Appearance: Marko, tall and athletic, has long dark hair and an unshaven face. He wears dirty clothes, all that he can afford, and tries to take good care of his appearance. (In the picture, he is shown in the background, while his wife Leslay is preparing to go to work.)
Personality: Marko's a tricky guy. Personable and noisy, he likes to talk and drink loudly with friends. However, he is somewhat ruthless and willing to do almost anything to survive and provide for his wife Leslay. This includes stealing and going off on quests as a merc. He tries not to show how much he cares, though. He has a fondness for the bottle. He is charismatic and can talk his way out of tough situations, making him a great mediator.
Equipment: An old quarterhorse, a short dagger, a blue sapphire necklace he might have stolen from someone, ragged clothing, a bottle of rum.

Combat Style: Marko uses a swift and ruthless style, preferring to strike first and not give his enemies the chance to fight back. If they do and the fight gets lengthy, he might be in some trouble. That's why he prefers to use his silver tongue to get him out of trouble.

History: Marko was born as a poor boy in Forrae, living on the streets for several years of his youth. There, he learned to steal and thrived from tricking strangers into thinking him starving.
As an older teenager, alone in the world and without a name, he met his future wife, Leslay Verdu, who happened to be a prostitute. He was the only man who paid to spend time with her and yet did not ask for anything more than conversation. Eventually, she fell in love with his charm, though she never quit her job, since she was also poor.
Eventually, the two were married and began living in a poor apartment together, all that they could afford. He spent most of his money to buy rich and beautiful clothing for Leslay to wear, regretting only a little that she had to wear such fine fabrics to such a dismal job.
Leslay is currently pregnant with his child, having finally quit and taken on a role as a housewife. Marko, no longer wanting to steal for a living, has given his savings to Leslay and is preparing to sell himself as a mercenary or somesuch position.

Nationality: Forrae --> Cinnar
Appearance: Sonua has the dark and creamy skin, sharp chin, and protruding nose of her grandfather Marko. Some would consider her beautiful, with her eyes that are as blue as the sapphire necklace she wears as an heirloom. In addition, her dark brown hair is curly and long. Her figure is full and busty, with quite a bit of hidden muscle. She wears the finest of clothing.
Personality: Sonua is one woman who knows how to put on a mask and a show. Underneath all the guises, she is serious and has trouble relating to other people's conversations. She puts herself and her family first, keeping people far away from her heart. However, she can trick even the most clever of people into believing whatever she acts as. Beware.
Equipment: A poisoned dagger, a bottle of rum, a blue necklace that is an heirloom to her.
School of Magic: Devastation
Combat Style: Sonua lacks skill with physical weaponry, though she does know how to use the (poisoned) dagger she carries under all those skirts. She prefers to fight using series of kicks and punches, or, better, with magic. Not to mention her weapon of choice, words.

History: Two stories. Both are true. But the first one is the one that Sonua tells people.
Born in the remains of Forrae to a poor unnamed woman, Sonua was quickly orphaned and left in the desert. Luckily, a group of magi were passing through the region and found the baby girl, brimming with magic. She was taken into their care and raised to be a powerful mage, utilizing the forces of Devastation.
At age ten, she received her first job as an assassin and succeeded. This and other jobs, some of which took her outside of the city, taught the young girl how to travel and use her body for acrobatics. Of course, as time wore on, she grew in size and became an attractive young woman. While she could no longer covertly pass over rooftops and run quickly, she gained new ways to get close enough to kill someone.
She was supposed to kill the young king of Cinnar, who was a few years older than herself, but she failed.

She was going to kill him by taking a job as a maid, which she did. She also planned on flirting with the king, using herself as a ruthless weapon of destruction.
What she didn't count on was falling for him.
After a while, she managed to hook him and get him alone, but she didn't kill him. Instead, the result was the gift of life, nine months later.
People did not know why, but Sonua disappeared from the public eye and reappeared several months later with a young baby and a buttload of wealth.
She retired from her position as an assassin and moved in with a friend who she had met during her time working. He did not know of her abilities. She began learning more about her heritage and background of the lost kingdom. As her son Jencem grew to a toddler, she vowed to never again use her skill. .
However, as a threat spread across the land, she questioned her inability to avoid the conflict.
