Name: Jacques Vallembrose
Nicknames: Prince Charmant (Translated as 'Prince Charming') or simply Charmant. Both nicknames are only used by Jacqueline.
Ethnicity: French-Italian
Born in: Genoa, Italy
Age: 25
Class: First
Appearance: Jacques is very dashing and he knows it too. He stands at 6'3" with strong broad shoulders, well defined arms, a taught and muscular torso, and long lean muscled legs. He does not look overly bulky, nor does he look thin; the muscle that covers his body is lean and fills out his frame nicely. He has an olive complexion but on top of that he has a healthy tan that has bronzed his skin slightly. He has a handsome face with a strong jawline, high angled cheek bones, an averaged sized nose, and lips that curl up ever so slightly at the corners to give him the appearance that he is slightly amused at all times (which he usually is). His eyes are a clear blue, the color of the sky on a cold winters day, and are framed by surprisingly thick dark lashes and accented by his dark angled brows. His hair is the same dark brown-black as his step-sister's, thick and layered so that it falls boyishly across his head . His face usually holds some stubble, making him look look a little edgy, but he shaves for special events.
Jacques tends to favor more casual clothing but looks sharp in a suit for special events. His family is extremely wealthy so he does have a huge selection of clothing, but he doesn't pay much attention to it and it is usually Jacqueline that forces him to dress up and look presentable.
Personality: Jacques is an interesting man who people always seem to be drawn to. He is outgoing, incredibly charming, suave, flirtatious, and slightly devious. He does as he pleases, whenever he pleases, which can be exciting for some people and terrifying for others. He is an impulsive person who follows his desires, where ever they may lead. He is often sarcastic but says things with a playful smile, leaving people wondering if he was serious or not. Despite his impulsion he is kind and loving to those he cares for and also incredibly loyal to family and friends. He is brave, stubborn, and enjoys laughing and having fun whenever possible. He dislikes serious people and is the type to make light of a situation. He is creative, though not how you might think, and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Rules are of little importance to him, as are people who get in the way of what he wants. Though he is assertive and confident to the point of being cocky, something in his demeanor makes people take a liking to him. He is intelligent and did well in school, but his real intelligence shines in knowing how to talk with people in order to get what he wants (a trait that he and his step sister share). He uses his good looks, when needed, but isn't always so manipulative. His outgoing personality allows him to show kindness to others that may usually be over looked and he has a keen eye for beauty. He is drawn towards beautiful women and enjoys 'chasing skirts', so to speak. He has had too many one night stands to count, and a fair amount of passionate flings. While his sister lives for love, he lives for desire; whether it be women, money, food, traveling, and so on. He enjoys the finer things in life and sees no reason why he shouldn't. The star of his life is his step sister Jacqueline, who he is very protective of.
Reason for traveling to America: Jacques is traveling to America with Jacqueline to insure that no one takes advantage of his stunning step sister. He is also hoping to figure out if the 'family business' would do well in New York, though he is unsure because the American's do not embrace sexuality as readily as Europeans.
Brief History: Jacques was born in Genoa, Italy to his French mother and Italian father. They lived a modest life, his father working as a fisherman while his mother fixed clothing for the women around town. Jacques was a very good looking boy and soon became popular with many of the girls in his neighborhood, making many friends. He never noticed at the time, but his mother was extremely unhappy living in Genoa. She had lived in Paris her whole life and had moved to Genoa on whim because she became pregnant with Jacques. She married Jacques father but soon the love wore away and she was left miserable in the fishy smelling city of Genoa.
When Jacques was 16 his father got caught in a storm while fishing and was lost at sea. Jacques had been a rather self-centered child, focusing only on himself and girls, so he was not as crushed as most children would be when he got the news. Yes, he was sad that his father had died but that sadness soon vanished after his mother informed him that they were moving to Paris.
Back in Paris his mother was another person entirely: vivacious, sexual, and full of life. Jacques too felt the allure and sexuality of Paris, giving into it without hesitation. Over the next few years his mother began what would be known as the Red Light District. Though her name was not on any of the buildings (who would be so silly as to do that?), it was her that gained all the money from the exchanges that went on in the district. In no time business was booming and her and Jacques were rolling in money. Jacques saw nothing wrong with the district and, as soon as he was finished with his schooling, began managing a number of the buildings and raking in money of his own. He found time to take pleasure in the Red Light District when he was not working and understood why so many frequented the streets, though he preferred to woo his women, not pay them.
Many years later, when Jacques was 24, his mother remarried. He was a French man who had lost his wife to a disease many years ago and he had a seventeen year old daughter. Jacques thought little of the marriage, for it wouldn't affect him (though the man was seriously wealthy), but became far more invested in the marriage when he met his step sister Jacqueline. The girl was vivacious and beautiful with a sensuality that one rarely found. He was smitten with her but did not act on his feelings, merely vowing to put her first in his life. He called her my Colombe (my dove) and looked out for her at all times. The two became quick friends and realized that they had a fair amount in common, despite class differences and age.
When she decided to go to New York to pursue acting he decided to join her. He wanted to protect her, but more than that he needed her. She had become a key piece of his life and one of the few people he would do absolutely anything for.
