Evonne was pressed flat to the cold floor sheltering under a bed of all places. She covered her airways carefully to dull the sound of her breathing and had time to disapprove of her crossing paths with this ran down hotel, thinking she could independently solve its problems. It sounded supernatural at first. So she was expecting a low-class demon or ghost to encounter but instead it only hosted a serial killer. No matter the powers on her side, Evonne didn’t know how to deal with a human criminal that had a few mental problems with the way he raved on about it being his home. They never cared to address any of these scenarios in her time of training with other specials.

He was a killer - in some aspects much like the beasts they were trained to defeat. But he was also human which meant he was fitting for the authorities to pass the punishment suiting for the crime. So what could she do? She knew getting him down and sustaining him long enough to call the cops and wait their arrival would be ideal. Doing it without powers was the difficulty though. She couldn’t simply cage him in a force-field without risk of him telling the authorities. No matter how bizarre the tale could sound, some people believed and that was a risky breadcrumb to leave behind. Especially with her trademark bright red hair.

Each boot landed slow and deliberate, stalking his prey. And Evonne felt the part too, much like a deer. She was frozen watching him get closer and closer with wide startled eyes, yet ready to flee at any moment.

It was odd really. She thought herself driven by business to no end. That it morphed her into a very confident and determined individual for redemption. Yet she was stuck hiding under a bed, waiting to be caught, without a clue of escape.

With one leg crossed over the other, her foot danced in anticipation sitting buried in the shadows of the corner of the training room. The first rays of dawn were cracking through the windows providing the light and announcing another day. This is what training had come to for Charlotte. This was her way of exercising her powers. Awaiting the next poor soul to step through the double doors and invade their mind then try and black it out on demand.

She was yet to conquer complete control of her powers. Complete control meant reading minds at will then tuning it out when she wanted. Some days, she couldn't even read people's thoughts or scan their details. It was as if they were hidden away from her. Other days, there was no off switch at all. Of course, she'd never share this current flaw with anyone.

Charlotte stripped out some of her strawberry gum from her jacket pocket waiting for her first target. Who would it be today? One of the trainers? Liam? Morgan? Either way their mind was her open book, she assured herself. Plus, morning groggy minds were usually the most susceptible and mellow.

A girl had to advance her powers somehow.

The day her Father told her about a man he knew called Sebastian, and what he did for youths like herself.. she always felt like she was about to enter Hogwarts. She didn't really want Adam to come, because if anything was to happen to him while at this place, she'd want to die. "What's on your mind, babe? and don't tell me, 'nothing'. I know you."

She so desperately wanted to avoid the question completely, especially since she couldn't bring herself to look at him as her throat was tightening, and both of her beautiful eyes were pooling with the sorrow that was eating at the inside of her slowly. Her mind was like a spaghetti junction which was moving at 200 mph, making it impossible to focus on one thing at a time.

"Just calm down.. relax. Everything is going to be okay, and everything will work itself out in the end." - she thought. "I just miss my family. I miss all of them, and just home in general. It'll be Christmas soon, and I'm not even going to be able to spend it with them am I?" she swallowed gently, making sure to fight back the tears that were really wanting to burst out of her. Adam knew not to hug her at this point, because if he did!? then she would be sure to cry. He could bet on it. "I know it's not what you want, and I know I'm not exactly family, but.. you have me, Morgan." he was wrong to think for one second that he wasn't as important as her family. "I know.. and you are family, Adam. You're the family of my own." They began to kiss lovingly before they were interrupted with a knock on the door.

Morgan sighed as she slowly pulled out of the kiss she was enjoying, and kept her eyes closed whilst putting her forehead to her boyfriends. "Yes?" she asked the person on the other side of the door who had been knocking. "House keeping." so it was the maid. "Can you come back later please? Thank you." Morgan remained kind, so she wasn't nasty about it, and the maid knew Morgan was a nice person to the core.. so she wandered off to clean other rooms first.

His feet hit the pavement hard with each step. His heel touched down, then his toes followed, then his entire foot was off the ground as the other foot followed its steps. His breathing was centered and his eyes focused on the road ahead of him. The beads of sweat that dripped down his forehead, narrowly escaping his eyes, hit the ground with each pounding step. He ran with no destination. Miles of land lay ahead of him and he planned on running most of it. Liam ran to escape the world around him. He was an escapist in this way. He didn’t like confronting people, or his problems, so instead he ran to clear his mind. He tried his best to stay in shape and to keep his training up. He started training with his parents and grandmother at a young age and as he got older, he didn’t slow down. He always brought Alex along because he felt that without him, she wouldn’t do anything.

He slowed his run to a jog and occasionally peeked over his shoulder to see if Alex was keeping up. He’d slow down to her pace and jog next to her until she sped up a little. And when her pace stayed the same, he’d get behind her and push a little. Alex would complain every time. “Liam, cut it out!” Liam would stop pushing at her back and jog beside her again. “Well if you hurried the hell up, I wouldn’t have to push you everywhere, Alex!” Alex would huff and puff at Liam, but to him it made no difference what the hell was coming out of her mouth. He just wanted her to be properly trained. Liam ran ahead of Alex and called back out to her. “Let’s go Alex. Pick it up.”

Alex groaned as her brother called out to her, she groaned when he slowed down, and she groaned when he’d push her to make her go faster. Alex was starting to think that all the words in her vocabulary were escaping her and she was only able to make sounds like cavemen once did. She understood that she needed the training and that was why she was in the stupid place to begin with but it frustrated her that Liam was always the one doing the training with her, during her personal hours nonetheless. She wanted to have time for herself. She didn’t want to be stuck with her brother running, she wanted to train her power. She wanted to do what she wanted to do. She wanted to hang out with her friends instead.

Alex jogged slowly behind Liam and when he finally came to a stop, she walked the rest of the way to him. She wasn’t as intense in her training as Liam was, and she was sure that this was the reason Liam had no friends. “Are we done yet?” Liam rolled his eyes at his sister but nodded his head as well. “Yeah dumbass, we’re done. You know, you’re going to have to be able to catch up one day. It’s gonna cost you if you don’t get it together.” Now it was Alex’s turn to roll her eyes. She didn’t respond to her brother. Instead, she turned away from him and started heading back to the building so she could shower and do something other than train with Liam.

After spending most of the morning practicing shifting Stella walked outside and began to stretch her body was tired from working so much but her mind was racing the sun was bright and the sky was clear a perfect day for a quick jog around the grounds. She took off at a slow walk and gradually sped up graduating from a walk to a jog to a full on sprint. As she neared the end of her run Stella could see two figures in the distance, she smiled at I herself, knowing exactly who it was she pushed herself to run faster and as she approached her two friends she shifted forms, she ran up to the brother and sister and stood next to Liam, she smiled at him, even though she looked like him. "So how you two chickens doin?" She smiled quickly shifting back to her usual girly self.
"Hey Alex how's about we leave this pansy and go russel up some grub?" Stella smiled and puffed up her chest acting all tough.

Jin-Ho Song

Hex: #9900cc || Power:Magnetic/Electrical Manipulation || Location: Training Room

There are many aspects of life that Jin-Ho can adapt too. He adapted to med school at a young age where most would feel intimidated by the cut throat world medicine. He adapted well. When as a young boy he gained incredibly destructive abilities, he admits, he was scared. Anyone would be. However after enough time, Jin-Ho was able to adapt to this as well. Even after finally adjusting to his new life and the difficulties that came with it, he was forced off to the Outskirts of the World with others "like him". This too, he has adapted too.....in his own way. One thing, though, Jin-Ho is fairly certain he will never adapt too....the morning.

With a combination of his Hypertension and his late night studying for his medical exams, the early morning sun was not his friend. Jin-Ho rarely rose before noon. Though unfortunately for Jin, many of the instructors here believe one should rise early to aid in discipline. Jin believes that these instructors should have switch taken to their eyes. It is incredibly hard to force one who can magnetically bind himself to his bed. In order to circumvent this, certain instructors have developed more.....stealthy techniques. This is one such time as that.

Jin-Ho's eyes groggily bleared into life. After a few moments of collecting himself, Jin-Ho realized he was not inhis room. In fact, he was dressed in a casual(designer casual) outfit. He was sitting in a chair in the ready room just outside of the Training Room. Jin-Ho sighed heavily. He had gotten used to waking up dressed in front of his assignment for the day. He wondered what it ould be this time, and secretly hoped he would get to blow something up to alleviate his frustration. Jin-Ho centered himself and entered the Training Room.

Jin_ho was confused upon entering the Training Room. He expected to be welcome to sight of several of his peers training and an Instructor awaiting his arrival to put him through some kind of test. Instead he was introduced to a dark, empty room. s he entered, the doors shut behind him with a loud clang. This was most odd, Jin-Ho mused in Korean if this was a test or something. He tried to focus and see in inferred, but all he got for his trouble was a headache. Jin-Ho wandered farther in, preparing himself. The air around started to rapidly dry and static electricity began to build up. Anyone in the room would have their hair standing on end. No visible electricity could be seen though.

"Hello..........hello?"

HEX:#2a6b01 || Power: Illusions || Location: 'Outskirt of the world'-Chambers > Training Room

Sebastian woke with a little grumble and groan glancing to his digital clock. He didn't mind his own job he had organized for himself, but it didn't make mornings any easier. Reluctantly, he left his bed to gaze out his window and there was a certain buzz of activity in the air that he looked forward to chiming in on. It was all for the best cause.

There were supernatural children to be trained. Many of them and their powers had extraordinary potential. Some of them weren't prepared for the real field as based on the illusions he would induce on them. It would either come down to a lack of mental coping, power execution or unity. Primarily unity. That needed much polishing. But he didn't feel confident in gathering them all to speak of ,if they faced the real deal - a wendigo for instance. The clever, quick cannibalistic creature would have a feast of them because they'd work as individuals and not a team. That wasn't entirely an uplifting appropriate speech to inspire or correct errors.

He served himself some breakfast in the kitchen area then strolled to the training room to prepare what obstacle he might offer for them today. Whatever it was, he knew it had to exert some mental capacity as well as physical energy and of course work their powers. Sebastian brushed through the doors of the empty room, ideally used for the training sessions that included power usage.

It was routine for him to eye every corner of what room he entered and hoped to spend some time in. A silly gesture for peace of mind but when he spotted two figures. As he focused he identified the two eager students. "Charlotte. Jin. Haven't you better things to do?" He said in light-heart with a smile. Sebastian didn't mind their presence at all. He plucked at his slice of toast. "Have either of you at least had breakfast?" He asked casually, dusting the crumbs from his fingers onto his plate.

He didn't want them swept away in training their powers already when he had an exercise planned.

For once, Tyler was up and about with a spring in his heel for a morning. And he was feeling genuinely good as far as morning standards went. On his own run, he passed the Herring siblings in a blur and smirked to himself while they bickered in the good old sibling fashion. Tyler could not imagine running at such a normal pace and puffing in the process or even having to hold such determination to conquer the distance as Liam. It was something rarely experienced for him.

Tyler imagined it would suck to have to train in fitness. The thought made him more thankful for his gifts. He still insisted his own runs were exercise and counted towards productivity, just less challenging so he didn't have to do weight-lifting exercises. He had already previously made the mistake in claiming there wasn't any fitness training for him to really do...

Then he spotted Evonne, frowned and followed her. She made him worry sometimes with her recent love of business so it was an obligation. He flashed pass and knocked his elbow into the man's head that stalked towards the red head. He had seen her run into the room. "Come on Evie." He said gently, with his eyes focused on the down man.

She had eventually arrived at the grounds after leaving her boyfriend back at the motel for now, and already she wished she hadn't left to come to this place. Why couldn't she just go into hiding and keep it that way. She folded her arms with a sigh, and just thought she'd get this over and done with.

Her stomach began to growl, so she headed to the kitchen for something to eat. Wasn't exactly hard to find considering the smell of food was coming from in that general direction. With the sad emotion she had deep down inside the pit of her stomach, it began to lightly snow above her as she wandered passed a couple of people she didn't know, or recognize.

Hex:#00e7ad|/|Power:Enhanced Senses|\|Location:'Rose’s Gym'-->Training Room
Song:Devil In I - Slipknot||[i]Outfit:Workout-->Training

As Lilith's song came to an end she abruptly stopped herself, mid kick. She had been working out in one of the training rooms since 4 a.m. that morning and, if the length of her playlist had anything to say about it, she had been there a while. Lowering her foot Lilith stared at the punching bag in front of her, her breath labored and sweat glistening on her skin. For a moment Lilith considered staying and skipping group training but decided against it and grabbed a towel out of her bag. Due to her practically living in the training rooms, this one especially, Lilith had helped pay for renovation of the room. These changes included the addition of a side room with showers in it as well as a mini kitchen in the corner and a futon against one of the walls. Heading to the shower room Lilith hopped in and took a quick cold shower. Emerging she heard some of the other starting to wake up in their rooms.

Letting out mumbled swears Lilith headed over to the mini kitchen and pulled the milk and a container full of fresh cut fruit out of the fridge. Setting the food down on one of the two small counters Lilith unplugged the electric kettle she had used earlier to plug in the blender. Tossing a few handfuls of fruit in the blender with some ice from the freezer and milk Lilith grabbed a cup as the machine blended the mixture into a smoothie. Due to her power Lilith could only eat fresh food, grown naturally on the grounds. As such she usually cooked her own food, utilizing the kitchen at night, after the smell of whatever else had been cooked is gone, to cook her next day’s meals and refrigerate them in what she considered her room. While they had offered her an actual room at first it took all of a week for them to realize it wasn’t going to be used and they instead helped her renovate one of the less used training rooms. After drinking her smoothie, eating some of the fruit and one of her homemade granola bars, which were actually quite popular in the facility, and picking up after her quick meal Lilith decided that enough people were awake for her to be out and about.

Walking down the hall Lilith almost felt sad that out of all the people here she had no firends. Almost. She didn’t trust people, period, it had been that way every since she arrived at Outskirt. Sebastian was the only person this unspoken rule was ever lenient to though only to a certain extent. Entering the main training room she found Jin, Sebastian, and Charlotte in there but instead of walking in and going to lean against the wall in silence like she usually did to wait for a lesson she flinched and swore, jumping back into the hall. The amount of static energy in the room not only felt like being stung by a thousand bees but also sounded like a blender with forks in it. With a sigh Lilith focused her powers and senses to where her prominent sense was taste, it being the one least likely to work against her. Walking back into the room at a leisurely pace Lilith went to her usual spot and leaned against the wall in silence.

Mirelle sat in her office, mulling over the paperwork of a few new recruits with (coincidentally) a cup of mulled cider. It seemed that there were more and more kids showing up with powers these days and not enough mentors to watch over all of them. She was lucky in the sense that she accrued experience dealing with the clerical side of tracking everyone, but not so lucky in that she still had to teach them how to perfect their ability usage. So many of them spent their time goofing off that it felt almost fruitless...well almost.

Mirelle was never one to give up and Sebastian certainly did his share of training as well. He worked more with the students than against them, acting less like a mentor and more like an older brother. Illusions were funny like that. Certainly that was no dig at his methods (or an accusation); however, she wasn't sure she agreed with his methods. Call her old fashioned, but she preferred respect and authority over friendship and the possibility of disrespect. She emptied her mug as she flipped the book to pan over to the next of many empty pages. Some were of deceased mentors while others were merely cleared to hide identities. Oh how she missed Trent! They needed to talk again, but he was too busy starting a family to visit. He always was.

Closing the book, she decided it best to refill on cider and exited the small room before locking it behind her. The complex wasn't a particularly big one (the estate only felt big due to the large training room and the woods surrounding the building) so her journey to the kitchen was short-lived. Instead she homed in on the students (and Sebastian) lounging around.

"Sebastian, other students," she greeted curtly as she walked to the fridge.
