βMay we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.β
βAgeβ
Appears mid twenties - early thirties
βAppearanceβ
Being of average build, standing around 5'4" he is a strapping man. His body is toned and obviously he has spent many hours training it into it's peak condition. When not in his "battlegear" he wears a blue kimono with white hakama pants and Geta sandals. He has long silky brown hair, like a newborn bearcub in spring. His hair is soft and of great quality. He has tanned skin from years of laboring outside, along with his skin he also gained callouses on his hands from the same thing. His hands are though hardened from hard work and toiling for hours on end. The only thing about Tenshi that isn't "manly" is his hair. He exudes wisdom and a calm strength, many people find a sort of sanctuary when they are with him, a calming tranquility washes over them and they feel safe, As they should. His entire body is covered in various scarring, he looks like a weathered piece of cloth that was left out in the elements too long. On his left arm and shoulder he has tattooing, mainly shapes and designs given to him as a gift by an old friend of his.

When someone images a folk hero what do you picture? A man probably, a kind man who looks out for the people of his town. Well when most people think of folk heroes they picture Tenshi. He travels, no, wanders all about Japan and assists those lesser villages and towns. He guards them from bandits and ruffians whenever he can. Because a big part of what makes him who he is, is that he cares for his fellow men. He truly cares for them, he listens to their struggles no one's problem is too trivial. He is the type of man who when a small child approaches him with a missing pet,he will take the day to recover the child's pet, even if he were seriously injured or exhausted he cannot turn away a person in need. He's always been that way.
Although he comes from the humblest of beginnings he has always had a sense of pride and honor that walk hand-in-hand with each other. He cannot allow dishonor to befall him because it would mean all the work he had done for all those people would be tainted by the black stain of dishonor. Of cursed actions that would sour all his good ones from that moment on. Because of that he would never back down from a fight even if he was outmatched. Cowardice is never an option, no fleeing or begging for mercy. Tenshi will fight until the bitter end, even if it means his own death. This in part is also because he is proud and will not lower himself to be seen as lesser than he deserves to be. Granted he is not arrogant, there is a huge difference from being a proud man and being an arrogant man.
With all his strength and ferocity in battle he is also wise and gentle. He knows from his life of experience what works and what doesn't in most situations. Some people who know of him will seek him out for his insights, if he is staying in a village/town at the time that is. He always happily gives his advice and will warn them according to what they wish to know. His gentle side comes into play around children, women, an animals, and the elderly/handicapped. Tenshi gets very enraged if harm comes to any of these that are dear to him, those who cannot defend themselves must be guarded and it is without honor to dispatch them in any fashion or belittle them. At that point the one who truly is low is the one who belittled or fought the helpless.
βRelationshipsβ
Tenshi has no memory of his actual birth family, just the older couple who took him in. They are elderly rice farmers from a tiny farm outside of a tiny village. Tenshi is incredibly close to these two, although they are very weak now and don't have much time left.
βEquipmentβ
He wields twin katanas expertly. They were hand-crafted by a well-known smith and then gifted to Tenshi for his good deeds. There is hardly a better swordsman around than Tenshi, it takes a lot to over come his precise dual-wielding style.

βWeaknessesβ
Dishonor|Conveying emotions|Women&Children&The helpless
βHomeβ
Tenshi has not called a place home in years, although he is welcomed in many smaller villages and towns as if they were his home. A sign of gratitude of things he's done for that village/town in the past or people who have heard of him and wish to aid his cause in any way they can.
