Personality: Dante is one of the most out-going people you can hope to meet. Very care-free and energetic. He is the guy that obviously talks too much and on one subject. He can be easily outspoken but he generally means well. He sometimes doesn't understand why people are so serious all the time, he believes people would be much better off if they simply relax. Dante enjoys life but not as much as music. Music is his life in a way as he always plays his guitar and formulates new lyrics for songs. He does have aspirations to be a famous singer even though he already acts like he is famous. People would best describe him as a legend in his own mind. Dante is always off in his world where he believes he is a star, and women swoon over him and men always want to be his friend. Although most of the time both parties wish he would keep quiet.
Dante isn't recklessly arrogant nor is he entirely brash. Yet he is rather full of himself and sometimes borders on complete narcissism. He detests work however, and would much prefer to do what comes to his mind rather than others. So as he puts it, he is confident whereas other people believe he is obnoxious. Now when we mean by obnoxious, not in the sense he is a meat-headed jerk, more of the sense that he is very smug. Now this isn't his personal opinion of himself, like I mentioned he is a really nice guy just a bit conceited. Now often his mouth has gotten him into trouble as much as it has gotten him out of it. He is either a smooth talker or a firestarter. Either he speaks with charisma or with sarcasm. Now when he isn't, the key word isn't, talking about himself, he is talking about music. Music is about the one thing he loves more than himself. He always carries his guitar and plays whenever he is in the mood, and I do mean WHENEVER the mood strikes him. Even if it is at an inappropriate time.
If there is anything else to be said about Dante, is that he is a jokester. Yes, the only other thing to come out of his mouth besides himself or songs, it's jokes. He thinks himself to be incredibly comedic even though he may gain some laughs, but most of the time it's groans. Is he funny? Well it doesn't matter if you don't think so, after all Dante is the kind of person to laugh at his own jokes. Yep, thanks to his possible neurotic behavior and his delusional sense of grandeur, this is often the bane of any relationship. Dante has very few friends if any. Mainly he keeps to himself even though he tends to flock near crowds of people, and most of the time they leave him instead of him leaving them. This never bothered Dante as he figures, they just didn't know how to react around such a great guy. Well is there anymore to be said? Well he thinks himself smart more smart-mouthed to be exact, but nevertheless he isn't an idiot by all means. Well except in the ways of social behavior. To sum things up, Dante is charismatic, talented, sarcastic, comical, smart-mouthed, brave, conceited, self-titled Ladies' Man and a dreamer.
Oddities: Playing his guitar at inappropriate times. Obsessive-compulsive need to flaunt. Of course neurotic narcissism. Maybe a tiny bit of laziness. >:D

Reason(s) why you want to sign the contract to serve the king: Some minor hope that his music will be heard by royalty, catapulting him to fame.
Looking for free lodgings and free food.
How loyal are you to the king:} I suppose he is loyal enough to never betray the King. Really though he is only using this job to become famous.
Skills/Talents: Has a superb singing voice. Skilled with the guitar. And of course being an amazing person.
Preferred Weapon(s): Well his guitar is also a weapon as he manipulates the sound waves emitted from the guitar strings to do a number of things. The guitar also doubles as a bludgeoning weapon, since it is metallic.
Power: Sound.
Abilities: He does what I call the Pied Piper effect. It's not mind control but it's more of a puppeteering ability where Dante has control over his opponent's body movement. Yet, they still have control over their mind and can still speak. He does this by varying the pitch that way he can affect a wide array of different creatures. If he hits a base note he can create a large sound wave that knocks foes back from the vibrations.
Limitations: He can only control one type creature at a time, since he has to switch pitches to manipulate different things. As far as controlling them he can only make them dance and follow him around, nothing else but he has been able to force applause from controlled creatures. Like said only control over their bodies not their minds. The sound wave does stretch far but the farther it is the less resistance their is and less likely to knock anything over. Now here comes the tricky part, finding that certain pitch. Obviously everything perceives sound differently. Not to mention different sensitivities and actual audible frequencies. A lot of tests and experiments must occur to find that pitch, but once it is apparent then Dante could work his "magic."
Personal History: Dante was born blind and into a poor family. His mother and father could only provide so much. Yet, Dante learned early on not to care so much, since stress kills. He knows this because his father did die from stress, it was the only thing Dante shed tears over. He loved his father and respected everything he had done for him and his mother. Being blind however, was more of a gift than a curse. Although he knew his father died at least he had to never watch him suffer, unlike his mother. At an young age though it was hard for Dante to move around without running into things, and he nearly ran into a pit before his mother saved him. Knowing that without sight it would be hard to see dangers coming, so Dante had to do the next best thing, hear.
Dante developed an excellent sense of hearing and could even hear a deer stamp upon a twig a mile away. With his heightened sense of hearing he always kept an ear to the ground and would always know what was coming. He cleverly used this to hear vibrations and was actually adept at hunting. This talent though often gotten him into fights with the other kids since they wished to be great huntsmen. The reason being is because Dante lived in a village surrounded by forests and the main means of living was hunting and fur trapping. When Dante proved that a blind kid could hunt better than a kid who can see, well I'm pretty sure they were embarrassed. After continuous harassment he was eventually driven out of the sport of hunting. Feeling he had lost the one thing that he was good at, a silver lining appeared before him. A traveling bard came to the local tavern looking for coin and in return he would play and sing a song.
After another round of torment with the other kids, Dante heard this bard sing from the window and immediately was entranced. When the Bard was thrown out of the tavern Dante walked up to him and asked how did he do that? The Bard confused at first realized he meant playing music. The Bard told him that the music came from a guitar, and when Dante asked if he could hold it the Bard said no but did allow him to touch it. Dante immediately fell in love with the instrument and decided he too was going to be a Bard, and sing and play the guitar while traveling around the kingdom. It was hard at first since Dante didn't even had a guitar to begin with. After constant reminding to his mother, she did finally manage to buy a guitar. Dante was never more thrilled. He grew up learning to play by ear and honing his singing voice. This soon started to attract the attention of the ladies when he grew older, much to the agitation of the other boys. This greatly increased Dante's once miniscule self-confidence and he soon he started to break from his shell. Then the boys in their jealousy broke his prized guitar. Dante devastated punched the ringleader of the group and actually knocked him out. Then he was given the worst pounding ever from the others.
Dante figured it was time to leave this village, where nobody accepts his talents. When he became of age his mother allowed him to pursue his dreams and from that point he promised, "Mom when you hear back from me, I will have become the greatest Bard in the entire land!" Those where his last words to her as Dante had no idea what would happened to his mother after his departure. She was dying and she did not want Dante around when she passes and everyday since he left and before she passed, she prayed for his success. Now Dante in his prime has come to the castle in Winterfall, because the new King has heard of Dante's ability to control Sound. Seeing this as a grand opportunity he just couldn't wait for the world to know his name.

Other: I should mention his guitar. Once it was broken, Dante needed it fixed. He performed a cosmetic job upon the guitar but it was far from perfect. After he left his home village he moved along the main road and unfortunately he was stopped by a roaming gang of Bandits. Now Dante used this misfortune and made it fortuitous. Although the guitar wasn't up to it's former self, Dante was able to play the tone to keep the bandits under his spell. After tiring them out with dancing the Bandits pleaded for him to stop, and said they would give him anything he wanted. Dante asked for their loot and they gave it to him without any resistance. Dante then took the coins and moved on to the next town. He could have had a carpenter repair it but Dante decided to take it to the blacksmith. In his mind he figured if he could have the guitar rebuilt with metal then it would not break again. The blacksmith was surprised and confused about Dante's request. Yet, he agreed and figure that Dante's request could be a perfect opportunity to test a new ore. The ore was a relatively lightweight metal but it was strong. The Blacksmith though doubted Dante could pay for such a job. Dante ended up giving the Blacksmith all of his loot. Yet the craftsman did as he said and reforged the guitar into a metallic instrument. Dante was extremely pleased but one thing he did not expect, the metal has a different resonance compared to wood. This was apparent when he played it and the guitar had different twines as well. It took some trial and error to figure out the different tones. Eventually Dante learned to master his new guitar and has never changed it since.
