|Appearance|

Emery has always been a girl of outstanding beauty even as a child she looked as if she were from another world. Posessing blue/gold eyes curitsy of her Elven heritage, even when she is not in her Elven form she is still a picture of beauty.

Emery lives up to her other worldy appearance. Her eyes, beautiful and sparkling, tend to have a spark of suggested michievousness. Her hair has a natural wave; the type that even after a long day in the wind, one could comb their fingers through without catching or tugging. With blonde, it tumbles to around her elbows. Though she prefers her hair down and free, she will usually be seen with it tied back in a braid.

She has a slim figure, one that was gifted to her by genetic fortune and maintained by the constant exercise. Her limbs are soft, and her skin fair and clear despite scars that litter her body here and there, along with callouses on her fingers from use of weapons such as swords.

Emery spends her days hidden away behind a mask she is forced to uphold. To most, she is the worst person you could ever meet, a cold hearted, ruthless murderer. Her stubborn, sarcastic, and seemingly cruel and cynical personality that she has adapted to is not who she is, or who she was.

Before Xavier got his hands on her, and before she learned what hate and sorrow were, Emery was a rather sweet, and kind girl. She despised violence, and would not stand for anything that would make someone believe their life was not worth living, and much like her Father she was against war and the spilling of innocent blood. Though at that time she was just a naive child, you would never believe that naive child, that naive little girl who's name was once shouted, turned into someone's who name is now whispered, and feared.

Xavier trained her to be the way she is, taking some sick pleasure in turning the child of a once noble Elven King, the daughter of a kingdom, into a deadly weapon, into everything her father had once stood against. Emery had blood on her hands before she could really comprehend what that meant. Every life she takes haunts her, she tries to justify what she does by saying they are bad people, they deserve what happens to them however she knows not even that justifies what she does, what she has always done, what she has to do. A heaviness rests on her shoulders, a sadness that is undescribable and a anger that Xavier had created in her that is almost impossible to control. She has turned into something that is no longer living, just surviving.

However, if you were to give her the chance, if you get to know her Emery is still strong willed and a little sarcastic, but you see the gentle side of her that she makes people believe is not there, she emerges into the person she truly is begind closed doors, when she doesn't have to be the monster Xavier made her to be. Motherly and very kind, she will make quick combacks and remarks simply to make you laugh. A trained killer, she knows there is blood on her hands, and has come to understand why she is hated, as she too hates herself for what she is, what she had to become. Underneath all of that, if you look past what she was trained to be, perhaps you would grow to love her, for who she truly is under the mask.

Rienna was the only born child to Calios and his wife Gwendolyn. As she was their only child, Rienna was the heiress to Lightvale, the Elven kingdom that came to be after the fall of Alysus, known as one of the most powerful Kingdoms in the realm.

One the eve of her sixth birthday, the King of Lanercoast under the control of Alysus, attacked Lightvale, slaughtering her parents, her people, and ending her life as she knew it. Rienna, with the help of her nanny managed to escape the flames and bloodshed in her home, her nanny, however, did not survive, the first of many lives ended to save her. Once the Kingdom was ashes and those who managed to survive fled towards the safe haven under control of Calios’ sister Mavin, the Lanercoats forces withdrew, unaware that young Rienna had survived.

Running away from her burning home, Rienna had stumbled into the river, the water freezing as it was mid winter, it was a miracle she survived at all. She was found by a man named Xavier Hamel, also known as the King of Assassins. The man nursed the girl back to health as he knew who she was and saw potential in her to be something else. When she was well, Xavier gave Rienna a choice, she could stay and train as one of his assassins, or he would kill her giving her the same fate as her parents. Deciding to train under Xavier, Rienna’s name was changed to Emery Hebert in order to keep her true identity secret, only Xavier would know who she truly was.

Emery trained in the arts of Assassins, and quickly became Xavier’s protege. She was a fast learner, smarter, and more capable than other children he had rescued over the years, and with the raging anger he had planted in her towards the man and the Kingdom that destroyed her own, Emery became more willing to learn. She quickly became dangerous, and deadly, succeeding in her first assassination when she was the mere age of ten. Too young at that time to kill with her skill and weapons alone, Emery elected to use poisons, becoming a poison master by the age of twelve.

However, Xavier found a weakness in his young protege, remorse. She would cry for days at a time after taking a life, seeing the people in her dreams, having them haunt her with every breath. Xavier would not stand for it, every time she so much as let a tear roll down her cheek for the remorse of a life she took, every time she felt a bit sorry, he would beat her senseless, beat her into submission. So Emery adapted, creating a hard, unforgiving shell, making her the Assassin Xavier had wanted from the start. The perfect Assassin, the perfect weapon.

By sixteen Emery was deadly, feared, and very unpredictable, she was everything Xavier had wanted. But Emery was anything but happy, going through depression that would keep her bed ridden for weeks, she often refused to move, refused to eat, of course she kept this all to herself. That is until Damien came into her life, a boy she had grown up with but barely noticed when they were children had become her only light in such a suffocating darkness, had become the only person she believed could love her. It wasn’t long before they grew into a relationship, leaving Emery desperate to escape the grasps of her mentor and master.

Emery worked high risk jobs until she could pay off both her debt and Damien’s debt to Xavier, and then the two left, enraging him. The two continued their line of work, but Emery did not go out as often as Damien. Damien took most of the jobs as he knew the killing weighed heavy on Emery’s heart, and he did not wish for her to bare anymore pain.

Xavier, enraged that he had lost his protege, enraged he had lost Emery, who was no question the most dangerous person on the continent, perhaps the world, lashed out, deciding it was time to teach his darling protege a lesson about betrayal. He went to the man who was Captain of the Royal Guard at the time, there he relaid how Emery fought, her weaknesses, how they could disarm her if they were clever enough. He then gave them information about her newest target, creating a plan for them to ambush and capture her.

In the ambush, Damien was killed, beaten to death before her eyes, and Emery put in chains, a new loss in her heart, a new rage towards a new man, a need for revenge she was determined to get.

In her year in the Slave encampment, a mine, that served as her prison, Emery had managed to get over 100 of the slaves there out, mostly women, children, or anyone who was close to being worked to death. She had killed 20-25 guards, never escaping herself. Most thought it was because she couldn't outsmart them, but if they were smart they would have known that she was staying for a reason, if she really wanted out, she would have got out and left a mass of bodies behind her. Emery wanted to get the others out, as many as she could. She took the beatings, and whippings with her head held high, she had been trained as an assassin since she was six, and though Xavier was kinder to her than others, he would beat and torture her into obedience, into submission. She could take whatever the guards threw her way.

After a year, Emery was sent for, brought back to the castle, where she currently is, for a little competition the King was holding, he needed an Assassin, and he needed the best one, and Emery, well, she has always loved a competition, she always wins.

So begins...
