a character in “The World of Aria”, as played by SugarPlum2

Description

Name:
Lilias Hayes

Age:
18

Gender:
Female

Appearance:
Lilia is 5'5 in height. Her skin tone is slightly pale, but a warm peach color. She has silky, long, straight back hair. Her eyes are a beautiful blue topaz color and her most attractive feature. She like to dress in the more lolita style of clothing. So you can always find her wearing something along the line of that.

Image

Likes:
Lilia absolutely loves to eat fruit; mainly strawberries, grapes, and watermelon. She really likes to draw outdoor scenery, but she does draw people occasionally and other things. Her favorite types of art are black and white sketches, painting, and pastels. She also enjoys taking pictures of nature and animals. She sing whenever she can, but only when she is alone. She likes to plays the piano, violin, and acoustic guitar. She adores reading a lot.

Dislikes:
Lilia is not a big fan of spiders. She very much dislikes thunder and lightning storms as well.

Personality:
Lilia is a girl who would be described as free spirited. She’s artistic, kind, caring, and outgoing. She is said to be one of those head-in-the-cloud-optimists. She’s naturally intelligent, independent, curious, socially-oriented, cooperative and communicative. She has the ability to step back from a situation and see it from different points of view, with neutrality. Lilia would be portrayed as sweet and fun-loving, always friendly, but sometimes quiet and shy. She’s a bit clumsy, though that’s because of her shyness. You can trust her with anything; she's a good friend to have.

History:
Lilia had a fairly good childhood, that is, up until she was 7. She was born, having the element of Air, from a mother of the Water element and a father of the Earth element. They lived in the outskirts of Komuna in a small cottage like house. Her father, Kayden, was an exceptional musician and her mother, Amelia, was a remarkable artist. Which Lilia ended inheriting both her parent’s talent. Her parents bought her books on tricks she could learn to do for her element, Air. Learning the tricks was much harder for her then something like art or music. She only was able to do one thing at her young age, which was being able to pick things up and bring them to her. This can in handy when she was working on an art piece and she needed something that was across the room.
By the time Lilia turned 7 her parents were asked to go on an art expedition (music included). At first they didn't agree to go, leaving their 7-year-old daughter alone. But Lilia convinced them to go, saying that she could stay at a friend’s house until they got back. The expedition was only supposed to last for two weeks, the most. Yet, a month passed by and her parents hadn't returned. She had to live with her friend, at least until she turned 16.
Lilia had saved enough money, by providing art work in her mother’s purple art tent, and decided to move into the Sky Castle. She debated on selling her cottage home, but chose not to. Instead she cleared out her thing and placed them into her new house. She kept her parent’s things exactly where they were when they had left. Hoping that one day, they’d show up. The next 3 years Lilia lived alone, still working in her mother’s tent. She had to keep up the sells, so she could pay the rent for her house in the Sky Castle. Luckily the cottage was a hand built house by her father, so she didn't have to worry about paying rent to keep the house.

Extra:
When Lilia was 11, she was diagnosed with a rare, unknown sickness that had made her have poor health. She hasn't told anyone of this, thinking it wasn't a big deal. But the illness has caused her to feel weak everyone in a while, resulting into her staying at home more and more each passing year.

So begins...

Lilia was out in Komuna on a special market run. She had ordered a few art supplies that were suppose to come in today. So naturally the girl was very excited, getting new paints and pastels. Her most beloved interest was art and she had gone without doing anything of the sorts for about two weeks. The girl had used up the last of her supplies to finish a forest painting request by an old man, probably in his 70's. This was the way she received money, doing are requests. She also worked in the part of the market specifically for artists, making on the spot pieces of her work and selling new and old pieces.

On her way to the art shop, she stopped at a fruit cart. She bought a small basket her her favorite fruits; strawberries, grapes, and watermelon. Eating some of the fruit while heading to the shop, Lilia hummed a happy tune quiet enough that could only be heard if one was right next to her. Upon reaching the shop, she went right to the back, where you pay for the supplies. "Hello Marie! My supplies are here right?" She asked the clerk, who was a young lady not much older then herself. "Aye Lilia, they're in back. Give me a second." With that, Marie walked into the back.

Lilia turned around, leaning her lower back on the counter. She watched as little kids were playing in front of the store. Then she noticed one familiar figure and one not so familiar. It was Prince Jessi and Princess Rosa. She had seem Prince Jessi around a lot in the Sky Castle as the both lived there. But Princess Rosa was a foreign face. She had really only seen her in Komuna around the markets.

"Lilia, here's your supplies. That'll be 1 g (gold coin)." Marie said, placing the box of art supplies on the counter. Whipping around, Lilia's eyes were a bit wide. "What! 2 g? Come on can't you lower the price just a little? We're friends right!" She pleaded. Gold coins were probably the one of the most valued item for money, then silver, then bronze. Of course there was diamonds and others of that sort, but they were very rare and extremely expensive. "I'm sorry, but I can't do that or I'll get fired. Anyways, you could get that money back in no time. Your art sells fast." Marie tried to cheer her up, as Lilia gave her 1 gold coin. "Yeah, but I sell my work cheep. It'll take almost two months to get that back." She sighed, grabbing the box of supplies from the counter.

Rosa giggled and looked up at her brother, "well, Madam Loser's always trying to make me do duties but I don't wanna."
She smiles as her brother braids her hair, she has always loved her brother Jessi, not so much Clara - She always tried to avoid her mostly but that was probably because they were just so different, where Rosa was wild and bold, Clara was more reserved and calm.
Of course that fitted Clara's element nicely but really Rosa always thought it was just a little boring.

"So why are you here then?" She grins, re-joining the hop-scotch; her braids bouncing by her side.
She loved the little children - Sure she was much older than them but that doesn't mean she couldn't hang out with them and anyway she was still the baby of the family so she could do what she wanted.
There was quite the contrast between her and her sister, even though Clara was but a year older, she was always the mature one where Rosa was always bubbly and childish.

She then looks over to see a girl looking at them - Around Jessi's age, she waves to her and squeals at Jessi.
"That girl's looking at you, go say Hi!" She nudges him forward.

Sighing once more, Lilia left the shop with her box. "Well, might as well get started on earning that money back..." She told herself, just as she saw Princess Rosa wave to her. She readjusted the box so that she'd only be holding it with her left hand and waved back with a smile. Placing her right hand back around the box. Seeing the princess talk to Prince Jessi, her brother, then push him a bit forward, she thought it was nothing and began heading towards a purple tent. When she got there, she sat the box down and got her stuff ready. The purple tent was her own personal little shop where she sells her art work. She opened the tent up, having a few pieces out on display. In the middle of the room was a wooden stood and a wooden easel. She placed a canvas on the easel, sitting down on the stool. She than began to start a new painting.

Nuriah

Eventually, Tanwen made her way back to the shop, with their father in tow. She walked right past Nuriah and into the back, to Cetiri. "Thank-you Cetiri. Here's a little something for your help." Tanwen said, taking a small bite-sized piece of sweet bread and handing it to her. Cetiri took it, rather reluctantly so, and gave her mother a fake smile. "I'll be going now." She said, and moved past them, and back into the marketplace. Nuriah waved to her younger sister as Cetiri looked back. When the small blonde-haired girl had disappeared from Nuriah's vision, she frowned.

"I wish I was given the freedom to do as I please." She sighed, and turned to see her mother and father still working in the back. I guess I'll stay here then. She thought, and raised her head to a customer who had placed four bronze coins in front of her. "Three loaves?" The man asked, and Nuriah nodded. She took three of the loaves from the basket and handed them to him. He turned to leave but she reached out, and touched his shoulder to stop him. He paused, then turned to look at her. "Sir, you gave me four coins." She said, and he gave her a confused look before she continued. "You only bought three loaves. They cost one bronze coin each." She explained, and he smiled.

"Your honesty is humbling," For a moment, she felt warmth in her heart. Finally someone who recognizes a good person in this forsaken world, would he let her keep it? No, he took the coin from the counter and walked away.

Cetiri

Once she walked back into the marketplace, her eyes went searching for Princess Rosa. For a while she walked, but she never saw a glimpse or a flash of that unique, burning red hair. Eventually, she gave up and decided to leave the marketplace (though her parent's wouldn't approve) and rest for a while. She knew Komuna pretty well by now, so she had no problem navigating around the stalls and tents and shops. Before she left, however, she stopped by her most favorite tent. It was a wonderful purple, but that's not why it was her favorite.

Cetiri approached the tent, and looked at the paintings on display. "I'm sure your paintings get prettier every time I visit." She said, directing her comment to the girl in the middle of the room with long silky black hair and vibrant blue eyes. "I'm saving up my coins so I can get this one." She said, pointing to one of them, and the she looked at another one across the room. "Or that one. I can't decide-" Cetiri stopped herself from continuing, reminding herself that the girl was probably trying to focus.

Jessi chuckled lightly at his younger sister. She knew his tastes in women all to well. He had to admit that the lovely young lady that had set up her art work in the purple tent was attractive. She had long pin straight black hair and almost hypnotic blue-purple eyes. She was far shorter then him self, seeing as he stood at a towering 6"2. He clothing was very unique as well. He couldn't help but remember her walking around his home a few times. It was now that he noticed a small basket that this girl had set down. It had grapes, strawberries as well as some watermelon. "Well little Rose, I will have to act apon your request. Though I intend to impress her in the process. After I am finish talking to the lovely artist, we will lay a harmless prank on your adviser. That much I promise." Jessi chuckled again, patted Rosa on her head again before walking off the a near by fruit stand that happened to be owned by him, it was selling expensive fruits from his sky gardens. "Gorge, good old friend, I'll be taking some of my fruits if you don't mind." The old man running the stall didn't look old in stature really. He was tall and had a athletic build to him, the only way you could tell Gorge was up in his years was the gray hair on the top of his head.
"Prince Jessi, what in gods name are you doing her you little runt, are you not supposed to be locked up in the castle doing paper work of some kind, and I do mind if you take some of the fruit I am selling, how else do you expect me to make a living!" Jessi laughed slightly at the old man.
"Come now Gorge I'll send you six new crates of fruit to sell in the morning." With that Jessi took a medium size basket and filled it with fruit that he has seen the girl with earlier. He even stopped to pick up some of the best cheese and bread money could buy before heading back to the stall the young woman had set up her art work to sell. He would have to buy some of it.
Once he had arrived he saw another young girl he remembered being Rosa's best friend. "If you are looking for Rosa she is just down the road playing hop scotch with some younger children." he spoke to her before giving his full attention to the young female artist. He tapped her shoulder to gain her attention. He, after all, knew what it was like to be fully into painting something.

Cetiri

Cetiri was in the middle of looking at yet another painting when she heard the familiar voice of the eldest or the four royal siblings, the Prince of Air, come from behind her. "If you are looking for Rosa she is just down the road playing hop scotch with some younger children." He said, and she nodded. "Thank-you! I was wondering where she'd gone to..." Cetiri trailed off as she walked out of the tent, waving a goodbye to the artist and her art.

Once outside the tent, she began to search once again for that red hair, further down the road. Sure enough, there it was, among everything else. She skipped forward, until she was in ear-shot of the young princess. She was somehow always more comfortable around Rosa. They were best friends. Cetiri's straight face grew into a grin as she waved to Rosa, and came closer. She was playing with some of the younger children, which seemed like something Rosa would do, so Cetiri joined in.

Nuriah

Nuriah had always kept track of all her customers, so before the man walked away, she took note of his unusual multicolored eyes. A while after he left, all she could remember were those eyes. She had thought they looked soft at first, but as he turned to leave, they turned cold. Her mind kept droning on as customer after familiar customer came and went, choosing and purchasing. She was about to ask if she could bake, when she spotted an unusually familiar face from across the market. Nuriah's face tilted in confusion. She knew that face, but it wasn't a face of one of their customers...

Her cheeks turned a bright red when she'd caught herself staring, because he was also staring. Her crimson eyes- those same crimson eyes that did not take note of Princess Clara who was next to to boy- darted to her hands, which she kept busy with rearranging bread. She didn't want to look up again, or she might blush again.

Hearing a familiar voice, Lilia looked up from her painting, stopping momentarily. "Why thank you. It's always nice to know I'm doing a good job." She smiled, seeing the young bright blonde haired girl. She watched for a moment as the girl's lovely red eyes searched the tent for paintings. Listening to the girl on deciding what painting to by make her giggle a little. The girl had been in the tent a few times, but she never asked for her name. "Well, once you find a painting you like, please tell me and I'll ring you up." And with that being said, she got back to painting her current picture. Just then, she caught the voice of none other than Prince Jessi. She had seen him around this part of the market, but he never actually entered her tent before. She noticed he was speaking to the girl, then as they finished speaking, the young blonde waved goodbye and left the tent.

A moment later, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Already knowing who it was, she didn't stop painting. "Just because your a prince, doesn't give you the right to scare off potential customers, ya'know." A small smirk appeared on her face, as she stopped painting for a second. "I feel like it's missing something..." She quietly said, slightly leaning back to look at the full painting. It was an ocean scene at sunset. The sky was beautiful colors or yellow, orange, and red with a little clouds around the sun that sat on top of the ocean. The ocean was a crystal light sapphire blue with small waves crashing onto the soft tan sand, which almost looked realistic. "What do you think?" She asked Prince Jessi, looking off to the side, up at him. Her face had a bit of red paint across her left cheek and blue across a small portion of her forehead.

Jessi found the little specs of paint on this girls face cute, he also saw it as her being a artist, after all if you don't get paint on you hands or face you are not into what you are painting at all. "Forgive me for scaring her off, perhaps I will just have to buy them all off you plus interest, I also couldn't help but take notice that you have a small basket of fruit and couldn't help but get this for a beautiful young artist in front of me." Jessi smiled at the girl why handing the basket he held that he had filled earlier, he then turned his attention to her painting. It was quite the sight, he pointed to just off center from the sun and up into the sky on her painting. "Perhaps a silhouette of the Sky Castle and some clouds in the sky around it. You could do a series of paintings like this with the other castles as well, if you like I could obtain some pictures of them if you like?" Jessi thought for a moment before speaking up again. "Of course if I am to get them I will need the name of the person I am going to be giving them to." Jessi couldn't help but notice as how cheesy he was being, but brushed it off. He was being a gentlemen towards this beautiful girl not so bum off the street. Jessi was trying to charm her, court her even, not work his way in between her legs.

Lilia just laughed a short cute laugh, thinking it was some kind of joke. Buy all her paintings, really? Why would the Prince of all people want to buy ALL her paintings. She was just an amateur artist, or at least she thought she was. Yet she couldn't help but feel a bit flattered by that fact. She looked at him from head to toe, seeing if his posture was really telling the truth or not. That was one of her specialties, body language, she could easily tell what a person was like by the way they express their body. "You really want to but all my paintings...With interest?" She asked Prince Jessi, still not quite believing him fully.

Then Lilia blinked a few times at the mention of her small fruit basket and looked down at it. A clear pink blush faded onto her cheeks as Prince Jessi told her that she was a 'beautiful young artist'. She took the much larger basket from him hand, while gently brushing her hand against his. "T-Thank you..." She shyly said, looking at the basket that was now in her hands. Her blush darkened a little as a sweet smile formed on her lips.

Shaking her head a little, Lilia returned her attention back to her painting. She followed Prince Jessi's finger to where he pointed on the canvas and listened to his suggestion. "Ah, that would be a nice touch. You sir have an artistic eye." She complimented, as she thought about the series of paintings with the other castles. "I might take you up on that offer. But first I have to see haw well of a photographer you are." She told him placing her paint brush, that she has been holding this whole time, in the cup of water on the tray next to the easel. "Then, if you are a splendid photographer, I just might give you my name." She smirked once again.

Jessi found this very talented artist just so captivating. He wanted to sweep her off her feat and take her away, but being a gentlemen Jessi did not. "Of course I would buy all of them off of you with interest, Prince's word." Jessi paused a second to resist kissing the beautiful young woman in front of him. Her blush was just so delicate. "Thank you, I have dabbled in painting. Unfortunately I have no talents with cameras, but I do know this very famous photographer by the name of Francis Riches, you may know him. I would be more then glad to perches some photo's off him for you," He took the young artist hand in his own before bringing it to his lips gently and then placing back at her side "but alas this wont give me this alluring youthful woman's name will it."

"Well, since you really want to buy all my work, I'll let you. But I'll tell you this. Just because you're a Prince, doesn't mean the prices will be cheap, even for you." Lilia told Prince Jessi, having a grin across her lips. "Ah, not good with camera's are you? That photographer sounds vaguely familiar, I think I've seen some of his work around the Sky Castle. Though I rather take the pictures myself rather than having someone else do it for me." She responded to his offer, as he took her slightly paint covered hand and lifted it to his lips. Once her hand was back at her side, she held it up and started at the area where Prince Jessi's lips had touched her hand. Looking back up at him, she thought for a moment. "I'll make you a deal. " She said, as she pointed her finger at him, then continued, "If and only if you take me to the other three castles, as I cannot afford a pass to enter any of them on my own, then and only then will I tell you me name."

Jessi nodded his head in understanding "Of course how about three very large coin purses filled with gold?" Jessi moved his hand to show the general shape of what one of the purses would look like. Despite his child like behavior to this he was very serious as to paying that much for all of her paintings. If she didn't accept it, he would give that much to her any way. "As for sight seeing the other castles, that much is easy. Though, you my fine woman, have to agree to go on a date with me at each location." If this wonderfully beautiful artist wanted to bargain he would have more then just her name, though it wouldn't even cost him a copper to get to the other castles. He would have to beg his brother to let him take a woman into his crystal gardens or even have him near his castle so that she could take pictures, but he knew exactly what strings to pull to make it so

Lilia's eyes widened a bit when Prince Jessi mentioned how much he was going to give her. "N-No, no...That's too much! I was only kidding!!!" She exclaimed, frantically waving her arms in front of her. After all she didn't really expect him to offer so much, her attitude towards the amount was meant in a way of a joke. She took a deep breath to calm herself, listening to the rest of what the prince had to say.

"A date? At each castle?" Lilia thought over the idea of going on three dates with Prince Jessi. She had to admit that she has a harmless crush on him, though what girl doesn't? She always wanted to go to the other castles for a while now and take photos, so she couldn't let this offer slip. Gently biting her bottom lips, she nodded her head. "Alright, you've got yourself a deal." She held out her hand for him to shake on it. This was a habit of hers whenever she negotiated a buyer on something.

Jessi smiled kindly at the lovely young woman before him. "Where as you were joking, I was not. I will be giving you the gold any way." Lilia sighed, noticing that Prince Jessi would not back down about giving her all that money. Seeing him smile made her light blush appear back on her cheeks. "I hope so..." She quietly muttered to herself, just as he took her hand and raised it to him lips once again. Which this of course, darkened her blush some. Stop blushing! Calm down or your face will go completely red! She practically screamed inside her head. "Alright I will see you tomorrow at 1 in the afternoon." She smiled, standing yup and started packing her painting supplies up. She'll finish the painting a little later, right now, other things were on her mind besides the painting. "Okay, make sure whoever picks up my work is careful with them, though I'm sure you already know that.."

Suki looked around the bustling market, looking for one person and only one person. The Prince of Air.
Searching around, she could not find the young prince anywhere that is, of course, until she finds him standing at an artist's stall kissing the said artists' hand.
Frowning a little, Suki enters the marquee and plasters a broad smile on her face, "Jessi!" She exclaims, looking at her old friend "I have been looking everywhere for you."

She then eyes the gorgeous girl, slightly jealous of her beauty and raises an eyebrow "Ever the flirt, hmm?" She giggles, looking around the stall.
"Lovely work, you too have a keen eye for art." She says to Jessi, unhappy that she had found him in his predicament.
"Oh of course!" She grins, looking at the girl "How rude of me, I am Suki. Jessi's best friend..You are..?"
She folds her arms, waiting for the girls response.
'How confused this girl must be, she is probably wondering why a girl in a light-blue dress has just bustled in claiming to be the Prince's best friend.'' She thinks, yet for Suki nothing could be more amusing than this girl's face.

Lilia had jumped a little in surprise, as her back was to the tent entrance, when a female voice shouted "Jessi!". She looked over she shoulder to find a young beautiful girl with medium, light golden hair that curled a bit at the end. The girl had hazel brown eye and looked slightly taller than herself, maybe about 4 inches taller. She stayed quiet as the girl talked to Prince Jessi. When the girl mentioned the Prince being a flirt, she looked down at her hand, then pulled it away to her chest. She uttered out a soft "Thank you" at the complement of her work.

"Oh of course!" She grins, looking at the girl "How rude of me, I am Suki. Jessi's best friend..You are..?" Lilia blinked as the girl, Suki, introduced herself. "I'm..." She stopped herself, her little 'secret identity game' with Prince Jessi would be over if she told Suki her name. Then again, it wasn't that hard to figure out, her name was on all her art work as she signs every single piece. "I'm Lilia Hayes. It's a pleasure to meet you Suki." She smiled sweetly, though Suki seemed she'd like a more 'amusing' reaction to who she was. She was Prince Jessi's best friend, was that suppose to impress her or something?

"HAHA! The mysterious artist name has been found out! It is a beautiful name for a beautiful woman." Jessi smiled at Lilia Hayes. He then turned to his friend, Suki. "Now, now, Suki I am not some dog that feels the need to flirt with just any one. Lilia is a very alluring and talented artist whom has agreed to go on three dates with me." Jessi couldn't help but brag to his friend about scoring three dates with this charming young woman. "Her art work is just astounding isn't it. I have just purchased it all, I will need to make room in the main hall. What do you think Suki, wouldn't it all look simply amazing in the main hall?"

She nods as her brother mentions that her and Clara can never get on, "We're opposites brother, she is water; I am fire." She smiles.
Yet her smile fades when she hears about Madam Louise, her advisor.
She looks at Cetiri and grinned, plastering that familiar mischievous smile ,her face knew all too well, across her lips.
"Shall we?" She says, looking at her friend, and then thinks "Wait, you don't have you stay with your sister, do you?" She asks a little sadly, not wanting her friend to go.

Suki bites down on her lip and looks at the ground as he says this, but then snaps out of it quickly.
"Nice going Jessi," She smiles, "So where are you going?"

She nods when her friend mentions the girls artwork, and then gasps.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to ruin your game," She intertwines her fingers and nods, "I should go.."
And with that Suki walks out, not wanting to see her 'best friend' flirt with other girls anymore.

Lilia couldn't help but let out a small giggle when Prince Jessi was overly happy to know her name. As he talked with Suki, she collected her painting supplies and went to the back of the tent, where a small water fountain sink was. She washed off her paint brushes and palette. Hearing the Prince say her art work was astounding, made her blush lightly again.

Once Suki asked where they were going, Lilia looked over she shoulder and said "Prince Jessi is taking me to the three Castles; Sea, Fire, and Earth. I need pictures of the castles for a series of paintings he suggested I do. Thankfully I don't have to worry about the Sky Castle since I live there." Turning her head back around, she grabbed a towel that was hanging over a bar attached to the fountain. She dried off her utensils with the paint covered towel and put them away in a paint brush holder She took her art apron off and folded it, placing her stuff into the box she got earlier. Sitting back down on the stool in front of her almost finished painting, she took a couple strawberries and began eating them.

"Oh it's alright, it wasn't really a game." Lilia shrugged, tossing the tops of the strawberries into her small fruit basket. "You don't have to-" She was about to tell Suki that she didn't need to leave, but it was too late. The girl was already out the tent and away from them. "Hmm, what was with that?" She questioned, taking some grapes and plopping them into her mouth.
