The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 3 authors
MP3 in pocket and ear buds in ears, a lanky, yet well-toned male strolled back and fourth from a large white Hyundai van into a neat, recently built townhouse, added with a porch as well. Yoite, was the male's name, and he was a freshman in college. Sure, when he graduated high school he didn't go immediately into applying for college, because he was aiming for being a writer. At the time, he was only 17, publishing his first book at 18 called "Spectral Essence", a ghost story, going under the name of Y. J. Yong. Currently, the young adult is working on the manga version, having done at least 60 pages by now, aiming it to be a large novel, in hopes of wanting it to be a best seller. The Chinese male has done hundreds of fanfictions, his most famous one being "Call 911 Now!", inspired by the song "First of the Year".
Being an artist has it's advantages as well. Inspired by An He, Yoite began sketching and painting on canvas, as well as drawing intricate covers for his novels. By the age of 17, he was already well-known as an artist, occasionally selling his paintings of anime characters, fruit baskets, and animals. That's where he gets most of his money, though he is not "filthy" rich, like celebrities. I mean, sure, he could go ahead and buy a huge house if he really wanted to, but he couldn't afford a mansion. He saves his money, hence why he lives simple: in a townhouse 3 blocks away from his university.
Sweating, Yoite groaned. It was unbearably hot that day, rare enough. It was too hot to be lugging items back and fourth, he knew that, especially with a jacket on. Resolving his problem, the male unbuttoned and slipped off his jacket. Under it was a grey dress shirt, and so, Yoite unbuttoned the shirt and rolled up his sleeves, that heavy, humid feeling washed away. Muscles rippling with no protest, he wrapped his arms around a brown, cardboard box and lifted, heading to put it inside. It was the second to last box, thank god, and all the while Yoite was singing softly as he worked.
"You're poison running through my veins. You're poison, I don't want to break these chains. Your mouth, so wet. Your web, I'm caught. Your skin, so hot. Black lace on sweat," stopping to breathe briefly, he chuckled as he continued to sing to one of his favorite songs, "I hear you calling and it's needles and pins, I want to hurt you just to hear you scream my name." Once that box was inside, Yoite turned to head back again, arriving to his van and grabbing the last, large box.
"I don't want to love you, but I but I...I want to kiss you, but your lips are venomous poison." A soft blush rising to his high cheeks, he thought to himself. What if I was singing and someone caught me? That'd be awkward, huh. The last box in, the male collapsed onto the couch, panting like a dog. "Alright, now I have to unpack. The semester starts tomorrow, so, I should be done in a couple of hours."
Present Time, Canada
Sure, he didn't take his van to school. He decided to walk, but that's alright. A book, titled "Soul Eater", was open and being read by said person; Yoite. It's the third week of college, and everything is successfully set up in his new home, or, townhouse to be exact. It was a chilly day, and so, he wore his Chinese army hat with the jeans and the button-up, collared jacket that went down to his thighs, with comfortable black leather dress shoes. The usual, since he had an odd style, and an individuality. Of course, he was an otaku, recently getting out of the club meeting that was formed. The guys there were pretty inspiring, and the small amount of females as well. Yoite was well-liked among the group.
Suddenly, an impact against his leg broke his thoughts, and he immediately looked down in curiosity. A small girl accidentally ran into his leg, since there was a playground near by, and she seemed to be playing tag with two other girls and a boy. Crouching down, Yoite looked her in the eyes and smiled. "Be more careful. You don't need to be getting hurt, I don't think you want to make your mother worried now." He rose a soft, pale hand and gently patted her head. The child nodded and shook her head. "I don't want mommy to be sad. Sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going. I need to look twice and both ways, like mommy says!"
"Come on. I'll bring you back to the playground. The road isn't safe." Gently grabbing her hand, he led her across the road and to the other children waiting to play again. The child's mother shot him a thankful glance, and went back to gazing at the children. Waving, Yoite turned and left, resuming his place on the sidewalk to head back to his townhouse. Once there, he closed his book and fiddled with his key, inserting it in the hole and turning to open the door. He walked in and was hit with the aroma of lavender, a relaxing scent he enjoyed. He threw his bag onto the couch and sat, crossing his legs, and continuing to read in silence.
The setting is a dark room, with no windows and only one door. A broken light bulb hangs from the center of the ceiling, swinging and flickering as a current attempts to pass a through the mangled wire. Darkness fills the average sized room, only a candle flickering in the corner breaks the madness. Shadows are cast by the warped floorboard, blood can be scene smeared about, only a portion illuminated. An eleven year old girl sits in the corner, her eyes wide with madness. The small pupils quake in her brown eyes. She clutches her face, leaving streams of crimson on her pale cheeks. She sits, crumbled on the ground, shaking. Long black locks fall around her face, drops of blood fall from their damp tips.
Heavy footsteps break the silence, as a tall man strolls into the room. The girl scrambled into the corner, holding her arms out in front of her. She screams as he reached for her, "Why are you afraid? It is I who should be afraid of you Eva...you a made quite a mess here...." The figure grips her by the hair and lifts her up off the floor. Hr body dangles in his grip, tears begin rolling down her cheeks washing away the wet stains. The black mass leans over her and grins, his white teeth flashing in the candle light.
"I can make you forget...I'll make it all go away...Would you like that Eva?"
The girl sobs, dropping a cleaver from her grip. The metallic sound hitting the pools on the ground echoed through the room. Weakly she whimpered...nodding in agreement. Without hesitation the figure recoiled, lifting his arm high in the air. Bringing it down quickly he drove his fingers into her eye socket. As she screamed the candle light flickered out.
Present day
A black cat wandered through the sidewalk, weaving between legs and bags. The students pay the stray no mind a they busily make their way fro building to building. Her toes are light as she walks, prancing down the street to turn into an alleyway behind some town homes. Her long tail flicks behind her as she turns disappears around the bend. Looking up, some lights can be seen shining through the windows. Hopping up onto a fire escape, she jumps up the bars, stopping on a nice balcony. There was nothing truly compelling the animal to stop, though once she found herself there she became rather curious. She stretches, and begins sniffing the air, walking over to sit by a glass window. An intoxicating aroma filled the air, possibly coming from the house.
The cat sits for a few minutes, staring into the warm home. A boy can be seen inside, though it appears he is alone in the large house. A nostalgic expression forms on her small furry face as she peers in, though after spotting movement inside, she quickly darts to the other side of the patio and up onto the iron post. Her tail swings back and forth, as she peers back to the door with wide eyes. An old woman exits the home spotting the the cat, she chases it down to the apartment below, where a young man is settled in reading a book. The cat leaps against the door, pawing madly, "Meow! Mer-ooow!"
The woman follows the cat down the fire escape and onto the patio, scooping it her by the scruff.
"Hey, Is this your cat?" she hollers in, knocking on the window, "Hey! This thing has been sneaking around my birdhouse! You should keep it inside..." She crosses her arms, with the one-eyes cat dangling helplessly in her grasp.
Ema glided along the sidewalk, the humans that milled around her hardly even ackowledging her presence. That was one of her charms. She didn’t like being noticed by large crowds. Well, she wasn’t all that remarkable; she wore a normal middle school girls’ uniform. The only things truly odd about her appearance were her bloody red eyes. They were often hidden under her ebony bangs, so that was a good thing. Although at least a thousand year old, Ema was terrible with crowds.
The black cat was just ahead of her. It was not normal. Sure, it was one-eyed, but that wasn’t what interested Ema. The cat was a supernatural being. Ema hadn’t made contact with one in years, and she was actually (dare she say) excited. She kept to the background, pretty much stalking the cat. She followed it to the porch of a house. Ema was not concerned about being seen; her invisibility charm was still in action, therefore it would be impossible for any mortal to detect her presence.
The cat started madly pawing at the door and meowing like crazy. Ema backed up as a lady came and picked it up, yelling at the boy inside. How interesting.
"That woman. Everyday she's knocking on my window about "this" or "that", and blaming me or accusing me." The male muttered, gazing down at the cat in his arms before heading to the couch he was previously lounging comfortably on. He set the cat on the cushion next to him and tilted his head, long bangs swaying to the side. "One eye?" The oblivious Japanese/Chinese boy murmured to himself, curious about what happened to the cat beforehand. "Never mind that, but, hm." Delicately brushing a couple locks of hair away from his silver eyes, he leaned forwards to see if the cat had a collar: apparently, it must be a stray.
"No collar. Stray.." Voice hushed, a soft, petite smile spread across his pinchable baby face. "Well, then. I wouldn't mind if I had a cat. Would you like to live with me?" Yoite asked, unintentionally fluttering his eyelashes with silent glee.
The place was nice, especially the soft cushion that soon supported her from below. "Mer-ow" she peeped as she stood, arching her back and prancing around the cushion.
"One eye?"...Never mind that, but, hm...No collar. Stray.....Well, then. I wouldn't mind if I had a cat. Would you like to live with me?"
As the boy examined her the cat leaned against him, rubbing against him. As his finger's trailed she turned, wiggling her face under his hands once more. The sweet sensation of being scratched behind the ears. She responded to him with another quick, "Mrow," as the cat sat up on her back feet and stood, resting her paw on Yoite's cheek and licking him with her small sandpaper tongue. As she curled up on the sofa she continued to look out the window, staring at the same empty spot. Her ears twitched a bit, but after a few moments she lowered her head, resting it on her paws.
