Name: Br'nard Even'star
Age: Died around 1066 (Appears to be in his late thirties.)
Gender: Male
Race: Einherjar
Appearance:Personality:A rugged, hardened Barbarian with a rough demeanour, savage heart and Warriors spirit, Br'nard is a man who who places little importance in either sbutlety or tact, preferring to meet every challange in his path head on with strength, courage and steel!
Despite his wild nature however, Br'nard also possesses a keen wit and a wicked, mischievous sense of humour, as well as a savage streak of honour, he will never break his word, once it is given, nor abandon those he considers comrades, for within the mighty halls of his home, a Warriors word is considered his bond and loyalty to his tribe valued above all else.
When not in the thick of battle, or off out on some dangerous quest or other, Br'nard can usaly be found at the nearest Tavern, merrily drinking the establishment out of its entire stock of Mead while carousing, heckling the bards, feasting, swapping tales with other adventurers or simply getting involved in a good, old fashioned tavern Brawl!
Br'nard is a simple man of simple pleasures, as are most Norsemen, his favorite things in life being drinking, feasting, good company and battle!
As an Einherjar, Br'nard possesses an almost inherent mistrust for beings such and Angels and a burning hatred for Demons.
He also greatly dislikes Undead creatures, seeing them as cowards because no true Warrior would choose to have his soul remain tethered to Earth when it could be seated within the Halls of Valhalla.
Br'nard does, however, approve of Werewolves, believing their transformation to be a gift from Odin.
Despite his odvious savage streak, Br'nard remains a Stalwart Warrior of great strength and experiance who will never quail in the face of danger and will stand fast till the end.
Weapons & Armour:Scantly clad in scraps of fur and leather armour, his exposed skin covered in either scars, tattoos or woad the Asgardian cuts a savage sight, and in the way of most Warriors, his weapons are his most valued pocession;
Br'nard is usaly seen weilding either a large two handed Broadsword or a savage double headed battleaxe, he wears both weapons slung across his broad back, sheathed in a fur lined leather battle harness which makes up much, if not all of his upper bodys armour.
Br'nard's sword and axe were forged by the Sons of Ivaldi, a group of Dwarven Smiths who also created Odin's Spear and Thor's Hammer.
The weapons are heavily engraved with ancient Norse runes of strength and protection, as well as those of both ice and fire.
In addition to these weapons, Br'nard also carries a large hunting knife at his belt, as well as a selection of basic wilderness survival equipment, such as flints, feild dressing, a rope & grappel... oh and his hip-flask too, of course!
Abilities:Contrary to popular belief, the Norse Gods and Warriors of Valhalla are not immortal, they do age and can be slain- indeed many are destined to die in the final battle of Ragnarok which will mark the end of the world as we know it.
They are, however, very strong, long lived and difficult to kill.
Br'nard possesses immense, superhuman strength and endurance as well as accelerated healing and a greatly reduced ageing process-
A Warrior of Rock and Stone, Br'nard is also naturally resistant to magic, in the same way a troll or giant may be, and has extremely keen senses much like those of a wolf... Although he moves more like a bear.
The Einherjar also possesses an unshakable iron will and Warriors heart making him nigh on impossible to mind control, enthral or mentally assault,
However he is very set in his ways (Some would even say predictable) and those of great cunning who know the Barbarians personality and how he responds to different situations may be able to trick or manipulate him.
The Einherjar's Dwarf Forged weapons also bear runes of strength, protection, fire and ice and greatly enhance the strength and power of the wielder.
These Weapons are bonded to Br'nard and can be recalled to his hand at will, however should another Warrior of great worth be able to lift them (And only those who Odin would deem worthy would ever be able to do so) they will bond to their new wielder and bestow their powers to him.
Although getting him to let go of said weapons... Is another matter.
History:Contrary to their Angel counterparts of Christian Mythology, the Einherjar of Norse mythos are the souls of great Warriors who died bravely in battle, after they fall the Valkyries carry the spirits of these slain heroes across the mighty Bifrost bridge and into the realm of Asguard, where sits the mighty Hall of Valhalla, there Odin's chosen Warriors may drink, feast, train and battle in honour as they await the final conflict of Ragnarok.
Br'nard, in his mortal days, was a great Warrior of much strength, renown and skill, however he was constantly haunted by the savage Demon attack that, when he was a young man, had destroyed his entire Clan, including his mate and newborn son.
Enraged, the young Warrior swore an oath of Vengeance upon Demon kind and promised the souls of his fallen brothers that we would track down the Demon responsible for the slaughter if it took him an eternity!
Even Death has not broken Br'nard from his vow, as he has yet to find the Demon behind the attack on his people and because amongst the Norse 'Oath-breakers' are considered the lowest form of coward, Odin allowed his Warrior to return to earth to pursue his quest, fulfil his vow and finally put the soul of his dead kinsmen to rest!
So now Br'nard walks the Earth once more, seeking out and slaying Demons wherever he finds them he aims, after centuries of searching, to finally locate the Demon responsible for the Death of his people and wreak a terrible and bloody vengeance upon the creature...
And now, this search has led the Einherjar to the small, Canadian town of Elkhunt Ridge...
