Gwen seems like she has a rough and harsh exterior, but she truly cares for those around her. She is just constantly angry because she feels like everyone in the town is trapped. She has a hard time getting along with others because of her brash, shrewed personality. It is all because she believes in honesty and doesn't lessen her word to make others feel better. She is aggressive and assertive, which is reflected by the way her mood changes like a tempest. She believes in freedom and is very interested in the mechanics of other societies and species. She's very likely to go up to any creature and try to make conversation to learn about them. She is curious and often known to ask inappropriate questions to get a better understanding of a person and his or her culture.
Gwen believe that every being has a right to freedom. That doesn't mean she disrespects the law, but rather that it is an injustice to try to limit and restricted people. She is often known for going for night time flights for the feel of the fresh air. She spends most of her time reading about others and researching different species, including humans. She has published many of her findings. Humans believe that her work is thee study of myths, while the town knows her research is true. Also, because she believes in free will she only uses her powers in dire situations since she feels so bad about taking someone free will away.
She loves to share all that she has learn, often telling her students to come by at anytime. However, she will not hide grotesque facts. If a creature tends to murder, or has disgusting rituals she will tell you all the details. She is impeccably organized and her study has tons of notes and files for all creatures. She has been a witness in many trials for the supernatural for behavior analysis.

Gwen rarely or ever uses this. She believe it is wrong to take a person's free will away. She often sings at local karaoke places, which seems to memorize audience, but never takes their choice away. Besides her persuasion the only other thing she has are massive leather wings that let her fly through the sky.

Gwen was raised by her father after her mother died when she tried to escape from the city. Her mother also believed in free will, and wanted to see the world outside of just one city. However, she was caught and sentenced to death by the so called president. Thus her father, a man who had barely looked at his child, was forced to become a single father of a ten year old that was constantly under the eye of the government. Gwen's father saw his daughter as an alien object and the only thing they were able to bond over was their thirst for understanding other supernatural beings. Following in her father's footsteps Gwen has spent her life studying history and anthropology just to have some type of relationship with her father. Over time she came to the realization that she truly enjoyed the scholar life she had chosen.
Having grown up in the city Gwen knew most of the people that lived there, and thus they knew of her curious nature. She often wrote articles for the news paper about interviews she had done with it's citizens. When her father died twelve years after her mother, the news paper did their very own article about the harpy, and how her only wish was to have the freedom her mother dreamed of. Thus she takes part in petitions and movements to try to gain that freedom legally so all supernatural beings could live in peace in their dream lands. She knows that this town is not for everyone.
