Molly calmly quietly took out her smartphone and took a picture of Warden Bennet once he had turned around. Then she put it back in her pocket and cast out her senses. It came easier this time, her Inhabitant stirring to help out of curiosity. "...Damn." Molly murmured and shook her head. She checked to make certain the mundane cops were far away, before she spoke. "The male is covered in demonic energy, Warden. Particularly his groin. If Bennet is right the demon must have taken near the water." It was either an incredibly stupid move or an incredibly smart one. It was also possible said creature had a kayak or canoe waiting. No one would think twice about it.

She bit her bottom lip and considered the scene, mind whirling. "It makes sense. There was a shoe print, pressumably a stilleto, near the bank." She informed her superior. "If the demon followed the bank, there's enough tree cover she probably wouldn't have been seen." Or Molly assumed a she, by the shoe print.

At the other end of the crime scene sat a white toyota corolla, with crime scene techs swarming the place. The front passenger doors were open, and the officer in charge of the scene walked over to greet Fisher and Bennet.

"You the poor saps this case is being handed to? Saw the bodies at the other scene. They were creepy." He shrugged it off. "Come on. We haven't found much. The girl's panties and bra. Men's clothing, a complete outfit. Her purse, and a man's wallet." It was weird, and between the rain and dealing with having to redirect traffic around the potential scene, he wanted this over with.

“Yes, that would be us. This is Senior Officer Fisher, I’m Warden Bennet. The evidence was all found within the car?” Ezra felt terribly rude for feeling more compelled to pay closer attention to the vehicle than the man he was supposed to be speaking to, but something bugged him about it almost immediately. He just needed to figure out what. Until then, Fisher would surely take care of this conversation with his impressive social skills.
The moment he did notice what was off, he couldn't believe it had taken him as long as it did. It was the driver’s seat he kept returning to. It seemed suspiciously close to the steering wheel. “Has anyone moved the seat, to look under it perhaps, or has it been this way when you found it?"

"Officer Fisher, Warden Bennet." He nodded to the two. "And no, it's been that far forward since we arrived." He admitted and then frowned. "Whoever drove it last must have been very short." It would have been too close for him to sit down in the seat even. "And not overweight." Short and not overweight wasn't exactly a great description, but it was something at least.

The officer frowned at this and then shrugged. "Good eyes warden. I'd check that against the victims height. If they aren't short too, then that's pretty helpful evidence." Unless it was some sort of forensic countermeasure, but homicides rarely involved forensic countermeasures, not such clearly passionate ones like this.

“I'll ask someone on scene”, Ezra muttered into his beard, trying to look casual while he typed the message to Miss Bronson at an excruciatingly slow pace. His fingers weren't wide, really, but they looked like they would need keys the size of saucers whenever he used the microscopic touchscreen. His next phone would have actual buttons again.
“Thank you for your help, officer. We'll take a look around, if you don’t mind. “ He was keen on sweeping the scene for the magic residue of the other after jotting down a few notes on the evidence found as well on the licence plate number.

"Go ahead." the officer said, as Molly grabbed the preliminary ME report at the other scene. Hm. She shook her head and then texted back. 'Victim heights: female 5'6", male 5'7".' A moment later and a second text came through. 'Why is everyone so damn short in this world?' That done, she nodded to the medical examiner and he loaded them in the truck. This crime scene was basically finished being processed. She stopped the examiner briefly to go over the man's body and bag a single long hair she had just caught sight of. Sloppy work.

If Ezra continued to look, he would find some residue on the driver's seat. Some lingered at the window of the car, as if magic was done while touching the frame. In truth, there wasn't quite enough to pin point what sort of demon had been there.

An uncomfortable smile forced it's way across Alexander's face. He was at Athena's library to seek her guidance in regards to the murder case. What he was getting instead was measured in some very awkward ways. At one point he let out a surprised squeak in protest followed by a startled, "Hands!" The scholarly mother figure glanced up at him with a perched eye brow. Granted Athena didn't look a day over 23 but she had an eternally motherly aura to her. "Alexander do try to calm down I am a chaste Goddess after all. This is strictly professional I assure you."

His eye brow raised a bit at this response. Come to think of it what exactly was so crucial about her taking his measurements. "Far be it from me to impertinently question a Goddess, one I respect for that matter. But what in the blue blazes of the underworld are you up to Athena?" He asked. Athena instead took one last very thorough measurement before glancing up at him with a grin that instantly made him wish he hadn't been stupid enough to ask the question. The answer made him grimace all the more so, "Alexander Summers, I am going to make an honest man out of you." His face reddened; it was hard for Athena to make out if it was irritation causing his blood pressure to sky rocket, or if he was blushing, or maybe a little bit of both. "And just who do you propose to have domesticate me, who won't grow old and die in what for me has become the blink of an eye." He questioned. Again with the grin that instantly made him wish he hadn't asked in the first place.

Athena first snapped her fingers causing Alexander's militaristic no frills field garb to disappear. It was instantly replaced with a blue pin striped fitted suit with a baby blue tie to offset but compliment the suit. Then she added with a sadistic grin, "I'm not sure domesticating you is what she'll have in mind." And with a second snap of her fingers Athena made Alexander disappear from her library and reappear in Junes office. He sighed softly and cleared his throat a little bit. Lex had known since just before the battle with Valcanus that June was Artemis. He kept this a closely guarded secret. But when they were alone he'd taken to once again using his old pet name of 'Arty' for her. "Arty you seriously have to have to have a conversation with your Owl loving sister about boundaries."

June hadn't expected any visitors today, much less Alexander. Raising a slender eyebrow at his current choice of get up, she wondered what exactly was going on. "Sometimes boundaries need to be crossed Alexander." She said calmly enough. To be honest, she had no idea what exactly Athena had thought she was doing by putting the poor man in a suit and then sending him on his way to her office of all places.

"I think this is probably one time when it's a good thing my sister did it, owl loving or not. But it is nice to see you." June continued offering Alexander a sympathetic smile. "You realize that you haven't had a single day off since WWI or maybe WWII? With the exception of when Dawson was born of course." She added putting aside the book she'd been reading. "Have a seat Alexander, I think we need to talk about you taking a potential sabbatical for awhile."

June truly cared about Alexander, but not in the way her sister wanted her to it seemed. That part of the relationship was over, never to be resurrected or spoken about again.

Catherine just looked at Rafael and refrained from replying. 'And what does he think we're here for besides his entertainment?' She thought sullenly. Right now, she just prayed that they could pull off the arrest and capture without calling too much attention to themselves, because a fight with a succubus right in the middle of a strip club was never a good idea. "She may, but it would be unusual." Catherine finally said as she pulled herself together enough to think coherently. She was going to pay for this adventure one way or the other, and she wasn't sure she was ready to pay that price in the morning.

Moments later, while everyone was busy trying to sort out their next move in this massive game of chess, the lights on the main stage lowered and the music changed. Smoke began to pour in from both sides of the stage, lit by purple and blue lights an eerie glow on the stage. Sitting on a large luridly red and gold velvet sofa, was an attractive woman in a red sequined evening gown that left little to the imagination of the viewers.

Standing slowly, and sensually from the sofa, she began her routine as 'I am a good girl' played in the background.

The woman's eyes scanned the room as she went through her acrobatic routine, swinging from pole to floor and back to the pole. The whole thing was designed to make her look cute, innocent even, but that was not the case. She could feel the lust, desire, and greed radiating from the room like so much heat. Feigning innocence as articles of clothing came off revealing more and more, she began to make more of an effort to work the audience into a frenzy.

So what if she wasn't supposed to be here? No one would ever miss any of these low life degenerates, who seemed to have nothing better to do than spend their money in a club.

The phrase no rest for the wicked came to mind as she sat in the conference room, stewing over a cup of lukewarm coffee. So Brandon decided to storm out of her office after a very heated argument, it wasn't the first time, and likely wouldn't be the last. The thing now that needed to be taken care of, wasn't the problem with Bethany, but the succubus. 'No more strip clubs.. god that was awful..' She thought to herself putting a hand over her face in realization how horrible that night had truly been. Rafael had been intent on getting them all three sheets to the wind, and compromising their operation.

They were supposed to be having a staff meeting, and the director along with the assistant director had just entered the room; looking for all the world like they had just swallowed a bitter lemon whole. "Well, we're early today." Catherine snarked. The two couldn't be on time if their life depended on it.

Lex sat there arms cross with a generally disapproving expression written across his face. The date with Catherine started out well enough, only to be interrupted by a mission which got loused up. Though he did find the humor, once he found out, in Catherine getting a lap dance. Not for the discomfort that it caused her, but mainly for the discomfort it would cause the idiot who paid for said lap dance. "Just for the sake of clarity and being on the record I would like to vote that we never take a succubus, incubus, Aphrodite, or any other sexual energy based demon case ever again." He was of course only speaking in a tongue and cheek manner. He grinned over to Catherine.

December 21, 2015

Molly had heard, vaguely, about Brandon's search for a little girl, though details in the rumor mill were vague, and looking at Catherine, she decided she didn't want to ask for any sort of clarification at all. Instead, the woman sat at the conference table and ran through her notes of the night in question, and looked over the notes on the surveillance of the succubus that they had managed to get. They had her home base as well now, thank God. Now they'd just need to perform the sting when they knew she was home, and hopefully catch her off guard. It was certainly possible, at least.

And then the assistant director and the director showed up and Molly went very still, and quiet. Dammit. She really didn't like these two and the feeling was very mutual. There were reasons Molly wasn't a senior officer yet and it wasn't her experience. It was these two buffoons.

"Seconded. Let's just send the hunters next time. It's not like they have a legal presence." Killing demons was a bit of a standard procedure. "Except for Aphrodite. We'll just send Councillor Summers." There was a hint of a smile about her lips at the suggestion.

Catherine just raised an eyebrow at both Molly and Alexander before getting up to get a fresh cup of coffee. It was obvious that she wasn't in the most wonderful of moods, but at least she had finally removed all that damnable glitter that Rahal in his drunken state had dumped all over her. "So what do you propose we do with them then, Bronson, Summers?" Catherine asked callously. "Besides sending hunters or staking Fisher out in his underwear somewhere." She added sourly.
To be honest she could have done without the little trip to the club, and had made sure that the dress found it's way into the furthest reaches of her closet.

Sitting back down at the table with her coffee, Catherine looked at both of the directors, daring them to say something about her proposed mistreatment of a senior agent. Instead they just sat there, looking nervously at each other before one finally spoke, "I feel or maybe we feel that.." The Director began before clearing his throat again. It wasn't every day that they had to talk to the Wardens and one of the Councilors; frankly they'd even prefer it that way. "We feel that... in light of the recent political upheaval, that perhaps..." Honestly the man wasn't sure what to say, he lacked the depth of experience that most people there seemed to. He felt like he was grasping at straws, placed into a position where he was sure to fail.

Alexander leaned forward with almost uncomfortable interest in what the director was saying, and intertwining his fingers to rest his chin the on them. "Yes... by all means enlighten me as to the nature of this political upheaval of which you speak. Or perhaps you could enlighten our lovely warden Ms. Catherine?" The tone in his voice, despite his normal humorous and bemused expression was no doubt a very delicately worded caution that the director to choose his next words very selectively.

The assistant director after fidgeting for some time, finally slammed his palms down to the table top and stood up pointing a finger at Lex. " What are you even doing here?! Aren't you a councilor? Shouldn't you be doing I don't know counseling up on a mountain far away from us letting us do our jobs?" He asked derisively. A tense silence fell through out the room and before it was finally broken by the almost gut wrenchingly, psychotic laugher of Alexander.

"And now we know who is playing which role." He replied with a grin, gesturing his arms out in an almost welcoming, shrug like fashion. "But, in answer to your brazen question sub director, no. I'm a councilor in as much my role in all of this is to meddle as I see fit." He explained plainly. "Usually it will be in your favor, so be thankful for that. Because, I like you, and you amuse me, if only in part because I used to have your job and you do it like I did. If you should be grateful that you amuse me... that is largely up to debate ."

The man gulped hard, feeling fear rising in his gut. Then however the assistant spoke nervously at first before relaxing, "Let's further discuss the options of tying Fisher to a stake in his underwear coated with KY jelly, and sicking, councilor Summers on Aphrodite. These aren't the worst plans I've heard come up in these meetings."

Lex nearly choked on his coffee before shooting obviously playful daggers at Catherine and Molly for their suggestions.

Molly offered Lex a grin. "As much as that would be hilarious." And where was Fisher anyway, or the new warden? Who knew what was holding either up. The woman offered a very diplomatic smile. "Perhaps we should focus back on the problem at hand. The succubus. We have both her work and home address. Do we want to take her down at work, or at home? And is it a permanent take down, or just arresting her, so she can be tried." The slight disgust was very clear in Molly's voice as she suggested the second option. She would rather it be a very permanent take down as opposed to letting the demon have a chance. Demons weren't to be trusted unless they had a stake in matters.

The only stake the succubus would have would be not being killed, and she would likely still be killed, if found guilty. "I'm for at home, and with a knife through her heart." Or her head chopped off. Both were incredibly effective on basically every creature in existence.

"I would concur if not for it being such a small target." A new voice entered the conversation from the door way. The man standing there was short muscular and covered head, tail, and toe in black spotted orange fur. He much like his father wore no frills attire. Black short leather bomber jacket worn open to reveal a well loved army t-shirt, khaki cargo pants, specifically built with his muscles, and tail in mind and uniquely woven fabric to prevent them from literally being ripped off of him at subsonic speeds. His boots were likewise special construction. "Dawson." Lex gave a casual up nod to the young man. "Dad. Aunt Catherine..... come to think about it where is that damned cousin of mine... the one who likes to play with the dead things.... he stood me up on a stake out the other night. Nothing worth mentioning so no harm done but so not like him."

Catherine instead did manage to choke on her coffee upon hearing the words out of the assistant director's mouth. Finally able to draw a breath without coughing, she looked at her coffee in deep suspicion. This sort of behavior was completely abnormal from the assistant director and had caught her off guard. "Let's not and say we did.." She finally said looking at the trio that sat in front of her at the table. This was going to be a long meeting, she could feel it already.

Sighing she grabbed a napkin and wiped up the coffee that had spilled across the conference room table, luckily avoiding getting doused in the stuff. "She'll be expecting us back at that club, and no way in hades am I setting foot in there again. Especially with Fisher." The man was persona no grata after the stunt he'd pulled. "Hit hard, and hit fast is really all I can tell you." Catherine added pushing the soggy napkins off to the side, she'd have to get more coffee.

Glancing up at Dawson, Catherine could only offer a shrug. "I don't know." Was all she said before turning her attention back to the director. "I believe he means that earlier this week.. several territory lines were crossed in our district without permission. The Court of the Dragon, White Rose, and Trinity pack are calling for blood."

Molly's eyebrow shot up. "And given the rumors going about the office, I'm going to say that everybody's favorite necromancer is the cause of all of this. Word is he's looking for a little girl, though that's all anyone is saying. If he stood you up, that's probably why." She shrugged at this, uncertain, and then shook her head. Brandon got into so much trouble, she was surprised eh was even still alive. Case in point: Hanh Dam, who still hadn't surfaced.

"The house it is. I might could take her, but I would appreciate backup, just in case she zaps me." It wouldn't be the first demon she had taken down, nor the first she had taken down on her own, if it came to that. She woman smiled slightly and shook her head. "I'm not exactly immune to a succubus after all." She didn't have that luxury. Women could be a bit of a weakness for her, if she wasn't a bit too absorbed in her work with MCU.
