Full Name: Andrew Joseph Ives
Nickname: Dr. Andrew Ives: "Well, it's probably because of my PhD, but who knows for sure?"
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Role: Master One
Likes: Conversation, Working, Drinking, Meeting New People, Night, Dogs, Fish, Walking, Reading, Pasta, Quick Witted People, Word Play.
Dislikes: Boredom, Ignorance, Drinking, Cruelty, Too Much Attention, Wine, Eating Fish, The Slave Trade, Overcast Days.
Quirks: Th Accent: "What can I say? Spend most of your life in Wales and you catch one eventually."
Fears: The Demon in a Bottle: "We all have something we grapple with. Mine just happens to be in a bottle. For a short while in college, I depended on booze a lot more then I should have. I'm fine now, but I'm not gonna lie; I've had a few days where I just wanted to lose myself in a bottle of whiskey and a random stranger's bed."

The Past Repeats: "You ever learn about the Salem Witch trials? Well, we're living in our own little witch trial. True, this time the witches are very real, but that doesn't excuse barbarism and slavery in a supposed golden age of logic."

Personality: Andrew's personality is one that interests people, which is how he gained notoriety as a scientist and a public figure over all. He is charismatic and cherishes conversation, especially with those who have a wit to them and loves seemingly playing the part of the wild card, sometimes wandering around a city he's in and ingratiating himself into a group of people for a good time. When he is alone or is working however, he is efficient and mostly serious, only cracking a joke at an opportune moment. Like most people's perceptions of the British, Andrew is generally polite to most people, unless they decide to be rude for no reason. After that, it's a barrage of back handed compliments and sarcasm.

While most people fault Andrew for his ego, perceiving him as a narcissist, those who work with him know he is a very genuine guy and that the ego is a part of his play into the public's perception of him. Another thing they notice is the fact that Andrew is a workaholic, the lab floor of his house being an obvious testament to this fact. Andrew's work at this point in time is the most important thing to him, having no family or that many close friends in the states. He views his research into Shifters as the biggest contribution he will make to the world and devotes most of his time to it nowadays.

Appearance in Description: Andrew stands at an average 5'11 and is definitely in shape. He works out for one hour ever morning which shows in his muscular physique. He has short brown hair which he never really trifles with, liking the way it is naturally as well as a five o' clock shadow which he surprisingly puts more work into then the hair on his head. His eyes are a dark blue and are so dark in fact that he often gets prolonged looks in the eye at people trying to decipher the hue. These factors along with his often worn confident grin paint a picture of a con man or at least someone distrustful and definitely not a world renowned scientist.

Thoughts about Shifters/Slaves?: "The fact of the matter is Shape-Shifters are a non-invasive, sentient species that most of us have no explanation for and have been unknowingly living with for who knows how long. They are just as dangerous as any other person out there and the world's reaction to them was appalling, but sadly expected."

Why Are You Buying a Slave?: "Because people are willing to cage a beast blindly, without any knowledge except on how to weaken it. It's my ambition to figure out how Shifters function and change. Is it genetic, hereditary, or something else we can't even fathom? With knowledge comes understanding and understanding removes all fear. If I figure it out, if my research answers everyone's questions, then maybe we can go back to the way it was before. And for research, I need a test subject."

Short History: From a young age, Andrew was curious about everything. Plants, animals, and humans were his main interest though, often running around the small town in Wales where he grew up and making notes in his journal. It was this habit that cemented his choice to become a scientist. At the age of 11, he moved to New York with his family. As he grew into adulthood more and more, his intellect shined through, culminating in his graduation from high school at the age of 15 and receiving his PhD at the age of 23. It was around this time that he started getting put into the media's spotlight for his vivacious behavior after college and his age, becoming the rock star of sorts of the scientific community. During this time, he continued his research, mostly in the area of animals and their various relations to humans and did so until the day Skin-Walkers made their debut. He was actually asked to experiment on the priest, but declined and instead tried his best to disappear from the public's attention, buying and renovating an isolated two story house in the wilderness of Tennessee to suit his needs. With a few shady contacts and a few wheel barrels of money so to speak, Andrew's new home was ready for his new research subject; Shape-Shifters.
