Age: 17
Personality: Jay is the typical bad boy. He doesn't like to follow the rules, and he hates being told what to do. Jay is the kind of kid who, once he turns 18, he'll be out of there faster than you can say goodbye. While Jay does care about his brother, he doesn't care if Tommy goes with him or not. Jay is out. He is your typical party boy, he's been in the party scene since he was in 8th grade. He's done pot, acid, and cocaine, but he mostly only smokes pot now. Jay also drinks. He's your typical bad seed. Often times, people will whisper: "What happend to Jay? Tommy is such a good boy," and it really irritates him. He isn't his brother, and he wants people to realize that. Jay is a singer, he also plays guitar. Jay wants to be in a band, but he knows that isn't realistic. The other thing he wants to do is be a high school History teacher...yes even with all the tattoos and piercings.
Good traits: He's gentle, to the point of painfully so, and he's kind. Jay has really good virtues, and while he's a party boy, he is still a virgin and he doesn't plan on giving it up until he knows it's the right girl. Jay likes to sing, and he often sings to the younger children at the orphanage if they've had a bad dream.
Bad Traits: His alcohol and pot use are definitely bad traits, but he tries to control them. He never lets the little ones of the orphanage know what he does, and he doesn't party during the school week. Also, he has a very short temper.
Fears: Jay fears never getting out of the orphanage. He also fears loosing his twin brother, Tommy. Jay has massive trust issues, so he fears getting close to someone and being hurt. Jay also fears hurting the little ones at the orphanage. Jay takes care of the "babies" as he calls them, and he really loves all of them.
Dreams: Jay dreams of being in a band, and that is what his ultimate goal is. However, he also has much more realistic dreams. Jay wants to be a high school History teacher, and help out kids like him to make their lives better.
Background: Jay was born Jaycin Alexander Kain to Margaret and Blaithe Kain. He is the older twin, but you wouldn't know it by how quiet and reserved his is outside of parties. He had a great life until he was 6 years old...that's when his life went to shit.
How they became a orphan: The night of Tommy and Jaycin's 6th birthday, their father came home drunk as a skunk and high as a kite. Their mother tried to stop him from waking the boys, but Blaithe woke them anyway, and made them watch as he brutally raped and beat their mother. Jaycin, being the older twin by almost a full 18 hours, covered Tommy's eyes and made Tommy cover his own ears so he wouldn't hear or see anything. After Blaithe had finished with Margaret, he moved on to Jaycin. Jaycin told Tommy to run, and Tommy listened because run usually meant they were going to play tag. So, Tommy ran into the hallway and down it. The next thing Tommy or Jaycin knew, both of their parents were dead and they were orphans. Jaycin admitted to killing their father, but the police did nothing as a) he was six and b) his father had killed his mother. Tommy still doesn't know his twin killed their father.
