Gryffindor Head Girl Muggleborn Transfer from Fukuoka Daiichi Seventh Year Dialogue Color Code: #800000
ImageImage
This year, unlike any other year, Acacia was getting herself ready for magic school. Though of course instead of attending Fukuoka Daiichi, she'll be one of the newest students at Hogwarts. Her father received a better job back in London, England, so they had to move from Asia back to her hometown. It's been almost fifteen years since she's been here and she doesn't remember anything about London. It was definitely at huge culture shock, that's for sure. Although, Acacia didn't seem to mind it in London, the only thing she hates about it is that on her last year, she will be the new kid and not just any new kid, the new muggleborn.

Acacia heard a few stories about Hogwarts, it being filled with Death Eaters and vicious pure bloods who hate muggleborns and half bloods just because they're not pure. There were these people back at Fukuoka Daiichi as well, but they were never has vicious as the ones at Hogwarts.

With a sigh, she ran through the platform wall to get to platform 9 3/4 before boarding the train. She placed Ginger in the storage area with the rest of the pets and left her luggage right beside Ginger. "Just a few hours and I'll be back. You be good now," she stated to her bird before starting to look for an empty compartment. Seeing as how she hadn't had any friends and was unsure of who she would be asking to sit with if she tried right now, she figured she would rather sit alone. Finally she found one and she took a seat as she stared out the window.

Head of Ravenclaw Magical Creatures Professor Pure Blood Dialogue Color Code: #9F000F

Ariel couldn't believe it was the beginning of another new year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was just starting to enjoy his summer and now he had to go back to work and teach a bunch of spoiled, know it all students. Of course he was always polite to them when they obeyed the rules of the school and his class, but other than that he didn't really want to be around them. The only reason why he was is because the headmaster, Sera Lockhart wanted him to teach and every year she asked him to stay. He couldn't just tell her no. As long as he didn't have to be the head of Slytherin...ever, he would be fine.

With an exaggerated sigh he took a seat in one of the professor's compartments and began to pet Blaze, his gorgeous black feline as he looked out the window. He could see the fog rising up from the trees and nature's most precious animals scrimmaging around, looking for food or running for their lives from the predators. Animals were intriguing creatures, whether magical or not. Ever since he was a child he enjoyed studying animals and trying to understand their behaviors. As a student, he was the smartest in his magical creatures class, which it turn caused him to receive the job as the professor of that class.

The first year he started teaching he wanted to give it a shot and came to find that it was very stressful, especially when having to deal with all of the rotten brats who think they can just do whatever they want and get away with it. But this year...he prayed this year would be a whole lot better. Though part of him had a feeling it wasn't going to be. Adriel heard whispers along the streets of Diagon Alley over the summer and that very morning about Death Eaters coming back to Hogwarts. He just hoped this rumor wasn't true. Hogwarts definitely didn't need to go through another battle in order to save the school and the entire magical world for that matter. That was something he wasn't up for to begin with. But if it happened, he knew it would be ready.

Hufflepuff Half Blood Sixth Year Dialogue Color Code: seagreen
ImageImage
Nico was boarding the train to Hogwarts for the sixth time in a row. He couldn't believe that he had one more year after this and his Hogwarts life would be over, unless he returned as a professor. Though once he boarded the train, he immediately began to look for a compartment and hope that he would be able to see his fellow Hufflepuffs and see Michaela Fowler and Colton Valenti. Nico wasn't all that much of a social person, but when it came to people he seemed to enjoy being around, that was definitely Michaela and Colton. Many people seem to get on Colton and Nico about hanging out with each other, merely because Colton is a pure blood and Nico is a half blood. Though honestly, that doesn't matter to him. As for Colton, he had no idea if it did or not. But if it did matter to him, then he couldn't help but wonder what Colton was doing hanging out with a half blood if he was prejudice against half bloods and muggleborns.

Nico just erased the thoughts from his head as he sat down. He slouched in the seat and folded his arms over his chest as he laid his head back against the seat and closed his eyes. The night before he hadn't been able to get very much sleep because he was just too excited that he was going to be going back to Hogwarts. But now that he was on his way, the deprivation of sleep has definitely caught up with him.

Myrra and Ayria found themselves running for the sake of their education, just like every single year before now. Ayria always made the punctual and education-loving Myrra late, much to the older twin's constant aggravation. The two made it just in time to board the train, and went their separate ways once on board. Myrra was a Ravenclaw, Head girl to be quite exact.. and Ayria was a Hufflepuff. Hogwarts separated these girls for the first time, and they were simply never as close as they were before their enrollment. Even living together during the summer didn't make Myrra feel any closer to her sister. Ayria was like a stranger to her these days, and there was definitely something going on with her, but Myrra couldn't place her finger on it. It was irritating, but also intriguing at the same time. Mysteries were meant to be solved.. That was what she always told herself, but Ayria never seemed to leave any clues behind. She didn't even know where to begin. How would she unravel her sister's strange behavior, if her sister didn't throw her a bone every now and then? Whatever was going on, Ayria was being tedious about covering it up, and tedious was one word that definitely didn't describe Ayria.

Myrra shuffled through the train, captured in her own thoughts when she finally landed her hand on a door. She waited until there was no annoying chatter, and opened the door to find none other than a close friend of her's, Kai Bolton. Then her eyes fell on the discarded book laying at his side. Her left brow quirked in curiosity, and she immediately sat across from him, without asking for permission, "Kai Bolton beats me to studying? This is by far a first. Who has witnessed this? I have a reputation to defend after all." She slightly teased, careful to keep her mature and in charge attitude. Sure, Kai was a friend of her's, but she couldn't drop her guard. She had to be professional regardless of their friendship, for more reasons than one.

"Either I'm later than I thought, or you're stepping up your game." She added, taking her long brown hair in both of her hands, maneuvering it around until it was ready to be tied in a high pony. She wiggled the hair tie off of her left wrist and quickly wrapped it around her hair three times before allowing the strands to fall free. She couldn't let Kai beat her, so instead, she decided to join him. She held her hand out, waiting for him to pass her the book, "What subject are you having trouble with? I don't mind helping, you're as much of a threat to my academic rankings as I am to your Quidditch season." She inquired with a kind and gentle smile. As a Ravenclaw, especially the Head Girl, Myrra enjoyed gaining knowledge, and of course sharing it with others. Studying was oddly one of her pleasures and she did not mind helping another, so long as they were ready to seriously hit the books. Though it wasn't often she extended her help toward another Ravenclaw student. She was in undying competition with those she deemed academic rivals and she would not lend them a hand if her own life depended on it.

"Besides, if you can't play, then Ravenclaw will get a handicap and I can't allow that to happen." She stated with a sigh. Despite being purely academic, she did show pride in her house and there was no way she would let Slytherin get the upper hand on Gryffindor if she could help it. She hated it when Ravenclaw lost, especially to Hufflepuff or Slytherin. She didn't like losing period, but at least she could blame it on the sports know-how. Most Gryffindors were action driven rather than academically, "There is no way that Gryffindor is losing to Slytherin. That would be like us handing the win to Hufflepuff, we'd never hear the end of it. Both of our houses are known for their competitive nature, so they should go against each other in the end."

She hated making Myrra late, but it was just in Ayria's system to wake up late. She was born late, and was often late for her classes. She was a very...odd... Hufflepuff. She almost wondered if she'd been sorted into the right house at all. She made her way through the train, opening the first door she found intriguing. She noticed two familiar faces, Ethan and Aiden Parker. Another boy was also familiar, and her almost glued on smile wore off. Diego Jordan? Slytherin Head boy? She'd seen him around before, but she never really spoke to him so far. She tried to evade the "Head Boy" and "Head Girl" crowd. Rules, rules, rules.. yawn. Though before her fight or flight instincts kicked in and had her bolting out of the room, Ayria noticed that there was another girl there too, but she was certain that she'd never seen her before. Well this is interesting, just enough reason to stick around for a bit.

"Mind if I join you? Everywhere before this has been pretty full, I'm Ayria Blake, a seventh year Hufflepuff. You are..?" She smiled, towards the girl of the group, but her eyes quickly returned to the twin boys. The two were together, the complete opposite of her and Myrra. Sometimes people often forgot that she had a twin because the two kept such a constant distance. She was a bit envious of these two, they didn't seem to have the same complications, well, of course they didn't.

"You two are joined at the hip again I see. I guess it's kind of adorable in this light. Kind of." She smirked a bit. Leaning against the doorway since she had not yet received permission to join the group. She decided to poke fun at the twins a little, seeing as Ethan was in the same house as her. She saw him around a lot, so he and his brother were the most comfortable people for her to converse with in the room, "Does it help you guys pick up girls..? I'm curious, me and Myrra haven't tried it before." She had to be a bit bitchy, because she couldn't let anyone get too close. If she made really good friends, or fell in love, it would only put them in danger. She got caught in the wrong kind of crowd a few years back and they were definitely a club you couldn't just leave. The only way someone stopped being a Death Eater was leaving in a body bag or being zapped into ashes, and her family and friends would quickly follow as punishment. She didn't feel like condemning everyone else for her poor decision, so here she was, running through the motions, but never settling down and letting herself root in any particular group of friends for more than a few days at a time. She was seen as very...fickle at school. She was like a gust of wind traveling through the student body. A lone wolf of sorts.

"So what are you lot up to..?

Head Boy || Mugglebron || Seventh Year || Dialogue Color Code: #4F7AAD
ImageImage

Diego had taken his seat when a girl appeared, one that he didn't know. Diego had smiled upon seeing Ethan asleep. Neither of the boys were a part of his house, but he was friends with both. He nodded when asked if he understand leaving Hogwarts was weird. It truly was. He had spent the past five years there, being a transfer from King Cove after his first year there. Diego looked up when a girl opened the door to their cabin. He gave Aiden a slight tilt of his head with a smile before scooting over to allow the girl plenty of room to sit down on the grand seat. "Hey,"
Diego said as he looked at the girl. She was a brunette, and looked pretty cute. Diego nodded in agreement with Aiden as he did the talking. He smiled with the little white insult towards his brother.

Diego gave a slight wave himself. "Hey, my name's Diego. I actually went to King Cove my first year," Diego stated with a smile as he leaned back comfortably but not awkwardly close to the girl. "Britain isn't that rainy compared to the US if you live in the right place. New York in the winter? Yeah... Crazy," Diego stated with an intake of breath between his teeth.

The door opened yet again and Ayria, a Hufflepuff that Diego kind of knew, walked in. "Go ahead, the more people the merrier," Diego stated. He then realized that this was Myrra Blake's twin sister. Diego wanted to say something about it not having anything to do with being twins that guys could pick up girls. There were other things people looked at, but knew that's not what anyone wanted to hear and bit it back, instead leaning back even further in a lazier fashion that made it clear he was interested in the coversation, skillfully hiding the fact that he was anything but interested.

"Talking about the upcoming quidditch season and the fact that Slythering is going to take the cup this year," Diego stated as he pretended to observe his nails in a normally vain way though anyone who knew them knew he was just messing around, while nobody knew he was pretending to mess around.

"How's it been with you? Enjoying summer?" Diego asked, appearing genuinely interested. He had only ever had one person figure him out, and that was someone he knew a long time ago. He did the act so much, it was basically his first personality and the real one was the second.

He wasn't like most head boys, he was smart and he was loved by teachers, yet he was laid back and didn't mind breaking a few rules once in a while.

"Go ahead, the more people the merrier,"

"Thank you, Diego, right?" She asked, tilting her head a bit as she inquired about his name. She wasn't one hundred percent sure, but she was giving it a legitimate go. She didn't want to insult her cabin mates on purpose, that would be a little stupid. She finally stepped in, closing the door behind her. She did not take a seat yet, simply putting a small duffle bag in one of the compartments above their heads, "You're a Head Boy, kind of like my sister right?" Then Diego responded to her previous question, talking about what they were doing.

"Talking about the upcoming quidditch season and the fact that Slytherin is going to take the cup this year,"

Ayria's eyebrows raised, a bit shocked by Diego's blunt statement. She was definitely serious about Quidditch, and not a big fan of the Slytherin team. She had to have a little Hufflepuff pride, right? She had been the team's Keeper for several years, and was a bit skeptical. Their team wasn't horrible, so what did Slytherin have up their sleeve all of a sudden? Immediately she took a seat on the same side as the twin boys, but far enough to where the sleeping Ethan would not recognize her presence. She leaned forward a bit, brown eyes staring at Diego with a fiery glow, "That was a bold statement. How do you figure? As Hufflepuff's Keeper, now I know to step up my game." She replied in a sweet tone, blinking her chocolate brown eyes a little quicker than usual. She wasn't mad, but she was definitely intrigued and feeling a bit challenged by this statement. She was determined to figure out what Slytherin had planned that made this guy so frigging cocky. It was kind of eating away, making her skin itchy and uncomfortable, like something was gnawing at it. This guy was definitely getting under her skin and bringing out her competitive nature. Ayria would definitely have to tell Odette to schedule extra practices, she planned to make Diego eat his words, joking or not.

"How's it been with you? Enjoying summer?"

Ayria's eyes widened a fraction of a centimeter, although her face otherwise kept a cool and calm expression. She licked her lips, thinking of how to respond to his question. Killing? Taking orders from other Death Eaters? How could she respond to something like this when she spent a majority of her summer doing illegal and criminal activities? Finally she came up with a sufficient answer that was true but also vague enough that it wouldn't make anyone suspicious of her actual out of school activities, "Learnt a new spell or two, spent some time out of town. The usual. The Blake family never goes anywhere interesting.. What about you guys? Let me live vicariously off of your vacations." She answered with a charismatic laugh before her eyes turned to the other girl and a smile formed on her lightly tanned features. She had to get the conversation off of herself, so she chose to move things in that girl's general direction. A kinder less competitive smile crossed her lips as her eyes moved from Diego and fell on the other brunette female, "I want to hear about you first... if you don't mind, that is." She stated, obviously interested, but there was a bit of a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. Diego as a Slytherin, was the most dangerous person to her cover than anyone in their train cart. She couldn't even give him a whiff of her true intentions at this school.

After Aiden shook Brinley's hand she spoke to him, "My name's Brinley, and yep, I just transferred from King Cove, in the lovely sunny land of the United States of America." After Diego spoke, the door opened again, a girl stood there, Myrra Blake's twin sister, Ayria. Aiden didn't know her too well. "Mind if I join you?" Diego quickly answered, "Go ahead, the more people the merrier," Diego smiled. "Thank you, Diego, right?"Ayria tilted her head as she walked in, shutting the door behind her, but she didn't sit down just yet. "You two are joined at the hip again I see. I guess it's kind of adorable in this light. Kind of." Aiden chuckled as Ayria poked fun at him and Ethan, "Whatever." Another question spawned from Ayria, "Does it help you guys pick up girls..? I'm curious, me and Myrra haven't tried it before." Aiden chuckled again, "No. Apparently I'm too much of a nerd and Ethan's too weird to date any pretty girl we like. As embrassing as it sounds, both of us have never been on dates before." A small whisper came from Ethan, "Don't tell everybody that! And you wonder why we can't get any girls. You big freaking doof." A hand popped out of the blanket and quickly slapped him across the head. "Wait. You're awake?" Ethan pulled an 'are you serious?' face before saying, "Yes, Aiden. I've been awake for the past twenty minutes. I couldn't go to sleep over all your gibbering." Aiden sighed and rolled his eyes, "Just, shut up and go back to sleep." Aiden shoved Ethan's head back into the blanket. After that argument, Ayria spoke again, "So what are you lot up to..?" Aiden tried to think of something, but before he could speak, Diego did. "Talking about the upcoming quidditch season and the fact that Slytherin is going to take the cup this year," Aiden sighed and rolled his eyes, "Oh, here we go." He whispered to himself and Ethan chuckled. Ethan was a chaser for Hufflepuff, Aiden was Ravenclaw's seeker. Aiden could see the fire in Ayria's brown eyes at Diego's statement, "That was a bold statement. How do you figure? As Hufflepuff's Keeper, now I know to step up my game." Aiden smiled watching them... argue? He didn't know what it was, but it was entertaining. Diego decided to change the subject, "How's it been with you? Enjoying summer?" Aiden didn't speak again, Ayria did. "Learnt a new spell or two, spent some time out of town. The usual. The Blake family never goes anywhere interesting.. What about you guys? Let me live vicariously off of your vacations." She then looked at Brinley, "I want to hear about you first... if you don't mind, that is." Aiden looked at Brinley and smiled at her.

"Did you hear? Apparently some deatheaters are at Hogwarts..." "Deatheaters are going undercover at the wizarding schools..." "Are they going to attack the students? The teachers?" "Deatheaters are..."

In the few weeks leading up to school, Odette had heard little else. Gossip about the villainous 'pureblood' activists hiding in wizarding schools was all the news. The Daily Prophet, a wizarding magazine her aunt read with scarily intense passion, had been going gaga over it. Nothing like a scandal involving murderous, 'mudblood'-hating fascists to get people interested.
To be honest, Odette wasn't really sure what to think. It was a scary concept, most certainly, but to be honest, there was no proof. It was currently nothing more than a rumour, spread by the eager and intrigued.
But a rumour had to start from something, right?

And besides, there was no way that the possibility of teenage deatheaters was going to stop her from going to her favourite place in the world, as well playing her favourite sport. Odette clutched her broomstick tightly, its long handle smooth and polished despite it being almost seven years old. Cosimo's cage had already been loaded onto the train, as well as her suitcase, and she carefully slipped her broomstick into its box, and into the storage room after it. Peering up at the sky, she caught a glimpse of sandy color, and smiled. Cosimo hated his cage, preferring to fly alongside the train rather than within it.

Her aunt and uncle had had to bit her adieu from the other side of the barrier, what with them being muggles, and so as she mounted the train, she was on her lonesome. That being said, she was well known, and shared smiles and brief greetings with a number of acquaintances, classmates and friends as she searched for someone a little more personally close, or even a free compartment. The latter, due to her own lateness, was excrutiatingly rare, and in one case, she walked into a seemingly empty room only to receive an icy glare from the seventh year Ravenclaw residing inside. "Uh, sorry..."
Another compartment. Full. Another. Full. Another. Not quite full, but obviously not welcoming. Odette sighed, only to perk up when she heard a couple of familiar voices. Walking over, Odette mumbled, "Let there be a seat. Let there be a seat. Let there be a-" She peeked in through the doorway with a small, nervous smile, gesturing to the last vacated space.

"Hi, I don't suppose that seat is free, is it?" She looked over the people in the cabin, relieved to spy familiar, and even friendly, faces among the fray. Noting the two twins, one nestled under a blanket, and the other smiling at a girl she didn't recognise, her own smile brightened.

Ravenclaw - Sixth Year - Half-blood - Transfer student from King Cove (America) - #D66E5A

After introducing herself to the guys, another pretty girl entered their compartment and joined their conversation. She seemed way more confident and feisty than Brinley, and that kind of intimidated her. But after hearing the girl speak, earning a few chuckles from everyone, she instantly warmed up towards her and relaxed. Diego telling her that he came from King Cove too instantly made Brinley feel more at ease; she wasn't the only transfer student in the history of Hogwarts (that was obviously logical, but she loved being dramatic).

They all started to discuss stuff about quidditch, and since Brinley wasn't really fond of broomsticks or heights she kept quiet, just listening what they all had to say and drifting off into her own thoughts. Yes, she was a very athletic girl but the only exercise she did was on the ground, safe and sound. A voice interrupted her thoughts and made her look towards everyone. It was pretty Hufflepuff girl Aryia, "I want to hear about you first... if you don't mind, that is."

Brinley didn't mind at all. On a daily basis nobody could shut up the girl or her never ending fun facts, but today she was feeling a bit shy because of her new-ness to everything. "No, I don't mind... what'd you guys want to know?" she responded, her American accent flowing through her every word. Since she arrived to England she refused to admit she was the one with an accent; it wasn't her, it was them, with their posh accent and weird muggle slang. "I can answer all kinds of questions... well... almost any," she added.

Before Brinley could say anything else, another girl entered their compartment. She was very pretty, just like Aryia (yes, Brinley was jealous and suddenly feeling very self-conscious about her nerdy looks) and spoke to them, "Hi, I don't suppose that seat is free, is it?" It felt wrong to speak, so Brinley stayed quiet and looked at everyone else. She was clearly younger than them, and new, so she felt as if it wasn't right to answer the girl and speak for everyone else when she barely knew them herself.

Diego shrugged slightly at Ayria's insinuation. "I'm a head boy, yes. Am I like your sister? No... I'm more... loose on rules than she is," Diego stated as he put it the nicest way he could. It wasn't mean and it clearly came across that he wasn't trying to be mean. It was purely fact. People knew Myrra was a rule follower, a pretty strict one too, but people also usually knew that Diego was cool with breaking a few rules so long as they made sense and he could be a part of whatever was going on.

Diego clapped for Ethan softly, smiling at the feat he had acomplished in pretending to be asleep. "You had to be expecting that Aiden," Diego began before turning to face Ayria. "I say that because it's about time Slytherin wins. It's been too long in my opinion," Diego admitted, revealing that he did in fact have nothing else better than she might have expected.

"Besides, we have two seventh year keepers, a seventh year keeper, an amazing fifth year seeker, and more my friend. This year is going to certainly be interesting," Diego finished off as he sat back, listening to her summer. It sounded boring, even to Diego who preferred that kind of stuff. He had gone to Disneyland, the Disney park on the west coast of the United States with his family, and had an amazing time.

Diego turned his attention politely and interested into towards the girl everyone turned to, hoping she didn't get creeped out or nervous since Diego would have done that too, though nobody ever saw it.

Diego looked up when he heard the door open, finding Odette at the door. He gave her a smile, squishing against the door in order to allow the compartment to reach its maximum occupancy, by far. "Sure, we were hoping to break a record for the most people in a train compartment, you can be a part of it," Diego said with an easy smile and easy posture that as now pushed against the window.

When Brinley seemed a little at a loss for what to talk about, Diego spoke up. "How about what part of the states did you live in? I'm from New York," Diego explained as if saying where he was from would explain why he was curious about where Brinley was from. Diego kept his attention on Brinley, not having to pretend his interest was real, for it genuinely was.

"Whatever."

Ayria made a pouting face, but silently laughed afterwards. She wasn't sure if she was irritating Aiden or not, but either way, she was having fun, and that was all that mattered to her at the moment. She wouldn't get to have a lot of fun once they were at Hogwarts, so she planned to enjoy this while she could. Everyone here would hate her later, they'd hate her for everything she would have to do as a death eater, and Ayria accepted that. It was the price she would willingly pay to keep Myrra safe.

"I'm a head boy, yes. Am I like your sister? No... I'm more... loose on rules than she is,"

"Well that's a relief." Ayria chimed in a relieved tone, leaning her back against the wall, close to the door that led into their compartment so she could see and talk to everyone inside. She wanted to be able to talk to everyone properly, because she wouldn't get a lot of opportunities to do it again after she stepped foot at Hogwarts.

"No. Apparently I'm too much of a nerd and Ethan's too weird to date any pretty girl we like. As embarrassing as it sounds, both of us have never been on dates before."

"Really? I never would have guessed." She asked, genuinely astonished by this. She really didn't know, but that could have been because of her secret 'extracurricular' activities. Her teasing expression dialed down a bit, and she began playing with hidden strands of hair at the base of her neck. So she shot everyone a smile, "Don't take me seriously guys. I'm just messing around." She made sure to assure them, because she knew some people often took her the wrong way. She wasn't trying to bully anyone, she was just poking fun and trying to have a good time.

"Don't tell everybody that! And you wonder why we can't get any girls. You big freaking doof."

Ayria's eyes widened a bit, and she immediately burst into laughter. She couldn't help it. These two were TOTALLY out of sync, and it was just tear jerking to watch them together. She finally got control of herself, wiping her eyes. This was not how she expected the train ride to go, and to be honest, she was pleasantly surprised. This was something she could get used to, she wouldn't let herself, but she totally could if her life had played out a bit differently.

"You had to be expecting that Aiden."

"Wait. You're awake?"

"Yes, Aiden. I've been awake for the past twenty minutes. I couldn't go to sleep over all your gibbering."

"Just, shut up and go back to sleep."

"If you two stop bickering like husband and wife, I'll go on a date with Ethan for helping wake him up. Singular. Perhaps I can talk Myrra into a double date." The words came out of her mouth before she even realized it. She kept it hidden from her face, but she was immediately shocked with herself. She couldn't let things get serious, or she'd risk getting him, and possibly Aiden as well, in a lot of unnecessary danger. Not to mention, Myrra would kill her. Myrra had never been on a date either, and now her big mouth signed her up for one without her knowledge. Now. I'm. Dead. Oh well, at least I won't have to continue living a lie if she kills me~ Ayria on the other hand, dated quite frequently before she became a death eater, but she'd never had an actual boyfriend result out of it. She was a bit of a wild card, and was bored very easily. While she'd never dated anyone in the compartment, she had to count how many boys she'd dated on two hands. Although she wasn't very forward, she didn't do anything risque with her boyfriends, it was all innocent fun and games. She wasn't serious enough to get seriously involved with anyone.

"I say that because it's about time Slytherin wins. It's been too long in my opinion,"

"Fair enough.. but Seriously!?" She groaned in feigned agony, although she was over it within a few moments. She really was hoping that they had something up their sleeve. She wanted the competition to be tough this year, she'd kill for a good season. This was their last year, their last chance to make their classmates remember their names. Though, she was certain if this attack went the way that it should, no one would forget her name anyway. The word 'traitor' would be glued next to her picture for the next one hundred years, but no one else on the teams could make a name for themselves at Hogwarts if they didn't put their entire heart into the game either, "You can't get my blood racing for kicks, that's not funny." She liked Quidditch, it kept her mind off the dark path she'd chosen, and made her just feel like a Hogwarts kid for once.. even though she knew she didn't deserve to feel normal, not even for a second.

"Besides, we have two seventh year keepers, a seventh year keeper, an amazing fifth year seeker, and more my friend. This year is going to certainly be interesting,"

"Well, at the least I know we're going to have an awesome finale. Aiden, I think Ravenclaw is going to be in trouble this year." Ayria teased, considering Ethan, Odette, and herself were all on the Hufflepuff team. His own brother, plus Odette may have looked girly and cute, but she was one hell of a seeker. She wouldn't go easy on them, at all. If Ayria remembered correctly, a lot of people underestimated Odette in the beginning, when she first joined the Quidditch team, including Ayria. Odette was half the reason she signed up. She'd never played before, but after watching Odette try out, Ayria went out on a limb that same season and found out she was pretty good at guarding the goals.

"No, I don't mind... what'd you guys want to know?"

Ayria instantly noted the accent, but she wasn't certain where it was from so she kept quiet about it. She was about to ask where she transferred from, but was immediately cut off by Diego. Though it was definitely a good thing in the end. He obviously was picking up more on this girl than she was, and her questions would have made her sound pretty stupid compared to him.

"How about what part of the states did you live in? I'm from New York,"

Nice save.. Ayria thought to herself, though she doubted Diego purposely saved her from making a fool out of herself. However, she was kind of glad that he did. She didn't even realize this girl was American, so it goes to show how little Ayria got to travel.

"Hi, I don't suppose that seat is free, is it?"

Immediately a grin formed on Ayria's face and she scooted over closer to Ethan and Aiden so Odette could fit, "Yeah, of course. We're having an unofficial Quidditch meeting and a Get-to-know party all at the same time. It's like speed dating, only more complicated." She informed Odette. She wasn't exactly close to her, but she was the captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, and she did have a lot of respect for this girl.

"Sure, we were hoping to break a record for the most people in a train compartment, you can be a part of it,"

She couldn't help but wonder how Myrra was doing, but she figured that her sister was alright. Myrra was good at being alone or mingling with crowds.. Myrra was adaptable. Her sister was strong, and smart.. everything she herself was not. Making sure not to spoil the mood, Ayria smiled, and began listening to the group.

Myrra closed her eyes when Kai left the compartment, leaving her by herself. She had a bad feeling the entire time they were studying, but she didn't say anything. Her stomach was in knots of guilt, but at the time she didn't even care. Why was that? Usually she always took consequences into account.. There were plenty of people she could have hung out with, yet she chose to be alone with Kai. She had no real reason, she just wanted to hang out with him....right? She had to accept her actions, and try to never make a reckless decision like that again.. but she didn't really make the best decisions around Kai. She would put off her own homework to help him with his, even though she'd never do that with anyone else. She was highly competitive and believed in sink or swim, but she didn't mind throwing him a figurative life raft. What made him so different? Why was he an exception to her competitive nature?

Perhaps McKenna would let it go if I tried to get a boyfriend? But who? She tried to wrack her brain, laying back on the seat, staring at the ceiling as the train continued on. She'd never considered getting one up until now, so she hadn't put a lot of thought into it. She only had a couple of guy friends; Kai, Kris, Ethan, and Aiden. She couldn't date Kris, that would be like dating her own brother. Being close to Kai was the entire problem, so that wouldn't fix anything... and she wasn't that close to Ethan or Aiden. Aiden was the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain, but it almost felt like a betrayal to Kai if she went for him. She spent so much time talking to him about Quidditch that she nearly forgot he was the captain of an opposing team. Ethan was in Ayria's house so he was off limits until she asked Ayria, but she didn't feel comfortable telling her sister anything about this. There were other attractive guys in her own house, but she didn't know them very well and she couldn't just walk up to someone and ask them out. That'd be weird..

I need to come up with something, but I guess dating someone just to be able to be unrestricted friends with Kai is a bad idea.. I won't do that. I can't let myself get in the middle of Kai and McKenna, but I can't force myself to date someone on their account.. but I also want to be friends with Kai without her worrying that I'm trying to steal him. I'm not.. sure, things get awkward, but it's just because I've known him for so long. Myrra thought to herself, taking a book out of her bag and began reading it. It was the last one on her bucket list and she might as well finish it since she had no one to keep her occupied. She always did her best thinking while reading, anyhow. She was constantly reading when she wasn't sleeping, doing her duties as Head Girl, or hanging out with others. If I keep going at this rate, I am going to have to get all of my book fixes out of the restricted section.. It's so risky though, I know I am going to get caught if I keep this up.. I've got to find another way to get my hands on strange and rare books.

Now her whole mind was foggy, and she was in a bit of a mood. If she knew this would have happened, she would have just followed Ayria to where ever she ran off to. Well this blows, I sure know how to kick the year off with a bang.

Brinley was glad Diego spoke up after letting the other girl sit inside their compartment, and continued with their conversation. "How about what part of the states did you live in? I'm from New York," he asked Brinley. She had gone to New York quite a few times with her parents since her mother was a huge Broadway fan and loved the musicals and plays they had there. "New York's an amazing place, a little too crowded, but still pretty cool," she added first. Brinley did not like crowded places or being around huge groups of people; that's basically one of the main reasons why she never went to parties, another reason being that she was never invited. "I was born in Fresno, California, but I've lived in Phoenix, Arizona since I was three. That pretty much explains why I'm not fond of the cold and cloudy weather here."

She was too used to Phoenix's hot and dry weather. It was pool party season pretty much all year round, and moving to England had been a drastic change. Here, she barely saw the sun and it rained almost every day. Brinley wasn't really complaining since she had already fallen in love with the forests and green vegetation, which was what Phoenix lacked greatly, but she did miss bathing in the sun and wearing tank tops.

Annie was always in a very good mood. At heart she loved the thought of things being back at school. She was on the train but couldn’t find the rest of the teachers. She was too good of a mood to spoil anything. She looked around at all the students. When she seen the lady with the trolley she walked over to her and bought some “Bernie Beans” of every flavour and bought a few helpings. She loved these things and they made her happy.

When she was there she heard a voice say her name. She walked to where she had heard the voice. She looked and saw that it was Professor Blackwood. She sat down and took a few of Bernie Beans and ate them in handfuls. She liked mixing flavours sometimes. She looked at him and smiled. “Hello, Professor Blackwood. I had a hard time finding you guys so I just sat down somewhere. How are you?” Lately she had been mixing things up more and she had no idea why.

But she was always busy with stuff so forgetting small things here and there wasn’t all that bad. She smiled at him. “What have you been up too?” She asked him with a smile. She liked the other teachers but Professor Blackwood was one of her favourites. And maybe her Favourite.

George was so upset with his life lately.

And so disappointed it turned out the way it turned out. He loved Hogwarts and now he had to ruin it all because he became a death eater on a stupid drunk bet. And now he was stuck with that for the rest of his life. He knew there was another girl in Hogwarts that was kind of in the same situation.

Her name was Ayria she was beautiful and personally he had a super big crush on her. He totally wanted them to go out but as things go he didn’t know how to ask her. If he even could. He wanted to talk with her far from the least. She he decided to give it a try on the train and call out her name. “Ayria!” Was all that escaped he didn’t know if he remembered her or even knew who he was. Even though they had potions together last year.

"I was born in Fresno, California, but I've lived in Phoenix, Arizona since I was three. That pretty much explains why I'm not fond of the cold and cloudy weather here."

Ayria couldn't help but laugh at this. She didn't even realize that this region was considered cold, but that was probably due to her lack of traveling. She'd never experienced other climates, so she decided to take this girl's word for it. She kept a kind smile on her face, deciding she'd spoke enough for a while, and would let everyone else take over. Besides, after blurting out that she'd go on a date with Ethan, she really didn't trust her mouth to work on it's own. It was definitely working against her today and she would plan out her next words very wisely to avoid another awkward situation.

"So, what house are you going to be in..?" Ayria asked with a bit of curiosity, seeing as she didn't see anyone dressed in their robes aside from Diego. Speaking of... She quickly stood, standing on her tiptoes to reach into her bag over their heads and retrieved her own uniform and robe.

"Hold that thought." She stated to Brinley, raising a single finger in the air, giving the girl an apologetic glance. She really hated asking a question only to have to leave. She really was enjoying the conversation(s?) that took place. Though, she knew that she'd forget if she didn't change her clothes now, "I accidentally reminded myself that I need to go change first. I'll be back soon." She winked to the group, then turned her attention directly to Brinley. She would definitely return, because this new girl was interesting and definitely seemed to attract a crowd. There would be no harm making female friends, at least none that she could think of at the time, "It was nice meeting you. Sorry to leave on my own question." She chimed in a sheepish nature, a bit embarrassed by her scatterbrained behavior.

Ayria needed to find a nice spot to change as well, because she wasn't sure, but she assumed the trip wouldn't last much longer and she didn't want to be caught unprepared. The last thing she wanted was to be caught out of school attire on her first day of her last year. Breaking the dress code was a serious punishment, and she didn't feel like meeting with the headmaster this early into the year.

“Ayria!”

Before she left the compartment, a voice rung out, one she was vaguely familiar with. She wasn't really sure who it belonged to from this distance, but she laughed nervously, "I guess I'm popular today." She shook her head, and left the compartment, closing the door behind her quietly. She couldn't see much because the Trolly lady was surrounded by students, so she slipped into a changing room and came out in her Hufflepuff robes. She continued toward the direction of the voice, only for her eyes to land on a slightly familiar face.

She'd seen him around before, but she wasn't sure where, nor did she wish to insult him, "Did you call for me? She asked with unfiltered curiosity, her chocolate brown eyes examining George as she awaited a response. The guy had a charming face, distinctive and memorable, but as far as his name went, she was at a loss. She'd seen this guy in class before, but aside from that she didn't remember much about him.

He remembered my name? I wonder what he wants.. She thought to herself, almost bouncing out of her skin in curiosity, but she did her best to contain herself. She didn't want to scare him after all.. because what if he wasn't the one who called out to her at all? That would be embarrassing.

Myrra put her book away once she'd finished it and left the compartment to change into her robes, proudly displaying her Head Girl badge on her robes. She began walking through the corridor, reminding students to change into their robes. Though she came in to one and noticed quite a few familiar faces, "I advise everyone to change into their robes soon. It's better to be dressed properly before the train makes it to Hogwarts." she stated to Ethan, Aiden, Odette, Diego, and Brinley. Although, Diego was already dressed in his robes. Myrra hung in the doorway, lingering around and began to nervously bite her bottom lip. She didn't want to continue on, seeing as eventually she would run into McKenna and Kai, and that was the last place she needed to end up at the moment.

Her eyes landed on Brinley again, and she tilted her head. This girl was definitely new, so she entered and sat down where Ayria once sat, unaware that her sister had been in here mere minutes before, "Oh, hello. I don't believe that we've met. I'm Myrra Blake, what is your name?" She asked in a very cheerful and formal tone. She was the bright and goody-two-shoes sibling by far..

Her eyes shifted to the guys, then Odette. There were a lot of Quidditch players in here, almost all of them from different teams. How was this compartment still in a solid piece? Most Quidditch players from opposing teams couldn't stand the sight of each other, though, if that were always true, then McKenna and Kai would not be dating... so there were always exceptions.

Diego nodded his agreement to Ayria's teasing towards Aiden. So many quidditch players in one room. Diego knew most of his friends would have made a comment about how he was single upon hearing Ayria mention speed dating, but refrained, not wanting to do something so... unlike him.

Diego smiled and nodded at Brinley, trying to come across as one who was actually happy for her, as he really was. "Fresno and Phoenix. I've been there once or twice, Fresno, that is. That does make sense, I always hated leaving California after visiting family," Diego stated with a knowing nod. "I, I am a New Yorker. I'm used to Britain's weather since the winter in NYC is just like here. Year round though," Diego stated with a nod, as if it explained the meaning of a lot of things rather than just why he was okay with Britain's weather.

Diego saw George Bardla as he called to Ayria. It was pretty obvious to him what his feelings towards the Hufflepuff girl was. Diego didn't say anything though, knowing it was kind of against the guy code. His old "friends" in middle school in the states always talked about the guy code, though he never really knew what they were truly talking about. So instead of giving anything away, Diego smiled, waved and turned to look out the window, ignoring the fact that their compartment was getting very full very quickly. Why did he have to be in the crowds that people liked to hang and interact with?

Diego looked around, observing the scene before looking to Brinley again, finding she was the safest bet at conversation. "So, are you a quidditch fan?" Diego asked, leaning forward to rest his elbows onto his knees to talk to her so the rest of the conversation could go over his head. He heard the candy cart outside and looked to the door, smiling and thinking about what he might want before shaking his head inwardly, deciding against it.

Diego was the first to reply, not that that surprised Odette in the slightest, adn she returned the smile, laughing slightly as the nervousness that she'd be a bother almost immediately faded into nothingness. "Sure, we were hoping to break a record for the most people in a train compartment, you can be a part of it." Slipping into the free seat, Odette took in her neighbours, her eyebrows rising in an intrigued expression when her fellow Quidditch-er, Ayria, replied, "Yeah, of course. We're having an unofficial Quidditch meeting and a Get-to-know party all at the same time. It's like speed dating, only more complicated." "Consider my interest piqued."
As the group babbled amongst themselves, Odette noted the presence of a girl's whose face she did not recognise, and who, as she spoke, revealed an American twang in her words. Of course, 'American accent' was a pretty loose description, considering the vast mass of accents that stirred in the good, old, US of A, but Odette had never been all that good at pinpointing accents, so she'd probably just describe it as the 'not hill-billy one'.

It was easy to note Diego's fascination with what the girl was saying, and Odette smiled a small, knowing smile to herself before quickly slipping in, "Uh, I think I missed introductions. I'm Odette, by the way." When Diego asked another question, "So, are you a quidditch fan?" She leant in slightly to the stranger, giving her a jokingly warning gaze, gesturing to Diego with a swirling cuckoo gesture and speaking in a hushed tone, "Be careful how you answer that."

Seeing something in the corner of her eye, Odette turned to the door, and startled slightly before her face turned to a narrow-eyed glare, scoffing slightly, reluctantly amused by the contorted faces that none other than her personal rival, Kris Grayson, performed so miraculously. With a sneer, she jutted out her own tongue, and started to rise, only to feel the train beginning to slow. To no one in particular, she said, "Oh. Looks like we're here."

Gryffindor Head Girl Muggleborn
Transfer from Fukuoka Daiichi
Seventh Year Dialogue Color Code: #800000
Location: Hogwarts Express Compartment//Hogwarts
ImageOnce the train stopped, she made her way out of the compartment and trailed her way off the train, following behind everyone else. Once she stepped into the castle, she seemed a bit confused as she stood there at the dining hall. The red head glanced up at the headmaster who was currently standing behind a podium, waiting for all of the housed students to take a seat at their house tables. Acacia had a questioned look on her face as she looked to him and he pointed towards the Gryffindor table. She gave him a soft smile and bowed her head at him, thanking him for his help.

The red head sat down at the Gryffindor table, feeling every eye on her. She hated this feeling though she knew most of the attention would be focused to the first years...well, at least that's what she hoped. The female sat there in silence, trying her best not too look terrified about her new year here at Hogwarts. Mainly because she didn't want to end up being picked on about it. Which in a way she had a feeling it was coming, especially since she was a muggleborn.

Everything about this castle seemed very different from her school back in Asia. The ceiling made it look like they were sitting outside and there were floating candles, which gave the room light. It was magnificent. Even though she knew she had drama coming her way, she had a feeling she was going to enjoy her first and last year at this school.

Dialogue Color Code: #9F000F

ImageWhen Adriel climbed off his boat, he waited for all the first years to once again stand around him and lead them into the castle, upon the steps in front of the large dining room. When all of the students were standing there, with their full attention on him, that's when he gave his speech about the houses.

"When we step through these doors, I want you to follow me. You will be placed into your houses. There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. At the end of the year, the house awarded the most points wins the house cup. Any behavior issues, etc. will cause your house to have points taken away. Now, follow behind me," Adriel explained before turning on his heels and leading the first years into the dining area.

Once all of the first years were placed in their houses and seated, Adriel set the Sorting Hat down on the chair and took a seat at the Professor's table between Annie Barfield and Dillion McQueen, the place he always sits every year.

The headmaster stepped back up to the podium and began speaking to the students. "Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. I am Headmaster Alastair Black. I will warn you, the Dark Forest is strictly forbidden to all students. If we find out you have been in the forest, you will be punished," with that he clapped his hands, causing a feast to appear upon all tables and spoke, "Now, let the feast begin."

Hufflepuff Half Blood Sixth Year
Dialogue Color Code: seagreen
Location: Hogwarts Express Compartment//Hogwarts
ImageNico gave McKenna a soft smile when she placed her hand upon his, "I'm sorry your summer was boring and thanks for the concern as well. Though I'll definitely wait for you when I get off the train," he stated then watched as his ex and his current crush stepped out of the compartment and trailed her way back to Kai, which he knew she was doing. Honestly he couldn't see why she was even with him. Yes, Kai may have been attractive but there wasn't a single other thing about him that he could seem to pick up on that would cause McKenna to be with that guy.

Sighing he stood to his feet when the train stopped and made his way off the train before standing there, waiting for McKenna. The only thing he hated about this was the simple fact that Kai might end up being at her side. He needed to play nice for her, at least in front of Kenna. If he were to get into trouble with Kai, Nico would so much rather for it to be unknown to McKenna and he hoped Kai was the same way.

Nico hoped that once he made it to the dining hall, he would be able to talk to Ethan. Ethan was his best friend in Hufflepuff, well honestly one of the only Hufflepuff's he seemed to honestly care for. Though this year, he was trying to get his outlook on speaking to other people changed, maybe even speak to Odette, Ayria, and Olira and possibly become friends with them as well. But honestly, he didn't see that it would ever happen. Nico always seemed to be too quiet around everyone besides McKenna and Ethan. Well, Kai as well. Though that Gryffindor always seemed to find a way to get on his nerves, whether he did it on purpose or accidentally. But whenever he had the chance he always seemed to give him a rude comment.

Diego raised his eyebrows in response to Odette as he gave a smile. "Sorry, Odette, but can't you see my passion in all of this," Diego asked as he leaned on her obnoxiously. It was obvious it was done in a friendly manner. Odette was very pretty, but Diego didn't really know if he felt "like that" towards her.

"However, Brinley, Odette is entirely correct about that," Diego stated as he looked to her before sitting up. Diego looked to where Odette looked, seeing Kris Grayson. Diego wasn't entirely sure what their relationship was, but knew if there was something, him leaning on Odette wouldn't come across as anything. The two were just friends. If anything, people thought Diego had a crush on Julianne Hough, a pretty American dancer who he kept a picture of in his wallet.

"Hi Kris," Diego stated with a friendly wave. As the train stopped, Diego stood, exiting with everyone else. He got in a carriage with the people around him, then upon reaching the castle, exited to go to his Slytherin table. He sat kind of a third of the way back, not too far from McKenna and his other quidditch friends. He enjoyed his meal, catching a wink from a friend down the table and wondering what he was planning since the fellow was a troublemaker that was friends with Diego.

Diego's favorite on the table was something that tasted like pizza rolls that he used to eat obsessively from America. It was delicious. He wasn't even really sure what it was, only that it tasted amazing. It was what dominated his plate most of the time. "Diego, how are the twins?" One of Diego's friends asked with a smile. He had visited Diego over the summer once where he had met the twins. "Amazing, they both just learned their first spell by looking it up in an old book. They're going to be Ravenclaw for sure at this rate," Diego replied with a fake sigh that caused a couple kids to laugh.

To say that Chasity Rumble was late, was quite the understatement. She'd missed the train to Hogwarts in the first place, because of her slum of an alcoholic uncle. She then had to find another way there, and let's just say it's harder than it seems, completely. But, she was gifted with the fact that she could pack lightly, and only carried a leather, strapped book bag on her shoulders, which also held her wand.

The fact that her parents were murdered, believed to be by Hogwarts graduates, Chasity felt no remorse as she clutched the leather straps on her book bag, stepping onto the campus of the magical place. Her inner self was vibrant, and she smiled, as she treaded her way to where everyone seemed to be. The Dining Room.

Headmaster Alastair Black seemed to notice her late entrance, but she nodded towards him, and he looked the other way, the food on the tables smelling delicious. She slipped her way into a table, and filled her plate with potatoes, meat, and some fruit, for a good balanced meal. She sighed as she remembered the rumors seeming to circle her head.

There was another transfer from Fukuoka Daiichi here. "Maybe she's Gryffindor too." Chasity mentally noted, and leaned her chin on the palm of her hand as she stabbed at the meat. Hopefully... she could find the Death Eaters here soon. She didn't like feeling outcast without at least knowing her like race was around... somewhere.

Slytherin Pure Blood
Transfer from Sarina Dorie (France)
Seventh Year Dialogue Color Code: #7300ff
Location: Hogwarts Dining Room
ImageTo say Katerina didn't even want to be at Hogwarts was an understatement. She purposely got thrown out of Sarina Dorie in hopes that she wouldn't have to step into another school again, which apparently didn't work out the way she wanted to. Apparently the ministry put her on probation and she wouldn't be off until she finished her last year. In hopes that her attitude would change, the ministry demanded that Katerina be accepted into Hogwarts.

The eighteen year old stepped into the building carrying a lit cigarette between her fingers. Though the second she stepped through the door, she just stood there, glancing over at everyone. Before taking the last puff from her cigarette she died it out upon her boot and proceeded to the Slytherin table. Katerina hadn't even been dressed in her robes. She wore a leather dress that stopped just above her knee with ankle boots with a pair of sunglasses upon the top of her head and bright red lipstick.

As she made her way through the dining room, her heels clicked behind her with every step and she could feel the eyes of many of the students upon her, though honestly she didn't care in the slightest. The French transfer finally sat down at the Slytherin table and started to grab some food. Without a word she glanced around at the others. "What a drag," she mumbled to herself in her French accent.

If it weren't for the ministry dropping her off at this school to begin with, she honestly wouldn't have even arrived. If it were up to her, she'd of been in Hawaii right now, away from all of these losers. The female smirked to herself when she noticed a fellow Slytherin who looked about her age sitting just a few places down from her. That male was extremely attractive. With his gorgeous blonde curls with the messy look and his astonishing blue hues, Katerina suddenly found her interest in Hogwarts piqued.

The brunette then glanced up at the professors who were eating their dinner at the front of the dining room and suddenly another wicked smirk plastered to her face. Professor McQueen suddenly stroke her interest. McQueen was talked about all the time around the other wizarding schools, if nobody knew who he was they definitely had something wrong with them. From what she heard, McQueen was the best Charms professor in the world. Not only that, but he was extremely attractive. The female bit her bottom lip a bit as she began glancing back and forth from Professor McQueen and her fellow Slytherin, hoping that she would eventually be able to pique some sort of interest from them.

Alastair stood up upon the conclusion of dessert and smiled at the students before him. He raised his hands and upon the noise receding, spoke. "Witches and Wizards, as you may have heard, we will be celebrating this year, the anniversary of Hogwarts yet again as arrived to us. In order to celebrate it, we shall be hosting a Yule ball within the week for the eldest of the students. The day has yet to be decided yet it shall be announced as soon as it is known to me and your teachers."

Alastair paused as the students' voices raised until he quieted them again by raising one hand. He continued, "The ball shall be at night and hosted here in the Great Hall. The occasion is formal and in consideration of the fact that students might not have the needed formalities, students will be permitted to visit Hogsmeade in order to purchase or order the needed formalities, though we will be going by the years. In order to be able to go, you must be at least a fourth year. One through three, you shall be allowed to instead have a smaller celebration in the courtyard though you will not be permitted within, elder students will be permitted outside." Alastair saw the looks of the students, but certainly didn't mind.

"As you prepare for this ball, remember to be respectful and have fun. You are going to be expected to do at least one dance though we will not expect too much from you with this considering not all of you have been formally trained. Finally, this Yule ball is not a normal ball... Witches and wizards, I have received requests and have decided to allow this ball to be a masquerade ball. You shall be given the opportunity to create a professional style mask within your spare time and have all the needed supplies provided. You need only draw a sketch or discover a picture and we shall have the masks made," Alastair concluded before giving a nod and a flourish of his hand to signal the students were allowed to go as they pleased, then resumed his seat.

Brooklyn missed the train, not because she hadn't been there on time, but because she had already been at Hogwarts. She had been out skating during the day on the lake below the castle, enjoying herself and laughing when she fell onto the hard ice. Her "adoptive" parents had dropped her off early that day since they had a meeting with Alastair, the headmaster of the school. Brooklyn hadn't minded missing the train, she hadn't been sad nor happy for she was getting to skate.

Brooklyn had gone back to her room to put her things away before taking a slight nap. She had woken up only minutes before the big announcement Alastair had to make to the school. She rushed downstairs, hearing the loud thrum of people inside and walking in late. She ducked under the glances that came to her, going to sit at the edge of the Gryffindor table. She received a wave and smile from Kai Bolton, the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, and one of her few friends.

She waved back, giving him a smile before filling her plate and eating a little bit. She was not entirely hungry, but she ate, knowing that if she didn't she wouldn't be happy with herself in the morning. She did love food, even if she didn't eat it all the time. She just wasn't hungry all the time and couldn't help the fact.

Brooklyn looked up in time to see the announcement made by the headmaster as he spoke loudly and clearly. She couldn't wait. She really couldn't. This meant that there would be a dance and she would know what to do... but she wouldn't. They wouldn't be playing the kind of music she danced to. The only way she would be able to dance the way she likes to would be if there was a partner that could do the same things she could do and she had yet to meet a boy at Hogwarts who could. She had yet to understand magic entirely too!

She probably wouldn't have a date and though she was not happy about it, she resigned herself to it. How could she not? What else was she to do? She might just show up, dance a little bit in the corner, then leave and go back to her room or down to the lake to skate in whatever dress she ends up wearing to the ball. She sighed inwardly, wanting to pretend to herself that she might get asked by someone. She didn't understand why people seemed to think she wasn't nice, or friendly. She was, once you knew her... She sighed again, and continued to eat her food, then her dessert rather desolately.

By the time dinner ended, Brooklyn stood, walking at a regular pace back to the Gryffindor dorms. The majority of the crowd thrummed around her and though she was fine with it, she didn't laugh and join into the banter, not even when someone called out her name that she had talked to the year before once. She instead waved back and smiled, but didn't stop walking, instead turning down the less used path to take the long way to the Gryffindor dorms in order to avoid the major crowds so people wouldn't look at her strangely.

Brooklyn didn't look where she was going when she rounded the corner to go up the stairs towards her dorms.

Brooklyn bumped into a girl she didn't recognize, falling back to land on her butt. It was embarrassing, sure, but she didn't really care all that much. If this girl was in such a hurry or got hurt too, Brooklyn understood. She did appear apologetic at first, then she was "salty" as she had heard some students describe the response as.

She stood, looking as the headmaster appeared and told her she could go. She gave a small encouraging smile to the other girl, a tiny wave, then left. She didn't mind that the girl didn't seem very nice. She must have had a reason. Brooklyn continued walking, finding herself going slowly as she looked at the school she enjoyed.

She gave little waves to the paintings that recognized her. Some people and paintings believed her to be mute, people only heard her speak during class, when she was called on. For Brooklyn didn't often have questions. She saw one of her fellow Gryffindors, Kai Bolton, yet again as he walked, looking frustrated and tired.

She didn't speak up, instead, putting a hand on his shoulder and giving him a smile which he returned with a smile. "Thanks Brook," He said before Brooklyn allowed him to go on his way.

She enjoyed just listening and believed actions spoke louder than words, so why bother with words in the first place? She saw McKenna Posey and gave a little wave and smile as she continued walking. She wasn't really sure where she was going, but she found that wandering was making her happy.

Perhaps she'd go to her favorite room, an old room that might have served as an area for physical exercise, where she could practice gymnastics or dance. Both would allow her to feel better.

Brooklyn caught sight of Quentin Pine and and actually approached him instead of going back to her room to get her dance stuff. The students had at least another hour before lights out, so she wanted to spend time with the people she hadn't seen for a while.

"Hey Quentin," Brooklyn said softly, her voice might have been a breeze if she hadn't been facing the Ravenclaw boy. "Did you have a great summer?" Brooklyn asked. She felt herself get nervous and brushed it off, figuring that it was because it was the first time she had spoken to anybody that day other than her "adoptive" parents.

She said "adoptive" because of the fact that she had only been taken in to be taken out of the muggle world. They cared for her, but not in a motherly and fatherly way, in a way that depicted them doing the basics while being nice people about it. She looked at them more so as friends than parents. Which wasn't a problem with her really, or her parent like friends, for they knew she knew why she was taken in and didn't even bother trying to hide it.

She thought of herself as alone and so long as she had the friends that managed to see her friendly side as well as her friendly parentlike figures, she would be fine.
