XXXvindictive | Kind as he may seem, Luís' dark streak is nothing short of frightening. When someone falls out of his favour, they often come to regret it. The Balceiro's hold grudges, and Luís is especially remorseless.

He knows when he is being used, but he always seems to allow it. People take advantage, and he never does anything to stop it. PERSONALITY Luís is a bit of a cipher, made all the more cryptic through his apparent normality. On the surface, he seems a confident and charismatic young man, an individual always accompanied by a charming epigram and a sideways smile. But then there are the moments when something upsets him; perhaps someone makes a churlish remark about his sexuality, or a crude jest concerning his sister. In those moments, his smile might tremor, and his starry gaze suddenly dulls, eyes shifting to something cold and dead. It is these instances in which Luís betrays a darker side to himself, a stereotype of what Hecate-born are expected.
And then it will shatter again, the causer of the split-second rage will continue, perhaps the conversation will turn to antique furniture, there will be the occasional laugh, the clink of glasses, the ruddying of cheeks as more alcohol is ingested. Everything will seemingly return to as it was the moment before.
But then the culprit will see something at the edge of their vision, something that strikes them to the core. A figment of imagination, conjured from their nightmares. They'll spend the rest of the evening looking over their shoulder, trying to comfort themselves with excuses. I've just had a little too much to drink. My imagination is getting away with me. I'm being paranoid. But the nightmare won't go away. It gets closer, so close that its breath can be felt on the culprit's neck, its hand on their shoulder, its gaze on their back. The culprit will turn, and their worst fear will cloud their vision. Pain through their core, biting, burning. The culprit will scream, and collapse, perhaps even faint.

And whilst all this is happening, where will Luís be? Smiling over a game of cards, or gossiping over drinks, his smile bright and his words smooth. And as the source of his prior ire screams, as scalding horror rushes through them, and everyone rushes to their aid, the coldness will return, and a satisfied smirk will tug at his lips.

Such is the personality of this son of Hecate. A sometimes blurred mass of contrasting traits that never fail to unnerve people when completely revealed. His vindictive side is something he has no shame in, and he exercises his ability to doll out revenge with almost frightening regularity. He is a man (no, a boy) that does not like to be wronged, and when he is, he is a someone that will most certainly do what he can to get even, and then some.

This all being said, Luís is not a monster. In fact, he is typically quite enjoyable company, with a bold personality that often places him in the centre of attention in the better sort of way, the target of praise and encouragement. He is more introvert than extrovert, but can play either side of the court with ease. His is impish, often playing tricks and games on the unsuspecting, and although he sometimes crosses what should be his limits, he is certainly not the type to play a cruel joke on an undeserving individual. His humour is of the witty variety, and his is rarely without a quick quip to respond with. More so, he is a charismatic individual, a good people-person, for the most part. He has a way with charming people, and despite being a total flirt, does not toy with emotions or view people as conquests. He sometimes teases his sister for her constant friendship-hunting, but in truth, he is not especially dissimilar, albeit more subtle. He is someone that has no bias with people, greeting everyone as equals and potential friends as opposed to strangers and possible enemies. He is happy to listen, and open to offer advice, with most of the advice he dishes out being surprisingly sound.
