He doesn't speak much. After 100 years of being a vampire, Julius realized he liked his own company and gave up on creating relationships with anyone.
To others this distinguishes him as rather cold but there is more to it than that. However, Julius plays up to this assumption by ignoring anything that he feels isn't worth his time. Mainly Humans.

Julius believes Humans are only a food source. Though he hasn't used his past 'slaves' for just feeding.
As a result of this belief his ignorance has only gotten stronger.

The vampires that Julius lived alongside gain his acknowledgement but not his respect. This is just how he views the world and 'old habits die hard'.

Rasputina Transylvanian Concubine
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdo5IcLAAfc
If you want to know how
To fly high, then go now
To the place where all the concubines...
Meet and converse with them
Marvel at their pale skin
Wonder how they chew on their pointy...
Teeth and hair are beauty
They know it's their duty
To be countess in their hearts and their...
Minds that have to whisper
See in them a sister
Look into their eyes and you'll become
Transylvanian Concubine.
You know what flows here like wine.
Stay here with us, it's just time.
Transylvanian Concubine.
Sorrow is their master
Cackling with laughter
Now he's having just one piece of...
Cakey is their make-up
Catholics try to shake up
All the things that form their lives, but
they're...
Dead, their sighs, their songs
They know what they do is wrong.
Stay here with us, it's just time.
Transylvanian Concubine.
Candelabra's lighted
Satan has been sighted
Never has there been an evening like...
This is what they wanted
Always to feel hunted
You can never be too rich or too...
Thin. The blood has run out.
Fangs ruin any cute pout
Morning has come now they've flown
What have you learned from what has been
shown?

Powers:
Transfiguration
General Skills:
Horse riding, reading, dancing

History:
[i] Being as old as he is, Julius has seen a fair few things in his time. He has been married, to a wonderful woman named Delia. However, she passed away in childbirth along with his Son. It was before he truly embraced being a Vampire.
This is the only memory that Julius cant rid from his mind, he was a young vampire at this time and fell too quickly in love. He was not ready for his beloved to leave him when she did. Some would say this is the reason he is so ignorant..... its because he doesn't want to begin to like someone who would eventually die.

Most other events in his life are pretty unimportant. He his lived in solitude for a good hundred years, this was when he figured out his power of transfiguration. In this time Julius became colder and now finds it hard to understand emotion.

So begins...

The two vampires sat in the middle of the room. The male, tall with shoulder length hair stood, whilst the woman, a red headed woman, sat in a chair next to him.
In front of them sat two humans. One male and one female.

The humans were bound, their hand chained to each other. Vampire society only had one rule, if humans learned of their existence then they were to be enslaved or killed. However, killing was always a little messy and the clean up was never worth it.

'What are we gonna do with the wee humans Julius' The female vampire questioned, looking the male human up and down.

The male vampire,Julius, stepped forward and came close to the humans. Since they were bound there was no way they could attack outright. He took the girls face in his hands, checking her over for injury.

'Looks like this one is mine Cait. They were send with a letter instructing us to choose one each.'

The female vampire sighed, she had been co-existing with Julius in this house for over 100 years. The pair found solace in each others company, however, new faces were always fun.

The pain in the neck caused his eyes to open slowly, his didn't move his head just yet incase his captors were around. He looked around carefully assessing the situation at hand he was chained to another person he assumed human, since she was unconcious too. Vampires didn't stay unconcious for long, if you could knock them out at all that is.

He looked to the floor, it was carpeted so it was someone's home, one of the walls was lined with books a large lamp in the corner of the room filling it with light. People never turned on lights during the day it was a waste of electricity, so it had to have been night.

He now tried to think about why he was there, he was known in the vampire community so was a target more or less all of the time. Not a lot of people knew he was a slayer not even his closest friends, perhaps someone had turned him over to save their own life. It wouldn't have been the first time. It was certainly something he would have to find out from his captors.

Tristan flexed his hands and feet stimulating the blood flow to them, he looked over at the girl who was unconcious and then to the two vampires in the room. He didn't speak he wanted them to make the first move, if his hands hadn't been in chains he would have tried to wriggle slowly creating some distance ever so slightly to slide his hands out.

A feeling of discomfort finally roused Melita, her eyes opening slowly while she tried to shift her body to become more comfortable and relieve the aching in her head and neck. With a sudden alertness and a gasp of surprise, the ginger haired female realized she couldn't actually move, her hands chained to another person. Heart beginning to race in anxiety, Melita looked around, finding herself in a lavish room she clearly didn't recognize. Where was she? How had she ended up chained in someone's estate? The woman tried to think, doing her best to ignore her dull, aching head. She had been walking home from the bakery...and...and...what had happened? She recalled something frightening had happened. Closing her eyes in an effort to remember, Melita hoped to retrace her steps.

There was a person in the shadows, a lone alleyway on her walk home. And blood, the smell of blood. That's right, she clearly recalled the coppery liquid's scent in the air. And, the figure had been biting..another person? Yes, that's right, Melita shuddered as she recalled the memory. She had seen a strange, pale figure covered up in a coat biting into someone's neck. And eyes, intense eyes that had looked over when she gasped.

But....then what? Melita tried to figure out what came next, but nothing came to her. And she was still so confused!

As a strange voice spoke up, an accented woman to be exact, the young woman froze, turning towards the sound to see two well-dressed, very beautiful strangers. Humans? What to do with the humans? Confusion showed in her expression, only to be replaced by a jolt of fear when she and her likewise chained companion were approached. She tensed at the sudden touch on her face, looking up at the strange man with trepidation. 'Mine?' he said? Melita swallowed hard, trying to hold back a whimper. This man looked powerful, and extremely intimidating. More worrisome, what could they possibly want from her?

Cait giggled. She knew Julius would choose the female.
Luckily, she preferred the male human anyway.

' Well maybe you should untie them? We canny be haven them all tied up, it's not right'

The male vampire shifted his eyes to Ciat
' Your love of human rights is always so surprising Cait.'

He bend down and broke the bonds that bound the pair together.
Neither of them could escape and the likely hood they would attack was slim.

He stood back up and made his way back next to Cait.

' You have both been brought here to serve us. According to our law you broke a fundamental rule. You have either killed, caught or been romantic with our species, therefore your punishment is to live out the rest of your small life as our slav-'
' Ughh hummm-' Cait interrupted
'Sorry our guests.'

The male vampire tossed his dark hair to one said and waited patiently for a response.

Melita was greatful for being released, though the mere fact the male could break the chains so easily was beyond unnerving. She could only stare up at the two pale figures as they spoke of her and the male beside her. Before she could ask any questions, the long haired male began to explain, being interrupted only by a chiding remark from his beautiful female companion.

As the words registered in her brain, Melita let out a squeek, eyes wide in stunned surprise. Serve them? That couldn't be right. And she'd never killed anyone, or commited any crime as far as she was aware of. And what species were they, if not human? It was with mounting fear she noticed the unusual curvature and shape of the canines in the female's teeth. Surely she had to be dreaming? The female tentatively raised her hand, requesting permission to speak before doing so.

"P-please sir. There must be some sort of m-m-mistake. I've never killed anyone. And I've not been romantic with anyone! I-I mean..I've admired some people from afar from time to time, but never have I been in any way intimate with anyone."

Toying with the hem of her skirt nervously, Melita looked imploringly up at the strangers. "W-what species are you?" she asked, having a growing suspicion her shaky memory was more real than she cared to imagine.

Tristan flexed his wrists and fingers as the male vampire snapped the chains that bound Tristan and the young woman together. He folded his arms and swung one leg over the other. He appeared relaxed as his fingers felt the jacket he was wearing he always kept a few stakes or even some holy water in his pocket, but there was absolutely nothing in his pocket not even a minuscule clove of garlic. He tried not to show his worry as he looked around the room again slowly and there it was a table with all of his slaying equipment, including his rosary beads.

It seemed that whoever had brought him in had searched and stripped him of his equipment, now the vampires knew who he was he had to do his job. He looked over to the young woman as she spoke trying to understand her reason for being there. Tristan sighed softly " your kidding right? You really have no idea? Sunt Vampir " he pointed to the male vampire, and then the female" he is the oldest probably 300 years or maybe older and she is the youngest probably 200 years. Bloodsuckers nightvermin whatever you want to call them. Vampires"

Melita's face drained of color, a shudder ran down her spine. So what she saw in the alleyway wasn't a dream. Trying to calm her racing heart, the female turned her gaze from the male beside her to the vampires. She swallowed hard. How was she to deal with vampires? Now that she was here, did that mean she would be the next meal? But the male vampire said they would serve. Serve a vampire? Did that mean she would never be allowed to leave? To go outside? To see the sunlight? The thought was rather depressing.

"B-but I had no idea vampires existed until yesterday night! I saw one for the first time. I almost thought it was my imagination..." she tried to explain, feeling rather defenseless and unnerved by the turn of events. If the vampires decided she was no good at being a servant, would they kill her? She knew she would die someday, as everyone did, but she didn't want to die yet!

Julius had been in this situation many times. He had, had three companions over the years.
This situation never changed.

The female human began to panic. She was just one of the unfortunate ones.
Julius walked forward and picked her up with ease. He cradled her like a small child in it's mothers arms.

' The male is right. I am a vampire and I have been alive for many years. Humans are not meant to know of our existence and this is what we do to keep ourselves safe. I can assure you I am nothing short of a gentlemen and will treat you fairly... unless you refuse me. You needn't fear intimacy from me neither. It is strictly against Vampire Law'

Cait shifted uncomfortably. Julius held the woman like she was a child. His new play thing was most likely never going to defy him.
She then looked at the male human. Who was clearly a slayer.
Cait had luckily been gifted with extraordinary strength for a vampire which was most likely why Julius gave him to her.

' So laddy, I guess that just leave you and me'

Tristan watched carefully as the young girl began to panic, obviously terified at the thought of become a servant to a vampire. Sure it wasn't a good life, most servants often begged for death after a few weeks. Tristan had rescued a few vampire servants in his time and they hated him for rescuing them, the servants had become accustomed to the pain of losing so much blood a week and in fact most of them committed suicide shortly after rescue. It was clear that once you became a serve to a vampire that's all you know and even death is the only way out.

Watching carefully as the male vampire scooped up the girl and held her close to him, he then began to explain about who he was. Tristan looked over to the female vampire as she spoke to him. Her Scottish tones rolling off her tounge, " So laddy, I guess that just leave you and me"

Tristan smirked lightly and nodded " I guess it does, doesn't it? " he pushed himself out of the chair and stretched his arms, releasing the muscle tension in his arms and legs. " I do hope you're ready, I'm afraid I'm not going to fall under the rule of master and servant just yet. I'm not going to fold like any of your other kills and beg you for forgiveness, for death." He walked over to the table where his equipment was, picked up his rosary beads he put them around his neck. He left everything else on the table, if he had picked up anything the vampire would have attacked no question, kissing the crucifix softly Tristan slid it underneath his shirt.

He stood watching and waiting for the fight if there was to be one.

Melita squeeked as she was lifted up with ease, only to stare up in shock as the vampire explained himself and his intentions. He wasn't going to be mean? He held no interest a human male would if given a defenseless woman? Was she hearing correctly? Feeling her cheeks grow warm at the thought and casual mention of 'intimacy', Melita dared to speak up.

"You...will treat me fair? I don't understand, earlier you were going on about us being slaves to you." she asked, tilting her head in puzzlement at the admittedly very good looking man. He spoke calmly, but the thought of being under a vampire's charge was rather nervewracking. Melita closed her eyes, trying to be calm and cool, like her sister would be. Why didn't a smidge of her sister's confidence and strength grace her? When she opened her eyes, she tried not to stare at the vampire holding her.

"Will...will I not be allowed to go anywhere? Am I able to go outside at all?" she asked, hoping against hope she'd have this small freedom. She would be rather depressed if she couldn't see the beautiful outdoors ever again.

Each move Tristan made was of course common for a slayer.
He was never going to just give up like that. Cait liked this trait, she had been a slave herself for many years and without hope she wouldn't of survived.

' Now look Lad. Whatever silly ideals you have in your noggin about me biting you... well ye can just forget. I haven't bitten anyone on over 100 years.'

Julius grumbled a little, knowing full well this boy was going to be a pain
' Cait here has remarkable self control if I do say so myself. Better than mine.'

Cait stood up and walked over to Tristan. She placed a hand firmly around his wrist and gripped tight enough so that he understood she meant business.
' I don't want a fight here, if we could both go without one that would be ideal. However, I can sense you might need one to show you who is in charge here!'

Julius smirked. He carried Melita out of the room and then put her down.
' You will be free to wander outside but only in our grounds. If it were up to me you would not have these freedoms but Cait is a bit of a human lover'

A slight shudder went down her spine as The vampire commented on how his companion's self control was better than his own. By how much she wondered. Melita looked wistfully at the other female, wondering if she'd have a better fate tied to the other vampire. She doubted she'd have much say in anything now.

The human was glad to be put down, brushing herself off and straightening her skirt as she listened to the answer. She felt an odd mix of relief and despair. She wouldn't be completely locked up. But to think the only reason he'd allow such liberties was because of the female vampire was not particularly reassuring. What if he changed his mind? In any case, she suppossed she should at least try to be nice. He had yet to hurt her, and she wasn't one for making enemies.

"U-um...thank you. I'm sorry, but what should I call you? I didn't catch a name sir. I'm Melita." she intoduced herself, trying to not let his smirk concern her. Nothing about him was anything less than sophisticated and elegant, but the intense and dangerous air was noticeable.

Twirling a bit of hair in her fingers, Melita looked hesitant before daring to test her luck. "Could I...write a letter? Y-you know, to let my sister know I'm ok..."

Cait lead the way up a large staircase and along a narrow corridor. Old framed paintings hung on the walls.

She stopped at two large wooden doors, on one a small flag of tartan was hung around the door knob.
' The other room is yours. I will let you have some time to yourself before we get better acquainted'

___

'My name is Julius. It's a pleasure to meet you Melita'

He indicated to her to follow him up a staircase. At the top of the stairs there were two doors. He pointed to the left side.

' That is to be your room.... In regards to writing a letter.... It is strictly forbidden you have that kind of contact with the outside world. As for as your family are concerned, you are dead. Our Law has a way of covering these things '

Melita followed the vampire, thinking over his name as he politely introduced himself. Julius...it was a good name. It seemed to suit the male for some reason, at least Melita thought so. Managing to stop before bumping into the creature of the night, the young woman looked at the two doors, glad she would at least be permitted her own room.

Any concern over such matters left her mind at the answer she recieved, the bubble of hope bursting into a million pieces. She'd never see her sister again? Or even be able to communicate with her? Melita swallowed hard, her mouth and throat feeling dry. She was alone now, and her sister would never know. It took a considerable amount of willpower not to cry, but somehow Melita managed. She really was pathetic. Her sister would argue and figure out some way to challenge the male. It was only then a disturbing thought occurred to her. What if 'covering' those things meant getting rid of any potential enemies or people who would get in the way?

"Sir...My sister won't be hurt because of my learning about your kind...will she?"

Julius shook his head.
' She won't be harmed. She has no reason to be. You won't be harmed either. Why don't you take some time for yourself before we continue. I will give you an hour to freshen up '

He indicated to her door. He then opened his own door and shut it swiftly behind. There was a large four poster bed tucked neatly in the corner but centrally there stood a wide desk made of the darkest oak.
Julius walked over to the desk, taking a pen and paper from the right hand drawer.

___

Cait entered her room. She sighed.
Life was always difficult with humans around. Especially when she had to defend them against Julius. Sometimes he couldn't control himself.

She just wished when she had been a slave, someone had defended her.
Luckily she was turned because Vampire law took pity on her weak and abused body.

Continue? Melita wasn't sure what to think of that, but she had a sinking suspicion it would mean he wanted a snack. She was at least relieved before he took his leave, knowing her sister wouldn't suffer for what she knew. At least that was something.

Melita closed the door behind her, letting out a sigh. She slunk to the floor, leaning back against the door. Thoughts swirled in her head, her anxiety fluctuating. She was greatful to the vampire for being polite and for assuring her her sister would be safe. But still, being stuck here and never being able to see her sister, or even contact any other humans was a bit overwhelming. It was also disheartening. She would, in a sense, be alone for her entire life, unless somehow she could talk or maneuver herself out of this situation.

Melita bit her lip, telling herself not to sulk, not to cry. She couldn't be weak here.

Julius finished scratching his initials into the paper.
Though the document was black ink, his names was signed red.
It was a blood signature.

It was common in most human, vampire pairing that a blood bond was made.
After finishing up, the male exited. Rather than go to Melita, he head back down the hall where Cait slept.

He knocked forcefully on her door. The whole house were likely to of heard it.
The red headed vampire answered, she knew what he was after.

' Have you written the blood oath yet? I require yours before be make the pact'

She sighed, there was no law that stated a blood oath was a must.
' Look Julius, I have told ye once and I will tell ye again. I don't do blood oath's... it's child's play'

It was a conversation the pair had every time a new human pair came round.

' Sign the God Damn paper Cait.' Julius voice began to raise.

Deciding she would only get depressed in her room, Melita tentatively stepped out, wandering the halls and trying to get herself aquainted with the place. Maybe, just maybe, she could also find a way to eventually escape back into society. But for now, she just hoped she wouldn't get lost.

Soon, she was sinking into a realization that she had gotten lost despite her best efforts. Glancing up at a tapestry she had passed at least twice, Melita tried to figure out where she was and which way she had yet to go when a loud knocking was heard. Despite the potential dangers that she assumed could come from investigating in a vampire's castle, curiousity won and Melita followed the noise.

She froze at the beginning of the next hallway, seeing Julius arguing with the female vampire from before. The young woman's hair began to rise, his obviously irritated voice sending a chill down her spine.

Cait was used to this attitude with Julius.
Over the years the pair had many tremendous arguments and fights. Luckily for Cait her strength was far superior to his. Though it never stopped him from raising his hands.

' Juilius Lad. Step back from me before I hurt ye'

Of course Julius didn't take that well, dropping the blood bond on the floor before grabbing Cait's arms and gripping hard.
Cait pulled hard on the hand that gripped her, causing Julius to fly into the corridor wall.
He picked him self up, dusting off his jacket.

' I won't pretend I can take you in a fist fight Cait but if you don't sign what I require of you... then I will make my humans time here very hard'

Cait stopped and swallowed hard. She knew him to be a very serious man.
She returned to her room and brought out a small knife. Tentatively she cut a small wound on her hand and offered it to Julius.
