The world is not as it seems. Therianthropes, those with the ability to change from human to animal or to a creature that’s something in between, have been living among humans for as long anyone can remember. The humans are completely oblivious to this and those that aren’t are viewed as crazy. There have been wars between the various species over territory, hunting rights and inter-species relationships for almost as long as the Therianthropes have been around and known about each other. However, over the last couple of decades, the disputes have calmed in an attempt to prevent the humans from becoming aware of their presence. This peace has recently been disturbed by the presence of a new foe; hunters. There are humans going around in small groups taking out any Therianthropes they can find, often hunting them down while they’re all alone. Now there are those who believe the only way to stop this is for the different species to work together to take out the hunters, while the elders of a lot of the tribes are still holding on to the grudges of the past and want to keep the species separate.

Riley stirred as John woke and shook the snow off. The cold didn’t really bother Riley, but it did give him an excuse to cuddle with him so he liked it. He stood up and shook the snow off himself too. He noticed John was playing around with the snow. Even as a cub John loved the sound the snow made as it crunched under his paws. Though it was early in the morning, it was still very dark out. Riley noticed that John had started sniffing at a fresh set of rabbit tracks. “Now, now. I’m not quite done with you, yet. I have one more thing I meant to do before I fell asleep. You’re mine now too. I want to do this before the sun rises.” He smiled knowing John knew what he was going to do. He knelt down and as John laid on the ground and shivered a little. “Brace yourself, this is gonna hurt, but it’ll be okay if you rapidly shift right after.” He shifted to his full tiger form and crawled to his John’s side. He used a paw to brush John’s sandy mane away from the back of the neck. He opened his mouth as wide as he could and clenched his teeth down on the nape of John’s neck. They sank in all the way to the gums. He could feel John’s muscles tighten up with the pain, but he didn’t make a sound. After holding his jaw closed for a few seconds to ensure the mark would last, he released his teeth. The blood started flowing profusely and Riley licked at the wounds to help speed the healing as John started rapidly shifting.

After a few shifting cycles John was completely healed and had the scar in the shape of Riley’s teeth pattern. He was claimed now, John was now every bit as much Riley’s mate as Riley was his. He looked around and found the clothes that the two of them had thrown off in the heat of passion. He grabbed them with his teeth flung them over the branch of a near by tree to dry out. He walked back up to John, who was back in his lion form, in his tiger form and nuzzled him under the chin. He went back to the rabbit tacks and picked up the scent and started to quietly follow them. This time John was at his side and not following him, a sign that they were equals. He got to a small grouping of tiny bushes and stopped. As before, he lowered his front half and raised his hind end into the air his tail twitching. He dove into the bush and a few seconds later came out with the rabbit hanging from his teeth, Riley’s mouth as close as it could be to a big grin. He tossed the rabbit at John’s feet and went off to find something for himself to eat while John was eating. He got the scent of a raccoon and within a few minutes he was trotting back to John with the little guy in his mouth and the two of them had breakfast together.

After they were done eating they went walking back to the clearing and Riley checked the clothes to see if they were dry. They weren’t quite dry, so Riley got the fire going again in his were form and warmed himself. He set up a little stand to dry the clothes on out of a few branches. He sat next to the fire and cuddled with John as they waited for the clothes to dry, he didn’t think either of them wanted to be caught running to the car naked, if the gravel road happened to be someone’s driveway. The two of them were blissfully unaware that they were being watched.

John's pained roar from the initial bite alerted Ko-jin on the other side of the hill. He peered down with Lapin's binos only to see Riley with his maw fierce around the back of John's neck. "What the....."

He watched as John shifted rapidly through his forms Riley lapping at the blood that stained his fur. There was a lot of it, enough to soak the fur there and drip in the snow. It wasn't until he remembered the night before and remembered the age old mating ritual of all felines and their biting. It was like that wasn't it. A love bite.....only......no..... "He caught a glimpse of the pale white scar at the back of Riley's neck a roar boiled at the back of his throat. He dropped the binoculars and shifted into his great dark lion form and loped after the pair close but out of sight. This is far too much to just sit by here and watch as this boy corrupts my son! Marking him like some common bitch!

The tiger did all the hunting like a woman yet he fucked and marked John as if he owned him. He was a disgrace no matter what way you looked at it. There was no way that the gods would look upon this and see it as anything other than an abomination. Ko-jin crept up on the hunter whose attention had been on a raccoon at the time he heard the scuffle and the snap of bones and it was just as Riley trotted back to John that Ko-jin charged. It was a shock to see how fast a beast of his size could actually move His mane and muscles rippled and his face distorted into fury his brows and the bridge of his muzzle contorted into a viscious roar as he barelled out of the bushes and attempted to shut his maw around Riley's throat, shoving him sideways with his sheer mass and attempting to pin him down with his paws, hugging him too close to bite back.

His initial bite missed he bit down on flesh but missed the spinal column sending his canines to rake through his fur and into Riley's skin. It would have left a mild graze and a few puncture wounds that looked and felt worse than it really was. No vital harm. The momentum had already been distributed and Ko-jin was too close to tear off flesh as he collided into the boy. He let go and attempted another bite at the neck, meanwhile attempting to bring his hind legs back up under himself and wrap his forepaws around Riley to keep him from countering. It was a smart move as he knew Riley was likely faster than himself. Keeping him close and within biting distance was his best move as he was twice as large and probably a little bit stronger. If he got Riley pinned with his legs out from under him he could very well tear out his throat.

This is a collaboration post

Riley was caught off gaurd by the sudden attack. "Shit it's him!" he thought to himself. "How did I not know he was here? I was distracted, how did I get THAT distracted?" He scolded himself in a spit second in his mind. The position he was in made it impossible for him to bite back and the pain in his neck was more than a little distracting. He did the only thing he was sure would give him the leverage he needed; he shifted to his were-cat form. Upon doing so he was able to manuver an arm around and he decided to fight in more of a human way, dirty. He retracted all the claws on his free hand and started jabbing repaetedly into Ko-jin's belly to try to get the beast off of him. He knew that even if he were to hit a vital organ, it would only take a few shifting cycles to heal it.

In Ko-jin's second attempt to bite down on Riley's neck he missed completely as Riley shifted growing taller. He was able to get his his hind paws under him and extend his body to take a swipe at his face with one of his paws, claws extended. It was then that Ko-jin felt the jabs in his belly as Riley's claws tore into him sending blood everywhere. Ko-jin let out a pained roar and went back, shifting first to his werecat then briefly into his human, cluching at the slashes in his stomach that sewed themselves gradually. He lunged again before the wound quite fully healed, shifting mid-air into his were-lion form aiming to wrap his hands around Riley's throat. He brought a fist down on Riley's muzzle and snarled at him sending another into his diaphram. "How DARE you!" He snarled into his face. "How DARE you take my Son!"

Between the blow to the muzzle and the claws across the face, Riley's face was taking a beating, somewhere in the very back of his mind his vanity was hoping he was still cute after all this was over. With Ko-jin's words and a punch to the stomach everything made sense, he had seen what he had done and how he had marked John. He understood his anger completely, but he was too pissed at this point to care. He knew that Ko-jin had to get all this out, and hopefully they didn't kill each other in the process. "TAKE him? You stupid old man, he came running to me!" Riley growled as he spit out a little blood. "Besides, he was never yours to begin with. You were nothing more to him than a sperm donor!" He snarled as he lifted a knee right into his groin. Riley knew from being a bouncer that sometimes fighting dirty was the only sure way to win.

Ko-jin let out an odd sound between a strangled roar and a yelp and went to his knees. He clutched at himself a moment but the look he gave Riley was full of anger and hate and sadness as well as shame. He growled once more and got back to his feet. "What do you know, boy? What do you know of me, of him. I am his father and he is all I have left. I brought him into this world with my own two hands." He extended his rough, bloody hands for Riley to see. "You don't know what it is to be a father, it's likely you never will not like this. He is my blood and blood flows stronger than anything. I will do whatever it takes to get my son back. My boy."

"Finally!" Riley thought. "He's starting to talk, maybe now he'll listen." Riley calmed himself and looked into the old Lion's eyes, not with a threatening glare, but with a compashion for the father who was trying to accomplish a similar goal, but just doing it all wrong. "You want to get him back? You have to treat him like the man he is, do things on his terms, not mine, not yours just his. I want you to be a part of his life. I want you to teach him everything it means to be a lion that my tribe could never teach him. I lost my father, i lost him long before he died. You wanted to know what I know of your son; I know one thing above all else, he loves me. For the nine years I was missing from his life he spent nearly every waking moment trying to figure out what had happened to me, the funny thing was even he didn't realize he loved me. I don't want to come between a father and son, but he choose me and he marked me for a reason. And my marking him wasn't a means of claiming my property, it was signifying that the two of us were equals in every way. I have no objection to him continuing your bloodline, but there are many ways to go about doing that and all of this should be discussed with John. I'm on your side whether you see it or not, i want the same things for John that you do, but please don't hurt him to do so."

Ko-jin was silent for a moment, his eyes never leaving Riley. He mulled things through in his mind. 'This kid...' Ko-jin shifted for a moment and straightened his posture, the slashes in his stomach aching, blood leaking from the bits that hadn't healed fully yet. He grunted slightly from it and spoke in a measured tone "Alot of times when a lion finds a mate it's for the blood. Maybe......maybe he's strong or she's got excellent hunting skills or.....she has a long line of alpha males in her family line...." He paused a moment. "You don't hardly get stuff like this."

At this point Ko-jin looked away. He felt ashamed of all of this. He'd fucked up raising the kid loosing him to an asshole of a hunter now he couldn't get this right. He looked back at Riley again, a stern look in his eyes. "I don't agree with all this. I don't think I ever will not fully. But....even I can see when the Gods have made a choice. You're right....this is John's call."

Riley smiled a faint smile at the old lion. "You know you two are the lucky ones, I didn't exactly have a choice in the matter. Lions don't imprint, but some tigers do. I did, and John was the one I imprinted on. Don't get me wrong, I loved him before I imprinted, but once I did, I couldn't see anyone else. But John, he chose me. For that I will always love him. We may not agree with the details, but we do agree with the one important thing, we want your son to be happy." He extended a hand to Ko-jin as an expression of friendship. "My name's Riley by the way. If you prefer I'll call you Sir." Riley bowed to him as a sign of respect for the authority he had when he had a full pride. "Now, let's go get your son and talk to him." he grinned and started off in the direction that John was in.

Ko-jin shook Riley's hand, a little unsure what to think of the whole imprinting thing. "Call me Ko-jin only humans use Sir." He muttered. He did enjoy the bow though, he didn't say so. It had been a long time since anyone offered him the respect of an alpha lion. "A true leader needs no titles to make him one." He followed Riley back through the forest, Ko-jin paused only to pick up the racoon Riley seemed to have forgotten about. He offered it back to him. "Never waste a kill."

John meanwhile had been gnawing at his rabbit, getting the small bits of hard to reach meat from the little bones, wondering what on earth was taking Riley so long. He groomed blood from his muzzle and paws and let out a massive yawn.

Riley took the raccoon and continued to chew on it as they walked back to where John was waiting. He wondered how on earth John hadn't heard the scuffle or smelt his father's scent on the air, but then he remembered that he hadn't exactly caught the scent either. "So where's your hunter friend? He does still owe me blood." He wondered out loud. He wasn't sure if he should be watching his back and listening for the sound of a riffle being cocked but he did tweak his ears around on his head as the two walked.

"Our camp was behind the hill." Ko-jin said gesturing to the small hill off to the west. "I don't think I trust the man completely either but it seems he's not trying to hunt us for the moment. I prefer to keep him nice and close as opposed to sending him off....somewhere."

"Good idea, enemies closer and all that stuff." He laughed uneasily as he looked to the west and saw the hill where the two were keeping camp. He realized it had a perfect view of the clearing where the two of them had been the night before. "Oh Gods the poor guy saw everything." He thought to himself. "No wonder the guy went crazy." He got to the clearing and was able to see John grooming himself and looking as though he was about to fall asleep. "Sheesh, lazy bones, all ya had was a rabbit, not a turkey. You shouldn't be that tired ." He called out to him, waiting anxiously to see the look on his face when he realized who he was with.

"Hmmh?" John opened his eyes and suddenly jolted up to his feet turning human at record speed. "What the hell are you doing here?! What did you do to him?!" John first noticed Ko-jin walking side by side with Riley then the fact that Riley had scratches and a nasty bruise on his face. Ko-jin put his hands up as to say he wasn't there to fight.

"Now....Listen here-"

"YOU listen!" John snapped "What right do you have coming here and beating on Riley?!"

"I can explain, if you give me a chance to." Ko-jin said, his voice rising above John's "I wanted to apologise about how I acted before....I didn't realize...no I didn't understand exactly....what it was you guys had. Now...." He put a hand up cutting off John as he was about to interrupt. "Listen....Just for five minutes, boy." Damn this kid has a lot of me in him. He thought

"I get it, you're not the little cub anymore. I can't treat you like a little cub and tell you what you can or can't do. You want to..." He glanced at Riley, changing the wording he had in his mind. "You want to mate....with another guy I can't change that....but...Don't kick me out I'm your father."

John looked to Riley, hoping for a clearer explaination as to what the hell he'd missed out on his little hunting trip.

"It's okay, Johnny, I gave as good as I got, maybe better." He smiled and nudged Ko-jin in the spot he had slashed and stabed. "I was hunting and I guess your dad here saw that I had marked you, among other things, and he reasonably went a little nuts. He attacked me, but I understand why and I'm okay, so please don't be too mad at him. We talked it out after the fighting had subsided and I helped him realize that I wasn't trying to take you away from him. Don't cut him out of your life,John. He is your father and he loves you. I can't tell you how important it is to keep him in your life. He can teach you all the things about your culture that you never got to learn in the tribe. And ... maybe later .... if you really want to... you can keep the bloodline going. Not nesecarily the traditional method, of course, but maybe a seroget and invetro fertilization? You'd make a great father. But I'm getting way too far ahead of myself, the point is Ko-jin is willing to do what it takes to be your father. You deserve to have your father in your life, so don't waste this opprotunity. We both love you and want you to be happy." He smiled as he shifted to human form only to realize then that the tow of them were still naked. He shifted back to his were-tiger form as he wasn't comfortable giving Ko-jin the up-close version of the show he'd already seen. Not that that really hid anything, but at least there was the modesty of the fur.

John looked to Ko-jin then Riley. "Alright..." He said carefully, "As long as you understand that I'm not just John your kid. I'm John the kid that was raised by tigers and fell in love with a tiger."

Ko-jin nodded. John wasn't entirely sure what to expect at that point, a group hug or a pat on the head or...Instead Ko-jin picked up John's pants and tossed them into his chest. "Put some pants on, boy you're flashing the whole forest. The both of you..."

Riley grabbed his own pants from the makeshift drying stand he had set up earlier and pulled them on and shifted back to his human form. "So are we still headed to Alaska? Not sure there's a lot of places for a group like us back home. There's still a lot of unclaimed territory up there." He grinned. Riley was still well aware that he couldn't return home and he couldn't join a lion's pride. This really seemed like the only option for them. Not to mention that just because Ko-jin was understanding, didn't mean other lions would be and he didn't want Ko-jin to sacrifice his dignity if he didn't have to.

"Funny idea for a jungle cat and a savanah lion." Ko-jin murmured. The cold was going to be a little bit of a nightmare but if he could do anything it was to adjust. The fact that he'd just agreed to allow his only son to be gay pretty much proved that in his eyes. Though "allowing" wasn't really the word to use for it. "Alaska it is then. I can tell you most lion tribes would chase us off even if it was just me and John. They're very finicky about who they let in. Especially an old pride leader like me."

"What about Lapin." John muttered. "Any tribe is going to serve him up. Not that I'm complaining..."

"Well, I guess we take him with us, so we can keep an eye on him. I agree with Ko-jin, i don't want him straying too far away. Not that I wouldn't love tearing him to shreds, but he did have the opprotunity to kill us and he didn't, so I'm a little on the fence about what to do about him. We really should go get him before he thinks we're down here plotting his demise and decides to take us all out so we don't become a problem for him later."

"Excellent, we have several rabbits that we can cook up or eat raw. They're fresh just caught them early..." He Ko-jin trailed off slightly as he remembered his early morning/late night hunting rush after he'd seen things he wish he hadn't. He lead John and Riley up the hill. John extinguished their fire after picking up one longer burning stick in order to kick start their fire up on the hill.

Lapin watched Ko-jin rushing to the boy who was out hunting and quietly cursed , snatching up his rifle.

" What the hell are you doing?" He asked Ko-jin from afar not really expecting him to hear. He dropped down and settled into place with the rifle watching Ko-jin closely. He watched as the two started to fight, there wasn't going to be a clean shot if there had to be. Lapin forced him self to remain calm as he watched the brutal brawl.... After a few back and forths it seemed the two were talking. Lapin didn't move the cross hair from Ko-jins chest until the two started walking away...

Lapin growled a little. Were's were so fucking strange... Lapins shifted his gaze to John who was dicking around with a rabbit...
odds were they were going to be up here later now that he and Ko-jin's cover was blown.

'might as well start something to eat...' He rested the rifle down and started to clear out a spot for a small cooking fire.
About the time he got the first started he heard foot steps from down the hill, the crunching snow gave them away faster than their chatter, but only by a little.

'shit... Ko-jin will know I was watching him from my snow prints...' Lapin bit his lip in frustration... 'I'm getting so careless...'
He quietly hoped that Ko-jin would take the fact that Lapin hadn't shot any of them as a sign rather than take it as he was aiming at him...or his son.

"Lapin! Start up a fire! We all should have a sit down and enjoy some breakfast...even though you two have already ate...well...John has." Ko-jin looked to John who wiped at a bit of blood from the corner of his mouth. This was all a bit odd to him. He still didn't feel completely like this wild old man was his father. He had darker more olive colored skin than him and his wild hair puffed out a bit making him look like a lion even when he wasn't transformed. He did share the same fierce glint in his eyes though and the slight crook in the bridge of his nose as well as a matching half smile. John studied him without a word and absently took Riley's hand, pulling him close. He should be happy about all this but he felt nothing but distrust toward the man. Him and his hunter. Riley claims him to be a good man, I should relax a little more.

Ko-jin took the string of rabbits down from the tree limb and pulled a folding blade from a pocket in his leather jacket. He cut a few and lay them out one next to the other in the snow. Bite marks could be seen on each of them where Ko-jin had taken them down. One of them had an ear torn off.

"Your hunting is a bit clumbsy." John muttered.

"Males don't hunt in a pride, son. It's a woman's job to hunt and bare children. The men protect. We build and keep territory, patrol and keep the peace. Where I lack in hunting skills I make up for in strength and fighting prowess as your tiger friend knows." He chuckled heartily then winced putting a hand over his belly. "Although....I have to say he does have fight in him...I went easy be sure of that." He grumbled.

John sighed and looked away. "Sure you did old man. You got your ass beat at least admit to that."

Ko-jin frowned. He stood and went to help Lapin collect sticks and logs for the fire. John took whatever was brought and created a nice cluster then took the flaming stick he took from Riley and John's other fire. He used it to light the rest and stuck it in as well giving them a quick fire.

Meanwhile, in the quiet tundra of the Alaskan wilderness, there was a small group of motor homes grouped together in a circle in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. These vehicular domiciles belonged to a group of therians that had come together from tribes all over the continent. The news had made its way around about the group of therians banding together to take out the hunters.

The door of one of these motor homes slipped open and out walked a young man who didn’t look much older than twenty-six, but was, in fact thirty. The man stretched and yawned as he stood on the step of the door revealing a set of inhuman canines in his mouth. His mohawk wasn’t standing straight up, but was leaning to one side with no product in it. He shifted to his snow leopard form and started sniffing the ground. He picked up the scent of a small animal, he wasn’t sure what it was, but he ran off in the direction the animal was in, letting out what seemed to be the feline equivalent of hysterical laughter as he ran off, before the sound was replaced by a sudden silence.

He stopped in his tracks. He had picked up the scent of a human, not just any human, the human. The one that killed his lover years ago, the one he’d been tracking for a very long time now. The vision filled his head as it did every morning. He was suddenly no longer in the tundra of Alaska, but back in the apartment in New York. He opened the door and the scene was horrifically gruesome. There was blood everywhere and Quinn let out a primal roar as he saw the dismembered body of his mate lying front down in the middle of their bed. His head was impaled upon the bed post closest to the door and his body had been desecrated in horrific ways he could barely bare to remember. He saw the note scrawled in blood on the wall.

“His death was not short or painless. This is just a warning. You will put an end to this resistance group now. Your kind is coming to an end and I’m the one who will bring it about. You are all abominations of nature and will be wiped off this planet like the trash you are. If you follow me, your fate will be worse than his.”

All the rage and anger from that day came flooding his senses as he picked up the scent of the hunter. He took off running in the direction the scent was coming from. The door to one of the other motor homes opened and a female therian stepped out and yelled at him. “Don’t do it Quinn, it’s a trap!”

Joe had been walking back towards his trailer, picking at something in his teeth when he spotted a black and white blur running off towards the treeline. His instinct kicked in before the door to the motor home even opened. He yanked off his cowboy hat and broke into Quinn's path, standing like a football player ready to catch a charge. His eyes glimmering with excitement. "Round one already, eh?! Come past me first Quinn! WOAH"

He went low, collapsing onto his knees feeling the grass break and grind against his jeans likely to leave ugly grass stains all across them, his arms closed around Qunn's small furry neck but he could feel his lithe feline form collapse under the touch like a sponge seeking to scramble right through and climb over him. He put some forward momentum to it and flipped the feline onto his back, pressing his forearm against his chest, feeling as claws raked across his skin. "You better calm yer shit down before I smack you upside the goddamn head Quinn!"

It may have seemed like excessive force for a feline his size but Joe had wrestled a therian before, they transform like water in a split second he was likely to be back to his human size or perhaps even bigger, and they could take a hit compared to their simple animal counterparts. "Take a breath!" He shouted. He only hoped Quinn wasn't too far into his hunter's mode. He could very easily tear out his throat if he wasn't careful.

Meanwhile, Kevin was easing along a game trail crossing a patch of tundra northwest of there. He was looking for a place to set his camp. He knew from rumors and the slight pattern of game activity that something was out there in the tundra. Something hunting the plentyful Alaskan game. It might be therians it might be a tribe of Alaskans. He didn't know but he was bound to find out eventually. He parked just within a cluster of trees and established himself a perimeter, digging himself a fire pit and setting up his trailer where he prepared and cut his kills as well as kept his......guests. His trailer was self sustaining save for gas and he had plenty of spare gas. He'd wired it to take solar power when the engine was off so that he could cook and use the water heater as well as a gas generator for heavier usage. He didn't use the septic tank when he was hunting so that was empty and would stay that way. There was all of nature to use when nature called. He checked and double checked his bows and cross bows as well as each arrow he owned, sharpened and maintained his hunting knives then loaded a handgun in case shit got way out of hand and they found him where he slept. He placed the handgun on his nightstand in the RV. Tomorrow he would start tracking and then the games would begin.

"Already on it." Lapin answered making a birds nest from some of the pine needles that were at least a little dry. He pulled a small bundle of tender from his pocket and lit it with a zippo to start the birds nest, after he started building the fire as one would any other fire.

"So, what's the plan ?" He asked tending the small fire, his eyes glanced up at the three were's. Part of him quietly wondered if he was going to be killed or not, odds were tho he'd at least get one of them... He shook his head a bit smiling. Where did that dark thought come from.... Then again they really didn't need him anymore. Ko-jin might use to him gain favor with a tribe, His son would likely love to knock the dog shit out of him.. and then the other boy would probably like to him suffer.

" If we're heading north we need to avoid Kelowna, there is a large gathering of hunters around there this time of year due to the bear clan that lives there. " He said , trying to subtly implant the idea that he might have more worth than a corpse.

He dug into his backpack as they mulled over what ever and produced a small cast iron pan and pot, both were only about 6 inches in diameter. Big enough to cook some simple meals on for sure. He also pulled out something that looked like a fishing tackle box, it was in fact a spice-rack.

Riley looked at the fire and took the raccoon he’d hunted do earlier and impaled it on a sharp stick, then propped it up near the fire. He’d started to develop a taste for smoked meats due to meat sticks that John seemed to be fond of. He only intended to allow it to absorb a little bit of smoky flavor before eating it. He knew Ko-jin would probably have some smart assed remark about going soft. He didn’t care, he liked what he liked. He took note of Lapin’s advise about where to avoid as they went to Alaska.

“We’ll have to stop somewhere and get some snow tires or chains for the car, but I don’t think it’ll be too hard to avoid Kelowna.” Riley replied. He was doing his best to restrain his anger toward the hunter. Fighting him wouldn’t get any of them anywhere. Besides, they did have a mission, sort of. He’d heard of a group of weres that had banded together to resist the humans. He knew that at least the three of them, could join up with them, Lapin may not make it, but he didn’t really much care about that. As long as he was with John and his father was still in his life, Riley didn’t care what the fuck they did Lapin, hell he might even give them a hand.

"Do all you tigers eat like humans?" Ko-jin asked with a deep throaty chuckle before tearing into the neck of a rabbit with his lion's teeth.

John flashed him a look. "We're half human too you know." He said stubbornly sticking a rabbit up next to Riley's raccoon. "You can't deny sometimes humans think up good ideas. Like clothing....and cars."

Ko-jin laughed loudly. "Clothing. In our old tribe, men and women alike would wear nothing but skins about their waist. Women would let their breasts fly free like the summer breeze! Why bother with clothing when you can be free and wild like we're meant to. Myth would have it back in the ancient days we could run for miles and never tire. Cars would have been pointless then too."

"So we where naked gods." John said flatly, unimpressed. "I still think the smoked meat is better."

"What of you, hunter? Any ancient lore in your bloodline?" Ko-jin asked turning to Lapin.

" Me? Ancient lore?" Lapin leaned back a bit watching the flames lick at the small twigs in the fire.
" Well.. you know the SS were primarily were wolves correct, sort of why most weres get associated with killers and what not among humans. My grandfather was in the unit that picked apart their hierarchy and finished their blood line. " He said pulling the bag of elk strips from his bag and started to warm them with the. " there were rumors among the hunters that those SS guys were targeting lesser were's as well... Rumors that later turned out to be confirmed. My grandfather told me stories about some of the things he saw while in one of their bunkers that made my stomach churn..." He said watching the meat sizzle. " He and the Russian were wolf unit , Bodark , had a go at it as well , fighting over some information that the government wanted."

" My father delt with the were's in Vietnam that were targeting the U.S forces... but he didn't say much about it." Lapin seemed to clam up a tad more than normal when he spoke about his father, not that the man was very open to start with.

" Tho I suppose you don't really want to hear of my cutlers "heroic" lore " He said the word heroic rather sarcastically, as if agreeing with him self that it was stupid to call it that.

" Nor do you want to hear about how young and dumb I was, and arguably still am : Dumb that is,as I am clearly not young anymore. " He kinda grinned pulling back his emotional mask he had built up over the long years.

" There is ofcourse the "famous" side of my families' history. Believe it or not you were's well being is a highly debated topic for hunters, or rather was up until my banishment from council... " He said taking some of the cooked elk and gnawed at it looking at the hillside covered in snow. " I might go hunting in a little if you guys don't mind, ofcourse I will need a babysitter. "

Re: Time for Change

Understood. That's okay by me. I'm going to slow my posting for a while until there's an opportune moment to introduce my character to the story arc. For now, he's in the area. I don't want to advance the story you're laying out in a direction that you're not ready to go in.

If any other 'hunter' characters want to link up, feel free to post about it here.

Re: Time for Change

Poor taste maybe, but its fitting to her character who happens to be a psychopath. And no there is no maturity limit as far as gore is concerned.

Re: Time for Change

This got dark really fast. Somebody just beheaded a baby. That's not the kind of thing that rational people do. Are there any limits on the maturity of the content here? That was just in poor taste.

Re: Time for Change

@xxMCxMIKEYxx - Nice first post. I was just wondering where you intend to take your storyline. Would you like another character to step into the arc you've begun or would you prefer to wrap it up yourself? I'm open to the possibility of playing as the hunter you've introduced, but I don't want to step on your toes if you've got something else in mind. Let me know!

Time for Change
