Dylan grew up with the world on her shoulders. Ever since she was little, her mom has pressured her to be the best; whether its in school, in sports, or lately, competitions involving trips. Dylan knows that her mom has good intentions, she wants her to succeed but sometimes the pressure is just too much.

Dylan is the kind of girl who will hide everything behind a smile. Even if things are going terrible she doesn’t let on about it. A reason being because she doesn’t feel like she can truly trust anyone other than herself. Saying that, she is sensitive. If you shout at her she will either cry or just walk away. She always tries to find the best in people.

When you first meet Dylan, you will most likely see the confident side of her, because she doesn’t like to seem shy to strangers. She lives to impress, whether it’s having the coolest phone to doing a handstand for very long.

One more thing. She adores music. Any kind of music. She can play the flute almost perfectly and carries it with her everywhere. If you leave her alone for around a minute, she'll probably be playing some random tune she's memorized by heart.

History

[each one around 3-4 scentences]

Family Life : Dylan has a simple family. Her mom, her thirteen year old sister, and her. Dylan's dad divorced her mom before she was born, just as he found out the news that Dylan was being born. She guesses he didn't want to commit to a family. Dylan's mom is usually at work so Dylan's main 'mother figure' is her 'aunt' Eliza. Eliza isn't really dylan's aunt, Eliza is her moms friend. In January Eliza married a oceanologist from Australia and has never visited since.

School life : Dylan is fairly popular in school. She's basically an average student, her grades range from B minuses to A's.

Other : She is half hungarian. Dylan speaks fluent Hungarian and Japanese.

" New York! Wow... Just leaving the house"

" Feeling Anxious #Ohno"

Click. Clack. Click.

My suitcase made that noise as it ran across the gravel. The school was a few blocks away from my house, but I could see it now. I reviewed the exterior one last time. The red bricks, and the endless graffiti. I hated the very though of that place. All of the drama in my life was temporarily gone. But somewhere deep in my mind I knew I had to return to that horrible, horrible place.

Happy thoughts.

I settled down on a bench thst was near the school, but not facing it. I ran everything over everything going on in my mind. I was going to New York. I quietly day-dreamed about The big apple until a familiar noise snapped me out of it. A text message. I pulled out my phone and It flashed 'Text from Steve Campbell' I clicked on it. It read:

'Get ready to meet Logan. The Limo arrives in five minutes."

I read this over a few times until I realised what it meant. I'm meeting this 'Logan' in the limo. I knew a few things about Logan. He was a boy, for sure. Atleast I didn't know of many girls called Logan. But then again I was called Dylan. This was confusing!

And 'he' was in the vacation.

Just like me.

I grabbed all my bags and brushed my hair. I needed to look presentable. I applied a layer of lip gloss and a lick of mascara.

I had a sudden lust for music. My ipod was stuffed neatly in my bag. I pulled it out and put on my favourite song.

"Left a good job in the city
Working for the man every night and day
And I never lost one minute of sleeping
Worrying 'bout the way things might have been

Big wheel, keep on turning
Proud Mary, keep on burning
Rolling, rolling, rolling on the river.."

"Dylan!"

I saw two figures running towards me.

One was my mother. She was an ex-model and looked it too. She had pale icy blue eyes and light brown hair. I've always envied her clear, tanned complexion . She was born in Hungary. The other was my sister. She looked exactly like me, but she was two years my junior, Her name was Marney.

"What are you doing here?!" I asked surprised.

"Coming to say goodbye" Marney said in her usual sugar-sweet voice. She had this way of rooting inside people.

For a moment, no one said anything. We were just waiting.

Then it arrived.

I thought I was dreaming.

A sleek, black stretch limousine turned the corner. Marney gasped and my mom smiled and squeezed my hand.

This was it.

A silent tear rolled down my cheek as I hugged my sister and - to my surprise - my mother.

"Bye" the word was barely audible.

I gave my luggage to the chaffeur who carried it into the back of the limo. I took a deep breath and walked into the limo. I took in my surroundings. A blue light lit the limo. There was some soda. And in the corner- there was who i'm guessing is Logan. He was tall, much taller than me and his eyes stuck out to me most. They were dark brown. Almost like a cow's eyes , they told me he came from a tough background- but I could also tell he was sweet behind all that.

I wiped my last tear on my arm and stuck out my hand.

"I'm Dylan Willows"

Logan had just been sitting there with his ipod blasting Breaking Benjamin into his ears as he sat on the front porch of his house. He wasn't speaking to his mother right now for forcing him on this trip, so she had found no real point to attempt to say goodbye. He would just blow her off while she cried anyways. She was always trying to win him over with her tears though. He had pretty much grown immune to it. His suitcase was pretty small. Not like he really had much to bring. He sighed and looked at his watch. Where was this stupid limo? Steve had texted him that the limo would be there soon. His question was answered when the large black limo rolled up to his house. Great, people were staring. That was just what he wanted. He picked up his luggage, hunched his shoulders, threw his stuff in the trunk, and got in the limo. He turned his ipod off to save the battery.

"We'll be picking up one more person. Then we'll be off to the airport." Logan rolled his eyes. "Great." And with that, he rolled the window up between him and the driver. He wasn't here to socialize. If he could get his way, he wouldn't be here at all. But he had been forced. So, he got to sit in the car and wait while it drove to the next house. Eventually the limo stopped and a blond girl got in, wiping tears off her face, and introduced herself. He was kind of surprised she even talked to him. He ignored her hand, not wanting to touch anyone. "Uh, hey. I'm Logan." He said, then avoided her gaze, not really comfortable socializing.

"Uh, hey. I'm Logan."

I turned her head to the side for a moment.

What had just happened?

I rolled my eyes and almost threw herself on a seat.

"If you don't want to talk I understand"

I pulled my iPod out of my bag once again and just let a random song come on.

"Someday I'll be living in a big old city
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Why you gotta be so mean?"

I giggled inwardly. This song completely fitted my situation right now.

I was bored so I decided to write a diary, on my laptop, of things going on. My first entry is:

'Dear Diary.

Today has been great! The limo picked me up... that was cool. My sister and mom came to see me off. The only slightly bad bit was a few minutes ago. I met Logan. He hasn't been particularly nice to me, although he's only spoke to me once. There is a kind of awkwardness in the air... anyway I hope we'll make friends but that's not always the case.

Love,
Dill '

After a while I heard a noise and took one of my earplugs out.

"Excuse me, kids?" The driver's 'u' was extended.

I nodded.

"We're stopping for a restroom break. We're in New Jersey" I could tell he really needed to go- you know where.

I got out the limo and I scanned the location. It was a mall. From what I could see there is a Starbucks. I decide to go to Starbucks.

"Aren't you coming?" I ask, with a friendly smile hoping that I could at least get him to be nice to me.

Logan sighed as the limo stopped and ran a hand through his hair. Great. It was awkward enough to sit in the car after he had pretty much blown her off and she had given that attitude right back to him. He supposed he deserved it. He figured he'd end up pushing this girl away just like every other person, and she'd end up hating him. But hey, at least he'd be safe from harm. At least in his mind. He had no idea that staying away from people the way he did usually hurt people's Psyche. Not really his real concern anyways.

"Aren't you coming?"

Logan looked up, startled to see a friendly look on her face despite his pushing her away. "Oh, uh, sure, okay." His voice was a bit gravelly due to his not using it much. He cleared his throat and then climbed out of the limo, stretching slightly, looking around, not sure what he was supposed to do now that he was out here. He looked over at Dylan, waiting for some sort of direction.

Dylan was pleasantly surprised that Logan had agreed.

"Where do you wanna go?" she rocked on her heels and walked into the mall.

It was fairly big. To her right there was a starbucks. To her left, was a Forever 21

"We only have a little time but... yeah" She looked up at him and smiled.

Logan had followed the blond girl into the mall, shrugging his shoulders a bit. "I don't care." He said. Really, he didn't. He never went out much at all, so he didn't have any real preference to any store.

"If we don't have any time, then Starbucks would probably be better. Just sayin'." He looked over to Dylan. "Doesn't much matter to me." He ran his fingers through his hair again, still feeling a bit awkward. He was no good at communication.

She walked into starbucks.

"Hello!" She smiled at the woman at the counter "Could I have Caramel Latte?"

the woman nodded. She motioned for Logan to ask the lady what he wanted. She sat down at the nearest table and waited. She decided to tweet:

"In starbucks! can't wait for my latte! ;)"

She put her phone down as Logan came to sit.

Logan decided he didn't really want anything to drink. That would mean talking to people. He just walked over to the table and sat, raising one eyebrow at Dylan when he saw she was tweeting. "You're one of those girls that are attatched to the Internet, eh?" He rolled his eyes a bit. "You're only contributing to stereotypes, you know." He leaned back in his chair, looking at his thumbs and twiddling them together.

"Eh, sorry. I'm new to this. Have no real filter." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"You're one of those girls that are attatched to the Internet, eh?" Logan had rolled his eyes "You're only contributing to stereotypes, you know."

Dylan gave a kind of half smile.

"Erm... Not really."

The woman brought her drink.

"Thanks" She smiled at the woman, who smiled back.

The reason why Dylan didn't pay for it was because of the pass. Remember it's an all-expenses paid trip! you can buy any food under $50 and any other item under $100. Dylan thought this was good. She showed her pass and the woman scanned it at the checkout.

She sipped her latte. Logan was really looking anxious. Well, he kinda always does. Dylan was slightly confused.

"Logan? w-why are you so nervous... h-have I done something?" She had a worried expression on her face and a slight stutter in her voice.

"Logan? w-why are you so nervous... h-have I done something?"

Logan looked up at Dylan. "Hm? Uh, no. I just... don't talk to people often." He shrugged his shoulders and looked out the window a bit. If this was how the whole trip would be, then it was going g to be just as terrible as he thought.

He looked back to Dylan. "So, uh, that- erm- drink good?" He asked, not remember the name of whatever it was she had ordered. He was making some sort of attempt to be nice, but it was so hard for him to trust anyone still, even with small conversation. He couldn't tell if this girl was fake or not, though he figured he would find out soon enough.

She took another sip of her drink
"So, uh, that- erm- drink good?"

"Yes, well if you like caramel"

"Erm... excuse me miss?" she turned around, slightly startled. It was the limo driver.

she nodded.

"I think we need to go now"

Dylan was sure that she could bring her drink into the limo. She picked it up and walked away.

The limo moved again. Logan walked back into the limo. She smiled slightly.

She fell asleep instantly (in some awkward angle)

then she heard a noise

"We're in New York" the limo driver said

"Already?"

She looked out the window. There it was! The empire state building... wow

"Isn't this cool!" She said to Logan, slightly dazed.

When Logan stepped out of the limo, he coughed. He could already tell that the smog was everywhere in this city. Loud noises, crowds of people all pushing each other around. People being as fake as they can to fit in. Oh yeah, what a wonderful place. He looked over to Dylan. "Uh, yeah. Cool." His tone was a bit bitter and sarcastic and he grabbed his bag from the trunk.

"Well, you gonna stand there staring and label yourself as a tourist right away, or are you going to at least get yourself settled in?" He asked her, looking to her as he started unloading her baggage, but paused, not knowing if that was the right thing to do in this situation. He cursed his social awkwardness internally and waited for her answer. He really hoped she'd at least go to the hotel before doing anything else. While he didn't exactly want to play tourist, he would just so that Dylan wouldn't be alone. He knew just how dark the dark side of this city could be.

Adrienne Madison

Adrienne had the best sleep of her life. She knew that Dahlia probably didn't have the best impression of her (what if she thought that she was one of those perpetually sleepy people?) and she also knew that she was missing a lot of get-to-know-you time, but when a girl's gotta sleep, a girl's gotta sleep!

She woke up with a start as the soothing lull of the limousine suddenly stopped and the driver said, "Ladies, we have arrived." She looked at Dahlia, and then out the window. She blinked. Were those... lights? Was that a hotel? Was this New York? Actually, she knew it was, but she still couldn't believe it! The hotel that they had stopped at was gorgeous. It was all buttery lighting and uniformed doormen. The whole building simply exuded luxury. Looking at Dahlia with an excited smile, she opened the door and hopped right out. She looked around, and immediately berated herself inwardly for acting like a tourist, although she had visited too many times to count. Maybe it was the limo that made it special?

The chauffeur stepped out and opened the trunk. Adrienne took out her glossy red suitcase and the rest of her bags. She was so glad that she'd brought her nice bags- her old ones would have looked terribly out of place. In fact, she felt a bit out of place in her sky blue skirt, white blouse, and cream-colored cardigan. She smiled and gave her thanks to the chauffeur and pulled out her phone- to go on Twitter, of course!

"Guess who's in New York? #excited"

She saw another limo, where a boy and a girl were standing. The girl was standing and looking around the city, in what was presumably awe. The boy was standing, rather aloof, with luggage surrounding him. He seemed impatient to get to the hotel.

She turned back around to the limousine, her dangly earrings tapping her temple with the sudden movement, waiting for Dahlia.

"You ready?"

"okay..." I paused briefly while picking up one of her bags.

I walked into the large hotel. The lobby was very grand- A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling. At the desk there was a dark-haired woman with a pale complexion who had an almost un-natural smile.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The lady beamed

"Erm... I have a room booked under- Campbell? Number 001"

"Oh, yes" She pulled out a slip of paper.

"Sign here, and here. Please put your D.O.B here."

A lady walked in with a sparkling dress on and I felt very self-conscious. The whole place looked more like a palace than a hotel I wondered what the rooms would be like. All I knew was that I was very tired and needed to sleep.

Two girls around my age- who I'm guessing are in the vacation walked in. I hope they're not in my room because I don't want to go through the embarrasment of sleeping beside a stranger and actually knowing about it.

The lady with the dark hair handed me gold-coloured glossy card with the words 'Ty Warner suite' imprinted on it. I stepped out of the way of some twenty-something year old ladies dressed in pink, gold and blue sequined dresses

"Well, bye Logan see you tommorow." She smiled, waving

Adrienne walked in with Dahlia, gazing at the sheer elegance of the entire hotel. She saw the girl and the boy from earlier, but before she could introduce herself, she had to check in first. She went up to the receptionist and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Adrienne Madison- I think there's a room reserved for me? Maybe under the name of Steve Campbell?"

At the name "Steve Campbell", the woman understood and gave her a card saying "Ty Warner Suite". Adrienne gasped. She'd only heard of the Ty Warner Suite, nut she'd never dreamt of actually sleeping there! As Dahlia checked into her room, Adrienne decided to approach the girl first, who was saying goodbye to Logan, who was presumably the boy.

As she passed some haughty socialites, Adrienne finally got to the girl.

"Hey there, are you part of the vacation too?" She stuck out her hand. "I'm Adrienne Madison."

Dylan was about to walk into the amazing glass elevator when she heard someone behind her:

"Hey there, are you part of the vacation too? I'm Adrienne Madison"

The girl was slightly taller than Dylan, with light brown hair.

"Yeah!" she smiled enthusiastically "I'm really excited- no you know if you're 001?"

She gave another small smile.

"Yeah! I'm really excited- do you know if you're 001?"

Adrienne shrugged ((OOC: I didn't see the room numbers- any idea what might've happened?)). "I'm not quite sure, this whole vacation thing was pretty sudden, you know?" The girl was a bit shorter than Adrienne, and had blonde hair. Then she realized that she never told her her name. "Hey, what's your name, by the way?"

Logan walked into the hotel as well, following the crowd of teens that seemed to be showing up. Great. More socializing. And he'd have to share his room, and he had no idea whom with. "Uh, yeah, bye." He replied to Dylan before going to the check in desk. He got his room key from the receptionist and grabbed his bag, making his way to the elevator. It seemed he was the first one in his room to get there. Maybe that gave him some sort of privelege. He doubted it, but it was a nice thought.

When he made it to his floor, he made his way to his room. He unlocked the door and walked into the empty room. It was a great room, he had to admit, but he suddenly felt very lonely. Something he never felt. A giant city full of people, and he felt lonely. He felt like an idiot. Logan sighed and put his stuff down, sitting down in a chair, waiting for others to come.

Dahlia smiled as Adrienne sat next to her. She could already tell she was a person who wasn't shy at all, or nervous and timid when first meeting people. She seemed like the type who Dahlia could become fast friends with. Dahlia herself did tend to be a little more on the reserved side while first getting to know someone, but it was people like Adrienne who made her feel comfortable and at ease, like she could be herself and not worry.
Just then, Adrienne spoke up next to Dahlia, "It'll only be a couple of hours to get to New York, right?" Dahlia focused her attention to their driver, interested to hear the answer. She had never traveled out of her home state before, so she had no sort of idea where was where and how far one place was from another.
"Two to three hours, Miss Madison." the chauffeur responded very formally. Much to Dahlia's relief, that wasn't nearly as long as she had been anticipating. She was never one for long car rides.
"Please, can you call me Adrienne? Miss Madison sounds so... formal." Dahlia found herself grinning. She knew that her and Adrienne would get along just fine. She looked over at her and gave her an amused, but undeniably friendly smile, then turned to look out her window once the cab came into motion. Boston seems like a beautiful city, Dahlia thought to herself as she took in the sights. Although all the high rises and sky scrapers were such an unfamiliar sight to the Hawaii native, and she heard that there would be even more at their first destination.
"Hey Dahlia..." she heard Adrienne say from next to her, causing Dahlia to turn her attention back to her. "I'm a little bit tired... I'm sorry I haven't talked to you very much... I'll... wake up in a bit, and then we should... get to know each other..." Dahlia smiled and nodded her understanding, Adrienne did sound quite tired. "Of course, no worries."
After Adrienne closed her eyes and dozed off, Dahlia dug through the pockets of her shorts and took out her Samsung galaxy. She opened up her Twitter and wrote an update:

Arrived in Boston not too long ago, what a cool city!! On the way to NYC now in a pretty sick limo! #woohoo

Dahlia set her phone down on her lap and then took out her iPod and stuck in her headphones, spending the rest of the limo ride listening to music and doing all the sight seeing she could from out her window. The ride really flew by, despite Dahlia not having much to do with her fellow passenger asleep. When Dahlia was pretty sure they were entering none other than New York City, she asked the driver, "This is it, isn't it?"
"It sure is." he told her with a smile. Dahlia grinned widely and looked at Adrienne, still fast asleep. She considered waking her, but decided that she would let her enjoy her last moments of sleep before they arrived at the hotel. Dahlia looked out the window, eyes wide. New York City was stunning, even more so than she had imagined... and her expectations had been pretty high.
It wasn't long after entering the city that they pulled up in front of the most impressive, glamourous hotel Dahlia had ever seen.
"Ladies, we have arrived." their cab driver announced. Dahlia bounced up and down in her seat slightly, biting down on her lip as she grinned widely. She glanced over to see if Adrienne was awake and saw that she indeed was, and was smiling just as eagerly. And then, without waiting, she opened her door and stepped out of the cab. Smiling, Dahlia did the same, hopping out and walking around the back of the vehicle to get her suitcase and duffle bag. And lastly, she took her ukulele case and put the strap over her shoulder.
She walked up next to Adrienne and stood beside her as they both took in the sight of the incredible hotel. A few moments had passed before Adrienne asked, "You ready?" Dahlia looked over to her with a slightly nervous smile and took a deep breath before giving a couple quick nods, "I'm ready."
The two of them went into the hotel together. It literally took Dahlia's breath away. She stopped right in her tracks and gazed around in utter amazement, before realizing that she should follow Adrienne to go check in. She stood with her in line, and after Adrienne was told what her room was, the receptionist asked Dahlia for her name.
"Dahlia Cooley. And I suppose I'd be booked under the name of Campbell, same as her," she said, nodding towards Adrienne, who was already taking off to go look around.
The receptionist tapped a few things into her computer and checked, "Ah, yes. You'll be staying in room 001, in the Ty Warner suite." The receptionist smiled as she handed her a card.
"Ah, ok-okay." Dahlia said uncertainly as she stepped away from the counter. She had no idea what a Ty Warner suite was, and how she'd find her room. Biting her lip, she clutched her card anxiously as she set off in the direction that she saw Adrienne go, hoping that she'd be able to follow her lead. It took a long time for Dahlia to make her way through the dozens of obviously wealthy people that filled the lobby. She felt more and more self conscious with each one that she passed. She was relieved when she finally caught sight of Adrienne and quickly headed in her direction. As she got closer, she noticed she was with a blonde girl who seemed to be about the same age, Dahlia guessed she was a contest winner as well because she too, was not dressed as lavishly as everyone around them.
Dahlia smiled as she approached them. She walked up just in time to hear the girl asking Adrienne, "Do you know if you're 001?" Adrienne just shrugged, but Dahlia remembered that 001 was the number the receptionist had told her.
"Oh! I'm 001." she gave the blonde girl a slightly timid, but friendly smile, and laughed nervously, "Looks like we're roommates, then." As she always did when first meeting someone, she made sure she had some hair hanging in front of her ear to cover her scar. Then she extended a hand towards her roommate, "I'm Dahlia Cooley."
