Before Mackenzie could think, Tristan was on the hunter. She watched, shaking as Tristan beat the man.

He was going to...

"Have you got anything to take his sight or memories. He knows where you live now!"

Mackenzie's blinked back to reality. "M-Mhm..." She said and darted to the pantry, she grabbed a bottle of ground blinding tree, pour some into her hand and ran into the living, while the Hunter struggled, she pulled Tristan away and threw the ground herb directly into his eyes. THe hunter screamed in agony and Mackenzie turned into Tristan's large chest as the hunter's eyes began to become inflammed and blistered, his eyes sealing shut, the intense pain knocked the hunter unconscious.

With that, Mackenzie's felt weak looking at the disfigured body of the hunter.

"He was gonna....He tried to...." Mackenzie turned away, shaking, not for what she had done to the man but what he was going to do to her.

Somehow her arms found their way around Tristan's waist and even as the man towered over her, she sobbed, trembling violently. " Th-thank you..." She said through her tears.

Tristan was surprised at first when Mackenzie hugged him but then his mind realised her reasons.

"He was gonna....He tried to...."

He wrapped his arms around her protectively his head resting on her head " I know and I'm so sorry, I couldn't just leave you with him...I was trying not to break the door down as soon as I heard your heartbeat increasing" he muttered.

He looked at the hunters unconcious body and Tristan thought of the next move to be made, they would check his pockets incase he had anything that could track him back to the house and then Tristan would drop his body off close to the town so he would be found but he wasn't sure what the hunter would say either. Tristan growled lightly in his throat and rubbed Mackenzie's back softly.

Mackenzie felt Tristan's large arms wrapped around her small frame, and a warmth washed over her. Her eyes closed, forcing more tears down her cheek. She felt safe, protected.

[b]"I know, and I'm so sorry, I couldn't just leave you with him...I was trying not to break the door down as soon as I heard your heartbeat increasing." He explained, comfortingly rubbing her back, the low rumbled of his throat providing a soothing vibration as she rested her head on his chest.

It was strange how things had gone, just last night, he was threatening to kill her yet here he was holding her, consoling her after saving her and her feeling safe in his arms and suddenly not so alone.

After a moment, her arms dropped and she looked up at her, her tears had dried, yet her cheek were streaked with them.

"Wh-what do we do with h-him?" She asked with a sniff.

"The blindness will be permanent if we don't get him help...."

"Even though he deserves it for what he tried to do..."She added in her head.

"Wh-what do we do with h-him? The blindness will be permanent if we don't get him help...."

Tristan rubbed his stubble laden chin in thought, crouching down next to the hunter he searched his pockets. Pulling out a few empty vials and a syringe he growled to himself he searched his other pockets finding a phone he had no idea how phones worked. Living in the forest all his life took away the need for technology, handing the phone to Mackenzie " can you check that to see if he has talked to anyone about where he is." He looked in the last pocket and found a pistol and some silver bullets which Tristan didn't dare touch. He gripped the gun with both hands snapping the metal in half, putting it back in the hunters pocket he stood up.

"We could take him to the outskirts of the town, if he is with a group they'll be waiting for him. I can't really risk being exposed no one knows me in town they'll ask questions. We could kill him or leave him to the blindness to take over he would have no way of remembering where you live"

Mackenzie felt a chill as Tristan stepped away, the warmth his body provided disappeared and so she wrapped her arms around herself as he examined the hunter.

"Can you check that to see if he has talked to anyone about where he is?"

He asked handing her a phone, Mackenize took it and through shaking hands, she searched through the phone. Thankfully, it was unlocked but unfortunately that meant he'd just used it.

Snap!

Mackenzie looked up to see pieces of a gun being shoved into the man's pockets.

She looked down at the phone again. The last call was made to HQ. Headquarters. That couldn't be good.

"We could take him to the outskirts of the town, if he is with a group they'll be waiting for him. I can really risk being exposed , no one knows me in town, they'll ask questions." Mackenzie nodded. "We could kill him, or leave him to the blindness to take over, he would have no way of remembering where you live."

Her first thought was to kill him, for what he'd tried to do, but it wasn't in her to say aloud, really. The blindness was enough. "We-we should leave him to the blindness..." She nodded, still shaking.

"We-we should leave him to the blindness..."

Tristan looked over to Mackenzie as she spoke she was still shaken up, she had every right to be. Standing up Tristan walked over to Mackenzie wrapping his arms around her, he spoke softly " ill take care of it...Allright, make your self a drink, have a sit down and I'll be back soon" he rubbed her shoulders softly. Letting her go Tristan picked up the hunter throwing him over his shoulder and walking out the door.

Tristan walked slowly through the forest keeping an eye out for hunters or traps, it was thankfully a silent trip. He came to a nearby ridge that less to town and was close to a poison oak bush, this would be the perfect cover for the hunter blindness.if he was found that it.

Jogging back to Mackenzie's house he nodded " all sorted...are you okay?" He asked shutting the door behind him. He checked his arm to see if it healed okay.

Mackenzie watched as Tristan walked over to her and closed his arms around her once again.

Mackenzie practically melted into his warmth. "It'll take care of it...Alright, make yourself a drink, have a sit down and I'll be back soon." He said softly and Mackenzie nodded.

"O-okay" She said and watched him disappear out the door with the hunter.

Mackenzie walked into the kitchen and sighed.

She was exhausted and terrified. She didn't understand why seeing as the hunter was blinded and Tristsn said he'd be back.

She tried to shake it but never before had she'd come so close to something like that before.

Rubbing her arms, she made herself some hot chamomile tea, stepping over the splintered wood that was her pantry doors. She didn't have the strength to clean it up now.

She made her way back into the living room and curled on to the sofa with her tea. Taking small sips trying to rid her mind of the horrible events that had just occured.

She was just about to doze when Tristan arrived back. She smiled weakly, not one of her usual 'Hundred Watters' that she was known for having.

"All sorted...Are you okay?" He asked and Mackenzie nodded. "Just tired now, I guess. That was..." She abandoned the thought. "How's your arm, the wound should have closed but it'll still be a bit sore." she told him, she'd rather play doctor then think about what had happened.

"Just tired now, I guess. That was...How's your arm, the wound should have closed but it'll still be a bit sore."

Tristan smiled as he walked over to the broken pantry door, it could be fixed with a couple of screws to fix the hinges back on. " its should be fine I just need some rest and food and it'll be Allright. I can fix your door for you I just knocked the hinge out of place. A few screw and it'll be as good as new" Tristan explained rubbing his arm. Picking up the splintered remains he tossed them in the bin and moved over to the sink to wash his hands and arm. He could do with a shower to get all of the muck and dried blood from last night off him.

" you wouldn't mind if I used your shower would you? I mean I must be stinking the place up right now" he smirked. Werewolves tended to give off a warming wooden musk but the scents were always different to each werewolf. " you don't have to worry okay? I'll keep you safe anything even happens just call and I'll come"

"It should be fine, I just need some rest and food and it'll be alright. I can fix your door for you, I just knocked the hinge out of place. A few screws and it'll be as good as new." Tristan explained rubbing his arm.

Mackenzie nodded, only half in the conversation.

She felt stupid for letting him into the house, but if she didn't, he may have tried that outside, where Tristan wouldn't have been able to save her.

"You wouldn't mind if I used your shower, would you? I mean I must be stinking the place up, right now." He said with a smirk. She smiled meekly. "Of course not, go ahead." She said, melancholically.

"You don't have to worry okay? I'll keep you safe if anything even happens just call and I'll come." He said bringing her back to the present. He seemed to be able to read her thoughts just now. She really didn't want to be alone.

"Thank you, Tristan. I'll be okay." She said with a smile, even though her eyes were low. "I think I'll rest up a bit until your finished." She said and stood up. She went into the kitchen and found the bag she had with his clothes in it.

"Here, I got them this morning, I hope their your size." She said holding the bag out to him.

"Thank you, Tristan. I'll be okay , I think I'll rest up a bit until your finished."

Tristan watched as Mackenzie spoke she still seemed to be adjusting to the previous events. He watched as she went into the kitchen and brought out a bag handing it to him.

"Here, I got them this morning, I hope their your size."

Tristan smiled he hadn't been given anything for a while most of his clothes he had to steal and ten alter by either ripping them to fit or wearing them as they came. His previous clothes he had been wearing for lasted a long while about 6 or 7 months, but most of his clothes became torn easily due to people shooting at him and his victims ripping at his shirt trying to get away. Shaking his head slightly he looked into the bag " thank you, this is very useful. I suppose me walking around half naked isn't he best idea.you never know when the next clothing is coming in"

He found his way into the bathroom and hoped into the shower, washing away weeks of blood and dirt, showers sure beat a mountain stream.

Mackenzie smiled as Tristan did. It made her feel a bit relaxed.

"Thank you, this is very useful. I suppose me walking around half naked isn't the best idea, you never know when the next clothing is coming in." He said and Mackenzie smiled a little wider.

If she had been in her normal state of mind, she'd had some cheeky comment for that but all she could do was smile and watch him walk off.

She went into the kitchen and sorted out all the food she'd purchased eariler. She'd lost her appetite but she figured Tristan worked up quite the appetite beating that man on an empty stomach.

She smiled to herself. She believe Tristan when he said he'd protect her. She didn't know why but she did.

She sighed. He'd have to leave though...or did he? The place was big enough, it was secluded enough that he wouldn't be chased. He didn't have t run. She could put up a protective barrier, well strengthen it, the only reason the hunter got in was because she invited him in. Tristan...well he was a good person, despite how things appeared, he just saved her life. The barrier protected her from dark souls. Tristan had a good one.

She smiled to herself and prepared his food, keeping it warm in the oven, she knew he'd smell the aroma and come running.

Once she finished, she collapsed on the couch and was asleep before she knew it.

Most days she would have cursed her inability to dream but given everything she was quote thankfully for a dreamless sleep.

Tristan washed thoroughly watching as his body became cleaner, he lathered the soap on his chin elongating one of his fingernails into a sharp claw. He shaved of the stubble that had gathered on his chin over the weeks of running, rinsing off the soap and hair he switched off the showers shaking his body he dried off quickly.

Stepping in front of the mirror he wiped away the condensation, checking his hair he used his claws to cut away the longer parts and shape his hair into a more normal looking state. His hair was still uneven but hair grew back so it would looked better eventually. Getting dressed the clothes fitted perfectly and held his shape well, still making him look strong but not as intimidating allthough he relied on his intimidating looks because no one knew to mess with him. Unless they got to know him.

Sniffing lightly he could smell the food cooking, his stomach growled deeply reminding him of his hunger. Walking downstairs he headed into the kitchen, he saw Mackenzie asleep on the sofa picking up a blanket he covered her lightly. Stepping into the kitchen he pulled out the pile of food from the oven, not minding the heat coming off it. Sitting down he dove into the food purring lightly in pleasure as the meat settled his hunger.

Mackenzie didn't know how long she slept but when she awoke she felt refreshed. She looked down to see a blanket had covered her, assisting in the comfortable sleep she was in. She propped herself up on her elbow and looked around. Tristan wasn't anywhere she could see, so she decided to check the kitchen. She smiled when she saw him, all clean shaven and what not. His hair was a bit....well...choppy but whatever. "You clean up nice." She said with a smile. She hadn't noticed how handsome he actually was, and given the circumstances how could she.

Now, she was able to take in his massive frame, chisled features and haunting eyes. He was tall, dark and handsome, if there ever were such a thing. It didn't help that he'd just saved her life.

"How was the food?" She asked when she caught herself staring.

Tristan turned when he heard Mackenzie speak, to be honest he had smelt her when she had entered the room even over the smell of the eaten food. It was that fruity aroma like a summer breeze, smiling softly at her comment . " You clean up nice "

He turned in his seat and spoke " well thank you, it does do some good to have a source of hot water and soap, usually for me it's just cool stream water and some berries mixed in, unless I can get a fire going" he explained. He didn't mind living in the forest, it was his home sure it got bad a time especially during the winter but Tristan would always find shelter in a cave he didn't mind if it was inhabited by animals. They understood him sometimes better than humans.

" How was the food?"

Tristan patted his stomach lightly " it was good it'll hold me for a few days, till I can find a source of meat nearby like a deer or a fox" he said smiling softly.

She could only imagine what that must of been like and she didn't really want to.

She took a seat across from him as he patted his stomach. "It was good, it'll hold me for a few days, till I can find a source of meat nearby like a deer or a fox." He said with a soft smile. Mackenzie smiled back. "Tristan," She began, suddenly nervous. "You don't have to go. I mean...what I mean is. You can stay here,You won't have to hunt, unless if you want to. There's a spare room right upstairs. A little ways away from mine." She said nd felt a blush rise to her cheeks. " I think the woodland creatures would greatly appreciate it." She said with a giggle but it faded. "And besides, you won't have to run from them night after night. They can't get in unless I invite them in, They can't even see the house, so it's secluded enough that you'll be able to relax." She said, looking down at the floor and then giggled bashfully. "Just a thought."

Tristan listened to Mackenzie's proposal and thought for a moment, he would like somewhere to stay, but he had no idea how the wolf would react to being kept inside. As well as when the full moon appears the wolf became increasingly irritable and aggressive.

" well it would be nice to stay inside for a change, but I'm worried about the wolf, whenever the full moon draws closer I become angry and I wouldn't want to hurt you, I was close to killing you last time" Tristan explained looking to the ground briefly.

Mackenzie nodded solemnly but an idea crossed her mind. "Wolfsbane," she said. "During the waxing moon, I'll plant some wolfsbane outside the house. Then it should keep the wolf at bay while your inside, then during the Change, You can go out, the wolf will avoid the house entirely." She suggested. "I'll check my grandmother's Book of Shadows to be sure." She said, realizing, she really didn't want him to be alone. Not after what she saw and how he saved her. He deserved a home.

"Wolfsbane"

The word brought Tristan out of his track of thought, to think about tales that his mother used to tell him. One he fondly remembered was about how a witch found the wolfsbane plant to calm a wolf for a foreign prince who had been bitten on the night before his wedding, ironically by his bride to be. The prince stated that he would repay the witch for her kindness but he forgot to return to her with his thanks and gratitude so she curse him and his family for all eternity. This was one of such many tales that foretold the origin of werewolves.

Blinking he looked to Mackenzie as she continued speaking explaining her idea.

"During the waxing moon, I'll plant some wolfsbane outside the house. Then it should keep the wolf at bay while your inside, then during the Change, You can go out, the wolf will avoid the house entirely.I'll check my grandmother's Book of Shadows to be sure."

" sounds like a plan I think we have a few days before signs start to show of the moon, if I do every attack you I want you to do whatever you think is right...stun me...put me to sleep whatever you think will help protect you" he spoke softly.

"I think we'll have a few days before signs start to show of the moon, If I do ever attack you, I want you do whatever you think is right...stun me...put me to sleep whatever you think will help protect you."

Mackenzie nodded, she wanted to decline but she still held the scars on her arms from where the wolf grabbed her last night. She knew what he was capable of in the wolf's control. "Okay but I think the wolfsbane will do, I'll even plant some inside." She said and walked over to him and hugged him. "Are you really gonna stay?" She asked, her voice muffled some by his shoulder. Even as he sat, he was still considerably larger then her.

Tristan held Mackenzie as she hugged him, his fingers traced the scars on her arms. Tristan never wanted to hurt her but sometimes he lost control he didn't know how the wolf would react, and how he affected Tristan became during the run up to the full moon.

He nodded when she asked him if he was going to stay " if you can put up with me " he smirked softly.

(Skipping to the run up of the moon)

Tristan sat on the sofa his hands running through his hair growling to himself, the wolfsbane had helped keep the wolf calm but he was determined to break Tristan like he always did. He was making Tristan tired and stressed a method use before to break the barriers of the wolf to unleash its anger.

Hurriedly, Mackenzie brewed chamomile and ginseng tea. Tristan was having a hard time, and Mackenzie, for all of her witchcraft could only do so much. Turns out, Wolfsbane while it helped calm the wolf, being around it. It was quite poisonous if ingested. She couldn't make tea out of it. Try as she might, there was only so much she could do.

The stress of not being able to help him was getting to her.

His dreams were getting worse with the wolf always yapping, and she was forced to see it, thus having not had a good night sleep in a few weeks. Tending to the wolfsbane seemed to be the only thing not frustrating her.

She grabbed the hot tea pot off of the stove. "Shit!" She winced, as the pot holder shifted some, letting the hot metal brush against her palm.

She ignored it and pour Tristan a glass and rushed it to him. She sighed when she saw him.

The first few week was easy, he'd fixed the pantry like he's promised, she'd planted the wolfsbane outside and in. Things were good but now, it was getting hard.

She slipped beside him, and wrapped a comforting arm around him. "Hey." she said softly. "Sip this, it should help with the tiredness." She said, handing him the cup, trying to be calm, it didn't help that the scars on her arms were beginning to itch.

"You'll get through this, just a few more days." She said. Hopefully once the wolf got a run, he'd ease up on Tristan. She doubted it but still.

She'd been trying to find a spell that would give Tristan more control but her grandmother didn't seem to know any werewolves. A few Fae though and a vampire but no werewolves. So she had nothing to help. Mackenzie didn't want to find a Coven although if this kept up, she just might have to.

Tristan jumped slightly when Mackenzie sat next to him, he had been daydreaming away trying to stop himself from loosing it. She slipped beside him, and wrapped a comforting arm around him. "Hey. Sip this, it should help with the tiredness." She said, handing him the cup. "You'll get through this, just a few more days."

Taking the cup from her he took a sip of the tea, he grimaced at the taste. He wasn't used to drinking tea and the wolf was having none of it he threw the cup across the room causing the cup to shatter against the wall as well as the liquid spraying over the room.

Grabbing Makenzie by the throat he growled deeply " All of these filthy witch's tricks won't hold me back forever" he chuckled darkly his thumbs caressing the scars on her arm. " soon I'll be here and you won't have a chance, you'll be mine, your blood will be in my veins" he leaned forward sniffing her neck deeply, growling lightly he smiled darkly and stood up walking out the door.

Tristan groaned loudly throwing himself against a nearby tree " Don't ever do that again! You are not to harm her!" He stated he groaned again the wolf turning back at him " Oh look who is finally becoming a man, getting all protective over a stupid little witch! I know how you feel about her. I'm in your head remember? Just because she pulled a bullet out of your arm, you think you need to protect her?" He said tilting his head growling lighty. Tristan shook his head " I may have feelings but at least she is caring and not in fear, like so many others and at least we have things in common. We are both alone that's why it's good we are together" The wolf growled deeply his claws elongating and slashing at Tristan's chest " she will let you down and you will always come back to me"

Tristan fell to the ground tired and bleeding he breathed quickly looking up at the stars.

Mackenzie smiled when Tristan took the cup but it was gone in an instant as the glass went flying across the room and she was caught by the throat. She closed her eyes tight, so she wouldn't see that this was Tristan doing this because it wasn't.

"All of these filthy witch's tricks won't hold me back forever."The wolf growled, his hand moving down to her arms, brushing over the scars on her skin. "Soon, I'll be here and you won't have a change, you'll be mine, Your blood in my viens." He said and moved down to her neck, sniffing deeply.

Mackenzie held her breath, Tristan made her promise to protect herself from the wolf but she didn't want to hurt Tristan...better yet, she couldn't bring herself too.

Mackenzie let out her breath as the wolf took Tristan away.

She closed her hands over her eyes. She had to help him but everything she tried only pissed the wolf off even further. He wanted something but what? Besides blood, there was something, some ultimate goal...she had to find it. Please the wolf and maybe he'll let Tristan alone.

Mackenzie stood up and made her way outside. After a small search she found Tristan down on the ground bleeding from his chest.
At first she thought Hunters but no, she saw the claw marks.

"Tristan!" She called and rushed over, lifting him into her lap. She looked down at him feeling pressure behind her eyes. He didn't deserve this...it wasn't fair. "What does it want?" She whimpered. "How can I please him so you can have a break from all this?" Her brow creased tight as tears glossed her big brown eyes.

Arcs are bundles of posts from any location, allowing you to easily capture sub-plots which might be spread out across multiple locations.

Add Quest » Quests

You can create Quests with various rewards, encouraging your players to engage with specific plot lines.

Add Setting » 1 Settings for your players to play in

Settings are the backdrop for the characters in your universe, giving meaning and context to their existence. By creating a number of well-written locations, you can organize your universe into areas and regions.

Navigation

While not required, locations can be organized onto a map. More information soon!

Add Group » 0 Factions to align with

Collectibles

By creating Collectibles, you can reward your players with unique items that accentuate their character sheets.

Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.

Mobs

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!

Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!

Current Mobs

No mobs have been created yet.

Spawns

Events

You can schedule events for your players to create notifications and schedule times for everyone to plan around.

Permissions
