Grimlock open the door of the Drunken Beard Tavern and walk in "my, my what a day" he said and walk to the bar and sit on the chair "one pint please" he said as he put his backpack down and look around in the tavern as some people watch him "what? Never seen a dwarf before? Well to bad boys cause I got no stories of great adventures, yet" he said and turn back to the bar to drink his beer

The dwarf entering gave him an idea. With a little though, and a lot of focus, the orb in front of him began to float. The swirling colors lost any prior patterns as they spun around rapidly. Small streaks of lightning shot from Veris's hands to the orb, each causing a small spot of bright blue to appear where it hit. Veris, not bothering to hide it, yielded eyes of a pure light blue light, one that nearly screamed magic.

A land of mountains. Little more than a beach to land on. With plenty of ore to help entice settlers to his creation. But what to put in it? Golems, dog like stone golems with streaking lines of blue magic. Trees on the bottom of the mountain and strong, sturdy shrubs at the top. Align the mountains so that when the wind blows it plays a nice tune. And add in so many forest creatures. And a clan of wise dragons who feed on a void well. Yes, one land complete. The realm, however, did not feel complete to Veris.

The orb fell back into the hands of Veris. When this all started, Grimlock was likely the only one who was sober enough to notice. Dwarves tended to be very resistant to alcohol, much the opposite of humans.

The whole coast of Dragon's Mouth was now controlled by the demons. They were quickly setting up camps and looking for mines and forges to use their crafting and magic skills together to make weapons more powerful than the greatest dwarf could make. They found themselves, however, limited to magic resistant metals, a major problem. They needed something like silver, or gold, or copper, but all they had was iron and steel.

Grimlock just finished his beer and put a cigar in his mouth when he noticed an orb floating "what in the great mountain!?" he said and hop of his chair and went to the source "ohi what are you doing lad?" he asked Veris and watch him and the orb while lighting his cigar "I hope you don't blow a hole in the wall cause I do like to have a normal day today" he said and puff away from him

"Then you have chosen the wrong day, dwarf. I fear that something worse than even orcs may be coming to this realm, seeking this little orb. Amazing how an entire realm can fit inside one's hand, isn't it? Demons could never except the fact that they destroyed their own realm. The sorrows I feel for them as a whole. No, you might be willing to help save more than one world would you?" Veris said, wondering at the sight of the dwarf. Most of what was seen around these parts was elves and humans.

"well i be, a voidrunner, what did you change this time? and Demons? well if that is true i hope they can build a big enough army to take the cities of the dwarves cause we are build in like a fort nothing goes in or out without notice, even a single critter like a bird or bug goes in with notice" he said and sit by him "but tell me, why are demons getting back?"

"It is sort of a tradition among us runners to add a continent to every realm we save. We can make more drastic changes, but that messes too much with natural development. However, it takes time to put a realm back into place, which is something that being chased by demons tends to run short. All they ever want is to bring back their own realm, or to rebuild it. If they got their hands on this, they likely could. Add to that a will to destroy, the ability to travel realms, and the fact that their realm was ore rich, and we have a problem if they regain their realm.

Don't be so sure of your people's defenses. If the demons are good at one thing, it is destroying all they can see. One must stop them, but to do that, you have to get them to spread thin enough to be killable. This can take much time and many losses, but they are all necessary. Life tends to be like that, eh?" Veris responded to the dwarf. Have of the time he was taking to the orb instead of Grimlock.

Veris's hand never went to meet the dwarf's. Instead, both hands remained on the realm sphere.

"Veris Drey, Realm Holder." Veris replied. After a short pause, he said, "On a normal day, I would let you touch the realm sphere, to feel the rush of holding it. The power that it grants to those outside it. A direct connection to the void, something that is near impossible unless one is in the void or near a void vent. Sadly, such times are no longer among us. It has been around twenty years since I last visited this realm, but I believe we should travel to the elves. We might be able to find druids, as they would know enough of the nature to devise a potion to hide the sphere."

"We must follow the sphere. I feel it, but it is distant." Spoke the large demon mage.

"Do not worry, for we have enough to take half the continent before needing a night's sleep." Said the demon general.

"What worries me is not the denizens of the realm, but of the wielder of the sphere. Its holder will have direct access to the void, something that a voidrunner can use to absolute efficiency."

"He will not live that long."

"If he were to come to me alive, we could have him create more spheres."

"I'll see what I can do."

Grimlock strok through his beard while slowly nodding "sad indeed" he said and lower his hand and put out his sigar "the elves are great at their potions bet very experimental and that what you want is something the might have just started with or are half way of the rechears, i can make a special vault that is only accesable by you if you want to" he said and got of his chair to get his backpack and his second beer but ther was something ery with the beer

"No, a vault wouldn't work. Nothing can withstand the might of the except time and the void itself. One cannot enter the void with a realm sphere. Doing such is like putting dynamite in a fire. No, it cannot stay still. Elves might be able to mask it, but that would be good enough." Spoke Veris.

"We have to have them chase us, but slowing them down at every corner. Every city they take will take demons from the main group, soon enough in small groups that can be overcome with numbers. No amount of skill can defeat or defend against their mix of numbers, skill, and tactics. However, if you remove the numbers portion, you upset the balance of the rest of their equation."

"mmmmm balance" grimlock thought and stroke through his beard and put the beer on the table "aren't demons chaotic in nature? Maybe we can use that against them? Like a distraction for them that we can use in our advance instead of using towns?" he said and sniff his beer "I think we should leave friend it isn't safe here anymore" he whispered

"The demon masters have a level of mind control on the lower demons that prevents little more than wars among the masters, however, I am led to believe that the masters move with only who they control. It has been what I have seen since they destroyed their realm." Veris spoke.

Whispering, Veris said "Leave soon. Go to the small elven town about a mile down the roadways. Move like you are drunk. I will take a path that is longer, as to avoid people following us. I will meet you within the great tree." With that Veris sat back and waited for his new friend to leave, waiting exactly 15 minutes after to take his path.

Grimlock throw the beer unnoticeable away and stood up "well enough for today" he said and walk to the door looking drunk and having all his stuff, after leaving the inn Grimlock headed towards the elven town Veris told him 'I hope you know what your doing Veris, humans are easily manipulatable' he thought to himself

Grimlock would have little more than a few passing elven patrols asking, curiously, what a drunk dwarf was doing about elven lands. Before that, he would walk along a section of the trail that would give him a view of the whole Dragon's Mouth. Everything that sat by the water was on fire, with one portal at the northern shore in the Eastern Human Empire.

When Grimlock would get to the town, he would be approached by an old alchemist who would say, "Come with me dear. I have something that will help with tomorrow's hangover." She would then gently, but commandingly, grab his hand. She would lead Grimlock to her shop, built into the area under the roots of an ancient tree, where she would take him to her basement.

The basement was filled with glass jars of countless ingredients and potions, but down the hallway was a door from which a gentle light showed at the bottom. "He is in there." The alchemist would say.

Grimlock bow to the alchemist, it looked more like ducking but it was a bow for a dwarf. "thank you" he said and walk in the room, once he was in the room he closed the door behind him and put his backpack down "so now we are here, what is the plan?" he asked and sit down on a chair "while I was underway i saw dragon's mouth it was on fire even the water was and a portal of the demons was clearly visible, I'm worried our time is short here and don't worry about attention, I only got it in concern" he told Veris and watch him

The room was little more than a small vine and branch table with only a single candle on it. The chairs were in the same style as the table, and creaked under Grimlock's weight. Veris sat on the opposite side of the table.

"Good, they are spreading. Their numbers are limited, so the more we can stall them, and force them to spread, the better. I believe that it would be a good idea to run them through the orcs' land. Nothing is more dangerous than when the orcs are defending their land from outsiders.

From there, we should take them through the Western Human Empire. That will give them a chance to invade and take over, thus thinning the herd. Next would be to traverse the bad lands. Once we get the demons in there, the orcs will be too distracted fighting the 'worthy' opponents.

At last, we should bring them to the Eastern Human Empire, but only the tip, then lead them into the dwarven mountains. Their urge to conquer will make them assault the dwarven kingdom without enough numbers. We will then secretly move back to the Eastern Human Empire. We will start to assemble the revenge party, with which we will take out the demons in their low numbers. Sound good?" Veris said.

"no it doesn't! We should make small groups on the way, trying to thin them out instead of sacrificing so much land and let the demons take over. Maybe we can stop them even halfway in the land IF we can get a council together of all races, then and only then we are stronger then ever but now we are divided making us weaker and more against each other something that isn't good now maybe we can even achieve greater things with the council" Grimlock said for an alternative

"You don't understand their speed or their numbers. The demons would not have brought a small enough force for us to do that. I have faced off with demons on many occasions. If you really want to be that way about it, try sending warning parties to the various cities so that they can pre-evacuate and increase in human density. However, just sending small groups is going to get even more lives lost, and the peoples of this realm are not ones to unite until they have felt the force of the threat themselves. That is why we want to lead the demons around the edges of all the nations." Veris said in reply.

Grimlock thought about what Veris said deeply, it was troubling him that they would sacrifice so much. If more would die if there were evacuations, what choose did he have "okay but how quick do you think we have the land back? in days, weeks, months?" he asked him worried cause the longer the demons would control the land the worse it could get

"That depends on how fast we move. We want to get going fast, trying to thin the demons out before they start to reproduce. The last thing this realm needs is a full on demon hive. That could mean thousands of combat ready demons every day after little over a month if they have time to sit down. They won't build hives if we keep them moving and on guard." Veris replied.

Thousands a day was an understatement for a demon hive. Those massive underground breeding zones were known for the speed with which they produce the vile beasts. To take them out, one would have to cause them to cave in, for anything less would do little more than kill the attackers.
