Lana as most fairies can feel emotions much more intensely than humans or other supernatural do. During the past, this meant that even the smallest help from a human resulted in a grand reward of precious gifts while any slightest amount of harm often resulted in death as a punishment. These days Lana tends to stick to her kind as much as possible in order to keep her emotions in check. She often has wild mood swings between happiness, sorrow, love, and rage and so those around her who aren’t a fae can find it all overwhelming and difficult to handle. However, with these emotions, she has a great deal of empathy especially over living beings who are hurting (including animals and nature) so tends to in secret help as much as she can without being direct.
It is fairies that in essence makes the world beautiful through the way flowers bloom, and the sun shines. Because of this, fairies are artists, and they love to show their art through song, poetry and dance. Lana is a lover of music and has a gift in music where she loves to sing and especially play a range of instruments and finds it her mission to learn to play them all. Fairies are strict with their art and so Lana sacrifices a lot of her time and energy in perfecting her gift. Again, as emotional as she is; she is prone to violent bouts of rage when things don’t go the way she wishes.
It’s obvious that fairies do not like to be seen by humans and Lana is no different. In fact, even non – humans she tends to get nervous around, hearing stories from the elders about captured and tortured fairies. But more than that, Lana just tends to feel uncomfortable with being stared at and her lack of experience in engaging socially makes it even more troubling.

Lana was born, ironically on midsummer's day with the changing of the seasons. She was born into a family of all girls with her father shortly passing away after her first birthday. Her mother Rosier taught all the girls to remain close to one another as she to soon passed away after a horrible encounter with a human man. Because of this Lana was raised by her three older sisters; Seraphina, Celeste and Lorelei with clear instructions to never go near humans.
With every fairy, they are blessed with gifts that help Mother Nature, and Lana’s gift, unlike her sisters, was through music. From an early age she was spoilt with love and encouragement to treasure and grow her talent; often mastering an instrument within a few weeks and moving onto the next one. Along with her talent for playing musical instruments, she quickly learnt that her singing voice was another tool for expressing her magic. Although she grew up quite shy around unfamiliar faces, she loved being loud and playful to those close to her.
As someone who had first-hand experience on how humans can ruin not only the world around them but are dangerous to fairy folk; she was glad that her family lived in a small town uninhabited by humans. However, the other creatures that also lived in the town secretly scared her as they were so different in nature to her own kind.
Regardless, she kept to herself growing up, only showing her true self in front of other fairy folk but secretly Lana has always been curious about those unlike her; including humans. As a young teen, she started to quietly observe those around her, spending time just people watching and seeing how the other creatures lived. Her sisters continued to express their disapproval of her being so physically close to those not of their kind but remained optimistic that Lana was smart enough to not get into trouble. After all, the population of fairy-folk in the town continued to decrease to now only the Aelfdene family and perhaps a few scattered faes going in and out. This meant that Lana tends to be quite lonely, not having others who she could lean on or to understand.
However, with the arrivals of the human siblings in town causing a spark in town, Lana can’t help but be curious about their lives even if it means going against everything she’s been taught.

▪ Healing | Fairies have the ability to cure broken or withered plants; wounds, broken bones, low vitality, and even diseases and restore the emotions and spirits of others.
▪ Photokinesis | Fairies have the ability to project and control light and nature. A Fae with this ability can channel nature through their body and project it in a concentrated and powerful blast of light which seems to manifest as a kinetic force, conclusively throwing or repelling objects a considerable distance. Most fairies use this ability to attack an enemy.
▪ Mesmerization | Fairies can make humans do their bidding. The fairy only needs to have eye contact in order to seize your mind with a simple phrase or change in tone of voice.
▪ Chlorokinesis | Fairies can manipulate vegetation. Fairies can grow plants to enormous proportions in nearly any environment, and use them as weapons that can grab and attack with vines and roots, grow or retract thorns.
▪ Supernatural Knowlege | Fairies are much older and wiser than humans and even other supernatural creatures like vampires, werewolves, and shapeshifters.
▪ Illusion Casting | Able to cast vivid and convincing illusions in order to trick others as demonstrated with the illusion on the fae world, making it appear more appealing and beautiful.
▪ Oneirokinesis (Dream Infiltration) | They are shown to be able to enter peoples dreams and converse with that person when fairies both entered their slumber
