A B O U T
Sawyer is the living definition of the cocky, narcissistic male. He knows he's
beautiful and isn't afraid to let the world know that. He thinks higher of
himself than anyone else, so "loved" ones aren't really an option for him.
He does however empathize with the anti-humans, due to the fact that he
is one himself. Sawyer has the habit of acting superior to others, and also
talking down to anyone he finds unworthy of his presence.

P R E - I N F E C T I O N
Sawyer grew up in the outskirts of L.A., and spent most of his life. When he was in High School he was the athletic type, playing in any sport he could join either with the school or the neighborhood team. He was one of those guys growing up that was introverted, and didn't speak to others unless it felt it necessary. By somehow when he was 17, one girl peaked his interest, Jennifer. They dated for over 3 years when she found out that she was pregnant. Once their daughter was born, Jennifer fell out of love with Sawyer. Jennifer wanted to take their daughter Tess and move to the other side of the country. But his love for his daughter was much greater than anyone knew. So he fought for his daughter, and after a year of trials and court hearings, Sawyer got full custody of his daughter. It wasn't 2 years later that Tess became very sick. Sawyer quickly found out after numerous tests that she had leukemia. He put all his money and time into trying to cure his daughter. Sawyer took Tess to every medical facility that specialized in Leukemia to try and save his poor little girl. But after every test and trial it still wasn't enough, and he lost his daughter when she was 6 years old.

The loss destroyed what love he had in his heart, and not a week after her passing, Sawyer enlisted into the military. He put whatever passion he had towards his work in the military. He was a great soldier, determined, effective... It didn't take him long to move up in the ranks becoming a General within 3 years. His infantry was one of the best trained and deadliest in the military. Once the infection started spreading throughout the nation, it didn't take long for the government to recruit Sawyer's infantry to help in aiding in containing the horrible virus. They help cleanse and quarantine over 30 major cities throughout the country, sweeping across the land from the West to the East.

It was when the infantry finally reached New York City that everything began to go south. They were overwhelmingly outnumbered. Hundreds of thousands of the undead against 50 soldiers... Although they were well trained they stood no match against the hoards of zombies. When they knew that they stood no chance, Sawyer called for back up from the Army or whatever the government would send. But they saw Sawyer's infantry as lost cause, and had already declared them casualties of war. So at that point, it was up to Sawyer to help them all survive. They lasted nearly a week, bouncing around from one safe area to another. The longest they could last in one location was maybe 8 hours before one of the monsters somehow stumbled their way upon them, and once one found you it didn't take long for more to come.

They were transferring to a new location when it happened. Although Sawyer thought they were taking a safe path, being stealthy and using night vision goggles, it wasn't enough. When crossing Central park they had a run in with a zombie, one of Sawyer's soldiers panicked and shot the beast dead between the eyes. And although this stopped that zombie, the shot was loud enough for over half of the city's inhabitants to hear. They quickly were outnumbered and overwhelmed. The infantry was able to hold off a few hundred, but their guns quickly ran dry. Picking up whatever they could find or using the butts of their guns, they continued to fight them off. But it was only a matter of time before one at a time Sawyer's soldiers fell to the zombies. Still fighting strong, Sawyer was the last one standing... and in a final attempt to survive, he sprinted for the subway. But he was stopped not 100ft from where he started when one had bit a chunk of his ankle. This didn't slow him down for long. Sawyer hurdled over park benches and dodged more undead as he reached the entrance to the subway. Once there he darted down the stairs, skipping 5-6 at a time. At the bottom he found a door maintenance door. Sawyer quickly busted it open, making his way into the utility closet. He quickly spun around and barricaded the door. After shutting himself in the small maintenance room, Sawyer quickly became dizzy before blacking out and tumbling to the ground.

P O S T - I N F E C T I O N
Once regaining consciousness, Sawyer quickly got himself out of the small maintenance area. He made quick haste of getting out of New York City, easily, due to his X-ray vision he was able to see the zombies around corners so that he could stay practically invisible. After 24 hours of traveling on foot, he finally reached a military base. Dehydrated, starving and nearly dead, he collapsed at their gates. When Sawyer once again regained consciousness, the medic was studying his bite wound. When the doctor realized what it was, he just about shouted out if Sawyer did shoot up to grab the man, covering his mouth. With a distasteful grunt, he broke the mans neck in a swift motion. He didn't know what he was, but he couldn't have some man blabbing to half the army.

Now that Sawyer was up and going, it didn't take long for the government to throw him back out in the field. Their new priority, detaining and ending the lives of the so called anti-humans. Their next stop... Mullen, Nebraska.

Sawyer's go to gun is his AK. Fast, accurate and full of power. He can get
any job done with that machine.

S N I P E R
Sawyer is a marksman when it comes to sniping. Now with his X-ray
vision and full metal jackets, he's able to hit targets through walls or with
kevlar vests.

With Sawyer's new adeptability, he has found that he quite enjoys using
a tomahawk. Able to throw it far distances rather accurately, and when in
doubt, he can always use his telekinesis.

T H R O W I N G - K N I V E S
Much like the tomahawk, Sawyer likes how he can rely on his telekinesis
to help guide his knives. They are also lightweight so it do not take much
energy to move them to his will.

So begins...

BUMP, BUMP, BUMP The group of soldiers bounced and wobbled around in the back of the caravan. Sawyer, aggravated by the tight corridors and the length of the door, he banged his hand on the side of the van, shouting to the driver, "Is it possible... to NOT drive over ever mother fucking bump!" He brought his hands up to rub his temples to try and rid himself of the oncoming headache.

For some reason the soldier beside him decided to pipe up, "Sir, we're in the middle of nowhere, Nebraska... All roads are like this."

Sawyer stopped mid rotation on his temples, turning to glare at the male with his grey eyes nearly piercing daggers into the guys soul, "Was I fucking talking to you?" He rolled his eyes in disgust before continuing the temple rotation. It was practically perfect timing because the interior lights of their caravan suddenly turned off, which was their sign that they were closing in on their destination. Sawyer reached into his left breast side pocket, pulling out a flask. He untwisted the top, then brought the rim to his lips, taking a long swig. After he returned the flask into his pocket, he zipped up his jacket, and put on his aviators.

"It's nighttime... and you're wearing sunglasses?" The annoying recruit asked.

"If I wanted your input I'd ask..." With that being said, he reached into his pant pocket, retrieving a bandana that he began to tie around his nose and mouth. Sawyer finished tying the knot as the van can to stop. With a sigh, he moved to his feet and headed towards the double doors at the tail of the vehicle. "Alright gents. Lock-n-load 'em." He busted open the doors, jumping down onto the asphalt with his Ak at the ready. It was obvious they were in a small farming town, parked smack dab in the middle of the main road... if you can call it that. Out of the corner of his eyes Sawyer saw a totaled Porsche, but that wasn't what caught his attention. He walked over to it slowly, seeing a decapitated zombie... and skid marks leading out of the main area of town towards the outskirts.

The driver of the caravan walked up slowly behind Sawyer, "What is it General Knox?"

Sawyer pivoted on his heels, removing his sunglasses, hooking them in his collar. "Survivors..."

Ivy rolled over in bed, half asleep, her left arm draped over Jack's abdomen. She cracked her eyes slightly to glance upon him, taken by surprise at how she never even noticed him coming to bed. She smiled slightly to herself as she rested her cheek against his shoulder, and just as she was about to fall back asleep, she heard something that made her eyes shoot open. Thoughts... dozens of them. She sat up in bed, bringing her hands to her temples as she tried to sift through the different voices until she came upon a male's voice, "Survivors..." They're here! Quickly Ivy climbed over Jack, walking over to the window. She held back the curtain as she tried to look out and see if there were any vehicles, but everything was too far away. Glancing around the room frantically, she came upon a pair of binoculars, Ivy used them to look out the window towards the main part of town. There she saw at least 10 military vehicles and over 100 soldiers.

Ivy set done the binoculars and moved over to Jack. Gently placing her hand over his mouth so he didn't shout out too loud, after all she didn't know what all they could hear, she whispered to him "Jack... They're here... In town. They know there are survivors." It was barely visible in the darkness of the room, but she didn't dare turn on any lights. She moved about the room quickly, putting her vest and boots back on with haste. As she re-armed herself with all her weapons she sent a message out to everyone else through her telepathy, "Make a single noise I swear on all that is holy I will string you up and leave you for the infected." It was more geared towards Perry, but she thought she'd make a note to everyone for good measure. "They're here early. They are already sweeping the main part of town so it's only a matter of time before the get here. Get any supplies you can grab, quickly, and make your way to the garage."

Just as Ivy had finished putting all her effects back on, she swept her hair back into a ponytail as she turned to look at Jack. "Go... get them all in the truck. Get the supplies you need and everything. She walked over to the window, throwing her right leg out it, straddling the window sill. "I'm going to try to make a distraction... or something, to keep them in the main part of town longer if I can." She froze a moment before slipping out the window, holding his gaze for a long moment. She reached her right hand out, grabbing Jack by his shirt, pulling him closer to her. Once close enough, she pressed her lips to his, kissing him as deeply as she could muster. She didn't know what would happen from this moment on... She had to kiss him because, who knows if that could be the last time. "Meet you at the end of the driveway..." She whispered softly after breaking the kiss, before slipping out the window.

Ivy crept through Jack's front yard, trying to stay low and slow because she had no idea where they had eyes or soldiers. Near the end of the gravel driveway was a tall tree, but considering there was nothing around it, merely standing behind the trunk wouldn't be enough cover. Jumping up, Ivy grabbed hold of a branch and climbed her way up the tree. Once up in the thicket of the leaves, she straddled a branch and began to think over what she could do. She could just run into town, guns blazing... but that would most definitely end with her bleeding out on the pavement. It'd help them escape, but wouldn't be very effective. Glancing around, her gaze locked on the power lines that stretched from Jack's house, back down the road towards town. Ivy allowed her gaze to fall to her hands... she knew she had some control over energy. She had noticed it with the phone, the truck... But could she control it? She took a deep breath before aiming her hands at the power lines, muttering "Work... please."

She felt the energy growing in her palms, then BOOM! It shot out in an invisible mass towards the power lines. Ivy closed her eyes as tried to become one with the energy, guiding it towards town. The farther away it traveled the more she felt it draining her, but she stayed focused. When it reached the town, she moved it towards her apartment and with the last breath of energy she had, Ivy jolted her body slightly as she exerted the energy into the apartment. Then, on cue, the entire apartment lit up. She then heard the one from earlier, "The fuck?... Men, to the apartment!" With that Ivy slumped against the trunk of the tree, weaker than she had thought as she tried to catch her breath. That should distract them long enough... she hoped.

(OOC: Everyone bare with me here... I'm going to try my best to not seem choppy, so the post might be a bit lengthy since I'm writing for 4 characters. I'm going to try and think of ways to kill off the 2 extras, unless someone is dying to play them. So if you have any idea about how to kill them off, let me know.)

Melanie didn't particularly remember falling asleep. Last thing she remembers was sitting on the porch with the short tempered red head who insisted on sitting on taking watch on the front porch. A few hours must have passed and she must have slowly dozed off because she was slouched over on the porch, her shoulder and head resting against the side of the wall. Her less than slightly peaceful slumber was interrupted when someone else's thoughts wormed their way into her mind, "Make a single noise I swear on all that is holy I will string you up and leave you for the infected. They're here early. They are already sweeping the main part of town so it's only a matter of time before the get here. Get any supplies you can grab, quickly, and make your way to the garage."

The voice startled her awake, her hands clenched and her body tensed at first. Ready for... Well whatever. But once she took in what voice said, she quickly moved to her feet. Having nearly forgotten about her injured ankle, Melanie took a step, limping and wincing at the weight put on her foot. Damned ankle. Then to her left the red head pole-vaulted the railing and made her way towards the truck, saying "Get moving or you'll get left behind." Melanie wasn't going to argue, and fighting back the pain, she ran after the woman ignoring the excruciating pain in her ankle. Deep down Melanie knew it was kill or be killed here, and so she wasn't going to go down with out a fight.

Once reaching the truck, Melanie saw the large blonde guy had the red head and the other blonde guy that was in the bed of the truck some Night Vision Goggles. Curious as to why the male was in the back, she was still groggy and didn't quite feel the need to do the math, and didn't have time to ask. She went to the passenger side, opening the door and slid into the seat. Melanie felt the need to buckle up, who knew what they'd run into on the road or what Red would run into even with the NVGs. She sat back in the seat as the truck began to slowly roll down to the end of the driveway, where the other red head and the blonde giant stood near a tree. Melanie couldn't help but be curious as to why the woman was slumped against him, using him for support... she was weakened. She rolled down the window to ask, "Hey is everything ok?"

Ivy was surprised when she saw Jack making his way towards her in the darkness, "What are you doing?" she whispered towards him as he knelt beside her. She felt his arm snake around her, while her own arm wrapped around his shoulders, lifting her up to her feet. "What the heck happened?" He questioned towards her as they waited for the truck. Ivy shifted her weight slightly, glad that he was there to help her as she regained her strength, "I... Made a distraction. I'm not exactly sure how. Kinda like how... How I can get in people's minds." She brought her free hand up to tap his forehead as she said the word minds, "You weren't supposed to follow me," She chuckled softly, "I half expected to roll up in here in that truck, not... Not come after me."

Ivy had barely noticed the truck pulling up the driveway in the darkness, the latino woman poking her head out the window in her direction, "Hey is everything ok?" Ivy snorted in a weak attempt of a laugh, "Peachy!", making her way over to the window, she glanced through looking at Astraea, "Hey... I made a distraction but I don't know how long it's going to last. So where ever you're taking us, I'd make it quick and silent... I saw into one of their heads. He's smart, and I don't think a light show will fool him for long." With that being said, Ivy made her way to the bed of the truck. Putting her left foot on the top of the back tire, she swung her right leg over the truck into the bed. Before taking a seat, Ivy opened the window in the back of the truck so that she could hear anyone inside the cabin without using her ability, she didn't need to strain herself anymore for the time being.

Once the truck got rolling, Ivy took a deep breath, taking in the fresh air and the breeze. For some reason being outside and the fresh air always helps her recharge. As they turned down the back streets in the outskirts of town, she heard Astraea begin to say something, "We'll head to my family's mansion. It's the closest safe place, and since the soldiers already raided the town, we won't have to worry about them coming back there." Ivy shifted to her knees, so that she could look into the small window, "I'm not so sure about that... they're well trained. I just-" She was cut off when the woman added, "As soon as we reach there, we'll have to- Shit!"

She felt the truck's brakes slam on and the truck begin to spin sideways. Ivy tried to hold a grip on the window but the centrical force of the truck spinning sent ivy flying out of the bed of the truck. She hit the pavement hard a few feet away from the young girl, tumbling and rolling until she came to a stop after another 6ft. She coughed as tried to lift herself off the ground. Astraea made her way out of the truck, grabbing the young girl who spoke... French? Ivy tried to catch her breath, but heard the infected that were slowly closing in on their location, they must have been following the young girl. With a grunt, Ivy forced herself up, wincing at new pains from her collision with the concrete.

Astraea moved faster than Ivy, able to kill a zombie, pick up the girl and get back to the truck before Ivy could even get halfway there. She saw Red put the truck in drive, while she heard the infected closing in behind her. Ivy took a deep breath, while rolling her eyes, "Fuck me!" The truck starting driving in her direction, and she only had one shot to get in it. When it went past her, she put her hands on the side of the bed, grasping at it as tightly as she could while jumping up. She was able to get halfway up, resting her abdomen on the edge. She was so weak, and just doing that took more effort then she had. The truck must have hit a rock or a zombie because the slight jolt made her lose her grip.

Niko felt the truck go into a frenzy as the brakes slammed and the vehicle spun to a halt. The force of the movement through the other red head out of the truck, onto the ground by some little girl that must have been the reason why the driver brought the truck to an immediate stop. He was shocked at the speed of the driver, who was able to hop out of the truck, kill a monster, pick up the girl and get back in the driver's seat before the other one had barely gotten to her feet. It was apparent the driver wasn't in the mood to wait because she began to speed off.

Niko worried that the girl wasn't going to be able to get to the truck fast enough, shifting in his seat he moved towards the side of the bed that was coming up next to Ivy. When she jumped up and tried to make it into the truck, she was nearly successful but began to slip out off. Without hesitation, Niko reached out and grabbed her arms, pulling her into the back of the truck with him. "Hey! Are you alright?!" With a weak laugh, Ivy gave him a thumbs up before allowing herself to lay back in the bed of the truck, closing her eyes with a heavy sigh.

Once seeing that the women was ok, Niko moved over to the opened window, poking his head through. "Hey... not trying to split hairs. But if we could drive smoothly until we reach our destination, that'd be great. I don't think we need to shake her up anymore than she has been right now." He motioned towards Ivy as he spoke, and as if on cue she chimed in "I heard that! I'm fine!"

When the lights flashed on in a near by apartment, all of the soldiers began making too much noise all muttering something about the lights turning on or something along those lines. Sawyer rolled his eyes, before piping up in a loud whisper, "Would you please SHUT the fuck up!" He was irritated by the stupidity of the soldiers under him. Then using a mix of hand signals he guided the men to follow behind him as he made his way down the main road towards the apartment. Then when he reached the building he looked towards the men signaling them to wait for him while he goes and scopes it out.

Putting his Ak over his shoulder to dangle behind his back, Sawyer made his way up the fire escape, quietly and slowly, not wanting to alarm anyone that may be in there. Once he reached the room the window that all the light poured out from, he had to choice but to break it open with his elbow due to it being locked, he made his way into the living room glancing around. Quickly searching the entirety of the apartment he saw no signs of anyone. It was obvious whomever was in here hadn't escaped through the entrance because it was barricaded and every window was locked, including the one that he broke open. So how in the hell were the lights turned on with no way in or out and no people inside?

Sawyer climbed back out of the window and shouted down to his men, "It was a set up! Probably from an anti-human!" When he said that word, the commotion began to travel through the men once again. He made his way back down to the soldiers quickly and once he was back with them they all grew quiet. "Alright men. They must know we're here. We don't know what they are capable of and by the looks of things, they already know we're here. So we have to be smart! We have 1 and a half hours left in this town or we're dead along with them. So we're going to break up into 3 groups!" Moving throughout the men he separated them accordingly. "Alpha team search all the houses in the outskirts to the North and East. Beta team, same but to the south and west. Charlie team, you're coming with me... We're falling those tire tracks!"
