Veris was obviously focused on guiding his sliker to its next destination, as he didn't slow for anything. Even when the demons attempted to block him off, he had the sliker smash through their wall like it was nothing, only proving why the wealthy with many enemies would want such a beast as their mount.
Within five minutes, Veris and Grimlock were nearly two miles from the battle with orcs hoarding to the road so they may fight this worthy enemy.
After another hour of riding, the two arrived at a small town in the bottom of the elven empire. Veris hid the slikers quickly while the residents seemed to pick up on the need and wiped the tracks up the path a small ways.
Once in a large tree, Veris dismounted the sliker and tied it to the holding post. He then began to walk up a spiral staircase in the corner of the room.
As for what we will do, we will stay two nights. The reason is we want the demons to be right on our trail. They will be causous until they find a fresh trail, something that is less than half a day old. By blowing out the bridge, you gave us more time to get materials to travel with." Veris said in reply.
Reaching the top, the two of them would find a bustling elven paradise. It would make most dwarves sick, as you could see down below, through the overlapping trees with bridges and homes and businesses carved out of them. Some sold pelts and meats, something elves didn't eat much of. Some plants, some herbs. The most noteworthy was the Xan, a inn and tavern that took up its own tree. Elves and some humans passed in and out of it at a fairly constant rate. It had many ornate carvings all around it, and what looked to be scent vines growing about it.
