"Much better, thank you. Now I shouldn't be tripping all over the place." But then he was suggesting that she attack. She hesitated, thinking back to her own Pokemon. How had they performed a tackle attack? A run, and a jump, and tackling. But there was one little problem. She could barely walk as a Pokemon. Could she even run? What had her Pokemon looked like running.? She had jumped, though; maybe she just needed to try. She watched Flare, and then started to run. Or rather, tried to. She stumbled briefly over her own paws once. This was harder than it looked. And while she managed to run, it was a little comical to watch, since her movements were somewhat exaggerated.
She jumped towards him once she got closer, but misjudged the distance between herself and Flare, and the strength of her jump. That is, she jumped too soon, too short, and only hit the ground. She stood up, shaking her head. How had she managed to mess that up? She looked back to Flare.
"I'm not so sure you were right...I think that might have been worse, not better..."
"Bah, I'm never wrong! For one thing, this time you didn't run away. You'll never get much of what you want if you always turn tail. No one here to feed you now, kid" Flare replied, pacing a few steps as he spoke.
Still, he didn't think that Luna was in that dire of straights. From what he had seen, she had a whole house full of food, and no one to share it with. The most assertive thing she would have to do is figure out how to open that fridge door. Still, living in a gilded cage was no place to be, Flare thought. What if the humans came back? Surely they would sometime, perhaps in as little as a few days. This Vulpix could be giving up her freedom if she pouted about here a few days until her trainer came back. What a squandered chance! Perhaps he should show off the virtues of the wild life a bit. But first she would have to help him. He was dying to know what that glass thing on the wall of his den was.
"C'mon kid. Let's go back to the woods, we can talk more about your moves on the way. I got all this human stuff you gotta tell me how they use."
Who knew how long she was going to be stuck like this? She needed to learn these things. She needs to, at the very least, be able to defend herself. She wouldn't get anywhere if she couldn't fight. She had to be more like these wild Pokemon; she would probably have to fight for food, for shelter, everything. Right? Well, maybe not that bad, if Flare was willing to help her so far. But the fact remained that she had to survive like this.
She hesitated when he suggested heading to the woods. It had been a while since she went out there. And she had never been in there without her Pokemon. However, she reminded herself, she still wasn't all on her own. So she nodded, following the Growlithe into the woods.
"I don't know what moves I can use though. I mean, even my tackle didn't quite turn out right." Obviously it was going to take a lot of work to learn everything from scratch. But at least this should prove to be interesting. She was rather curious as to what Flare had collected from humans.
