Introduction

There All Along
Six seemingly normal kids go missing. But there aren't any police cars or anxious nights for parents, waiting for a good call. Instead there are gassed houses, a mind altering drug that forces the memories of someone to be forgotten, passed through the skin of one to another, passing it on, and soon it would be like that person never existed. Childless parents wondering why there's an extra bed, kids wondering why they're so lonely, wanting a brother or sister.
The six kids find themselves at the home of Grey Hurley, a modern day genius who has it made. His father is a former rockstar, now a TV executive, never interferes with his projects, and a loyal aid who would do anything for him. Grey found the super gene, and needed the only people he found to have it to do more research, so he did what every other genius spoiled guy would do. He kidnaps the special six and develops a drug that destroys the memories of super Gene hosts.

Guidelines
1. for the six kids they'll be from 15-19, and there doesn't have to be a strict rule on how many girls v. how many boys. three girls, three guys is fine, so is two girls, four guys and vice versa, just no five or six of one gender.
2. I need other characters also, like someone to play Grey, his aid, maybe his father. help around the house would be fine, plus Grey needs scientist, but I want the six spots for the six kids plus grey and his aid already filled first.
3. I thought of Grey being around 20-25, his aid more along 35-40, I will be flexible about this though if you decide to be either of those characters.
4. The super-powers should be more classic, you could pick from this, list, as long as the power isn't too crazy, up to two powers for each character.
5. cursing is fine, I really don't care about it at all, in the IC at least, it could just be part of the character, but in the OOC let's not be rude.
6. along with that I really don't care about romance either, go ahead, as long as it doesn't get too graphic, this means no cybering.
7. the character Skellie below goes in the description box, and please fill out the basic information above that in the character submission part.
8. If you're Grey's aid then you can decide his name
9. You will not immediately find out your power. give it some time
10. I was going to have it that by the end they find out they were experimented on as toddlers, then suppressed the memories, but I'll be flexible with that and we'll see how it ends
11. in the skellie where it says description, you can put either text, a picture, or both. I don't want any anime pictures, but if you really can't find a real picture, it's fine
12. I want Grey to be a sort of "everyone wants to be him" type of guy and he's not all whiny, and thinks his life is shit, he knows it's great and takes advantage of his good life. So he's not some angsty guy who thinks his life is horrible. But he doesn't know how to connect with people a bit awkward but doesn't show it.
13. Hometown should be in the US

He nodded towards the Arden, Kevin, and Mackenzie as he now knows their name and where they are from. He realized that he too wanted answers from Grey on why they was taken so he said "Grey, you said we was scientific experiments, Well what is the project?" he asked Grey as he is very curious on what his answer was. He then notices Sadie freaking out so he grabbed Sadie by her shoulders as he looked at her "Alright you need to calm down, We can't have people freaking out over everything, we all realized we've been kiddnapped but we all got over it and you need to also" he said looking her directly in her eyes.

The scornful eyes of RJ looked at her as he grabbed her. She had a massive aching pain in her head, and her vision was more than doubled- she could hardly see a thing. She sat there, moaning as all the pains and horrors rushed back into her body. Sadie dizzily got up, ignoring the light drops of blood on the wall, and stumbled back down, looking terribly confused.

She started mumbling through thick and heavy lips, but the only word anyone could pick up was "dream". Then, without even thinking, Sadie latched onto Rj, and wrapped ehr arms around his neck, softly making incoherent noises.

Oh god... the pain in my head it hurts hurts make it stop make it stop why does it hurt

Then she passed out, right as the peircing lancet in her throbbing skull seemed to dull a little and become merely something of migraine caliber. Her thoughs as she slept were nightmarish and traumatic, but when she woke up she wouldn't remember a thing.

He stared at the girl with much confusion on his face. He muttered "What the hell is wrong with this chick?" he said as he watched her, then he felt her latched on to him making other weird noises in ears coming from Sadie, but this time there was words. He couldn't cypher what she said then she passed out in his arms so he looked towards the others as he said "Ummm I think she needs help" he said as he looked at everybody one by one then look back down towards Sadie.

Grey just watched the interaction. "Get her over on the table here" he said, as Sadie passed out. "I've never really tried sedating someone who was impossibly high, but then again I never really planned on it" He muttered. Grey helped Sadie lay on the cold table in the middle of the room. "Might be hallucinating we're monsters" he said, almost chuckling. He thought of drug addicts as weak, he'd done stuff like that before, he had to money to do it, but he never found the joy in it. he sat back on the edge of the table opposite of the one Sadie was now on. "She'll need more attention, rehab to get out of her horrid use" he said, and turned his attention away from Sadie. "So, you guys would like to learn about my project? I don't have all the details to be honest" he said, getting away from the table and to the largest computer screen in the room, and motioned for them to follow. "From what I can see is that you have a certain gene, as I said before, which is incredibly rare, actually... it's more non-existent. Scientist know your links of DNA, well, could easily figure it out. But this one, I've never seen it before, and none of my colleagues have either" he said, and tried to not continue. He didn't want them to know the whole story yet, or what he thought the gene could do, it might go to their heads.

He watches as Grey places Sadie on a table. He then realized that Sadie was high and that she was a possible drug addict. He then focuesed his attention onto Grey as he explained why they was chosen for his scientific experiment. He saw Grey hands moitioning them to follow, he looked back towards the others as he said "Well, I want to know. Who's with me?" he said as he looked at each teenager before walking over towards Grey to learn more about their genetics.

Seeing Grey control Sadie in such a vulnerable state made Mac uncomfortable. It made her mind drift to what could have happened while she was out for god-knows how long. She shivered a bit as her thoughts went to the worst possible place. She hoped with all her heart that nothing bad had happened. She broke from her little thoughtful trance as Grey began explaining why they were there. She furrowed her brow as he finished his brief and non-detailed summary. She could tell he was hiding something.

"So what's so special about our genes? And why can't you just take a hair sample and let us go?" Mac tried to hide the small fear in her voice, and ended up sounding a bit whiney. She hated being cooped up like this, trapped with no easy way out. It made her feel a sick lightheadedness.

"I'm down." Mac weakly replied to RJ, rubbing her temples as she felt a killer migraine coming on. Stress had painful effects on her. "And does anyone have a tylenol? My head is killing me." Her last plea wasn't really directed at anyone as she stared to the floor. Every color was becoming to sharp and every sound too loud, making her let out a painful moan.

"Curse you, chronic migraines." She muttered to herself as she put her face in her hands.

Grey looked at them from the large screen, and saw Mackenzie look like she was in pain. "Sit, if you want" he said, and pointed to a nearby chair. "You need anything?" he asked as he started to go through files on the computer. he pulled up their profiles, showing everything about these kids, from the general things a doctor would have, to some that fell into a creepier category, like their grades from kindergarten, and their internet history. Grey just studied these for a moment. "As you can see you're all generally average kids. No super-genius prodigies, no one with an letter from juilliard praising them. So why would I be interested? why should I be interested?" Grey said rhetorically as he pulled up the code for their special gene. He sat back and watched the mix of numbers switch and change, it was an impossibly long code. He looked at them and sighed. "So what do you want to know, specifically?"

RJ looked at Mac notices that she was in pain, he rubbed her back and motioned towards the chair to sit down, he then looked up towards Grey as he sits behind a desk looking at a computer, he is probably looking through our files to see who we are and things like that. He thought for a moment for a question to ask Grey and the one he came up with his "I want to know is do you have people like us? Like you said we aren't genius, we are everyday people" he said then he looked towards Sadie "Well someone us more than other" he stated.

Sadie dreamt dark and hazy dreams, dreams of other people's dreams, dreams of her controlling those dreams for herself. Sadie smiled a little in her sleep; finally, she could completely control someone's world. Atleast, until she awoke. Sadie didn't want to wake up She blocked off her mental passage to consciousness, and continued her morbid and sadistic dream, after shattering many minds of citizens of her dreamworld

Grey looked at RJ "What do you mean?" he asked and closed their profiles. "I did say that you're all normal people, kids, teens, whatever you want to say. You act normally, look normal and are of average intelligence. But you're special. Like I also said, Tyler, is that I need you for an experiment, you all have a gene no one else other than you six have, in the world, from all the research I've done" he said, staying non-specific.

Sadie's dreams kept going on; manipulating the denizens of her dream world as she saw fit. She gleefully ruined people's lives out of pure spite. She could turn a forest into a volcano, she could rain molten lava on a clear sky, she could make aliens attack, she could do anything. Absolutely anything. Sadie began talking in a satisfied, and oddly calm voice in her sleep, completely at unawares.

"Let's make a boat, a moat, a big turtle shaped boat, make you sleep, and kill you in your dream! What fun! Oh joy! I rather like this. I love controlling other people within a dream. Very fun. Yes. Absolutely."

Sadie continued to ramble on about apparently nothing, not realizing that her words may be the key to Grey's experiment.

Grey looked at RJ slightly surprised. He ignored the pit feeling that they would only be able to go home after years of experiments and when he finally develops something that reverses the effect of the memory loss gas. "Thanks" he said, and scratched the back of his head. He didn't usually feel guilty for not-so-good things he's done, but at that moment he realized he'd ruined these kids lives. He thought of that before of course, but in that moment it truly hit him. He kept a straight face, lying was a skill of his. "If you guys don't have any questions left, I would like to get to some work, and I'll have my scientists carry Sadie out" he said, and turned away from them, walking slowly towards his desk.

Grey leaned over the front of his desk, his back turned to them. "While you wait? explore the house if you want to, there's a TV in the room you woke up in, the living room, and a game room, from here it's the second door on the left when you go up the stairs, there's a pool table, pac-man, et cetera . That's most of the downstairs, other than the dining room, kitchen and formal sitting room. Upstairs there's a loft, then seven rooms. you each get your own, mine is the largest though, it's locked and please respect my privacy" he said quickly. His words seemed all mashed together, his head was swimming, but he concentrated and thought about the notes he had to go over.
