a character in “The Wolves of the Alterean Forest”, as played by ~~Shadow~~

Description

Name: Alexander Myers
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Pack: Shadow
Position: Pack Member
Human Appearance: Dominic has dark brown hair and bright, piercing blue eyes. He loves to wear a necklace make of rope with three claws on it.
Image
Wolf Appearance: As a wolf his has light brown fur and, strangely enough, greenish eyes. The necklace he wears as a human is also on him as a wolf.
Image
Personality: Dominic is usually pretty serious, particularly when it comes to anything to do with his pack. He is fiercely loyal to the pack and would willingly die to protect them. He will never back down when it comes to a fight. Dominic is very strong and pretty tough, and is a pretty high-ranked Pack member. He does have a bit of a temper and just about no patience whatsoever; mainly towards Omegas.
History: Dominic was born to a previous Beta and pack member in training. He had a younger sister, but she was born unhealthy and died before her first birthday. Though he never knew her too well, he feels the devastation it had on his family. To him, family is the one of the most important things, alongside Trust, Loyalty and of course the pack.
Mate: not yet, but he's looking. ;)
Family: A mother and father, younger sister (deceased)
Other: mmm..nope.

So begins...

Heaven-leigh, Shadow Pack

Heaven-Leigh ran from her brother in wolf form. She needed to clear her head; away from the dead wolf. The wolf had been so young...just barely a pack member in training. Her heart squeezed when she thought of him. It was know that she re-felt her feelings of affection toward him...if only she had told him sooner.

Now she could hear her pulse in her head, and billows of cloud came form her nose as breathed heavily. One thought buzzed around her head like a bee in spring: revenge. The thought was so sweet. The damned snow pack needed to learn their lesson! She was done with sitting by, and being told she was too young. Heaven-Leigh rose to her paws and streaked off into the woods. Before long she caught the scent of a deer from the wind. She turned sharply, and nearly collided into it. Maybe she could prove herself this way?? Heaven-Leigh continued to chase it for ten minutes. She was so very close, she was right on its tail! That was when she noticed her surroundings. The scent wafted to her; this was Snow pack territory! Before she had a chance to react, she continued over the border. What if I'm caught???!!! she thought horrified. Heaven-Leigh didn't care. She kept on chasing the deer until-Crunch! She leaped on it and clamped her jaws round its neck. Proud of herself, Heaven-Leigh smiled, but quickly pulled herself and her catch back across the border to the Shadow Pack side. Please tell me no one saw me! She thought, full of worry. In an attempt to disguise her scent, she kicked leaves over her trail. If the Snow pack found Shadow Pack scent on their borders... she couldn't even think about it.

She continued dragging the deer until she crossed into camp. She let out a little yip and sent out a telepathic message: I got dinner!
Of course she let Pack members, betas, and the Alpha before herself. Heaven-Leigh did bark at an Omega who came over before diving in. Delicious....

Alexander, Shadow Pack
Alexander was patrolling the border with Ransyr (if that's okay) when he detected Karu's scent. It was mixed with the scent of sadness.
He flicked his tail, signaling Ransyr to return to camp and that the patrol was done. See you later he said telepathically.

Alexander walked up the hill, and found Karu sitting criss-cross in human form. He shifted to human form as well and sat beside her. "How are you doing, Karu?" Her bleak, tear stained face mixed with upset and rage told him everything. "Not well? Me neither. I can't believe snow clan could be so wicked as to kill a young wolf, who was alone. It's outraging!" He picked up a rock and threw it down the hill.

"I can't help but think we need to... do something about this. I don't know if war would be quite right, but we should at least attack them, right? I would be ready to charge in to battle now if the order was given."

He took a second and looked off into the view. "It's beautiful, isn't it Karu? I've never quite seen such a view." He put his hand lightly on Karu's arm. "Well, it's not quite as beautiful as you are..." Alexander shifted and headed back to camp before Karu could respond. Am I crazy?! he thought, his stomach twisting in knots. He knew he wasn't; he had known Karu for years, but never really ever truly expressed his feelings. Now that war was coming, he knew he had to say something, before the risk of one of them dying was posed. I just hope she feels the same way is all he could think as he headed back into camp and enjoyed some of the deer, apparently caught solely Heaven-Leigh.

Ransyr, Shadow Pack

Ransyr was patrolling with Alexander when they came upon Karu's scent. From the freshness of it he could tell that she was nearby but far enough away from the camp for privacy. He stood next to Alexander looking at their surroundings and double-checking that all was well in this area even though it was well within the pack's territory. But at the other male's signal, Ransyr nodded and trotted off back towards the camp, his form disappearing into the foliage.

His mind returned to earlier that day when it was discovered that one of their own had been killed. No...murdered. The Snow Pack had done it without a doubt, but the question was: Who in the Snow Pack killed the wolf? Did the Alpha do it? The Beta? Or even one of the warriors? Individual scents were usually easy to pick up on but considering the murderer was a member of the Snow Pack, there was no way they would allow for someone from the Shadow Pack to come over and sniff out the killer. So their only other option was to decimate the Snow Pack entirely. That is if Frost would order such an attack, but the Alpha wasn't rash like that. Besides, he'd let the rest of the pack know his decision soon enough.

It wasn't long before Ransyr finally returned to camp, pausing on the boundaries of it to check out the activity and see who was doing what. There was some of the usual day-to-day activity but there was a mixture of strong emotions in the air. He could smell it without any problem and most of those emotions were undoubtedly geared towards the death of the wolf that was now laying in the clearing in front of the Alpha's cabin. He stared at the wolf for a few minutes and then finally retreated to his own cabin to get some rest.

Frost, Shadow Pack

He couldn't believe it. He just couldn't believe it. A part of him wanted to believe that this was just a nightmare but he knew it wasn't. When Frost had first heard the news of someone having been killed by the Snow Pack he thought someone was just trying to play a sick joke on him. Unfortunately, he was wrong. And now he was staring at the wolf who had been killed, looking over the obvious evidence of blood and wounds made by another wolf. A mix of rage and sadness was swirling inside me and could be seen in his eyes, though he kept a tight control on those emotions knowing that the worst thing he could do was act on them.

Sighing heavily he looked to the pack's healer, Zenith, as she knelt beside the wolf to find a few answers. He wanted to know which of the wounds had been the cause of death or if it had just been general bloodloss all together. He also wanted to know if she'd be able to find any scraps of fur that weren't the same color as the dead wolf's since it'd help with finding the individual who'd killed him. The most important answer he wanted though was to know if the wolf was surely and truly dead and Zenith was the only one who could determine that without a doubt.

"Well..?" he asked when Zenith finally pulled her hands away and stood.

"He's dead.." she said, her voice choked with sadness. "I managed to find a single tuft of fur that is a different color. From what I can tell, it's a blend of white and black with a bit of gray. As for the cause of death..." Zenith paused to shut her eyes a moment so she could force back her own tears and take a deep, shaky breath. "His death was due to a few different things.. Blood loss did play a role but it appears that someone had also choked him by biting his neck.."

"I see.." Frost replied, keeping his voice quiet. For a few minutes he just stood there and stared at the dead wolf, thinking to himself on what to do next. When he was done he cleared his throat and looked back to the healer. "Thank you, Zenith. I will have him brought to you shortly so you can prepare our comrade's body for burial."

Zenith, Shadow Pack

As Zenith bowed her head to Frost the only thing that was going through her mind was...why? Why do the two packs have to constantly fight? Why couldn't they live in peace together? Why had the two packs gone into war in the first place? And yet none of those questions had answers since no one truly knew. It pained her to see any wolf in such a shape, no matter what pack they belonged to.

She left Frost standing next to the dead wolf, silently making her way back to her cabin and retreating inside. Once inside there was no more damming the river of tears that had built up and within seconds the flood gates flew open. Tears streaked down both sides of her face as she collapsed onto a nearby chair, all of her grief and sadness forcing its way out. It might not be appropriate for the healer to have an emotional breakdown but since she hated violence it was hard for her to see someone so badly injured without her tearing up some. Though it was obviously worse when someone died. But Zenith found it was easiest to get the harsh, jolting crying fit out of the way as soon as possible because even though the pain of losing someone was still there it didn't affect her as strongly.

So she cried, letting it all out until she couldn't anymore. Only then did she pick herself up and scrub her face with warm water and a washcloth. From there she began gathering whatever items she'd need to prepare the dead wolf's body for burial.

Karu, Shadow Pack.
Wow, you're quick!, Alexander said telepathically. I smiled. I always loved to run, I said telepathically. As Alex and I entered our territory, I saw a rabbit. I raced in and sunk my head in, eating the meat. It was delicious. I pulled out when I was done. The Rabbit was delicious... I licked my fur clean. It was stained with blood so I'd have to have a shower later... I yawned, trotting over to a log. I transformed to my human shape and sat on it. "Lets get a fire going..." I said, grabbing some wood and some rocks to spark a fire. I set up the fire and started to smash the rocks together, hoping for a spark. It took a couple tries but it finally blazed to life. I sat next to it and tended the fire.

Isabel, Shadow Pack.

I got dinner!. l sighed. "I'll be back." I whispered and I transformed. I dashes off and galloped through the trees. I loved the forest... The closeness of nature and I was amazing. I raced through the trees and dodged the obstacles. I broke through the brush and onto our territory. I skidded to a halt, sending dirt flying into the fire. I saw Karu shoot me a look. "Oops. Sorry!" I say. I see the pack are still eating so I walk over to a tree and wait. One of the bad sides of being an Omega. You eat last.

Frost, Shadow Pack

Frost stayed with the body for another few minutes after Zenith left before finally stepping away himself. He sighed and rubbed at his face as he made his way to the pack's communal cabin. It was where they occasionally gathered from time to time to discuss and address issues concerning the pack as a whole. For now, though, this was going to be a private meeting. Reaching the door he paused to look back at where the body lay to see Charlotte taking the body to Zenith so the healer could prepare it for burial.

"Betas, meet me in the commune immediately." He sent telepathically to Charlotte and Jax as he stepped all the way into the commune cabin and made his way to the back. Frost then shifted his mind to speak directly with Alexander. "Alexander, the Betas and I will be in a private meeting for a time in the commune. I want you to stand guard at the doors and keep everyone else out."

There was a large oak table there and it had been hand-made generations ago along with four matching chairs, each one designated to an Alpha or Beta. The two chairs for the Alphas were on the same side with the backs against the wall so they were facing the door to the cabin. The chairs for the Betas sat opposite from one another on either end of the table, the Beta Male on the Alpha Male's side and the Beta Female on the Alpha Female's side. Frost didn't take his seat though, instead opting to stand in front of the table with arms crossed at his chest and eyes shut as he thought to himself while waiting for the Betas to arrive.
