The Vampire's Servant

The Vampire's Servant

0 INK

Three humans and two slayers with knowledge of vampire existence have been captured and sentenced to servitude for the rest of their natural life. But in that time will they find forbidden love between vampire and mortal? Or will death find them first?

Introduction

There was a place known to humanity as Sanguinis (though it’s called Romania now) which was ruled by a fair King and Queen. It was a peaceful kingdom that prospered under the wise King and Queen. Trade markets were open year round, harvests were good, travelers were welcome and wars were few. And as wealth increased, families grew and all seemed to be well within the kingdom’s walls. Though it drew little attention as few small kingdoms did in its time, the people there were happy and their rulers were kind.

However, though this kingdom seemed perfectly normal, there were more sinister things going on within its own walls. Things of which humanity had yet to know of, and pray would never find out, lest they panic and flail in the grip of the ones who truly rule.

The Vampires.

Vampires are not immortal beings but they age very slowly, living up to ten times the maximum age of a human (so roughly 1,000 years) providing that they take care for themselves. This means that they must feed on blood; human blood. Animal blood can work as a substitute in dire situations but will eventually make a vampire too weak and they will die within the span of a year as it does not possess the same qualities as human blood does. Human food follows the same rules; edible but not recommended.

Additionally they must avoid spending much time in direct sunlight as they sunburn much faster (and much worse) than a human would. They do not burst into flames unless lit on fire as vampires are extremely flammable. A stake to the heart or cutting off their head will kill them, but then again it would kill anyone. Vampire hearts do not beat unless they have recently drank blood, and it will wear off again (depending on how much they drunk) in a similar manner as alcohol would to a human. Drinking too much blood induces a form of "Blood Drunkenness" were a vampire will act as a drunken human would.

Garlic is simply nauseating and Holy Water or Holy Symbols are warm on the flesh, but neither are unbearable. They have reflections, they can sleep but do not need to, and though they are unable to enter a house uninvited they can merely pass this off as being polite. Given that vampires act so similarly to humans, it is very hard to tell the difference between the two. Vampires, though, have a certain grace about them, and are noticeably stronger and faster than an average human being. They heal faster too and do not often get sick (though it is possible). Again, a steady diet of human blood determines the strength and abilities of a vampire.

Vampires are all gifted with unearthly beauty, grace and charm, but very few are granted powers beyond the normal. Some can turn to bats or crows, speak to animals, and even summon animals (even humans) to obey them (known as hypnotism). Very few have telekinesis or can read minds. Drinking the blood of another vampire is absolutely FORBIDDEN and will result in the death penalty immediately. Vampire blood has been proven to drive the drinker insane and give them temporary impossible powers, then end up killing both the drinker and the victim vampire within a period of 24 hours. If you have powers that are not listed then you somehow managed to drink at least a drop of vampire blood without going insane. It was little enough you were spared fom the death row (or no one found out your little secret) but it gave you an unusual power of sorts. Beware though, vampire blood is highly addictive and dangerous.

ONLY the King and Queen are able to turn humans into vampires. Normal vampires have a venom that makes a person pass out so they can drink their blood, but it does NOT turn them into vampires. Vampires can have children though (a vampire mother and a vampire father), but this is very troublesome and most choose not to do so. Bearing a child that is half human-half vampire is punishable by death for the couple and their child. If a vampire expresses love to a human, the human is put to death for the vampire’s offense.

Though vampires are not all legends have built them up to be, they are powerful and they do control humanity like a puppet on strings. The humans are blissfully unaware. Most humans that is.

There is a group of humans known as The Slayer Society who know about and seek to kill vampires. Additionally, some normal humans have discovered the existence of vampires and lived to tell the tale. But before they could they were captured and became a servant to a selected vampire until the day they die.

This was the case for a man and two women who were targeted by the vampires for threatening their secrecy. The Slayers tried to help them but were overwhelmed. The five of them, two men (one a Slayer) and three women (one also a Slayer) were taken away by the vampires and assigned a Master or Mistress.

Then the ten of them were moved to a remote castle a few miles from a small village were the vampires would own the humans until their natural deaths, at which point the vampire is freed from his or her duties. The vampires would do what they wanted to with their slaves except kill them or love them.

SUMMARY
So, in conculsion, this is set in roughly mid-1800s where five humans (two of them Slayers) were captured by the Vampire Court for knowing about the existance of the vampires. Their punishment is to serve seperate vampires for the remainder of their human lives. They will be living together in the large manor house. The house is very large (as you can see by the picture) and rests on nearly 50 acres of land. There is a large pond, elegant gardens and even a stable (though its usually empty) and the entire area is surrounded by a dense forest. The humans are not permitted to leave the property under any circumstances. Those attempting to leave are to be killed (though the punishment is up to their master/mistress). The Slayers, loyal to their cause, will do anything to escape and save the other humans who are very confused and helpless in the face of their vampire bond. The vampires are permitted to do whatever they please to their servants EXCEPT love the mortals. But, who knows? Aren't rules meant to be broken?

David didn't feel at ease in the room where he was. Wherever he was anyways, this place was completely unknown to him. He was sure this was not somewhere close to his village, he would have noticed it other wise. So where was he and why was he here? Why wasn't he dead if the vampires caught him? It was all so confusing, and in the mean while his stomach was growling. He was hungry, he had to get something to eat or he'd pass out.

Making his way towards the door, he felt terrified. He slowly opened it and looked outside to see if there was anyone around. Deciding it was probably safe, he slowly made his way towards the kitchen. In the meanwhile, he observed the house. It was definitely big, he'd never seen such a big building. But David just couldn't figure out why he was here, why him. Or were there other people as well, or only vampires? The thought scared him.

As he wandered through the house, he heard a voice. It seemed panicked, then relieved. He slowly made his way towards the voices and looked around, then tried to listen to whatever they were saying. He wasn't sure if it was a vampire speaking, or a human, he couldn't really tell. But David was almost certain it was a vampire.

Julius sighed.

Rather than address his new defiant human he came close to Melita.
He took her hand gracefully in his own and with soft words spoke.

' For me there is no way to live without blood. I can visit the local villages and take what I want but instead I have been given two gifts. I was a man once, the fear of being bitten is not a feeling I remember kindly. However, I will be nothing but the perfect gentlemen... unless you decide to fight me on it '.

He stood back up and turned to face the large bookshelf. He of course was not allowed to drink from Azalea, she was ony temporarily his but of course she did not know how this vampire law worked.

He could smell the blood before the pencil had snapped. In some way he was glad this his chosen was easier to control but knew it was time to set some boundaries. Her bravery was only going to increase as long as he allowed her to act like this.

With one swift action he pulled Melita away from her, stopped her from cradling the wounded finger. He didn't pull her too hard but enough to create a small distance.
He then picked Azalea up and placed her in front of him. The contract he signed flew under the red sofa.
He turned her quickly and tilted her neck hard, the perfect opportunity to break the skin.

Rather than bite, Julius brought his head down to her ear and with a loud whisper began to talk.
' Upon entering this room you were told one thing. I have NO time for your defiance but since you would like to play that game ere is a little tip.
The tall man pushed the girl back onto the Sofa but kept her arm tightly in his grasp.
See how easy it is for me to take what I want. To take it from exactly where I want it.... And look, I haven't needed to be forceful'.

Julius let out a loud laugh before his whole facial expression changed into his usual scowl. For his last trick he picked the girl back up. Cradled her like a baby and placed her on the large oaken desk. This time with one hand press against her stomach to prevent her from moving and one pressed on her thigh.
' Need I remind you of my favourite feeding place. Again this is not force to me. Imagine if I was to force you. How much pain I would cause you .... because you decided to be brave.

He began to lower his head but before he made it to her thigh he stopped. He turned away and walked towards Melita.

'I am sorry if that may have alarmed you. I do not plan on repeating any of that on you. I am sorry to tell you I do care very little for human life but I like you Miss Melita, you have pleased me with every action you have committed in this room. I hope you will sign without haste and then we will gather everyone in the main room so we can make introductions.
He dug out the paper from under the sofa and handed her a new pencil from his picket.
' Number two' He indicated to Azalea ' I hope you consider re-signing my dear'/

Melita's breath caught in her throat as Julius took her hand, especially caught off guard by how gentle and graceful he seemed when doing so. Her eyes were fixed on the vampire, a slight shiver down her spine at his silken voice and his words. As appreciative as she was of what seemed to be an explanation and reassurance, she still held a fear of being bitten. But...maybe it would be ok? He wasn't being mean so far...

The young woman gasped, watching in shock and horror as the gentleman suddenly turned on Azalea. He was so strong, and she could clearly see how easy it was for him to overposer the brave female. He seemed intent on biting, and Melita shrunk back. Seeing Azalea manhandled so was enough to make her tremble. Julius was definately going to make sure the other girl understood, making a very convincing point.

Melita's panic grew exponentially, the laugh causing her to falter. No, he wasn't just making a point, he would actually hurt Azalea! He easily pinned her to the desk, causing Melita to stand up. She couldn't let him!

"S-Stop!" she tried, but it was too soft! She trembled, desperately trying to will som confidence and bravery into her voice, her heart. Melita moved forward a step, feeling the need to help the other girl. He was threatening her with pain.

It was then that he stopped, letting go of Azalea. Melita froze, seeing him facing her this time. Her legs gave out, the girl sinking to her knees before the male as he approached. He was terrifying. As terrifying as he was beautiful. A soft whimper escaped her throat, unable to even attempt to hide her fear. His assurance he wouldn't do the same to her was of little consolation. He could. If she angered him enough, he could, and she didn't doubt he would. She could only stare wordlessly as he indicated the agreement. Melita picked it up with shaking hands. But..he would force her regardless of the paper, so what harm would it do to sign or not?

Azalea

"For me there is no way to live without blood. I can visit the local villages and take what I want but instead I have been given two gifts." Azalea scowled as Julius turned to Melita and took her hand, speaking to her in such soft tones it was almost believeable that he was more than a monster. "I was a man once, the fear of being bitten is not a feeling I remember kindly. However, I will be nothing but the perfect gentlemen," he continued and Aza took a moment to ponder.

She'd always been a curious girl, and liked to think of herself as open minded too. Of course he had once been human, like she was, but had been turned into a vampire. For that she really couldn't blame him. It wasn't like he'd wanted to be a vampire; who on earth would want to be a vampire? But what she hated about Julius was that he'd given up his humanity for vampirism.

Or had he? He'd said he'd be a gentleman...

"...unless you decide to fight me on it."

Oh crap.

Her moment of triump was over and she could see it in the vampire's eyes as he turned to her. Aza droppped the contract to grab her knife and it fluttered under the couch. But before she could pull the knife from her bag, heck, before she could even move her hand he had grabbed her and suddenly she found herself locked in his arms. One of his hands was wrapped around her waist, holding her arms down while the other had grabbed hold on her hair and had pulled her head back, exposing her neck. Aza swallowed hard, tensing up, expecting a painful bite to the neck. Oddly enough the pain didn't come, but that didn't keep her from flitching when she felt his warm breath on her ear, nor the cold chills from running down her spine.

"Upon entering this room you were told one thing. I have NO time for your defiance, but since you would like to play that game here is a little tip."

Azalea felt herself pushed backwards and landed on the couch with a small cry of pain and tried to get up, but was quickly pinned down again. This time the vampire hand hold on her wrist and her eyes widened as she saw his glimmering white fangs hovering over the pulsing vein on her wrist.

"See how easy it is for me to take what I want. To take it from exactly where I want it." he chilled, looking Aza directly in her blue eyes which had grown wide. "And look, I haven't needed to be forceful."

'Holy Heaven, this isn't 'forceful' to him?' Aza thought as a chilling sensation of fear crept into her heart, held down by a creature she knew was too powerful to overcome. Not as she was at least. Julius laughed loudly and Aza flinched, looking up at him again, trying to seem brave though the fear was obvious in her crystal blue eyes. All she could do was squeak as he hoisted her up a final time and laid her out on the oaken desk.

Aza tried to sit up but a cold, firm hand pressed down against her stomach, making her gasp, and despite her struggles she couldn't sit up. Goosebumps raise on her flawless skin as she felt the fabric of her nightgown fall aside, exposing her upper thigh and a cold hand settle on the exposed flesh. Azalea felt her body begining to tremble; his touch was too much. She was too exposed. All the courage had left her the moment his skin had brushed hers, like it always had all of her life. She was so weak the mere unfamilar touch of another could stop her heart, leaving her shaking at the encounter. Azalea would be shaking for a long time after this one.

"Need I remind you of my favourite feeding place. Again this is not force to me. Imagine if I was to force you. How much pain I would cause you.... because you decided to be brave." He said and lowered his head to her thigh, causing her heart to pound frantically. Then, suddenly, he lifted his head and turned away, going to Melita, speaking, though Aza couldn't understand his words because of the blood rushing in her ears.

He was trying to make a point. If she stood against him, she was going to lose. Plain and simple. She wasn't as strong as he was, not even close, and he was making sure Azalea could see that. He was stronger, and smarter, and would not tolerate it if she stepped out of line. So she wouldn't. Azalea would be the perfect little servant as he called her. It wouldn't be hard; she'd been raised to be perfect after all. All in that time she would get stronger. Smarter. Learn his weaknesses. And then, eventually, when she was powerful enough to overcome him... Aza swallowed hard and slowly slid off the desk, on hand still on it for support, readjusting her dress.

"Number two," Julius said, pulling Azalea out of her thoughts of a carefully planned revenge. "I hope you consider re-signing my dear." he said, holding the contract and new pencil out to her. Aza looked at his face, her own carefully blank save for the look of mild fear and submission, a face she'd perfected over the years. Then she slowly took the paper and carefully re-wrote her name.

"Yes, Master."

Tacitus's eyes quickly turned as a voice came from behind her. She stared for just a moment. Who was she? What was she doing here? She pondered this for only a few seconds before coming to the realization that she must be one of the new human servants. She smiled a little and stood; still keeping an eye on her rather out-cold slayer. She then started to look a little unnerved.

Oh... Oh that was blood. She grinned unnervingly and shook it off. She wasn't a monster. She wouldn't attack at the smell of blood.. Or sight of it... Or if it was literally standing in front of her like it was helpless. She bit he lip and listened to the girls as she spoke.

Here she went again. This was going to turn into a fun game of trying to explain that she couldn't speak. This was a normal thing, so she really didn't mind. It was kind of fun to play charades like this.

"Is he okay..?" Tacitus shook her head at the question. No. The slayer was a little on the unconscious side. "I am Hikari.. Would you like some help?" With this, Tacitus clapped excitedly and gave a bow. She was never one for curtsying, after all. She smiled at the girl and directed a hand to the slayer with a nod. It would probably be considered rude to leave him on the floor like that. The next sentence shocked Tacitus a bit, however.

"that stake hurt.." Tacitus frowned and scratched her head awkwardly. Had she really hit this poor girl with that stake? She was lucky it wasn't the other end. Tacitus quickly pulled at the bandages on her arm and smiled at the girl. She tore a bit of them off, revealing only a few scars, and wrapped it around Hikari's head. There. Now they were both better for it. Tacitus would have a much easier time resisting drinking the poor girl's blood if she couldn't even see it!

"If you get the other side we can move him to a couch??" With this, Tacitus nodded enthusiastically and moved to Tristan's other side. This Hikari girl was surprisingly brave! That was impressive and quite nice, if Tacitus had to be honest. It would be nice to have someone other than Julius to listen to. She smiled at Hikari and was about to give a signal to pick Tristan up when Hikari reached out a hand to her. Tacitus took the hand as gently as possible and shook it. She was happy to make a friend. Well, she hadn't really made a friend... She more hit a girl with a stake and now was forcing her to lift a heavy vampire slayer onto a couch... But that was good enough, right?

She was about to try to lift Tristan again when the slayer sat up. She frowned and let out an airy sound. Well, that was pointless. She smiled and Hikari and shrugged a little, then looking back to Tristan. The slayer checked himself for bites, typical. Tacitus just crossed her arms and tapped her foot a little. Did he really think she was going to just jump on him the moment she could? That would be rude. She was, after all, technically his master and host.

When Tristan started to stand up, she jolted her attention to him more seriously. He shouldn't be standing like that so quickly! He was wobbly enough that Tacitus wasn't sure he wouldn't collapse again! She made an airy sound when he looked at her.

" Where are we going, Miss?" She tensed up at the question. Where were they going? She didn't exactly know. There was a whole castle and she normally just sat around or tried to get Julius to talk to her. There wasn't much to do. She scratched her head again and held up a hand.

Now was a good time to start the charades. She quickly pointed to herself and then smiled to both of the humans. Slowly, she began to try to think of how to explain her name through motion. That wasn't going to be very easy... She sighed and grabbed a pencil and small sheet of paper before scribbling on it. She held it up for them to see. It was written in poor handwriting, but still legible.

"Tacitus Heilwig. Welcome to the castle." Was all she had chosen to write out. The rest she could manage. She had done it enough. She placed the paper down after a long enough time and looked up for just a moment, thinking. She pointed to herself and then opened her mouth; directing to her teeth. She was a vampire, which Tristan should know. She then pointed to her neck and then pretended to cut it with her hand. Maybe this would get the message across.

She the crossed her arms again and smiled at them. This was always a fun part of her day. The long games of charades where she would try to respond in whatever strange way seemed fitting. She held out a hand to Tristan now, remembering that it was customary to shake. She grinned; showing her fangs. She had a new toy and a new friend. What an interesting day.

It was then Tacitus found herself freezing up and looking toward something else. Who was this...? Another human boy? Wow. She was really becoming a human magnet today! What an interesting turn of events. She left her hand out for Tristan but waved to the new boy to join them. Hopefully, he wouldn't run off. If he did, she would just have to chase him down and start the whole game of charades over again. Well... She had just played, so maybe some telepathy was in order. She glanced to the boy and sent him a mental message.

'Join us. Don't worry, I won't bite. I'm Tacitus Heilwig, one of the vampire residents of this castle. Looks like you get to be my servant too.'

David tried to listen to figure out what was going on, but rather got only a faint idea. He was unsure of what was happening, until he got a mental message. A chill ran down his spine with a slight shiver as he got up and slowly made his way towards the others, clearly nervous, a little afraid. But he didn't want to run, he had no idea what the female vampire would do if he would run, and he didn't want to take the risk of him dying if he ran. So he joined them as nervous and scared as he was, trying to keep himself under control.

''Servant?'' David questioned softly. ''I am your servant? I didn't know...'' he whispered. He scratched his head, a little uncomfortable with the idea of being a servant. Though he could be submissive, he would also fight if he thought the things he would be ordered were rather unreasonable. He looked at the female vampire, then the female human before glancing at the male human. Wondering what happened, he stayed quiet though, nodded and glanced down.

That was just how he liked it.

He could sense that Melita feared him. Fear was always better than hate. Something which he could sense from Aza.

' You needn't burn eye holes in the back of my head sweet girl but thank you for being compliment.

Julius held his hand out for Melita to take and after both girls had finished signing he directed them downstairs into a large hall. It was about time everyone got to know each other.

After putting both girls in the large empty room, Julius went about to find the others. Of course he bumped into Tacitus first. She had three humans with her, it seemed she was winning the game of collecting them.
He ignored the humans and turned straight to his vampire equal.

' My dear, I think its about time for a gathering in the hall. Would be a dear and escort these three into the hall. Mine are waiting patiently..... what's say we get to know each other before we dine'.

The last part was directed to the new toys, he chuckled a little.
Before leaving to find the remaining vampire, Ben, Julius placed his hand onto the small vampires shoulder.
' I hope they are not too much for you handle as we are still two masters short'

Julius knew exactly where Benjemin would be. His workshop.
The tall vampire made his way towards the east wing where Ben's machines lived.
Upon arriving he knocked three times and shouted in.
' Meeting in the hall Ben. You have five minutes'

Benjamin pushed his goggles back into his hair when he heard a knock at the door. He rose from the table to open the door when he heard Julius's voice from the other side, "Meeting in the Hall Ben. You have five minutes."

Ben pulled his goggles from his head, casually throwing them onto the table next to the half finished toy. He didn't need the goggles, but he liked wearing them. He brushed his wait coast down and took his coat down from the hook. He checked his gloves for holes once again. Satisfied there were none, Benjamin headed up to the hall in question.

On his arrival, he saw Hikari with Tacitus. He was relieved that Hikari had ended up with the mute vampire, she was probably the safest vampire for Hikari to find. A cursory glance over Hikari confirmed his suspicions. Her head was bleeding. Benjamin clamped his jaw tight. His fangs had never felt sharper. There was blood. He was so hungry. He needed to feed. No, no he didn't. Not right now. Hikari deserved an explanation before he even tried to feed from her.

'Pardon me for stating the obvious, but Hikari appears to be bleeding," Benjamin said to no one in particular, "Quite a bit actually." He continued, not trusting himself to look at Hikari. He tried to catch Julius's eye, spinning his fingers subtlety, indicating that he wanted Julius to make this meeting as quick as possible.

Hikari Akane

Hikari shrugged back, laughing at Tacitus. All's well that ends well I suppose.. Hikari watched Tristan's next actions carefully, realization hitting her. Tacitus was the Vampire! She felt her throat tighten a little, but she wasn't as scared as she knew she should have been. She did help me bandage my head..

Hikari tilted her head curiously as Tacitus got a piece of paper and began writing something down rather quickly. I wonder what she's doing.. The raven haired girl thought to herself. Once the other girl was done, Hikari gave her a short weary smile, " Nice to meet you Tacitus. " she replied in a polite tone, despite her distrust and hatred for vampires. As much as she hated the idea, as much as she wished she could just deny it, Hikari was in this particular vampire's debt. She helped her in her moment of need when Hikari actually attempted to help her instead. She shook it off when she noticed Tacitus was trying to tell them something. Oh god.. I'm terrible at this game..She is a vampire.. and she is hungry? Hikari never was proficient at charades.. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut.. I don't seem to be making very good impressions so far.

She listened to the new-coming human, Tristan, and Tacitus converse for a while, before she noticed that Ben had arrived. She moved from her squatting position, brushing her dress off and avoiding eye contact. Their last meeting didn't end on good terms after all. Then she touched her bandaged head. She looked to Benjamin, noticing his strain. Tacitus didn't respond like that.. She shivered a bit, turning her gaze away from him. She'd crossed the line before, and now she was troubling him yet again.. it wasn't her place to go off on him like that, when her family died, her freedom died with them.. I'm going to have to accept that I'm practically already dead..

She forced a small smile of recognition, looking up at Ben finally, " I don't know where the bandages are or I would have took care of it myself.. " She muttered under her breath, a little discouraged. She was tired of being a burden, even if she was only being a burden on a nest of vampires.

" I didn't plan on a stake to the head.. but I guess I'm sorry for troubling everyone. " Her tone was flat, half-hearted, but she still apologized. Insincerity was irrelevant in her mind, she'd complied with the foundation of the formality and was enough.

Melita signed the paper, vaguely thinking it rather a pointless act, considering she'd be forced to obey regardless. Oh well, she supposed the formality wouldn't hurt. She was no less surprised about being helped to her feet than she was about the gentle voice Julius used on her. How could such a mn who threatened another so easily and laugh while doing so have such a beautiful face, and speak so sweetly when he wished?

Melita promptly sat down after she was led to the hall, eyes scanning the room with uncertainty. How many other vampires were around? Julius mentioned protecting them from others. Did that mean others in the estate? Or others in the world in general? Did vampires prefer groups or solitary existences? The worried young woman Sat near Azalea, waiting a moment before whispering for the sake of privacy.

"M-miss Azalea? Are you ok?" Melita asked, hoping the other human wasn't harmed. She had been frightened at how Julius handled her, and even his assurances to Melita couldn't erase that. She looked sympathetically at the pink haired woman.

Melita paused, looking up and going a bit tense as others began to arrive. Were they friend or foe? Were any of them vampires? Melita glanced at each person in turn, wondering what would happen to her. She relaxed as no other conflicts arose thusfar.
Ben's voice brought her from her musings, Melita looking over at the one he referred to as Hikari and then letting out a gasp.
The blood made her feel a tad dizzy, but thankfully such things weren't nauseating or phobia-inducing. She stood, gingerly approaching Hikari.

"Miss! You should sit down, that looks like a pretty significant wound. Has someone looked at it for you before bandaging it? Did you get it cleaned out?" Melita asked, concern written in her features as she fussed over someone, always wanting to make people feel better and help out.

Roderick stretched his arms as he entered the large estate, suitcase over his shoulder. The red haired vampire knew all along that the vampire he was replacing would have met an unsightly demise and he'd get drug out into the middle of nowhere to babysit. I was having a grand time with that brunette too.. The male mused mentally, images of her in his hotel bed flooding back to him. It drew a small grin to his mischievous and otherwise annoyed features. Though it didn't last long, it was replaced with even more annoyance, reminding him of how his rendezvous was cut dramatically short to bring him here. He slung open the front door, his lemon-lime eyes scanning around, until he heard noise in a nearby room, flicking the door shut, Roderick followed the sound until his eyes fell upon several unfamiliar faces. He recognized at least three of them, "Ah. What a pleasure.." Roderick rolled his eyes. He didn't exactly meet all of the other three vampire's formally before, but he recognized their faces from times he'd passed them on the road. He did however know of them.

He was next to an empty couch in mere seconds, eyeing it carefully before throwing himself over it's arm lazily. It was rude and careless, but still it somehow passed off as a graceful gesture, considering how swiftly and effortlessly he'd carried out the action. Roderick although his disposition as if his body weight nothing, "So? Why's everyone gathered here?" He quirked an uninterested eyebrow, "I heard the last guy got mauled.. so here I am, the lucky replacement.." He flashed a toothy grin, "So which one is mine?" He eyed Melita first, then Hikari, finally he looked to Azalea. They're all pretty decent.. I heard I was getting a female..but which one?

The black haired one was injured, marking her off instantly, he wasn't into the clumsy type, Then there was the pink haired one who seemed to hold an attitude problem (Azalea) and the cherry blossom toned girl with the shyer appearance (Melita). His eyes widened before he collapsed on the sofa, images flashing in his third eye (precognition), first he saw himself screaming at the figure of what seemed to be a girl, then he saw blood on the floor, and finally the image a tall figure he couldn't quite make out. The whole time his vision took place, it appeared like he was experiencing an epileptic seizure, but it's just how Roderick's visions worked. He'd get a random trigger and the process would hit him like a bag filled with a dozen bricks. It wasn't a beautiful process, but it did come in handy to say the least. Well, if he managed to somehow decipher their meaning before they played out. Roderick laid there, holding his head afterwards, feeling his body regenerate itself. The visions didn't come free. It often exhausted his body, the price of seeing what has yet to come. He kept his eyes closed, counting in his head to keep his cool. He always felt an intense thirst after a vision, the bleeding girl in the room was teasing his tastebuds, his gums whining for him to take a bite, or twenty..

Azalea

"You needn't burn eye holes in the back of my head sweet girl, but thank you for being compliment." Julius mused and Azalea had to clench her fists to keep from spitting at him. 'Calm. Peaceful lotus blossom floating along the water.' she thought, trying to remember the lessons of holding her temper that had been drilled into her as a girl. 'Gentle winds, a summer breeze across the fields of flowers.'

Julius held his hand out for Melita to take, which she did, distinctly not offering one to Azalea, which she would have had trouble taking anyways so it was probably for the better. Then the chilled vampire man lead them downstairs though a long hallway and guiding them into a large empty room. Azalea delicatly took a seat beside Melite as Julius walked out again, leaving them alone.

Straining her ears to hear, Aza could pick up on the faint sound of Julius' voice. "...My dear, I think its about time for a gathering in the hall. Would you be a dear and escort these three into the hall?" he purred and Aza felt herself shutter. How many people were stuck here? How many more were to arrive? How many vampires were under this roof? She tried to suppress those thoughts and listen, but immediately regretted it when she heard what Julius said next. "Mine are waiting patiently... What's say we get to know each other before we dine?"

Aza stopped easedropping when she heard a timid voice speak up, "M-miss Azalea? Are you ok?" asked Melita softly, looking at her intently. Aza managed to work up a small smile. "Yeah, I'm fine." she murmured, then added on an encouraging note, "Don't be scared. We're going to get out of this somehow."

As other people, and vampires, began to file in Aza went quiet, examining them each to find out their strengths and weaknesses. It was beyond Aza why they had all gathered here, but it didn't matter. It was her responisbility as a Slayer to destroy all these vile creatures and free all the humans.

It hadn't been a particularly hard journey for Caitriona that day. She had received a letter telling her that she had to make her way to a well established estate.
The 200 year old couldn't say she was fond of the idea of heading all the way from the home she had made for herself to a new destination but when the Vampire Queen asks you to jump you immediately ask 'How High?'.

No matter, she was here now and that was all that mattered.
Cait decided to open the door herself. Surely the others would have been told of her presence.
Dragging a green satin case behind her the Scottish woman checked her appearance in a large mirror with a golden frame.

' Whey, First impressions are important wee lass' She began to tell herself ' Lets make sure we look the part'.

After a quick preening, Cait headed into the only room she could hear noise from. Upon entering she could instantly tell the Vampires from the Humans.
Her eyes first met with another red headed Vampire, he must of been new too because he definitely looked out of place.
Then Second, another female vampire with eyes that seemed to glow, Cait decided to gravitate towards the other female Vampire as she didn't much like the other options. The last two males, one extremely tall with mid length black hair and the other who seemed to be fretting over a bleeding human girl.

Ah yes... The humans. She now remembered her real purpose for being here. To serve as master to a male human until the day he died.
She couldn't say she was thrilled about this but she had no choice as Law was Law.
Cait knew instantly which human was hers, she could tell just by looking. He was dark of hair with blue eyes. Every distinguishing feature this boy had was the complete opposite of Caitriona.

Julius arrived alongside Ben, who began panicking over his properties bleeding head. Though Julius was glad of this, even for his age, the smell of blood was very tempting.
The two new Vampires had arrived, he didn't know either of them nor did he care to know them.

There was no use wasting anymore time, best to get on with introductions before splitting into their relevant pairs.

' So some of you with a longer lifespan already know why you are here but for the benefit of the humans lets explain. Earlier today we received a letter making each of you our own personal servant.... This is because somewhere in your small lives you committed a crime against the Vampire Community.'

The older Vampire stopped and took from his pocket the original letter, handing it to the two new Vampires to read and find their designated human. He then stood next to Melita, prompting everyone else to stand next to their new partner.

'For those of you who don't know, I am Julius and this is Melita. She is my human, though you are welcome to general conversation with her but you must never touch her yourself. One because it breaks vampire Law and Two because she is Mine and I do not like my things messed with'.

He mainly indicated this to the new male vampire. On hindsight he had heard things about this Vampire that he did not like.
Julius then cast a gaze to Aza, in his usual style he wouldn't care very much but he worried about passing her on to someone else.

Melita had by now scurried back to her seat beside Azalea, smiling softly at the girl beside her. As soon as Julius walked in, the young woman went still, simultaneously terrified and mesmerized by the vampire male. She swallowed hard, eyes watching him as he entered, eyes going wide as he spoke.

Half the people in the room were ampires? Looking around, she started to notice the stark contrasts in the undead versus the fellow humans she was with. Escape from this many vampires? As sure as miss Azeala sounded, Melita doubted it would be so simple, if even possible. She shivered, wondering if any of them were hungry. She hoped not, as being fed from was not a pleasant thought. Any concern over the vampire aspect was immediately forgotten at the realization of her situation.

Servant?! She would be a servant? But she hadn't done anything! Mouth slightly agape, Melita looked about to protest when Julius stood beside her. All that came out was a slight squeek in surprise.

The male's words echoed in her mind as he introduced himself and her as his human. She was his?! But who chose? And would he do to her what he did to Azeala? No, he had said he wouldn't. But obviously he wasn't to be trifled with. Despite shaking in fear and uncertainty, Melita looked up at the vampire claiming her, feeling her cheeks grow oddly warm in startled embarassment. His declaration of 'mine' made a slight shiver run down her spine. What would happen to her now? She wasn't a servant!

Glancing at the others, Melita once more thought that this Julius was by far the most handsome man she'd ever seen, and the other vampires didn't compare. Although looks were the least of her concerns. He was just as intimidating, and currently identified her as some form of property. Her red cheeks went back to their normal hue, only to progress into a fearful pale.

"B-but sir....I haven't done anything! I only recently saw one of your kind for the first time." the young woman reasoned, thinking this some huge mistake, probably a bad dream. She hoped it was.

Benjamin kept a close eye on Roderick as he entered the room. He didn't know the vampire personally, but he had heard stories about the man. Despite her bleeding, Benjamin took a step closer to Hikari, making it quite clear to the new vampire that Hikari was going exactly nowhere with him. It wasn't like Benjamin to get territorial, but there was something about Roderick that seemed a little off. He cast a cursory glance over the last vampire to enter the room. He'd never seen her before, never heard of anything of anyone who looked like her. That was an achievement to be congratulated for given the extent of Benjamin's travels.

Julius began to speak and Benjamin felt relieved. He had never been too fond of Julius's possessiveness but it meant that finally this meeting was going somewhere. Benjamin looked at Melita. What a timid little thing she was. And stuck with Julius too, he smiled to himself. Benajmin placed a hand on Hikari's shoulder. It was times like this he wished for Tacitus's powers so he could send Hikari a message. He still wasn't quite sure of her reaction to contact. It was meant to be comforting but whether Hikari took it like that was another matter entirely. "This is Hikari," the formality of the situation was making Benjamin uncomfortable. Seriousness was not his comfort zone, "and I, I am Benjamin and apparently also the owner of this little klutz if we all adopt Julius's way of thinking about this," there was a hint of a smile in his voice, "Despite her propensity for bleeding around a group of vampires, if I find any of you have harmed her in anyway, you can be sure you will be spending an awful lot of time in my workshop. So please, ladies, gentleman, do your best to control yourselves." He looked particularly to Roderick who, besides Ben, seemed to be the most in need of blood. He would have to find it elsewhere for he would not be getting a single drop of Hikari's blood no matter how desperate he was.

Gathering? It seemed as if everything was getting more confusing as the seconds passed by. After all, he was in a house full with vampires and he didn't like that, it worried him and scared him but he remained calm from the outside. David followed towards the hall where others were already. Both vampires and humans. Were they all servants, and if so he wondered why. He didn't think he'd done anything wrong and he really felt confused about it. A vampire joined through the doors, a woman with red hair. She looked kind of creepy and he noticed she looked at him. He looked away, trying not to catch her attention. He didn't really know he belonged to her though.

'So some of you with a longer lifespan already know why you are here but for the benefit of the humans lets explain. Earlier today we received a letter making each of you our own personal servant.... David looked around to find the red-haired vampire, the knew one alone. He hesitatingly made his way towards her to stop beside her. He looked down at the ground, feeling rather nervous. Though he was curious to get to know her and stuff, he still didn't like the idea of being a servant. He didn't mind entertaining people, but he simply didn't think he was a servant, anyone's servant. He thought he was free, but now that completely changed. He slowly looked up at the woman, wondering what she was thinking.

Roderick, once he'd composed himself, brushed an idle hand through his hair and sat up, peering through the letter Julius handed him, "Azalea..?" He raised an eyebrow, though he shrugged it off, hopping to his feet and waving to the like-haired female Vampire that eyed him, giving her a toothy grin. She held herself well. He liked her already. He handed her the letter, "Here, it'll help you figure out which of this lot is your pet." He handed her the letter before, blinking as the older vampire stood next to his human whose name was apparently, Melita. As he was advised to stand next to his pet, Roderick gave a frown before walking over to Azalea.

He eyed her for a minute before leaning in and whispering in a challenging tone, "Look. Let's make this easy. I feed very little at a time. I promise to be a gentleman and not put you in a lot of pain if you comply with me.." He cooed into her ear, but his voice contained a bit of malice as he continued, "Defy me, even once... and I'll make sure my bite feels like liquid fire underneath your skin.." He licked his lips at the thought, but he refrained from indulging in his threat, "So... don't try anything stupid, okay Lea?" he quirked an eyebrow, deciding to nickname her the last three letters of her first name.

Roderick stood properly once he'd instilled his motives to Azalea, waiting for a reaction really. He wasn't exactly sure why she was different, but for some reason she had a fire that the other girls lacked. He liked it. Letting his mind get to the matter of hand, Roderick smiled sweetly and proceeded in tilting his head innocently at Julius, "Of course. As long as it's kept likewise.." He sent his sharp retort as he watched Julius eye Azalea.

He knew both of the other male vampires seemed to be weary, eyeing Benjamin and Julius before sighing and messing up his already unkempt hair, "Look. If you stay away from mine.. I'll stay away from yours. Quit eyeballin` me like we've got some sort of rivalry going on.. we don't." He rolled his eyes, "I don't care. I wouldn't even be here if any of us had the option to say no." He was referring to the Vampire laws, "Lets get over it and try to have some nice, civil fun, yes?" He gave Benjamin a small smirk, "Klutzes aren't my flavor anyway.."

Hikari Akane

Hikari blinked as a girl approached her ushering for her to sit down, Hikari bit her bottom lip before laughing nervously, "I don't think we've got the luxury to do as we please, even if it is something we need." She replied back, giving her a happy, genuine smile, "Thank you for your concern..?" She hadn't quite caught Melita's name yet, so she was at a loss of words, "N-no.." Hikari rubbed the back of her neck, "I-It happened so fast.. Tacitus just helped me wrap it up to contain the smell somewhat.. I think..?" She was new to all of this vampire stuff, so all of her conclusions were merely theories.

She grew quiet however under Julius's presence. Something about him sent an instant chill down her spine. She listened to him talk, realizing that this in fact was happening.. though she kind of realized that when she got the stake to the head. Dreams didn't allow pain after all. Not really. As he drew closer, she just drew quieter.

"B-but sir....I haven't done anything! I only recently saw one of your kind for the first time." - Melita

The words made Hikari's eyes widened, grabbing Melita's hand since she was still close enough. She shook her head in warning, begging her to choose her words wisely. Something about the air Julius gave off gave her reason to believe Melita wouldn't be as lucky as she had been with Benjamin. She gave her a reassuring smile before letting go. She didn't want to get in trouble either..

Hikari blinked at Ben's closeness, glancing a bit away from him. It made her quite nervous actually, so she leaned in, but only for a moment, "Who is he..?" she asked, referring to Roderick, "Why is everyone so antsy about him..?" Though it felt like she'd taken a bite of a bad lemon when she felt Benjamin's hand rest upon her shoulder, a shiver of disgust and fear running up her spine. She didn't pull away however. She feared Julius and Roderick far more than she feared Ben.. She just took a calming breath, reminding herself to think of her father's words, 'Look for the silver lining. It's always there, even if you can't quite see it..' She repeated the mantra, over, and over until she felt her heartbeat steady itself.

"This is Hikari, and I, I am Benjamin and apparently also the owner of this little klutz if we all adopt Julius's way of thinking about this." - Ben

Hikari's eyes were wide as dinner plates, disbelieving as well. Everyone in the room was claiming them like puppies that were left in a box on the side of the street. Hikari closed her eyes, trying to hide her annoyance. I will find a way to be happy..even if I'm stuck here for the rest of my life.. It is still MINE.. She swore to herself in her head, None of these vampires are going to interrupt my happiness..

Hikari opened her mouth in protest, glaring up at Ben, this time her being the one childish. The pout on her face was very uncharacteristic for the serious girl. I didn't just hurt myself! I had a stake threw at me! She was nice and tried to help, but it doesn't change the fact that I was an innocent victim who was ASSAULTED by a VAMPIRE. Not a klutz!!!! She screamed in her head, subconsciously crossing her arms in front of everyone without realizing it.

Not his flavor? She rolled her eyes at Roderick's announcement, Is that supposed to insult me? I take it as a compliment.

David shuffled closer towards Caitriona once Julius had indicated people should pair off. She gave him a weak smile, she was still rather tired from the journey and would most likely need to feed from him.
She wondered how much fight, if any he would put up against her.

' The name is Caitriona, pleased to meet ya lad.' She whispered to him.

Though the introductions were short lived when the male vampires began claiming their humans as prizes.
' Now Gentlemen, we all love a good show of male Bravado but can ye be taking it somewhere else. Your scaring the poor girls half to death. Plus your kind of getting on me nerves'.

Image

Julius' eyes stuck firmly to Rodericks. He just did not like him. Deciding to ignore Melita's comment about not seeing a vampire till only recently, Julius pushed on.
' So we all agree to keep our hands to ourselves and don't worry Miss.... Sorry I didn't catch your name.... I promise to keep it to a minimum if it bothers you so much. Now, I am rather hungry so I suggest we all separate. Newcomers, your rooms are situated is the west wing right next door to each other'

Julius turned towards the door, beckoning Melita to follow. It was about time the humans became accustomed to their new home and all it's perks. The pair walked back to Julius quarters. However, this time he led them into his room.

Image

He sat on the edge of the bed
' It will be time for me to feed soon. If you would like to discuss it, now is the time'.
The old vampire bend down and pulled an old wooden box from under his bed, he opened it to reveal alcohol and a first aid kit. Of course the alcohol was to sterilize the wound.
' If you feel the need to drink on the first time then I will allow it. Unless you want to be brave?!' He smiled at her then began unpacking the bandaged from within the box. It had been a while since he had fed directly from his room so the box was full of things to help out in an emergency

Image

As Julius left, Cait began to chuckle.
'Well he is a breath of spring air!'

SHe then focused back on David.
' Shall we head up? I am sure you will have a few questions for me?'
In all honestly Cait had no idea where to go, her sense of direction had always been terrible, hence why she was late.
Turning to Roderick the other newcomer she smiled.
Hopefully she could just follow him.

Melita smiled warmly at Hikari. She felt happy, albeit confused as to the what she took to be a comforting gesture by the other female. Waving goodbye to the two girls she'd met, she looked almost wistfully at the red-haired woman, her scolding of her fellow vampires reassuring to her. Melita was reluctant to leave the other humans and the new female vampire, but she supposed she had no choice in the matter. Not wanting to anger the one she was assigned to, she followed him quietly, looking around anxiously.

Upon entering the room, Melita's eyes went wide, admiring the warm decor. It was a rather nice room if she were to be honest, and she had to admit, Julius seemed to have nice taste. Sadly, her thoughts of the room and how to organize it's contents even better were creully interrupted by reality.

The human's face went a bit pale as he mentioned feeding, and her eyes watched him nervously. So far he was being nothing but polite to her, but she didn't want to be his dinner. Seeing his box and it's contents, she 'eep'-ed softly. He may have been prepared and even sanitary, but the fact still remained he intended on biting her.

"I...Is there no other way to give blood to you? Is it going to hurt much? Will haing a drink first make it better? If so, I'll have a drink. Where are you going to bite me? I..I was telling the truth back there! I..I only just saw a vampire less than a day ago..I think it was a day..." Melita spouted out, looking a bit confused at the memory. What had happened? How long had she passed out? And what happened between now and then?

"I only knew it was a vampire because I noticed them biting someone in an alleyway..and..there was so much blood..." Melita shuddered at the memory, looking shaken and sad. She took a deep breath, trying to remember, and looking dismayed that she couldn't.

"I-I don't even remember anything after it turned to look at me....I remember blackness...nothing more...I dunno if I fainted or was knocked out. I just remember those eyes..and the blood, blood al on the ground, I could smell it, and I knew that person wasn't alive anymore..." Melita felt her voice grow softer. She was scared. She wasn't ready to die. How much would he take? She dared to glance up at Julius.

ImageRoderick grimaced slightly as Caitriona reprimanded their actions, but silenced himself anyhow. All it took was for a woman to scold him? Was he a child or something? From his behavior he held several traits of a rowdy little boy. He was starting to realize Julius's animosity towards him, but it only drew a smug grin to the redhead's lips. Roderick was intrigued that an older Vampire saw him as a threat. Why would that be perhaps..? He thought to himself cheerfully. This just keeps getting better and better. I've already made a 'friend'. His eyes gave Julius a challenging look, but aside from the glances, he'd followed Cait's request.

Time to feed? At the word hungry, Roderick licked his lips. For a second he'd forgotten his thirst, but the reminder sent a burning sensation through his throat. He did get interrupted before he got to feed... He'd soon make up for that mishap however.

"Indefinitely." Roderick chimed to Caitriona, smiling in a welcoming manner. Roderick blinked in surprise as he became liable for not one, but three others. He looked to Azalea, then to Cait and David with a chuckle, "To be honest I'm as lost as you are, but let's try our hand and if we get lost, at least we get lost together." His grin was angelically charismatic, despite his nature.

He took Azalea by the hand without any further explanation and motioned for David and Cait to follow. He dared her to defy him, to give him any reason to unleash himself. The person he wished wasn't taboo and controversial. He loved the morbidness of being a Vampire, the blood, the gore, the strength. Everything about it. Blood was symbolism for power, life. Draining the energy out of someone was thrilling in the most euphoric way. Ever since he lost Katarina Roderick indulged in all the selfish perks of being a vampire. He eyed the staircase, pointing towards it, "Up there." He didn't let them in on his little secret of "sight". Small things like direction came easy to him. He just had to be near a trigger. If he touched someone's skin directly, he could see parts of their future. Usually the tragic bits. He worked as a gypsy for quite a while, it got him laid quite a few time. A crystal ball and a few visions was all it took to hook a human, whether they were true or not.

He looked to the doors on the wing Julius advised, but he didn't exactly give them detailed information to go on. There were several doors. Roderick stared at each door for a second before making a beeline to the proper doors, pointing to the one left of the one he stood at, "This one is yours." He smirked to Cait, "If you care to challenge my gift, you'll be discouraged, because you'll find that all of your belongings are already inside.." Then his gums began throbbing in anticipation, "Now then.." He shifted his eyes to Azalea, "Shall we begin the feeding ceremony, little dove..?" He opened the door, releasing his firm grip on her hand before motioning for her to enter his room, "Ladies first." It wasn't so much that Roderick was being gentlemanly, he honestly just didn't trust her. Having her, or anyone behind him for that matter was simply something he just wasn't comfortable with. His eyes returned to Cait one final time, "If you ever need anything. I'm a door or wall knock away.." he flirtatiously winked at her. He was growing antsy, he wanted to just get on with feeding, to rip into Azalea and drain her dry.. I can't be reckless, I'm not allowed to kill her. Vampire law has to ruin all of my fun..

Azalea

Azalea felt her body shiver just slightly as she realized what was going on, what she and all the other humans here had in common. They all had one way or another discovered the existance of vampires, something no human was to know. So this elusive Vampire Counsil that she had heard so much about had had all of them kidnapped and forced in to servitude under these vampires. Why, though? Why not simply kill them? Azalea couldn't fathom. But reguardless of the reason, it seemed she was left at an advantage. The letter had only listed one slayer in this household, a man named Tristan Blair, and distictly labled her as a human. That meant that whomever was her Master would be bitting off more than they could chew.

...no pun intended.

As she shivered a man walked over, presumably her Master, the vampire Roderick. His walk remined her of the suitors she'd had vying for her hand who thought they were all better than the others. Arrogant pricks with such shallow and self centered ideas it made it hard for her breath. So confident and charismatic they could charm a cow into milking itself, something she'd never cared for. She could tell by the way he walked over towards her they would not get along without some serious effort on her part. Effort, however, she would have to put forth if she had any chance of escaping.

Aza remained stationary, neither moving not acknowledging his present as he stood beside her. She didn't so much as flitch when he leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Look. Let's make this easy. I feed very little at a time. I promise to be a gentleman and not put you in a lot of pain if you comply with me.." Roderick purred like a panther, his fangs and claws only barely contained by the silky black fur, "Defy me, even once... and I'll make sure my bite feels like liquid fire underneath your skin..." Aza's eyes narrowed as he licked his lips, obviously fond of the idea of her suffering. "So... don't try anything stupid, okay Lea?" he quirked an eyebrow, his voice mockingly playful.

'Abomination,' Aza thought bitterly, 'you truly must have no idea who I am to think I would break so easily in your hands.' Of course, she didn't say this. She needed to play submissive. Instead she turned to look at him, taking in his apperance, carefully hiding the hatred for him in her crystal blue eyes, a small small playing on her delicate lips. "As you wish, Master Roderick." she replies in a falsely respectful tone, almost like she was humoring him. "However, I'd truly appriciate it if you would refer to me as Azalea, or Aza if you feel so inclined to nickname me."

Then without waiting for his reply she looked away again, staring in front of her as if he didn't deserve so much as a sideways glance from her. However her easy, blank glaze hardened as vampire began to leave with their subjugates. They were going to feed, and she knew it. Her heart was screaming at her to take the knife from her pounch and fight to her last breath in a desperate attempt to save the humans, before the vampires drained them dry. But in the back of her mind she knew that she couldn't. It was night. Even if she could distract the vampires long enough for the humans to run they would be caught before dawn could bring the sunrise again. No, as much as she was compelled to act, she had to wait for the upper hand or none of them would survive the encounter.

'The letter said that these vampires were to care for their humans until the day of their natural deaths, ordered directly from the Counsil.' she thought, her delicate hands clentching into fists as she watched them each being lead away, trying to restrainn herself, 'They wouldn't dare defy a direct order; they wouldn't dare kill those people.' These thoughts kept her in place, but only barely, and it couldn't make her feel any better about simply standing there. She didn't remain standing there for longer however as Roderick took her hand delicately. Aza could feel the chill of his skin and had to resist the urge to yank her hand out of his.

"To be honest I'm as lost as you are, but let's try our hand and if we get lost, at least we get lost together." he said with a small chuckle, directing the statement to the other female vampire and her male subjugate who were tagging along, before tunring and beginning to walk. After a short time Aza gently slid her hand out of his and let it rest against the folds of her dress, not direct defiance per say but still... Her moment of stubborness didn't last long though as the four of them came to the vampire's wing.

"This one is yours." Roderick smirked at the female vampire Cait, "If you care to challenge my gift, you'll be discouraged, because you'll find that all of your belongings are already inside." Then he turned in bloodlusting green eyes upon Azalea, "Now then... Shall we begin the feeding ceremony, little dove..?" He opened the door for her in an act of false respect, releasing his firm grip on her hand before motioning for her to enter his room, "Ladies first." he purred before winking at Cait, "If you ever need anything. I'm a door or wall knock away."

Aza kept her brave face on, brushing past the flirtatious monster at the door and walking to the window, surraying the fall. Three stories; not a good idea. But there was no other way out, besides fighting with her 'Master' which would not end well for her. Her heart was pounding, the blood rushing in her ears and her mind desperately tried to think of any other way out. Anything to avoid... The Feeding Ceremony.

Azalea had never actually been bitten before but she'd watched it happen, and she'd studied it. It was painful for the first few moments, at least until the vemon kicked in and numbed the area, making it an almost pleasant sensation before knocking the person out. This was designed to make humans crave the sensation of being feed on, to make it easier for the vampires to get a meal, and it was a very clever effect. But for her it was going to be painful no matter how much vemon she had in her system; with her low pain tolerance and delicate body, it was going to hurt worse than she could fathom. Why else would she have gone to such lengths as drinking garlic water to avoid it? But she didn't have anything to repel the vampires, and now here one was to drink from her very neck. And she couldn't stop it.

Aza clentches her fists, her eyes staring blankly out the window. No, she couldn't stop it, but she could fight it. She knew very well that her chances of winning a fight against Roderick at this point were extremely small but then again soo were her chances of escaping the Feeding Ceremony. So what the heck, why not go for it? Her hand crept to the bag as her hip, not opening it yet, but resting on it, feeling the bulge of the knife burried within the folds of fabric and herbs. 'I swore an oath to the Slayer society,' she thinks to herself, 'I would never let a vampire have a drop of my blood, even if I have to fight until my dying breath. If he wants a taste of me, he'll have to kill me first.'

The old Vampire had to admit her nervous behaviour was cute, though it was to be expected.
Deciding to be truthful with Melita, Julius handed her some alchohol.

' At first it will hurt. There is not much that I can do about that. However, if it will offer you some comfert my venom will numb the pain after a minute, untill the feeling becomes enjoyable.... and it will Miss Melita.'

He doubted that any kind words would help her. She seemed flustered which was a natural reaction. If it was true that she had only seen a vampire for the first time and been taken then she was unlucky. The vampire Law enforcement could sometimes be very cruel to humans as Julius knew all to well. Though he did not see why that was any concern to him now.

'Now. Please try not to panic, where would you like me to drink from. We can start with the wrist if the other options scare you?'

Bearing his fangs Julius patted the bed next to him. He hoped it would ease her as he did not much enjoy the taste of terrified blood. She still looked just as terrified but he had said all he cold to comfort her.

' After we are finished I will make sure you have food and some rest.'

He was a cheeky fellow. Something which Cait took an instant liking too.

' Roddie Lad, I appreicate the gesture. Trying to pretend you really believe in ladies first, When I bet it's always been Roddie first, Eh?... Come on Davie Lad, I believe we must get better aquanted' She chuckled.

Caitriona placed her case onto a large four poster bed and opened it. From within she pulled a large stone statue of a dog. It weighed more than any average vampire could carry on their own but Cait's heightened strength made it seem easy. She placed it on the floor beneath the window.

'Good old Nessie, She was a fine doggie. Had her petrified at least a century ago now. Ah carry her everywhere.'

As the ginger woman headed back to her case and began unpacking things, she eyed up David once more. He was rather Skinny, so draining him they way liked might of been hard.

' I will expalin they way I feed to you now. I prefer not to bite you directly. I find it animistic when you don't know the person you bite. Once we are aquanted it might change. Until then I will pierce you with a small blade and fill a wine glass .... Half full of your blood. I will need to this once every few days'

Melita's eyes never left Julius' face, a mix of worry, surprise, and puzzlement in her features. As the vampire patted the bed, she timidly sat beside him, keeping a modest five inches of personal space between them. Heart drumming in her chest, Melita was surprised at how...nice the intimidating vampire was being. Was it a trick? Or was he just not too bad of a person, er, vampire?

"W-wrist please." she decided, holding out her right wrist, alchohol in her left hand.
She wasn't looking forward to the pain, especially if it was going to be at all like a poke from an errant sewing needle or a slip of a kitchen knife. She was well aware she was a weakling, a scaredy cat to boot.

Melita bit her lower lip, trying to be brave. He hadn't hurt her yet, he was being honest and polite. Nothing in his demeanor suggested he was intending on hurting her. He couldn't help it if he needed to eat..well, drink. Didn't make it any less nerve-wracking. Her trembling was gone however, only her nerves high and her heart hammering.

"Um...I'm ready." Melita nodded, wrist offered as she looked from her lap to the vampire once more.

David was getting rather nervous but still, he followed the woman to wherever she was going until she put her stuff on a large bed. He didn't like the idea of being food at all, it scared him, terrified him. He swallowed and watched the woman with narrowed eyes. He wasn't sure what to do, submit or fight. He wasn't really a fighter though he was good at hand-to-hand combat. He rather entertained people and made sure they were okay. Maybe he had to see it that way, to make sure she was okay he would give blood so she'd survive. It was a horrifying thought though, and he shivered slightly.

He looked around for a chair and sat down. ''I don't even know why I'm here. As far as I know, I've done nothing wrong to cause any of you trouble,'' he said. David sighed softly, he just wanted to go home but there was probably no way. He looked at the dog and frowned slightly, he didn't like dead animals. Once dead, leave them alone. She apparently didn't think so. He looked away and rubbed his arm nervously.

Re: The Vampire's Servant

Is there anyone still active on this site from this thread? I would be very interested in starting something new?

Re: The Vampire's Servant

No objections here, but I fear this thread is dead

Re: The Vampire's Servant

can I join? if so, is it ok to be a human?

Re: The Vampire's Servant

I'm game for that! maybe I should make another charrie as well?

Re: The Vampire's Servant

Hi everyone.

Got the message from ikuto.
They wont be coming back to the RP as they have a lot on.

Not sure how you would like to go about removing the character as the only Vampires left are my two.
Not sure if a re-start would be a wise idea ?
Same characters just with a few new people to even the playing field

Re: The Vampire's Servant

Hi !!! I messaged Ikuto just waiting on a reply! But don't fear I am still here :P
If I get no reply by tonight I will go ahead and post !

Re: The Vampire's Servant

I kind of want to wait for Roddie to post before I do x

Re: The Vampire's Servant

I'M BACK BABY! WOO-HOO! :D Post coming soon~

Re: The Vampire's Servant

wheee! haha, so skittish Melita is! And I really like that female vampire you made as well.

Re: The Vampire's Servant

I am going to go ahead and post now :D x

Re: The Vampire's Servant

You guys are the absolute greatest! I've got one more week (on the 3rd) until I'm freed, but I'll be checking up on you all until I'm able to put in a legitimate post. Thank you so very much for sticking through it in spite of me :) I'm genuinely touched

Re: The Vampire's Servant

I'm in! No worries, we can keep it going until she comes back ^-^

Re: The Vampire's Servant

I've never done it before, but if everyone wants it to last, we do need some kind of order. Three weeks is a long time. It will only survive if we all want it to.

Re: The Vampire's Servant

Okay sounds good Ikuto :D

Why don't we just just ahead as Co-GM's till Ultra gets back? That way we can keep her creation safe?

And sorry for not posting, I just wanted to know what the plan was before we went ahead! I am off to post now!!

Re: The Vampire's Servant

Let's all try to get through this. We'll interact until Ultra gets back. Nothing that will effect the plot she's created, just good old getting to know eachother, basic feeding. I'll keep Roderick in M.I.A until she gets back as well, so I'll only be playing Hikari until her return.

Let's try to stick together and keep this alive to support our Gm!
