Supernatural Powers: Inexplicable luck: Don Quixote has been beaten time and time again by the 'villains' he challenges, partially due to to his old age and lack of any experience in combat. Despite this, he manages to survive within an inch of his life and ready to continue adventuring after said beatings. In addition to this, he has some supernatural force preventing him from disobeying his chivalrous code. His body also has extreme resistances to toxins and chemicals.
Triggers: Everything and anything can be a trigger for his delusional behavior as he makes excuses for a fork being a mighty sword, and how the doctors are ogres trying to poison him with 'the stupid' to make him unable to perform his duty.
Ideal Environment and Stimuli For Them: Playing into his delusions can help if they're worded and acted right. Simply telling him something is an enchantment from an evil wizard, or someone is their friend because a great king of another country said so could be enough to persuade him. On the other hand, if he's convinced of someone being a liar he will lash out violently.
Personality: Good for nothing 'noble' knight. Don Quixote believes himself to be a great hero inspired by the knights of old to participate in ridding the world of evil. Because of this, he has a very high view of not only himself but his chivalrous code and the exploits they lead him through. He holds those he sees as friends, allies, and 'those in distress' in high regard and wishes to help them no matter the cost. Despite this heroic attitude he often finds himself staring down the barrel of a gun.
History: Little is known about Alonso Quixano aside from his name and apparent occupation as a
Afterwards he traveled around with a companion he had met, a younger and more street-savvy bumpkin named "Sancho Panza". Sancho was being taken in as Quixote's squire so he says, and as quoted from him "He may not have been the brightest or most noble of individuals sometimes, but he had the heart of a lion and the bravery to boot." Sancho had previously been involved in gang activity, and it was big step up in the world to be working with the then-rich Don Quixote. Often the two squabbled with punks from the gangs leading to gunfights and brawls, usually ending with Sancho receiving a minor beating or Quixote narrowly avoiding death through some inexplicable reason[3]. Don Quixote has allegedly, according to him, slain many "evildoers" on his journeys alongside Sancho but whether or not he was attacking inanimate objects believing them to be people or if he had actually killed gang members is unknown.
Before arriving at the asylum, Quixote had lost Sancho in one of the gang fights that sparked "out of nowhere" he claims, yet research indicates he may have been flirting with one of the men's girlfriends which initially started the fight. It is unknown whether or not the gang members involved in the fight were killed or if Quixote escaped by the skin of his teeth again, yet it is known that when he lost Sancho he completely snapped and found himself on a new - vengeful quest. Ridding the world of all "black knights" which "seek to blot out the sky with their horses with ashen fur and eyes of flame".
([1]: It is possible he believes both of them to be real. [2]: His Knight-errant fantasy is strangely mixed with comic books he must have read in his youth prior, splicing together the 'heroic deeds' of super heroes while still wishing to be your everyday ordinary knight. [3]: It is thought that he may have skills which prevent him from dying such as advanced medical knowledge however this hasn't been proven or tested.)
Relationship to Other Inmates: Don Quixote thinks he's in it good with everyone except the doctors. He thus believes he is the hero that is meant to free the inmates from the 'slave drivers' which seek to inject them with the stupid toxins, which he believes he's been making himself resistant to by taking more doses than usual.
