Theme 1 Human
Theme 2 Monster
Adopted Name: Leheshalesh (Lay-esh-hal-esh), or humanized Hel'elh Eschael (pronounced Hell-el Es-shale)
Aliases: The Tyrant King
Apparent Age: 40s
Gender: Male
Classification: VII
Appearance (Human) : Lehechalesh's human form is that of a tall dark-skinned man in his later 40s, well fit, muscular, and marred with scars. His left eye is missing, a reflection of his true battle worn form, his right a bright yellow contrasting his dark complexion.
Tall and proud, he stands at six foot, eight inches, a stature equally demanding in respect as his monstrous form, tinged in arrogance.
His flaw stems from the missing eye, fissures run outwards from the empty socket, that when he is agitated the socket and fissures leak a wispy dark vapor, like smoke. Even when often covered with cloth or a patch, the smoke cannot be hidden. However, he shows little concern in hiding himeself, a trait disturbingly full of confidence, or honesty, or even pride, it is not easy to say.
Appearance (Monster): His monster form is one only vaguely human, one that is stretched tall like a cast shadow, draped in ragged gray and black, a face cracked and frozen like a skull or mask, what was once a halo is now broken into what appear as devil's horns, a flowing mane and hair of wriggling smoky tendrils, and a single eye like a burning ember. His arms are long and thin, as are his fingers, possessing four in total.
He stands terrifying at around 6 meters, roughly 19 feet, a literal titan, godlike in stature, ever looming over like death itself. He has a fitting stature for a being who would title himself "Lord," standing proud and tall to the point of arrogance. However, it is easy to see why he would assume a less conspicuous form, less for hiding and more for practicality, after all, it would be burdensome to remain so large and maneuver himself in more narrow spaces.
Skills:
- Combat Prowess: Not only incredibly strong and durable, even in human form, he shows battle prowess that is closer to a warrior and tactician than a savage beast, his movements less instinctive and more intentional than the average monster. He has been known to use weapons and known combat maneuvers when fighting, be they Hounds or other fragments.
- Reach: In monster form, his long arms have a formidable reach, stretching out across the battlefield, his sweeps can be incredibly deadly if not careful. Equally so, his long powerful legs allow him to leap incredible distances, coming down with earth shaking impact.
- Swordsman: Shows skill with a singular blade, his choice one being drawn from his boney hip, made from a gnarled dark material, like a writhing coral, fitting as it was taken from his body. This material is not quite as durable as steel, but can be reforged.
Special Ability: Wither. Unique to him is a power linked to the shadowy mist that erupts from his body, following an unearthly roar. This mist covers an area around him, large enough just to drench those engaged in close combat. The effects of this mist are not to obscure vision, choke, or even erode the flesh, it is one far less physical, but rather exposure seems to have the effect of stirring up feelings of anxiety. Advanced exposure stirs up nostalgic longings of better days, painful memories, snowballing into violently heightened agitation and fear.
Psychological fortitude, however, varies the effectiveness, along with resolve, but for the common soldier, and common civilian, he can turn a situation on its head. Friendly fire and desertion is always a possibility if a battle drags on for too long.
Weaknesses:
Blind Spot - The most notable, and largest weakness Lehechalesh possesses stems from his missing left eye, leaving an entire side from which he cannot see. It forces him to rely on twisting his head often to track multiple targets. This weakness is only slightly mitigated when in his true titan form, having a larger view area from the elevation.
Big Target - When in his titan form, while stronger and still flexible, is also a larger target that is more likely to tank hits. Added to this, his big size works against him in tighter combat areas, places he generally avoids unless forced.
Other Fragments Consumed (If Known):
Initially a Class I, he consumed only around 4 unidentified fragments at the time of the destruction of Saltmaw, shifting to a Class IV. He showed only a defensive reaction towards attackers than outright aggression, and showed little interest in his former caretakers, as he calls them. Since being free however, his behavior soon shifted again, actively hunting down and consuming two Class VIs, known as Grendel and Strigoi, now at around 12 with them combined, shifting to a Class VII.
Persona: Strange for a fragment, he has something of an honorable disposition, ambitiously driven, if not somewhat cold and condescending, even arrogant, showing less aggression and weighing more value in rising above others with introspective and intellect. In containment at Saltmaw, he displayed limited social skill, choosing to isolate himself and watch from afar, rather than engage with the other fragments.
While dangerous, he shows little interest in civilians and low aggression fragments, having something of an almost humane honor code. He is also known to be honest, true to his word, with no interest in ploys of deception, his arrogance and condescending nature is heavily tinged by his heavily critical, yet honest views, be they towards humanity or other fragments both whim he deems lesser beings.
Known History: During his containment in Saltmaw, he was a strangely quiet fragment, displaying no aggression at all, resigned to his own corner, watching from a distance, meditative. Then, he was considered as something of a model inmate, speaking only when spoken to and having a cooperative demeanor. This changed to one that more restless days before the destruction of Saltmaw, pacing the area, asking strange questions to his caretakers, such as about their lives and values they hold, and how they value their futures.
At the time of the destruction of Saltmaw, he was mere sitting in his corner, waiting for a moment before striding towards the breach in the confinement, not engaging with the guards or other fragments. However, on his way he was attacked by four opportunistic fragments seeking to consume him, a scuffle forcing him to take on his monster form. In the fight, his left eye was ripped out, leaving his face cracked, and a bony halo-like growth was shattered into what now appear as horns. In retaliation he let out a roar before grabbing them, one arm each, beating them into submission before consuming each of them. He then stood momentarily, glancing over the guards, the carnage, the wounded, the dying before quietly leaving.
His more recent behavior, however, has been more proactive, intentionally hunting down and consuming two other fragments of the VI classification raising his threat level. His intentions may have always been the same, opportunity only giving him the means to act freely. He has so far killed one Hound, merely wounding others either physically or psychologically, showing he has little intention to be contained again.
Other:
Has adopted an anagram to his name, Hel'elh Eschael, when in human form, as humans seem to value a first and last name rather than a more complex singular one.
