Full Name
David Wesley Jones

Nickname
Family and friends alike know him as Davey. Nothing else. People who call him "Dave" are usually the ones who are strangers and are trying to become "chummy" with him.

Age
17 going on 18.
(His birthday is August 12th, which is approximately in two days.)

Gender
Male

Sexuality
Heterosexual with Sapiosexual tendencies. It's not that he can't learn to love average girls, it's just that he has a taste for those more on the witty side.

Hair Colour
His trademark thick, curly hair is pigmented jet-black. However, his family believes that it is only just a very VERY dark shade of brown.

Eye Colour
His eyes are such a deep brown, that most people believe his irises to be black in color.

Height & Weight
Stands at 5'6. Weighs 160 lb.

Distinctive Markings
Besides his hair, there is nothing remotely distinctive about his skin or facial features. If you were to call something about him distinctive, it would probably be his voice. He speaks in a mix of English and American accents, making his dialect rather unique.

Clothing Style
Davey dresses in a such a way that makes people believe he is some sort of grungy, hipster kid. His outfits are a mix of both comfort and style. The clothing he wears is usually darker in tone, but no so dark that he seems like a negative nellie. He has a sunglasses collection, and shows it off during the summer months. Even though he's not one to get fancy, he is a lover of tuxedos and bow ties.

Personality
|{ Free-spirited | Artisan | Overconfident | Socialite | Cunning | Flirtatious }|

Davey is the artist/entertainer of the group. A people person, he is only comfortable in situations where he is around people. A take-charge, hardworking person who can do extraordinarily well under pressure, he's the man to go to whenever you need someone to volunteer for something risky. Davey seems like he has no doubts in his mind, and if he did, he hides that negativity extremely well. Winsome, vivacious, and slightly flirtatious, he's a master at conversations. Because of this, he is somewhat popular around fellow artisans and people of great importance. He may not be an elite himself, but being someone everyone likes to hang around, he can sure as hell party with them.

Speaking of parties, Davey is one of those people who knows where every festivity is going on at any given moment. He knows the names and locations of every club, joint, and popular hang-out spots in town. He's a "good time charlie", as the old folks would call it, and finds nothing more fun than downing some alcohol and not coming back until the wee hours of the morning.

However, even though he has a bright, laid-back reputation and classic charm about him, he's not entirely trusted by everyone. Although he does it very rarely, Davey has been known to use cunning and deceptiveness to get some of the things he wants. Basically, he knows how to get what he wants, even if he has to get his hands dirty for it. People like him for his ability to make fun of those who are pretentious and cocky. However, sometimes he actually is being pretentious and cocky. He's done a lot in his life so far, so his self-esteem is higher than the average joe. His confidence can easily lead to his downfall in many situations. Despite the fact that most down-to-earth people steer clear of him, he doesn't mind, because he's not a part of their crowd anyway. He may have some flaws, but Davey is genuinely a good person. If there's one thing good about him, it's that he gives everyone a chance, and has the tolerance of a saint. (Even though he qualifies as a sinner.)

History
David Jones was born and raised in London, England. He has been a musician practically all of his life. His grandfather taught him how to play the piano when he was six, and from there he learned how to sing in act. Soon his mom was convincing him to audition for West End shows. By the time he was eleven, he had performed in two, and was portraying "Gavroche" in the stage adaptation of Les Misérables. You can say that he made a good amount of money and fame as a child actor.

And then his dad died. It was very sudden - none of the family was prepared for it. Consequentially, Davey's mother wasn't the same. She started to push her children a lot more. David especially felt a lot of pressure, and soon he had crawled into a quiet, stuttering, introverted, self-conscious shell.

Suddenly, the family was selling their apartment and moving to America. It was in the eighth grade that Davey met the group of friends. From them, he learned how to become more confident in himself, and became the "entertainer" of the group. It was around freshman year he started to learn how to play guitar, and began writing songs. He started to perform at open mic nights around town, much to his mother's own dismay. She wanted him to stick to theatre instead of become a starving artist. However, being a free-spirited individual, Davey rejected the rules and boundaries theatre maintained. He did well in school, and is planning to go to Desales University in the fall. He was not supposed to come to the beach house party, but due to recent changes in plans, he is coming as a surprise.

8:50

Khloe woke up to a slight twing in her head. She groaned ad slowly opened her eyes, which were a bit stuck due to the fact that she fell asleep in mascara. She glanced over to see that Lacey was asleep next to her, a halo of curls envoloping her face. That's when all of last nights events flooded through her. She groaned and raked her hands through her hair. After some serious reluctance, she climbed out of her bed and paded to one of the bathrooms. She turned on the shower but went to the mirror first. She wanted to see how she looked, she wanted to memorize this feeling, so she'd never have to feel it again. Her hair was plastered frizzy, her eyes had black smudges along the bottom, her cheek had a faint black streak along it, and her eyes were red from crying. She groaned loudly. Why me?, she thought as she slipped into the shower. She sighed, letting the hot water and steam engulf her. She thoroughly scrubbed her face, her body, and her hair.

When she opened the bathroom door the smell of Vanilla and honey suckle. She had completely refreshed herself. Her skin was dewy, her hair deep conditioned, and her skin softened. I am pretty, I can have any boy I want She chanted. She walked to her room with her head high but when she slipped in she sighed. Lacey was still sleeping so she grabbed her clothes and got dressed in the bathroom. She slipped on her sexiest bikini's. It was a string bikini, but was wired so it still fit her comfortably. She then slipped a long tank ove it that hit her upper thigh, she opted to not put shorts on under it, but packed a pair of white cotton short shorts anyway.

9:40

Khloe headed downstairs and grabbed an iced coffee from the fridge. She headed downstairs but stopped when she saw Sammie on the stairs. A lump formed in her throat, choking her up but she swallowed it down and walked by, mumbling a "Hey" before passing her. She slipped out the door, to one of the terraces and sat in one of the lounge chairs.

Vanessa smirked as she awoke. She flipped her long blonde hair, out her way and slid out of bed. She was quite pleased with herself. So far she'd pretty much ruined her spoiled little brat cousins vacation and found a hot guy to play with. After showering, she slipped into a tiny bikini and a pair of cheeky shorts that showed the bottom curve of her butt. Then skipped down the stairs where she saw Sammie. She grinned her cat like grin before poking out her lip and saying "Poor baby" She sneered, Perfect little Khloe doesn't like you anymore because you took Rylee? By the way, nice job. I mean you could have any boy in the group, especially since you want every boy in the group and you take the one she wanted. Even better the one she made herself pretty for" She giggled "You are cold hearted Then skipped happpily aaway.

It was 9 am - thirty minutes after David Jones and his family were supposed to leave their house and begin to embark on their journey to the Bahamas. They were going on vacation for many reasons. The first reason was that Meredith, his mom, and Cormoran, his brother, needed a break from their busy, schedule-filled, caffeine-fueled lives. The second reason, seemingly less important than the first, was that it was his birthday week.

Although it was something the average human being would be thrilled about, Davey was dreading the Bahamas more than a cat hated seeing a dog. It wasn't that he despised the place, he just disliked the people he was going to the place with. He would much rather be spending his birthday with his close friends than two sticks in the mud.

Right now, he was sitting in his living room, flipping a pen into the air and catching it while he was sprawled out across his sofa. His brother sat straight in an office chair, eyes focused on the important message displayed across his laptop's screen. Cormoran was never one to talk, especially when his brother was around. Their bags, all packed and ready to be used, were spread all across the floor. All that was left to do was wait for their mother, who had been on the phone for thirty long minutes. To Davey, it seemed like an eternity.

"Okay," he heard his mother's voice from the kitchen. She sounded disappointed. "Thank you. Goodbye." She hung up, and sighed loudly. "Boys," she said in a dismal tone, "Can you both come in here please?"

When the brothers had entered the kitchen, their mother began to speak. "So it looks like our vacation is going to have to be scrapped."
Cormoran raised a brow. "Why?"
Meredith Jones sighed again, anger written in her eyes. "Turns out there's been bad flooding from a hurricane, and now the hotel we're supposed to be staying at has been damaged badly and needs repairs."
His brother's face went blank. "Can't we just stay somewhere else?"
"Afraid not. All the other hotels in the area are filled with residents because of all the damage the hurricane has done. I'm sorry boys, it looks like we're not having a vacation this year."

There was silence. Meredith looked hard at Cormoran. Cormoran then turned his gaze to Davey, and in that moment, the seventeen-year-old realized what this demolished vacation meant.

"YES!!!" he shouted, a huge smile covering more than half of his face. His brother and mother jumped back in surprise. Davey then grabbed his keys from the table, and sprinted to the living room. Undiluted in excitement, he quickly grabbed his suitcase and guitar case, all the while shouting "YES!!!" over and over again. His family members were beyond confused. When Davey had reached the front door, his mother cried out for him. "WAIT!!! she yelled infuriatingly, "WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?"
"TO THE JERSEY SHORE!!!!" he replied, slamming the door, and running towards the driveway. Cormoran and Meredith then heard one last "YEEEEEESSSS!!!" from outside before the sound of a roaring car engine filled the house.

"I bet you know exactly how it feels to be jealous of Sammie"

Ellie woke up in a daze, the last words spoken to her still bouncing around in her aching head. Had last night really happened? She put a hand on her temple, which seemed to be covered in perspiration. With pressure in her neck, she slowly looked around. Everything seemed fine, except for the fact that many pillows from her bed were covering the floor around her. She had thrown them out of anger after Vanessa Hart, Khloe's cousin, showed up and practically tore all of the good feelings that everyone used to have apart. That girl was like vaseline to the group's fire, and she had no idea why Khloe had even let her into the house in the first place. She couldn't even begin to imagine how hurt everyone must have been from last night's quarrel...

And then she saw her notebook, wide open, laying upon the desk next to her. She slowly glanced over it, but nothing was there. It was just a blank page. She hadn't written in it last night, even though she wanted to. But then again, did she really want to? Now that all of this had happened... What if her therapist was going to read it? How would she explain everything to him? Why would she even want to explain everything?

Ellie sighed, placing a hand underneath the cover, and slowly closed it. Perhaps she'd write later. Perhaps she wouldn't write at all.

She knew she needed a shower, which sucked. Still wearing the same clothes from last night, she got up, made her bed, (picking up the pillows as well,) and grabbed a towel. Once Ellie had gotten everything she needed, she went to the bathroom, and locked the door. She stared at the shower for a moment, and then quickly turned on a playlist from her ipod. While the warm water smoothed over her skin, she felt like everything from last night washed off. She listened to the bubbly music ringing through the room. It took her mind off of the past. However, an imminent feeling of fear lingered. In a way, Ellie wished she had been diagnosed with schizophrenia instead of PTSD. At least with schizophrenia, she'd be seeing new things instead of the same scenario that played in her mind every time she passed through a shower curtain. Still, even though the same things happened every single time, each moment felt new to her.

Once she was done, she put on a swimsuit for the beach, followed by a sundress over it. After brushing her teeth and combing her hair, she hurried downstairs for breakfast, just missing Vanessa and her evil words addressed to Sammie. Sitting on the stairs in gloom, a pained expression was plastered onto her face. Ellie tried not to look her in the eyes, or even stare at her. She just passed by. Once she had reached the bottom floor, the doorbell rang.

The front door was inches away from her, so she answered it. Much to her surprise, it was Davey Jones. "Why hello, Gabby!" he said, quickly wrapping his arms around her before she could prevent it. She hated it when he called her that. "What on earth are you doing here?" she asked, "I thought you were on vacation."
"I was going to be on vacation. I'm not going to be on vacation anymore."
Leaving a brow raised on Ellie's face, Davey let himself in. Bringing his luggage in with him, he dropped it on the space next to the door, and upon seeing Sammie, ran up the stairs to greet her.

"Hey Sammie," he said, hugging her tightly. "How are you? I missed you!"
He couldn't have come at a more worse time.

"Hey.."

Khloe, her best friend hardly looked at her, walking past her. Sammie bit her lip, and suddenly the memories of last night came flooding back to her. She started breathing fast.

"Poor baby. Perfect little Khloe doesn't like you anymore because you took Rylee? By the way, nice job. I mean you could have any boy in the group, especially since you want every boy in the group and you take the one she wanted. Even better the one she made herself pretty for. You are cold hearted." Vanessa sneered, giving Sammie the most fake smile she'd seen before, and giggled, skipping away.

Sammie's eyes watered, and she rocked slightly. That wasn't her last night. Who was she? How could she hurt someone so close to her, so badly like it was nothing? Why was she even alive right now? Sammie ran a hand through her hair, it shaking. It felt the whole world was crumbling around her. She'd never hurt Khloe in any way, not if she could help it. The pain stung her heart, and she almost lost herself to her emotions, but fought back, and won, tightly gripping her arm. Her knuckles looked as if they were going to protrude out of her skin.

Why? That was the question that echoed in her head. Why would she hurt Khloe? Well, honestly, it feels as if Khloe is... distant from Sammie. They haven't had a full conversation since she arrived. Sammie wondered if Vanessa was telling Khloe something about Sammie. Was Vanessa going to die if she didn't have her stupid little butt in some type of fricked up drama dealing with Sammie?

Ellie just simply walked by her, but Sammie felt her eyes on her. She couldn't believe herself. She... She didn't know what to do. Her whole social life was crumbling right in front of her, all because of a stupid drinking game Vanessa wanted to play. Vanessa always ruined Sammie. She hated it. Sammie always felt like she was around her mother when Vanessa came. Everyone always believed Vanessa over her, which ignited a flame of anger in her. Sammie was the one who'd helped everyone. She was the good girl, and Vanessa was the bad, but her idiot friends couldn't seem to wrap their tiny little heads around that.

Image

"Hey Sammie, How are you? I missed you!" Davey hugged her tightly, and she hugged him back for a slight second, then let go softly, and curled her arms into one another. "I.. I missed you too." She managed to say, and held back her tears. Sammie nodded, and silently went out the door by the chair Khloe was sitting in.

Her eyes finally surrendered to her emotions, and flooded her face instantly. Sammie let out a small, "eep" as she went down the stairs, at a quick pace, then ran across the sand, away from the house.

She felt helpless. Useless. No one wanted her there now. NO ONE. Not even her own best friend, the one she swore she'd always love, and help. Sammie had cried quite a bit before she finally fell to her knees in the warm sand, under a palm tree. She made sure she was hidden, inside the trees, and curled up tightly, her back to a tree, and just let out her emotions. She was crying so hard, that she sounded like a dying seal, letting out occasional sobbing noises like, "Ahh" or "Eep".

Sammie felt her past knocking at her heart's door, and looked down into the sand through her legs. With her arms resting on top of her head, hiding it, she held them tightly. The tears wouldn't stop, and she couldn't make them.

Image

This wasn't Sammie. She didn't know what was going on with herself right now. Vanessa had a way of... hitting her in the heart, every time, and hard. It's like she took a baseball bat and swung it at Sammie, multiple times.

{“Would you destroy Something perfect in order to make it beautiful?”― Gerard Way }

Last night was a bit of a blur for Lacey, sure she remembered most of the night unlike the others but, still a few moments were a little hazy. And it all got hazy once Khloe's cousin, Vanessa, came into the backyard. Lacey didn't know her that well but, from what she had heard from others about her. She didn't seem like the nicest person to be around. And that was proven true when they all started playing never have I ever. The game at first was okay, awkward but, okay.... Seeing that Lacey didn't have to take a sip on close to any of the questions. But, everything hit the fans once Vanessa decided to bring up the whole Khloe-Sammie-Rylee situation.

Lacey just sat awkwardly with Steve and James as it all unfolded but, rushed after her friend once Khloe had ran off. Vanessa had said something to Ellie that made her run past the young Texan and into her room. "I'm just one person!" She said to herself as she looked towards the ceiling before rushing after her close friend. She just laid down next to her best friend wrapping her arms around her. They talked a little bit about stuff, but Lacey didn't want to get into the whole situation that just happened. She adored her friends, but this love triangle needed to end. And Lacey told her blue eyed friend her opinion. They were best very good looking, sociable, and well, compared to Lacey perfect. They could snag anyone they wanted without having to be afraid about being rejected. Lace on the other hand, felt like she was the ugly stepsister out of all of the girls in the group. Ellie was pretty, strong, sure she was quiet but, she was fighter. Sammie was, well, Sammie.

She was little miss perfect. And Khloe, was just like Sammie. Little miss perfect. Perfect body, perfect height, hair, eyes, everything. And then there was little miss. Lacey love. She was the second tallest of the group after Sammie, but by far one of the curviest after getting it from her mother side. Which she hated, with a passion. She was loud and talkative, never knowing when to shut up or give in. And as much as she tried to change, she always went back to her loud Italian and Greek roots. Sure, Khloe had told her she was crazy about how she saw herself but, just like every other time. She just thought her best friend was being nice. Once Khloe had fallen asleep, Lacey slid out of the bed just to go change out of her now uncomfortable jeans and switch them for a pair of leggings and one of her favorite tops. She kept her hair down as she walked out just to see the boys heading to their rooms. She smiled towards them all but, lost her smile once Vanessa winked towards Steve. She sighed softly before heading to Ellie's room to make sure she was okay as well. She would have asked her but, she was already asleep and Lacey hated waking people up so, the girl just made her way back to Khloe's room and slid back to bed before falling right asleep.

------------------

By the time had rolled around, so did Lacey's headache. She peeked through one of her brown eyes as the sun streamed through the curtains. She turned to her side to see Khloe already up. She pushed her dark locks out of her face as she yawned and stretched her arms up towards the ceiling. She sat up just as her head started pounding even harder than it was when she had first woken up. She groaned as she slid out of the bed not even remembering that she was wear pajamas. She slid her hair in a bun with only one curl slipping out towards her face. She looked herself over the mirror and sighed. She would have gone to her room and get ready but, by remembering how much the guys had to drink last night, they wouldn't be up for at least another 30 minutes or so. And the girls had already seen her 'all natural'. Hair up, no makeup, no fashionable clothes. She was just... normal. The guys probably didn't even know this side of her existed seeing that she refused to let any guys, excluding her father see without her makeup on.

Before heading out of the room, the girl started humming and by the time she was out of the room she was singing Fake I.D by Big and Rich. "Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID. There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see. I got my money and you got what I need," She reached for one of the salted caramel Moonpies she had brought with her before leaving her house. She didn't eat a lot of junk food, but every girl had her weakness. She bit a piece off as she felt someone push past her. Vanessa, of course. But, she seemed to not even notice the girl as she skipped towards Sammie and skipping away. She rolled her eyes as the blonde left the house. She bent down next to the girl with a small smile on her pale face. "Look, junebug... I don't want to get in the middle of anything but look, everything is going to pass over. I'm gonna go cook breakfast." Lacey really didn't want to pick sides and as much as it pained her to have to make little miss perfect 1 feel better... Sammie was her friend and she wasn't just going to make her feel like shit.

She headed back up the stairs to her room to grab her earbuds and then the kitchen to cook the group a good enough breakfast to at least help them get over their hangovers. She put in her headphones and started blasting the song she was singing not long ago as she started to sing again and dance in place, with her hips swinging back and forth as she started grabbing out things for breakfast. She was complete oblivious to the world around her as she danced around the kitchen with her hair falling out of it bun. As she started the stove, she just pushed it all back in a very messy ponytail and started cooking to bacon to go along with the cinnamon buns she had defrosting on the counter next to her.

She thought she heard Ellie talking to someone at the door, but just shrugged knowing it was probably no one she knew or was close to. Seeing that the whole group, except for Davey was in the house.

Steve groaned awake as the sun finally hit his face. "Ugh, Man. Guess those pills hit me harder than I thought." He rubbed his eyes and yawned as he sat up and swung his legs over the bed. "If I felt this bad after taking them. I don't want to imagine what I'd feel like with a hang over and this." He said standing up. He looked around and saw that he crashed in Leo's room. "Fitting, he never showed up. I sleep on his bed."

Steve was the only one who didn't drink that night, or at least as far as he remembers. He could remember what generally happened, but specific details are fuzzy. He managed to sneak out of playing by volunteering to tend the fire, he said something about drunks and fires don't tend to mix. Vanessa only agreed because he made such a good case about not wanting to take an intoxicated teenager to the hospital for severe burns and explaining why a bunch of underage kids are drinking anyway. That, and she didn't know how high he really was.

He headed towards the room he put his stuff and was greeted by a person sleeping on his bed. He shrugged it off and grabbed his stuff and headed back to Leo's room. He changed out of the clothes he had on yesterday. He put on his red swim trunks and his Spiderman T-shirt. Something else happened he knew it, but he couldn't put his finger on it. It had something to do with Lacey. He thought about it for a bit and came up empty.

Steve walked up to the window and saw Khloe sitting in a chair looking very sullen. He felt bad for her, it sucked having someone you want taken from you. He tried to remember what exactly happened to end like that, but he just couldn't recall. He sighed, "Join us this year Steve, she said. You'll have fun, she said." As he finished talking to himself, he saw Sammie walk out fairly quickly and then take off running.

"Aw, Jebus. Things are not looking for this group." He sighed as he decided to head after her. He needed to know her side of things. Honestly, he couldn't care less if Sammie did anything with Rylee, but it isn't like Sammie to openly hurt her best friend. He had to get to her first before anybody else did. Steven headed down stairs and saw Ellie and Davey,

"Sup Davey, Morning Ellie." Steve said walking past the pair. He briefly wondered why Davey here, but he'd find out later. He made his way towards the front door and said, "I'm heading out. I'll be back soon." He headed outside and went to the beach directly. He found her a couple minutes later. He heard her before he saw her.

"You know, you're going to need a better hiding spot than this if you keep crying like that." Steve said kneeling next to her. "I'm not here to call you names, tell Khloe where you are, and judge you. I've already done the last one, and this," he made a movement with his hands, "Doesn't change that judgement I made so long ago. So, cheer up. You have at least one friend that cares about you. Of course I'm not sure how much I count, but it's still one more than Hitler." He smiled at her. "Anything you say, will be kept between us. Unless you spill the beans then I pretty much get a free pass."

Sammie had left just as quickly as Davey had given her a hug. "I.. I missed you too." she said, silently nodding, and then fleeing. Davey knew the expression her face all too well. It was the expression of someone who was holding back tears. He glanced over at Ellie. From the way she was watching Sammie leave, he knew she understood too.

"Okay..." he said in a tone that was mocking annoyance, "What did I miss? What happened?"
Ellie crossed her arms and stared up at the ceiling. "Well..." she started, "Someone came over, and kind of tore us all apart. Yeah...not gonna lie, you came at a REALLY bad time..."
"It was the Loch Ness Monster, wasn't it?" he interrupted.
Ellie gave him another risen brow.
"What? What are you..."
"VaNESSa. The Loch NESS Monster? Jesus, Ellie, I thought you were smart!"
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, try calling her that. See if she likes it."
"I do. I address her by her nickname...Nessie. That's what we call her in England."

For a moment, he caught Ellie's lips curling upwards into a small smile. She sighed, and uncrossed her arms. "Well, I'm heading upstairs. Go say hello to the group or something. Maybe you can cheer us all up."
"Challenge accepted." he said. Suddenly, Steve passed by. "Sup Davey, Morning Ellie. I'm heading out. I'll be back soon." Davey nodded. He saw Ellie give him one last look before stepping up the stairs. He flashed her a devilish smile and sealed it with a wink, making the girl immediately turn her head in annoyance as she proceeded up to her room.

Davey chuckled, making his way towards the kitchen. It was there that he saw Lacey making breakfast. She had her earbuds in, and was moving her hips in time to the music that was blasting on her ipod. She didn't turn her head, and was oblivious to Davey's presence behind her. "Nice shakin', bacon." he whispered in her ear, taking the earbud out momentarily, and then placing it back in once he had finished the sentence. He then smiled at her, and walked back towards the front door. He grabbed his one suitcase, and put it in a room upstairs. He'd figure out where he was sleeping later - for now he just wanted to put it away from the door.

Galloping down the stairs, he made his way back to the kitchen again. He wasn't hungry, he was just looking for someone to converse with. There was a guitar in his hands. He hadn't played it in four days. Davey could never play his guitar when his brother or mom was home. His mother needed peace and quiet to concentrate, while Cormoran just detested Davey playing the guitar. He entered the kitchen once Rylee had finished speaking. He sat on a table, and started to strum his fingers over the strings. Improvisation was like second nature to him.

"Hey Koko! James, Rylee..." he said, greeting them lightly, yet loudly. "So tell me...what happened last night? It's like I'm on cloud nine while everyone else has just finished ascending from the depths of hell. I'm very confused."

Khloe was nibbling on a cherry when James and Rylee entered the room. She closed the fridge, took a deep breath then turned around. She sent a smile to Jamie and was about to ask him how he slept when Rylee mentioned her"Will you please come with me?" He asked before leaving the room. She was about to followed him out the room but whipped around when she heard a familiar voice.

"So tell me...What happened last night?" He said in his happy tone. Her face brightened completely as she yelled "Omigod Omigod Davey!" She said jumping up and down. She turned to Rylee and naturally grabbed his hand to pull him to Davey. "We gotta say hi!" She started, but immediately dropped his hand as realization hit her. She looked at him with her sharp bright eyes, flooded with confusion, hurt, and nervousness. I'm not mad at you and Sammie" She blurted out.

Heat flooded her cheeks as she cut her gaze from him "I feel stupid, and i mean a little hurt that you guys didn't say something to me. I mean you guys didn't think during our friendship to say something?" She sighed and glanced at the kitchen, where Lacey, James, and Davey stood. She couldn't believe how distant she felt from them. She absentmindedly pulled the tiny dress down.

"We should get back in there... or get ready to go to the beach or something." She said babbling toward the end. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to hug him and cry and she wanted him to stroke her hair and tell her its ok but she also wanted to yell at him and tell him how stupid he made her feel and she wanted him to notice how much skin she was showing and she wanted Jamie.. and more than anything she wanted Sammie. She wanted her best friend. And where the hell is Ellie?!

Lacey was in her own little world as she sung along to the Beyonce song on her phone. It wasn't until she felt someone remove her headphone and whisper in her ear. "Nice shakin', bacon." She jumped a little bit, being caught completely off guard before the person behind the voice put her earbud back in her ear. She removed one as she turned around to see Davey smiling towards her. She chuckled and smiled towards the ground in order to hide the embarrassment on her face as her cheeks turned red a bit. When he went back down the stair she softly face palmed herself and sighed. "I am the biggest dork!" She told herself before seeing Khloe. "Morning, beautiful." She said with a smile on her face as she moved the plate of meat onto the counter. "Ok on a scale of starlet to street walker, Where am I?" She sighed softly as she bit her lip and tilted her side a bit to the left. "Well, you do not look like a streetwalker... But, I do think you should put on a small pair of shorts..--Not that you don't look cute or anything! But, I just feel like your just trying to impress someone or prove something. Which you don't have to do, you're one of the cutest people I know." She said before turning back to the oven to put the cinnamon buns in as the hot air hit her face, making her back up just a bit.

"Oh by the way, I'd watch for Vanessa if I was you"

"What do you mean?" She asked as she turned back towards her friend as she walked over to the refrigerator. "Steve is definitely her type" She turned her eyes to the ground as she sighed. "I know. But, it's not like I had a chance before. Now its just that more of a impossibility." Lace turned back towards the stove to turn it off before going next to Khloe as she sat back down on the counter. The young girl took a piece of bacon as she looked at Khloe with a disappointed shrug of her shoulders. "Looks awesome, Lace," Lacey smiled towards the taller boy as she spoke. "Thanks darling."

"I'm starving, but I think I need to go talk to someone else in this room." Lacey looked towards Khloe with a raised eyebrow as Rylee asked Khloe to talk to him. She watched as they left, leaving James and Lacey alone. She didn't notice Rylee pat his friend's shoulder as he walked out, but she did know that Rylee was up to something with the two of them... She just didn't know what it was exactly.

Once Khloe and Rylee left the room, Lacey turned towards James with a somewhat awkward smile. Before turning her attention to Davey who was now sitting at the kitchen table with his guitar. "So tell me...what happened last night? It's like I'm on cloud nine while everyone else has just finished ascending from the depths of hell. I'm very confused." She chuckled softly as she sat on the table. She put her face in her hands as she started to think about last night again. "She ruined everything, Davey. I--..I don't even know where to start. All I really need to tell you is that because of Vanessa, Sammie and Khloe aren't even talking to one another." She said soft enough so Khloe couldn't hear her but Davey could.

Khloe followed Rylee out of the room, and they were almost into the living room when she whipped around. Rylee
heard Davey's voice. Davey? He was supposed to be on vacation of on some tropical island, not Jersey-turned-Hell. "Omigod Omigod Davey! We gotta say hi!" She grabbed his hand, but quickly dropped it, realizing that things were not normal. "I
know, Khloe, but can I say one thing?"
Rylee responded, slightly annoyed. Problems needed to be resolved, not put off. "I'm not mad at you and Sammie. I feel stupid, and I mean a little hurt that you guys didn't say something to me. I mean you guys didn't think during our friendship to say something?"

"Khloe, I swear to god, if it makes you feel any better, we've never done anything." Rylee didn't know what else to say. He didn't want to fuel the fire, and he thought stating his real thoughts and feelings would do so. Why can't everyone just be happy and get along for one fucking day? he thought. He noticed Khloe pulling down her dress. He liked when she wore things revealing, but not too revealing. Not because he thought she should cover up, but because he thought it was straight up sexy.
It was like a game.

"We should get back in there... or get ready to go to the beach or something." She turned around to walk back into the kitchen, but he grabbed the hem of the skirt of her dress.

"I like this on you," he said, eyeing her up and down. "You should wear it more often." Rylee had this problem a lot. He
couldn't help it. He liked to flirt with girls when the were mad. Just girls when irritated in general is adorable to him. He side stepped past her into the kitchen and saw Davey talking to Lacey. "Davey, my boy," he said, loudly. "How are
you? No Bahamas, I take it?"
He sat down next to James at the island and pulled out his phone. I think Khloe's still pissed at me. Did you make out with Lace while I was gone? He found "Jamie Boy" in his contacts and sent the message.

Khloe walked into the kitchen a little flushed. She immediately pulled Jamie into a hug before rushing to Davey. She easily wrapped her arms around him, embracing him in a full hug. Of all the guys she liked hugging Davey the most. At 5'4 Rylee literally had to pick her up, She had to stand on her tiptoes to hug Jamie and even then he had to lean over a little. But Davey's hugs were perfect. I'm so happy your here" She sighed into his shoulder.

Everybody had meaning to Khloe. Jamie was her comforter, he always was there whether it was with a tub of ice cream when she had a bad day or when she just needed a hug. Rylee was her protector, always keeping her from jerks (even though she dated her fair share of them). He pretty much took on that role when she became one off the curviest girls in school (Sammie was the prettiest and Lacey was the most fashionable) Lacey was her motivator, always encouraging her to dream big. Ellie was her supporter, she listened and always gave her a shoulder to cry on. Davey was her calmer, no matter what was going on all he had to do was be there and he calmed her. And Sammie... well Sammie was everything and she was everything to Sammie.

She finally let go and went on the other side of the island next to Lacey. She resumed lackadaisically popping fruit in her mouth. This time raspberries. The truth was fruit was her secret to her naturally red plump lips. She was always snacking on berries. Occasionally she glanced at Rylee but she was still a little annoyed with him and a little flushed from the comment.

"We should head to the beach soon..." She said before turning to Lacey and grinning. 'Maybe we'll see Maxwell and Kevin..."
Maxwell and Kevin , or Max and Kev, were these two ridiculously hot guys who lived at the shore all year long. She'd known Max for years but just introduced Kevin to Lacey. Maxwell was also Khloe's summer off again on again ex. Jamie and Rylee thought he was a douche but she thought he was sweet, and really hot. He was also incredibly stupid.

"I figured we could come back after the beach, change, and go clubbing" She blushed again. Rylee was going to see her. I mean usually she wore cute little girly bathing suits and adorable one pieces. He'd never seen her in anything like that. She glanced at Lacey, panic evident in her eyes. But she couldn't change. She knew he would know she changed because of him. "Shit" She cursed. Now look what she'd done.

Jamie was still sitting at the island when Davey walked in. "So tell me...what happened last night? It's like I'm on cloud nine while everyone else has just finished ascending from the depths of hell. I'm very confused," James laughed and shook his head in distress, and Lacey said explained. James was still too hungover to want to speak to anyone, or even greet Davey. He didn't know why, but he and Davey we're never very close. He didn't dislike the kid, but he had that vibe. The cunning, I-always-get-my-way-vibe. He doesn't seem to care much or respect the smart, unpopular kids. He also has a crush on Lacey, who James may like a little bit.

James stood up, and felt like he was going to pass out. He had a killer head ache, the kind that an aspirin couldn't fix. So he grabbed the little child proof bottle out of a cabinet next to the fridge and downed three of the little pink pills dry. He hated taking anything with water. Just a little quirk that he didn't know the origin of. When Rylee and Khloe came back in the room, he felt his cellphone vibrate. It was a text from Ry. I think Khloe's still pissed at me. Did you make out with Lace while I was gone? Rylee shot a sideways glance at James, and James shot daggers back, and kicked him in the foot. "Ow! You little bitch," Rylee exclaimed, jokingly.

James stood slowly from the island this time, in an attempt to reduce the stars he saw this time. He walked outside and down to the beach. He threw his shirt in the sand and waded into the water a few feet. He heard voices, and saw Sammie and Steve sitting behind a bush. Curious, he walked over. "Knock, knock, anyone home?" He kneeled down next to Sam and Steve.

In this whole fight between Khloe and Sam, James didn't want to pick sides. But he knew what Rylee wanted, and he knew that Sammie was probably the more mentally effected of the two girls. He didn't want either of them to feel bad, so he had to start somewhere. "Hear me out, Sammie. I guess you can listen in, too, Steve, whatever. But I know all about this fight over Rylee. And being his best friend, I know he sure as hell isn't worth losing a best friend. That sounded mean, but we all know he can be a little... Overwhelming sometimes." James took a deep breath. He knew what he was about to say could get him in a lot of trouble, but this summer was about taking risks. "Don't give up on Ry. Please. He really likes you, Sammie. And I honestly think he'd pick you over Khloe."

Lacey looked up from the palms of her hands as she heard Rylee complimenting Khloe. All she did was scoff softly and shake her head at him. She looked towards Davey as rubbed her face. Rylee was not her favorite person right now, and yea sure. They were somewhat friends but, he was hurting Khloe and that was okay with her. "Un-fucking-believable." She said to herself under her breath. She rarely cursed but, she was irritated, she was pissed off, and she just need to release some of this irritation somehow and cursing was the way she did it. She hopped off of the table next to Davey as she walked to the oven to turn it off and grab out the cinnamon buns. She wasn't sure how many people would be hungry, but it was better than everyone being hung over.

She watched James look around the kitchen for something as she watched him with a raised eyebrow. She watched him take a few pills or something before turning her attention to Khloe as she walked into the kitchen. Lacey could tell she was a little flushed but, told herself she would make sure she was okay later once all the guys were gone. She smiled as Khloe hugged Davey, knowing she probably needed a hug from someone and Lacey wasn't much of a hugger in all honesty.

Turned her glace from Rylee to Khloe before clearing throat and hopping off of the table next to Davey as she made her way across the counter to grab a raspberry. "We should head to the beach soon..." She looked at her friend as she looked at her and started to blush a bit. "Maybe we'll see Maxwell and Kevin..." Lacey chuckled softly before shaking her head. "No way, not gonna happen." She said as she looked at the guys before moving closer to Khloe and softly spoke. "Klo, last time I was around him I was a complete dork. I started to babble and couldn't shut up and..--and I started to blushing. Uncontrollable, might I add. And no matter how many times he said it was 'cute', I know he was lying. Babbling from me is more annoying than anything." She said as she continued to shake her head.

Lacey hated being set up with people and Kevin was no exception. Sure, he was good looking and an overall nice guy but, that was just it... He was in the same boat as Davey and Steve. She thought all of his advance or whatever they were, were out of him being nice or being a wingman for Max more than him actually liking her. "I figured we could come back after the beach, change, and go clubbing."

"Now, there's an idea." Lacey said as she took another raspberry and popped it in her mouth. She saw the blush appear on her close friend's face before clearing her throat as Khloe cursed. "Speaking of changing... Khloe, why don't you help me pick out a swimsuit for my first day as a CPR instructor." She said as she grabbed her friend's hand. She stopped suddenly and turned towards Davey. "You never said hello to me, Davey. And that broke my heart." She walked towards him and kissed both of his cheeks like he did whenever saying hello to someone before whispering in his ear. "Welcome to hell." She smirked as she pulled away before going back to Khloe as she grabbed her wrist as they walked out of the kitchen.

She walked into the room that held all of her luggage before closing the door and turning towards Khloe. "Okay, tell me what happened and what's wrong." Lace said as she crossed her arms around her chest.

Khloe bt her lip as she was dragged away by Lacey. Once they got in the room she could hardly bite back the guilty grin on her face. "Ok, tell me what happened and what's wrong" She twirledd a lock of hair around her middle finger. I meean she knew that she should hate Rylee but I mean what could she do?

"Ok so I planned to you know yell at him then I wanted forgive him." She said biting the inside of her cheek. The truth was Rylee ticked her off and broke her heart but he was all she ever wanted. She refused to leave for college wondering what if. "But then I got angry and he gets all hot when I get angry" She ran a hand through her hair trying to put how she felt into words. I mean how could she put this. I mean she always just hoped that one day he would jut look at her, I mean actually look at her. Not as sweet little Khloe. she wanted him to stop picturing her as that little girl with the big chubby cheeks and the Peter Pan collar. "This is my last chance. And if that means going on offense.. I will."

She had to do this. She would forever compare guys too him if she didn't try. And right now trying included pushing his buttons. "I'm going to start by ignoring him and focusing on Maxwell. Oh and looking really hot. " She walked up to her friend and grasped her hand "I gotta do this, for me She grinned before hugging her friend "Now put on a stunning bikini that will knock Stevie, Davey, and Jamie out!"

She slipped out the door before Lacey could protest. She walked into the kitchen and smiled at Davey "Can you go get Ellie so we can head out." She cooly looked over her shoulder at Rylee "You can go get Sammie and Jamie. I'll text Steve and Maxwell, while I wait for Lacey." She smirked at Rylee "You remember Maxwell right?"

Rylee was used to being top dog. I mean he was tall, dark and handsome, and he was mr.popularity. But Maxwell was his total rival. And it drive Rye crazy.

"What, you don't want to stay and chat?" Rylee said as Jamie walked out. He laughed and took a bite of cinnamon roll. "We should head to the beach soon... Maybe we'll see Maxwell and Kevin..." Rylee rolled his eyes. He hated those kids. They both went to high school with the group, and Maxwell was amazing at football. He almost had Rylee's scholarship. And if anyone found out about the whole ACT situation, it would be all his. "I figured we could come back after the beach, change, and go clubbing," Khloe added. She suddenly blushed and looked like she was going to freak out. Her and Lacey rushed out of the room. "That was kind of weird," Rylee stated. "I'm all for clubbing."

Rylee and Davey made small talk, and eventually Lacey and Khloe came back in the room. "You can go get Sammie and Jamie. I'll text Steve and Maxwell, while I wait for Lacey. You remember Maxwell right?" Khloe smirked at him. Rylee hated when Khloe hooked up with Maxwell. She almost always ended up getting hurt. Don't let it get to you. He isn't even that good-looking, Rylee said. "The asshat who you're too good for that repeatedly hurts you? Yeah, I know him." He stood and pushed his chair in, making more commotion than he wanted to. "I'm going to find James and Sam," He walked out, plugging his phone into the wall charger near the stove. "Nobody check my messages." But he actually wanted someone to go through them to see what he said to James. If he and Lacey would just get together already...

He figured James and Sam were down by the water, maybe along with Steve. He found them behind a bush (weird?). "We're gonna go to the beach, so we gotta get ready and get a move on," he said as he approached them. He knew that he wanted to finally talk to Sam, and find out about her feelings towards him, but he didn't want know when to do it. He decided now was the time. It really was now or never. As she passed by him, he grabbed her arm. James noticed, and he turned around to wait for them, but Rylee shot him a look that said "go away, this is private." James winked at him and continued to the house. Rylee looked back at Sam and sighed. "Okay, Samuel," sometimes he used this nickname when he wanted to be serious, but to ease some of the tension. "I want to know how you feel about me, now. Because I'm done with the games. Just please, tell me something."

Her Outfit

She looked at her friend as she twirled her hair on one of her fingers as Lacey raised an eyebrow. She started to listen to Khloe explain what had happened. "Ok so I planned to you know yell at him then I wanted forgive him." She nodded softly as she wanted Khloe to continue. "But then I got angry and he gets all hot when I get angry. This is my last chance. And if that means going on offense.. I will." She shook her head as she pushed her hair back as she brushed it with her fingers.

"I'm going to start by ignoring him and focusing on Maxwell. Oh and looking really hot. " Lacey raised her eyebrow to help herself from rolling her eyes. She reluctantly looked towards her friend as she grasped her hand and spoke to her. I gotta do this, for me." Lacey let go of her hand as she interrupted. "I get that, Khloe but..--"

"Now put on a stunning bikini that will knock Stevie, Davey, and Jamie out!" Lacey rolled her eyes as she smirked. She shook her head to snap out of it but, before she could say anything against what Khloe needed to do. The shorter girl had slipped out of the door, leaving the Italian alone. Irritated. She groaned loudly as she tossed her shirt in the hamper. "And, please. I could but completely naked and it still wouldn't 'knock them out'" She said in her head.

She walked towards her suitcase and looked through her several swimsuits. She looked through her one pieces and two pieces and didn't know which one to wear. And then she remembered the ones James gave her as a graduation present since where she was going it was warm most of the year. She grabbed out a light green two piece and tossed the two pieces on her bed before she stood up and slipped off her leggings and socks before tossing them in the hamper. It didn't take long for the girl to get ready as she put on her waterproof makeup and clothes to go over her swimsuit. She looked at herself in the mirror as she let down her hair.

She looked at herself in the mirror as she fixed her hair but, also ruffled it a bit just to make it look a little better. Lace put the ponytail holder on her wrist before grabbing her bag that had everything in it. Phone, lip balm, touch up makeup. She looked at her phone and noticed a call from James, several calls to be exact. "Damn it, damn it, damn it. The design, god I'm an idiot!" She said to herself as she started to call her boss. She heard him pick up but, not say a word. "Hey James... What's up?" She said nervously. "What's up? What's up, Lacey?! Where is that great design of yours. We need to get started on it!" James Issac said on the other side of the line. He was obviously in his office, only because he was talking louder than usual. "I'm working on it now, I finished most of it in the car last night. And..--"

"Lacey, short version."

"It's pretty much done except for the color. I was thinking red roses, huh? What do you think?" She could hear the older man sigh before trying to think of what to say. "Just..--Just send me a picture, love. By the sound of your voice I can assume that you had a bit too much to drink." Lacey didn't say a word until she heard her boss chuckle. "Your secret is safe with me, just send me that picture and go be with your boyfriend and whatnot."

Lacey chuckled. "No problem, I'll send it now. And just for your information I am as single as one can be." She chuckled once more before hanging up and reaching in her messager bag to pull out her tablet. She clicked on the 'dress' section and went to the dress made of roses that she had designed last night when she was in the car. She pressed the send button and selected the first name which was, of course her boss'. When it sent she put the tablet back in her messager bag as she stood up and headed for the door. Before she turned into the hallway she got a short text from her mentor. And all it said was 'I love it.' She smiled and squealed a bit, stopping herself from jumping up and down like an idiot.

She cleared her throat and put her phone back in her bag before walking into the kitchen with her wedges hitting the floor. She walked next to her friend just as Rylee walked out to go find someone. Probably Sammie, but hey, it wasn't her business and in all honesty she didn't care. She turned towards Khloe with a small smile as she grabbed her phone and sent a text to Khloe.

"Do you really think Max and Kev will be there or did you just want to get a reaction out of him?" When she sent it, her cute little smile turned to a sly smirk in the blink of an eye.

Steve Coltman

As Steve put his smokes away, he saw James walking his way. Steve nodded as they crossed paths and he followed him with his eyes to where Sammie was hiding. He shrugged it off and kept walking. It was none of his business. He said what he needed to say to her and that was it. As he walked he kept playing the conversation in his head over and over. He was sure he should of said something differently. He hated seeing Sammie all depressed, he preferred her usually happy bubbly self. He got back to house and stood outside a couple of minutes to finish his smoke.

Steve's mind was anything, but calm at the moment. Thoughts were coming and going faster than he could keep track of. First he thought about Lacey; she always pushed him to do better for himself and he occasionally listened. He smirked at remembering all those times he heard her say how wasn't as pretty as Khloe. He wanted to tell her that she was wrong. Then his thoughts turned to Sammie, She was fun and she knew how to have a good time. He'd always thought Sammie was cute. As his cigarette burned low his thoughts turned to Vanessa and he sighed as she crossed his mind. Steve had met Vanessa only once before and he didn't forget her, and judging from last night she didn't remember him though. He could live with that. There wasn't much of a reason to broadcast to the gang that Vanessa and him made out a couple of years ago.

It was at a friend of Todd's house and Todd brought him along. He met Vanessa there and they were about to round 3rd base when they got interrupted by Todd telling them the cops showed. It was almost his first time. From that moment on Steve started to get better with the ladies. He lost his V card the next party he went to. He just used the same tactic that worked with Vanessa.

He shocked to see her last night. He looked up and sighed. Steve wanted to get with her before he left. He'd have to do it soon. It'd be a one time thing and he'd forget about her. Then he remembered about Sammie and Lacey. "Shit, if I do that... Ugh." He crushed his cigarette and tossed it in the fire pit. He walked into the door, then grabbed his head and said, "Ouch."

He opened the door and walked inside to the kitchen and saw the group that had gathered there, "I've just found out, I can't walk through doors. Ugh, don't try that at home kids you might hurt yourself." He walked over to the fridge and grabbed an orange. "So, if I remember correctly we're heading to the beach, then clubbing? Alright, so the fake I.D.s are in a safe place." He said peeling his orange. He held on to the fake I.D.s because everybody else didn't want their parents to know about them. "So Davey, the Bahamas get swept away by the ocean? I mean from the way you talked about it, it seemed your mom and brother were hell bent on going and dragging you with them. Anyway, I brought yours just in case you just happen to show up."

Lacey sat on the table next to him, her head in her hands. She looked like a gorgeous statue. "She ruined everything, Davey." she whispered, "I--..I don't even know where to start. All I really need to tell you is that because of Vanessa, Sammie and Khloe aren't even talking to one another."
He chuckled softly in response, filling the air with a guitar riff. He whispered in her ear, just like she had in his "Well, looks like Nessie has struck again..."

Suddenly, Rylee and Khloe were back in the kitchen. "Davey, my boy," Rylee boomed, "How are
you? No Bahamas, I take it?"
He shook his head. "Nope. Our hotel got damaged. What a crummy day..." the last sentence was dripping with sarcasm. He put his guitar down for a split second, wrapping Khloe into his arms. He wondered why Khloe and Sammie had broken apart. They seemed inseparable...what had Vanessa done to finally rip them apart? He would find out sooner or later.

Davey wasn't paying attention for a minute or two. He just sat there and strummed away, enraptured by his twelve string's melodious tones. He didn't lift his head up again until Khloe mentioned the word 'clubbing'.

"Clubbing...now that's a good idea." he said, mimicking Lacey. "I know all of them around here. Karma...Bamboo..." Suddenly, Lacey walked towards him, "You never said hello to me, Davey. And that broke my heart." she said. And then she gave him a kiss on both cheeks, and his eyes widened. Even though David Jones had an unbreakable composure, each peck on the cheek made him blush a little. "Well helloooo, Lacey...." He grinned as she whispered in his ear yet again.
"Welcome to hell."

Later, Khloe had asked him to go fetch Ellie, as they would be heading towards the beach soon. Instinctively, he brought his guitar with him while he walked up the stairs to her room. He found her in silence, scribbling hastily in a blue notebook. "What are you writing?" he asked out of curiosity. She immediately closed it before catching his gaze. "Nothing."
"Ellie, I know you're busy writing love letters to me. You don't have to hide it."
Swiftly, she grabbed a pillow from her bed and chucked it at his head. He used his guitar as a shield, and then chuckled.
"Hey!" he exclaimed. He had thought she had thrown it as a joke, but from the look in her eyes, he could tell that she really was angry.
He changed the subject. "Anyway, I just came up to tell you that we're leaving soon."
"Already? Okay." she said, grabbing a bag beside her and walking slowly over to his side.
"I have to change. Can't go to the beach without a bathing suit. Mind getting the others? I think they're outside."
She shook her head. "Not at all. Let's hope I don't have to talk to Vanessa, though..."

They both shuddered at her name before heading in opposite directions.

Ellie had been writing about what had happened the night before. She hadn't finished - Davey had walked in just before she could get to the part where Vanessa had spoken to her. Like Steve, Ellie hadn't necessarily been drunk. Sure, she had one, two cans of beer, but she wasn't a light drinker either. Some things were blurred, most things were clear. It's like she could still feel everything from last night.

If there was one thing she could feel, it was anger. Vanessa, an evil girl who used emotional manipulation as her weapon, had popped out of the blue, similar to another person she knew who had held her captive in a cabin for two years. At this point in her life, Ellie couldn't stand mistreatment. She couldn't stand judgement. All of a sudden, this rage and hatred started to boil up inside of her. She wasn't quite sure exactly what she wanted, but she assumed that she wanted some sort of revenge on Vanessa. She was just so tired of drama...

Then again, maybe Vanessa's comments from last night made her see the truth about her friends. Now that Sammie wasn't a friend anymore, Khloe was hanging all over Lacey. She passed them on her way to the backyard. They were talking about boys or something...she didn't understand their language. Was that Khloe's nature? Did she just use people, and then replace them when they were gone, casting them out like a leper? Whatever she was doing, it didn't stop Ellie from still pulling out her phone, and sending the Koko she had known and loved a text.

Thinking of you. Sorry about last night. If you need to talk, I'm here.

She headed outside, passing James on the way. "Hey. We're leaving soon" she said. She couldn't help but feel a little bit bad about James's situation. Now that Rylee was dragged into this whirlwind of drama, Jamie was probably on his toes trying to advise him. He was the football star's right-hand man. It was like they were attached at the hip. In a way, she wished James had his own identity, or was a little more independent. He was a smart kid...

Ellie wandered off, heading towards the direction of the beach, where James had come from. There were some bushes nearby, and she thought she was lost, so she figured she'd call them. "Rylee!" she shouted, "Sammie? Vanessaaaa-uuuuhhhh..."

That's when she saw it. Sammie and Rylee were eating each other's lips. They were making out, and Ellie was right behind them. She didn't hide from view. She just stood there, petrified, her mouth wide open and her eyes wide.

"You're right Sam. I do like Khloe. And I don't know what to do," Rylee then said. Ellie silently breathed a sigh of relief. They hadn't noticed her. Not yet..."We need to go get ready. Maybe we shouldn't tell her what happened for now. Let the night play itself out."

Crap. What would she do? She was just standing there right behind them, looking like an idiot. And she was going to die if she didn't think fast. Without giving a second thought about it, Ellie literally dived right into the bushes. Of course, that proved to be a stupid idea once she realized it was covered in thorns.

"SHIT!!!!" she screamed, getting herself out and falling face-down onto the sand below. She felt like a thousand tiny knives were penetrating her skin. There were tiny beads of salty tears in the corners of her eyes as she moaned in pain.

Khloe was lounging on a blanket. She stood up dusting sand off her stomach. She had long since shed the dress and was now in the skimpy bikini. Vanessa's uninvited friends had dropped by a while ago and were pretty much taking over everything. "Hey Gorgeous." A voice said behind her. She turned, poised to turn down some creep again but was swept up into a pair of strong lean arms and thrown over a guys shoulder. She spotted a brilliant tribal tattoo band on one of the toned arms and recognized the guy immediately. "Max" She screeched "Put me down!"

She had to admit she brought him to make Rylee jealous but she was having a great time. Once he out her down she giggled and allowed him to tuck her under his arm.He grinned at her lazily "Why did we break up..agaun?" He asked placing a light kiss on her forehead. "Because you're a terrible boyfriend.?" She giggled as they approached her group.

When they arrived she felt self conscious and nervous but now she felt hot and fun. Then Maxwell came, with his flirty comments and his compliments. She smiled and ran up to her friends. She kissed Lacey on the cheek, hugged Jamie and Ellie, then kissed Davey on the lips. She started feeling touchy feely after her third drink or her fourth. She noticed Rylee, ran up to him, and jumped in his arms. "Hey Rye!" She said with a bright dimpled smile. She giggled as her hair, which hung all the way down to her lower back tickled her thighs. "Hey Rye..." She said with a smile "Will you dance with me tonight." She twirled when he placed her on the ground but was grabbed by Maxwell. "You'll be too busy with me" Khloe frowned "But I like Rylee" She shrugged "Oh well"

Khloe ran back to Lacey and hugged her tightly "Lacey guess what?!" She asked "I'm hot!"

Tiny dots of dried blood covered Ellie's arms and legs. She had been forced to pull out each prick from her skin, leaving it battered and bloody. She felt disgusting compared to all the other girls flouncing around in their eye-turning bikinis. Right now she was sitting on a beach blanket, alone, nobody but Davey to keep her company. She knew that he'd be gone soon, though. He had been playing volleyball with these strangers from New York, and was taking a break to eat some food.

That's what Ellie didn't understand. Davey could make friends with anyone he wanted without trying. Whereas she actually had to put effort into every friendship she made. She had sent Khloe a text, but she had never replied. Had she even received it? Did she not care anymore?

Of course she didn't. While she was giving kisses to Lacey and Davey, she had given her the smallest of hugs. Khloe had a ranking system. It was apparent. Ellie wasn't high in rank anymore, and felt worthless. Besides Khloe, nobody else in the group was really close to her. Sure, she was friendly towards everyone, but her and Khloe had shared an emotional bond.

She watched her former friend skip around happily into the arms of Maxwell, and then proclaim to Lacey that she was finally 'hot'. Where was the Khloe that she used to know? Why was she becoming a product of Vanessa? Now Ellie was hesitant to tell her what Rylee had said to Sammie right after he kissed her. (Or Sammie kissed him, she couldn't remember...)

Her fists then curled up in anger as she heard a guitar strumming behind her.
"Would. You. Stop. That. Idiotic. Strumming. Please?" she said, her teeth clenched. She gave a hard glare at Davey, who had brought his guitar to the beach. Davey's guitar was like Steve's weed - he was addicted to it.
"Alright, alright..." he said, putting it down. "But now you have to stop sitting and moping around. Go in the water, or something. "

She shook her head slowly. Every time Ellie went to the beach, she would either jump head-first into the water, or become a scavenger on the hunt for seashells. She felt like doing neither at the moment. She felt that if she did either one, there would be no point - no enjoyment. Besides, Vanessa's friends were over by the water, and they'd probably judge her because of the prick marks on her skin.

Davey ran off to join his New York friends once again, leaving Ellie on her own again. All of a sudden, she felt tears forming on the back of her eyes. She put sunglasses on quickly to cover them, just in case she did cry. Suddenly, she understood how Sammie must have felt in the morning. She felt absolutely, positively worthless. If she disappeared, nobody would notice...Instinctively, she stared at Sammie, realizing that there was basically no point in being envious of her anymore.
