Scarlet has shourlder-length red hair, that stands out against her light skin. Her skin is a very light, ivory color with a dash of pink at her cheeks. She's rather small, at only 5 feet tall, and about 106lbs. Although she's not very big, her attitude makes up for it. She has light grassy green eyes, thickly rimmed with long dark lashes. Her full lips are a gentle petal pink color, but there's little maks from where she gets nervous and bites her lip. It's a rather bad habbit of hers. Her body weight is often shifted forward and her eyes are determined, like a bird about to take flight. She has a very lithe, delicate build that makes her seem breakable, but you would think differently once you got to know her. They say you can tell a person's life by their hands: Scarlet has small ahnds with faint callouses that sprawl across her palms, and a few scars on the backs of her hands. She's not at all to 'delicate' to work, in fact working puts her at ease.


Scarlet is a very fiery, untrusting girl. She knows she has trust issues, but has moments when she just lets everybody in, and becomes very protective of them. She is quiet the enigma; you never know if she will be kind and bubbly, or rebellious and fiery. Overall she has a good heart, but she covers it up with cold words and sometimes -but not that often- a seductive look. She just hopes someone can see through the mask she's grown to protect her heart from the pain of love. Scar has good reasons for being cynical, but she would never just openly share these reasons with someone. But when you really get to know her, and not just the brave face she puts up, she can be the kindest, most tender girl. But the few people that have gotten under her skin have broken her heart. Sometimes with her 'I don't care' means 'I couldn't care more'. If you can dodge cold verbal barbs and still be genuine to Scarlet then you could have al loyal, loving friend. But lash out at her, and you could have your worst enemy. She's not known to physically lash back out at each other, but she can have a very sharp tounge. Part of her is very mother-like and will care for any hurt person that comes her way, she'll take them in and heal them. But if you dare hurt someone she loves, you'll never have a chance to see Scarlet's gentle side. It seems like she fears falling in love, and avoids men. She doesn't seem like she wants to hurt anyone, and sometimes will do small, sweet things to make up for what she has done

For an 18-year-old girl, Scarlet has seen her fair share of horrors that could pull a tear from the strongest of men. Often without her father's knowlage, she would work as a nurse in the wars her father has been in. She finds it nice to help others who need it most. Although don't call her a cherity worker- she never speaks of the soilders she's saved. Their faces are burned into her memory, but her lips will never form thier names or even speak a sympathetic word for them if they aren't dying in front of her. Once she fell in love with one of the soilders she saved. Every day she would visit him in recovery, and he seemed to enjoy her company a lot. They where inceperable, until he died of infection. Infection was common- keep in mind this is 1865. This taught her not to get attached to the soilders. Back at home though, she's a good daughter. She doesn't rebel against her father's strict rules, although she isn't always the kindest of company to his guests. But that's only the old, fat, and rich men that often come over. They disgust her, especially the way that their greedy eyes will sweep over her like a fine prize horse their buying then drawl out to her father 'Fine young woman you've got here'. It takes emotions of steel not to slap them. Her father is strict, but it's to be expected from a sargent. Scarlet is very close to Julie. They are the best of friends, and she sees the full effect of Scar's sweet side. She loves to be in Julie's company, although sometimes her father seems baffled by this. Although Scarlet finds Julianna hard not to want to be around. It's rare for execptions like Julie to come up- most people only see Scarlet's cold, uncaring gaze that's just waiting to be impressed. But once you earn her trust, she's an amazing friend. Scarlet has an adoration for animals- she has a kitten named Marzipan, and a horse named Eclipce. Both of them are slightly damaged- Marzipan only has one ear and no tail, Eclipce is blind in one eye. Scarlet has a habbit of loving damaged things, and she doesn't even realize it. Her heart beats to a lsightly different tune, and it's common for people to dislike her for it. She always knows who's a good person, who isn't. She expects a lot of a person just for them to get somewhat close to her, so it says a lot about a person when they are very close to her.
