AA/Double A ~ Rather self explanatory, from the initials of his name. It is usually used by his friends, from the period of time they were fascinated with spy movies and gave each other aliases.
Ally ~ An endearing nickname used to tease him, only by those he considers close to him. Anyone else using it would be taken as an insult, especially if their tone was a mocking one.

Allistor looks normal at first sight, not completely average but close enough to it, a smile always on his face and his eyes shuttered. They never really open, always peeking out at the world through a gap in his lids as if he was looking at the sun, afraid that the world might suddenly turn into something he eyes can't seem to take. Wearing ordinary clothes, he looked the textbook definition of a boy from a middle income family, with nothing too unique, yet nothing that bland at the same time.

It was the way he wore the place that was unusual. His open jaunty step and lighthearted chatter made one expect him any moment to break into the kind of song that has suspicious rhymes and phrases like "my kind of town" and "I wanna be a part of it" in it; the kind of song in cartoons where people dance in the street and give the singer apples and join in and everyone acts like cheery lovable citizens instead of the murderous, evil-minded, self-centered people they suspect themselves to be. But the point was that if Allistor had erupted into a song, people WOULD have joined in. He could have jollied up a circle of standing stones to form up behind him and do a rumba. It is either the way he looks at everything as if it was a rare jewel just waiting to be found, or how he holds himself, standing tall yet loosely. His is the stance that attracts attention, yet not in a way of commanding than asking with a bright smile and a warm handshake.

β₯ Children The desires of young children are usually innocent and full of wonder, without any malice intended. Allistor likes reading the desires of theirs, because they give him a sense of hope in the world.
β₯ Reading He is still in the process of learning to identify words by the way they look, having been used to reading Braille for most of his life. It doesn't do anything but further his interest for literature of course, since there only a limited amount of brialle books and he could read so much more once he had his eyes.
β₯ Soft things They are soothing to touch and comforting to him. Allistor relates them to a sense of security, and feeling something soft never fails to calm him.
β₯ Goggles They are something he always has with him, mostly for shielding the bright light emitting from his eyes when he decides to open them. However, that doesn't mean he cannot use them for cosmetic purposes, and Allistor likes to think of them as decoration instead of something essential, the tinted yellow lenses often being replaced by other colors.

⌦ His eyes Seeing too much was more than he bargained for, and Allistor dislikes his eyes in the state they are now. There are times when he wished to go back to his innocent phase from before, where he had no idea of what the world was like but full of color and kindness.
⌦ Noise His ears are extremely sensitive, and loud noises not only hurt them but keeps him on edge since he usually doesn’t know where the noises are coming from.
⌦ Liars People who smile at you one time and stab you in another are those he loathes the most, including those that make promises they don't plan on keeping. He can see those clear as can be, the inner thoughts and desires

Color"Though he can see color now, Allistor still sees them as senses instead of what they visually are, a habit derived from the descriptions of those to him. Red, for example is the feeling of passion and warmth, a flickering flame, while blue feels cold and sad. Yellow is the feeling of happiness, while white was soft and pure, like the wings of a Dove. He doesn't consider it as synesthesia, it's more of an instinct for his mind to do. Allistor has a tendency to relate emotions to Color too, so it's not uncommon to see him drawing odd comparisons.
SensesBeing blind for most of his life, all of his other senses get enhanced to help him get around. By using his voice and ears, Allistor can get around with little to no difficulty using something akin to echolocation the bats use, by making clicking sounds to help him manoeuvre. His fingers are sensitive to the little bumps of Braille he used to read, and he is more sensitive to fabric as a result.
EyesRather self explanatory with their glowing blue state, but Allistor's eyes are one of the yokai, able to see hidden emotions and desires. As a result, he squints them to see what is closest to the world he could see if he had normal eyes instead of the ones he has now.

β˜› β“Œβ’Ίβ’Άβ“€β“ƒβ’Ίβ“ˆβ“ˆβ’Ίβ“ˆ ☚
⌦ Stubborn]"Nothing is going to stop his from getting her own way. He genuinely doesn’t know why insisting on doing things his way was wrong, and has no idea why people get upset at him for doing so. It is after all, his life. It mystifies him why others want to tell him what to do with it in the first place."
⌦ Skeptical"Allistor doesn't often believe in what many people may say, and will often expect some form of proof to back up what they claim. He wasn't always like that at first, it's something that he simply developed over time after finding that his life is often surrounded by lies. There are only a few select people who words he will trust without looking at them first. "
⌦ Energy"Allistor burns that out quite quickly, possibly because he was always running around and doing things. When he falls asleep, he sleeps like the dead, and nothing can wake him up from his slumber."

❧

β˜› β“ˆβ“‰β“‡β’Ίβ“ƒβ’Όβ“‰β’½β“ˆβ˜š
β₯ Speed"He is quite a bit faster, and even if he was once blind that didn't manage to stop him from running through streets and alleys as fast as he could, no matter if he crashes into things and obstacles."
β₯ Memory"Another skill picked up by his disability. Manoeuvring his way around streets was something he was used to, and he can remember any place that he has been to and where most of the objects are just by feeling them. Now that he has his sight back, Allistor still has a photographic memory, taking in everything at one sight. "
β₯ Eyesight"His vision is impeccable as of now, and that is one thing he can't complain about the deal. He has perfect eyesight, and can spot things from faraway without a problem. "
β₯ Adaptation"Allistor's stubborn attitude and determination caused him to refuse to believe that he was helpless in the darkness. He has adapted using something akin to echolocation to move around the area, and he is good at adjusting himself to fit difficult scenarios."

❧

β˜› β’»β’Ίβ’Άβ“‡β“ˆβ˜š
Loneliness It has always been terrifying for him, a fear stemmed from getting lost in his younger years. Feeling completely alone and engulfed in darkness gives him a feeling of utter helplessness, and it's one of his worst fears.

Allistor is definitely not one you would give a second glance to, or consider any more three dimensional than he seems. He is cheerful and naive, a little too overwhelmingly so. There are times when he seems like an airhead, his head well in the clouds above without a chance to pulling him down to earth. At one glance, you wouldn't want to take another, simply because he is far too one dimensional, as if there isn't a side to his personality that can be explored and considered. That said, it is one of the compelling factors that cause people to smile despite themselves, even if they couldn't stand him. Allistor radiates an air of nonchalant joy, one that makes it easy to influence others. No matter how bad the situation was, some just want to comfort themselves, to avert their eyes from the disaster to a better alternative. Allistor does just that, a beacon of positivity amidst suffering.

That said, he is a determined soul. Allistor isn't the type to believe the things they say about life giving you lemons, because he never considers his troubles as lemons in the first place. While there are times he likes to ignore the happenings, he never saw the truth as anything other than what it is, without the censorship of words like 'things would get better soon'. He doesn't move with the flow, he forces life to move to his beat. The things he does might not be nice, but he does what was needed to push forward a little more. Allistor knows exactly what he wants out of it, and he works toward his goal like that of a sculptor, bit by bit, chipping patiently through life to shape it into something beautiful. And he couldn't fail, because he was young and he had barely begun. When Allistor something done, it would get done, by hook or by crook. He wouldn't be considered as particularly malicious, but pushing him to the edge of his determination can have dire consequences.

Allistor is awfully independent from what most would expect from his past. Despite having lived most of his life in utter darkness, Allistor refused to depend on others. He was quite stubborn, and that coupled with his strong willpower formed something most people would describe as a personality of steel. He had learned that if you quietly ignore the rules people will, half the time, quietly rewrite them so that they don't apply to you. Be it a good thing or not, if he decides on standing in one spot he would dig his heels into it, and no matter what anyone does it wouldn’t drag him away. Despite that, Allistor does take time to listen to other people, respecting their decisions yet having a voice on his own. Rules and orders doesn’t justify one’s actions, and even if he was going to make mistakes he’d rather make them on his own.

Yet, he isn't the most hopeful of people you can find out there, not any longer. Allistor grew up learning about villains in storybooks, to always stay close to his parents lest someone bad take advantage of his disability and kidnap him. His life wasn't devoid of those lessons, and there was a part of his fantasy land that had the conspirators, men in some smoky room somewhere, made mad and cynical by privilege and power, plotting over the brandy. He always clung to that image, but now that he had his eyes he had to face the fact that bad things happened because ordinary people, the kind who told their children bedtime stories, were capable of then going out and doing horrible things to other ordinary people. It was so much easier to blame it on the bad guys in stories and movies. It was bleakly depressing to think that they could be like the rest. Because if they were possibly normal, than what does it make him? It was once so easy to convince himself that he was one of the 'good guys', that he had never thought about himself as the bad guy in the story, so it was impossible for him to commit evil.

Alistair was raised normally, and had a happy life. Naturally cheerful, he made many friends who could look past his disability and two doting parents that loved him no matter what inconveniences taking care of him involved. However, there was the one thing he couldn't have, and that was sight. As a child, he was medically blind since birth, and no matter what operations were performed they couldn't make him see. As a result, it had always been a dream of his, and though he could get around easily with a technique similar to echolocation Allistor never stopped wishing for a day where he could see the world with his own eyes. From the descriptions of his family and friends, he built one for himself, an imaginary world where things were always as he envisioned them. Many of his friends had told him about the perils of the world, warned him about the darker sides hidden in it, but Allistor wanted to make his own judgements.

He neither believed nor opposed those words, but he wanted to have his own opinions about the world, always stubbornly thinking that it was as wonderful as it was in his imagination. He took pictures of everything outside, hoping to see the photographs when he finally got his vision back, so he could see the wonderful parts of the world like the ones he expected to see.

Then, a mysterious voice was at his bedside one day, offering him the chance to see for a small price. Without thinking, Allistor agreed, and so the yokai took his eyes and replaced them with the ones of their own kind. The ones that could catch desires and see thoughts, the so called eyes of the gods that sees all things. When Alistair opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the horrified expression of his mother.

His eyes looked difference than that of a humans, they were glowing blue and seemed to contain clockwork within. When he opened them, the world revealed its secrets, he could see everything from the inner thoughts of people to their identity. But he wasn't happy. This wasn't what Alistair wanted when he wished to see, because he lost what was more important to him than sight. His capacity to dream and imagine was gone, and the fantasy world he had built in his mind crumbled as he hit reality. People weren't as kind as he thought, and some of their desires are dark and twisted. It didn't stop his hope for the world, but it did make Allistor afraid. He was fearful of the reality once he had been exposed to it, his naive nature had vanished once he opened his new eyes.

Now, Allistor is trying his best to cope with the world he sees, but the dreamlike wonderland that used to be his everything when he was younger was gone, never to be returned again. He had found a way to lower the chances of seeing desires however, and that was to only view the world from nearly shut eyes. His eyes are always in a perpetual squint, as that was the best way to see the world in Color and without it's deeper secrets.
