigh. A few minutes later, the violin vanished.
"Unfortunately for us, you are a God's Immortalis, and I am a Devil's Immortalis". Alex laughed lightly. "I do hope we don't end up having to fight....". Alex looked down, and then back up at Pax. "Unless of course, you're.... afraid~". Alex smirked, obviously sensing her fear of him, and he decided to twist it to his advantage. Alex raised his hand, fire abruptly bursting from it and hurtling towards Pax, only to stop a few meters from her face and then dissipate into nothing. Behind the pillar of flame, Alex had vanished, before appearing behind Pax and speaking. "Peek-a-boo~". And then, he was gone again.
Vega shook her head in response to his smirk, a slight laugh coming from her as he teased her back.
"Me? Get in trouble with you?~ Oh my, what a delightful fantasy you have, my dear~" Her breaths were starting to make little puffs of white as the temperature dropped a little.
"Believe me sir...it is no fantasy of mine to die again so soon because of men. It is against practicality but I must ask, what's your name? You know what I can find of mine." She retorted and she licked her lips to keep them moist in the autumn wind before they curved into a faint smile.
"....Ice...." After he clicked, she watched with a slight fascination as he molded the small flame into various different things before he killed it so easily.
"I might be ice..." She teased slightly, sensing that he had only showed one facet of his gifted powers.
A second violin appeared and she blinked before seeing his game, a polite look coming onto her face as he spoke.
"I'm much better at expressing things with music than with words, I must admit. But surely one such as yourself, that has suffered such a loss, can understand the monster that stands before you?" Vega gave him the benefit of the doubt and listened to his sound, closing her eyes so that she was listening to him and him alone. "I was Seventeen, and I'd met a girl. Long ago I believed in soulmates, and I believed she was mine" She smiled softly as the song sped up and the song began to sound a lot happier. "Seventeen, and I'd inherited my Father's Businesses and Fortune, and was one of the most well-known people in Europe" Her ears picked up the key changes and the more sombre tones starting to come across once again. "My best friend, James D'Franc was jealous of me and the life I lived, so on the night before my Eighteenth Birthday, he came to me, and put a knife against my throat. And then..." The jagged note made her suck in a breath and instinctively touch the side of her neck.
"It took me three mintues to fully die, and in that time I witness my love stolen from me, and my little Sister, Ange, was murdered..."
"You had it a lot harder than I, in one respect." She murmured softly, unable to quash the horrible sorrow...until he described how his own intestines had been used to strangle his own sister. "I watched as James disembowled me, and then wrapped my intestines around poor, little Ange's throat..." Vega felt sick to her stomach, but held it back, only allowing the sorrow to show on her face. Envy of others, was one of the seven deadly sins for this very reason and it was for this reason that she had to keep listening. She owed him the simplest of respect although having just met him.
"Then I had to listen to her squeals and screams and the sounds of her struggling as she called out for my help... 'Brother, Alex! Help! Plea-....'... After that, I heard her draw her final breath, and then.... She was gone...." Her eyes opened and for the first time in over five hundred years, she thought about her own siblings. They were long gone, their life force reabsorbed by the constantly changing world, for redistribution to either heaven or hell. Tears started to gather in her eyes as he said the end to his tale. "James dropped her cold, lifeless corpse right next to mine" She kicked at a clump of grass and questioned whether or not she should trust him.
"If it helps you feel any better, at least you weren't a parent being left behind while your child chooses which path in the afterlife they want to take. You went with your sister and your love." She said simply, her voice coming out raw as she thought of the baby before...the little girl. Well, she had hoped at the time the little life had been a girl. She had not meant any offense, but what she had said could have been deemed inflammatory...pardoning the pun of course.
"Unfortunately for us, you are a God's Immortalis, and I am a Devil's Immortalis" The atmosphere changed right there and she knew exactly how dangerous he could be.
"I could have gone either way, I could have resented him and been a Devil's Immortalis. But I don't think I wanted to hate my killer for the rest of my new life. All have good in them, but some have more than others at times." She then gave him a wry look as he mentioned fighting.
"I do hope we don't end up having to fight...." Vega twitched as he looked down, then straight back up at her and the fear almost broke free. Just a little longer.....she just wanted enough control not to scream at him and run away senselessly into the trees.
"I do honestly believe in myself when I say this, if we ever fought, I know that you would be my end. I don't mind that, you have more than you're letting on...and I respect you for that." She responded, another one of her pesky shivers running through her body as he called her out on her fear.
"Unless of course, you're.... afraid~" She watched him, her eyes almost dark brown as she felt the fear lurking and pacing just below her skin as she dipped her hand in the cold pond water.
"I fear all men, you are not the first, nor the last to scare me." She admitted freely, gripping her tunic-dress tightly in her dry hand. His fire hurtling straight towards her, she made a horizontal movement with her wet hand and then a vertical one in its center. However before she could use the frozen cross to split the flame, said flame vanished into nothing. She was about to laugh at his vanishing act, but let out a terrified squeak as he spoke from behind her.
"Peek-a-boo~" She whirled and then frowned, he had once again disappeared.
"Don't you think we're both too old to play like this? I know that you were younger than me when you died, but you are older than me in terms of being an Immortalis...so shouldn't you be the mature one?" She called out, completely believing that this wasn't very fun. She gulped as the fear rose to such a degree that she was about to cry. Wouldn't you if you knew you were about to be practically tormented by something you feared?
Alex grinned as he reappeared nearby, laughing lightly before vanishing completely, his voice ringing out across the clearing. "And it is that age that has made me so prone to trying to entertain myself in any way I can, Pax~". Alex was still not visible, and he then went silent, seeming to almost disappear from the clearing until another pillar of fire burst forth, right in front of Pax as it flew at her full speed, this time only vanishing when it singed her a little, if it did. Alex remained invisible, and spoke. "And I thank you for your respect, and you are probably the only God's Immortalis that has stopped and actually listened to my past instead of rushing in to their death as they usually do~".
Alex reappeared once again, smiling. "Although I must admit, you're not the usual 'all bulk-no brains' type they send to fight me~".
Vega sighed softly as the man reappeared and then disappeared again, his voice echoing in the clearing and she almost thought that she had completely made him up.
"And it is that age that has made me so prone to trying to entertain myself in any way I can, Pax~" She blinked as she found that he had a very good point, however...she could play games to. If she was so inclined to of course.
"Entertaining yourself in any way you can...what an interesting notion. So...if I wanted to play a different sort of game with you, would you be interested?" Vega called out just before another pillar of fire came speeding towards her. She stumbled, twisting her body a little too far and she ended up in the pond with a large splash, her rear and hands sinking into inky black mud. She sat in the sword grass for a moment before trying to pull herself out, one small hand coming out looking like something from a horror tale as she only just managed to keep from getting it sliced by the sharp leaves.
"And I thank you for your respect, and you are probably the only God's Immortalis that has stopped and actually listened to my past instead of rushing in to their death as they usually do~" She pulled her other hand out and then stopped, realising that her rear would be covered in the same yucky mud. So instead of getting out, she stayed put and tolerated the cold water as it soaked into her tunic-dress and her cheeks slowly turned a rosy pink in embarrassment.
"I would prefer not to die in a cat and mouse game sir. You have still not told me your name, and I would greatly appreciate an equal disclosure of information in terms of names." She said, wrinkling her nose as she noticed a frog eyeing her from among the grass. The man reappeared with a smile on his face and one of her eyebrows rose as he spoke.
"Although I must admit, you're not the usual 'all bulk-no brains' type they send to fight me~" She stared up at him for a moment before bursting out laughing her entire demeanour changing for that brief moment when her amusement outshone her fear.
"You.....oh my goodness...no one sent me to my own murder site, I visit when I choose to. Besides, you're the one who came after me, my good man." She pointed out, tilting her head to the side a little. "Unfortunately though...I cannot play any more as I am conveniently stuck and I shall stay this way for however long you are present." She added in an almost baleful tone, somehow her fear fading slightly despite his overtly threatening position.
[Sorry for the late reply, but I got kinda busy with irl stuff D= ]
Alex grinned at the girl who was stuck in the Mud at his feet, and he spoke. "A while away there is another fight between our kinds. God's Immortalis versus Devil's Immortalis. It is three versus one in God's favour, yet I'm sure that my companion, Darius, would be able to handle them with ease when he started trying. I myself am not the sort of person who would openly go out and hunt, for I have things to lose and I would rather not lose them". Alex smiled. "And besides, I could pull you out of said Mud if I wished, but if you don't wish to fight, we won't. Like I said, I'm not here to fight, only to observe". Alex's grin widened. "And maybe, just maybe, toy with you~". Alex sighed, and turned away. He looked up at the stars and smiled, turning once again to Vega, and grinning widely, his teeth now sharp as knives and gleaming in the moonlight as his powerful, crimson eyes locked with hers, giving an even more ominous feeling than before. He tapped his chin, his fingernails now seeming impossibly sharp as he did so.
"Hmm~ I believe I shall go observe Darius' fight instead. Please, don't mind me leaving. I'm just going to entertain myself in any way I can, even if that involves watching a lesser brute fight some pathetic God's Immortalis to pass the time". Alex grinned wider, and turned away. "Oh. I almost forgot". Alex then turned back around, striding straight over to Vega and hovering just above the icy surface of the water, peering down and placing his face next to hers. "You can call me 'Omega', Miss Endzela~". Alex smirked and turned away, speaking freely as he did so. "You say you believe in the good in people...". Alex's face was half angled at Vega, so she could see some of his features, and they seemed to be melancholic, full of despair but yet not. Alex sighed once more, and continued. "... But what if all they are is pure evil?". With that, Alex vanished into the night.
Aegis pulsed darkly, and Darius flinched. He knew an omen when he saw one, and now wasn't a good time to tempt fate. He sheathed his sword, and bowed to the real Asher, both in honor and in jest.
"Well, as fun as this has been, I must be on my way. We shall have to do this again sometime, eh? Til then, bonus gladii et bellas.(Good swords and wars.)" With that, he clapped his hands, and pure darkness formed in them as a perfect sphere that seemed to reject all light. He spread his hands out, and the ball expanded, encompassing half the forest in black. As it expanded, Darius slipped into the darkness, using it as a portal straight to the Tyrant's manor. After a few seconds, the darkness had dissipated into nothingness, leaving only the Immortali and the angel, the scratches on the trees from the shadows clashing the only proof that any of the previous events had actually happened.
As he poured out of the shadow of a pillar in the Tyrant's manor, he gasped, and coughed up blood. Using that much darkness at once could be taxing, even to one who wielded the darkness as much as he. Still, one had to keep up appearances, lest he be seen as weak. He stood up, and stared at Aegis. It had warned him something bad would have happened if he had stayed, but now he had to question what it was that had led him to believe that, or even why it had bothered. So far, the only times it had used it's power was to protect itself... So chances were it was making sure it didn't fall into the hands of one less devoted to the shadows as he. And going through the mental list in his head led him to only one who would not only have decided he might watch, but would have been foolish enough to believe Darius a dullard, and thus one who might make a mistake and fall.
"Alexander." he muttered, and Angelbane groaned in her scabbard, in protest against the name. No doubt, the man was good with a scythe, but such an unwieldy thing was not going to be Darius' weapon of choice. Also, the boy reveled in getting attention, which sickened him. Sure, being known was nice, but only after you had earned it by striking fear into the enemy's heart, for no one forgets that which scares them. But what disgusted Darius the most about the brat was his being so... effeminate. Satan, it was like the boy REVELED in the fact that he looked like he couldn't defeat anyone in a test of strength. And painted fingernails, what man paints his nails and then thinks himself worthy to keep the title?
Aella woke up on the ground, having fallen from the tree. Her eyes were slightly blurred and she rubbed them viciously as she tried to clear her head and rememebr what had happened. Around her were sounds of a scuffle but she was too confused to identify where and from whom. Her arm throbbed vengfully and she looked at it; swollen and multi-colored. It must have caused her so much pain she'd passed out. Aella hadn't realized that could actually happen before now. Glancing around she saw the barbaric warrior she'd been fighting choking on the ground, writhing around as he tried to breathe. Walking up to him slowly, Aella drew back another arrow and speared him through the jugular, putting the mn out of his misery. But before her eyes he faded into shady dust and faded away, leaving nothing behind. 'It was a trick!' she thought, 'This was no man; but a shadow clone!' Her eyes grew wide and her focus grew clearer as she whipped her head side to side, searching for it's creator, her water knife forming in the hand belonging to her uninjured arm. If she couldn't shot, she could at least stab. 'Now where is it's master...?'
"My, my, my. What have we here?". Alex sat on a branch of a fairly large tree, observing the fight with something that resembled interest. He grinned as he watched Darius vanish, and spoke. "Aww, and to think, I only wanted to watch the fight. What a shame~". Alex shook his head, taking in the sight of the people left in the clearing. Alex smirked, his eyes instinctively being drawn to Asher as he recognised him. Alex's bored expression immediately changed, and his eyes lit up with amusement. "Well, look who it is. The king dethroned finally decided to show himself, hmm?~". Alex's vision then moved over to Eva, and hs eyes widened momentarily in shock. Amusement was written all over his face as he took in the massive sense of the 'Holy Spirit' that she had, and he would've figured out what she was at the second, but unfortunately, someone tackled him out of the tree, and into plain sight of the group. Alex tucked and rolled, leaping away and landing expertly on the tip of a sharp rock, smirking slightly. "My, my~ Someone wants to play a game, it seems". Alex turned to Asher, still smirking, and suddenly shadows rose up, wrapping around the God's Immortalis and stopping him from interveining (Unless he breaks out, or something xD). Alex didn't bother with the angel or the other Immortalis, he simply raised a hand at his opponent, and waggled a finger mockingly. "Come at me, bro~".
The man charged at Alex with a mighty roar, thrusting his blade straight at Alex as falling into Alex's palm, slamming into it as the Devil's Immortalis threw it straight into his face. The man staggered backwards and was thrown across the clearing. Alex laughed, and spoke. "Oopsie~". The man stood, and charged again, causing Alex to laugh. "Like I said, mindless brutes are always sent for me, I swear". The man leaped into the air and swung his blade down at Alex, who stopped it with only his pointer finger, grinning wider. "Kuro, impale". Suddenly, tendrils of darkness grew around Alex, and they slammed into the man before brutally tearing him apart, bit by bit. Alex grinned, covered in blood and he turned to the others.
"Hai~".
The shadows around Aella swirled, and the clone stepped out, it's head taking the form of a wolf.
"Bad move, girl. If you had let me die, I'd be out of your hair for good right now. But you aren't the one I hold quarrel with anymore. After all, you just freed me. The Immortalis that's fighting your leader, I do. Now, if you'll pardon me, someone is going to get hurt fast."
With that, he grabbed the tendrils of darkness that Alex was using with his power and turned them towards Alex, also forcing the binds on Asher to release, the shadows listening to the one that knew them better, and spoke to them in their dark tongue.
"HELLO, ALEX! CARE FOR A BEATING? BECAUSE I'M JUST IN THAT KIND OF MOOD!" The clone yelled, it's rage at the girly brat in front of it tempered only by it's cleverness. It knew that Alex would think it a brute, and therefore try to outwit him, which would be a fatal mistake. The clone wasn't in a good mood, and Alex was the path of most resistance.
Meanwhile, back at the manor, Darius cursed in a language few who walk this world know. His clone had been released from it's binds, and it wasn't going to listen to reason, just what it thought right. And as brawn with brains, Darius was fully aware of what it was capable of doing. He thanked Satan for not having the two share their total pool of magic, and hoped it would run itself dry.
Alex smirked, turning the bonds around on the Shadowy clone, smirking, "Did you honestly think that I'd use Shadow that I knew would let themselves be used by another? Surely you don't think that I'm unintelligent enough to do that~". Alex's smirk grew wider as the tendrils vanished and he held out his hand as fire burst out of it. "Since I'm sure you can't utilise fire, I guess I'll just have to use it for this....". Alex sighed. "But I can tell that you have no intentions on settling this peacefully, do you?". Alex knew the answer, and his eyes changed to red as he fixated them on the clones head, the disgust showing on his face as he took in it's form. "Darius is someone I respect. I don't believe I'll let a mockery of him live for very long, no matter how much it entertains me to do so~". Alex smirked, and motioned for the clone to charge at him.
"Kill me, if you can~".
The clone nodded, and grinned.
"So you made it easy for me and stood still? You're a kind one." As he spoke, he pointed to Alex's feet, his own shadow holding him down by the ankles.
"No matter what you do, there is always a shadow, however small, right by your side. Ready to follow... And ready to betray." The clone let a swarm of tendrils form in his hand, and then fired them off like arrows from a repeater crossbow... That fired 10 arrows per second.
"TELL ME, EUNUCH," he yelled, gleefully tearing up the forest with tendrils that missed their marks, "EVER WONDER HOW IT FEELS TO BE LEFT IN THE DARK ABOUT THINGS?" At this, each tendril he had fired connected to every other tendril fired by a pure black line. From above, this would be the shape of a pentagram 30 yards across. As the last tendril connected, the entire area went pitch black again, light simply refusing to exist inside the pentagram. The clone laughed in glee.
"DO YOU FEEL THAT, ASINUS? IT'S THE VOID, THAT WHICH NO ONE KNOWS! YOU CAN'T HIT WHAT YOU CAN'T SEE, AND YOUR FIRE CAN ONLY PROVIDE HEAT IN THE DARKNESS, NOT LIGHT! I, HOWEVER, CAN SEE JUST FINE, THANKS TO MY CREATOR'S UNRIVALED SKILL IN DARKNESS!"
Alex smirked as the darkness unfolded around him, and spoke. "Your creator may be unrivalled in the manipulation of Darkness, Clone. But I can see just fine in here. Did you honestly not expect that? And these tendrils that are inside of me? I'm simply using them to boost my own darkness powers. And besides. Why would I use my Fire abilities in here when you're out there?~". As if on queue, several pillars of fire appeared, charging straight at the clone and burning anything and everything in their way. The fire was superheated and singed the trees around the clearing, causing copious amounts of steam to leave the ground and the oxygen to burn up as they flew towards their target.
Alex sighed. "And besides. Your master's Darkness abilities are unrivaled. NOT yours~". That's when Alex melted, his form popping back up from the shadow of a tree behind the clone as he summoned Kuro, his Scythe, and slashed at said Clone. "Let's play, then~".
"Hmph." was all that came out of his mouth when the Devil's Immortalis went away into darkness, leaving only his clone and Asher's behind. Just then, two things happened. One of them being that another Devil's Immortalis had joined in on the fight. Asher's clone had rushed in and tackled him, only to be brutally murdered. Asher and Dark Asher stared at the whole scene unfolding, and Asher said "I don't fight like that... Nor do I roar..."
"That's my battle cry and battle strategy." Dark Asher said, with a hint of annoyance.
Then the other was that a storm started, much like when Aella was running for Asher. Lightning struck a tree, and it started to burn. Asher turned to the burning tree and instantly froze it by running to it and placing an Ice Tag on it, preventing the fire to spread. "Dark Asher! Take care of those bastards!" Asher yelled at his darkself before running through the woods, yet again. "Tch... Of all the things to happen to me... I bet the last rebel leader didn't experience this when he went off recruiting God's Immortali..." Asher mumbled to himself, then yelled into the darkness, "AELLA! AELLA WHERE ARE YOU?!" He started running again to another spot, hoping that it was closer to the lost Immortalis's location. Asher yelled for her name again.
Meanwhile, Dark Asher nodded as Asher shouted the commands. Normally, the darkside wouldn't take orders, but he needed to get back into battle. After all... It's been far too long sitting in his mind while he weeps and cries like a baby... Dark Asher thought as he drew Infernal Blizzard and charged into the battle between the famed "Omega" and the shadow clone. The wind slapped his face, but he didn't care. Dark Asher made a fireball in his hands, a black one, and threw it at the two fighters.
Vega shook her head as he grinned at her and spoke.
"A while away there is another fight between our kinds. God's Immortalis versus Devil's Immortalis. It is three versus one in God's favour, yet I'm sure that my companion, Darius, would be able to handle them with ease when he started trying. I myself am not the sort of person who would openly go out and hunt, for I have things to lose and I would rather not lose them." She raised one of her eyebrows before the sun completely died in a spectacular display, almost like his threatening behaviour, for a moment.
"You hold so much faith in your comrades...and yet, you go only to observe. I thought I'd never see a pacifist Devil's Immortalis." She said, her false bravado pushing her up so much that she smacked the water and sent up silvery 'splashes' of ice which thudded into the grass on the shore and shattered when it met the frozen water around her small fist.
"And besides, I could pull you out of said Mud if I wished, but if you don't wish to fight, we won't. Like I said, I'm not here to fight, only to observe". She sighed dramatically as he said he could pull her out of the mud if he wished to do so and she tilted her head to the side as he turned away for a moment to look up at the star before turning back to her again. "And maybe, just maybe, toy with you~" His teeth now incredibly sharp, and his blood red eyes boring into hers for a moment before Vega's survival mode kicked in at his more menacing look.
"My good sir, it is I whom have played with you. You have shown me your parlour tricks and I have shown you very little. Though undoubtedly you have more up those shadowy sleeves, we are both at a semi-peaceful state and you are no threat to me at this current hour. The claws and teeth are a nice touch though." Her voice quavered only minutely, the fear still there as she forced herself to keep staring up at him resolutely.
"Hmm~ I believe I shall go observe Darius' fight instead. Please, don't mind me leaving. I'm just going to entertain myself in any way I can, even if that involves watching a lesser brute fight some pathetic God's Immortalis to pass the time". Vega melted the ice and swished her hands in the water, cleaning them off as he turned away.
"I believe I shall also go see how childish the fight has become, after all...I wouldn't want your friend to kill my comrades so easily the first time they meet him. Also...we are not pathetic, though if you enjoy entertainment I would suggest that you find a lady of the night, but I ask that you do not kill her...as one Immortalis to another, after taking something down the clean up is often messy." She blinked as he came back, moving her head back as he placed his face next to her. "Oh. I almost forgot."
"You can call me 'Omega', Miss Endzela~" She frowned slightly before leaning forward, using part of her old personality.
"Well....Omega, I should say this now, rather than on the battlefield...but if you were on my side I would have liked to create steam with you. Heh....almost had you going, and how...do you know my name?" Her old personality faded back as he turned away one last time.
"You say you believe in the good in people..." She cleared her throat and waited for the rest of his sentence, but as soon as he said the rest, he vanished. "... But what if all they are is pure evil?" She groaned in both frustration and relief, getting out of the mud and freezing the water particles in both the mud and the pond water that had soaked into her tunic. She then shook the ice stiffened fabric roughly and the ice shattered and fell to the ground, the dirt from the pond going with it.
"To be pure evil, you would have to not mourn the death of your own sister, Omega." She sat out, before closing her eyes and sensing the other Immortalis, making a bee line for the battle as she wanted to help stop the child's play, or at least try and get them to fight another day. She was a surprisingly fast jogger, but she froze improvised ice spikes to the bottom of her boots and began to jump from tree to tree. The tip of her nose turning a light rosy pink as the cold air nipped at it when she went from tree branch to tree branch. It was a slower way for her to travel, but it was effective.
