Blanche Gris (Lady Grey)

"Death comes to my tea parties."

0 · 474 views · located in Kirkcroft

a character in “The War of Heroes and Villians”, as played by biancacorgrott

Description

Name - Lady Grey

Secret Identity - Blanche Gris

Age - 13

Powers -
1. Psionic blast: Ability to overload another's mind causing pain, memory loss, lack of consciousness, vegetative state or death after having created a psionic link into that individual's mind. NOTE: Can only be used if she has eye-contact and physical touch of the victim.
2. Empathy: Ability to read or sense the emotions and/or control the emotions or feelings of others.

Appearance- Short black hair, relatively short, wears dresses (very inconvenient to say the least). Always has some source of tea on hand. Brown eyes, quite average looking.

Side - Hero (that's what she would label herself as)

Personality

Dreamy and serious, never quite in the moment. Can come across as naive. She is afraid of her abilities because she causes pain but feels the pain at the same time (refer to Powers). Blanche drinks tea to calm her fears.

Equipment

None

History

Grew up with two therapists as parents, and helped them with her Empathy power. Her parents, former heroes, shielded her from the world and they traveled anonymously helping people across the world. Soon, as always, the angry citizens caught up with them and her parents were arrested and never heard of again. Blanche blocked the memory from her mind, and can only be puzzled by the random surges of love (from her parents) that she feels. Blanche became a drifter, then soon met with others who were, indeed, just like her.

Blanche's tea cups, a family heirloom, are very valuable.

So begins...

Ninja
Jackson's words made Kina realize that he had the beliefs of a rouge. Kina could see a part of herself in him, as she was once a rouge herself. She used to fight only for herself, and she never cared about those who needed help more than her. She wanted to refuse Jackson's fight, as she thought it was foolish, but seeing that Jackson was practically about to pummel the other super, Kina had no choice. She didn't care whether or not the man was good or bad, she just didn't want to see anymore people dead.

Kina shouted, "Jackson, I accept your challenge! I just want you to know that becoming strong without a purpose is downright foolish. You're only working towards power, and too much power destroys the natural balances in life." She started to walk towards him. "If i win, I want you to stop fighting with that man, and help me with something that my friends and I are working on. I think you're strong, Jackson. You could have so much more potential if you just put your strength to good use." She stood in the center of the battlefield. "So try me Jackson, but just remember...." She swirled a huge whirlwind around her body. Leaves and grass flew everywhere, and there was an imprint on the ground. "...They don't call me 'twister' for nothing."

Prime
Prime was still enjoying the fight, and was glad to see that the woman who was dressed in black would make a fool out of herself. Just then, she smelled tea coming from below. A young girl in a dress was fascinated by the fight. Prime, being her usual social butterfly self, floated down next to her and said, "Who are you rooting for, my dear?"

Jackson really had to hand it to boxer kid, he was strong. His manipulation of force was downright scary. He'd thrown all kinds of stuff at Jackson, and the park looked as if WW3 had taken place there that afternoon. But Jackson was trained to be a warrior. As soon as Jackson closed the distance, boxer kid lost the fight. In fact, Jackson was about this close to pummelling the boxer kid's face in at the moment. His red claws were held high, ready to strike; his other hand around his neck, making sure there would be no escape. Boxer kid was out cold which meant that pesky little shield of his was down. Just as Jackson was about to give in to that nasty urge to kill him dead, he heard a voice. "Jackson, I accept your challenge! I just want you to know that becoming strong without a purpose is downright foolish. You're only working towards power, and too much power destroys the natural balances in life. If i win, I want you to stop fighting with that man, and help me with something that my friends and I are working on. I think you're strong, Jackson. You could have so much more potential if you just put your strength to good use. So try me Jackson, but just remember..." At that point, a huge whirlwind swirled into creation around her. The vortex was so powerful, that it's power ripped up the ground she was standing on. "They don't call me 'twister' for nothing."

Standing up, Jackson was nearly blown over. (ooc: again with the puns, but I just can't resist XP) He was not expecting Kina to be a direct battle type. "COOL!!" he shouted, overcome with joy. "To think, we only met this morning and it's already time to fight?!" he shouted over the wind. "Some kind of destiny don't you think?" Regardless, for all his excitement, Jackson wasn't exactly peaches and cream. Even though he'd just touched him, and had all of boxer kid's powers (to his own understanding of what they were) for another 20 minutes, the fight with boxer kid had taken a bit more out of him than he'd imagined. While he was in a good position to fight, as far as tactics were concerned, he wasn't in a good place mentally.

However, regardless of all those bad conditions that Jackson recognized, he just had to fight her. He was in a warrior's high and his eyes were literally glowing red with blood lust. "Just remember Kina," he roared, "even though we're neighbors I'm not going easy on you!" With that final provocation, he charged. His fighting stance was non-existant. He was just running at her like a wild boar, intent on skewering her on the end of his blood red arm. There was a small part of Jackson's mind screaming at him to slow down, to be cautious and test her abilities out first, use boxer kid's powers and pin her down. However, all Jackson wanted was, at this point, to tear Kina to ribbons.

(ooc: sorry Brightside, you weren't supposed to be actually tagged in this, I miss-clicked when I was trying to keep Blanche in the loop. You can still read it and act on it, obviously I can't pretend to tell you what to do. However, we've torn up the park pretty good, I'm sure you've seen/heard us by now XP)

(OOC: Sorry for not posting lol I've been running around all day.)

Brightside's moment was disturbed by the bangs and clashes of fighting. "They're making a mess of the place I gotta see this." he said then teleported over. He saw a good bit of new faces and a couple old. He saw PRIME floating away and immediately he shouted and waved. "Hey babe what's up." he said knowing exactly how to get under her skin. He then looked aver at the one guy using the claw on his right hand. He clicked out his own and smirked. This guy only had one while he had twice the power of him, but then again what other powers could he possibly have? It didn't matter at the moment he was focused on aggravating PRIME at the moment.

He considered her his Archnemesis and vice versa. The two had basically hated eachother since they set eyes on eachother. It was weird really but it gave Brightside something to do. She would get mad and Brightside would keep his cocky attitude through and through while Leo kept telling him to get out of there since she would beat him on paper but Brightside always had a way of escaping using a different tacit each time.

He looked to his side and listened to the girl."Am I to be rooting for someone? Well, to be honest I think that the Moon and the Sun should never fight at all. After all, they never meet. When one comes out, the other goes away, silly woman!" Brightside raised an eyebrow. "Girl what the fuck are you talking about the moon and sun these aren't rocks and fireballs fighting. Well, not these guys anyways." he said curious of this strange girl.

Tricky regained consciousness, he saw the man who had knocked him out cold was now engaging the masked woman. Not eager to face that monster any time soon, he bolted, for the first time since his powers had awakened he ran away. Without paying attention, his dash had taken him to a crowd of people. Since he was still hadn't gotten used to Rebound only touching vectors headed towards him he ended up crashing into the group. Of all the luck he'd fallen on the floating woman, of course this didn't affect her any but he hit the ground nonetheless.

"The fuck are you idiots just strolling around for?" Tricky wasn't in any mood to be pleasant at the moment, " That psycho with the red arm copied my powers and is on a bloody rampage." He stood up and pointedly looked at the hovering woman, "For the record, you're lucky I bumped into you instead of the other way around, things that try to hit me bounce away exactly as they came, for some reason the human body breaks under such treatment." He threw a wry grin, "It's not something I can turn off either."

There was a man who had asked the little girl about the sun and shit like that, "Does it really matter, if the Sun and Moon met, the Moon would vaporize. Actually an addendum on my earlier statement is in order: not just the human body, in truth everything I've encountered, except for that guy's right arm has a tendency to break against my Rebound."

Blanche looked to the one who had been called Brightside and blinked her long lashes. She took small sips of her tea, contemplating. "Well," she explained, "they're the Sun, of course," the girl tilted her head towards the Heroes. "And those," she said, tilting her head towards the Villains, "are the Moon,"

She turned to the man who had interrupted them. "The Sun would vaporize the Moon, wouldn't it?" she mused. "I suppose you're right."

After her explanation, Blanche lifted the tea cup to her lips and gulped the rest of it down in a single go. She lowered the cup and stared sadly at the emptiness, the only remnants a gentle heat pouring into her hands as she clutched it tight. Again turning to Brightside she said, "And you're the Bright Side of the Sun, aren't you?"

Brightside chuckled. "I see what you did there but no. I think I'm more of the stars." he pointed to both. "I can either go toward to Sun and say I am a sun in my own right or I can go to the moon and illuminate it in the dark sky." he then looked the girl over. She was young, much younger than most of the people involved in Kirkcroft's hero business. "I'm gonna say your a sun then but unsure if you really are..." he smiled sweetly he didn't want the girl to get hurt, she didn't even seem to know what she was doing really. "is that about right darling?" he said with a smirk on his face.

"Stars... I like to look at stars. They give hope." Blanche smiled to herself, as if embracing a secret. "And, yes, I tend to be under the Sun's rays. I don't know if I could survive without the Sun. The Sun gives me life, the Moon gives me purpose - but the Stars... the Stars give me hope." She closed her eyes, feeling out to Brightside's emotions and feelings. A surprise found her as she felt not only the darkness, but the light. It showed the right, the wrong, the neutral. "You..." she started. Very suddenly, a bright smile shone on Blanche's face. "You're the whole Sky!"

"Boooring," Tricky voiced when he heard the little girl and her fellow astronomy loving counterpart keep up their talk about the sun, moon, stars and all that. "If you're gonna make a metaphor of life to something, don't try to compare them to astronomy, they don't mesh well. The Earth needs the sun and moon, but good and evil are irrelevant. Furthermore the sun could destroy the moon but good and evil will forever exist. If good is light and evil is darkness there will always be a spot where the shade is different allowing for a revival of the opposing force. Call it whatever you want but because of free will both will always exist and will forever remain in a gridlock."

Suddenly bored of the crew he turned to walk off before remembering introductions, "Oh yeah, the name's Tricky; wanted for deciding I didn't exactly enjoy sitting in a military installation anymore and leaving whether they liked it or not."

Blanche stared curiously at the man. "Well, 'Tricky', nice to meet you! I think that you are very wise." she grinned, but then turned more serious. "But the Sun and the Moon will forever coexist to me, in perfect tandem but united by Sky. And I don't think that the Sun really wants to destroy the Moon, honestly," Blanche's thin fingers rested curled on her the tip of her chin. "After all, the Sun gets tired sometimes. And so does the Moon. But the Sky... the Sky is two in one - the Day and the Night - and never tires." Seeing Tricky's bored look, she giggled. "But I could go on and on. And somehow, I don't think that you escaped from a military facility just to listen to little ol' me."

She smoothed the ruffles of her dress, then spoke. "I'm the Lady Grey, but please call me Grey. Or Lady. Whichever you would like, as a label is only skin-deep. I'm a traveler and I'm not wanted." The last phrase, expressed where near nonchalance, held only a hint that the meaning was beyond the simple words. Her smiled was still plastered upon her face, yet it never seemed to reach her eyes. Her eyes, clouded, looked as a weary traveler and a mourning prophet who has seen too many wrongs to feel that things could ever be right.

Chaos looked over at Tricky whom was introducing himself. "Nice to meet you Tricky. You should come with us. Hell I'll buy you some lunch too, you look like you could use some." He told Tricky with a friendly smile. Walking backwards he address the Lady. "Lady Grey? Sounds like Fable to me. Oh well maybe I'm just a nerd. Well I'll have to catch up with you on the good/evil conversation later now I have places to be darling." He said before turning around to walk forward.

He addressed Prime with a small whisper. "I found out there's a shipment of Hypernatic DNA comming into the city. One hundred times more concentrated than stuff you were dosed with. I'll explain the rest of the details when we get back to base." He told her still walking. Hopefully Tricky would follow, he would make a valuable ally.

"We were talking about Astronomy? Or was it Metaphysics? Sorry, I can't pay attention worth a damn and a memory like a sieve but my powers depend on focus and mental strength...as you can see I'm really lacking in the former so I have to compensate with the latter." He wasn't entirely sure but he had to ask, "Parlez-vous français?J'ai dû vérifier, vos voyelles et le ton m'a rendu curieux." He knew his French was pretty bad but he just had to ask anyways, "At any rate, pleased to meet you little lady...you wouldn't happen to know where a shoe store is would you? I'm currently in need of some footwear."

He ignored any potential threat in her tone, after all the odds of him encountering a threat besides Red Hand were absurdly low. "Not wanted? You mean like people treat you badly, if you want I can deal with those bullies." A dark grin showed on his face, "After all mindless force will only stop if broken against an even bigger force."

He gave no outward sign of hearing the invitation to lunch but he followed the guy with his eyes, it wouldn't be too hard to follow him and the woman but he was going to hear what the girl had to say first.

Blanche giggled. "I've never been surrounded by so many friendly sorts before!" She smiled widely. "And Fables are all built upon truth - or rumor. En effet, en effet, cher ami. Et je ne parle pas français. Très perspicaces d'entre vous. C'est un plaisir de vous rencontrer ainsi." Then a frown fell onto her face. "But I'm afraid that I don't know of any shoe stores. My feet are always wanting to be near the ground, you see. Someone told me once that it was to keep me from floating into the clouds," she giggled again and pulled up the edge of her dress, exposing wiggling toes and bare feet.. "Well, we've all been not wanted, I think. And it's not that not being wanted is a bad thing. It's just... the Sun has the Sky, the Moon has the Stars - but here I am, on the ground with none but the Earth and the Grass. And the Grass has never been very good conversation, you see."

She laughed a light, airy sort of chortle of air. "It seems that you have been grounded as well, dear friend. Perhaps some shoes would aid you in finding the Sky yet again?"

"Technically, as soon as you leave the ground you enter the sky. After all who can say where they separate save where they touch?" With that he did a slight mental exertion and made the focal point of gravity for himself a couple inches off the ground. His body rose to account for the new change, staying as if on solid ground, "It's not as fun as one might think really,". He turned to follow the pair who had walked off, "As for conversation, earth and grass speak to slowly for us to hear, assuming they speak at all. I'd recommend you try talking with beasts, if nothing else they'll keep you company, who knows the right one may even talk back."

Ignoring his still not touching the ground, he began to walk off, "Feel free to hang with me at any time you two. I might not have a phone or anything but I'm easy enough to get in contact with." Of course he didn't move while trying to walk since the air didn't provide a solid enough surface to walk on so he had to drop to the ground before setting off on his way.

Blanche gasped, then grinned, the grin finally reaching her eyes. "Tricky," she smiled, "thank you. Maybe you should be the Stars."

She smiled to herself, watching Tricky walk away. She looked up to the sky where the endless stretch of blue, red, orange, and pink paint swept across the sky. She saw the first stars beginning to peak and the moon starting to show. Maybe, just maybe...

Maybe I'll be in the Sky one day, too.

Blanche stood before the jewelry store, her eyes focused yet dreaming and her expression saddened and longing. Sparkling gems lined from front to back showed themselves off to her, as if rubbing in the fact that Blanche could never dream to ever call them her own.

One piece in particular, not a gem nor a jewel, stood out to Blanche. It was a single metal hairpin, one which had been melded to precision. She found it beautiful - stunning, even - and then blinked, coming back to Reality's grasp.

"Oh, of course not," she said, shaking her head and smoothing the ruffles of her dress. "Silly, silly little me."

With the remark, Blanche turned, determined to leave and try to forget all about the hairpin.

Blanche watched as two figures, a man and a woman, ran out of the store. She looked curiously at them - they seemed to be in a sort of chase. The girl breathed in, and, as the man was running, barreled straight into Blanche, who stumbled to the ground. In that split second, she touched the skin of his arm, and looked into his eyes.

Blanche looked and was suddenly filled with an emotion of triumph, her adrenaline rushing and her senses aware. She gasped as she fell away, and the man, who looked startled, stumbled on. Blanche immediately reached into a ruffle in her dress, pulling out a full pot of tea. "Oh, dear," she gasped, out of breath. "You're as happy as a well-walked dog!"

Rafael had just started running when he noticed someone had started to chase after him, unfortunately he ran straight into a person he hadn't seen.
"Oh sorry miss." He said while regaining his balance. "Well, you can't exactly be sad after convincing a jewler to give you half of his gold correct ?" he laughed.
Then he looked over the shoulder. The person following him was an lady around the twenties.
He placed the bag on the ground and sat down on it, waiting or his follower to catch up to them.

"Damn it! Where is he?" Katherine said, running and looking around searching for the stealer.
There, she found the bag and ran straight, not as fast as she could to avoid incidents that may happen.
It seems that the criminal bumped against another lady."This is an unique chance!" She sprinted, having a bad time at skipping obstacles, like children, old men and grandmothers.
Then here we go,the man raised up,took time to clear the dust and create more dust with it's run.
When Katherine reached the girl, she stopped to take a breath.
"Stop it! It is bad going around stealing jewels....Oh hello there....Thanks for your collaboration for attempting to stop that little pest!" Katherine said, just before sprinting again.
Gladly, she saw the man drop the back and have a sit.
"Ohi! Drop the bags and I'll close an eye!" Katherine said, before stopping in front of the bag.
"Voilà! Today's course alias main action!"

"You... you stole these? Oh dear, sir, it seems that you're on the darker side of the Moon. How sad." Blanche pursed her lips, a frown squeezing onto her face.

Suddenly, a woman (who had most likely been chasing the Moon) came sprinting towards them. The woman spoke, stepping in front of the man and his bag of who-knows-what. Blanche turned to the woman and laughed. "But he's already dropped them, don't you see? He's sitting on them!" Blanche giggled.

"What my luck, running into two different fights between Sun and Moon, and even meeting a few Stars. I daresay, this is my lucky day!" She poured herself a cup of tea, and felt the inhaled steam seeping into her emotions, calming her. She brought out two more teacups and looked politely to the man, then the woman.

"Tea?" she asked, holding out two steaming cups of tea.

Rafael laughed at the two.
"I didn't directly steal it. I just convinced him to deliver it to me, so i could deliver it back to the original owners. Besides, Villains, Heroes. What's the difference? Both are destroying the city we live in."

He noticed the girl held a cup of tea against him. "Yes please" he answered, while taking the cup.
He then looked at the girl that had chased him. She didn't look much of a threat if it came to a fight, however he'd as usually prefer to not fight.
