Angelo Serifini

"I should not be here - but I'm going to enjoy it!" {FINISHED CHARACTER}

0 · 200 views · located in Titanic

a character in “The Titanic: Ship of Dreams”, as played by Imagine That!

Name: Angelo Paolo Serifini, but his nickname is Angel.
Age: Twenty-One.
Appearance: One Two
Class: Staff, a waiter in first class.
Personality: Angelo is one of those classic Italian men - he thinks that he is God's gift to women. As soon as he starts to speak and he flutters his long, masculine eye lashes, the women are his. And for the most part, this is true. He has had his fair share of slaps however in the past from different women who have turned out to be married, in a relationship ect, but that hasn't put him off of his ways. He has a passion for music that no-one else in his family understands, and he would like to perform for thousands of people one day. Whilst he knows that the idea of an Italian man having a celebrity status is almost impossible, it doesn't stop him from dreaming - he's incredibly ambitious, and he always has been. Whatever Angel wants, Angel usually gets, no matter the amount of time that it takes for him to do so. He's one of those guys that makes you blush when you walk past him and he smiles at you; he's usually always winking and smiling. Angel is a family man, and even though he is leaving his family for the big dreams of America, he knows that he will come back to them one day; he's told them to expect him home within the year.

Reason for travelling to America: Angel doesn't know why he's going to America - he just knows that it's calling to him.
Brief History: Angelo Paolo Serifini was born to Paolo and Ismenia Serifini in the south of Italy, near Messina. He also has four older brother and a younger sister, Mikael, Mario, Alessandro, Frederiko and Rosa. As said before, family was all he cared about growing up, and even though he was one of the youngest, he always tried to catch up - running through the olive groves after his brothers who were much faster than him, trying to get away from Rosa. When they were older, at the age of eight for Angel, his family moved to London, to get away from the troubles that had arisen for their family in Italy. He doesn't like to go into too much detail about this, but it was something about his father owing a lot of money to a wine maker, and so they ran. The rest of the children hated their new life in London, but Angel saw it as a new adventure. Always being the most adventurous one, he tried to take advantages of these new surroundings as he grew. He got a job in an Italian café when he was sixteen, and in his spare time, he also looked after a sick old Italian man that he had come across one day, sitting in the café.

Angel brought the old man food to eat from the leftovers in the café, and he helped him wash and other things, in exchange for lessons in the English language. However, after two years or so of helping this man, he passed away - and in his will, he left Angel his beloved violin, wanting to give it someone that he knew was going to treat it right. Angel played his violin every night until he could play the songs popular at the time on it, such as Nearer My God To Thee and even locked his bedroom door, so his siblings couldn't barge in and disturb him. Music is everything to him, and ever since he first laid his hands on that varnished wood, he was never the same.

When he heard that there were spaces to travel to New York on the Titanic, he instantly jumped at the chance, signing his name up on the board to work as a waiter in Gatti's café. However, he wasn't given a place, and for a moment, felt that all of his dreams were crushed. But, the night before the ship sailed, Angel was at the local pub with his friend Giovanni, who was bragging about being the only Italian waiter in first class. he had been promoted due to a lack in first class waiters, and he was incredibly proud. All of this bragging annoyed Angel (who liked honestly) and he kept buying drinks for the man next to him, until he passed out. Angel then slyly snuck his hand into the male's pocket and stole his ticket, running home as quickly as possible to pack. He told his parents that there had been a change of plan, that he had gotten a place on the Titanic and the next day, he boarded the ship as Giovanni Firenze.

Lucky they were about the same size.
Any special possessions?: Nothing of much importance; the only thing he really cares about is his violin.
Relationship Status: Single
Travelling companion(s): No-one.

So begins...

Lena stared at the ceiling as she lay in her third class bunk. She had been the second person to get into their room of six, and she had quickly jumped onto one of the top bunks - there was no way that she was sleeping underneath something that could crush her in a second if it snapped. Of course, that wasn't going to happen, because the Titanic was supposed to be "The Ship Of Dreams" and it was built to perfection. Even the steerage rooms were the best that she had ever seen in her life - they were better than her small family flat in Belfast. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she traced the swirling pattern that twisted along the ceiling. She was dressed in a comfortable, but plain dress. She didn't have many things that covered up the entirety of her body or didn't show off her curves; she hadn't enough money to buy two sets of clothing - one for work and one for every day life, so she just focused on the more important of the two. Her work.

She slowly sat up and dragged a hand through her messy hair, getting stuck on a few knots as she did so. She then climbed down from her bunk, avoiding the other two women who were now talking quietly in the room, and she left. She hadn't had time to explore this ship yet and she was going to start now - maybe by the time that the ship docked in New York, she would have finished! A soft song played on her lips as she trundled through the corridors, weaving in and out of the stragglers with their trunks in the hallways, still trying to find their rooms, or trying to use the key to unlock them. She stopped to help one family with their luggage, as it was falling about everywhere, as the mother and father had no more arms spare as they were carrying children and the details for their room. She carried their bags in for them and bid them a farewell, as she again made her way around the ship. She wanted to begin on the boat deck and look out at the beautiful horizon. Lenora wasn't paying much attention to the signs as she made her way up the winding staircases, and it only dawned on her that the scenery was becoming more and more ornate and beautiful, the further she went up. A small, mischievous smile played on her lips as she carried on up the stairs, and soon she saw a sign saying "A Deck."

"Hello Miss, are you from first class?" A steward wearing a perfectly while outfit asked her, smiling politely. Wow, okay, she could pass for a first class passenger? Maybe this outfit was a little more revealing than she expected.
"Yes, yes I am." She smiled, bringing her hands in front of her, clasping them poshly at her waist. Her thick Irish accent shone through in her voice, as well as her colloquial tone indicating straight away that she wasn't first class. From here, she knew she was busted.
"Because I didn't see you come in, and it's my job to know every single one of my passengers."
"Okay, you got me, I'm a second class passenger. However, I'm just so curious to see what first class looks like. Would you, please, let me just take look? I will not over stay my welcome, I promise." A flirtatious smile flitted upon her lips, one that she knew all too well from her job back in Belfast.
"Well, I suppose, M'Lady. Just don't tell anyone I let you through." He winked at her, before opening the gates and letting her in.

Lena felt lost walking around underneath the glittering chandeliers of first class, and she couldn't stop her mouth from falling open slightly. She had never seen anything like this before, and it overwhelmed her. She wandered around, taking a glance at everything that she passed, trying to avoid bumping into these upper class people who were late to lunch. Lunch, eh? That smile appeared on her lips again as she pulled the cheap hair-band off of her wrist, and wrapped it around her hair, pulling it back like this to fit in some more. A waiter, who looked more Italian than English directed her over to one of the remaining tables with empty seats, along with a blonde woman and a male who were talking. Another female had just joined too, and she slowly sat down in the seat, her eyes turning into saucers as she saw the amount of cutlery there was to use.

Good going Lena. Now what!?"

"Perché tu sei meglio di me! Sei interessato solo i vostri soldi ei vostri gioielli, invece di morale e dei valori?" Angelo knew that the woman who had flung him out of her cabin had no idea what he was saying, but that was her fault for not having paid her tutor to teach her Italian as well. He sighed as he picked himself up from the floor and straightened out his White Star Line waiter's outfit, and fixing his bow tie so that it looked perfect once again. He had knocked on the door, and waited like a gentleman until he heard the lady say "come in." Well, what he thought was "come in." It was actually, "don't come in", but he hadn't heard the prefix to the sentence. So, he had walked in, offering to escort this upper class lady to the dining hall for lunch, and he caught her getting changed. She had flipped out at him, and even though he apologized profusely, she hadn't forgiven him and shoved him out of the room, slamming the door into his face, clipping his nose.

The class differences on this ship were so distinct that it frightened Angel slightly, and he took in a deep breath before he made his way back to the dining hall. It was a completely different world here, one that he wasn't used to, but wanted to be. He wasn't even supposed to be here! He had explained his situation by saying that Giovanni had come down incredibly ill, and that because they were such close friends, he had offered him the position and he had graciously and quickly accepted. It took a lot of convincing to the stewards to actually let him into first class, and he even had to get an officer down to explain the situation to them, again showing the class divisions that he so hated.

Angel smiled politely as the women, men and children entered into the dining hall, trying to ignore the pain that was throbbing in his nose as he stood there. That old bag had actually clipped his nose quiet hard, and it was hurting. But, he didn't let it show, as that would just be "oh so incredibly bad, showing the first class passengers that those of another status also had feelings too", so he ignored it. Once everyone was seated, including a girl that he didn't recognize, probably from second class, he started taking the orders of the people at tables. The choice on this ship was extreme, so extreme that without the pencil and paper that he had in front of him, he wouldn't have been able to remember everything.

Angel walked over to where he had seated the brunette girl, and he smiled down at them. He had sat her with a blonde woman, Georgiana Crawley, and Christian Holloway, who had just started a conversation. "May I take your lunch orders, signorinas e signor?"

"Yes. Yes, I am Rachel Schindler." Rachel smiled. "Thank you for the invitation." Saying so, Rachel pulled out a chair and sat down in it. Turning to the waiter, she said, "chicken ham sandwich on rye, please."

Jacqueline had decided to explore the Titanic a little further, opting for an earlier lunch. This decision caused her to miss the large group now sitting together (Georgiana, Rachel, Christian, and the others) but she hardly would have cared. There were far too many wonderful things to see on the ship to waste time sitting down for a sandwich with strangers. She had ordered a salad and eaten it on a small elegant patio some time earlier and, once finished, had quickly left and made her way down to second class. She wandered through the halls, elegant white dress swirling around her calves as she took long confident strides. She stopped to chat with some people, but rarely stayed too long in a conversation. As long as she was alone she wanted to explore the ship, and she knew that Jacques would eventually catch up with her and insist she stay in first class.

She looked quite out of place, even in second class, with her well polished hair, expensive dress, and elaborate hair pin though she hardly noticed or cared. Her dark chocolate eyes locked with strangers, a mischievous and flirtatious glint in them, as she continued to explore the Titanic.

Jacques found himself in the beautiful dining room, casually walking around the edge of it while his eyes danced lazily over his surroundings, looking for an empty chair. His conversation with that woman-man had caused him to be later than he would have liked for lunch and thus, nearly every table was full.

"Excuse me, sir, do you have a preference as to where you would like to be seated?"

He turned to see a young blonde boy smiling eagerly at him, obviously very pleased that he was working on the ship. Jacques smiled in return and chuckled, "As long as there are beautiful women at the table, I don't care where I am seated young lad." He replied causing the boy to laugh sheepishly and quickly lead him into the thick of tables. A few times he glanced back at Jacques to see if he liked the table he was leading them to, but Jacques politely shook his head and they moved on. Finally the boy lead him towards a table of people who were vaguely recognizable: Georgiana, the girl that had bumped into her, and the peculiarly dressed man that had been with the man-woman. Perfect.

"I've got it from here." He said to the boy and made a beeline for the table, stopping the waiter just as he was leaving.

"Excuse me, so sorry to turn up to this table late, but could I have the beef in the romande sauce with some fine wild rice? Thanks so much." He said to the waiter (Angel) and then promptly took the last remaining seat at the table, a wide handsome grin on his face.

"Hello everyone. Lovely to see you again," he said, smiling cooly at the stunning blonde from the deck, "and you Monsieur LaRue it has been too long." He said barely allowing the man a moment of a attention before he glanced towards the final member of the table. "My apologies, it seems I haven't introduced myself. I am Jacques Vallembrose and what might be your names?" He asked the two beautiful women.

Georgiana once again smiled at Rachel "You are most welcome" she answered before turning back to the waiter, Angel to catch his attention before he went to fetch their order "also please can we have a jug of water?" she asked having finished her tea.

"Excuse me, so sorry to turn up to this table late, but could I have the beef in the romande sauce with some fine wild rice? Thanks so much." Upon hearing the voice with the thick French accent, Georgiana turned her head and looked at the man who had promptly joined their table, she instantly recognized him as Jacqueline's brother, offering him a kind smile her stomach leaped slightly at the handsome, mysterious Frenchman, she groaned inwardly feeling like a young, naive girl once more at this childish crush she seemed to be developing.

Georgiana could feel his blue eyes bearing down on her as a cool smile graced his lips "My apologies, it seems I haven't introduced myself. I am Jacques Vallembrose and what might be your names?"

"Georgiana Crawley" she smiled brightly holding out her gloved hand for him to shake "You are Jacqueline's brother are you not?" she enquired.
