Introduction
Are trying to become the stars
And we really came from Mars
The earth is alive
And man is a parasite
And heavenly bodies make us fight
I'm only joking
I don't believe a thing I've said
What are you smoking?
I'm just a-fucking with your head
Only a crazy little thing I read"
~ Only Joking, The Kongos
Many people have debated over the centuries that this was has raged to find ways to synthesize Heat in order to fight off the Southern and Northern Encroachment, massive stormfronts of pure winter that dig their frozen teeth deep into the soil with an almost sentient malice, advancing forward eternally to cover the world in ice. One thing, however, is very certain. To live inside of the Encroachment, you need Heat.
In the current year of seven hundred and nine, a committee of powerful political figures have come together to swear away allegience to their countries and have declared that they shall fund a private army in order to strike on two fronts, one wing assaulting Trollerags, the other assaulting Narakimb in a simultaneous attack. The attack will happen in two years. Until then...
Welcome to the contest for the throne of broken promises.
Trollerags; Home to the Nebraxas Legion. Though there are many races, including humans, orcs, dwarves, asamir (fallen angels) and Tieflings (half-demons), Elves are undoubtedly the ruling race. Their long lives, inherent wisdom, and inborn ability to weave powerful spells, they have risen up from a simple communist nation to a military nation over the course of many bloody years, and seek to maintain control over Forlonde.
Narakimb; looked over by the Ebeneezer Society, is the home to megacorporations. While All races, including the ancient, mechanical androids known as Brassforged - a species that has been exiled from every other continent - Humans ultimately roam supreme. Their tenacity, quick thinking, and skills with machines second only to the dwarves have propelled them to the top of the social food chain. The country seeks to obtain Forlonde and use the Heat found there to fuel their army of magitech and consume the world, not in fire, but capitalism.

Race Information
Elves - Elves are tall, lankey, quite beautiful, and have a natural affinity for magic. While most characters are allowed three spells of their design, elves are allowed to have an additional one spell
Humans - Humans are varied. As they have a natural affinity for technology, they may have one more piece of magitech on them.
Dwarves - Dwarves are stout, generally have beards (even the women) and have a natural affinity for ores and technology. They may start with one more piece of magitech on them, and can see in the dark.
Orcs - Orcs seem to have been designed for war. The thick hided, tusk-bearing, green, tall creatures are immune to harm from things like clubs and rocks.
Asamir - Angelic in nature, Asamir are all inherently beautiful, but are cursed with a single, unique physical flaw to them. They have wings.
Tieflings - Demonic in nature, Tieflings have an infernal sort of beauty to them, but permeate an aura of distrust around then. They are immune to fire.
Brassforged - Unlike magical constructs such as golems, Brassforged are unique in that they have a soul. Their bodies, unless heavily damaged, never truly die. Instead, when a brassforged's soul has ran its course, it will leave its body to wander as energy. Some time later, the body will then be filled by a new soul. They are resistant to nonmagical damage.
Designing Your Character
Character creation will be handled as followed.
Your character must come from a place mentioned on the Tenebris map. Your backstory must be at least three paragraphs long.
Each character starts with a set of armor of their design, three Magitech items of their design, and three spells of their design. If they are an elf or human, they will have additional bonuses.
Please wait for me to look over your spells and message you about them. Refusal to fix your spells will result in me declining your character application.
Below is a rough skeleton. While you may customize the formatting any way you wish, the information here must be present.
