a character in “The Zodi Academy Relaunch”, originally authored by emotionless, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

"The eighth soldier was the dark scorpion, intense and volatile, he who ends suffering guided by the wrath of Pluto."

Image

Name: "My name is Adriana Maud, though most people call me Ri...I don't know why though...its not as though 'Adriana' is all that hard to say"
Age: "I am 21 years young"
Gender: "I am female...though I feel like that's pretty obvious..."
Orientation: "My door only swings one way honey, I am straight"
Date of Birth: "My birthday is October 31, how cool was that?"
Zodiac Sign: "My zodiac sign?...I'm Scorpio, watch out I'm not afraid to sting"

Appearance Description:
Image

"Cant you look at my pictures?"

Adriana is medium height, about 5'4, with long scarlet hair that flows to about mid back. She is built like an athlete, slim and petite yet muscled. She has beautiful chocolate brown eyes that are framed with long dark lashes. When she is happy her eyes turn to a melted caramel brown. She has a fair complexion with plump lips that are almost always covered in candy apple red lipstick.

Power Description:

Mandatory Power- PESTILENCE: Adriana can generate, create, emit or otherwise produce poison/poisonous substance and somehow inflict the victim (usually through the form of physical contact). She can also create, manipulate, shape, and transform all forms of diseases, including their severity, contagiousness, and methods of spreading, etc. Most of her power stems from the ability to understand and influence the poisons on a cellular level.

(For the sake of clarity: poison, toxin and venom are terms for any substance that injures the health or destroys life when absorbed into the system: poison is the general word, toxin is a poison produced by an organism (plant, fungus, animal); it is especially used in medicine in reference to disease-causing bacterial secretions, venom is especially used of the poisons secreted by certain animals, usually injected by bite or sting.)

Limitations: Adriana is not immune to her own poisons, and she does not possess the ability to remove or cure any of her administered poisons, so she must be very careful when it comes to herself and her loved ones. However there is a loop hole: with her ability to wield any form of poison or sickness known to man, she can counter one poison with another and create an antidote so to speak.

Pool Power:
-Agility: Adriana has superior senses such as eyesight, hearing, smell, and taste. This comes in handy with illusions and whatnot because most will affect only certain senses but lack in others, for example an illusion might lack a smell or have no heartbeat. She can also focus her senses to look for a particular sight/sound/smell/taste/feel and blocking out all others.
‱ Enhanced Hearing: Ears pick up every single sound, and can decipher layer upon layer of noise; has the ability to pick up a conversation from a mile away in a busy city. May even mutate into Echolocation.
‱ Enhanced Smell: Users can detect specific smells, and locate their origin. Some may even be able to tell if someone is lying by which hormones they excrete.
‱ Enhanced Taste: Users may be able to detect poisons or other problems, Usually accompanies enhanced smell.
‱ Enhanced Touch: Some can feel so acutely that to rub the users hand on a paper would be like reading the page, sensing every bump ripple or wave. Some may even be able to tell of distant occurrences felt through vibrations in the earth.
‱ Enhanced Vision: Can see with amazing clarity, distance, or color, perhaps even in a different spectrum of light or into other dimensions. reflexes and opportunistic capability; incredibly accurate precision)

Limitations: When Adriana is focusing on one of her senses too intensely everything around her disappears leaving her vulnerable to attack. If one of her senses becomes too intense she gets massive headaches and it pretty much incapacitates her.

Pool Power: Divination- Adriana has the ability to foresee future events using water scrying as well as tarot cards.

Limitations: The future is not always solid, it is like a constant flowing river.

Personality Description:

"I'm a Bad ass duh..."

Adriana is fiercely independent. She is able to accomplish anything she puts her mind to and she refuses to give up. Adriana is extremely ambitious, persistent and determined which is shown through her somewhat controlling attitude. She will work for what she wants and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Adriana is also very flexible she is able to re-survey any situation and take a different approach if necessary. She is a fierce competitor, though she will always win justly. Adriana is excellent at restoring order to any chaotic situation and just as capable of manipulating people for her own benefit.

Adriana often finds herself misunderstood because of her intensity and contradictory behavior. Adriana is constantly trying to understand her emotions through finding a deeper purpose in life. She is very capable of hiding her true feelings and motivations though she tries to be very honest. Adriana is all about control, control of herself and all situations she is in. She is very intuitive, but not as in a psychic sense, more as intuitive into the human mind, she has a great understanding of the mystery and the power of the human mind.

Adriana has a fear of failure which she keeps hidden extremely well. She is very wary about trusting anyone, a person needs to gain her trust and this happens over time. When she does finally trust someone she loves deeply and intensely. Her loyalty to that person will run deep. Underneath her cool exterior she has energies and emotions that are constantly flowing. She deals with this by channeling them into useful activities, hobbies, and whatnot.

All in all Adriana is very deep, intense person, there is always more than meets the eye. She presents a cool, detached and unemotional air to the world yet lying underneath is tremendous power, extreme strength, intense passion and a strong will and a persistent drive.

History/Background: Adriana was born and raised in the military life. Her father dragged her around the world after her parents’ divorce. They never stayed in one place for long before her father was transferred after a while she didn’t even bother to make friends
. When she turned 18 her father was killed in action. After the funeral she went off grid and toured Europe on foot. She only recently returned to the states because of her mother’s recent and tragic overdose on sleeping pills. She decided to stay in the Americas for a while so she got an apartment. A few weeks after that she got her letter.

Stephen nodded as the other girl sat down, glancing over to her before quickly looking back at Vanessa. "Throw up? Why would I throw up? They're not gonna turn this thing upside down are they? I mean, that would be incredibly fun, but... On my first flight? Really?" He glanced out the window for a moment, frowning as he looked at the tarmac, and then glanced back at the girl that had set beside Vanessa. "Hi, don't think I caught your name? Figure if we're gonna share this first leg of my journey, might as well get to know each other right?" He reached into his pocket to grab his phone in case they both disagreed with that logic, but it was right as a flight attendant came back and the scowl she gave him made him sigh and turn it back off and slip it back into his pocket as he waited for a reply from either girl. He wondered whether any of the other eleven were on the plane and suddenly started to crane his neck to look around at everybody, trying to see if he could find someone that looked like they had powers, still keeping an ear open to listen for the two girls' response.

Vanessa sat back, sighing softly as Stephen began to talk once more. Put off from her book, she slipped out a embroided leather bookmark from where she had kept it in her pockets and carefully placed it between the pages, closing the book with care and tucking it away beside where she sat. Now bored with nothing to keep her mind at ease, Vanessa closed her eyes and tried to catch the thoughts of those around her. The red-headed girl seemed only focused on what she was drawing and seemed to be singing song-lyrics in her head, Stephen's mind was full of excited questions to ask.

Vanessa gave a sigh again and leaned back more in her seat, trying to get comfortable so that she could focus more. Once she caught onto the mind of a girl behind the three, Vanessa locked on and began to read her thoughts. It seemed the girl was feeling mischevious, and wanted to play a prank on Stephen, the red-head and herself.

Opening her eyes to shut off her power, Vanessa smirked softly and gave a shrug, speaking outloud to the girl in the seat behind, "Spiders are marvelous creatures you know. They can spin a web in less than an hour with the finest silk, all produced from a web sack in their bodies. Isn't that fascinating? I do hope you don't play to use a real spider in your mischeif, somebody might hurt it." Though knowledgable, Vanessa didn't pay much attention to the thought or feeling of an animal, she just found particular habits and motions interesting, so she'd rather that they stay alive for her to be able to study.

Felicia Miller

Felicia jumped over the back of her couch and landed on the comfortable cushions. She snatched the television remote off the coffee table in front of her. She turned on the television and stared at the screen for a little while. There was nothing on that interested her so she decided to turn the Xbox on. While the game system turned on she went to get the mail, inside of her mailbox she found a few bills and a red letter. She threw the mail on the coffee table and flopped down on the couch once again. She lazily reached out for the Xbox controller that was on the far side of the coffee table.

She started to play Call of Duty and got frustrated with it quickly. She put the controller down on the table and looked at her mail. The red letter looked important so she decided to open it. She read the letter and didn’t believe what she was reading. She knew that she was different from other people but didn’t think there was a school for people like her. She sat there for a moment just looking at the letter not knowing how to feel. She then got up and walked toward the bathroom. She decided that a shower might help clear up her mind, when she got in and turned on the water it was freezing cold but she didn’t flinch. After the cold shower, she had made her decision to go and check this school out.

While packing Felicia saw the picture of her mother on her nightstand and walked over toward it. She picked the picture up ran her hand down the picture frame. “I won’t be powerless anymore mom. I’m going to make you proud; your little girl is all grown up.” A tear fell down her face and was quickly wiped away. Felicia said to herself as she quickened the pace of her packing “Now is not the time for tears I need to get ready.” When Felicia was finished packing she had filled three duffle bags, a carryon bag, and a large suitcase with her items. When she exited her apartment building a taxi was waiting for her. She put her things into the car and looked at her apartment one final time. The driver stepped out of the car and asked “Where am I taking you ma’am?” Felicia turned and with a smile said “To the airport please.” The driver nod and after Felicia got in the car drove off.

When they arrived at the airport the driver asked “Do you need help with your bags? You have a lot.” Felicia simple shook her head and after getting out easily lifted the bags on her shoulder and rolled the suitcase behind her. She checked her bags and then went to go find the gate her plane would leave from. Her plane arrived and she got on, there were a few interesting looking people already on the plane. She simply sat down in an available seat and opened up the bag she carried on with her. She pulled out a bag of Oreos and began eating a few of them.

Stephen furrowed his brow a little as Vanessa started talking to someone seemingly at random about spiders and then glanced over to Adriana. He smiled a little and nodded, "Nice to meet you Adriana. Well I've been lucky enough to not be in a car crash, so I suppose this flight can't be too bad." He stretched out and tried to prop his feet up on the chair in front of him, but ended up just kicking it, and slowly set his feet down as the person sitting in it turned around and gave him a glare. Then he seemed to forget about them as he turned towards Adriana again, "Victory? Well, I haven't too many fights, so I suppose it's somewhat accurate at least."

Then he heard the girl behind him, whom he assumed Vanessa had been talking too and furrowed his brows. He turned around in his seat and glanced at her, "Um... You do know people can't read minds right? And if they can..." He glanced back at Vanessa and narrowed his eyes, "Teach me..." Then he blinked and glanced back at Alice, "Name's Stephen! In case you didn't catch it."

Vanessa peeked up at the girl named Alice who had apparently now joined her personal space, like Adriana and Stephen had. With a kind smile she turned her torso to see the girl's upside-down face, "Well, I can finish a Rubik's cube in three minutes, if that's anything to boast about" she smirked a bit, glancing over to Stephen as he made his comment, then looked back to Alice, "I apologise, but it's usually not common to ask. You don't seen the vilians in books and movies asking kindly before they take captive, do you?" she'd giggle softly then and turn to sit straight in her seat again, wondering what else she can do to occupy her time.

Once he had arrived at the airport, Xander began to experience feelings of apprehension as he made his way to the terminal. "Xander, man, what the hell are you even doing?" he questioned himself in his thoughts. He had an odd habit of conversing with himself mentally when he felt the need to talk something out. "I have to go, the Universe is telling me to."

"The 'universe'? Do you even hear yourself right now?"

"It sounds crazy..."

"That's because it IS crazy."

"Well I AM crazy! I'm talking to you, aren't I?"

"Touché."

"I should really consider therapy..."

He had been so lost in his thoughts that he hadn't even realized he'd bumped into the ticket check lady. "Gah! I'm so sorry, miss.."

"That's no problem!!" she said with a big smile as she chuckled. "I'll need to check your ticket, please?"

"Yep, here you go." he replied, presenting his ticket to her.

"Lovely! Enjoy your stay in Japan, Mister Lockheart! Have a safe flight!" she smiled again.

Xander wondered why there wasn't that many people here... in fact, there was hardly anybody. "Is it not common to travel to Japan this time of year or something?" He shrugged it off and boarded the plane. He looked for a good aisle seat somewhere near the middle of the plane. He wasn't fond of flying, and he had heard once that people in the middle of the plane are least likely to die in case of a crash. He knew it wasn't likely a scientific fact and that he should probably doubt the validity, but he figured it couldn't hurt, right? His assigned seat was a window seat towards the back of the plane, but he had asked the stewardess if he could pick somewhere else since there was hardly anybody on the flight, and she didn't seem to have a problem with it. He stuffed his larger duffle-sized carryon bag into the storage compartment overhead and sat in an empty row of chairs. "Thank god.." he silently sighed to himself in relief of the fact that there was hardly anybody else seated near him; just a woman, looked like about in her middle ages with her baby in the row opposite his, and one row back. He tucked his backpack between his legs and waited for takeoff. At this point, a normal person might put in music or something, but Xander preferred people watching from afar. His thoughts were mixed with feelings of anticipation to find out what exactly he was doing with his life right at this moment, boarding a plane to a strange academy in the middle of Japan. He was desperate to know who sent that letter, who could have known about his powers. Then he mulled over a particular part of the letter, "to help train and discipline you, to achieve better mastery of your abilities - " what exactly did that mean? Was he able to do more than he even knew..? He never imagined that this strange ability of his would amount to anything more than exactly what it's been: just a way with people. A really good way with people. Xander wasn't dumb; he knew there was a difference between simply being a charming and persuasive person, and being able to do what he does. He could get away with murder if he wanted... heck, he's gotten away with things almost as bad.

Then he took notice to a group of kids way up at the front of the plane. Must be some group of friends on vacation, he thought. He watched as they entertained each other. He was too far to hear what they were saying, but the one girl seemed to be harassing her more quiet and bookish friend in the seat in front of her. Xander couldn't hide a small smile that found its way to his face. He wondered what it must be like to have friends like that.. companions who you are so close with, you can do anything together, even take a vacation across the globe. He made up stories for the kids as he observed them.. the girl in front, the one that looked rather unamused, she must have been the brains of the group. The girl behind her is obviously the crazy one. The girl next to the quiet girl had fiery red hair and some tattoos, maybe some piercings from what he could see. She's obviously the rebel. And then the boy near the window getting all the attention.. lucky bastard. He's either the pimp or the token homosexual of the group, Xander mused to himself. He caught himself slightly giggling to himself. "Whoops.."

He began to zone out as he sat and waited for take off. It sure felt like it was taking a while..

Stephen narrowed his eyes as he looked closer at Vanessa, almost seeming like he was going to lean in and try to kiss her but that wasn't his intent. "So what... Are you like super smart? And you just guess what people are thinking? Because nobody actually has powers right?" He frowned then, leaning back and looking down at his lap. He hoped nobody would ask him about why he mentioned powers, because if he told them why he was on the plane, they'd surely try to lock him up in a mental institution when it landed.

He decided not to worry about it as a fly landed on one of his knuckles. He looked up at Alice and smirked as she copied his introduction back at him, and then looked down at the fly as it tickled him. It flew away and his eyes followed it over Alice's head and back towards the rear of the plane. He lost sight of it right as his eyes passed over a boy sitting near the middle of the plane and giggling just a little, and Stephen blinked again before grinning and waving at him, wondering why he sat so far away from everyone. Then he saw the baby and he grinned wider, waving at it and making cooing sounds until he just froze upon seeing Vanessa's face from behind him. He furrowed his brow and looked between the two Vanessa faces and then just stared at the one that must have been Alice, a look of confusion on his face.

Krys just sat and moved his body a bit while tapping his foot and singing with a small tone. Well, he's kinda feeling-the-beat now, so if there aren't anybody who feel irritating, maybe he could do that so that the flight wouldn't be too boring. Krys was sitting on the top row of the plane so maybe the passengers who sat behind him might didn't notice him and the girl next to him. "I wonder if there are anybody who also be asked to join the Academy on this plane", he thought. So he turned his head and saw a guy with black hair, a girl with deep brown hair and hazel eyes and a girl with stunning red hair was sitting on a same row, and there also a girl with long blonde hair sitting behind them. It seems that they were talking and they get along quite well. Krys took off his headphones, but still wearing his sunglasses, "Wow, isn't it so much fun back there. Maybe I should change my seat..."

Krys then stood up and walked out from his seat. Well, since the plane is flying quite stabled now so they could walk freely, it's not like when you're travel on a bus so there's nothing to worry. He walked towards the group who was talking and smiled like sunshine, "Hey, it seems like you guys are really having fun. So... do you mind if I joined you? Oh, I forgot to introduce, the name's Krystian. Nice to meet you all."

Felicia Miller

The plane was almost empty except for a few people scattered throughout. Felicia took out her phone and made sure there wasn’t a flight attendant around to tell her to shut her phone off. She began furiously typing trying to get all of her thoughts down into one text message. The recipient of this text was her little brother, Adam. It had been sometime since she had seen him and he was on her mind as she sat there. Felicia was starting to have second thoughts about going she didn’t know when she would get to see her family again and it scared her. Instead of being only a few hours away she would be half the world away. She strengthened herself before any tears started to appear on her face. She looked down at the text she had written and read it to herself.

Hey little brother, I know we haven’t seen each other in so long
but I want you to know that I love you. Claire told me about that scholarship you got and I couldn’t be more proud of you. I’m sure mom would be proud as well. Sadly this isn’t just a text to check up on you and tell you how proud I am. I wanted you to know that I am going on trip and I’m not sure how long I will be gone. While I’m gone I want you to do your best, I might not be able to give you any sisterly advice while I am gone so just remember this. When in doubt do what I would do, just kidding don’t follow my example I don’t want you getting expelled or something. When things get bad remember that you have people who will support you no matter what. Plus you are stronger than you think and can do anything you set your mind to. Well I’m going to go before end the text before I ramble on even more. I love you little bro, take care of yourself.

She sent the message and started to tear up a little bit, but they were tears of joy. Felicia ran the back of her hand along her eyes wiping away the tears that were forming. As she did this she looked around to make sure no one was watching her. Ahead of her was the small group that seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. They seemed to be focused on their own group and she was sure they didn’t notice her.
However, two of them turned around to wave and smile at someone. This caused Felicia to grow curious so she poked her head into the aisle and saw they were waving to a man behind her in the middle area of the plane. He didn’t seem to be a part of their group so Felicia wondered why they looked at him. Felicia was curious about this man mostly because he was attractive, but he also seemed like the type that could hold a conversation.

Felicia grabbed her bag and switched to a seat that was two rows behind her original seat. She was sure no one would mind since the plane had so much open space. When Felicia got to her new seat she place down her bag and got comfortable. She then turned in the seat and said “ Psst, hey you with the spiky hair and attractive face.” Felicia was very straight forward, which was just the way she was and couldn't help it. Plus she was pretty sure this man was the type of guy that was attractive and knew it. She only waited a split second before continuing to talk to the man “I was wondering if you wouldn't mind a little company. I was bored and you seem like the opposite of boring.”

When she finally got an up close look at this guy Felicia couldn’t help but think he was more attractive than she had originally thought. He had the looks of a model. A toned body, and hair that looked like it was taken care of. All of these qualities were physically appealing to her, but she wondered if this man’s personality was appealing as well. Before the man spoke one of the girls from the group in the front came and fell in the aisle.

Felicia couldn’t help but think to herself Oh darling; I don’t think that is how you are supposed to fall for a man. A smile was creeping across Felicia’s face but quickly disappeared when Felecia asked “Are you alright?” The girl didn’t really respond and simply went off to the bathroom. So Felicia went back to her conversation with the good looking stranger.

“That’s funny I was actually thinking about coming over and saying hi. So you think my face is attractive, huh?”

Felicia chuckled a little and responded “Well I’m a little assertive wasn’t going to wait around for you to come see me.” After saying that she decided to be even more assertive. She got up and sat in the row with this man. She tried to justify to herself by saying she didnt want to have to turn around to talk. However, she really did it because she felt like she could be comfortable with this guy.

She looked the man over for a moment gave him a slight wink, then continued to talk “As for you being attractive. I think you are very pleasing to the eyes, you seem like you would be a model or dancer. You have a profession where people judge you based on your looks, right?” Felicia was fairly sure this man was a model or at least something close to it.

Before the man could respond to her question Felicia decided to add even more things to their discussion. “So why are you taking a trip to Japan? Oh I almost forgot to introduce myself I am Felicia ” She smiled toward and stared at him with her hazel eyes, she enjoyed having conversations with people especially when she found the person attractive. But she was wondering to herself if she was being off putting with the questions and excessive talking.

As he and the hazel-eyed girl who was sitting in front of him engaged in conversation, the tattooed girl with the fiery red hair from the group up at the front of the plane traipsed on by, presumably headed to the bathroom or maybe to find a flight attendant, and ended up falling as a result of the wicked turbulence.

"I guess maybe I should hold off on getting a drink because apparently I cant walk sober..." she chimed in more to herself rather than addressing either Xander or the girl he was talking to. Xander respected her clear efforts of trying to make light of the situation.

"Girl I feel you, I need a drink myself, all the rocking back and forth's got me all kinds of anxious and shit." he quipped with a still expression. The hazel-eyed girl asked if she were alright.

She chuckled a little and responded to his comment, “Well I’m a little assertive wasn’t going to wait around for you to come see me.” She then got up and took a seat next to Xander, claiming it was 'cause she didn't want to have to turn around to talk', but Xander knew what she was trying to do. She just wanted to sit next to him, and that was fine with him.

He noticed she seemed to be eying him. She gave him a wink. He sighed internally. Although he certainly didn't mind getting attention from others - in fact it was something he was quite accustomed to - he had hoped that maybe the vibes he was getting off this girl would be accurate, and she'd prove to be a little less interested in just his "good looks", and hopefully a bit more interested in his personality. Nevertheless, he met her wink and raised her another one of his trademark wry-smiles.

“As for you being attractive. I think you are very pleasing to the eyes, you seem like you would be a model or dancer. You have a profession where people judge you based on your looks, right?”

The girl's words ringed throughout his head. 'people judge you based on your looks, right?' the comment hit close to home, and it replayed a couple times over in his head before he managed to snap himself out of it; meanwhile, she continued tossing out questions.

"Hah.... yeah. Interesting choice of words there." he replied, trying to remain casual despite the comment. "That's pretty perceptive of you to say; is it that obvious? Actually, I only do some modeling on the side.. I'm really an actor - well, aspiring actor. I'm still trying to break into the business. You might hear my name in some circles; people might tell you that I'm already on the map. I'm not famous by any means, though. ..so don't go asking me for my autograph." he gave a quick, dry laugh. "It's a pleasure, Felicia. Beautiful name... it means 'happy one', doesn't it? I'm Xander." he introduced himself with flawless execution, making sure to turn on the charm full-force, but reserving any use of his powers as he gently took her hand in his and lightly touched the backside of her palm with his lips. "As for why I'm going to Japan..? Well.. I could tell you, but I doubt you'd believe me even if I did. Let's just say its a 'vacation'." he responded to her questions as she smiled at him, piercing him with those gorgeous earth-colored eyes. He was actually very grateful for the conversation.. not only for the fact that it was taking his mind off the time, but also because he knew he could stand to use some new friends, or at the very least some acquaintances. You know, for someone in such a social field, Xander had a really bad habit of distancing himself from most people.

Plus, she was incredibly easy on the eyes, and Xander was a sucker for beautiful things.

"What about you, Felicia? Why are YOU going to Japan?" he asked with a slightly teasing tone of voice, his cheeky grin unconsciously finding its way to his face once more.

"The plane will landed in 5 minutes, for your safety, please check your seatbelt. Thank you", said the pilot. That voice woke Krys up, the flight was pretty smooth which makes Krys falling asleep all the way. "Finally we've arrived...", he said to himself as the plane landed slowly before it stopped completely. Krys then opened his seatbelt, grab his luggage from the compartment and got down the plane. After he has shown the airport's staffs his passport and did some paperwork, he got out from the airport and caught a taxi to his second destination.

"I wonder what will be waiting for me there", he thought to himself as the taxi was travel smoothly on the way. On his way, Krys looked outside and was pretty impressive with the crowded city of Kyoto. Well, he has visited Japan before, but he went to Tokyo at that time and Tokyo was more crowded than this city, it's easy to understand since it is the capital of this country.

After a while, the taxi stopped, Krys then took his luggage out and go looking around a little. Then he found an old man who was standing next to the biggest helicopter he has ever seen in his life, it seems that he was waiting for Krys and the other 11. "I have a good feeling about this", Krys grinned and then got up the helicopter and saw Adriana was sitting next to a young, muscular guy. Krys was pretty surprised to see her. "Adriana?", Krys asked, "so you were also summoned by them too? Wow, such a coincidence", Krys smiled and then sat on a seat next to Adriana, looks like he is the third person got here. "I didn't see you on the earlier flight", Krys said to the guy, "but anyway, my name is Krystian, but you can call me Krys for short. Nice to meet ya. Hope that we can get along", Krys smiled brightly and extended his hand towards him. "Wow, such a hot gal...", Krys thought to himself after he looked at the guy for a moment, blushing a little. That guy was taller than Krys, that is what attracted him the most.

Felicia Miller

As the guy was responding to her questions she couldn’t help but give a slight smile. She was happy he wasn’t boring and actually seemed like he was enjoying the conversation. Felicia enjoyed making friends and she just had a feeling that this guy would be a good friend. It was clear to her that she struck a nerve by talking about him having a job where he was judged based on looks. He seemed like he was deep in thought about it, so she took a mental note of it.

"Hah.... yeah. Interesting choice of words there."

"That's pretty perceptive of you to say; is it that obvious? Actually, I only do some modeling on the side.. I'm really an actor - well, aspiring actor. I'm still trying to break into the business. You might hear my name in some circles; people might tell you that I'm already on the map. I'm not famous by any means, though. ..so don't go asking me for my autograph."

Felicia couldn’t help but say “Ha, I knew you were a model.” She gave him a smile and then replied to everything else he had said “It isn’t really obvious, but it is clear that you take care of your appearance like a model would. I hear it’s hard to get into the acting business, but I think you will make it. I’m sure you are a great actor would love to see you perform.” After saying that it made Felicia wonder if he had just been acting the entire time. She smiled lightly and said to herself "That would be an interesting plot twist." She shook away the thought assuring herself that he didn’t seem like the type of person who would do that type of thing.

“It’s a pleasure, Felicia. Beautiful name
it means ‘happy one’, doesn’t it? I’m Xander.”

As he kissed her hand and introduced himself Felicia felt like sensation of joy wash over her. She could do nothing but let out a giggle. When the sensation passed her focus was back on Xander. She sat there and thought for a moment, she had never heard the meaning of her name. To her the name Felicia was just her name and nothing else. She never thought about the meanings of names she simply took them for what they were. “I’ve never heard the meaning of my name; I’ve never thought it meant anything other than Felicia.” She chuckled a little hoping he didn’t think she was some kind of fool.

“As for why I’m going to Japan..? Well
I could tell you, but I doubt you’d believe me even if I did. Let’s just say it’s a “vacation.”

Felicia wondered what he meant by something she wouldn’t believe. Her reason for going was surely far more unbelievable. Going to Japan for a magical school for people with powers, yea that is totally believable and not crazy.

“What about you, Felicia? Why are YOU going to Japan?”

She couldn’t help but smile at his tone, he was quite the interesting person and she was happy to have met him. “Well I’m going to Japan for school. There is a school that specializes in my field of study. It’s supposed to be an island off the coast I hear it’s an amazing sight.” She felt like telling him she was going to school wouldn’t raise suspension it’s not like going to school was unusual at all. Plus she left out the details of the school that would make her seem crazy.

To Felicia the flight didn't seem to take long at all, she spent most her time talking to Xander and the day seemed to fly by. When the plane landed Felicia grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. She looked toward Xander and gave him a smile. "It was fun talking with you hope we can do it again sometime." She exited the plane then went and claimed her luggage, she stood outside the airport for a while seeing if she could find a taxi. She eventually found one that no one had claimed, she walked up to the driver and asked for a ride. He nodded and after putting her suitcase and bags in the trunk she got inside. Felicia took the letter out of her pocket and said "I need to go to the coast." The driver nodded, so she assumed he knew what she meant.

It wasn't a long ride to the coast. She spent most of the ride looking at her phone, when the taxi stopped she looked up and saw the beautiful coast. She got out of the taxi and handed the driver some money hoping it was enough. He didn't say anything so she assumed it was enough money. She dragged her bags and suitcase out of the trunk of the car and put them on the ground beside her. She waved to the taxi driver who gave her his final nod and drove off. She said to hersef as she gathered her things "I better get walking dont want to miss the ride." It didn't take her long to find the helicopter the letter talked about. She got closer and saw some people standing near it. She recognized two of them because they were on the plane with her. The other however she had never seen before. She walked up to the group and simply said with wide smile "Hi"

Jeez Japan sure is alot hotter then the Yukon. Shiloh huffed as she stopped the stayed in the little shade a small tree had to offer. She probably just should have taken a taxi like a normal person and not decided to walk and wonder as she made her way to where she needed to go. Sighing she decided to give up on the walking idea, cause knowing her she'll get lost anyway and end up missing the ride to the island. She reluctantly left the shade of the tree and tried to hail a taxi, which after almost 10 minutes seemed almost impossible as they all zoomed past her.

"I have to be the most unluckiest person in the world" she muttered to herself as she frantically waved her hand as another taxi passed by. Screw them all to hell. Groaning Shiloh gave up and returned to her long walk in the heat. It took another half an hour of walking before God seemed to bless her with a miracle as a taxi pulled up alongside her and rolled down their window.

"ăĄă‚‡ăŁăšæ‹äșșがäč—ăŁăŠăă“ă«ćż…èŠă§ă™ă‹ïŒŸ" the Japanese taxi driver shouted out at her and Shiloh could only blink in confusion.

"I'm sorry I only speak English" Shiloh said back to him. The man nodded and just pointed his thumb at the backseat while he stopped the car completely.

"Oh thank you" she said in relief as she put her bags in and got into the taxi. She had to show the man the map of where she had to go, since they couldn't communicate any other way. The taxi driver seemed to understand and started to drive. It took twenty minutes to get to her destination but when they reached it a smile almost graced Shiloh's feature's when she saw the helicopter.

"Thank you, sorry all I have is Canadian money" Shiloh apologized before paying the man, grabbing her bags and getting out of the taxi. She noticed an older man and as she got closer she could hear small chatter from inside the copter.

"Hello" she shyly greeted the older man whom just nodded as she lifted herself into the helicopter to see three people. Two handsome young men and a pretty red head. Shiloh took the seat opposite of them and mutter a soft hello before averting her gaze to the window beside her.

Seryn Lane

Walking out of the baggage terminal, and once again dodging the American family with the stroller, he was presented with the sight of the main lobby. He had to sidestep a few more people in order to get out to the transportation wing. He had his suitcase at his side as he hailed a taxi. Apparently the taxi system is similar everywhere. Good for me. The driver greeted him in Japanese, presumably asking where he was going. He was at a loss for words for a second.

"Ni hao ma. Ni shuo zhong wen? Ing wen?" Seryn asked in Mandarin.

"Wo hen hao. Xie xie." The driver responded in kind. Switching to English the driver continued, "And I do also speak English. This is an airport taxi, after all." I expected as much. Seryn thought.

"You wouldn't believe the things I hear from American tourists, thinking I cannot understand them." He turned back, fully facing Seryn. he looked about to be the same age. "You are Chinese? Where did you learn English?"

"Taiwan." Seryn responded. "English is the world trade language, is it not? Yours is near perfect." The driver nodded.

"Fair point." He smiled, pleased that he knew that type of slang. "My name is Akira. Yours?"

"Su Leng."

"Very unique. So, Mr. Leng, where do you need to go?" Seryn pointed out on a map where he needed to go. Akira nodded.

"Ah yes, I grew up near there. I will have you there in a flash."

"Take the shortest route, if you will."

"Ah, you're wiser than you look, are you not?" Seryn merely inclined his head.

"Geronimo!" Akira shouted lightly as he dived into traffic.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

"... and that's why my mother never let me have a cat." Akira finished as they pulled up near Seryn's-hopefully not final-destination. The taxi driver's eyes widened as he saw the helicopter. "Big helicopter."

Seryn was similarly surprised, but didn't let it show. "I doubt the safeness of such a vehicle." Handing Akira the appropriate amount of Yen, he stepped out of the taxi.

"Nice conversing with you, Akira."

"My pleasure, Mr. Leng."

Akira waved as he drove away. Seryn returned the gesture. Turning from the driveway, he walked about 50 feet to the landing pad. Stepping up to the landing pad, the older man piloting the helicopter motioned for him to get in. No identification needed? Does he recognize us on sight? Cautiously, he slung his backpack in front of him, making easier to sit down. There were five people already here, two females, and two males, one of them unreasonably fit. Not wanting to bump everyone on the way to the back, he sat next to a gray-haired girl with... purple eyes? Contacts? Whatever it was, Seryn made no attempt at conversation. He only really talked to people when he had to.

And maybe not even then.

He rotated his shoulders, and leaned back slightly in his chair, preparing himself for the flight.

Adriana Maud

"Adriana? So you were also summoned by them too? Wow, such a coincidence", Krys smiled and then sat on a seat next to Adriana.

“Yeah, something like that
.” She said with a smile. She nodded to each newcomer as she pondered their fate. What would happen when they arrived? What if it was just a trick to get them there and exploit their abilities? She did not need anyone knowing what she could do. She felt panic rise in her throat at the thought.

‘No if you panic you might lose control.’ She thought to herself as she pushed the terror back. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"It looks like almost everyone on that plane was summoned by the Academy. Well, not very surprised though" Krys said. Adriana shrugged. She didn’t like to talk about herself.

"Ni hao, wo di ming zi shi Yang Yue Fan, ni hao ma?" Krys said to the very attractive newcomer. Her mandarin was a little rusty, so she didn’t try to contribute to the conversation.

She took a moment to analyze each individual thoroughly, hoping to find some allies. She started with Felicia.
She stood about 5’6 or 5’7 and probably only weighed 115Ib wet. In other words the girl was tiny to the point it was almost ridiculous
honestly Adriana was a tab bit jealous of the girl’s size. Her hair was dark brown and it was just down past her shoulders. She had Hazel eyes that kind of made her look sad
and she had scars, nothing too noticeable though. Adriana wondered where they had come from
The girl seemed very straight forward and if Adriana had to guess she would assume she was also pretty hard working. Two traits she thought she might be able to work with.

Next she moved to Krystain. He was tall
like SUPER tall. He was a little on the slender side though he was still muscular. He had blonde hair which covered his forehead and brown eyes that almost matched her own. From her observations Adriana noted that Krystian swung for the other team, which was slightly disappointing because he is supper cute
then again she could use a male friend on her side. He seemed very kind, passionate and open. She liked that about him.
She then moved onto the other girl. She didn’t know her name, but she was beautiful. She had a head full of shocking silvery white hair that reached her mid back. Her eyes where an almost scary violet
very uncommon
actually unheard of in the human race as far as she knew
then again her being able poison people by touch was unheard of as well. Adriana estimated she stood about 5’8 or 6’0 and she could only weigh around 110lbs. The only thing she could gleen from the girl was that she was kind of shy.

Last but not least where the two men whose names she did not know. First was the extremely buff, extremely attractive man with short brown hair that had been the first on the Helicopter. He was obviously the quiet type since he hadn’t said a word since everyone had gotten on. You could see the Hispanic ethnicity in his face and build
very attractive indeed
though she was looking for allies not playmates. She turned her attention to the other man whose name she didn’t know. He was definitely of the Asian persuasion. He stood around 6' 1, with black hair the fell on his forehead and brown eyes that, in her opinion, had a kindness in them. He was slender but toned
a nice mix. Definitely attractive as all get up
.

‘Down girl, allies not playmates’ she thought to herself as she grinned devilishly to herself.

“Merde est tous les gars sur ce vol juste super fine?” She asked under her breath in French.
“Poi di nuovo una ragazza potrebbe abituarsi a tutto questo l'uomo caramelle in giro.” She said changing from French to Italian. She had a habit of randomly switching languages mid-sentence because she spent so much time in so many different places she really didn’t have one native tongue.

So far for allies, if shit hit the fan, she thought she might just have some luck with a few of the new class mates.

(Translations: Shit are all the guys on this flight just super fine?....Then again a girl could get used to all this man candy hanging around)

Seryn Lane

A few words were exchanged behind him. He picked up a few names, Adrianna, among others. He checked his watch, now newly adjusted to the time zone. 2:17 PM. Focusing his attention on the man piloting the helicopter, Seryn observed the fine clothing the man was wearing. Whether he was trained or not to fly the helicopter, he certainly didn't look the part. He pulled out his smartphone as he got a text from Seth.

U still alive?

What do you think?

IDK, you could proly be the person that stole his kidneys.

Seth, what do you want?

Can I use your DotA account? Mine got hacked.

No.

Ugh.

Seryn put away the phone, ignoring further texts. He sat there, joining the silence as a couple of the conversations died down. He almost did a double take when he heard someone speak Mandarin behind him. Turning slightly to face the source, he saw a someone, about an inch taller than he was. He introduced himself as Yang Yue, or Krystian. Or Christian. Probably the former. Krystian was definitely Asian, like Seryn. The hairstyle was somewhat similar to Seryn's althought blonde, more extreme, and less unkempt. Frowning slightly, but quickly correcting the expression, Seryn greeted him and responded in kind. There was something about how he looked at him a moment ago.

"Krystian hao. Wo hen hao. Wǒ de míngzì shì Su Leng. My English name is Seryn. Pleasure to meet you also, Krystian."

He, not having anything else to say, turned back to his original position to face forward. Seryn hoped he didn't come off as rude, as his mind turned to other topics.I haven't seen everyone, but it seems the people that here so far are around the same age, and relatively fit. Coincidence? He furrowed his brow slightly, deep in thought. If there are other people like me, with abilities similar or even superior to mine, the implications... His train of thought was broken when saw the red-haired girl looking at him, Adriana, supposedly sizing him up or something of that nature.

He disregarded any other possible reasons.

"Can I help you?" Seryn questioned politely as she started muttering to herself in a language unfamiliar to him.

"Nice to meet you too Krys the name is Lucas but most just call me Luke" Luke said grinning widely. As more people joined them Luke took notice of everyone. A pretty dark haired girl came in and following shortly after to a girl with silver hair and violet eyes....wow was all Luke could think. Who on the world had violet eyes? and why are they strangely so alluring? Jeez do magically powers give everyone to ability to be gorgeous? While Luke listened in on the conversation, forcing himself to stay quiet cause knowing him the moment he opened his mouth they wouldn't be able to shut him up. When he heard Krys's comment of being surrounded by hot straight as ruler guys Luke couldn't help the deep chuckle that slipped past him, the sound bouncing off the metal walls of the copter. Having traveled alot in his life Luke picked up on alot of languages so when he heard the pretty red heads, Adrianna, comment he chuckled again.

"Stai cercando abbastanza bene da soli" Luke replied to Adrianna in Italian. Then he just couldn't resisit anymore, the tempation was to strong and before he knew it the question fell from his mouth.

"So what's all of yours power's, like come on I'm pretty sure we all know we are here for the same reason" that's Luke alright, always the direct approach.

Translation
"You are looking quite fine yourself".

"Yeah, something like that...", Adriana smiled and responsed to Krys.

"I know, right? This trip is getting more and more interesting every minutes", Krys chuckled. Come to think of it, up til now everyone who was sitting right there with Krys was so awesome, if wasn't perfect. Everyone has their own traits and they were so perfect that Krys was slightly surprised. But they all have a same thing is that they were easy-going and easy to get along. Well, most of them. But if he is going to work with all these people, he wouldn't have to be worry about getting bored.

"Krystian hao. Wo hen hao. Wǒ de míngzì shì Su Leng. My English name is Seryn. Pleasure to meet you also, Krystian.", Seryn responsed.

"Yeah yoo too. Well, I hope we could get along soon", Krys smiled then turned to another person. He doesn't want to bother Seryn if he don't want anyone to do so.

"Nice to meet you too Krys the name is Lucas but most just call me Luke", Luke answered with a wide grin. Krys blushed a little when he saw Luke grinned. "Oh my God, give my heart a break...", Krys thought. Then Krys smiled his gummy-style smile, "Nice to meet you, Luke. Hope that we can get acquaintance."

After that, Adriana and Luke started to converse in weird languages, which made Krys felt like he was from another planet. He cleared his throat, "Now everyone, I think we shouldn't turn our conversation into a language class. Let's just speak English from now on, okay?"

"So what's all of yours power's, like come on I'm pretty sure we all know we are here for the same reason", Luke asked straightforward. Krys frowned a bit, "Interesting...", he thought. Then he turned to Luke and said, "Well, I'd gladly to show you my power, but I think it'd be safer to practice them when we get to the Academy. So wait til then, okay? And I'd glad to see all of you guys' powers too", Krys chuckled happily, it easy to understand since he has always wanted to meet people like him for so long. He can't wait to learn more. "But besides from supernatural powers, I also have some hidden talents, just wait and see", Krys winked.

Krys then turned and take a quick glance at the gray-hair girl quietly. She has a very rare beauty, which is what makes her special. Especially her purple eyes. Krys then frowned when he remembered a sentence in the ancient book stated out that "The watcher whose eyes carried the hollow shade of purple shall bring forth the demise of a cycle..." and Krys has been wondering how was that even meant since then. But after Krys has took a glimpse at her shyness, he just shrugged, "Hope that she won't carried out the apocalypse", he secretly thought.

“Can we get the show on the road....?”, Adriana muttered softly, but somehow Krys heard what she said. So he whispered to her quietly with a soft smile, "I don't think he will take us there before all 12 people has arrived. I'm tired of waiting too. But let's just wait, okay?"

"Oh, and everyone", Krys clapped his hands to gain everyone's attention, "if some of you think this is some kinds of scam or joke just to bother us, please don't worry. One of my ability allowed me to test if one's words are true or not, I've tested what has been written inside that red letter and it seemed that the person who called himself "The Elder" said the truth. Hope that help."

Having Felicia around to talk to on and off throughout the course of the flight made the 18 hours just fly by(pun intended). For that reason, Xander was grateful for the girl's company, but he was also grateful for getting to spend such an arduous journey with someone so 'aesthetically pleasing'. That girl had a mischievous (read: flirtatious) charm about her that Xander meshed with perfectly. "What a woman." he thought.

Xander nodded awake as one of the flight attendants, a beautiful young blonde girl, Xander guessed probably in her early-mid twenties, nudged him gently.

"Sir? Sir...?" she repeatedly as she gently rocked his shoulder.

"Oh, jeeze." he exclaimed as he groggily realized they had landed. "I'm so sorry, miss." he said apologetically as he sprung to his feet, retrieving his bag from the overhead compartment and swinging his backpack around his shoulder. "How long since we arrived..?"

"It's no problem at all! It happens more than you think." she giggled and smiled. Her smile was bright and warm; it made Xander unconsciously smile in return. "We arrived in Kyoto approximately 20 minutes ago. Myself and Brenda, the other flight attendant, took turns trying to wake you every couple minutes. I do apologize!"

"No no no, I'm the one who should be apologizing. I don't know what came over me, I was just exhausted. I'm incredibly sorry for keeping you folks. Have a good one!" he exclaimed as he darted off the plane.

As he maneuvered his way through the airport and searched for his luggage at the bag-check, Felicia's words from one of their conversations on the flight earlier rang through his head. "How many 'island schools' does Japan have, exactly..? Is it like a thing over here?" he wondered to himself. "Do you think she's going to the same place as us..? But wait, that would mean..."

"That would mean she's a superhero, too!"

"Would you hush up? We're not superheroes."

"Says you."

"Says US. That's a stupid way to think about it. Our powers don't mean anything like that. They're not even that great. Superheroes can like fly, and shoot bolts of lightning from their eyes... or something. What am I going to do? Persuade my enemies to sleep with me to death?"

"Hahaha... 'sleep with me to death'. I crack myself up..."

He moved himself out of the musings of his own internal dialogue, realizing his suitcase must have gone around the conveyer about 3 times in the time it took him to zone out, and zone back in. He lifted it off the belt and pulled it behind him as he was greeted by the balmy Kyoto air. "Whoa.... this is awesome." he thought to himself as he looked around, taking in the exotic surroundings. "What a cool place. I might have to do some exploring around here before I head back to L.A."

He hailed a cab and followed the instructions in the letter. "Gyojo coast, please." he called to the driver, not even mindful of the fact that the guy might not speak English. "Right away, sir!" the man called back in an eagerly polite tone. "Damn," Xander thought. "a cab driver addressing his passenger as 'sir'? I guess I'm not in Kansas anymore."

The cab ride only took about 15 or 20 minutes. The sun was sitting just over the horizon, sending vibrant swathes of orange and pink across the evening sky, teasing at any moment to plunge below the earth. He marveled at the sight, admiring the way the sun lingered just over the ocean, its blinding reflection off the dancing waves tickling his eyes as the strong sea-breeze blew back his hair. If there was one thing Xander could appreciate from living the past 2 years on the coast in L.A., it was a sunset over the waves. He gave his hair a quick brush-through with the hand that was free, attempting to push it back towards his forehead as he approached an idle helicopter in the distance. As he got closer, he immediately observed two very unusual things:

The first was that this was no ordinary helicopter. It was massive. It looked like it could fit an entire theater of people.

The second was that there was a very curious (and particularly creepy) old man standing rigidly just outside the helicopter's door.

Xander apprehensively approached the man. "Hi...." he started awkwardly, not really sure what to think. He didn't really know what to make of the current situation...
Despite the fact that the place he was in was no doubt beautiful, he couldn't help but realize in the back of his mind just how ridiculously farfetched the entire scene looked. He attempted to keep those thoughts in the back as he once again tried to address the unresponsive man. "Is uh... is this where I'm supposed to go? You're the flight to the Zodi Academy?"

Again, the man ceased to respond. He merely pointed at the door without saying a word. "Ok then.. *cough* rude *cough*" Xander said deliberately incoherent as he fake-coughed. He hopped into the helicopter. It was a lot roomier than he expected, and actually really nice inside. An impressed "Whoa.." unintentionally escaped his lips. He looked around and saw a group of really interesting looking people before realizing the awkward impression he must have just made of himself.

"Uhhh... hi." he stated, again somewhat awkwardly. He looked around, quickly scanning their faces while also looking for an advantageous seat, AKA one where he wouldn't have to be super close to anybody. Sadly, despite the size of this helicopter, it was relatively compact and there was almost no place to sit that wouldn't put him right next to someone else. "Bleh." he wretched internally at the fact. "Waaaait a minute...." his eye caught a familiar face; it was Felicia.

"Felicia..?" he asked, thanking the heavens for the relief of being given one person on this flight that he was at least somewhat acquainted with, immediately popping a squat right next to her as a result. "What the heck are the odds?" he grinned devilishly at her. It then occurred to him that the others must have been waiting here for quite some time, as everybody looked fairly settled in, and there was some amount of conversation carrying on between them.

Xander didn't want to pull any unwanted attention, but he knew it was inevitable. He knew that he had one of those faces that just stood out, the kind that people wanted to address and talk to. It had been happening to him his whole life. "Curse my good looks.." he thought mockingly to himself. He suppressed a self-inflicted smile that was attempting to fight its way to his face. He looked around and observed each of the passengers. "These are some really interesting folks" he thought to himself, noting in particular one girl with long grey hair and curiously purple eyes. "Nice contacts." he commented on her internally.

There were also two notably tall Asian boys, one with light hair and one with dark. They seemed like opposites; the one with the darker hair looking out the window, seemingly trying to avoid any interaction, and the lighter haired one striking up conversation with just about everybody.

Then he noted another girl, this one also familiar. It was the girl with the fiery-red hair from the airplane, the one who stumbled nearly into Xander's lap. "I'll bet she's probably tanked right now. I'm jealous.." he thought.

Next to her was a tall and super fit guy who Xander immediately noticed was just blindingly attractive. "Holy..." he thought to himself in amazement, trying to keep his jaw from dropping. "That. I'll have that. Wrap it up to go, please." he mused internally. He didn't attempt to hide the fact that he was eying the guy up and down, observing every inch of his body, pausing for several seconds on his biceps in particular. "Unf.." he had to restrain from biting his lip. The guy appeared to be of some kind of Hispanic or Latin descent; he just had that look.

Xander sat patiently waiting for takeoff, attempting to keep his mind occupied away from staring down Mr. Eyecandy. He also tried desperately to avoid making eye contact with the light-haired Asian boy... He didn't know why, but for some reason Xander got a really strange energy off him, the nature of which he couldn't even comprehend at this moment in time.
