Full Name
David Wesley Jones

Nickname
Family and friends alike know him as Davey. Nothing else. People who call him "Dave" are usually the ones who are strangers and are trying to become "chummy" with him.

Age
17 going on 18.
(His birthday is August 12th, which is approximately in two days.)

Gender
Male

Sexuality
Heterosexual with Sapiosexual tendencies. It's not that he can't learn to love average girls, it's just that he has a taste for those more on the witty side.

Hair Colour
His trademark thick, curly hair is pigmented jet-black. However, his family believes that it is only just a very VERY dark shade of brown.

Eye Colour
His eyes are such a deep brown, that most people believe his irises to be black in color.

Height & Weight
Stands at 5'6. Weighs 160 lb.

Distinctive Markings
Besides his hair, there is nothing remotely distinctive about his skin or facial features. If you were to call something about him distinctive, it would probably be his voice. He speaks in a mix of English and American accents, making his dialect rather unique.

Clothing Style
Davey dresses in a such a way that makes people believe he is some sort of grungy, hipster kid. His outfits are a mix of both comfort and style. The clothing he wears is usually darker in tone, but no so dark that he seems like a negative nellie. He has a sunglasses collection, and shows it off during the summer months. Even though he's not one to get fancy, he is a lover of tuxedos and bow ties.

Personality
|{ Free-spirited | Artisan | Overconfident | Socialite | Cunning | Flirtatious }|

Davey is the artist/entertainer of the group. A people person, he is only comfortable in situations where he is around people. A take-charge, hardworking person who can do extraordinarily well under pressure, he's the man to go to whenever you need someone to volunteer for something risky. Davey seems like he has no doubts in his mind, and if he did, he hides that negativity extremely well. Winsome, vivacious, and slightly flirtatious, he's a master at conversations. Because of this, he is somewhat popular around fellow artisans and people of great importance. He may not be an elite himself, but being someone everyone likes to hang around, he can sure as hell party with them.

Speaking of parties, Davey is one of those people who knows where every festivity is going on at any given moment. He knows the names and locations of every club, joint, and popular hang-out spots in town. He's a "good time charlie", as the old folks would call it, and finds nothing more fun than downing some alcohol and not coming back until the wee hours of the morning.

However, even though he has a bright, laid-back reputation and classic charm about him, he's not entirely trusted by everyone. Although he does it very rarely, Davey has been known to use cunning and deceptiveness to get some of the things he wants. Basically, he knows how to get what he wants, even if he has to get his hands dirty for it. People like him for his ability to make fun of those who are pretentious and cocky. However, sometimes he actually is being pretentious and cocky. He's done a lot in his life so far, so his self-esteem is higher than the average joe. His confidence can easily lead to his downfall in many situations. Despite the fact that most down-to-earth people steer clear of him, he doesn't mind, because he's not a part of their crowd anyway. He may have some flaws, but Davey is genuinely a good person. If there's one thing good about him, it's that he gives everyone a chance, and has the tolerance of a saint. (Even though he qualifies as a sinner.)

⚘ An actor, not only is Davey good at entertaining, but he can use his ability to lie and deceive as well. ⚘

History
David Jones was born and raised in London, England. He has been a musician practically all of his life. His grandfather taught him how to play the piano when he was six, and from there he learned how to sing in act. Soon his mom was convincing him to audition for West End shows. By the time he was eleven, he had performed in two, and was portraying "Gavroche" in the stage adaptation of Les Misérables. You can say that he made a good amount of money and fame as a child actor.

And then his dad died. It was very sudden - none of the family was prepared for it. Consequentially, Davey's mother wasn't the same. She started to push her children a lot more. David especially felt a lot of pressure, and soon he had crawled into a quiet, stuttering, introverted, self-conscious shell.

Suddenly, the family was selling their apartment and moving to America. It was in the eighth grade that Davey met the group of friends. From them, he learned how to become more confident in himself, and became the "entertainer" of the group. It was around freshman year he started to learn how to play guitar, and began writing songs. He started to perform at open mic nights around town, much to his mother's own dismay. She wanted him to stick to theatre instead of become a starving artist. However, being a free-spirited individual, Davey rejected the rules and boundaries theatre maintained. He did well in school, and is planning to go to Desales University in the fall. He was not supposed to come to the beach house party, but due to recent changes in plans, he is coming as a surprise.

Steve Coltman

As Steve entered the VIP area, he could only whistle. "Damn, Davey. Once again you have delivered." Steve laughed as he patted Davey on the back. "Alright, folks I'd hate to be that guy, but somebody does. We need designated drivers. I'll be one and we need another volunteer. As much as I would like to drive two cars at once it just isn't going to happen." As he finished his sentence the sweet aroma of marijuana filled his nostrils. "Nature calls. Sammie, I'll dance with you after I get back. 10 minutes tops." Steve said smiling. As he made his way to the bathroom the grin on his face got larger and larger.

Steve entered the bathroom and was greeted by a wall of smoke. "I think I died and went to Hell, 'cause Heaven can't be this awesome," He said walking up to the sink. He saw lighters go off and on all around him, and somebody was always coughing. When he got to the counter he checked himself out in the mirror, he had put on a black suit, with his tie tied loosely, and his white shirt was tucked in. He shot himself a smile and pulled out his weed. He rolled up a joint and light it in under a minute. Steve walked over to an empty spot on the wall and leaned up against it.

A couple minutes had past and he had about only took a couple of hits, when a voice startled him, "Hey, could I get a hit off of that." He looked at where the voice came from and saw a cute red head, with green eyes, and wore a little black dress that hugged at the right places.

"Uh.. Sure," For once Steve was at a loss for words. He handed her the joint and soon, his words came back to him. "Wait, isn't this the men's restroom? So, why are you here?"

"I saw something I liked so I followed it." She said handing it back.

"And that would be?"

"I'm not telling."

"Is that so, Well as much fun as this had been..."

"Melody,"

"I got somebody waiting for me, So you can keep the rest of that. I'll see you around." Steve said as he headed out the bathroom. While the door was closing behind him, he could have sworn he heard her shouting about how she didn't get his name.

He finally got back to the VIP section in 9 minutes, "See, told you I'd be back in under ten minutes. Let's dance," Steve held out his hand to Sammie. Something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. He looked over with out turning his head and saw Vanessa smiling. Steve felt his pulse quicken, 'Keep it cool, she's not good for you.'His focus shifted back on Sammie.

Khloe had escaped from the confined space as quickly as possible. She looked around, amazed by the life of the party. Everybody seemed to be in a trance and she understood why. She immediately curled into one of the soft leather couches. When the waitress took her order she shook her head "Yeah, no. Do you have a Shirley Temple?" She leaned her head against the couch, her feet tucked under her. She smiled at Davey "This is Amazing Davie" She shook her head "I don't know how you did it." but it's amazing.

The waitress came back setting their drinks on the table. She went to take a sip of hers when a voice behind her said "This club has the best drinks and your getting that." She turned to see a dark haired guy with big pale green eyes and chiseled cheek bones. He wore a rugby team polo and designer jeans. "Uh yeah I am." She said with a straight face but ended up grinning anyway. I'm Charles She nodded "Khloe

Turned out Charles was a nice guy. They walked over to the bar and started talking. He was here with his friends from college and he did indeed play rugby. He asked her to dance but she wasn't too sure if she could even really move in the low cut dress without spilling out so she declined. But she did give him her number when he asked for it. When she came back to the VIP section she was still grinning a little. After being brutally insulted. by Max and the whole Rylee situation it was good to feel.. wanted in a romantic way.

"Will you guys dance?"[color] She asked as she sat between James and Ellie. She leaned her head on Ellie's shoulder [color=#FA3264]"I feel like we haven't talked all day. I didn't get to ask.." She said moving her hair, which straightened almost pooled in her lap "Are you ok." She tugged on a red curl "I haven't seen your gorgeous smile all day" She pulled out her phone and sent a text to Davey

To: Darling D
Ask Lacey to dance NOW

Then looked at him pointedly when he opened it. She glanced around. Sammie and Steve were dancing, Vanessa was seething at the bar watching them. Rylee sat next to James and she forced Davey and Lacey to sit next to each other on the opposite side facing them. She sat next to James and Ellie.

Everything in the Bamboo was vibrant. The sounds of the booming music, the lights, the decorations...even the people were dressed in outfits that seemed to pop. However, Ellie wasn't popping. She was dressed in a frock that looked like it belonged in the 1920's. (Which wasn't entirely a bad thing, but it didn't stand out in comparison to the low-cut, neon dresses other girls were wearing.) She wore barely any makeup - only mascara coated her lashes, and a touch of nude lipstick, which she had secretly stolen from Khloe's supply of cosmetics, was dashed across her pouting lips. Her hair was tied back in an intricately-braided bun, little strands curling by the sides of her ears, and a flower crown rested on the top of her head. In summary, she looked extremely beautiful. However, compared to everyone else, she felt like a mutant.

She sat at a table with her legs crossed, and a hand resting gently against her cheek. She stared out into the sea of young adults. In a way, this sea looked more dangerous than the one she had encountered at the beach. People were flopping around, grinding each other, crowd-surfing...Ellie felt like a fish out of water.

Kevin came over with a tray of drinks in his hand. "Would you like one, sweetheart?" he asked.
"No thanks, I don't drink." she replied. It was true; Ellie didn't really drink much, unless it was absolutely necessary or if she were under pressure...like last night. She would've offered to be a designated driver, however, she still didn't have her license...
Kevin persisted, "These are all free, y'know. I mean...why waste 'em?"
"I said no."
He stared at Ellie for a moment, and then put a glass of light orange liquid onto the table beside her. "Well, if you won't take one for yourself, at least have one on me." He then winked at her, and walked away. She rolled her eyes. The eighteen-year-old downed it out of anger, thinking it was better to swallow it then to have it sit on the table untouched. She regretted that decision once she could feel the inside of her throat burn. She coughed, slowly realizing that she was most likely going insane.

Suddenly, Khloe appeared between James and Ellie as if out of nowhere. "Will you guys dance?" she asked. Ellie shrugged, took off her flower crown, and started to play with it. "I dunno. If they stop playing top 40, maybe I will."
Khloe then rested her head against Ellie's shoulder. "I feel like we haven't talked all day. I didn't get to ask..are you ok?"
She nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine." That was the second time today she had answered that question incorrectly.

"And what about you?" she asked, turning the question back on Khloe, "Are you okay? Looked like you had a really fun time at the beach, today. How are things with you and..." she stopped herself, realizing James was sitting next to her. It would be a bad time to talk about Rylee. That's when everything hit her; the kiss, the talk with Sammie, Sammie then leaving her all alone and not coming back like she said she would... It was just so pointless trying to make or keep friends. Maybe it was wrong to talk shit about Khloe, especially since Khloe was the only person left who she had considered a close friend...

She then continued, taking a glance or two at the bee tattoo printed onto her forearm. "You look really nice, by the way. I saw you with that guy before. Did you have a good time with him?" She smiled down at Khloe without exposing her teeth, "You should go dance with him. I mean, I've seen the way you dance, and I wish I could dance like you. When I try to dance, it looks like I'm having a spaz attack."

She then looked out into the sea of people once again, her facial expression turning into a nervous one. Ellie wanted to dance, but she was afraid to get up. She wished she could be them...she wished she weren't so alone...

"So you're actually from London?"
"And you actually got in here for free?"

Three waitresses were crowding around Davey as he sat near the table, his leg crossed on top of the other.
"Yes, and yes. In regards to the latter, I found the owner's son this morning, had a little talk with him, played a little volleyball, and I guess he liked me enough to let my friends and I crash a VIP spot."
"Oh my god," exclaimed a platinum blonde, "You must be like, really good at talking to people!"
"I must be, considering the fact that you three ladies are still hanging around..."

They giggled, and in that instant, Davey's phone vibrated in his pocket. He looked at Khloe's text and smiled at her. He typed the words 'I will', and sent it to her. "Sorry ladies, but I'm going to have to ask you to excuse me for a second, I have something important to do, and I need to be alone." They waved goodbye to him, and then disappeared. Davey then turned to Lacey, and gave her a charming half-smile.

"Hey" he said, "So I didn't waste my time getting us into this prestigious club just to sit around and do nothing you know." He extended a hand towards her without saying a word. The vigorous expression in his eyes said it all.

"It makes me feel better knowing they never did anything. Ry said they never even kissed."

When Khloe said that, Ellie's heart fell into her stomach. She then remembered what she had promised Sammie a few hours ago. Then again, was it wrong not to tell Khloe? Ellie Wicks genuinely believed that she was a bad person. Was she becoming even more of a bitch by hiding the truth from Khloe? Then again, Khloe said she was happy. She didn't want to destroy that. Ellie knew that ignorance was bliss, and she didn't want to rain on her friend's parade, which would possibly cause another argument, leading to more silence...

"You are a beautiful little spazz" Khloe said, pointing the rim of her cup at Ellie's face. She stared at it wide-eyed. "And you look so hot that Gatsby would choose you over Daisy"
"Why thank you, Old Sport." she replied in her best Leonardo Dicaprio impression. She was smiling now. It was the widest smile she had made all day. She could smell the scent in Khloe's hair, which made her nose tingle in delight.

"And I happen to know that James is the most spazztastic dancer in the group, because he was my date to homecoming" Ellie laughed louder than usual. "No way! Really?" she said, looking at James with a surprised expression. "I didn't know that you two went to homecoming together! You have to tell me some embarrassing stories later...if you have any."

Khloe then glanced over at Davey, and she did the same. "By the way how did you two ever happen." she asked, "I mean I adore him, but I could never date him. I mean he and Lacey are adorbz because they're so artistic and ambitious but dear god!"

Ellie sighed - not out of annoyance, but as though she were preparing to get something off of her chest. "Dear god, indeed. First thing you she know about Davey: he's an idiot. We dated in eighth grade, before either of us met you guys..." She fiddled with her flower crown, "We sat next to each other in English class and he always helped me a lot with the stuff I didn't understand...He was really shy, so I took the initiative and asked him out. We dated for...three months, maybe two...?" She looked over at the dance floor again, somewhat nervously. "And then all of a sudden, he started to break out of his shell. Which was a good thing at first, until he became really arrogant and stupid...and then we both fought a lot, so he proposed the idea of breaking up. And I happily agreed."

She put the flower crown back on her head, bringing the story to its conclusion. She didn't mention the part where Davey started to gain self confidence once he met Khloe and the gang. Nor did she mention the part where she decided to join the group partly because she found out Davey was in it.

She watched Sammie and Steve dance for a while, and then turned back to Khloe. "So, that's the story of Davey Jones for ya." She stared back at Khloe with a smirk. Maybe she'd ask her about her encounters with Maxwell.

"Anyone wanna dance?" Rylee then asked. Once again, Ellie looked out into the crowd. She knotted her fingers together, and bit her lip in anxiousness. "I guess...I guess I'll go if you go..." she muttered to Khloe.

Her Outfit

Lacey, of course took the most time getting ready. But, seeing that she had straightened her hair for the first time in a year, the time was mostly spent on taming her curls. And, she wanted to waste as much time as possible in order to see which car Davey was getting in so she could get in the other available car. But, even with that it didn't stop the others from making them sit right next to each other.

Lacey was on her third drink as she looked out of the corner of her eye to see three waitresses flirting with Davey. She did her absolute best to not look jealous but, she couldn't help it. It was bothering her. Khloe was talking with Rylee, James, and Ellie about dancing or something while Lacey stayed to herself. She was still embarrassed about what had happened with her and Davey earlier on the beach and wanted to avoid talking about it or to him as long as she could. But, it didn't stop her from eavesdropping on his conversation with the three attractive girls. "You must be like, really good at talking to people!"

"I must be, considering the fact that you three ladies are still hanging around..." Lacey just scoffed as she took the last sip of her margarita. "Unbelievable." She rolled her eyes as she turned to her phone and started looking through her social networking sites. It wasn't until she heard someone saying 'hey' to her that she turned to look towards the voice. The annoyance rushed off of her face as she looked towards Davey who was looking at her with a charming smile on his face. "So I didn't waste my time getting us into this prestigious club just to sit around and do nothing you know."

She chuckled nervously as she shook her head and looked towards her lace boots. She cleared her throat. "Why don't you ask one of your little girlfriends, the ones you just sent away." She asked with a raised eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest. She really didn't want to dance with him, she had already made herself look like a big idiot in front of him for the day and it was too earlier to do it again.

But, the longer she looked at him and in his eyes she couldn't resist. She grabbed his hand before scoffing softly. "Fine" She stood up from her seat and pulled her black dress down a bit as she looked down at him. "I owe you for getting us in here anyway."

"Why don't you ask one of your little girlfriends, the ones you just sent away."
"I was lucky I even got to send them away," he replied with a slight chuckle, "They wouldn't shut up, and they were starting to annoy me, anyway...as I'm sure they were annoying you." He held out his hand again, this time closer to Lacey then before. He could tell that she was contemplating his offer. "Fine," she silently scoffed, "I owe you for getting us in here anyway."

He nodded, gently taking her by the hand, and leading her away from the VIP section. He caught Steve and Sammie embracing each other over in a vacant area, and nudged his head towards their direction so Lacey could see as well. He moved far away from the area where they had been sitting, and stopped once they reached to about the middle of the floor. He danced, not really caring about what he looked like in the eyes of others. He knew he was a good dancer, and thinking about it would only mess him up.

While he moved to the music. He thought about what had happened at the beach. Him and Lacey had come so close to locking lips...and then she moved away. But why? Clearly she had shown she had feelings for him by the way she wrapped her arms and legs around him in the water...It had been driving him crazy all day. He needed to say something, and he needed to know what she thought of him...

"Lacey," he said over the loud music, "Lacey, I need to tell you something. But first, let's get away from all of these people." He gently took her by the hand again, trying to find a vacant area, but of course, there was none. Just then, he hatched an idea. There was a door leading to an outside area that was a part of the club. He had been to the Bamboo before...he knew his way around.

He led her outside. They entered a fenced-in area where a clean, unused pool stood in the middle of the concrete. Neon palm trees shined a hypnotic pink glow, and the music from inside was only slightly audible. He took both of her hands in his, tenderly rubbing his thumbs over her fingers, and began to speak.

"So listen," he said, "I've been thinking a lot about what happened earlier today, at the beach...and I don't know what happened, but I just want to tell you that there's no reason for you to be scared of me." He moved in closer, his eyes darting as if they were saying 'let's try again.' "I know I can be a little bit...impulsive, flirtatious...y'know..." he slightly chuckled, looking down at the ground for a moment, "But when I talk to you, I really do mean everything I say. You're beautiful Lacey..." he said, moving even closer, "And I really, really like you."

He placed one hand on her left cheekbone, and the other around her right hip. "You just..."
Silence.

And when Davey Jones, a master at conversation, couldn't think of anything else to say, he leaned in and planted a kiss on Lacey's lips.

{“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's nobody listening, and live like it's heaven on earth.” ― William W. Purkey }

Lacey looked at their hands conjoined as they walked through the crowd before smiling softly to herself and looking back up to watch where she was going. She looked back towards the section before looking away just to see Steve and Sammie kissing one another. She sighed in defeat before clearing her throat. "Great, she already has him wrapped around her finger." She said to herself as she continued to walk to the middle of the dancefloor with Davey right in front of her. She tightened her grip on his hand softly before picking a spot and letting go of her hand. She watched him dance for a moment before starting herself. She might not have been the best dancer but, she was good enough to make it look like she knew what she was doing. She tried not to look towards Davey to avoid any awkwardness or to stop herself from babbling once again. Every once and a while she would glance out of the corner of her eye and look at Davey. He seemed like something was bothering him and if it was what she thought it was, she should have just pushed through the crowd to make it back to where the group had been sitting and avoid Davey until she left in two weeks.

"Lacey," She didn't hear him at first, it wasn't until he said it louder that she finally looked towards him with a smile on her face. "Lacey, I need to tell you something. But first, let's get away from all of these people."

She lost her smile once he softly grabbed her hand and turned around. She had no idea what he wanted to talk about. And then it hit her. "Damn it! He going to talk to me about the beach." Lace looked around frantically, hoping he wouldn't find somewhere for them to talk and just say they could talk later once they got back home. At least there she could act as if she had fallen asleep before he could have the chance to talk to her.

And just when it seemed like they could find a place to talk, Davey of course knew of a quiet place where they could talk without anyone else around. She walked outside before him and looked around the pool area. It would have been a beautiful place to be if it wasn't for the overwhelming amount of nerves she had in her. When the door closed softly, she turned back towards Davey with her eyebrows furrowed. When he took a hold of her hands and rubbed them with his thumb. She cleared her throat as she turned her doe eyes to Davey as he started to speak to her. "So listen. I've been thinking a lot about what happened earlier today, at the beach...and I don't know what happened, but I just want to tell you that there's no reason for you to be scared of me."

She looked down at the cement as he spoke and sighed heavily. She wasn't terrified of him, okay she was. But, more than anything she was afraid of him thinking she was an idiot for how she acted around him. And she was afraid if she was to tell him about her feelings and he didn't feel the same way, it would have ruined their friendship and she wasn't brave enough to test it.

When he moved closer to her she knew he face was getting red especially once he looked her right in the eyes. "I know I can be a little bit...impulsive, flirtatious...y'know..."
As he chuckled she just raised her eyebrows as she chuckled a bit too. "But when I talk to you, I really do mean everything I say. You're beautiful Lacey..."

"Davey, stop."

"And I really, really like you." She closed her eyes to stop tears from coming out as he laid one hand against her cheek and the other on her hip. Lacey looked towards him and shook her head as she grabbed the hand that was on her cheek. "Davey, stop talking."

"You just..."

"Davey!" She turned her eyes from the ground to him just as he leaned in to kiss her before she could say anything else. She wanted to move away, she did and at first she was angry. But, the longer they kissed the more she didn't want to get rid of that feeling he gave her. That feeling where it felt like she could just stay frozen like that forever. A feeling where she felt like she was completely red but, for once she didn't care.

After a minute her arms went from her side and her cheek to his jaw to keep him from pulling away. She moved her hands to the back of his neck and in his hair as she leaned down a bit to kiss him, but not before moving his hands to be on her waist. The only she let go was because she was out of breath and losing her balance in her shoes.

When she did pull away, she kept her forehead on his as she looked him in the eyes with a smile on her face. "Wow." She pecked him one last time on his lips before letting go of him and returning back to Earth. She took a step back before straightening out of her dress and clearing her throat softly. She sighed as if she had been working about before returning her eyes back to the man in front of her. She tried not to smile but, the longer she looked at him the more a smile grew on her face. Finally she turned back to her feet as she spoke.

"Well, that was..--that was just..-- Wow. Davey that was amazing," Lace said with her face still red. She really just wanted to kiss him again. "And I really, really like you too and I want to be with you. Then it hit her. She was leaving. What were they suppose to do then? "...But, I'm leaving in two week and..-- and I don't know if we could last in a long distance relationship like that." While she was speaking to him, she was also thinking about it in her head about what they should do. She wasn't like Sammie or Khloe, she didn't like the idea of falling without a safety net. She needed to know what the plan was between them before proceeding; whether they continued down this road of being together or if they stopped now before something bad happened, before one of them got hurt.

She snapped back to reality as she started to speak again and remember that it wasn't really a choice But, I like you, a lot and I don't want to go back to just being friends with you," Lacey knew she was thinking out loud and rambling, but what else was new? She rambled when she was conflicted and she was really conflicted with this. She groaned as she hid her face in her hands. "I'm... confused, and conflicted. I don't know what you want me to do." She groaned softly again. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

Steve Coltman

As Steve stood there waiting for her to say something, the only thing that kept running through his mind was, I screwed up, It may had only been a few seconds, but they were the longest of his life.

He was more than shocked when she yelled out, and started to kiss him back. He didn't really know how it was going to go with Sammie, but he didn't care. After she had finished kissing him he finally noticed how much he smelled like weed, Damn it, I knew going into the bathroom was a terrible idea. He mentally kicked himself a couple of times. Ah, well. If I didn't then this entire thing would seem planned. Not how I would go about courting women.

"Steve... I like you too..." He smiled at those words as he was about to answer her while she was looking at her feet he saw Lacey and Davey. He felt a pang of jealousy. It wasn't a small pang either, it was enough to make him want to run and kiss her right in front of him. That's just petty and cruel to Sammie. I don't want to hurt her in any way. He thought as he refocused on the beautiful girl latched on his neck.

"Sammie, I..." Steve started to speak only problem was, he didn't exactly know what to say. He was speechless twice in the same day, it was a new record for him. He had finally continued speaking, "I think you are a wonderful person, and Rylee was such an idiot for letting you slip through his fingers." He brought up his right hand and caressed her face. He had never noticed how soft her skin was. "I can't promise you forever... or at least right now I can't, but I can promise you that you won't be bored and I'm sorry for any and all future screw ups, because they're bound to happen and I'm me and I screw up... a lot... and I think I'm starting to babbling. I'm going to shut up now and keep kissing you."

Steve used his right hand to lift Sammie's head and kissed her again. All he wanted to do was forget the world while she was here with him, nothing mattered to him except here and now. Not even the knock out blonde on the other side of bar giving them a look of death mattered. He'd deal with the consequences when they happened and he'd be damned if he let them bother him.

Her lungs still felt like they were full of helium, so Ellie decided it was best to go get some fresh air from outside. With shakiness, she arose from the corner, grabbed her stuff, and tried her best not to get knocked over by any drunk party-goers. She took one last look back at Khloe, Rylee, and James, and then bolted out the front door of the club into the night. She'd be doing herself and her friends a favor by leaving; at least they wouldn't be getting kicked out of the Bamboo for her own violent actions.

It was a little chilly outside, but nothing completely unbearable. She walked quickly across the dark brick sidewalk, her heels clacking loudly against the pavement. She swore she could see Davey and Lacey talking through one of the gates just outside the club. She stared at them for a while, and then continued on her way. She made no decisions as to where she was going; she just kept walking straight. Fortunately, her path was illuminated by lamplight, so she wasn't left in complete darkness.

Now she could breathe normally again, so Ellie stopped striding once she reached the outside of a small Irish pub. She didn't go inside - she just sat on a tiny black bench that looked invisible in the black hues of night. She sat and watched the world go by until her lungs were full of air, her eyes were dry of tears, and her mind was free of emotions. With haste, she pulled her hair out of its bun, and slipped her aching feet out of the six-inch heels she had forced herself to wear. Ellie put her flower crown back in her bag, although she was tempted to throw it in the garbage beside her. She stared up at the stars, her brain a little less crowded with thoughts.

Something was gnawing at her, and she knew what it was. Since the beginning of the trip, she had only caused the group pain and dismay. If she had comforted Khloe, maybe her and Sammie wouldn't have drifted apart. If she hadn't seen Sammie and Rylee kiss, maybe they could have been an item. And if she never had come in the first place, she wouldn't have ruined the group's clubbing experience by punching that horny guy in the nose and igniting a flame of trouble. So many things were her fault...

And so Ellie was left with a decision that she painstakingly had to make. She twiddled her thumbs like she was deep in thought, but she really didn't have to think about her choices at all. She just wanted to go home. She had been looking forward to the trip for months, but unlike what her therapist thought, Ellie could not find something or someone that would make her whole again. She would just have to be broken for the rest of her life, causing chaos and heartbreak wherever she tread...

So in that moment, Ellie pulled out her phone, and sent a text to Khloe.

To: Khloe
From: Ellie
I think I'm going to pack up my stuff 2moro and go home. It's for the best. I'm sorry about everything...

She sighed, closed her eyes, and leaned against the bench. In a way, she felt like a dead corpse. She pulled out the notebook hiding in her bag, uncapped a black sharpie marker, and wrote a giant 'YOU SUCK' addressed to herself across one of the pages. She stared at it for many moments, not taking her eyes off of the page.

Funny - just a couple of minutes ago, she had been the happiest girl in the world. And now she was right back where she had started.

"Well, that was..--that was just..-- Wow. Davey that was amazing," said Lacey, her red face giving the impression that she was flabbergasted. He chuckled at her adorableness. "It was, wasn't it? See?...There's no reason to be afraid of me."
"And I really, really like you too and I want to be with you." she continued. Davey was beaming now. However, his happiness wouldn't last for long.

"...But, I'm leaving in two week and..-- and I don't know if we could last in a long distance relationship like that."
And just like that, his smile had turned into a frown. Lacey was right. He thought of something to say. All he could think about was how much of a bitch reality was. "But, I like you, a lot and I don't want to go back to just being friends with you," she said. This gave him at least a little bit of hope. "I'm... confused, and conflicted. I don't know what you want me to do." she said, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

He chuckled at her last sentence, but it came out with sad, mirthless undertones. "Well, some things are unpredictable, Lacey. Even I'm scared of telling the truth sometimes. Unlike you, I've never been the greatest at expressing my emotions out loud..." He took her hands in his, "I usually save that for songwriting."

He looked down for a moment, giving a short sigh, and then returning his gaze to hers. "Listen, Lace....I don't want you to do anything. All I want is for you to do whatever you want to do. You've got a bright, bright future ahead of you, and you have every right to pursue it." Every word that he spoke, he meant. Davey believed in freedom to its very core. He believed in freedom for Lacey, even if that meant he wouldn't get to be in the big picture next to her.

"But even though there's this future looming over the both of us, that still doesn't mean we can't live in the here and now." He gently stretched out her fingers in his, and kept opening and closing them. "Good chess players think three or four steps ahead. However, the great ones only need to think one. I believe that if we both want to stay as more than just friends, that's what we need to do. We just need to think only one step ahead, until we both come to the end of our trip." He rubbed his thumb against her cheek again, and intensely locked his gaze with hers. "We're just going to take it one day at a time, and test the waters together, just like we did at the beach. And whatever happens, happens...Okay?" He leaned in closer to her ear, and whispered.
"Whatever happens, happens."

{“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's nobody listening, and live like it's heaven on earth.” ― William W. Purkey }

"Well, some things are unpredictable, Lacey. Even I'm scared of telling the truth sometimes. Unlike you, I've never been the greatest at expressing my emotions out loud..." Lacey chuckled as he held her hands once more. She looked at their fingers intertwined before looking back at him. "I usually save that for songwriting." Lace rolled her eyes with a small smirk on her face. But, she soon lost her smirk when Davey looked down and sighed. When he looked back up at her, her eyes begging him to say something. She wasn't used to this, being in a relationship that she had no idea what to do. She always played the friend who gave the advice to help them through it. "Listen, Lace....I don't want you to do anything. All I want is for you to do whatever you want to do. You've got a bright, bright future ahead of you, and you have every right to pursue it." As Davey spoke to her, she couldn't help but begin to smile. Part of her wondered if he really meant what he was saying while the other half just believed him. Lacey wasn't the type of person who was used to being able to choose whether or not she was able to do something. And, in all honesty? She kind of liked it, even if the choice wasn't a hard one to make.

"But even though there's this future looming over the both of us, that still doesn't mean we can't live in the here and now." Davey said. "Live in the moment?" She could feel her stomach go into knots. Lacey hated 'living in the here and now', it never lead to anything good. At least with Lacey's 'glass half empty' outlook on life most of the time. She needed things to be plan out before hand so there were no surprises and when things did happen to go wrong. Well... She doesn't take it well. "Good chess players think three or four steps ahead. However, the great ones only need to think one. I believe that if we both want to stay as more than just friends, that's what we need to do. We just need to think only one step ahead, until we both come to the end of our trip."

...But, if she was going to be with Davey. She would have to get used to idea of living in the moment even if it was for a brief time. She snapped out of her nervous state of mind as he rubbed her cheek. She smiled shyly as she softly grasped his hand and look towards him just as he was doing with her. "We're just going to take it one day at a time, and test the waters together, just like we did at the beach. And whatever happens, happens...Okay?"

"Okay." She told him as she let their hands fall to their sides. She softly held his hands as she did before just as he moved in closer to her and whispered in her ear as always. "Whatever happens, happens." She chuckled softly as he spoke to her and when he was looking her back in the eyes, she kissed him softly and nodded. "Whatever happens... happens, " She repeated softly as she looked at their hands as she released a nervous breath. "I won't push you away, I won't be afraid of... this or you, and I'll try not too think to far ahead." She assured him before looking back up at him with a smile and a small chuckle as she thought of what to do now. "Sooo, are you going to keep me out here all night or can we head back inside so I can show you off." The young girl said as she smirked with a raised eyebrow towards Davey.
