By the year 3000, humanity began expanding itself by colonizing planets, and moons in the Sol System. Soon they began expanding their borders into other solar systems. The biggest mistake in our short existence. In 3012 we came in contact with a alien species that have come to be known as The Swarm. The Swarm were a race of insects that are extremely xenophobic, territorial, and paranoid. They saw that humanity was invading their territory, so they attacked, and drove us back into our home system.

They weren't satisfied with beating us back to the Sol System. They came upon us like a flood of locusts. They destroyed our colonies, bringing a whole new meaning to the term Scorched Earth. They drove us all the way back to Earth. With the casualties rising we needed a new strategy. We needed monsters to fight monsters. So we developed giant mechs called Titans. With our new weapons, we were able to combat them much better. But it was too late, by the time we were doing real damage they were already at our front door.

As they destroyed Earth, thousands of ships full to the brim flew off into the stars. For twenty years we drifted through the stars until he found the perfect planet for colonization. We named our new home Alke, after the spirit of courage in Greek Mythology. It was rough to adapt to a new planet full of strange creatures. But, as always, we persisted. We tamed the savage planet, and made it our own.

With the rising demand of Titans, and soldiers to pilot them, four academies were built to train the best, and brightest to be Titan Pilots. To be selected by any of the schools is a huge achievement, but one school is more prestige then the rest, the Atlas Academy. In each school the students are split up into different squads, but two stand above the rest in Atlas, the Orion Squad, and Talos Squad. You are apart of those squads. We all fight for something, what will you fight for?

Titans are giant machines between 50, and 100 feet tall. Titans are unique to every pilot as they build, and design their very own when they enroll into a academy. The Titans are controlled by their pilots by the use of several bands on the pilot's wrists, and ankles, as well as cameras inside the Titan that track the user's movement, and move the Titan accordingly.

Each Titan has an alternate form that could be something as simple as a vehicle to even a different Titan. It is a pilots duty to maintain, and keep their Titan in working order. But usually a squad member that excels in engineering to keep track of the machines.

Titan squads are each assigned an Artificial Intelligence that is linked up between the mechs. The A.I. controls many of the complex calculations that a human pilot can't possibly control. It also keeps the pilots in direct communication with each other, and maintains a communication link with the ship they are assigned to, or the Academy they attend in the case of students. Pilots wear a Bluetooth-like device that the A.I. can use to communicate with the pilot, as well as being able to summon their Titan.

Little is known about the enigmatic nemesis of humanity. Their technology, unlike ours seems to be organic in nature. As it will actually bleed when damaged. Their several different types of the enemy, more are discovered everyday.

The most well known type is the dreaded Arachoids, large spider-like creatures that are roughly the size of a car. They act as ground troops, mostly shock troops. Despite their size, they can still pose a threat to Titans in large swarms. The Arachoids are released viva large pods that contain dozens upon dozens of them.

And then there is the Drones. These are much more elusive than any other Swarm members, and are shown to be the brains of the operation. The Drones have never been seen alive, as the only samples of this type are the dead bodies among the wreckage of destroyed Swarm ships.

And then there are the other well known type, the ones that caused the invention of Titans, the biological equivalent to the Titans dubbed the Kaijus. Giant artifical monsters. Much like the Titans, no two are the same. They come in varied shapes, and forms. Some could be bipedal, or others quadruped. They are around the same size of the Titans, being between 50 to 100 feet tall.

The Orion Squad is well known for their reckless tactics, but there is no denying that they don't get the job done in their own way. The A.I. assigned to them is call Orion.

She comes from a long line of pilots that starch back to the first Titans ever built. She's best friends with the Talos Engineer.


Talos Squad favor clever tactics, and strategic planning rather than the 'play it by ear' formula that Orion Squad is known for. Their A.I. is named, of course Talos.

• Hello, hello, hello! I'm CutUp! This folks is like the third, or forth attempt (I've lost count) to get this RP off the ground. I really, really like this idea, and setting, and I have several story arcs in mind, and would like for it to go somewhere. Wouldn't you like for a RP not to die within a month for once? So let's get these rules done with, and have some fun! First off, reservations go to the OOC of course. You need three passwords before you start, which are hidden here in the rules.
• The FCs I picked aren't set in stone. If you have one you would rather use put up a gif around the same size as those I picked in the OOC, and I'll change it. First password: What's your character's hex color code?
• I don't mind romance, swearing, or violence, in fact it's encouraged! But you know, be mindful of the sites rules.
• No meta gaming, godmodding, bunnying, etc. You know, the basics. Second password: What will be your Titan's name? You DON'T have to tell me straight away, just say that you're thinking about it. Really I'm looking for an acknowledgment to this password than a straight forward answer.
• If you have any questions, comments, or concerns bring them to me! We have room to improve, me including.
• Let's try to be active alright? As I mentioned before I really, really want this to go somewhere. So let's try once a week maybe? But at least don't go two weeks without hearing a thing from you.
