Kazu Koichi's Story

[[ Sorry, I don't since not everyone has gone yet...it's just a bit hard. Though right before dinner might be a good place to wait for people to catch up?]]

Eric finished the bok choy and threw it into a giant bowl. He gave Kazu the sternest look he could muster, saying, "C'mon, Kazu, you don't have to eat it. It's there for anyone else. Not everyone has the same taste as you." Eric gave him a small pat on the shoulder, then ran off throughout the rest of the house. He shouted, "Hey everyone, dinner's almost done! Please come on to the table!" He made sure to go through the whole place, then ran back to the kitchen to save some. Looks like not everyone's quite home yet.

Eric strolled back towards the house, staring at the moon. He had remembered that they were almost out of food, and had gone grocery shopping during his walk. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a black blur of movement and heard footsteps. He quickly turned towards the gate and caught a glimpse of someone running inside. 'Was that...Yuji? I wonder what he was doing out this late..He was running really fast. I hope everything's alright.' Right as Eric walked through the gate, he saw a figure lying on the roof.

He jogged inside and began removing things from his bags, putting them in the proper places, giving a nod to Maya and Kaji in the kitchen. "Hey, I just got back with some groceries. Anyway, I'm going to bed. Good night." After that, he quickly ran to the closet to grab a blanket. Eric was worried about Kazu, who he had seen earlier on top of the house. He made his way to the roof, where he found Kazu sleeping. "Geez, Kazu...why can't you pick a better place to sleep? You'll catch a cold." Eric grinned a bit as he muttered this to himself, and carefully covered Kazu with the blanket he had brought. He hoped that it would be enough, and that the blanket wouldn't fly away.

As he climbed down from the roof, Eric overheard Ren and Miku talking to each other. 'Well, they seem to be getting along well. Ah, young love...Wait, what? I'm not older than them. Geez, I sound so old.' Eric quietly snuck by them to his room, chuckling a bit at himself. He shuffled into his room and immediately collapsed onto his bed, completely worn out. Eric lay there, thinking about love and their curse of this family, but was so tired that he fell asleep very promptly.

Eric was jolted awake by the commotion downstairs. He looked at the clock next to him. 'It's only been an 30 minutes? I wonder what's going on..and geez, it's almost morning. I didn't know my walk was that long.' He pulled his school uniform and stumbled down the stairs. It took him a bit to wake up, but when thankfully he didn't need much sleep - though half an hour was a bit of a stretch. He walked towards where the commotion had been, but saw Kaji pass by carrying Yuji. Yuji? I guess something did happen..I hope he's okay. I'll check back on him later, after school maybe. Eric followed Kaji's trail in reverse, but when he arrived everyone was already leaving, and he only found Kazu standing there.

He grinned at Kazu, glancing at the blanket he was holding. "Didn't catch a cold when you were up there, didja?" He vaguely noticed a person behind Kazu, and peeked around to check who it was. Eric saw Sayu and immediately turned red, remembering what had happened at the bath earlier. However, on a closer look, she seemed really tired looking - in fact, she was wearing different coloured socks. "Uh, hey, S-sayu, you okay there? You seem really worn out..and your socks are mismatched, by the way." Eric worriedly looked her over as he said this. "Maybe you should sleep for another hour, after all, being tired during a test is pretty bad too. We'll wake you up before we leave..."

Ren honestly had no idea what was going on. Once he and Miku stepped inside the house to find Yuji on the ground, half-dead, everything went to hell. Kaji came pushing and yelling and screaming and then, like a kidnapper, scooped up Yuji and took him back to his bat-cave. All of that happened before Ren could even get a word in; he was lost and confused, worried and panicked. Things were happening too fast for him; he could feel a panic attack coming on. Get a hold of yourself! There was one collapsed body on the floor; they didn't need two! Ren bit down on his bottom lip, drawing blood to keep his sanity. Kaji yelled at him and Miku to get some food, but how could he eat knowing that Yuji was fighting death itself?

For a while, he stood there, pondering, thinking, wondering what he could do to help things. Nothing came to his mind, and before he knew it, the room had been evacuated and it was time for bed. Deciding it was the best course of action, he slept for a few hours, dreaming odd dreams about sharks and red-headed boys getting amputated. He hadn't even realized how tired he was, ending up sleeping right through his alarm. It was only when there was a large commotion and screaming that Ren fell right out of the bed, falling to the ground in a messy, tangled war of blankets. Quickly, Ren jumped to his feet and ran for the door, kicking off the covers that hung around his feet desperately.

"Off! OFF!" he mumbled, finally kicking the last blanket toward his bed. Ren passed by Kazu.

Who only had a blanket on.

"Can people even wear blankets?" he asked aloud, furrowing his brows. "Kazu, what happened? Did something eat your clothes?" But the boy walked right past him and into his room, saying not a word. How odd. In an effort to find out answers, he descended the stairs and saw Sayu at the bottom.

"Sayu, what happened?" he asked. "The tension in the room is thick enough to suffocate a small cat...!"

Eric waved to his friends as he walked towards the house. "See ya later guys, I gotta go this way!" He strolled home, enjoying his little walk, until he reached the gate. He walked into the house to find Kazu with a melted popsicle all over his hand. Eric couldn't help himself, and snickered a bit, but opened his backpack and tossed Kazu a pack of tissues. "You'd better lick or wipe that off before it gets on the couch. Not only will Kaji be mad, but I have to help clean that, ya know? But anyway, you didn't come to school again. You okay?"

He went into the kitchen to grab a can of Coke before coming out again. He noticed Akashi at the kitchen table, with his books. "Akashi, doing your homework? Is it the apocalypse or do you have a hot date? Haha. Well, call me if you need any help, I'll be out on the couch with Kazu." He grinned a bit, surprised at the monkey actually buckling down to get something done. With this, he walked out of the kitchen and collapsed next to Kazu, while popping open his Coke and taking a sip . "Ugh...'Kaji really made a mess, didn't he. That's gonna need to get cleaned up."

Miku blinks and a small smile forms over her lips. It was warm and bright. She always looked so much better when she smiled, but unfortunatly, it wasn't often. "You're right...Thanks Eric..." She says with a small happy giggle as he ruffles her hair. She watches as he walks off and sighs happily, feeling much better after the rough day. She takes her bottled water, which was slightly warm at that point, and decides to go and sit in the living room. As she plopped down onto the couch, smoothing out her hair which Eric had tangled up,and placing the bottle on the floor besides her foot, Miku spots the bags with all of the snacks in it. Her eyes sparkle with excitment, but she wasn't sure if she was allowed to eat any of the delicious treats. Hesitently fingering open the bags to gaze through at the contents, she spots one of her favorite treats; a candy apple!! Miku lets out a gasp of surprise. She wanted so badly to snatch the treat right then and trot off with it. But Miku wasn't like that...What if it was someone elses? She didn't want to steal anyone's treat...With a soft wine, Miku plucks the candy apple from the bag and walks outside, trying to find the owner. She sees Yuji and Kazu. "U-um...excuse me....Do you know who's this is? I...found it in a bag on the couch...." Miku mumbles shyly, already feeling bad for having even taken it from the bag....

Miku has to force herself to hold back a squeel of happyness. She glomps the cat boy in a big hug, forgetting their curse... "Oh thank you so much Kazu!!" She giggles. Suddenly a puff of smoke surrounds them. As it fades away, there is seen a small orange cat and a large, gray horse. The horses main was pitch black, but it's body a shiny, soft grey. The horse neighs appoligeticly, pawing at the ground with it's hoof. Miku nudges Kazu with her nose slightly, being gentle since he was so much smaller than her. She really hadn't meant to do such a thing, she had just been so happy! The horse whines with worry that Kazu would be angry with her. Miku suddenly sees the candy apple on the ground, wrapped neatly. She impatiently tries to unwrap it with her mouth, but it is too difficult and she can't seem to get it opoen. Drooping her ears, she whines out again, swaying her tail.

Sayu hadn't said anything in reply to his words and comments; instead, she laughed aloud and then ran off right before his eyes as though there were little dust rats gnawing at her heels.

"What a weirdo!" he exclaimed, shaking his head in disappointment -- as if he was one to talk!

There seemed to be a lot of commotion going on around the house, first in the kitchen and now in the living room. Ren entered, wondering what was going on; he seemed to have the greatest timing in the world, because just as he entered, there was a horse in the middle of the crowd as well as Kazu who was, once more, naked.

Ren looked to the horse and then to Kazu. Naked. Well, one could consider the horse naked as well... Shock coated his expression like a bitter honey; he couldn't believe his eyes! He couldn't believe his imagination! How could Kazu be so horrible? So bizarre? How could he have such odd hobbies and yet no one seemed to mind? Of course, it wasn't good to be judgmental, but still, this was beyond weird. If no one was going to speak up for the rights that animals surely had, then Ren would be the one to take the sword, arm himself, and fight! Fight the world! Fight the atrocities! Fight people like Kazu!

"Kazu!" he shrieked, his arms waving in the air as though that would have important effect to his words. "Why, Kazu, why?! A pure, beautiful horse such as this?" He pointed to said animal with both his hands over and over again, emphasizing the fact that it was "pure and beautiful" by using wild hand movements and repeated gestures. "First Sayu and now, this poor creature? What is the matter with you? Have you no shame? Have you no remorse? No conscience? Are you not getting enough 'action' from your friends at school?" Ren headed over and petted the horse sorrowfully and sincerely, hoping that it was not traumatized and wouldn't hate the entire human race for one man's mistake.

"Kazu, I know it's difficult to control your hormones, but I beg of you -- please! No more! No more pain! No more suffering! No more of...of this!" Ren pointed to Kazu in all of his nakedness to make his point. "You're breaking us all apart! Put on your clothes, you crazy ol' coot! What, have the mermaids eaten your eardrums, thus making you incapable of rational thought? My friend, this is not the cavemen ages! We do not simply take off our clothes willy nilly! We do not simply violate innocent horses and girls! That is looked down upon in society, Kazu. Indeed it is."

Miku neighs happily, chewing at the candy apple that Yuji nicely unwrapped for her. She was happy Kazu wasn't angry with her. His purr was so cute she wished she could hug him again. But of course, there was no need for that. Her tail was happily swaying from side to side. Eventually, all that was left of the candy apple was a slobbered stick. Licking at her lips, Miku's ears perk up, hearing Ren run up behind her in a ramble. She was so happy to see him and happily nudged his hand with her head. Everyone one was laughing and it was strange. She couldn't help but laugh as well, which came out as multiple neighs which could almost sound as a laugh. But she needed to move somewhere fast before she turned back. Although they were family, the thought of being naked around them was quite embaressing none the less. Picking up her clothes from the ground with her teeth, Miku quickly trots to hide behind the house. The last thing seen is her tail. A puff of smoke can be seen and suddenly Miku walks back around, clothes on and smiling awkwardly; rubbing at the back of her head.
