Since then he has made it his goal to understand magic and its origins.
Abiding the rules of the council, he worked hard to acquire a position in which he could come in contact with those using forbidden abilities.

So begins...

Catherine instead did manage to choke on her coffee upon hearing the words out of the assistant director's mouth. Finally able to draw a breath without coughing, she looked at her coffee in deep suspicion. This sort of behavior was completely abnormal from the assistant director and had caught her off guard. "Let's not and say we did.." She finally said looking at the trio that sat in front of her at the table. This was going to be a long meeting, she could feel it already.

Sighing she grabbed a napkin and wiped up the coffee that had spilled across the conference room table, luckily avoiding getting doused in the stuff. "She'll be expecting us back at that club, and no way in hades am I setting foot in there again. Especially with Fisher." The man was persona no grata after the stunt he'd pulled. "Hit hard, and hit fast is really all I can tell you." Catherine added pushing the soggy napkins off to the side, she'd have to get more coffee.

Glancing up at Dawson, Catherine could only offer a shrug. "I don't know." Was all she said before turning her attention back to the director. "I believe he means that earlier this week.. several territory lines were crossed in our district without permission. The Court of the Dragon, White Rose, and Trinity pack are calling for blood."

Molly's eyebrow shot up. "And given the rumors going about the office, I'm going to say that everybody's favorite necromancer is the cause of all of this. Word is he's looking for a little girl, though that's all anyone is saying. If he stood you up, that's probably why." She shrugged at this, uncertain, and then shook her head. Brandon got into so much trouble, she was surprised eh was even still alive. Case in point: Hanh Dam, who still hadn't surfaced.

"The house it is. I might could take her, but I would appreciate backup, just in case she zaps me." It wouldn't be the first demon she had taken down, nor the first she had taken down on her own, if it came to that. She woman smiled slightly and shook her head. "I'm not exactly immune to a succubus after all." She didn't have that luxury. Women could be a bit of a weakness for her, if she wasn't a bit too absorbed in her work with MCU.

"You had me at the opportunity to kill someone needs dying." Dawson chirped excited about the job. "Who made you so violence oriented?" Lex enquired casually. "Really dad? Like you need to ask... Uncle Jr, of course. " The sub director then let out a snort. " I actually didn't see the resemblance until just now." He mused.

Molly grinned at this. "Look. I have back up now." In the form of Brandon's old playmate and semi-cousin figure. That would be interesting. Hopefully it wouldn't over complicate matters. She considered things and then nodded. "And if Fisher can make it, he can join in." But something was up there and she didn't know what it could be, not yet. She'd have to poke around.

Fisher had been pretty absent since the club, even in the office itself. It was a little worrying, but she was sure everything would be fine. The senior officer was a big boy and could take care of himself. Who knew, maybe he was working on a bust or something that she wasn't privy too. The junior officer hoped that was the case. How was she supposed to duct tape Fisher to the wall if there was no Fisher to duct tape, after all.

Come to think of it, Warden Bennet wasn't around nearly as much either as well. Maybe they were working together. The woman mentally shrugged to herself. She had her back up, and she had taken down worse with less. Besides, he was a councilor's son. Surely he was at least half trained.

How many cups of coffee was this now? Three? She couldn't exactly count this morning, the luke warm and spilled cups didn't seem to count towards whatever quota of coffee she was working towards. Having thrown away the soggy napkins, Catherine had given up on any more coffee for the morning. "Keep digging and I'll find you a nice cozy grave over at Green Oaks." She glowered at the assistant director not terribly keen on bad, ill fitting jokes that morning.

Turning towards Molly, she nodded. "Dawson as is reliable as any of our other officers, speedy too, which has it's advantages." Catherine agreed. Dawson and Molly, that would be an interesting, if not reliable pair. Both were good at what they did, and both could get the job done without too much bullshit. Dawson and Brandon tended to make too much of a game out of it all.

"As for Bennet and Fisher, don't ask too many questions Bronson."

"Yes ma'am." She could avoid asking questions easily enough. The woman considered it very carefully and then offered a smile to Dawson. "Alright partner. You ever take down any demons before?" If not, then she could give him a crash course, and get some blessed weapons for him, if needed. As far as the fighter was concerned, her supplier remained the absolute best, and it meant she didn't spend hours carving runes into bullets like a certain someone.

The junior operated on the premise that store bought worked, and meant she didn't have to do anything in particular to do her job. The again, Molly's main demon fighting weapon was a pair of silver plated brass knuckles to give her already painful punches an extra special pain to them. And maybe a demon would get lucky and heaven would help them when she struck. She had always been a more physical fighter than most.

Catherine nodded as she listened to Molly make arrangements for this particular bust. It would be easy enough, especially since they were more than likely expected at the place of work instead of the residence. As for the Directors, they sat there, mostly dumbfounded that everything seemed to work so smoothly without them. In was almost as if the Warden's had built a team from the ground up, to bypass all of their political posturing and obstructionist behavior.

"Oh, by the way, Reznick, those field manuals of yours? Complete trash." Catherine remarked bluntly, as she pointed over to a stack of soft cover, wire bound, purple booklets crammed into the conference room trash can. "Really, I would have expected more from you." She added, disappointed. In all honesty, their field operations didn't need any revisions, it was their back end clerical that was in desperate need of help.

Molly snorted at this and then looked Dawson over again. "Come on. I need to find out what you can do before we go into the field. A nice spar should handle that, don't you think?" It would be interesting, measuring herself against a councilor's son to see where they stood. He was around Brandon's age too wasn't he? He should be strong enough to be a good challenge.

The fighter was rather excited at the idea of finding someone new to spar. Most of the other officers refused to anymore. It was a bit of a downer knowing that she didn't have a good partner, and most gyms she went to couldn't provide a good partner either. They all underestimated her way too much. Still, Dawson should be a good fight, assuming he knew how. "You can show me any skills you have there too. I prefer not to go in blind about my partner." It meant she could better plan with them too, which was a huge help.
