xxxxx|| Description || Piper isn't imposing in the least. A little on the short side, and with just enough muscle to be a visibly active person, you'd never guess that she'd be involved with anything criminal just by looking at her. She loves doing her hair and makeup, and often has very obviously spent a lot of time on her appearance. She dresses for style, and not comfort, though she would argue that she's never uncomfortable. While she doesn't always dress in the latest trends (they don't all suit her, if she's being honest), she does her best to always look fashionable and, yes, even trendy. She doesn't, however, seem to have a uniform sense of style, instead choosing to dress for the person she wants to be and the things she wants to do on any given day. She doesn't keep her hair overly long; she prefers to let it cascade just past her shoulders. While she often leaves it down, she never leaves it unstyled. She loves jewelry, and the people in her life often wonder aloud how she can afford it all. Of course, she'd never tell her secrets.

On a similar note, she is ruthless, and will use whatever methods she needs. Sheâs not above violence, slander, or petty lies to achieve her goals. Sheâs been known to be cruel, and her temper is somewhat legendary. People occasionally wonder if she doesnât feel guilt or remorse, or if she just bottles it up in favor of her anger, rage, and ambition.
Piper isnât one to put others ahead of herself: sheâs always her first priority. While sheâs not likely to leave a partner or friend high and dry, she would never sacrifice herself (figuratively, or literally) for the well-being of others. While she does enjoy her friendships, and what relationships sheâs been in have been fun enough, she generally finds other people to be more of a distraction than anything. She can admit that the talents of others are useful, but she tends to drop friendships and partnerships the moment they no longer serve useful to her.
She isnât, however, rude. Sheâs generally very charismatic, and is fairly good with people. Perhaps itâs her less than intimidating stature, or her mesmerizing eyes, or something about her smile; but she is generally fairly good with people. While she doesnât have the patience for long-lived relationships or too much small talk, she can make a friend just about anywhere she goes, if she so chooses. Anyone who spends too much time with her, though, may see straight through her, and know that all of her kindness is surface-level only. Still, she does enjoy some companionship, and the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone is a useful skill, especially if she needs to come off as sympathetic.

xxxxx|| Likes || Piper has always been a cat person, and has not been able to resist rescuing lost kittens in the past. She also loves birds, and enjoys spending time watching them. She loves jewelry, the more expensive the better, and she adores doing her makeup and experimenting with new looks and colors. She likes fashion, so much so that she canât seem to commit to a certain look or aesthetic. She doesnât particularly enjoy reading, but she does enjoy romance novels. She loves chocolate, mint ice cream, and any combination of the two. She genuinely enjoys cheesy movies and loves to sit and laugh at how bad they are.
xx
xxxxx|| Dislikes || Piper has never been a fan of coffee, sheâs just never gotten used to the taste, and doesnât plan on forcing herself to like it any time soon. She doesnât like cake, though she can stomach a nice chocolate cake. She just doesnât like the texture. While sheâs a decent cook, she just doesnât enjoy cooking, and prefers to order out when she can. She hates the rain, and doesnât âgetâ art. She doesnât like waiting, and hates nothing more than failure. Sheâs not a fan of her laugh, and hates hearing it.
xxxx
xxxxx|| Fears || Claustrophobia, failure, death.
xx
xxxxx|| Secrets || She's extremely lonely, and wants nothing more than to find someone to make a life with. xx
xx
xx
xxxxx|| Mind Control || Piperâs abilities arenât overly complex: when making eye contact with another person, she can-at will-attempt to exercise power over the personâs mind. This could be something from a simple command, to planting ideas, and even occasionally making someone forget something ever happened. Of course, the ability isnât perfect; a particularly strong-minded individual may fight against her control, and if someone wonât meet her gaze, her powers are mostly useless. Occasionally, upon breaking eye-contact to perform whatever command sheâs given, her victims will snap out of their trance. Her powers can be draining if overused, and have dulled her compassion for others.
xx
xxxxx|| Talents || Piper is a very good conversationalist, and tends to draw people in with her charm. While sheâs no master at hand-to-hand combat, sheâs had to learn enough to hold her own. Sheâs a good shot, and isnât afraid to use firearms if a situation calls for it.
xx
xxxxx|| Strengths || Piper has a strong drive to succeed, is very self-disciplined, and is unlikely to give up, even when things are difficult.
xx
xxxxx|| Weaknesses || Piper isn't a very good physical combatant, she has a hard time relating to people, and she stubbornly refuses to slow down or give up, even when it would be best to do so.
Her powers had started to manifest in early childhood, and she never really pinned down a reason or cause of her developing powers. No one else in her family had any powers, so she didnât think it was genetic; but then again, she didnât linger on the thoughts for too long. For a long time, she didnât use her powers for anything beyond convincing her teachers to give her more time to write an essay, or maybe talk the lunch ladies into giving her a free dessert at lunch. She was a sweet child, and even into her teenage years didnât want to manipulate people. But shortly after high school, when she had to move out and start life on her own, she realized how difficult life was when you had no financial help, and no connections. She used her powers, at first, to convince people to help her move to a bigger city.
At first, she tried using her powers to help people. She wanted to help people get food, and shelter. Maybe even convince a few people to give business opportunities to those who needed it. But she couldnât help but think about how easy it would be to use her powers to get all the things she never had growing up. It started small enough: she could easily con men into giving her money for decadent food, beautiful clothes, more lipstick than any one person needs. Then a crime syndicate found out about her, and they thought she would be a very useful asset.
And useful she proved to be. She quickly found that life as a criminal wasnât all that bad, really. It was very lucrative, and gave her the kind of life sheâd always dreamed of. It was by no means a dream job, but she found soon enough that she didnât mind it at all. Over time, she began to want more; and set out for higher targets, bigger payoffs. She enjoyed it all, really. The things she could do, the way she could do things with a look and a few words. It made her feel powerful, and not at all like the scared, hungry girl from West Virginia.
Sheâs scared again, now. Heroes as well as villains are disappearing, dying. Sheâs no stranger to death, but she isnât ready for her own.
