Adrienne tries to be nice to people, but when they get on her nerves, she will slowly start to get less nice. She hates conflict, but will yell if she's aggravated enough. Adrienne definitely has some very girly aspects, but she's not afraid to get dirty. She is usually a laid-back girl, and she has insomnia. When she is interested in a boy, she won't go out of her way just to be around him, but will instead act completely normal, as in acting "uninterested". She has never really believed in true love because her father had instilled that into her mind after her mother left him. He told her that there was no such thing as true love, and there was no such thing as real contentment, but maybe this trip just might be the one to prove him wrong...

History

Family Life : Adrienne lives with her dad, her step-mom, and her older brother. Her older brother resents their step-mom because he thinks that she is taking their dad away from them. Although Adrienne kind of agrees, their step-mom had always been relatively nice to them, so she never hated her.
School life : Adrienne has plenty of friends. Somehow, she manages to keep her grades and social life in check, so she has satisfactory grades and can go to parties and whatnot. Her dad is friends with the vice principal of the school, but Adrienne never takes advantage of that fact.
Other: She can speak English (duh), Korean, and French.

Adrienne Madison

Adrienne turned on her phone and went on Twitter. She decided to make a few last posts before she left her beloved Boston.

"about to leave the lovely Boston, MA... gonna have a blast, i hope!"

She looked herself over in the mirror, checked her hair, smoothed out her skirt, and reapplied her mascara. Her phone buzzed multiple times. They were to notify her about comments on her tweet, but there was one text message.

"Your limousine will be arriving at your school in fifteen minutes. Be there."

Fifteen minutes? That was enough time. She checked her cherry red suitcase, her tote bag, and her favorite bag (which her dad had bought her last Christmas) to make sure she had everything. Once she was completely satisfied with her things, she grabbed a cardigan (just in case- it was a kind of chilly day in Boston, even though it was summer and all). She found her dad in his study.

"Dad, I'm leaving now," she said. "Tell Amanda and Max I say bye, and also, I'll call you if anything goes wrong."

He glanced up and said, "Okay, be safe."

She strolled out with her luggage and walked to her school. It was one of those stereotypical fancy East Coast schools, all reddish-brown brick, polished wood, and black roof. She looked around the school and thought about the trip. Was it really a good idea to leave her brother alone with her strange dad and step-mom? She shook the thought from her mind and waited for the limo. She took out her phone again and texted her best friend Aimee "leaving boston! gonna miss ya girl" as she put a pair of aviator sunglasses on. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a sleek black limousine. It pulled up in front of her, and Adrienne's eyes widened. It was gorgeous. The chauffeur stepped out and smiled as he asked if he could take her suitcase. He opened the door for her and put her bags away. She got into the limo, where a beautiful girl was already sitting. She knew that she must be Dahlia. Adrienne smiled widely, not shy at all and said,

"I'm Adrienne. Adrienne Madison."

Dahlia's heartbeats came in quick thrums as she descended down the airport escalator. She chewed her lip as her eyes scanned the sea of people down below. She adjusted her grip on the handles of her luggage, which was a large suitcase and a duffle bag. There was also her ukulele strapped to her back in its case. As her gaze flitted about the crowded lobby of the airport, she spotted her limo driver, dressed very business like and holding up a sign saying her name. Dahlia grinned and as she got to the bottom of the escalator she quickly made her way through all the people until she reached him. "I'm Dahlia." she told him with an ear to ear smile. This was Dahlia's first time travelling on her own, or even travelling at all, for that matter, but she was without nerves. She had time to be nervous on the way to the airport, and on the plane ride to Boston, but she now felt nothing but thrill.
The chauffeur extended his hand to shake. "It's a pleasure to meet you." he told her, smiling slightly at her obvious excitement. After they shook hands, he nodded curtly, "Would you please follow me." Dahlia nodded quickly and trailed closely behind him as he led her to one of the nearest exits. As soon as they went out the automatic sliding doors, Dahlia was met with the sight of a beautiful sleek, black, shining limousine. It was like nothing she had ever seen in Paia, her small Hawaiian hometown. The chauffeur opened the back door of the limo and took Dahlia's luggage in one hand, and held out the other hand for her to take as she stepped into the limo. Once she was in her seat, he closed the door and went to put away her bags before he got in the drivers seat. Dahlia looked around her in amazement. She had thought the outside of the limo was impressive, well, the inside was really something to behold. It was so posh, so luxurious, and even after putting a little more effort into what she wore than usual, she still felt out of place in the glamorous vehicle, which was probably fit for even the highest profile celebrities. She was completely busy just glimpsing around at all that it had to offer when the driver spoke, pulling her back into reality.
"As I'm sure you've been told, we're going to be driving to a nearby school to pick up a fellow contest-winner, Miss Adrienne Madison, before we head to New York." Dahlia smiled big and nodded, remembering the text she had received about it. Most of the winners were picked up from their schools, but since Dahlia lived out in Hawaii, she came by plane to Boston, which was where Adrienne resided.
Her heart flew in her chest as the limousine came into motion. Her smile grew uncontrollably as she looked out the window. It wasn't long before they arrived at a beautiful looking school building, so different than the kinds that were found in Hawaii. Just then, Dahlia noticed the girl who she guessed was Adrienne standing in front of the school. Dahlia watched as the chauffeur got out of the limo and took Adrienne's bags, just like he had done for her, and opened the door for the limo and let her in. The second that the girl was in the limo, she spotted Dahlia and smiled big, "I'm Adrienne. Adrienne Madison." she introduced herself. Dahlia returned smiled a bit more self consciously than the other girl and held out her hand to shake, "I'm Dahlia Cooley. Pleasure to meet you." After they shook hands, she reached up to brush some hair in front of her ear. She was certainly better than she was a few months ago when it came to the faint, but large scar that ran down her temple, left as a result of her surfing accident, but she still hadn't completely come to terms with it, and would hide it as much as she was able.

Adrienne Madison

Adrienne had the best sleep of her life. She knew that Dahlia probably didn't have the best impression of her (what if she thought that she was one of those perpetually sleepy people?) and she also knew that she was missing a lot of get-to-know-you time, but when a girl's gotta sleep, a girl's gotta sleep!

She woke up with a start as the soothing lull of the limousine suddenly stopped and the driver said, "Ladies, we have arrived." She looked at Dahlia, and then out the window. She blinked. Were those... lights? Was that a hotel? Was this New York? Actually, she knew it was, but she still couldn't believe it! The hotel that they had stopped at was gorgeous. It was all buttery lighting and uniformed doormen. The whole building simply exuded luxury. Looking at Dahlia with an excited smile, she opened the door and hopped right out. She looked around, and immediately berated herself inwardly for acting like a tourist, although she had visited too many times to count. Maybe it was the limo that made it special?

The chauffeur stepped out and opened the trunk. Adrienne took out her glossy red suitcase and the rest of her bags. She was so glad that she'd brought her nice bags- her old ones would have looked terribly out of place. In fact, she felt a bit out of place in her sky blue skirt, white blouse, and cream-colored cardigan. She smiled and gave her thanks to the chauffeur and pulled out her phone- to go on Twitter, of course!

"Guess who's in New York? #excited"

She saw another limo, where a boy and a girl were standing. The girl was standing and looking around the city, in what was presumably awe. The boy was standing, rather aloof, with luggage surrounding him. He seemed impatient to get to the hotel.

She turned back around to the limousine, her dangly earrings tapping her temple with the sudden movement, waiting for Dahlia.

"You ready?"

"okay..." I paused briefly while picking up one of her bags.

I walked into the large hotel. The lobby was very grand- A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling. At the desk there was a dark-haired woman with a pale complexion who had an almost un-natural smile.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The lady beamed

"Erm... I have a room booked under- Campbell? Number 001"

"Oh, yes" She pulled out a slip of paper.

"Sign here, and here. Please put your D.O.B here."

A lady walked in with a sparkling dress on and I felt very self-conscious. The whole place looked more like a palace than a hotel I wondered what the rooms would be like. All I knew was that I was very tired and needed to sleep.

Two girls around my age- who I'm guessing are in the vacation walked in. I hope they're not in my room because I don't want to go through the embarrasment of sleeping beside a stranger and actually knowing about it.

The lady with the dark hair handed me gold-coloured glossy card with the words 'Ty Warner suite' imprinted on it. I stepped out of the way of some twenty-something year old ladies dressed in pink, gold and blue sequined dresses

"Well, bye Logan see you tommorow." She smiled, waving

Adrienne walked in with Dahlia, gazing at the sheer elegance of the entire hotel. She saw the girl and the boy from earlier, but before she could introduce herself, she had to check in first. She went up to the receptionist and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Adrienne Madison- I think there's a room reserved for me? Maybe under the name of Steve Campbell?"

At the name "Steve Campbell", the woman understood and gave her a card saying "Ty Warner Suite". Adrienne gasped. She'd only heard of the Ty Warner Suite, nut she'd never dreamt of actually sleeping there! As Dahlia checked into her room, Adrienne decided to approach the girl first, who was saying goodbye to Logan, who was presumably the boy.

As she passed some haughty socialites, Adrienne finally got to the girl.

"Hey there, are you part of the vacation too?" She stuck out her hand. "I'm Adrienne Madison."

Dylan was about to walk into the amazing glass elevator when she heard someone behind her:

"Hey there, are you part of the vacation too? I'm Adrienne Madison"

The girl was slightly taller than Dylan, with light brown hair.

"Yeah!" she smiled enthusiastically "I'm really excited- no you know if you're 001?"

She gave another small smile.

"Yeah! I'm really excited- do you know if you're 001?"

Adrienne shrugged ((OOC: I didn't see the room numbers- any idea what might've happened?)). "I'm not quite sure, this whole vacation thing was pretty sudden, you know?" The girl was a bit shorter than Adrienne, and had blonde hair. Then she realized that she never told her her name. "Hey, what's your name, by the way?"

Dahlia smiled as Adrienne sat next to her. She could already tell she was a person who wasn't shy at all, or nervous and timid when first meeting people. She seemed like the type who Dahlia could become fast friends with. Dahlia herself did tend to be a little more on the reserved side while first getting to know someone, but it was people like Adrienne who made her feel comfortable and at ease, like she could be herself and not worry.
Just then, Adrienne spoke up next to Dahlia, "It'll only be a couple of hours to get to New York, right?" Dahlia focused her attention to their driver, interested to hear the answer. She had never traveled out of her home state before, so she had no sort of idea where was where and how far one place was from another.
"Two to three hours, Miss Madison." the chauffeur responded very formally. Much to Dahlia's relief, that wasn't nearly as long as she had been anticipating. She was never one for long car rides.
"Please, can you call me Adrienne? Miss Madison sounds so... formal." Dahlia found herself grinning. She knew that her and Adrienne would get along just fine. She looked over at her and gave her an amused, but undeniably friendly smile, then turned to look out her window once the cab came into motion. Boston seems like a beautiful city, Dahlia thought to herself as she took in the sights. Although all the high rises and sky scrapers were such an unfamiliar sight to the Hawaii native, and she heard that there would be even more at their first destination.
"Hey Dahlia..." she heard Adrienne say from next to her, causing Dahlia to turn her attention back to her. "I'm a little bit tired... I'm sorry I haven't talked to you very much... I'll... wake up in a bit, and then we should... get to know each other..." Dahlia smiled and nodded her understanding, Adrienne did sound quite tired. "Of course, no worries."
After Adrienne closed her eyes and dozed off, Dahlia dug through the pockets of her shorts and took out her Samsung galaxy. She opened up her Twitter and wrote an update:

Arrived in Boston not too long ago, what a cool city!! On the way to NYC now in a pretty sick limo! #woohoo

Dahlia set her phone down on her lap and then took out her iPod and stuck in her headphones, spending the rest of the limo ride listening to music and doing all the sight seeing she could from out her window. The ride really flew by, despite Dahlia not having much to do with her fellow passenger asleep. When Dahlia was pretty sure they were entering none other than New York City, she asked the driver, "This is it, isn't it?"
"It sure is." he told her with a smile. Dahlia grinned widely and looked at Adrienne, still fast asleep. She considered waking her, but decided that she would let her enjoy her last moments of sleep before they arrived at the hotel. Dahlia looked out the window, eyes wide. New York City was stunning, even more so than she had imagined... and her expectations had been pretty high.
It wasn't long after entering the city that they pulled up in front of the most impressive, glamourous hotel Dahlia had ever seen.
"Ladies, we have arrived." their cab driver announced. Dahlia bounced up and down in her seat slightly, biting down on her lip as she grinned widely. She glanced over to see if Adrienne was awake and saw that she indeed was, and was smiling just as eagerly. And then, without waiting, she opened her door and stepped out of the cab. Smiling, Dahlia did the same, hopping out and walking around the back of the vehicle to get her suitcase and duffle bag. And lastly, she took her ukulele case and put the strap over her shoulder.
She walked up next to Adrienne and stood beside her as they both took in the sight of the incredible hotel. A few moments had passed before Adrienne asked, "You ready?" Dahlia looked over to her with a slightly nervous smile and took a deep breath before giving a couple quick nods, "I'm ready."
The two of them went into the hotel together. It literally took Dahlia's breath away. She stopped right in her tracks and gazed around in utter amazement, before realizing that she should follow Adrienne to go check in. She stood with her in line, and after Adrienne was told what her room was, the receptionist asked Dahlia for her name.
"Dahlia Cooley. And I suppose I'd be booked under the name of Campbell, same as her," she said, nodding towards Adrienne, who was already taking off to go look around.
The receptionist tapped a few things into her computer and checked, "Ah, yes. You'll be staying in room 001, in the Ty Warner suite." The receptionist smiled as she handed her a card.
"Ah, ok-okay." Dahlia said uncertainly as she stepped away from the counter. She had no idea what a Ty Warner suite was, and how she'd find her room. Biting her lip, she clutched her card anxiously as she set off in the direction that she saw Adrienne go, hoping that she'd be able to follow her lead. It took a long time for Dahlia to make her way through the dozens of obviously wealthy people that filled the lobby. She felt more and more self conscious with each one that she passed. She was relieved when she finally caught sight of Adrienne and quickly headed in her direction. As she got closer, she noticed she was with a blonde girl who seemed to be about the same age, Dahlia guessed she was a contest winner as well because she too, was not dressed as lavishly as everyone around them.
Dahlia smiled as she approached them. She walked up just in time to hear the girl asking Adrienne, "Do you know if you're 001?" Adrienne just shrugged, but Dahlia remembered that 001 was the number the receptionist had told her.
"Oh! I'm 001." she gave the blonde girl a slightly timid, but friendly smile, and laughed nervously, "Looks like we're roommates, then." As she always did when first meeting someone, she made sure she had some hair hanging in front of her ear to cover her scar. Then she extended a hand towards her roommate, "I'm Dahlia Cooley."

"Oh! I'm in 001" A girl with blonde hair, like her, replied "Looks like we're roommates, then."

"Thats cool!" she grinned. This was gonna be fun.

"I can't wait to see the room. It's like $41,000 for one night- but we're here for free!"

"Hey, what's your name, by the way?"

"I'm Dylan- I know, it's a weird name for a girl!" She smiled again "I guess you guys have checked in, right?" Not waiting for a reply she asked them:

"Do you wanna come upstairs with me?"

"Do you wanna come upstairs with me?" Dylan asked.

Grinning widely, Adrienne agreed. She looked down at her card and her smile dimmed minutely.

"I'm in 004. Looks like I won't be with you guys, but at least we can hang out during the day!"

As the elevator doors opened, Adrienne wondered if they were allowed to go shopping. That would be nice- and the credit card her dad had given her would most definitely come in handy. She voiced her question to the two girls.

"Hey, do you know if the vacation people will let us go shopping later? If they do, we should totally go together!"

"Hey, do you know if the vacation people will let us go shopping later? If they do, we should totally go together!"

"Yeah, they probably will... NYC has lots of shops!" the elevator's door slid open. "I've heard the elevator is pretty cool!"

She motioned for them to come into the elevator and when they did it's doors slid closed again. The elevator was glass so you could see everyone at the ground floor becoming smaller and smaller.

"We're at the 52nd floor right?" She checked her card. Sure enough it said 52nd floor. "This is gonna be a long elevator ride..."

Ding!

Here we go...

"Bye Adrienne!" She waved as Adrienne turned to the room numbered 004

Dylan slid her card and It turned green. The doors swung open.

"Wow! this is amazing" The room was very spacious and had books stacked up at the sides and a grand piano in the middle.

She walked into another room which was undoubtly the bedroom. There had to be two of these because they're double beds and four of us in this room.

"Lets get first dibs" she giggled and put her stuff down.

"Hello how may I be at your service?" A woman with auburn hair in a bob said. Was she our butler?

I turned round to Dahlia in shock. Well, after all this is a posh hotel.

"Erm culd I get some pizza please" she smiled at the lady who smiled back. On her nametag was 'Nancy B' "can I call you Nancy?"

"Yes of course" She smiled in a friendly way then left.

"I'm gonna go to sleep quite soon because i'm really tired." As if on cue, she yawned.

"pizza is ready!"

"Thanks, Nancy!" She took a bite into the cheezy surface of the pizza and smiled "This is really good pizza"

"What do you wanna watch on TV?" She asked Dahlia

Adrienne said bye to her new-found friends and went to room number 004. She swiped her card and the light flashed green. The door clicked gently open and Adrienne was almost a little afraid to touch the gold doorknob. She opened the door and she had a hard time containing her excitement and nervousness. In the room was a giant grand piano and shelves after shelves of books. The entire room was just so modern, so posh, that she felt extremely out of place. She would have to change into something nicer. She wandered around the suite, peeking inside the bathrooms, flipping through magazines on a glass coffee table, etc. She saw a lady butler? maid? standing by the door, which surprised Adrienne, and then she greeted her. After the butler asked if she wanted anything, she thought about it for a moment and said, "Erm... do you guys have caramel macchiatos?" The butler nodded and left the suite. Adrienne then noticed that she hadn't looked in the bedrooms yet. She found two doors that she hadn't yet opened, and decided that they were the bedrooms, and that two people were probably staying in one room and two people in the other. She wondered if anyone was already in the suite. She took a few tentative steps to the first door and knocked. Hearing no reply, she opened the door and poked her head in to find a boy already sitting on the bed.

"Oh hi! I guess you're one of my three other roommates! I'm Adrienne Madison," she said with a friendly smile. "I'll go put my stuff in the other room, if you want."

Kevin searched the girls face, "Name's Kevin... uh... can I call you Addie?" He wasn't good with names... everyone he met had a nickname. He motions to the free bed, "Feel free to crash in here... "That's cool!" responded the girl who was apparently her roommate for New York, Dahlia had yet to learn her name. ""I can't wait to see the room. It's like $41,000 for one night- but we're here for free!"
"Yeah!" Dahlia grinned big and nodded quickly. "It's amazing."
"Hey, what's your name, by the way?" she heard Adrienne ask the girl.
"I'm Dylan- I know, it's a weird name for a girl!" Dahlia smiled and shrugged as if to say, 'nah, not really.' "I guess you guys have checked in, right?" Dahlia nodded, but before she could speak, Dylan asked, "Do you wanna come upstairs with me?"
Both Adrienne and Dahlia agreed, and Dahlia was quite relieved now that she didn't have to find her room all on her own. As they waited for the elevator to reach the bottom floor, Adrienne looked at her room card.
"I'm in 004. Looks like I won't be with you guys, but at least we can hang out during the day!"
Dahlia frowned slightly at first, but then nodded a bit, "This is true. There should be lots to do in this city!" Just then, the elevator doors opened and the three stepped in. As they did so, Adrienne spoke up, "Hey, do you know if the vacation people will let us go shopping later? If they do, we should totally go together!"
"Oh my gosh, yes! Hopefully they'll be fine with it, I don't see why not though!"
"Yeah, they probably will... NYC has lots of shops!" Dylan added in. Then, she checked her card and said, "We're at the 52nd floor right? This is gonna be a long elevator ride..." Dahlia nodded and sighed, biting her lip. Just like with car rides, she wasn't big on elevator rides either. Any extended amount of time in a confined space wasn't her greatest idea of fun.
Finally, the elevator came to a stop and with a ding, the doors slid apart. Dahlia went out into the hallways with Adrienne and Dylan, and spotted the door to her and Dylan's room right away.
Of course, Adrienne had to go off to her different room. Dahlia waved to her and said, "Well, bye Adrienne, see you soon," and Dylan said her goodbyes as well. Dylan used her card to open up their room and when she swung the door open they were met with an amazing sight. The suite was incredible. Dylan ran off to go find the bedrooms, but Dahlia immediately rushed over to the giant floor to ceiling window which offered a spectacular view of the city.
"Wow." Was all Dahlia managed to say as she stared out in amazement. Then she heard Dylan's voice coming from the bedrooms, "Lets get first dibs." Dahlia grinned and ran towards the bedrooms with her bags and luggage. She stopped in the hallway in front of the two bedrooms, unsure which room to pick. She felt a little awkward having to choose, because on one hand she didn't want Dylan to think she didn't like her by picking the room she wasn't in, but what if Dylan didn't want to share a room with her?
Before Dahlia was able to decide, someone's speaking diverted he]r thoughts.
"Hello how may I be at your service?" Dahlia frowned, wondering who the random woman was in their suite and turned to Dylan to see if she had any idea, but she looked just as shocked.
"Erm could I get some pizza please?" Dylan asked the woman. Dahlia was still a bit uncertain, were they REALLY getting their own personal butler?
"Yes of course." the lady smiled and left. Dahlia realized she probably should have asked for something, but she wasn't really hungry anyways, and she wasn't sure what sort of vegan options you could find at this place.
"I'm gonna go to sleep quite soon because i'm really tired." Dylan told her. Dahlia wondered why everyone she had been with so far today was so tired, but she smiled and nodded, "Alright, suit yourself." Maybe it was the time difference, Hawaii was several hours behind most states. Dahlia wandered back over to the window, deciding she'd pick her room later, maybe after their other two room mates showed up.
It was a surprisingly quick amount of time before the butler returned. "Pizza is ready!"
As Dylan started on the pizza, Dahlia sat beside her, not that she wanted to eat any, but she figured that she should visit with her new roommate and not spend all her time standing quietly by the window.
"What do you want to watch on TV?" Dylan asked her. Dahlia frowned slightly and thought about it, "Ummmm, what shows would you recommend? I don't know of any, I really never watch much TV." she smiled apologetically.

"Name's Kevin... uh... can I call you Addie? Feel free to crash in here, I don't bite- much. I've been alone this whole trip, so it's nice to have some company." Kevin said.

Adrienne cringed slightly- Addie was what her grandmother called her.

She laughed a little and said, "I'd rather that you didn't call me Addie but some of my friends call me Ri. Like, ad-RI-enne?" She set her bags down on the other side of the bedroom. She heard a faint knock on the door and said, "Oh, that's, uh, probably Alyce here with my macchiato." She stepped out of the room and sure enough, Alyce was there with the most amazing looking caramel macchiato that Adrienne had ever laid eyes on. Grinning, she thanked Alyce and took the macchiato. She took a sip of it and closed her eyes. "Alyce. You are amazing, and I will always remember this delicious concoction that you've given me today."

She returned to the room and asked Kevin, "Hey, do you know if we should change into something nice? I feel really plain in my regular clothes."

Hearing the soft click of the door, Adrienne turned around to see two boys coming in.

"Hey," one of them said. "I'm Keenan and this is Oskar- we're twins."

Adrienne laughed a little bit. "Yeah, I kinda guessed that. I'm Adrienne, nice to meet you!"

She supposed that she was the only girl in her room and sighed a little. Then she realized something. There were only two rooms. There was only one bed in each room. Was she supposed to... share a bed with a boy? This should be straightened out at once.

"Um, by the way, who's staying in which room?" she asked.

Adrienne shrugged off the aversion of her question. All of her roommates looked like nice people- she was sure that they'd get along just fine. The twins would be hard to tell apart though. Maybe the talkative one was Keenan. Or maybe he was Oscar. She wasn't quite sure. She pulled out her phone.

"in the ty warner suite! aaaaaaah! this is crazy!" she tweeted.

Putting her phone back into her pocket, Adrienne took a sip of her coffee. She smiled at each of the boys in turn.

"Sooo," she said. "What now?"
